huge day today; finished packing and sorting almost all of garage attic; cleaned upholstery on family room couch, 2 chairs, and ottoman
go van go!!!
when are you moving again?
fingers crossed... next Saturday
go volley go lol
LOL
hubby goofed, so he' have to come back the following week to finish his workbench in the garage... he put all of our packed boxes in front of it (think he may have done it on purpose, so I can't see just how many hammers, saws, and other tools he has accumulated)
do you have to do any handiwork on this house after you move?
a few really minor things... caulk one shower, touch up the interior of the cabinet under the kitchen sink, clean the leaves out of the flower beds... we did all the rest last summer
thought maybe he was leaving it out to use later...maybe not
not sure....you may be right... hadn't really thought of that
based on how low we are going to price it... I say it "is as is".
not a really big deal since you will be close...but we had to leave a lot of tools, paint supplies flashlights etc back at the old house for me to use after stuff was out of it
Only have 2 more email folders to go through!
Very good point; glad you mentioned that.
I saw daughter's cradle and her high chair today... can't believe how long it has been since I saw them.
i had to borrow some reflector lights from neighbor...forgot after we moved all of our lamps etc...was only able to paint during daylight....til i borrowed the stuff
found my dad's medals and papers from when he was a Marine ... WWII
crashing - last 15 tomorrow - good night :)
LOL

nite nan
late flip - wonder how many have finished already
Hi flosey... I finished list in my profile, and of course, Dart finished first LOL
ralf
Sorry that I couldn't give you a real word ...
ty Dee, much appreciated
I tried that at least twice.
yw, flosey
sometimes, well often, the board accepts what appear to be non-words, so it's worth a try.
that is for sure
oy. can't get the 12 year olds to quiet down. this will be a long night :(
slumber party?
yes.
girls or boys?
girls *giggle giggle screech*
it will be a long night LOL... and ours NEVER slept
i don't care if they sleep, i just want them quiet enough for me to sleep
I'm glad there's no Q words - the key just popped off, and I can't figure what to do with the two little plastic thingies under the key - and there's no notch in the key to hook onto the sticking-up thing.
LOL good luck on that... wonder if bribery would work
ask dart when he comes back Chris
I don't know if that was too technical an explanation - I guess I'm off to the computer repairman on Monday.
who needs Qs anyway
good luck good enough. i have 7 year old granddaughter and her friend over for sleep over.
cant find the k word.
lol, christine, you sound just like me....
mkg, ku5, ku + hook letter + short thank-you
Is Dart a compugeek? My friend's grandson is, but he's just moved away.
thanks granny
usually someone here answers all of my questions like that
Holy smoke! Forgot all about the flip!
Oh, do you remember typewriters - where you wou;d pop the key, every so often, to clean out the dust bunnies.
hi jilli, I just came in
Lol, flosey -- so I'm not alone!
I'm sure, if I try just one time more, I can make it accept outlaw.
Hello everyone
Hello Flosey and Jillibus
hi Christine
hi jili
We used to remove all the keys on a typewriter and put them back on (like you said), but I think they intentionally make computer keyboard keys flimsy, so you can't get the stupid things back on.
I bought a mini-vac, designed to get-out the dust, hair, etc. but it's not much good, so I still use the business cards from before my retirement, to clean between the keys.
i just do the upsidedown shake
just saw the clue granny gave for the K word -- tyvm -- but it's an ominous sign of the toughness of this little thing
hi dee hi
Perhaps I'll try that, after the guy makes sure all the keys are tightly jammed on
np's, jilli, just a few nasties, otherwise pretty friendly
and thanks for the list
I do the upsidedown shake, too. I was always told the mini-vacs can short out keyboards... no clue if that is true, but always made me nervous.
Yqw, jili.
i find the upsidedown shake works quite well, plus a gentle tap on the back....you know...like burping the baby
I asked the fellow in the store what was best, a vacuum cleaner or a blower-thingie (technotalk), and he didn't know. Either seems to have potential for destroying the innards.
I'm gonna burp my little laptop
only i don't tu4 the baby upsidedown
I follow granny's advide :)
granny did I miss you finishing?
didn't announce it dee, but, yes, i have finished
burping the comp or not turning the baby upside down?
ROFL
hello. ladies!
hi rbud
rbud, hello, hun
Hello
wtg granny congrats
hi rb
yum, dinner smells soooo good
having steak slow cooked in red wine and a packet of french onion soup.
that sounds good granny
sounds delicious
btw, have now lost 8 kilos, and himself is definitely looking smaller.
Fantastic
In a slowcooker or the oven or stovetop - Enquiring minds want to know.
congrats, g'rose! (and himself)
for mother mac, steamed veggies, for us a salad.
hubby packed up almost all of the kitchen except for cereal...not sure what he expects to do for the next week
mmmm, granny!felt
Did you leave the folder of takeout menus for him?
well you can say cheerio old chap ...dee
in a slow cooker, christine. i do so love my slowcooker...in fact i kiss it every night, 'cos i know it loves me, too
great idea
tonight's gloomy note: just in from the shop outside, where Hubby is deep in depression because a cop stopped him (on his riding mower!) on the way home from the bar and told him he can't ride it around town any more. What now, I wonder... it was about the only thing he could get around on.
unless he's flaky
I see what you mean about nasties, granny --- ugh!
haha, ru, lurking a bit?
My daughter always said, as soon as she was old enough to run alone, I would grab the slowcooker and my electric frypan - she'd take the cats and the dogs.
tell him the grass is always greener.. rbud
um, rbud? a ride-on lawnmower is not necessarily a road vehicle.
Is there a law that says he can't, rb? We have several folks on scooters around here.
oops -- I see I have to go the pb -- is some of that steak in there, granny?
oh, yeah, jilli, steamed rice or potato?
I agree, but he 's only on the road long enough to cross an intersection, it's only a block and a half away, goes mostly on our property.
potato, I think, to sop up that sauce!
I plan to look up ordinances tomorrow. I know they have one against off-road vehicles and such, but how else will all these lawn-mowing poor folks get to their lawn jobs? they can't drive them there.
well if he gets locked up .. it's not going easy on him rbud
I would definitely check the ordinances... that sounds false
lol, jilli, potato it is.....
oh, it's this town and us, any time we look like we're having any fun, they quick pass an ordinance against it, whatever it is.
a little leeway is called for, i think, rbud. is yours a large town/city?
where are you, rb?
fun not allowed here! :P
prisoner to Rbud's husband: :what are ya in fer buddy? rbud's husband " weedeating"
Illinois, and the town has a grand total of 335 inhabitants.
according to rbud's profile, a small town
250 of whom are related to each other, and who try to dictate to us all.
small town mentality...unfortunately our new house may be in a similar mindset... hoping it doesn't drive us crazy
LOL, ru! :)
Picked up 28 books at the library, so I think I'll get into a few tonight. See y'all tomorrow.
sure it isn't tennessee rbud?
pretty close, dart!
dee.. we do need to thank you for something
250 is 75% lol
reminds me, on our cruise, we called into akaroa, inhabitants about 600. between us and the other cruise ship, we multiplied the population by 5 for a day
bye chris
not sure, ru...
for sending us peyton manning to play football out here
watch out, dee!!!!!
I told him to slap an annoyingly huge light onto the fron of my three-wheeled bicycle (and a taillight) and to carry on - they can't stop him on that! :P
LOL yqw I don't think they should have tossed him.
um, and that is?????
sounds like a plan rb... I would definitely check out those laws
well.. we appreciate it a lot.. he'll be great here
yay, rbud, wish i couls be there to see the constabuary's face
rbud's husband will be famous as the first DWM
I think he will be, too.
Certainly lots of talent there.
driving while mowing LOL funny one
well, they stopped our son once heading into town on his bicycle, about 7 miles from here, and told him it would have been okay to ride his bicycle on the highway as long as it had lights after dark, so I figure it's the same in town.
okay, time i was outta here. spelling down to zip....love, hugs, kisses, and good luck with the grid. see you much later tomorrow...working til 8pm our time( that's about 4am your time)
A 73-year-old Dodge County man was arrested last week after riding his lawn mower down the road while drinking a beer. Neighbors called police around 2 p.m. on August 23 after they say the man’s behavior was erratic and disturbing, according to a Sheboygan newspaper. The man was taken into custody and cited for fifth offense OWI. The incident happen in the Town of Fox Lake, located north of Beaver Dam.
Sounds reasonable
nighters granny
I think that's the main thing with Hubby, they know he's drunk, and has no license, so they're doing this as a way of stopping it. He's lu4y they didn't arrest him, the buzz he has on tonite, whew.
nite, g'rose! :)
but really, there are several guys in town who ride to mowing jobs, they better let him do that still, cause one of his jobs is my library!
have a great day at work granny
well gee dart.. any doofus driving a mower around at 2 p.m. deserves to be arrested
OWI???
ruru..it was wisconsin..what do you expect?
ROFL
...with a beer, no less... silly old man! gotta be more discrete than that! (the 73 year-old, I mean)
and *poof*
think owi is operating while intox.
Operating While Intoxicated?
what is OWI?
LOL oh give me a break... what harm can a 73 year old do on a mower with one beer
aww that's it
it would be OUI here, "under the influence"
long as he doesn't run over a kid or something on the way home...with everyone so "sue happy" these days
they call it DUI here, so it covers drugs, too
true... terribly litigious everywhere; it's crazy
well.. especially with so many kids on weed these days dart
or run into the street and cause an accident
next thing... pedestrians can only walk at certain times .... tooooooo many laws
heck, there's a guy who goes around with a riding mower AND a trailer with a pushmower in it, and rakes and such, does lots of yards - I want him stopped, too, if Hubby can't. Only fair.
no...we'll have to have the walk/don't walk signals in 5 diff languages
excluding English
god.. I was just in NYC and instead of the red hand stopping me in the cross walk I got the red middle finger
around here the lawn companies have to use a truck with a trailer that has all the riding mower/push mowers + equipment in the trailer
LOL bout right ru
they knew you were coming ruru
forgeddaboutit
Dart, I'm told you're the one who can help me -- the Q key popped off my keyboard, and I can't figure what to do with the two little plastic gasket-goodies that belong under the key? Any advice/hints?
but the town only has 335 people, about 54 houses, it's about 4 or 5 blocks square. Not far to anywhere.
not sure Christine...never took apart the keyboard part of my laptops
try googling it....you might find an answer
*sets up lower pedestal for dart*
Okay, luv, I'll try that, or it's off to the computer store on Monday. And now ... goodnight all ... poof!!
is it a desktop or laptop?
hope there's no Q in the google question, lol
Oh, laptop
hang on
lol rbud
Instructions Replacing Letter Keys 1 Carefully pry the key from the keyboard next to the key that has fallen off. This key can easily be pried by sliding a flat-head screwdriver underneath it and popping the key out. Be careful to make sure the key retainer underneath the key stays in place, especially if the key retainer has also fallen off the key you are attempting to fix. 2 Look closely at the key retainer underneath the key that was just removed. Notice there is a notch in each corner of the key designed to hold the key in place. Sponsored Links Top 10 Laptops The List Is In! Experts Review The Top 10 Laptops Of 2012. TechExpert.com/laptops3 Place the key retainer back into place if it has fallen off the key you are trying to fix. Make sure it is positioned exactly as the key retainer next to it is. 4 Put the key on top of the key retainer. Use your index finger to firmly push straight down on the key to lock the key back into place. Do the same to the key that was taken off to view the other key retainer. google to Christine.. what's a uestion?
<---- likes that ...less hitting my head on everything :)
lol, dart and ru!
but... you have to break another letter to fix one? oh, dear...
or the tab key
Thank you, Dee. I thought of popping off another key, to see how it meshed into the keyboard. I'm going to try the Z, since I don't use that too often.
hat's the uestion?
good luck
maybe that's it, the key "retainer" fell into the keyboard? better be careful burping it, might lose it!
think you have to do a key NEXT to the one that is off
halfway, thanks to morewords -- I don't think this is at all friendly! So far lots of weird c words among oters
I agree jili
Well, I need to get toing... want to get one more folder done before I sleep...
lol going
toing? lolol
ballerina at heart
*poofing with hugs*
is that the opp. of froing?

What a tiny grid for a Sunday!
hi, ruby, wandered off again. sure is little, you're right. too bad when most folks have plenty of time.
has anyone got a list please
Jillibus mentioned a list just below. Try Volleymomdee's profile.
yep, Dee has one.
morning all
Hello, rbud and Kazzer.
hi, Kazz! & Haz, & Aaron
hows the doggie Ruby
Hi, Happy Mothers day to all the ladies out there. To those who, like me, have lost their mums, it's a time to remember all the good things they did for us!
i agree mummy - thats a lovely thought. I am grateful i still have mine - though this year has had a few moments
.. I am sure mine would be horrified at all the time I spend on this infuriating puzzle, better things to do like wash the kitchen floor, clean out the cupboards etc, etc
When I am doing something she perhaps wouldn't approve of I can hear her voice in the back of my head saying something like 'are you sure about that!!' ( and I'm only 56 now!)
good morning, is there a list somewhere, please?
Volleymomdee has a list.
gotta go, get ready for the next generation to arrive, happy babbling everyone
Heading to the kitchen to start making lunch preparations. Enjoy the grid and mother's day for the Brits. Bye!
thanks
yay, done! last word: wa 6, an edible with a shell, often crushed and put into baked goods
bye, and happy Mother's Day to those who are celebrating today - poof!
Could I get a clue for ta7, please?
mummy - i agree completely and like i said mine is still here. Just went off to stick a bread mix in the machine - nice hot bread for lunch
marc - a little tasty treat

marc .. another name for a dog + famous art gallery
thanks Norma, but could you try again
Shirley Temple had c**LY hair + T + past tense of eat
I have that one but it is a cu6, I need the cu7, please
thanks for the clue Norma
First four letters + **ter when you change something
Or a cut of meat
yes both those art the cu6's, not the cu7
The Shirley Temple one is the CU7
thanks sorry just got it
Norma - after your brill clue - i just realised that I didn't have the cu 4 which described shirleys hair
Lol
pr5, please?
pr + vowel + short form of thank you
got it , thanks
prunt
sorry that is not correct
last one, la6, please?
la + double consonant + opposite of down
Morning! cu7,346 anyone?

wtg ron
must go and help the wife get our washing in,so domesticated am i not.
indeed, especially if you iron it as well!! ;)
wtg, ron. hagd.
I can but i do`nt as i am just a collar and cuffs ironer.too many years in the Navy ironing uniforms to ,ake me like it.
missed the M finger trouble again or is it this dislectic keyboard.
lol, sounds familiar, my hubby was at sea for some years too and his ironing is exactly the same ;)
can cook and make bread and wash up so i`m half way there.
i guess that makes up for the lack of ironing lol
O`h and i can use the hoover as well lol.
even more brownie points hehehe
not very good with welsh cakes though.
lol, oh I'm a dab hand with those lol
i can make them but only a crinkley griddle now,i can do crumpets though.
mmmm crumpets! you can do welshcakes if you have a decent cast iron frying pan
better on a griddle though
but i cannot multi-task as i am a 1 pot cooker curries /stew etc.
lolol......anything you like as long as it's all in together eh?
on the cabbge soup diet at present trying to lose the 7 lbs i put on over xmas,as i am housebound due to foot op and not allowed out for golf.
sorry to hear that ron, I know how it feels, I have been pretty much housebound for the last 3 years, apart from a couple of long hospital stays.....hoping to get new wheelchair soon and then have to start looking for a suitable vehicle
am also trying to watch my food, the weight creeps up when you are stuck in a situation like this I think....boredom, frustration...
seriously? the cu4 AND the tw4...on a sunday ?
I know Trif.
ty molly.....
And the "guy" jokes have already started.
from a guy who calls himself "dr god...."sigh
I also see felt up in there.
is the k word fishy ?
No
Good catch Hokie. It's an adolescent boy's grid today.
fireworks at last :)
wtg, welsh!!
list in babanon, should anyone need it. off to start my day.
hello again
Hi Ruby
*Puts Belgian waffles, fresh fruit and sausage in the PB*
hi, babblers
Morning Welki
I'm surprised those words are allowed, although, when working, I once called my boss (male) the c word. He was English and was really shocked but it was definitely apt!
Well, the f word is allowed too, although I don't remember ever seeing it in a grid.
I don't use the c word. I think it's the foulest word and it's almost always used as a very nasty thing to call a woman.
but calling a man that is extremely nasty and, the one time I used it, very effective!
it's much nastier when it's used on a man
41 words and I give up....
{{molly}}
morning all!
hi sue
hi welki!
right column gray :-)
Me too. Two words.
morning, kap
Hello
to all
hi kap!
This is not a good Sunday grid.
indeed it is not.
anyway, must run, see you all later!
Good day to all.
this grid is bad enough to drive me to do housework
Hi Scrabs, Kaplan, welki
Bichon, get a hold of yourself. Do you realize what you just said?
yes, but I didn't mean it
Phew. I was worried about you.
I have to pick hubby up from the train in New Haven. Hew was at the American Crossword Tournament in Brooklyn this weekend
I need a 4th W to grey the bottom row. I have wa4 x 3
So cool! How was it?
He didn't do as well as he had in previous years. Said some of the puzzles were really difficult
He always has fun there. Knows lots of the crowd
I am sure the difficulty level was quite high. I enjoy the NYT weekend puzzle very much.
He times himself on every puzzle he does. On the Sat. puzzle he curses himself that he only did it in 15 minutes. Sheesh, takes me all morning
They have a computer program this year, Dr. Fill
15 minutes! I savor it for days, refusing to look at the answers until I am stuck.
Every so often I can finish it the same day.
Fri. and Sat. are very difficult. I like Mon and Tues. I can fly through those. You can do them on line if you have a digital subscription or get home delivery
Good morning all
Oh, I do the big weekend puzzle, not the daily ones.
Hi Bob
mornin' Bob
Scrabs, got the wa 6. Do you need a hint?
Yes, please!
You would chop it up to put in Chocolate Chip Cookies, yummy
And the K.
TY!
np
man's name + vowel
TY.
good afternoon all
hi sprite
hey bichon, and Scrabs
hello Sprite and all
Hi Sprite and vanilla
hey vanilla :)
hi 'nilla
good morning everyone
hi flosey
sorry to raise it Sprite but haven't heard anything about your prince has he recovered?
how are you today sprite
still down with the flu, flosey, coughing myself inside out. But I have faith tomorrow will be better. I slept last night :)
Hi flosey
Progress is good, Sprite.
vanilla: so far no improvement. Lasting brain damage. If he comes to, which nobody believes will happen, he will be a vegetable.
that is so sad
Oh, no, who is this?
true, Scrabs. Personally, once I can sleep again, I know things will improve speedily.
a good night of sleep sounds on the way to recovery sprite - oh sprite, I had not heard of your dreadful news, very, very sorry
one of the royal princes here, Scrabs.
Oh, the ski accident? Yes, I knew.
ah, wondered if the reference was to one close to you
I don't know him personally, so I am just sad as a dutchwomen. It is a real tragedy for his family and friends though.
of course sprite
no, not close at all, flosey. I just can't help caring about our royal house... there are 'ours'. But nothing personal.
of course you would
he married a commoner didnt he and gave up his right to the throne?
my first thought was of your hubby or son, relief there
18 to go. Time for a grapefruit, a shower, then a few hrs of yard work.
omg flosey, thank God no.
sounds like a healthy plan, Scrabs
sorry flosey I should have phrased my first question differently
no prob van, just first thought because we haven't seen sprite for a while
vanilla, not as far as I know. Willem Alexander was the firstborn.
ah, so would inherit the throne
yeah I guess, flosey. I haven't been around much, but nothing serious. Just flu and such. We are all fine here, compared with Friso.
glad to see you back Sprite
thank you :) And vice versa.
you missed onewicked grid yesterday
yes he was in line for succession if need be. No longer though. As far as I know, the only issue is how to make him comfortable. They don't expect any dramatic improvement, alas.
fireworks, last word cu7/36, so many words again today that are odd
awwww :( I love wicked grids.
wtg flosey!
still need a few c's now

my love and I just received unexpected money. What a blessing :D
you're allowed
unexpected money is always a blessing
YAY!!! money!
crossy, you mean there are any real words in here today? Except rude language, that is?
that's great Sprite. It all helps
i found a few real ones
I am so happy! We could really use a breather. Well we all can, I am sure. But sometimes it is more than needed!
rude words?
cat noise,to be short with someone, a mangy dog,an asian leafy veg,a cheese by product
yeah, rude words. Sometimes I type in babble words that I wouldn't dream of using in chog or dialogue!
hm yeah got all those. Ok, they are kind of real.
if you have any extra cash bothering you or just blocking the hallways feel free to send me some sprite:))
hego: cu4, tw4, tu4...
that is easy to do today Sprite.lol
aw sweetie, crossy! If I could, I would. And you know I mean that.
indeed, hego, lol
lol, stuff is the root of all evil anyways sprite
next time I clean the hall I'll check.
and i'm rooting!!
I have never believed that. Money isn't evil or good and it does not make you happy. All it does is expanding your choices.
and i have plenty of books and like the saying goes.."book will get you through times with no money much better than money will get you through times with no books" :)
rootin' and tootin' :)
oh I love that one, crossy. Too true!
favorite quote; money can't buy happiness, but it sure does calm the nerves.
also very nice one, hego!
it cannot buy it,but is sure as heck can rent it!
money makes choices available you don't have without it. That is all.
and god I love to have LOTS of choices ;)
anyone notice how close we are to warlock and atlatl today? Just sayin'.
hadn't noticed.
I may be the #1 spotter of words that aren't in. Of course, I only realise they aren't in after I found them, rejoiced, tried and failed.
on the net,i saw the extreme in conspicous 1% consumption a 200,000 dollar watch safe that uses your i-pad as a code input device, has a motion alarm that locks it down if moved and can hold about 60 watches for the lady or gent who needs a special one every night to match the outfit of the day
me too sprite
lol hego :)
now that's over the top!!
crossy, things like that make me happy I have basic needs.
books, food, sex, babble, friends, fun... not necessarily in that order or combination.
i am also a simple needs fella, good books, good music, nice walks in the mountains and my lady to share it all with
hear! hear!'
oh yes..that sex thing...
yep. My love to share, and my kids too.
food, you both forgot food!
sex first..food second
I did not, read again
oops. sorry
*giggles* I never forget food ;)
both at the same time even:)
for me it's no1
But then I'm Italian.
I like to combine sex and food. Very relaxed. All night.
messy, no
I luv italian cooking
yeah well, sex is messy. And cleaning up slowly is such fun ;)
a nice cheese fondue,a chocolate fondue, cherries, breads, fruit and other dippable,a nice massage, soft music and lots of handi-wipes;)
a nice cheese fondue,a chocolate fondue, cherries, breads, fruit and other dippable,a nice massage, soft music and lots of handi-wipes;)
we just love simple, fresh food, simply prepared.
oops,got the hiccups
wow this is getting kinky!!
crossy, looks like there is enough to share :)
simple is the ticket, hego
true food porn. lol
hego, you have never been to one of my cheese fondue/toga parties...
I agree Sprite.
though the local police have asked me nicely to never do that again:)
cheese fondue doesn't work for me. Too mighty... too rich.
Crossy, I have a favour to ask
No unfortunately I missed those.
yes flosey?
that was only because you didn't invite them, crossy
will be back later. hagd All.
bye hego, have a lovely day
last night you described a wonderful way to do a russet potato - I carefully cut/pasted it into my list (Dee's list) but when I finished the grid, I deleted the page - darn.
would you be so kind as to repeat, pleasse?
ahh the hassleback taters...1 sec....
yes, that's it
*ready to copy and steal*
you'll love it sprite, a real yummer
I have collected a great amount of babble recipes through the years :)
you should do a cookbook.
groovykiwi tried to set up a website once. But almost nobody wanted to help. And all she asked was to send her the recipes, she would do all the rest. Too bad :(
yes
I remember that sprite, too bad, it would have been fun
ru6 anyone?
but I am happy I always copied the stuff... I can find something good whenever I need to. Only getting the measurements right is a helluvajob sometimes, grin.
take 1 large russtet tater for each person, scrub clean but leave skin on,lay two wooden spoon on either side of the washed tater to serve as a cutting guide and using a sharp knife cut the tater in thin slices 90% of the way through and brush lightly with peanut oil or virgin olive oil.preheat oven to 400f and place taters on baking sheet and bake for aprox 1 hour or till golden brown.now add 1/4 cup of you favorite sharp cheddar grated coarse and a smidge of garlic powder and using top broiler element bake for 10 more min or untill cheese is crisy.allow to cool for 5 min and garnish with fresh sour cream and chives or bacon bits and serve
small stream hego.
it's a compound hego - first three of ru4/5 and a word like allow
not yet... will help looking
yes, i have european cookbooks, know what you mean
ty Flo
just read the chog with all that food, must go and have brownies with wa6 to celebrate my fireworks.
russet*
wtg Mixi!
i altered the original recipie a tad as it was too greasy with all that butter
any clues for the tu4/6? have tried every combo of letters possible, it seems.
thanks Crossy, now have it safely in a file
urate
thank you mixi and flosey

thank you crossy, got the recipe, will make that soon. Looks delish!
the tater will accordian open while baking and they are a thing of beauty when done:)
ty hokie
ah, of course. thx, all.
needed that one
I bet they would be, crossy
this really is an adolescent boys' board
fireworks! adios, y'all!
of course only use fresh ground sea salt and cracked pepper for these amazing tates
yaa for hokie
wtg!
well put, hokie
really must go. bbl
bye hego, have a great day
bye hego!
tc hego
i did fish fillets last night, nice halibut and i pan fried them with a bit of butter,a dash of lemon juice, garlic, pepper and at the last minute i added a bit of juice from a fresh cut orange.served it with my homer made fries and steamed veggies
home made*
sounds yummy too, crossy
as it turns out,had too many chips and everyone was clamouring for more fish
hmz... with 11 le4 and 6 of them 6s I think this grid is sneaky.
so,going to try some sea bass tonight with penne a la vodka and steamed cauli and cheese sauce
we are having a little lazy party tonight, to celebrate. We are doing takeaway chinese from the local chinese. Which is a very very good one.
for penna a la vodka, just pre cook some penne noodle ahead of time aldente and brush with olive oil and set aside in fridge.for sauce heat a pat of butter in a skillet with some diced green onions,a diced clove of garlic and 6 strips worth of crispy crumbled bacon bits, cook on high temp for 3 minutes and add a shot of high end vodka and flambe for 20 seconds.put out flames with 250 ml of 35% cream and turn down heat and simmer for 5 min..add noodles and simmer for 5 more and searve
mmm love chinese food
Good Sunday morning people.
serve
me too! We all do.
howdy neil
we rarely eat it, too expensive. Although my love can cook a mean chinese pot too if he feels like it :)
Howdy crossy. :)
but... tonight no worries, just celebration and enjoying the good things in life.
good stuff:)
yeah :)
if you wish copy that penne recipie,it is quite tasty, fast to make, just carefull you do not use too much butter
am gonna copy it now. I don't often eat anything with booze in it, but I trust your taste :)
the booze flames off sprite
you are left with just the essance of the fine grains
it is just a 1 oz flambe and it is all burned off9the alcohol)
you can do it without the flambe if you wish as well,it is more showy that anything
as I said, I have lots of confidence in you.
you will awe your guests with it:)
hehehe that in itself would be great already :)
but good top shelf booze, ketle 1 or other high end vodka only
yes, I have copied that in. my love is a very good cook, he always says the same thing about flambe stuff.
testing - not sure why I had a kite as my pic. I think many years ago everyone was doing a theme of spring or something.
kite is still showing up. trying to change to a bunny.
Kites are good. :)
it is a colourful kite, I like it.
a kite is fine hokie, our summer has come a month and a half early
awwwww but I like your bunny even better. It is so cute!
ah, there's the bunny.
hehehe if you can see the bunny, you can see my new icon too.
yeah, I read it when I clicked your profile to see what flag that is.
funny
:) Dutch girl born and raised.
aw those little ears. He is too cute, hokie. Luv the bunny.
Scrabs will adore it too
I am so bad at flags. But in my defense, a lot of them are 3 color stripes. ;-)
oh me too! I always have to mouse-over as well :)
now off to catch up on my sudoku!
have fun!
early summers are nice, crossy. Especially if they last long as well.
Hello. I seem to have gotten addicted to this again over the past couple of weeks so I thought I'd say hello to everyone.
fireflies! Bye all, and *hugs* for crossy. Enjoy the bass tonight.
hi viajes, sorry to leave just as you join the chog. Have fun and glad to have you back!

gaa! I didn't mean to do that.
This is why I shouldn't chat.
Got it, thanks!
No small rodent though.
I don't see why not -- it's as much a word as some of the ones they put on here...
Speedfreak...are you playing right now? Alex says hi
If something can be unlawful, one should be able to unlaw.
Then there are movies that are PG or X- but some are unra4ed.
I don't know... it seems that "delaw" would be a better word

Delouse, delaw, derat- sure.
Repeat offender?

Someone PLEASE tell me how something can be un6? Seriously?

I don't have that one...
All those feelings were not registered, Molly.

Oh good casting.
Good point Jes.
also that one british musician from the whos or something will be on the show tonight as the caterpillar from wonderland
paul dalton yep. thats it.
I love Barbara Hershey. I think she is so under-rated / utilized as an actress.
then tomorrow on smash -- bernadette peters sings "everythings coming up roses"
Roger Dalton
is she on there?
sorry roger dalton :)
Daltry...
she will be making an appearance hego
Oh perfect. They are casting Peters as the Gypsy Rose Lee mother type.
cos, is BP anew character on Smash?
yes. she will be playing a screen legend on smash... which is why ivy is so pressured.
Thank God for Sherb, Cos and I were tripping all over that.
Interesting.
BP is a recurring role, hego
ivy's mother. hego
:)
Dammit, am I going to have to start feeling sorry for Ivy now?
i saw a preview and when BP was singing for everyone Ivy looked so pissed off.
hope not

phantom: cupid and drunk
oh i read they may make a real musical about marilyn based on Smash.
Hmm, drunk cupid would explain a lot of unlikely couples.
drunk surely wasn't a phantom for me last night.
Good, anything but that pathetic Michelle Williams thing that's out now.
about the cu7, can' seem to get the ending. hmmm....
lol...have no interest in seeing that
Its a cut of meat Hego
oops got it. ty

Oops, I clued the cu6

Not sure how you add a vowel to get to the cu7

Speaking of bad movies, whoever re-made 21 Jump Street should be shot.
yw :)
ah u saw it molly? i read it's a hit
Just the trailer, that was enough for me. Why must we remake all these teen movies (Footloose) to cast the up and coming crop of talentless youth?
they're also remaking Leprechaun.
help with the c in far right column
Footloose crashed and burned pretty fast, no?
and trying to remake the Goonies.

Sounds like an 18 wheeler Pickles

The most insulting remake plans I've heard are for Dirty Dancing. I almost want to be in a picket line protesting that.

may I please have stats for the k and the a below it?
al4/7
ku5/20
It's very pleasant, but this weather is freakishly warm.
I love people who actually just give stats and not clues when stats are asked for.
fureakish!!!!
I totally don't get it. We are having a pleasant, early Spring and people are fretting about it.
I'm not fretting. It is freakish though.
I appreciate that also Molly
not freaking out about it-- just weird... gives more credence to global warming IMO
not fretting, just noting the strangeness.
I also like clues that aren't too obvious. :-)
unless it's 9:45..LOL
I'm sorry Cos, but I disagree. After the winter we had two years ago with three over twenty inch snow storms, this is balance.
Does the cu7 build on the Mr. Gore cu6?
nbt. thanks all
let's hear it for balance!!
No Tor
oh.. just got the 7! nbs! yay
or rather A 7
.. and Heyas kids ..
yay! M9
There is climate change going on, and this weather pattern may or may not be related. But all I said is that it is freakishly warm because usually in Massachusetts, the crocuses are peeking through the snow just about now
Hi Torg
and today people are walking around in tank tops and it's MARCH
unflate is not a word/?
Okay, you win. I'll pray for twenty inches of snow for Massachusetts.
un6 is not a word either, but it goes.
I'm not trying to win anything. I didn't say it was unpleasant. But it's not normal.
I just went out for the first time since Thursday night (I have been sick) and was ready for some spring impulse buying, but there were no spring things on the racks...
Isn't this a little heated for a conversation about the weather?
what was wrong, Kap?
Ah, and we don't like "not normal" do we? Okay, I'll shut up now.
I DIDN'T SAY THAT! I LIKE FREAKS!!
there's a lot of passion in Babble, Picles.
theer, there, kap.
The "sick" is some kind of respiratory infection that has somehow made me feel like I am dissociated from my body. It is weird.
"We don't like What we don't understand In fact it scares us And this monster is mysterious at least"
sounds heavy.
:-)
are you better now?
*Sings happy little I love everything song*
i knew bringing up climate change was a mistake sorry!
sounded harmless to me, Cos.
I have been feeling stoned since early last week.
It's okay Cos. People don't need to get all oogey about a little disagreement.
what could be bad? lol
"oogey"?? LOL
its just a touchy issue these days ...
it must be in enable M9
but i will admit im loving the weather :) its just weird is all.
It's an Annie Wilkes word, especially for Cos. : )
What disagreement? All I said was this: It's very pleasant, but this weather is freakishly warm.
maybe not even weird lol
good reference molly!
Oh No!! not again!
Great words from that movie. Cockadoodie comes to mind.
question: i want to start planting .. i usually plant in april.. but would it be ok now?
I thought roosters made that up.
ok how about the t word in the bottom row?
As long as you are sure you're past your last hard freeze.
te4 pickles
I'm not doing anything! When it's this warm before Memorial Day, I don't know if it's bad etiquette to wear white.
cos, i would wait a bit, you never know.
ill ask the garden store if we are.
It's so confusing.
And I would start with hardy plants, whatever you see out in the nurseries.
lol kap
good idea molly thanks
ok.. here's a happy song from one of my youtube faves: http://tinyurl.com/6m7f352
Pansies are okay now, and cool weather vegetables like broccoli and cabbage.
kap, so many decions.
cabbage. perfect!
I have pansies in.
Things like cucumbers and impatiens you won't see out until mid April.
would it be odd if i planted pansies considering im one? :)
They are more the warm weather type of plants.
ha ha cos
no, no. a perfect match.
Has anyone else had this symptom of feeling dissociated and weird when they are sick?
i need 2 more w's
Oh go for it Cos. Plant some Queen Anne's Lace too. : P
lol molly...
A statement, even. : )
It is really bizarre. Maybe it's inner ear?
Kap, i think that happen when you are dehydrated
kap: my friend had similar conditions... it wasi nner ear infection
Kap, have you been running a fever?
could be Kap.
No. But the weather has.
ru6 please??
How is your balance?
my rhubarb is peeking up... I have lots of daffodils and little purple violets
Oh, I love violets.
but after the violets and daffodils came up we got a weird snow.
It's more of a feeling of not in my body, not dizziness per se. Have crocus and daffodills.

It's either a cold or a brain tumor.
One reason for the dissociative feeling could be that you're dehydrated. Chest colds zap your body of a lot of fluid.

Molly, this is the 7th house I've bought and all the others were cleaned. This one was idsgusting.
When I iviewed it, it looked clean and tidy but I now realise they only cleaned what you could see.
I am slowly deep cleaning each room.
That's too bad Glant. It's usually in a contract that the place must be clean upon selling.
No cleaning mentioned in UK contracts, but they actually lied about various other things on the contracts so they would probably have liued about thta too...

I love your icon Jee, such a happy little girl.
Good clue .;)
Thanks Molly. It's my best photo. :)
Fungus among us.
I don't know why I'm here- finished the grid a while ago.
I keep discovering new things wrong with me that I have to go to doctors for. Is that what getting older means? I'm not even 60!
WTH!
I see I have stimulated the conversation. Oh, well.
It's okay to be here if your finished.
Thank you.
I want tomorrow's grid early.
"unflate" is not a word, I'm just sayin..
I have returned!
Ten left; I'm very curious how many are real words :P
glad someone is here , it was getting lonely
I do what I can...
I'm not a big fan of these small puzzles
The small ones trick me into thinking I can finish, but then there are only made up words left...
Part of the problem with small grids is that everyone finishes and leaves, so chat gets dull.
okay, I have been trying to monkey the cr6 to no avail... can anyone help? (and of course, it will be an obvious word and I'll feel dumb...)
nm, got it!
add a consonant to the end of cr5
clue for the single C word from right hand col ?
I only have 33 words I don't think I can help anyone. wish I could move the letters
Sounds like an 18 wheeler Monkey
Chat gets dull?????? Enter Soodle!!
thanks Molly and what a stupid word
Oh hey Soodle. Just waking up? I was nice to see you yesterday when you wandered into the chat log and said "Mzrt pff bleh duf" and then went to bed.
hi everyone!
Yes, Molly, I am alive and well. Its just a pity I can't say the same for my liver...... A splendid time was had by all yesterday :-) Hey Jen :-)
hi soodle and lilmonkey!
Hi Jen! Hi Soodles!
Hi Monkey.. Long time no see :-)
I mainly lurk now
Hooray for splendid times!
Lurking has its advantages.... at least you won't wander drunkenly into the chatlog muttering 'Mzrt pff bleh duf'. .
Yes, but lurkers are not nearly as entertaining : P
There was also something about dancing on the bar with shamrocks in your teeth, but I didn't quite get the rest.
you do that while chatting on babble? that's very impressive!
OH GOD....................I made it to YouTube????????
Aye, it's a weird video. Little black boxes over the "looks naked" parts.
i'm a jew wearing a green dress today - that's sort of st. patricky
........ at least you are wearing a dress, Mab!!!!! And, this time of year, you don't have to be Irish to be Irish!!
T's Toppled! 2 left
Hello again to all babblers! I came back to get last 3 words
Hello Minver ((())))
Howdy
Okay, are all of the P words pu, or is there a pr in there?
I am monkeying madly
Hi Via :-). I don't think I ever met you before. Disregard all you read about me and the naked dancing.. Molly is casting a disreputable shadow on me ;-P
I saw the video too...
I have been lurking the past couple of weeks and today finally faced that it's become an addiction so I came on to chat this morning
I am finished! I have fireworks! cr 6/24 was my final word.
Yay Min!!
Hooray!
welcome via--you will find that many of us "lurk" at some point or another! In addition, many of us could be considered a bit crazy LOL
Woo-Hoo Min... Well done!!!!
I have story of clues in profile. Will also be here for the rest of the night intermittently to help out with clues if needed
Oh Via, beggin' your pardon. I must have gotten Sister Ignatius Soodle mixed up with some other, disreputable Soodle. Mea culpa.
the crazy is what makes it fun, mcurl
And Via, anyone with a chocolate covered strawberry as their icon is more than welcome here.
There is actually a perfectly good explanation for my dancing on the bar, buck naked, with shamrock between my teeth, and the minute I can remember it, I will share with you.
I assumed it was inspiration for Babble words, Soodle. Since you were playing at the same time, I hear.
I get my best ideas while dancing naked on bars.
I heard there was this big, strappin' behemoth of a man in a kilt...oh, that must have been the other Soodle.
I think the words used to describe Soodle dancing naked on the bar with shamrock, etc, have yet to be invented..........
Oh yes, Via fits in right fine here. Yep, yep.
And Mab, I don't recall ever meeting you here, (but that may be due to the demise of many many brain cells over the past few days..) In any event, its lovely to meet both of you. :-)
Jaysus, where are me manners? Happy Mother's Day Soodle.
I have to take a break before I smash my screen. 4 left but they do not exist, I am sure.
If I could find my last three words, you can find your last 4.
I feel like I have monkeyed every possible combination...
unless it's a word like pdcrtu
Aw, thank you Molly. And, of course, its not even Mothers Day over there, is it? I was very well treated by the Soodle offspring today... breakfast in bed, flowers, cards, dinner out, perfume, candles and smelly bath stuff. I am indeed a lucky woman.
or one of those other words Soodle said while dancing
What are you missing Via, maybe we can help...if you want.
Relying on your very exhausted monkeys isn't the best way to find the last few words. Why not just ask for clues viajes?
two 5s and two sixes
I don't know how to find the breakdowns
Via.... erase the whole Soodle dancing on the bar thing...PLEASE.
:D
No our Mother's Day is the second Sunday in May. Glad to hear your offspring treated you like the Queen Mother you are.
okay, I have one P left and it has to be a 5 or 6
The Babble tiles stats below the grid should help you figure it out. You can figure out first letter and number of letters
and I have one L left that also needs to be a 5 or 6
any clues?
Try p + Baby ***h is a candy bar + first vowel
Yay! Thanks Molly.
A pr5/14 is anagram of makeshift tent shelter plus a vowel
L + Soodle got ***ested for dancing naked + not down
Was trying to think of clue for that.MollyL has a better one
Thanks! I swear I put that in before... maybe I typoed it and didn't realize
la 6/24 word is la plus double consonants plus not opposite of down viajes.
Now I've just got a T (from the middle) and an N. And one is 5 letters and one is 6
Is that it Via, did you finish?
nu 6/21 is nu plus ta 4/4 word and nu 6/21 is small pecan.
I already found nu6-21 and tr-5-22
Molly! could you please clarify that I did NOT in fact get apprehended by the long arm of the law, and your clue at 6.48 was purely anecdotal?
tr 5/18 word rhymes with what babies do before they walk
(((It was all a horrible misunderstanding anyway)
Try a cashew is a *** + past tense of eat
fireworks!!!!
Yay Via!!
OK soodle so you did NOT get arrested but you DID indeed dance naked? I'm so confused :)
Thanks much! And some of those were even real words...
Congratulations viajes on your fireworks! Hip Hip Hooray!!
Okay, it was all Sister Ignatius Soodle's evil twin that happened to. There, satisfied.
But I have to stick around for the Soodle clarification at least...
Sister Ignatius Soodle spent yesterday on her knees in prayer to the good St. Patrick. And then said a novena.
It appears that Soodle is not going to claify.
Me knees are worn out, with all the praying I did yesterday....
was that before or after the bar dancing?
And, my publicist has advised that I make no further comment.
anyway, I'm going to go get food -- see people tomorrow or another day
have fun!
Bye bye Via. Lovely to meet you.
<---Not saying one blessed thing about why her knees are worn out. Nope, not me. *Tapes fingers up*
Evening/morning/noon night Babblers!
Soodle, my friend just told me that she thinks Edith is the Jan Brady of Downton. Hilarious! Hi Red.
Goodbye viajes! I will see you tomorrow in the chog maybe

ty
Speaking of icons,I heard read in Sprite's profile that she is no longer doing icon themes. I would love to take over for her if anybody is still interested in participating in themes.
actually I was wrong, kje, there is a cu6 that sounds like it is one letter off but is spelled differently at the end
i think if you took over people would respond
i think you would be welcome to do that, min. jillibus and others enjoy them so much.
I understand she was feeling people were not paying enough attention but it is the kind of thing that waxes and wanes and you need to be patient
Part of the problem is that some lost interest in the themes
i did it until i was using my house building but it is done now so i would probably start up again
that's true, but the ones who like it, really like it a lot
and a lot of people do it sometimes
what do the 7's start with?
cu and ta, kje
I don't believe that it is WHO is in charge of themes that interests people.I just think people do not want to take the time to change their icons every day.I also have not participated in themes, but I DO change my icon daily.
ty
no i agree that WHO is not the issue
c and t
ta and cu
I started out doing the themes but then switched to doing the astronomy picture of the day - but it was the daily themes that got me interested in doing that
oh, redundant. sorry
np mab
Yes, I too started doing themes every day. I thought it was great idea. But then I started doing celebrity birthdays too
nbs
i think that is enough for me tonight
see you all later
night jmc!

Hello all!
Oh yeah? Checking. :)
Does anyone have a list?
babanon
Think you need to update your bio, Mary.
Your eldest is more than engaged now. ;)
ok, past my bedtime - hagn all
Huh. That link took me to the wedding photos?
yes.. I would say so!LOL
Congratulations kje on the fireworks! Hip Hip Hooray for U
Oh FIRST link... duh.
it did??? oh let me check
Hello rolotom! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log
You could say in the profile what the link is to?
Might help just a little. ;)
Hello neil! How are you doing tonight? Welcome to the grid
Aww Mary! What a super cutie he is. :)
Hi Min.
I'm well thanks... and you?
rolotom, I have VolleymomDee's list in my profile if U need
He's just adorable. :)
I'm well.Finished this a few hours ago and just hanging out
thanks! I don't plan on keeping the link there.
Yep. I did it this morning.
While we had our breakfast.
Oh I see, Mary.
how many minutes did it take you Neil??
I have some photos to show you too, Mary... but won't put the links in here.
Don't remember... don't time these things.
I have 8 left.. trying to do it without too much aid.LOL
Can't you use any IM chat anymore?
Like Yahoo even?
That has photosharing.
ohhh.. I found a cr5/14 by monkey!
Cool. :)
brb.. gotta check the kid's noocles
I am signing off now but if anybody "sees" Sprite, please let her know that I will take over doing the icon themes if it's okay with others. She can contact me at my e-mail address. Ill add it to my profile before I sign off. Thanks
I actually read that as "noodles". The "cl" resembles a "d", haha.
oh wow... I MEANT noodles!!LOL
Gage has been waiting for the computer, apparently HeWho told him he could get on when HeWho was done.. but Gage says I can find my 7 words first.. he's watching over my shoulder to make sure I don't do ANYthing else!LOL
he's losing patience because I haven't found any in the last few minutes. sigh
Well I knew that, yeah. ;)
Oh geez. And who owns the computer? lol
we have a pretty fair lineup. He's being VERY sweet letting me do this!
I need one off of each tile I'm missing.. except the c.. there I need 2
I'm sure. :)
Off which tiles?
he says it's because he's "the sweetest in the family"
And have you listed? That usually helps.
no.. i only have 7 left. I suppose I shall though, since I seem to need help now. :-)
irks me when I still have 4 letter words to find!
my last 5 words were all 4-letter words, m9
thanks! that makes me feel better :-)
... as often as not my last one is a 4 letter word ... sometimes a weird babblet ... but sometimes that one common word which you just can't see or which is so obvious that you must have entered it previously but didn't
Oh it's usually the smaller ones I have left at the end too. Oddly enough, there's a certain 5-letter word that has stumped me more than once for a little... even though it's done it to me before, haha.
For some strange reason I'll notice the big words and miss some smaller ones for a while.
6
I guess the bigger ones are harder to miss? :P
Yep, doseffing... can totally relate to this: "sometimes that one common word which you just can't see or which is so obvious that you must have entered it previously but didn't"
me too!
... it is usually going from right to left on a diagonal
5!
Go, Mary, go!
*shakes pom poms*
[and no... I'm not in a mini-skirt]
suuuure you're not.....
How many words tonight, please?
... 64
thanks!!
Haha, Mary! Oh yeah... you know me and how I just love to do drag. :P Ummm NOT.
What must the Pastor think of me? Tsk tsk.
... Do you need the totals by tiles ... or by stats number
hey, you wouldn't worry if you heard the stories of some of my church peeps!
Better stay out of my profile, PastorJ, sir. It should come with a language warning. :P
Oh really? lol
Do tell? ;)
(and don't call me "sir"!)
can't tell those things!
Ok, ok. Sorry... and you could in fact be a "Ma'am" for all I know, right?
Aww, darn. :P
... yes milord
yuppers, I'm female!
Oh, I see! Well... I sit corrected.
4... and that was a Doh!! word
I might write a book someday - after changing lots of identifying details!
Silly assumption on my part. But I'm Jewish... what do I know about pastors?
Yeah. Well you could do that... you know, or just not name names?
Are you in a sect that allows female rabbis?
And yeah, you'd want to remove ANY details that may identify anyone, for sure.
I'm not in any sect. I'm totally secular. ;)
(some do, don't they?)
ah, ok!
But Jewish by birth/ethnicity... you know.
Yes, that's right.
I'm fortunate that most of my parishioners accept a female pastor!
hi ladies and gents! Could use some chatter tonight to get me in a happier mood. How is everyone doing?
Well why wouldn't they?
Wow... didn't know balletslippers could type and chat! Amazing. :)
Some people actually belive the Bible says women are not to peach or teach
*preach*
Misogynists...
3..
Chauvenists...
;->
You know, I was quite surprised when the Episcopal Church (my faith) was deciding on the whole female priest thing and my father was against. My dad has always been really accepting of everyone. I was very surprised how certain issues make people act inconsistently.
I don't understand that at all. Why wouldn't a woman be able to teach as well as a man?
;P Hi Negative! I type, I chat, I watch TV, and I read an article.... probably not all at once, but they're all up.
what?? Women can't peach?? hmmmm
Neil is fine. ;)
peaches!
I'm United Methodist - we've been ordaining women for over 50 years - one of the reasons I like this denomination!
Mmmm peaches!
Yeah we can't lemon or kiwi either...
aww... I kind of preferred "negative". It was funny to type.
-N
That's the symbol I use for my online moniker.
that works too :)
Sure does. :)
2
Now now, speak for yourself Pastor J! I can totally kiwi...
ooh go m9! you can do it!
go m9!!
BTW - I didn't mean to denigrate any who believe that women aren't to teach/preach - I just don't happen to see it that way.
slippers, don't tell my peeps, but I do al sorts of fruits in private!
*all
Oh that sounds wrong! haha
(I also could write a book on the typos in my bulletins)
I was raised a Methodist, Pastor, but am now a UU - we have been ordaining women since before women could vote, I think..
well, yeah - that didn't come out quite right! lol!
I'm the girl sitting in the pew, circling all the typos in the bulletin. haha.
Good for UU - we're only half the population!
I don't see it that way either, PastorJ. Women are equal human beings in my world.
luku sounds like a word to me.... silly monkeys.
Classic blooper (not mine) - for Holy Thursday the organist was playing "O Sacred Head Now Wounded" which the secretary typed as "O SCARED Head Now Wounded"!
And who rules the roost in this apartment anyway? No. It's not me, haha.
The next year, she was determined to get it right, and she typed "O Sacred Head Now ROUNDED"
1
hehehe
You called?????
lol gapeach! Too funny. :)
hi peach!
haha hi peach!
Well you know J... it's better than squared. :P
anyone want to clue the k?
I still can't get that image out of my head! (which some people think is squarish)
or the a...
And how are "my peeps) this evening?
fw!! no list.. and not too much help! I'm so pleased
ku5
my nephew's name plus a vowel!
I saw a clue earlier for the K5/20 - rhymes with a major mattress brand
In my hometown church, they always proofed the program before printing and rarely had typos. But now that I've tried lots of churches, I realize how common they are! And funny!
but now I must leave you all.. bye!
thanks for the k, pastor and m9!
i serve 2 small churches and do my own bulletins. can't blame the typos on anyone else!
yay m9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oops, I have to go too. Being called to bed... I'll best tomorrow's grid instead. :)
night night everyone!
yes, bedtime for me as well, spring break is over! back to classes tomorrow!
