quu....
hey jilli! am going to try it as it is a little one
oh - so it is
hugs to dee! (((hugs)))
hope all is well with you mrp!
how is the leg jilli :) ??
am going back to hospital soon dee, just waiting on the doctors to sort it all out. Will also be away in hospital from 9th May til early June. So much going on!!
not even half way and stuck!
almost completely healed as of today, mrp!
oh dear, mrp -- hospiotal for what (email me if you prefer)
what are they planning to do mrp (at least at this point)?
I have to have DBT. My stress from PSTD is the overriding barrier I have to get through. I have several infections again, am struggling
DBT?
it's ok... am happy to talk about it here... cause some babbler has been constantly on my case. I may as well let her know what the hell is happening so she doesn't make shit up anymore
so very sorry to hear about infections... hope they get them licked quickly
omg, mrp -- all this after all that you've gone through -- but maybe that's why
wow, mrp. sorry to hear all that.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy... kind of a debriefing therapy
fireworks, however!
wtg freep
on ya freep!
Actually, glad they are doing that mrp; with all that has happened, it will be helpful.
wtg freep
wtg freep
mrp, that babbler must have been doing that privately -- I've seen nothing here
my right side is infected... from the humerus, the breast and up through the T1 nerve to the ear
jilli, that babbler has been doing it on Babble Community on FaceBook...
How did you find it? Hot to touch... fever?
I could cry for you, mrp
I have told that babbler I am not interested at all in her or her opinion and to manage her time without me in mind.
stand in line, jilli, already weeping for mrp.
oh mrp -- so sorry to hear the infection is back
I haven't noticed it there either, mrp -- guess I'm blinder than I thought.
I haven't either, jili.
i have redness on the breast and the neck/cheek area. I am on antibiotics (orally) for now, but will change over when I go into hospital
IV antibiotics are so much stronger; the sooner they start them, the faster you will get well :)
makes whatever i am going through so trivial. dearest friend, i love you, and your'e gonna be around a long time, long enough to be a pain in my neck....
just wish i could hop in the car and be there in 5 minutes.
oh mr p..I'm so sorry to hear you have more to deal with
don't worry about her girls. She tries to bait me in Babble on FB by making statements that are untrue. I won't be moved :))
hi rose! ((hugs)) hi ruuster! ((hugs)) (hugs) dee~!
who is this person?
yes, I have my port-a-cath ready to go dee!
better not to go there, ruru, just trust me, she's a nasty piece of work, with 2 faces
ugh, mrp -- you were so glad to get rid of that port-a-cath!
rose, I just imagine having you here... you have to give me a call when you have time!
oh wow..
Here's to a speedy, successful stay, mrp.
Good Luck Mr Pres - hope everything goes the way we all want it to. I am off to work but will be back later.
thank you rose and there you go ruuster
okay, mrp, tonight? what time?
I was pleased to get rid of it jilli! now it is just part of my accessories :)
Hope the recovery is a speedy one, mrp
thanks kazz! see you soon
thanks freep! (hugs)
thanks nan ((hugs))
i hope so and keep your strength up - we now you are a strong woman
bye
rose, say in 3 hours??
and ((hugs)) to you, mrp!
thank you jilli! ((((jilli))))
okay, dearest.
hah, got the su6/24 -- got the ones on my chin out today :-)
i know that I have at least until 1 June in hospital... just waiting for the ok from the docs to go into a hospital near the kids
hugs mrp, thinking of you and wish you all the best
I like my chin so much, I ordered another 2! The finally showed up this year :D
thanks flosey ((hugs))
wtg jili
Who will be watching kids for you, mrp?
hard to believe, mrp, from your photos!
I was wondering that too, dee
the kids will be with Lickety of course! They will visit me regularly
fireworks sans list (but great knowing it was available)!!
Lickety is coming along really well! He is being brave and marvellous
congrats, dee!
on ya dee!!
well done Dee
Great! Didn't know if he was able to or not; very glad for both of you.
ty!
well that's the best news mr p
WTG DEE!!!!
I was hoping he'd pull through
The infection has me bloated and hot and feeling ugly!! I did a whole weekend of referreeing and was so proud of myself!
you are one tough babe, mrp
Lickety is really doing well. Am proud of him and pleased for him. He has so much to support around here! Lucky he came through
Infections always do that; are docs aware you are tackling all of that?? Are you being naughty?
and... far, far, far from ugly
ruru, it has taken over 6 months, but he is on the right foot now
Not luck; support is what equipped him to succeed.
Glad to hear that about Lickety.
ditto what ru said
you can say that as many times as you like, jilli. not only tough, but beautiful, generous, courageous, and so full of love.
that's great news.. he had to hit a bottom to come back
too tired to make any sense of this -- good night, everyone and good luck mrp
Yes, he got a lot of support! And he needed it. I am just pleased he is happy
I second that, granny
night, nan, sleep well
gnight nan
That is God's timing; Lickety better and now able to stand by you. Glad it is working out that way.
I am so glad I don' t do the facebook thing
just noticed, ruru. is that dylan?
How was Dylan's surgery today?
and ruru -- how is Dylan doing?
oh guys! you are making me cry!!!
that's dylan's dad
We love you mrp.
niters nan
surgery?? what happened ruru?
mr p.. you are a beautiful person and a lovely woman.. trust me .. I'd know
oh, oh, oh....were any of you here the other night when i shared i was having trouble with a company re expired goods which they sent me?
not me, granny
I lov you guys more than you will ever know! you are just amazing and bring me up to where I belong
yes granny, were you successful?
thank you dee! ((hugs)) and love to you too
we love ya back mr p
ruru, you are too kind ... and thank you
what happened rose?? didn't see it
yes, flosey. they emailed me to say they were refunding me the cost of the 2 bottles which were expired.
I wasn't here, granny.
Great job, granny!
mrp -- Dylan got neutered today -- didn't he, ruru?
did someone send you expired stuff??
mrp you obviously have great support here - if there's one bad apple, well you know what happens to them, they just rot
oh poor Dylan!! balls to the wall~!
bottles of what?
dee, i buy Anatrin on-line from america. this is the only place i can get it. it's a natural med for fibromyalgia.
yes jill.. dylan got neutered today..
wtg rose
and how is he reating to the collar?
*reacting
Intersting, I've never heard about that one.
flosey, I appreciate the great people and amazing support here. It is sometimes 'eye-rolling' when certain person tries to make out that I 'owe' them their time... like hell I do!
this particular distributor told me the expiry date was a guide only, that the med was good for 2-5 years post date.
not well. but I have him on ace and he's sleeping at my feet right now
aawww, ru
<---wishes I knew who this person was/is
Interesting; if it is a regulated drug that is pish posh; if an herbal, that might be correct.
holy moly rose! probably right, but they have to advertise it if they are selling expired products
me too
it was a bun fight, trying to make them understand that i was already using said med with that date, and i wasn't sleeping as well.
(wishing I knew who this person is, that is)
that's so rude granny..good for you to take them to task
email me jilli and ruuster. mrpresident1968@yahoodotcomdo tau. yes, the dot is replaced with an actual . so that I don't get robotted
yes, agree ru and jilli - would be good to know
apparently there are no laws covering herbal/natural remedies in america.
glad they did what was right!
That is correct granny, which is why I was unable to use them... too many unknowns, and I was sensitive or allergic to their fillers
lol, then i get another email from the same company telling me how i was a valued customer...sent a tongue-in-cheek reply to that.
hey ruuster, you still PB at napanet?
for real rose?? that is incredible!! an expiry date is an indicator, yes, but still, did they advertise it as out of date product?
i sent you email to napanet address ruru. Hope that is correct
no.. I'm at google Gmail.. I'm trying to email you but it's not working
no mrp, they didn't, it just arrived. boy, was i cross. having already taken 5 1/2 bottles of med which expired the month after i received it.
I emailed you, mrp and I have the right address for ru
ok, thanks :)
mrpresident1968 @ yahoo . com . au
got it
thanks ruru

and mrp, and sending positive thoughts your way
Yes mrp... sans lilst (but was thrilled to have it as a backup)
wtg granny!
oh, I couldn't have finished without the list
See you all at the flip. I'll be praying for you mrp; chin up and pay attention to your doctors!!
glad to help any way I can! i think doing this sans list is very clever!
ruru, what are you missing, mate?
thanks dee and appreciate the thought :)
Great, granny! Big day again tomorrow, so need to get emails answered and then to bed.
too many granny
i'm upseet
ty but lots of chog help :)
that's upset
Hugs, babble friends!! *poof*
chog help is the best help!!

how dare anyone take you to task mr p.. that's just unconscionable
yes ruru, I hear ya!
please can i have a clue for the 7
need to put Dylan to bed and get him some meds.. night mr p.. i emailed you back.

thanks :)
I've replied too, mrp xx
thanks grannyrose - great clue
hmmmm, thinks mrp is going to be busy tonight, answering all her emails.
wow granny that sounds like Arnold Swarzenegger with a woodie
yay, jenny
ru, don't forget to let me know the reason for Dylan's op
yes.. I will .. today was crazy, crazy, crazy...lots of problems
hey, ruru, speaking of dylan, does he look like his dad?
I need a clue for the su6/21 -- not the stitch.
in some ways.. he looks really more like his grandfather
I loved Dylan's father.. a great, great dog
poor ruru
jilli, widow throwing herself into funeral fire committs this
tyvm granny -- I missed seeing the dbl letters
widows do that?
or su6, think of se6 ( couch) and change first vowel for a u
mrs ru wouldn't
yes, ruru, particularly in india
she'd probably roast marshmallows
it's a hindu custom
ruru-smores
ruru, you know she loves you, no matter what, stop putting yourself down, that's my job.
smores????
lol granny.. like tim-tams
only with fireroasted marshmallow
of course, that's where i heard it before.
cluefor either u please
ur4, ur + 2 vowels
thanks
us5, us + ***ue(form a line of people)
would never have got the us5 without a clue, thank you
yw jenny

ooh, sorry, was looking at more emails! LOL!! I am having steak

have to bake potatoes!
fireworks -- and bedtime!
yay jilli! on ya!
i'm having snags and salad. the diet is going well, have lost 10.5 kgs.
WTG JILLI!!!!
omg! that is brilliant rose!
good on ya! great news and proud of you!
ty mrp -- and bon appetit! Having anice Aussie wine with that?
wow, granny! And what is snags?
I found a Tim Knappstein, but will leave it for another day :)
snags are sausages
snags came from the compound word
yeah, well, am trying to give myself the best p[ossible scenario for my recovery when i have my total knee replacement. hopefully late May, early June
sausage sandwich
Thanks -- I must learn some Aussiespeak!
best thing to do is lose weight for recovery. good going girl!
and a 'sanga' is a sausage sandwich
and do you realise i am almost 9 months since my last cigarette?
After surgery is not the time for dieting -- gets lots of protein is what I've been told.
That's great, granny -- congrats on both scores.
exactly, jilli, which is why i am doing it now.
oh good girl!! smoke free!
you are powering along woman!
yay me, i say! and Don is chuffed as well.
Hey. I have quit too... finally.
goodnight, you two, and anyone else lurking...*poof
ahhhhh!!!!! neil, well done, mate.
hi neil! congrats to you too!! is a toughie to give up... takes many times I hear!
nite jilli!! have a good sleep hunny
Hi mrp! :) Long time no see?! How ARE you???
yeah, on ya neil!
night, jilli. sleep well, hun
Oops -- unpoof -- congrats to you too, Neil! Wonderful!
And thanks, grannyrose... you too!
*repoof
Hey. I've only JUST done it... so I'm sure it will be a struggle for a little while.
But gonna hang in and stick with it.,
indeed neil... just keep trying, that is all you can do
Yep. One day at a time.
and if you slip up Neil, don't dispair.. tomorrow is another day. It took Lickety many months of procratination to quit... over years actually!
Yep. That's what a friend of ours has been telling me... he said he slipped up several times for a day, but got right back on the wagon the next.
I hope he's doing better now, mrp?
neil one thing i learned this time, is just hop back on the wagon, one smoke does not signify a failure. it happens. i can be your quit partner if you like, email in my profile....but you already know that. so, buddy, whenever you need me, i will be there
Aww thanks, grannyrose.
np's buddy
good advice rose and having a stop smoking buddy is a great idea!
congrats for quitting, NN.... very proud of you
Thanks, kje.
kje, hello
hello all
Hello to you too, kje.
hi kje :))
mrp, my quit partner was my son....great role reversal, huh?
oh boy rose!! lol! that is awesome!
i have to go cook some veges for dinner... back soon!
later, mrp.
hagn mrp
morning Babble friends. Another small one, I see... tiny and tough, or short and sleepy?
hi mrp..:))
hey Legend
hioya sprite..:)
how's life?
purty good..imup early today.....hows by you??
also up early, grin, and overall good. Happy to see the sun today. Life is nice with a bit of sun!
warming up nicely on my end too..finally! im ready to start complaining about how hot it is.:)
ooohhhh I am jealous! I wanna complain about that too!
we are not even close to that here, but at least the sun is out. Yesternight still frost, can you imagine?
hello?
hey rubyfoo! Did you have a nice birthday?
lol... poor ruby. I bet she has connection issues.
no frost here...thank god....i like it better where its warmer....!
lovely, Legend! You enjoy it for both of us. I will have to wait a bit longer for warm weather. Maybe next month :)
we had a snafu with my picking up DIL but other than 2 hrs standing in the cold, all was well and the house is filled with flowers!
but it is very cold here, rained AGAIN last night.
i will keep you posted.:)
they will never finish trimming the hedge!
I am glad, ruby! Did you get my ecard? If not, check your spam folder... might be there. It is from care2 ecards.
good man :)
I saw it but was too pooped to open it. But thank you for thinking of me. Did wildcat come on during the day; it was her birthday, too
didn't see her
ruby, I want to check some dates with my love and kids and then try to find a couple of days to spend with you... how would may sound?
I will open the card before our next scrabble game LOL
lol! Take your time. You need a bit of time to listen to it. I LOVE that song. Makes me smile every time.
and John called from India while I was at the bus station :(
aw :( sorry you missed him.
he is having a great, productive time, and on his OFF day, Sunday, he sat in with an Indian band at his hotel
he must be really happy, being able to focus on music like that
the idea of being able to do that during a 2-week biz trip is amazing
did you see my post about my coming?
sent when?
(if you changed your mind, just say so!)
I hope it's soon!! I need your sunshine
4.33 am
I saw one about a week ago and affirmed your invitation!!!!
yeah am thinking may
flowers! flowers! dogs! dogs!
am not su4 about bringing terra though. He does not enjoy a wild puppy, especially not a big and massive one.
lol silly, no, just a few minutes ago. Guess it got lost in the whole conversation here
did you say wild? raofl! he has squshed most of my tulips and allium but is delicious otherwise
no, I was writing my response about the e-card when you sent it
snap!
and now, back to Burt and DIL
that was 39 quick words but hands aRE FREEZING
do you think he will run over terra, collide with him etc.
bye ruby, see you later :) Tell Burt hi from me.
NOT SURE YET, BUT HE ALREADY HAS GAINED ABOUT 3 KG IN A MONTH, SO IS ABOUT 13 KG ALREADY
good grief! That is ONE big dog. I think I will leave Terra home then, lol.
HE CLIMBS ON rUBY'S BACK UNTIL SHE GETS TIRED OF IT AND KNOCKS HIM DOWN ON his BACK! IT'S CUTE TO WATCH BUT MAKES ME A LITTLE NERVOUS
sorry for shouting, big frozen pinkie is to blame
he needs that correction, or he will be insufferable very soon. And yes, that settles it. Terra cannot handle such a big dog on his back.
he thinks Ruby is his mother and also misses the other 5 boys in his litter. I think he'll settle down soon, though, give it a week 'til I see how he's doing
he has even tried to nurse from Ruby
is ok. You keep me posted and I will check some dates here and come with some possibilities.
must run
{{sprite}}
aw how sweet. *hugs*

technically I am retiring 7/1 but after the middle of May there won't be that much to do
i recommend it highly
although I am assistant department chair so there is still some administrative work, probably
and I have a big contract from a publisher for work over the summer (extra $$$, always nice)
i have the grandkids and my music which are the main things each week - and now i am off to the grands for the day - BBL
and time for me to get some exercise and get on with my day (still busy!!) - bbl as well!

school does not pay the bills
Wouldn't it be nice if we never, ever had to think about money?
you if we were rich?
*you mean
I don't know...seems like even rich people have to think about money. Maybe more like Star Trek... ;)
haha i think they must have had some credit system
stats for the lower U please
i don't have it...
ok..back all
me either
i think having a system to keep track of value is not so bad. . . but i am not sure that increasing in value outside of earned income is good. . .the supply demand stuff
am putting off getting ready to head to london.... to go study all day
and evening
hello again
the problem with an economy where you could only get value for work is that some are unable to work and you would need a system to take care of them and . . . .

no ruby - not old - pleasantly matured
I am , mom, but TY!
ty jmc
or ripened?
happy birthday hursh's sister
hi hursh
lol, she really ought to babble so she could enjoy this.
you could take a screen shot
Ruby, I thought we were about the same age. I am 54, 55 this year
my sister refuses to get a computer -- how strange is that?
I am much older.... :(
you can follow the chat without signing up. My son use to do that
i proved they are....the logic is backwards....essentially ths guy plantinga says..a person who Knows they are right to believe in their religion may not know an argument to convince someone else..and as such because does not know one...one does not exist...and since he knows he is right..the other person who does not believe in what he is saying is wrong and will not reach salvation
yes but i don't think she particularly wants to. :)
he knows these people who do not believe in what the exclusivist does...and they act pious...but they arent
I think not getting a computer is arrogant in this day and age
Mom we are the same age - 55 coming this September
haha that leaves me crosseyed too!
its a really high handed arrogant argument for rightness...and he goes one and on saying he is not arrogant...
I will be 55 in October
and my sister has 3 grandsons with whom she could communicate. She expects them to hand-write letters and go to the post office?????
oh okay i see now carlee
i will be 61 in july
Oct what? My son is the 23rd
my mum wont get one..but she really does not want one..she used to work on one all day and she rather enjoys being technologically free..she reads...she gardens
but you're a very young 61 jmc!!!
my Mom doesnt have one either - she is 83
i am what i am . . . after 40 age become irrelevant except for the doctor bills
i wiped the floor with him jmc but nicely...with non arrogant and very simple language...it is my GOAL to get through this philosophy degree keeping my arguments plain spoken, simple , consise and easy to read....poor crossy this guy plantinga was giving him chest pains with his arrogance
the 26th Ruby
my feeling is that if my husband, who is 86 and doesn't type, learned to use one, everybody who doesn't live in the same town (city, country, etc) as his children, needs to
us5? really?
yes, do you want a hint?
well...i am my mum's only kid... she sees us almost every day...
yes please
she doesn't need one then
love that us5!
us + that dress you are wearing is very ris***
nope... she ddoesnt...when she wants to book a ticket or something..she calls me up I do it for her
????? ty mom no clue what that means

oh, no, not seriously, joking about rareness of housework, i'm dumb, sorry.
bye, river!
*looks at stack of books by table*
sigh
thanks everyone!...i will have my netbook...
I would sooner scrub a floor on hands and knees than use a vacuum. phobia? maybe
SCRUB!?!?!?!?
miss marple felt that vacuums did not do a good enough job, was partial to the old carpet brush method.
I hate the way the vacuum smells!
*faints*
miss marple didn't have wall-to-wall carpeting
well she also had a maid.
and our old housekeeper used to vacuum up spiders! I told her that, one day, they'd be waiting for her.....
i love how in old times in england you could be considered "poor" and yet have servants.
that's like in India
ah, colonialism.
I see that squee is not accepted - Enable has not been talking to my students.
there is no definitin for us5. . . i hate that
what is squee?
looks Latin to me
i need some clues for the E words please . . . my homework is calling
it's what young girls (or people acting like young girls) say when they see a person they like

bye ruby!
ruby moves icily away....
apparently the us word is an obsolete Scots word for whisky...
Squeeeeee is so a word.
exactly my point, Judi!
certainly in more common use than obsolete Scots words for whisky.
.. back, waves to ruby.. we need to buy a medical bracelet for our son and are looking at them on line.. anyone have any advice?
Well, good morning, anyway.
HI, Judi :-)
don't know much about them, aloy, sorry
maybe if scrabbler or nef come on later they could help?
Good morning all.
hi nana!
Is JMC still here?
and I must be off - see you all later!
hubby is reading reviews and they are not good.. "too large", "lettering too small", etc.. they charge per letter.. he is past 39$ now
Bye!
bye sue, havgd!
hi trent and anyone else who came in whilst I was roaming.. got my coffee tho
You could have one made, Aloy. Have something engraved and have it rivetted to a bracelet of your son's choice.
You used to be able to buy "generic" med-alert bracelets.
that is an idea, Judi..
then engrave specifics on the back
or contact info
clue for de 6/30
You could probably have one made to work with a watch band easily enough.
think I'll call Walgreen's too, jmitch.. maybe..
How does he feel about a tattoo? (Just kidding. Please don't kill me)
interesting, Judi.. (-:
de + a sudden wind
http://www.roadid.com/Catalog.aspx?C=R oadID This company does ID tags. I used them back in my running days.
ty for that.. copying it down, jmitch
ty aloy, got it and FIREWORKS
wahoo for Matches, congrats!!!!
Sad. Med-Alert jewelry is hardly fashion forward. I think there's a niche that's waiting to be filled.
I tried to hyperlink that....but they have small tags for "cause" bracelets (LIVESTRONG) size, dog tags, shoe tags
hello again - my son has a medical bracelet and it is pretty cool actually. Sort of like a braided rope. We ordered it online.
ooh.. do you remember the company name, River?
morning all how many words or near words this morning? and thanks
87 steve
dont know offhand Aloy - just emailed my husband to see if he remembers. We do have the paperwork at home - I happen to be at work now and as you can tell working very hard..lol!
ok.. tyvm, River.. we will look
aloy-try looking on etsy for a custom one
with Keiths collapse almost 2 years ago and all the sports he plays - leaving on bus from school, we thought it would be wise to get him one. States his medical condition and phone numbers for his cardiologist
etsy? ok, ty magmom
our son has a prosthetic mitral valve and is on coumadin therapy.. he really should be wearing one
River: you might have survivalstraps.com they are cool!
Just looked there and they have some nice ones in copper with leather, very masculine looking
my husband cant remember either - I will check paperwork when I get home tonight. All the best to your son.
looked on etsy, I should say
cool! ty all for your help.. taking notes here
hi all, help with the 7pls
just fyi: we have chosen to stick with the bracelet for our son (17 yr old diabetic) bc we never felt confident that EMTs would look anywhere besides wrist for info
The 7 sounds like past tense "to build". Change the first vowel.
ty Molly
my son (15) wanted the bracelet rather than something else - and it is quite fashionable
problem is he cant wear it during games or track meets but at least he has it with him
great, River.. important that they like it!
phantom: recur
Firewords!

hi all
bye une, and hi jen!
and yay une!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi sue!
27 left, time to list. very stuck
hi sue, Jen
hi bichon
hi bichon!
are you really retiring. I retired at 62, but hubby still working
I am, bichon! I may come back and teach a little (fun courses only!!!), and I have a contract with a book publisher to do some work over the summer, but I really am retiring. (I'll be 61 next month).
You must get health benefits from your employer through 65?
I do (in fact, as things are currently, they pay the premiums!)
wow! Wesleyan sure doesn't pay the premiums. If that were true hubby would retire.
got to run to the store, be back soon!
My primary concern is that they may take that away before I turn 65, although even if they just continue to pay the portion they do now that would be fine.
Employers are changing. They paid my insurance til 65 and I had to pay the premium. At firt it was 15%, now it's 35%. So, I'm under my husband's policy
Even if I had to pay the full premium it would still be manageable, I think, as long as I could stay on the plan. But I hope they don't do that :-)
You just don't know how circumstance will change. But, you work for the state and don't they tend to be more generous with pensions and benefits.
They do (compensates for the lower salaries, supposedly)
My Mom worked for SUNY Research. She gets premium free benefits for the rest of her life. She's 88 and retired at 55
nice!
She had to sign up for Medicare B, but that's not a lot of money
Presumably I will have to do that as well, haven't worried about Medicare yet
need coffee - brb :-)
I didn't worry about Medicare when I was 61 either. But, as soon as hubby retires, I'll have to sign up for Part B
ah well - I will deal with it when the time comes...
You've got a while. What about your son's health insurance?
my last word, re 5/14. Anyone have a clue?
To sever again
have a trim..
to use scissors again?
ty rbud,Molly, ame
okay, i'm back~
and the chat dies again
Hi Jen. A lot of people are lurking and not chatting these days.
hi hi, Jen, was off in the kitchen for a minute
i can see that, the puzzle not that big tho' are they savoring it?
it often tends to be quiet on small-grid days. people finish then go on about their day.
I need U's and E's, wahhhh
yep, the Urkel is on TV
(I have the top right U)
There is a us5/18
ty, monkeyed it, never heard of it before! :P
So often the case with Babble words
I see the famous horse play name doesn't qualify, darnit
so I still have no E's. Guess I could peek at the list... but resisting.
hi again all, real life keeps interrupting
I can give stats or clues for the e's if you like (I only found them with the help of stats myself)
decided to check back chog for clues, but still hunting the er7
past tense of er5

uncover- your clue was good if I knew the word that meant that:)
hey all, just wandering in. Should I try this one?
Could I get a clue for us5 please? I can never get anagram clues.
hi stiddy, yeah go for it!
hello stidmama, I just began
us + high point tile + one more tile
thanks all! *dive*
us + ***ue up for the free popcorn at the movies.
roflmao LBD!!!! *gasp choke* oh man... oh gee whiz!
Thanks got it.
wheeee! fw!
I love the icon lbd!! I wish I could put it up in our staff room
lol, you could just don't let anyone see you do it, bugs
whooo hooo via!
YAY viajes!
Could I get a clue for te5/16, please?
hmm... think Spanish for water, Marc
te + water = a***
te + a*** (latin water)
isn't latin aqua?
I took Latin about 100 years ago but I seem to remember that...
it is -- they mean use the spanish version; the te is a nut
they carve these little nuts to make buttons, I think... *goes off to look*
now I have to figure it out... I took Latin in 1990
oh, no -- it's a high ankle moccasin from the U.S.
the babble dic doesn't have it, or the U word
amo amas amat is all I can remember
you're right, via. my latin teacher would be pounding my hands with her ruler if she saw that i misspelled that!
Could I please have the stats for the 7?
someone est puer romano (I forget the textbook boy's name)
er7.40
and of course, Romans Go Home from Monty Python...
Thank you
and then I went to spanish class several years later and used the word "puer" and the teacher had no idea what I was talking about...
down to 45... *sigh*
need to look over the materials for tomorrow...
decisions, decisions. I think I will get halfway and then go work.
there are several kinds of spanish
materials for Latin class, stid?
i first learn pure castillian spanish after growing up with tex-mex
what grade do you have tomorrow stid?
4th again, Bugs. A really nice class. Always enjoy being with them. :-)
I learned Spanish in Nicaragua and Argentina, where they call everyone "vos" instead of "tu" -- hard habit to break in other countries...
ooh. sounds like you have become their regular sub! good going
oh! got the er 7 and the 5 it builds from!
:-) I really do enjoy being there, bugs!
there are a lot of teachers on here, I have noticed... I sub for Spanish sometimes... but kids scare me. Adults are hard enough.
Good for you if you can handle 4th graders stid
I "can" do any grade (theoretically) viajes, my "sweet spot" is between 4th and 9th though.
re14, please?
try that again, Marc? which re word?
re 5/14 word is re + mow or *** the grass with lawnmower.
Sorry re5/14, thanks
thanks Min!
always loved the lower elementary (grades 1 - 4) the best
yw
I don't "do" under 4th grade well... have a date with a friend who teaches kindergarten to shadow her for a day to try to figure out how I can make that grade a little more manageable.
I sub for Spanish at an elementary school once in awhile, but I only have each class for 30 minutes so that's not so bad... one group misbehaved and I mentioned it in my summary so they got a talking to from the principal and then I got this package in the mail and it was all these apology cards the teacher made them write :P
D's Detached! 3 left
go min!
Boy I cannot figure out the re5/12. Now that I have the one after it should be easy. Any help please?
LOL that's GREAT, viajes! In a pinch, I have a few learning games that work for almost any content area. One of my favorites is to have the kids make up an impromptu quiz on what they have been learning...
re 5/12 is the right-hand side of the book, ends in a vowel
re5/12 word is re plus anagram of army bed Marc Freeman
Got just needed to shuffle some letters around.
they always leave me lesson plans so I don't have to worry about it so much... but that class was in a "let's misbehave and run around because we have a sub!" mood
Thanks
yep. sometimes there just isn't much you can do ... had one of those classes last week, in fact! older kids, though. By the end of the class period I had them back where they needed to be with behavior...
finally, fireworks. don't know why such a small one was such a pain in the rear.
YAY Uncover!
but it really was a pain, but i also have fireworks
yay, you!
okay, NBT and down to 21... going to read over the material for tomorrow so I have a few options.
YAY teach! *(poof)*
hooray for fireworks!
okay, time to work on website -- back at flip probably
subbing is so much harder than having your "own"
yes, very much so
and when I used to have my own class (ESL) I hated having subs! I got all possessive!
did it for one year and took my name off the sub list by March - it was too frustrating - and i had been a teacher for many years before that
i hated having subs because it was so hard having to write out the lesson plans - had special ed classes - had different subjects each period / hour - didn't teach out of a textbook to leave page numbers for
they only call me in about once a year; I don't even know the last time I did it. I guess I do know I worked 2.5 days for them last tax year. :P
yeah, same -- but I also had this irrational sense of "but they won't know the students! they won't know what to do! They'll do it all wrong!"
*sneaks back in* I so dearly love the teachers who carefully clear off their desks (and nowadays document camera stands), put the materials in order in some way and include a list of what happens when -- with only a general note about "how" to teach (while making sure I know where the teachers' manuals are). Then I really get to teach, but am covering the right material.
subs don't know the class or the individuals they way that you do - but most of them at leasdt try to do the best they can - i always tried to call the same sub - and the one sub was a parent of one of the students - and now that I am retired she is one of the teachers that has taken over my class.
well... I think I did that when I had a sub. The "they won't know how to do it right!" was only in my head.
I also tell the students (especially with 4th graders) when I meet them that I am NOT going to do everything the same way the regular teacher does (although the more times I go back to a classroom the closer it is), but they will be learning and they will be safe.
ah! Mother is here... back later. *poof*
evening all...
yes, I should poof too. Websites don't redesign themselves...
hi and bye turtle! *poof*
with different classes throughout the day, I made up file folders for each class - as well as a schedule of how to make it through the day
Hi redturtlehead! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid

Hello uusue2! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle.
hi min
d's done
can you clue the de 5/16 sue?
two, ruru
I got up at the crack of da 4/9 this morning and started the grid.I was su4/5 that I was going to finish, but I was unawa4/8 of my limited time. When I came home from work,I found the rest of the words except for one. Here is a story for you to re 4/5 now. The events in this story have been dr5/20 from my Babble experiences. I began babbling in Au 6/30 of 2005. I am completely addicted to Babble and there is no cu 4/6 for my addiction. I am addicted to it like a dr4/8.I need a dose of it every day. I love everything about Babbleland from all of the grids to the cu4/6 icons to the babblers in the chog. I dr5/14 the day sometime in the future when I will no longer be able to babble due to circumstances beyond my control. Hubby wants the computer. If I do not give it to him, I'll have to endu 4/6 his ranting&raving which I find totally disgu4/7ing. How da 4/5 he take it away from me! He's so ru 4/6 sometimes. By the way, most of this story is tr 4/5. I am going to da4/5 on into the bedroom & watch the movie the Crossing Gu5/18.Goodbye to all babblers
thank you UU
