Hi Stid- I am lurking also
thanks stid/lurker
wow ruru!
dart isn't here..yeah.. he might be busy and I'll catch him with 1000 pts
ahh erda you just proved gullible lol
huh?
how was the auction jilli? did you buy?
joke love gets people looking it up
No, flosey, just went for the company and the wine and goodies, lol!
Some people get their enjoyments in a peculiar way...
lol
*don't ask me erda*
And to suppot the Centre School, where neighbour teaches.
sure, why not jilli, and you never know
suppot?
Jilli.. were you smoking weed at school again?
Did everyone get out to look at the spectacular moon?
I did, it was a lovely moon. we were driving back from dining out. very nice!
absolutely not, ruru -- only tried that once, years ago, and inhaled.
yes Erda, we did
LOL
took pics, haven't downloaded them yet
yes erda- Jakester and i went out and looked at it
was bill clinton with you?
I tried to take a picture of the moon the other night -- it was spectacular even though not quite full. Had lit up the clouds and the tree branches added spooky interest, but it didn't turn out. Should have done a time exposure but I had just woken up at about 3 am and didn't bother.
I'll download now, bbs
My one puff of weed was long before the Clinton days (daze)
It's a lovely moon. I am down to 22 words. But tired.
((((((Jill)))))) are you fully ambulatory now? Dancing can cans again?
I am at 52 to go
hi stiddie -- about 99% fully ambulatory -- no can can can quite yet
hm. *puts fluffy petticoats back in wardrobe* we'll have to practice later, then.
oh oh... *sits in PB*

gnight stid
was on the beach and should have changed settings but couldn't see well enough, just a dot in the sky - and reflection on the water - another dot
of course the 8 would be an re word. Any hints available?
a person who gives a witty response
extend re6/18
the witty response
don't have that yet, flosey -- I'm allergic to re words
the re6 is also, I think, a word describing a container used in chemistry for distilling, doubt if that helps, lol
now yer talking, rbud -- got that re6, lol!
nbs now too -- ty flosey and rbud
noooo, you're kidding, right? ;p
wheee, whatever works! :D
wtg jilli
did a lot of chem and biochem at university, rbud, lol!
well, that explains that! glad I could help.
the wit made me think "riposte"
understandable
I recall the re6 from chem in college, too, I always thought it was kind of odd, so it stuck in my head
not much else from chem did, though, lol!
I did a lot of chemicals earlier in life.. but not quite the same way
in case you were wondering where I got my weird sense of humor.
We used to sing this back in the 1940s:
Cocaine Bill and Morphine Sue Now Cocaine Bill and Morphine Sue Were walking down Fifth Avenue Chorus: So honey have a [sniff] have a [sniff] on me. Honey have a [sniff] on me. They came to a drugstore painted green Outside was a sign said "No Morphine." They came to a drugstore finished in oak The sign outside said "No More Coke." From Broadway to the state of Maine They search in vain for more cocaine. So in the river side by side They both committed suicide. Now in the graveyard on the hill Lies the body of Cocaine Bill And in that graveyard by his side Lies the body of his Morphine Bride. The moral of this story goes There aint no future in snuffin' snow. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. If the coke don't get ya, the morphine must.
We thought the whole idea of such drugs was stupid -- but booze was something else.
to go back to the chem re6 - I have one in a cupboard here. I think it was named for its shape.
... funny jilli
clever one jilli
I maybe have one cocktail a year
ah, but the wine, eh ruru...???
well.. we don't count those
we do recycle...a lot though
okay.. i'm off for bed.. good night all
gnight ruru -- have a good sleeeeeep
well, past halfway and bedtime. Busy again tomorrow -- library work and wrapping un-Christmas presents for next weekend!
night jilli, sleep well, hun.
off to bed for me, just sitting here staring, think I'll be out like a light very soon
22 for tomorrow
sorry, flosey, was emailing negativeneil, sleep well, hun. see you at the flip
good morning
is anybody still here? I always come on too late!
bore da Ruby - just got here too
how is your world this morning ruby?
more rain and even more rain! and cold! I think we've had 3 warm afternoons this spring. The noxious weeds are taking over the garden.
it's been like that here too - but yesterday was dry! dull but dry . And today is the same. It's been too cole here for the weeds to get a grip.
the weedw got their grip; I've lost mine LOL
I planted some broad beans (fava?) three weeks ago - they never fail, but this year there's no sign of them germinating
I haven't even looked at the potager, which is down below. It is so marshy down there, I can't imagine we'll have any strawberries or raspberries this year
<-- loves fava beans
oh the raspberries will come no matter what!
I love fave beans too - I grow them and just eat them in the garden when I pick them LOL - they never make it into the kitchen
and my fig tree died
oh no....
i love figs too
(((((ruby))))))
I planted it in the most sheltered part of the garden and it had grown very large and had to rounds of fruit every year. I think the warmth in (I think) Feb, followed by a very cold snap, did it in
and hello glantarell
i had damage to many plants which ade nd early start then got caught by frost - but none have died, thankfully
morning grannyrose

speaking of te5, when do puppies stop practicing?
would you like the stats for the 8's and the 7's?
have 4 7s
only have 1
stats would be lovely
ho8, a combo word, and re8. co7, cr7, fe7, fo7, of7, re7,and tw7
ruby, te5, they stop when the last of theit te5 are replaced by their adult te5
for the moment, Rufie is magnificent, 99% of the time. He bites only me, the other 1%
okay, i can handle that, but can you?
from where i sit, can't feel a thing. LOL
has is going to be enormous, almost as big as Ruby and he's not even 5 mos old
omg, ruby....and just who is going to walk him?
fortunately, the garden is big enough and fenced. So far, I can control him on the leash in the street but I don't know for how long
time to exercise your doogy authority, ruby.
oh dear.....* doggy *
have you read the Dog Listener by Jan Fennel?
really really useful insight into dog behviour and how to control it without being uinkind
wrote it down, ty glanta, will order it
http://www.janfennellthedoglistener.co m/
how are you 2 going with the ho8? would you like a clue?
yes! need clue
I turned several dogs around when I wokred for the RSPCA, using her methodology
he is very smart, so should be easier to train unlike our other chow chows
and he does totally endearing "tricks". When you throw a ball, he does somersaults, every time
this is not about training it's more about understanding and therefore communicating in ways which worl

ty - I wouldn never have got it either

chores on Sunday? I already did a huge breakfast and a load of wash!
btw, ruby, it's about 4 weeks until i book in for my knee replacement....and the bathroom still isn't finished. waaaahh!
night from me, glantarell
{{rose}} btw, your "talking book" is finally in the mail!
ah, thanx ruby, looking forward to it
morning, Babble friends :)
{{sprite}}
how are the 7's going?
are you having constant rain, too?
((((spritey))))
<-- only have 3
no, not today. We even have some sun.
ruby, rain on and off, and in between, dull overcast days.
it is soggy and cold here
need some sun
I have one 7 :D
ditto here, ruby, and, boy, do my joints let me know it.
*hugs rose and ruby*
and now it's time to be a wife....aaaarghh
Himself is waiting for his Campari
I am enjoying our scabble games, sprite
lol... tell him hi from me and tell him to behave.
oh, dear, ruby....patience, my friend
me too, ruby! Good win you had again!
he is starting to forget more and more stuff; it's scary!
I remember more about his life than he does
such a shame, ruby, when we see our loved ones fade before our eyes
never easy
hey there to all... I can totally relate as my husband has ALS and is losing his body before his mind.
oh grandy, that is terrible. Such a horrible disease.
{{grandy}}
82 words with a lot of help from Rose
hey grandy
how old is he, grandy?
yes, it is.. one never knows from day to day what will not work next.. he is 67... it is limb onset and he can still talk and breath. He was a stocky muscular man and now they are like indents. humor gets us through most days.
ruby, for goodness sake, give him his campari, and get back here
happily, he's still out walking Ruby
humor is an amazing force.
oh, grandy, thoughts and prayers coming your way
how hard for you both, grandy, you are fortunate to have your humor left
grandy, have you read or seen "Tuesdays with Morrie"?
thank you... it is nights like this when I can not sleep, that show the strain. but a little babble with friends is a joy. Does not happen often though. I am usually just too tired.
{{{{{{grandy}}}}}
I have not see Tuesdays with Morrie... I have heard of it though.
this is the most wonderful support group!
if you can spare the time and energy, it might be worth it. Very beautiful.
*poof* for now
bye, sweet friends!!!!
Yes, it is... I could not handle a face to face support group. there is one but is a few hours away. Just stick to routine that gets me through to.
bye ruby
night, ruby, talk to youn real soon
routine is good because it saves energy and gives you something to hold on to. It is a tough road you travel, both of you.
the light of our day is our 5 year old. we are raising our great grandson. He is a bright star.
and grandy? just tap into us whenever you need. my email is in my profile
same for me, grandy. If you need a listening ear/reading eye, we are here.
Thank you all so very very much.....
you are raising your grandson? May I ask about his parents?
that's the beauty of babble. so many, with sympathy AND empathy
back, I have a 15-minute reprieve
and a wicked sense of humour, rose :)
AND experience!
wb ruby. Now don't secretly sip his martini!
see??? campari is a wonderful thing!!!!
no, he wasn't ready; it isn't 11 yet! lol
he was born to our grand daughter who has mental capacity issues. He does not have any of that he is as bright as a button and yes, he can out smart us sometimes.
he's given up martinis
now, spritey, you wouldn't be referrring to the ot5 night, would you?
don't tell me I was tipsy online?
that is a noble undertaking, grandy. My parents raised my sister's son and he became a great success
it must be demanding, to take care of a 5 yo in these circumstances. But I can imagine his being a blessing too :)
me, rose? Never! You know me. Would I ever do that to my babble friends? *looks innocent*
if you gals are okay...i will just slip quietly away. see you at the flip
It comes and goes and we have a fantastic family of support. we have always raised him in a village of attachement, so he is comfortable with family.
[[ROSE}]
bye rose *hugs*
nitey nite..rose
wow grandy, that is beautiful.
LOL, spritey, would have to be one of the most mortifying experiences of my life
* poof *
I must look at this grid... three times I have almost posted a word....
I THINK i'VE MISSED A SCANDALOUS STORY....
in that case, rose, you are leading a very innocent and clean life :)
whoops, caps again errant pinkie
oh and pass the martini this way... a little virtual booze never hursts
don't worry, grandy. It happens to all of us. It is a silly thing in the setup of this site
*pours grandy, ruby and self a HUGE martini*
I'll put some martinis in the pb before I leave
morning all - lovely sunday morning here - off to Bristol later to see a band called Kidnap Alice - blue grassy folky type stuff
hello kazzer
sounds good, Kazz, and hi :)
if kazzer has good weather, we should have it in two days or so
how is your pup - growing well? I would also like to indulge in the drinks but i prefer beliinis - lovely proseco with all sorts of fruit concotions
*pours Kazzer one of her favorite drinks*
he is enormous kaz, adorable, affectionate, does tricks, but still bites me now and then
sunny weather would be a good change for us here. blow it on over
<-- never had a bellini but it sounds wonderful
yummy - just the thing to get the brain cells firing on all cylinders
*real poof*
bye ruby!
I'll try Grandy - though its really cold for this time of year - we had to cover the spuds with fleece yesterday to stop them being damaged by the expected frost
If I catch you tomorrow Ruby I will give you recipe - your could do it with champagne
our garden is so wet we can not even rototill yet, net alone plant
sounds like we all could use some real Spring
hmz... I don't like the combination of cr4 and fe4.
a spring in my step too... would help
maybe that is what the bellini will help with
we were really lucky that March was like a summer month rather than spring - we got sunburnt in Wales!
*takes grandy by the hand and huppels through Babble with her*
thank you all so much... sprite you are lovely.. thanks for the hand
yep they help me - specially on a dank dark evening - reminds of al fresco living in the summer
huppelen is dutch... don't know the correct english. Maybe skip? frolic? It is what kids do, a happy walk, twice on the one leg, twice on the ot5.
sounds good, Kazz :)
oh.. that sounds like some much fun.. like tiptoeing through the daisies....
yes :) That was the idea.
well it is 2 am here.. and my yawns are coming faster than the words... so I am off to rest in the bed again. thank you all so very much.
sleep well, grandy. *hugs* Will think of you and your husband.
nite all and good morning to others. i am off to brizzle with my hub and off to lunch as well by the sound of it

welki, my previous mowing kid called me yesterday and he will mow this summer after all, so I can skip buying a mower this year
bonus! now you can take that $$ (because you intended to spend it anyway) and buy something F.U.N.
lol, love the logic welki..sound luke my mrs
i have a PhD in pretzel logic :)
I was going to spend approx $200 on the mower and will pay him approx $250, BUT I save the time and hassle of mowing every week
you almost had a unplanned expense, but it did not happen,so take the money you would of spent and buy shoes!
so if you add up the hours you've saved and convert into hourly wage - you could probably buy yourself a new car *lol*
hehe
lol,welki
I am driving this car as long as possible. It is 7 yrs old and I am about to hit 150k miles.
if it is a honda or toyota, you will have another 200k scwabby,if it is north american iron 80-100k
Ideally I will save enough $ to buy my next car with cash, and I will never buy a new car again, just pre-owned/used
I have a Subaru Forester--great car.
those are nice cars for longevity
i've had two subarus - loved them
My sister just leased a new Outback. Sure, I'd love a newer model, but I'd rather save money.
(that was in the 80s - an old gl wagon and an xt7) - i am a car whore.
the new outback sport with the inline 6 is nice

fo 6/27 is peculiar, you want it?
yes please :)
there is an fo 5/18 babblet that usually catches me too, but I saw it this time: fo + male pronoun in reverse + single hump letter
fo 6 is almost the name of a favorite Dicken's book of my Granny's: Little Do****
yes i have the fo5, looking for 6
there is the fo 6 that builds of the military branch air fo5
aha!
24 left, seems a shame to list now :)

i have co, cr, tw
I am missing two: I have co , cr, fe, of and tw
oh yes, got the of right off since you mentioned it :)
:-)
glad to be useful!
re 7/44
thanks teach! how did that bluegrass festival go in february (? or was it march)?
is that from the right or left r, teach?
got it! :-)
from the right, LA
it's a past tense word
aha
last weekend in February eveey year - it went well - now getting ready for an outdoor festival firsdt weekend in June
went to one yesterday and there will be one the following Saturday - but not involved in organizing those
I am glad it went well -- I used to love those sorts of things. In Newport News, they used to have a festival in May or June I think (might have been later in summer though) that was so amazing. Clogging, lace making, GOOD bluegrass, crafts... I loved it. Still miss the good Appalachian foods and music.
I think it's more fun to attend than to organize...
in June the food will be traditional appalachian cooking - ramps and potatoes, soup beans and cornbread
I am going to a one-day learning about Irish next weekend! language, music, dance... VERY excited to go!
oh yum! *wiping drool off keyboard* glad I have a keyboard protector!
sassafras tea and saasparilla also
how's the weather back there, teach?
mmmmm. we don't have sassafras here. I really want to get some seed and grow a bit. It's one of the few treats I really miss.
I just hope I haven't manage to get allergic to it.
down to 8...
yesterday was drizzly in the morning but dried out for the afternoon and evening- today is clouded over
15 to go here
we have sassafras here in our yard and there are ramps throughout the woods
we had similar weather yesterday was worried we wouldn't see the moon, then it cleared up really nicely around 10. Sunny at the moment, but high clouds filtering the light
saw the moon while at the festival briefly and only through the trees, while driving home it was clouded over
I loved sassafras, it was one of the first deciduous trees I could identify reliably. That, and ironwood. Our woods have lovely trees, too -- and BIG! but I still miss the mixed woodlands sometimes.
through the trees would have been pretty!
we had one in the woods behind our school and could easily get the kids to identify it
I had to look up ramps because it doesn't grow in the tidewater area. Here is a marvelous resource I found! http://www.wvagriculture.org/images/Li terature/Edible_Wild_Plants.pdf
re 6/18 pz the first one just b4 to lease
there's an fo7, stiddy
Hi LeslieAnn. :)
re + double consonant + movie alien, ivesy
ivesy, what I have is the cow lining that makes cheese curdle
heya neil
thanks LA *looking*
ty ty .. didnt see the double consonant
ramps are a cross between onions and garlic and grow wild in the woods - i personally don't like them but there are many ramp festivals here in the spring - yesterday at the festival they were selling "ramp butter"
can you send a hint my way, LA?
there were little wild onions where we lived, teach -- my brother and I used to snack on them while we played in the yard... LOL pull them up, peel off the outer layer and yum! but I don't know that I would have liked a garlicky plant much although we eat lots of garlic now.
compound word - 4 + go, past tense
thanks LA
i've got ho8, what's the other 8?
we have wild onions here but they are not ramps - ramps are much stronger and larger bulbs and a definite garlic taste - in June they will fry them up with hash brown potatoes
re 8. will trade...
ho8 is another compound. to ho** your skills + st. john's ****
ho 8 - compound word - never heard of the word before - someone said it was another name for parsley
person who answers back quickly and with disdain... re + layered cake + "one who" suffix
thanks LA and teach
ty stid needed that one
down to 5. listless, but not without assistance, that's me!
ah thanks stiddy. had the 6 but not the 8
re 7/44 plz
nm just got it duh
I have to leave it at 5. In anticipation of many firewords: ***showers players with confetti and chocolates*** have a wonderful afternoon! *poof*
*Ah, what a lovely sound, the sound of someone else vacuuming*

et6,21 - et + female chicken + vowel That one, LeslieAnn?
ahh thanks rbud. 12 left and hitting a wall
Oh. Or what rbud just said... which is a better clue.
hahaaahahahahahaa. i love the fo7/56. tried it on a whim and it's real! :D hehehehee
I laughed about the tw6/39 - buy one, get one! :)
Well the present tense of it works, jes, so of course that does. ;) I've seen it before but it does seem kinda weird.
i've never seen it before... but i like it :)
Oh that's a term used in online pool games, rbud... maybe real life pool games too for all I know. When you sink two balls in one shot.
thanks, rbud, i didn't have that one :)
well, someone early in chog said there was a tw6, and that was the only thing that popped into my head, was surprised it worked
missing one from the bottom r? have ro4, ro5
last word - fe 7/52 - very strong want or idea
there are 2 ro5
Yeah. When you do that in a pool game people will say "Nice tw6!" Maybe you've heard it somewhere before and just don't remember?
ah ok. thanks jes. congrats teach!
yay teach! and thanks :)
Or seen it? Actally I've only seen it... typed by people in online pool games.
hi all
morning, jam :)
never played online pool, but it may have come from pool players in my past, though I'm pretty sure I've only ever heard it used when buying/selling something
*inserts toothpicks to hold up eyelids*
Oh, maybe. Online pool is way too addictive.
Hi jmc! Wakey wakey? lol
stayed up too late trying to catch some clear sky to see the moon
Still drinking coffee and trying to wake up myself.
*slides jam a mug of tea*
And it's 2 hours since I got out of bed. :P
Everything is addictive.
yeah but it 2 pm here
mmmm thanks jes
Hmmm no, Kaplan. There are definitely some things that would never addict me.
not everything is addictive but someone can become addicted to anything
30 left and slowing way down
Oh I can think of things I couldn't become addicted to... because I don't like them in the first place.
heroine is addictive. . . we are addicted to babble because of our personalities
Or because we're just word nerds. ;)
Speaking for myself there, definitely.
that doesn't mean they wouldn't be addictive to someone else
This is a debate in the field. Heroin doesn't addict everyone who uses it.
Babble does.
Really? Wow. Didn't know that.
i'm at 9 jes, practically immobile. :)
haha i know that is not true kap. . . some people have avoided the babble addiction
There are people who moderate their use and make sure they don't build up a habit.
heehee, just had to giggle, our little dog was napping, th4 I heard her coming through the bedroom to find me - sounded funny. when she got here, she had one paw stuck up in her collar - time to tighten it a smidge, I guess!
OMG. What's their secret, jmc?!
but you are correct some people do not become addicted to heroine but they are in a very small minority
Aww. I guess so rbud.
oddly enough the opposite is true of cigarettes. . .most people who try smoking do not become addicted
Hi Seain.
aww poor baby i bet she was scared
It's not even that small a minority- but it is a hidden population. There's been a lot of research over decades, but it is considered heretical.
missing one c? have 1 ce, 4 co, 4 cr
well, it's happened before, she just finds me and figures I can fix it, I suppose.
I'm still not smoking, jmc! Been struggling not to get any more but held off so far.
it's good she knows she can get help!
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!! neil
yay, neil! good job!!!
Of course rbud. Moms can fix anything. :)
i wonder how many of the people who never get around to trying heroine because it holds no interest would be people who didn't become addicted if the did try it...
i think dogs are just kind of like, hmm this isn't right. cats are the ones who freak out about it
Yeah. Interesting point to ponder jes.
she's old, and pretty wise now, got a lot figured out.
Yeah, Leslie.
well there is the other downside to heroine which is the fairly high opportunity to overdose
True. That would be a serious deterrent.
Just the whole idea of it never had any appeal for me... that or any other hard drugs. No thanks.
whereas cigarettes only kill slowly
Well that's why I've quit.
stats for the top O please
never tried it myself, along with a big list of stuff - I was always one to watch how things affected ot5 people, if I didn't like what I saw, I never tried it. good way to stay outta trouble.
Exactly, rbud!
not a bad philosophy rbud
ov4/7
Let others be the guinea pigs. :P lol

Looks fun and useful -- thanks!
it is quite usefull
and it will take entire pages at a time
now,it is just the big tease to get you to buy the premium program, but is still handy
I worked in a lab where we had a grammar check program. The boss wanted us to use it as we were writing papers. What a lousy program! It didn't recognize latin plurals, so it was always telling me my subject and verb didn't agree when they did.
And it didn't understand that in scince writng you're *supposed* to use the passive voice.
well,i cannot promise how it will handle other languages including dead ones, but try it
And it kept scolding me for using big words when you sorta have to in technical work...
heck 99% of all checker programs in the states balk at colour, arbour, theatre etc etc...so i amused to it
lol
And that I was using the same word too often
am used*
I think these things would be great for someone in high school learning to write papers.
for those of us who already know how they are just an irritant. My 15 cents
it is a handy tool, not a rock solid final draft sort of thing.i would use most of them in that way
Agreed, rasta, but I'm going to check it out anyway. Crossy's reccommend is usually spot on.
for final drafts,it is as it has always been .get five people who do not like you very much to read your book/paper and tear it apart
And if English isn't your first language, have someone read it for whom it is....
this is true
Amen to that, crossy! Although I have an excellent friend who is also a terrific (read brutally honest) editor.
that way you do not end up with chinglish and other english varriants
I've gone over galley proofs for my mom dozens of times. This was dinner table stuff for us
you will always need a brutal editor
Arguing over the usage of one word vs another
yup, dissecting the minutae of each word and how it can be adjusted
we drive anyone outside the family crazy. Most people don't like having their grammar corrected.
we enjoy it. I'm trying to learn French since my dd moved there and married a frenchman. She knows I want her to coreect me lol
i avoid being a grammar nazi in here at all costs,as in the past i have used ghost writers,as my mind ticks along at a mile a minute and my finger go far slower
I try to remember to keep my mouth sht but sometimes it pops out. Esp when I see it on professionally printed signs. Arrggh!
my mind races along such, that often i will type in a dyslexic(sp) manner when doing a long work
typos are a different story. Look at all of them here in the chog lol
But when my daughter's teachers would say "should have went" do you keep your mouth shut? no.
yup, this is a place to relax, not have a typing test;))
I will leave you wordsmiths to it. I'm heading outside to demolish some weeds :). Have fun, all!
tc ch1212
what drives me round the bend is live shows in the southern u.s. instead of the word "asked" they say something that sounds like "aksed"
and any who uses the words "at the end of the day" all the time
and "warshing machine"
ok, I'll shut up now. Don't want to get all you good folks irritated at me too lol.
sokay, just a bit o fun right now rast
no probs;)
:)
now you are talking accent, bronx i thing "he haaad a haat ataack while airning the clothes"
laverne and shirley talking through the nose stuff:))
yes, I'm afraid we turn on the subtitles when a movie is set in Dublin or Glasgow...
hehe,i love the deep brogue used in some areas
when i read any james herriot books,i hear it in my head
It's lovely as music, but I can't follow it when it's deep and fast
like French lol
or that gaelic music type used for the ladies Enya,s "may it be " is a good example, beautiful, haunting, but have hard to understand
very*
Orinoco Flow. I had too look up the lyrics, I couldn't figure it out lo

it all bradens our horizons

yes, this is true.
Well, I'm done now, thanks to morewords. Can't believe it thinks tw6 is a real word, speaking of linguistics. I'm going to go work in the garden for a bit. bye all

Hi Soodle! My name is Minveryork.I'll ALWAYS be a babbler!
LOL Min :-)
*Scratches head and tries to remember someone named Soodle*
Hey Molls.:-) (in best Joey voice....) How YOU doin'?
Of all the people they could have picked to portray a Jersey boy on "Friends", I wish it hadn't been Matt LeBlanc.
Why is that Molls?

Hey Stid. Last time I did Irish dancing, I ended up with two black eyes......
From what I saw of the show (was not a fan, but my kids were) he just didn't cut it.
Hello stidmama! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog.
well, back using the cane this weekend, so might not actually "dance" much, but will be fun anyway. :-)
Oh, Stid, I didn't know you were having mobility problems. Are you OK?
I can not believe the tw6 is a real word...
Hello redturtlehead! How are you? Welcome to the chat log
I'm alright, got big day tomorrow...so getting ready!
It's actually a speaker part Red : )

And amusingly enough, it works with a woofer : )
Good luck on your big day
perfect
I am okay, soodles, the hip that was getting better is now a little sore, am hoping it resolves in a week or so with "good behavior" -- hard to do with all this sunshine! I have dahlias that NEED planting! *stomps gardener-mama fe4*
other than that, I am doing very well indeed, and very happy to see you online for a change!
I'm glad to hear that, Stid. You do what they tell you to do!! Life has prevented me from Babbling for the last few weeks. I grabbed an hour this evening all for myself. Bliss!!
:-) Sorry life got between you and babble. Happy you got some time today. Did you see that GLORIOUS MOON yesterday??? It was amazing over here.
I totally missed the moon which is a little sad, but I saw a huge amt of photos of it on FB.
Its 11.30 pm here, I'm going outside to see if theres anything left of it. BBS
hi all! photos from miss2bit's (gasp) 2nd birthday party are up on FB
including mrs2bit's masterwork owl cake
it should be lovely tonight as well, red -- and it's up fairly early -- we could see it around 10:30 here, but in flatter or less-treed areas probably 9:30 or so.
Hello dan2bit!How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log
Hi 2Bit, I'm sure a good time was had by all. Especially the cutie pie birthday girlie.
hi all
I have we4x5 and we6 what am I missing?

*blinks several times*
just got on and slammed 93 words....now totally stuck
ruru hows is going
doing well, river. hanging out to clue, but my brainmeats are a little screwy, so some of my clues leave somewhat to be desired...
there is no such thing ruru
Hello Ru, River, Jes, and anybody I missed.
i'm fine River.. nice to catch you here for once.. you're always leaving when I pop in.
HI soodle
ru, don't make faces, it'll stick that way
(((((Soodle)))))
howdy, soodle
I dont always get on the weekends and work frowns upon my playing so need to get off quickly...lol!
Oh dear, pardon any tarnish I may have placed on Ru's pristine reputation.
hubby making supper tonight so have some time...until he yells
Oh, after being away from Babble from a while, its like going to you Grammas house when you come back. Loads of friends and hugs and love. :-)
have you been well soodle...hope so!
*makes gramma's apple pie for soodle*
My cup runneth over!!!
I was on vaca for a bit in April so didnt play - no computer access
I know Molly.. I'm considering a Lawsuit
why didn't you take Dart with you RIver
obviously I have missed something too!
if you know she didn't mean it, why would you sue, ru? *thinks maybe he is not so innocent as he looks....*
Dart?
:D
innocent???
Ruru innocent??????????????
*whistles*
Hello riverdance! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid.
*Watches as Ru pretends he's making apple pie, while in reality, he is considering the Marion Barry defense*
supper is ready..must go...have loved seeing you all! Enjoy this Sunday evening (at least in my zone)
Hello ((Min))
bye, river, have a lovely evening
Goodbye Riverdance. I'll see you tomorrow in the chat log.
Enjoy supper River (())))
I don't do Coke though Molly
Bye River. Husbands who make dinner are definitely worth hanging onto.
Husbands who make dinner??? I thought they were like Santa Claus.........
I was referring to what he said about the "b" who set him up.
They are mythical, for the most part, Soodle.
Mythical, legendary creatures, similar to leprechauns, only taller............
I make Breakfast Lunch and Dinner daily for mrs ru
unless I'm not here.. and even then I cook ahead for her
bruce makes me dinner
I did say "for the most part" to cover my ass.
Putting my name down for a Ruru, should one become available.
Soodle, apparently we just don't know the right men. Which is no big secret to either of us.
Well, actually, Molls,............ I found a sort of a man......
sort of?
You should have been here earlier when rbud said her husband was in the recliner, napping on and off, waiting to be fed. Where do you sign up for that gig? WHAT???? SPILL
oh boy
sort of a man? or sort of found a man?
maybe half man/ half horse.. a centaur?
Oh, and here she had everyone keening about the "life circumstances" that have kept her away from the computer.
Oh crap. I knew I shouldn't have menitoned it........
LOL
*wonders if centaurs roll in the hay .. or just eat the hay?*
er
There I was, pushing my cart around the supermarket, and a 'man' said Hi, and I said Hi and whaddya know?
hmmm.. go on ...
Nah, Ruru. Your gonna have to buy the book...........
so you brought him home and put him in the cupboard with the rest of the groceries?
*Pretends she never read anything and fills in the sordid details on her own*
what's sordid about vegetables?
Read between the lines. He squeezed her melons.
Unless soodle was fondling them while she was talking to him
Good Lord above...... you lot are worse than my mother!!!! She is off to buy a hat in the morning. And light a candle in thechurch...'Glory be to
Good Lord above...... you lot are worse than my mother!!!! She is off to buy a hat in the morning. And light a candle in thechurch...'Glory be to
well they can't elope now
:D
Sorry. I got over excited
So far, the "we met in the market" thing is very When Harry Met Sally.
I'll have what she's having!!!!
really saladacious if you ask me
Oh okay, she's talking to her Mom about him already. Yee Gods.
Putting nose in the air, and ignoring the snide remarks, and putting the record straight... It was in the frozen food aisle.
sounds fishy...
Mother's first question was.... Does this man lurk around supermarkets all the time?
probably something to do with Cool WHip
Best pick up place ever for over forty people is the supermarket.
Muttering quietly to self.. I knew I shouldn't have said a word....
as long as he doesn't always go through the express lane
Five items or less, five minutes or less, what's the diff?
Clean up on aisle 9!
you know we only tease cuz we likes youse! :D
I bet she wishes she had dropped this on the tamer crowd who would have said things like "Oh how lovely. Have you had tea with him yet?"
ROFL
She wishes she had stayed shtumm!!!!
Oh Soodle! I think it's awesome...good for you!
Too late. I'm sure the underground Babble emails are already flying.
I hope shtumm isn't what i think it is
With as much dignity as I can muster, I will bid you all a good night. (It's 00.48 here).
lol.. bye soodle.. we love ya.. we're just teasing.. take care
'night Soodle!
Well that's it, she will never chat with us again.
Not a shred of offence taken!!!! I love it!!! See you guys very soon. ((((Hugs))))
sleep sweet, soodle
bet she's going shopping at the grocery store
*wonders how much frozen food is in SOodle's freezer now*
Me too Ru.
she's off to get warm and cozy with the man she met in the iced aisle :)
:D...we're soooo bad molly
*Tries to imagine grocery store pick up lines*
Paper or Plastic?
*do you shop in the frozen food aisle often?*
*need any taters with those tots*
Don't be fooled. She came right out and said she didn't stay shtumm.
No wonder her sainted Mother is off to light a candle.
(maybe two)
it'd be great if she met a nice guy after that jerk of a husband
I agree.
Hi all -- been reading the chat -- just hope the line wasn't "how long have you been coming here? " or "have we met here before?"
