Yep. Write even more lame s*** on the internet. Haha.
neil my msg went out again...I think I should scrap it for tonight before I go out of my mind...
Professional blogger... huh. Too bad it doesn't pay.
your time is coming.. you have talent too
Hmmm I saw that M. Maybe you should get someone to look at your computer/internet connection?
your parents must be pretty cool people to raise such bright and talented kids
Thanks ru.
that sounds like a winner...we went wireless and troubles ever since...
Aww shucks. Yep. They're the best... wouldn't trade them.
Oh you're on wireless? THAT explains it.
That will happen.
tell your brother congrats.. not that it means anything from me.. but I'm a fan
You can tell him ru.
You have an old fwd'ed email somewhere.
what a board. theres two identical arrangements of 6 letters, one upper left, the other lower right. How weird is that?
I wouldn't violate his private email.. no way
To tell him that? How's that a violation?
Hi, Neil, sounds as if I missed something. 'sappnin?
I enjoy reading your stuff and leave it at that
I'll warn him: Watch out for ruru... he's worse than Dad. :P Haha.
[you and your puns]
no shit.. if he thinks your father has a warped se5 of humor
Uhhh, you don't know our dad. :P lol
He might even be too warped for you... although I'm kinda doubting that.
no.. not possible
Hi melonhead. :)
No probably not. But I doubt you'd be too warped for him... put it that way. Not much to choose there, lol.
hi melon
hi. I'm here for a min, decompressing from 3 days of Alg II.
hi jilli
3 days of what?
I taught constructing conic sections. I was a standup conic.
Algebra II.

Oh, duh. I'm slow.
And groan... yes. :P
I want to triangulate him
Ugh. :P
At least I didn't make them listen to my Harry Connick Jr albums, jilli!

oops
hubby's knee - bone on bone... cortisone shot helped for now, but eventually he is going to need a knee replacement in his right knee
I'll take a list of s's and a's rose :)
ouch
it's no wonder he has been hurting so much.
They said he can have cortisone shots every 3 months, so if that holds the pain, he'd like to wait until next spring at least...
dee, was offered the same deal by my ortho, but he went one step further, and warned me that cortisone softens bone, and when the time come, more bone has to be removed when the total replacement is done.
he can join ruru and have a double knee surgery
not two knees...two people
i opted to continue with anti-inflammatory agents and paracetamol extra strength.
That is what worries me! I want to ask my brother more about that.... not sure that waiting is smart
lol dart.
Hubby has so much going on right now; he would like to avoid surg for awhile.
hey dart, has been done. i nursed a guy who had it done....only took a little extra recovery time, compared to one knee
He said cortisone shot made a huge diff, so we'll see... doc didn't give him pain meds, so I figure if the pain gets intense before 3 mos, he'll have to do surg sooner.
dee, may i ask, how old is hubby?
i just meant...ruru has been putting it off for a while...they could go in together
he'll be 59 in Dec
maybe a discount?
prob began from basketball years ago
d's are: de 4, 5, 6, 4, 5, 4, 7
if he can hang in there until he's 60+, will have a much better result. you are only allowed 2 replacements per joint.
rose, actually, I think that is why doc wants him to wait for awhile..
He seemed to think if inflammation calms down, he'll have awhile w/o surg
get the cream dee. pain away arthritis relief. if you can't, for heaven's sake, email me your postal address and i will send him some.
then he'll have to think about what kind of knee he wants... biomet, zimmer, depuy lol...
stryker, the list goes on and on
they don't offer a trick knee?
I have arthritis pain cream... right now the shot did the trick... just not sure how long it will last... yes, and stryker
dart, mate, you still there? sure could do with some help with the e's, please
lol a trick knee...
rose, we live in the "orthopaedic capital of the world"...
good that you have so many options open to you, dee.
here are n's one short: ne 4, 7, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 4 no 4, 4, 5, 4, 5, 5, 4

How old is she?

Hi Ruby do you know there is a new book out by a Rothschild granddaughter about her gt-aunt who was a close friend of Thelonius Monk? The radio review sounded very interesting

I guess that's the jazz "countess" and hello, scouser
hi grannyrose. Did investigations go ok?
snap rose, and I am off HUGS!!!
yes thanx, got Neils lists.

yes Ruby. Quite the bohemian lady !
just like me, LOL!
136 words and nbt, but still don't have any 8's or 9's
onsets
sorry
okay, done, ruby will list the 8's and 9's for yoy
ty, smare rose!
smart*
ce8, ce + opposite of yes + turn the *** onto get water + i am *appy to have you for a friend
ce8, money + wind direction, repeated
ty grannyrose and for the related sing and plural
only related in form not meaning !
co8, co + all creatures are ****l + doh, re, mi, fah soh, lah, **, doh, then plural for co9
co8, ice-cream co4 + the top of your head or liver**** is a tasty spread, then plural for co9
that 9 is a mouthful
ty rose
pa8, past tense of pa6, pa + camping equipment
lovely clues, thank you so much
grannyrose your second co8 clue - a skunk of a clue? I wouldn't have got that one without you
pe8, slang for urine + cross letter + very little + cross letter, then plural for pe9
that last 9 is a hoot!
se8, plural of se7, part of a minute + vowel after a, plural for se8
not a hoot Ruby - but a good description of another sort of avian noise
and i think that is all of them.
we have an owl nearby (speaking of owls) and I hear him every night
oops I will have to go into the PB with my chog at 2:27 taking a cup of tea in there
I'll see you in there, scouser, but haven't found your word....
it was hidden in grannyroses se8 clue
70 left and out to attack some weeds!
the one I can't find is the wind direction one....hmm
ty grannyrose super clues
rose is a marvel!
oh, wonderful clues, g'rose, was away for a bit, came back, and got them all with a little thought. thanks so much!
how are things, rbud?
oh, fair to partly cloudy - getting ready for that big annual party this weekend, going tomorrow to buy lots of buns and meat, paper plates, etc... and will start cooking Friday.
what is the occasion for the party?
Hubby's bday is the 14th, our anniversary is the 16th.
lovely
he likes a big party, but in Oct. on mine, I like it quiet, dinner out and a little campfire, I'm just that way, lol.
how many people on Sat?
don't really know, anywhere from 60 to 100 or more, depends on the weather, many will ride motorcycles if it's nice.
wow!
that's his bunch, he works on Harleys, certified HD mechanic.
go Salukis!
*poof*
we encourage camping, too, and there's a little local motel that usually gets a bit of business when we have the party.
that all sounds wonderful!
we have a big chunk of land, and lots of woods across the driveway for tents.
it's fun, but exhausting for me, I end up in the kitchen most of the afternoon, but oh well.
you're still young and have the energy!
real poof now
sorry,,gals, was over in email account...my head is a zillion times larger than normal. i am glad i can clue so that you can follow
it used to be really big, when we had bands and put up posters, but we stopped all that some years back, and now we don't get so many folks we don't know, haha...
night, then, ruby (((hugs)))
Has anyone heard how Dee's husband made out - and also the cesarean baby of a friend of hersp
I 'm glad I could follow your clues, too, g'rose, I'd have had a hard time with several of those! :P
flosey, babe delivered successfully, at 6lbs, and hubby needs a total knee replacement.
wonderful news re the baby. not quite what her hubby want to hear I think?
I just caught a tiny mouse with a fly swatter and upside down flower pot with hole corked
clever flosey, not sure how i would have handled that situation. the only thing i have ever done is scream....very loudly
we;;. at 1am. O dpm
start again, well, at 1;am i don't want the neighbours running over to see what was wrong
now why would that be, i wonder, lol
lol, hate to think what would be running through their minds
not a mouse, presumably
just as long as they don't call 911 before coming over - wouldn't that be quite a hullabaloo
well, I did go to bed earlier because I was so tired, but couldn't settle down, so thought I'd pick up a few more words
could be a bit of a giggle actually...about equivalent to the time i stopped my car, in peak-hour traffic, and refused to get back into it, as there was a great hairy spider crawling over the ceiling of my car.
where you stuck, sweetie?
oh, my daughter would do the same thing- , she is as frightened of spiders as I am of snakes
ok, dozing off again, be back in the morning
flosey, you still here, or are you aleep at the keyboard?
left a note to hubby about the mouse. (by the coffee machine0
oh, i see, well slepp well, my dear, see you at the flip
almost granny, off for sure now
and i also, happy babbling to all left here.
anybody still here?
briefly, ruby, can i help you?
only 58 left. just had the handyman cut down a nasty tree/bush that was sucking the light out of my kitchen
can you carry some branches?
what a difference!
and your clues made all the difference
now that's always a good thing....confronted himself re our bathroom today. offered to hire someone to finish it...he became very defensive.
burt is sulking because the handyman started with "my" tree instead of "his" grass
but the grass was too wet to cut in the morning
lol, for goodness sake, does it matter? both obviously needed to be removed
he needs to find something to sulk about....
oops, dinner here, my dear, need to go. talk to you tomorrow
{{rose}}
*poof *

morning all. if you are interested... that is about my cousin.
Wow Hursh, what a story. Your family must be very proud. He's an amazing young man.
yeah... he's a lot younger than me so i don't know him all that well (we have a large family) but that certainly brought tears to my eyes.
i'm proud of my aunt for being so strong, too.
greetings!
hello angel
howdy angel
I am having such fun with my book. 50 pages in now (rough draft) of at least 250 pages.
His Mom is amazing too. She seems very devoted to her son. Great story, thanks for sharing it.
and a special salute to your cousin hurshy.the rest of the world can sleep easy knowing men and women like him are over there on the other side of the wire protecting those in need.my granpa was in ww2 and was called back to do much work as a fireman during the blitz
and the four younger siblings have all been able to take turns visiting him down at walter reed, too. it is so weird though, since my aunt isn't so very much older than me and i attended her wedding as a young teen, to think she has a son old enough for this!
His story reminds me of Carl Brashear, who was a pioneer in making sure military amputees would be reconsidered for active duty.
my family doesn't have much military history in the past few generations - my dad was 4F for vietnam bc of his back - so this is all pretty new to me. must be cool to have a grandpa from WWII.
hurshy i just saw the video. wow. amazing guy. wow. as an american i am so proud of him.
my granpa us to give my gramma a case of the screaming horrors by mailing home war trophys many of which were live and loaded, helmets, bayonettes, lugars, those stick grenades..
amazing mom too. i am from connecticut and this kind of passion for the nation is how i grew up.
thanks. :)
does anyone have clues for the 9s?
oh crossy why would he do that??
do not know hurshy, war tropys were common among some of the boys
sure, war trophy, i get THAT, but LIVE ammo???
what war cross?
(sorry mkg i don't have them yet)
lol,4 live grenades were found by my grammy when he passed, she had to call the bomb squad in the early 70,s to get rid of them
ww2 mkg
yikes.
wow.
wow what a story cross.
my dad had the lugars into the 80,s and donated them to a war museum
we used to play with the bayonettes as young teen boys lol
but it all went with the lugars and medals and such to the museum
hurshy tell your cousin that i think he is amazing and i pray that all our military men feel as he does. we must be ready to sacrifice for our freedom. i fear these people. there is a you tube from london of an imam telling how the muslims plan to take over europe and then the world: little by little. they will eventually vote into power their own candidates and we will have shria law.........and then they will be in power. very scarey.
glad it all went to museums.
scary indeed mkg
atone
oops sorry.
sorry all.
yup,all of it,insignia patches,medals, commadant hats,helmets all of it

The other co9 is what you put ice cream in and a word that means head (sounds like intense dislike), plural
molly dont get head clue, or intense dislike..........
Must be brain dead. I get the first part of that clue, but not the 2nd part. **must drink mo coffee * glug glug glug
Okay. Just got it. 2nd half of co9 - another word for scalp or bald head.
Second part sounds like don't be l*** for work.
molly can you clue the second word differently

great clue molly.
ty for that molly
Tyvm MollyL, I have been trying to decode the earlier clues for co8/9 for hours. I still don't get the original clue! Must return to lurkerville and stuff to do. TA!
It appears to mean Mexican skunk, but I don't clue with definitions I'm pretty sure most people don't know.
you are so wise :)
wouldnt the second half of the word be the same as the pa4 5?
Yes it is. But I'm never sure which words people have and don't have yet.
Yay! Just broke 100.
as hurshy said, you are very wise
congrats judi - need to celebrate each step along the way
So few black tiles though...
I'm sure someone probably clued this, but what are the other two nine words beside the co9?
morning all!

there is a link at the bottom of the page.
pe9/84
Okay. Thanks. Will work on those.
Give up. Clue for pe9/84?
pe9...urine + sound a bird makes, plural
Oh now that's just silly. Thank you, Molly.
that... is... weird
A definite what the hell word
must be a bird name or something
one can only hope.
yep. spotted sandpiper.
Scrabble dictionary says it's a wading bird, yet...
It is a type of sandpiper.
Clue for the 2nd 9? Not the ice cream vessel/scalp thing.
co + say that two things are the same
Um um um... ???
co + eq6/27 and plural
Ty. I'll take a fish from that sandpiper.
Still can't find the list.Any help?
Kenny Underneath the grid there is a friends of babble section... the list is in Babblers Anonymous
Babblers anonymous, General, Negative Neil...
Pooh. I can't get to Babanon from here. Anyone have it posted in their profile?
Kenny, open Babblers Anonymous (link below the grid). Click on "general"; today's clues are the first post.
http://babblersanonymous.yuku.com/
i just put babanon list in my profile if you still can't get there
Ty, teach.
Thanks teach
tadone!! finito! 8's and 9's are odd words
Whatever happened to Lickety's list? We were told that one was to be posted automatically...

YW
Hey Sue, crossy, et al.
And there's a list on BabAnon, Erda... if you're still here?
Oh nm... I see you said that. lol
Still here, Neil -- and I am using your list, for which I thank you!!

ty dawg
Eva do you still need the bottom t?
hello all - bichon i do
Yep, Erda... kind of back and forth though. And you're welcome. Glad it's not for nothing.
te + one a** play + vowel
never for nothing neil - i will use it when i rund out of ideas
Good to know, ursh. Just seems that way sometimes when everyone has one in their profile anyway.
But I guess if some can't access BabAnon for some reason, that's helpful.
I always check BabAnon first, if Lickety's not up, so I don't have to hunt around for whose profile has it. I am there right now - thanks neil
ursh, did you get the te 5/12?
Yeah, I figured that would be easier, rasta? And you're welcome. :)
any clue for the first co8?

our cat likes to lay on the bath mat while we shower, guess he likes the heat and steam, but i had to teach him early on in life that everything that swings and moves is not a dangle toy...
hrm. trying to come up with ideas for dinner tonight (the planned meal is a no-go) and just nothing is appealing to me. i want something different from the usual...
whats in the fridge, what meats are laying round?
Have it catered...
lol,catering for a regular dinner..love it
no meats that are thawed + not much in the fridge that isnt already allotted for something. i have some pasta, some instant rice, some butternut squash (already steamed). already had pasta this week, though...
egg fu yung. Quick, cheap, easy, out of the ordinary.
wish we could afford to have it catered!
any chicken breasts in the freezer?
yes, but i wont be able to thaw it in time for dinner.
yes you can,put them in zip lock baggie and float in sink of cold water
you can defrost them in the microwave
the microwave always dries them out + i will have minimal dinner-preparing time tonight. im thinking i may just be telling the hubs that we are just going out for dinner. thankfully, i have been saving some coupons...
lol, love how she passes by my suggestion to get ready for dinner out on the town..lol
i often thaw meats /fish in cold water baggies
and i am agreeing with eva on microwave thawing
crossy, i have defrosted them i nwater before as well, but it just takes too long. plus i dont really have anything else to put with it, so id have to stop by the grocery store first anyway. too much time + effort tonight. cant be bothered.
food is so inexpensive in the states.go out for dinner here and the MINIMUM you drop without any drinks is 80 dollars!
we are still working on a slim budget since moving, but i think we can afford $7 per person at the Old Country Buffet. ;)
wow!..for m7 dollars all you can eat,i would pitch a tent in the lobby
hah. well, ive never been there before. im guessing the food quality is "meh" at best, and im sure the health value is even worse. but at least you can get whatever you want and as much of it as youd like.
Old Country Buffet is so so. It's better for breakfast. Pretty much your standard, cafeteria, steam tray fare.
any other suggestions, molly? im looking for quick + cheap, but also decent-ish food and some variety... whats near us?
lol when someone aks me for quick, cheap and fast,i tell them to pick two and get back to me
well, arent quick + fast the same thing, crossy? ;)
sorry was supposed to be good fast and cheap for the choices
ahh
well, youll notice i didnt say "good" -- i said decent. ISH.
hehe
sooo, not road kill but not bacon wrapped sirlion medallions either:)
yup! doesnt need to be gormet by any means, but preferably something that wont put 5 pounds on me + have me running to the loo in 15 minutes either. ;)
would you like to drive to WV (not quick) but our favorite Indian restaurant is having a special buffet tonight - excellent food (if you like Indian food)
up here we have, montannas, red lobster, one local mom and pop steak house and of all things a schnitzel(sp) house
Eva have you been to Acajutla yet? That is pretty close to you, and it's good Mexican food. Not sure about how cheap though. I'm sure you could find their menu on line.
OCB is not bad - bland, mostly, but you can hover around the salad bar for lots of fresh fruit and veggies, and the desserts aren't very good (so not tempting, at least to me)
we have a red lobster. but theres not a whole lot there i can eat. wasnt a huge fan before WW anyway -- other than their glorious cheesy biscuits. :)
would someone clue the co 8/60 please
i wish we had popeyes here, the commercials make it look sooo good though it is funny how everything comes with a buscuit
co + eq6/27
thanks so much
what we dearly miss here and it is sadly long gone and i do not know if any were in the states were the old ponderosa steak houses
Yep, we had Ponderosa. Now the chain that is popular is Longhorn. I love that place.
we used to make any excuse to go there
i miss the sizzler. i LOVED me some sizzler!
molly, i havent heard of that mexican place before, but its right around the corner from my house! not sure if i can talk the hubs into it -- we shall see!
oh boy
and the jumbo baked taters with sour cream, bacon bits, chives, drooling with butter....mmmm
sorry to butt in on your eating habits but is there a list?
neil has one
thanks

i will warn you now, this game can become addictive, though i have had no problems and have quit many times;))
lol crossy, but always come back
lol

h flosey
indeed
i am terrible at getting addicted to these kind of games! i only have to look at them and im hooked!
hi jmc
well this one is extra nice because you actually get to interact without having to compete with people
well, believe me medusa, you'll get hooked here
well,i will give you a week and you will be going pro
i think i went pro on day 3
i am already hooked! i dont pay for sites online. i make do with the free versions. lol
i went pro the second month because someone bought me a pro as a gift
test
oops!
ok,who wants to tell her bout the penalty box?
I'm still playing free, I know going pro supports the game,, but so far,, I'm doing fine
I understand that medusa but this is a little different in that you only pay once and they never hit you up for buying a extra vowels or some such sh*t
have to tell you about my middle of night experience - couldn't sleep, so came out and turned computer on again, realized there was a mouse in the office, so closed the door and chased him around with a fly swatter and plantpot with hole blocked, finally cornered him under the plantpot and left him for hubby to deal with this morning
best 11 dollars i ever spent
after two weeks it drops out the tile stats though . . . but there are lots of people who play for free
what is the penalty box about?
and did hubby deal with him?
you are an old timer crossy, it's 15 now
lol 4 years this june
if i see a mouse i run like hell. . .i am a wimp in the case of rodents
yes jmc, slid a piece of cardboard under the plantpot and took him out and drowned him
poor mousy!
you don't even want to see me with a bat in the house!
i love bats too!
with my mrs,it is spiders
oh, we've had that, captured one in a towel, wrapped him up and left him for the animal control to pick up
pent
oops!
Hi Medusa, welcome to babbleland!! Have fun!
wrong box medusa, though on day one you get a free pass
i don't kill them. . . i know bats are good. . . but when i was 5 there was a rabid bat epidemic and i never got over fearing them
thanks flask

Cos' we loooooove it!!!!
my cat bought me a decapitated mouse the other day...the bairn freaked out and got my next door neighbour to get rid of it...it went where all dead rodents and rabbits go....
hi flask
mine brought me a mouse trap with just a tail in it, twice
hi lilli
hi medusa! I saw you asked about the penalty box - we send ourselves (or each other) there if we type a grid word into the chat box - all in fun, of course
haha my cat is too old for those shenanigans now!
when there are words like "word" and "grid" in the grid the penalty box can get pretty crowded :-)
and hi again all! I am grading exams, can't you tell?
some are less fun about it than others ;-)
ah! ok thanks for that. with this laptop i will be there alot!
no, cos it is too addictive..worse than cigarettes and they were easy to give up, compared to this....plus there are loads of lovely people from across the world and we all learn lots about different cultures...but i'd ignore flask from scotland, she's a pain!! lol
hi jmc
hi sue
*pinches lilli* behave!
going for a tattoo...will be back soon...I hope, byee..xxx
nice xeiluj...not!! :)

Don't worry lillan...you'll keep!
i hope you switched to giggling at the freedom
ahh, do i have to jmc?? that's boring!! :)
how he got them through the cat flap, i will never know!!
I will giggle a lot more after these exams are graded...
we have newbie and you don't want to scare her off that fast, now do you?
hope the needle doesn't hurt too much flask!!! :))
2 hearts with A and I inside....and a wee Shamrock!
ha, xeiluj, I had a friend whose cat brought a DUCK (ALIVE!) through his cat door once - woke up to lots of quacking in the living room
shamrock...why not a thistle?
wow. sounds cool
bbsxxxx
bye, flask!
♪ Oh Lydia, my Lydia ♫ Have you seen Lydia? ♪ Lydia the tattooed lady ♫

if you mean me it will take more than you can imagine to scare me off!
ok jmc, i will behave...
oooo one of my favorite marx brother songs!
unbelievable, now i am feeling like my cat is normal!! lol
i suppose jmc, because the shamrock is supposed to be lucky
not only that, but the cat door was in the basement - the cat had to bring the duck up the stairs!!
you don't have to get carried away lilli just to** it down a little with the mean remarks! haha
well i have 4 adults and 7 kittens they are all crazy!
Keep reading this chat log Xe, you will feel more normal by the minute.
an intrepid cat!

not my fault that is what the word comes from
me either molly, but that's because i don't know how to play it! now if it was monopoly or uno...that is different!1 lol
Nothing, I have just never been able to grasp the game. It was sort of a rhetorical laugh at myself. Just ignore me, most people here do.
and by stats i did mean the second letter too
I kept thinking of checkers, which is similar except with the male ruler...
How can I ignore you, Molly? I'd miss the best parties!
es4/4, en4/5, jmc
i looked it up the chess one lol :)
but most of you have read through the looking glass and that is what happened to alice when she reached the 8th square

ohhh, I found my Fake Word of the Day! de5 -- when you amputate a digit off your foot
yes checkers and draughts seem to be the same
Detoe!
most of the films mixed wonderland with looking glass. . . very annoying!
there was a bbc through the looking glass alice in the 80s i think that was very good
yay Molly! You get cake.

hi, soodle! Long time no see!
Hiya Sue. How lovely to see you :-)
I am grading my last set of final exams EVER - retiring at the end of June! Yay!
Oh my, Sue. Big changes!! Onwards and Upwards....
Indeed! I am going to park myself in the library for a while and read all the books :-)
Yay for you, Sue.
Congrats! Sue!!
thanks, scrambler! I had a bit of a weepy moment earlier, but I really am looking forward to this.

neil's list is in babanon too
58 left and I'm stuck
got it by looking rankings
can i ask, why is it when people retire that they get a gold watch? (i know it's not always the gift now)
I have one 8 and no 9s
did you get the ve sarah?
Who knows Lilliann. I've always thought that was a fairly dumb gift.
64 and stuck harry
well lill I think I'll come back later and list
good luck
bye, harry!
i always thought so... what were they suppose to do with it apart from the obvious...remember what they would be doing at that time?
bfn harry, i'll probably still be here!! lol
It's kind of a moot point these days as so many people are looking to work long after they might have retired.
A boyfriend of mine - decades ago - gave me a watch as a birthday present. My aunt declared that the next thing he would give me would be an engagement ring. She said that a gift of a watch meant 'The time is right'. My aunt was wrong..........
which would be good but sad as retirement is suppose to be a happy time and catch up on things they couldn't do and have fun with their lives and enjoy. my grandad worked hard for alot of years and was in ww2 and a year after he retired he was gone....
still can not get the ve6 27 need more help sorry :)
it is the one after the ve5 18

Molly. Your tongue-biting skills have been noted, and appreciated.

<------ very impressed at Moll's ability to whistle whilst biting her tongue. A veritable contortionist!
she can wrap her legs around her head too soodle!!
So, how much sympathy should I have for students who don't bring a calculator to a physics final exam??
How many people have just tried to whistle while biting their tongue....... Hands up.....
are they allowed??
pretty much required, lilli
Not a lot of room for humor in chat anymore Soodle. Whistling is probably for the best. Biting tongue if necessary.
*hand up* ~:o)
Yes, amelu?
i hated physics and maths so why i took it up at school, i don't know....oh yes i do.my mam told me too!! we weren't allowed calculators though...saying that, it is 28 years ago....omg...i'm getting old
if it is a requirement then no!!
Molly... No matter where you are, theres always room for humor!! And Amelu's honesty is to be commended!!
I know people without a sense of humor, very sad
well, this is second semester university physics for engineers - they should know by now to bring a calculator (I thought of suggesting a slide rule as a backup but probably none of them have ever seen one)
Oh, me too, Peri. I dread them.
I would not have sympathy sue, surely they know to bring a calculator to class by now
that's why you need to whistle, bite your tongue and wrap your legs atound your head molly!! :)
missing a v and a w and 42 other words, and I hear there is no lickety

never heard that phrase, Molls
Yes thanks Peri
diving into moly's soup....mmmmm...tastes yum....needed that!
I am hungry too
yw craftylady
Peri, Irish women generally cook enough to feed their clan, the clan next door and anyone else who wanders down the street. At least the Irish women in my family cook that way.
tomorrow night, i have my bairn'r boyfriend, and friend who is also a boy coming over for tea. we are having a raclette, but i've told her they all have to stop downstairs!am i being too mean?..
raclette?
Raclette? Is that fondue?
most of my family are welsh molls and they did the same and it has come down in generations, also my mam's side are geordies and scottish so the same there too
It is your house Lill, so whatever makes you comfortable
And if you mean by "stop downstairs" that there is no entertaining in her bedroom, you are most certainly NOT being too mean.
39 left, bbs
no, it is a french thing....it is electric, and has a griddle pan on top and a grill underneath and you get 8 little triangle pans, so you cook yopur food on top and then put notmally raclette cheese which you get from france but here i use any soft cheese slices and so you put your food you've cooked in your little pan and then put cheese ontop and then grill
bye peri, tc hin
my mam and dad brought it over from france as when my bairn and i were there we liked it
sounds delicious
you put it in the middle of the table and have loads of other things as in we cook courgettes, mushrooms, prawns, tonatoes, really whatever you want...it's suppose to be a family thing
Good heavens, Lil. You are pushing the boat out! Boyfriends of daughters in this house take pot luck. It could be egg and chips, or it could be lobster thermiador (yeah right!!)
no, i don't think i am either, thanks molls, could be as i'm an older mam, compared to my bairn's friends, but she is nearly 13 and hormones are flying at the moment
lol soodle, i'm doing the raclette as it is easier for me as they cook what they want, instead of me cooking it and them not eating it...plus, they don't know this yet but they are helping me prepare everything!!! lol
Personally, I am fond of the boyfriends who come bearing Chinese take-away or pizza.
ne too, but he is only 12...so that isn't going to happen...
Lil, you will have a great evening. I love being in the background, and listening to the teenage conversations. I usually need Molly's tongue-biting talents...
i'm sitting with them!!!
Lilliann, I don't care how old you are or how old her friends Mothers are, 13 year old girls should not be entertaining boys in their bedroom.
my daughter actually wants me eating with them and so does her boyfriend who i've never met but spoken too on the phone, he sounds very polite and her male friend, we've both known since she was a baby and she went to school with him until last year when they chose different ones
that sounds delicious and i would not mind one bit u sittng with the table if ii were one of them
I mean, unless you WANT her pregnant at 15.
then she could be on a tv show on mtv :)
14, Molls.... do the math!!!
thanks molly, her dad and i are rather strict but probably because we are older and the way we were bought up
I was allowing time for the usual fumbling teenage sex, Soodle.
i think i'll need molly's tongue biting talents too soodle! :)
Point taken Molls. (I had forgotten about the fumbling bit... :-(
I don't think you are strict at all, Lilliann. If anything, most parents these days are WAY too lax.
HIya Cos. Or should I call you Rembrandt? (Cos and I are playing Drawing with Friends on Iphone....)
aww, thanks cos :)
mmmm. you've never met me molly, believe me, i am strict...sometimes i think too much!
lol i suck soodle but i upgraded to draw something pro last nght.. only 1.99
Not at all, Cos. I ain't no Michaelangelo myself!!!
and as for getting pregnant when she is 14 she's not 13 yet and if i have my way she will be in a....ahh, i can't think of the word, i said it to my brother earlier, about one of his daughters!!
got it...chastity belt!!!
hi cos
Lill, I have 2 girls. One 20 and one 17. So far so good, but I'm not complacent. its a tough world out there. You do your best, you pray, you keep your fingers crossed, and hope they will turn out OK.
at the moment theya re into holding hands and a kiss on the lips...better stay that way.....
i take my hat off to you soodle as i only have my daughter and i know how hard it is to tell them right from wrong, about sex but at the end of the day whether she listens to me is another thing...i hope so
throwing in my 2 cents worth.i would not allow my 13 year old daughter to entertain a boyfriend in the bedroom
Oh, and I almost forgot... you terrify the bejaysus out of them by telling them the graphic details of giving birth.... (joking)
no you're not...lol
i've already told her...
i'm trying to put her off anyway i can...as they grow up alot quicker now, as in hormones, periods...its frightening!!
About 4 years ago, I had a 17 yr old son, and a 16 & 13 yr old daughter here. I used to have to duck to avoid the hormones flying about. I retaliated by saying 'Just you wait till I hit menopause... just you wait...........'
lol,i am always asking the mrs if it is hot and cold enough for her:))
Hormones and periods have been around forever. It's the exposure to sexually graphic stuff that kids get these days that contributes to what I call "early onset sexuality".
Molly, my sister found pretty graphic porn on her Iphone. Nobody but her or her 7 yr old son had access to her phone. Now THATS scary.
i've been in the menopause since i was 35, and am nearly 43 so that might also be why i'm a grumpy old mare, but saying that i would still be the same as in how i bring her up! :)
I wonder why a 7 year old has access to a cell phone that can download porn.
yea,mom and dad can just put her on toddlers and tiarras instead..show sickens me
my daughter has a laptop but only until a certain time and certain sites are not allowed..we have access to every site she visits
the problem is that her friends show her things!!
Well, I guess she never in a million years guessed that a 7 yr old would have the wit to google bigboobs.com or whatever. NetNanny has been installed on every device in the house now, but my sister is terrified of what he has been exposed to, and more importantly, how a 7 year old even thought to google such a thing.
omg soodle, did he realize what he's done...probably not, but would he really know what he was seeing...??
$64,000 question Lill.
as in a sexual thing..hopefully not!!
maybe he's looked at your sister's and then just typed it in??
When the net was relatively new, my youngest was doing a school project on Ancient Egypt. I had the brainwave we would Google it.... well, the stuff that was thrown up would make your hair stand on end.....
pe 6/27 and 7/36 used when making jams and jellies (alt spelling)
i typed in catteries as in for my cats top go and stay for 2 weeks whilst we were away and you don't want to know what came up!!!
ty crossy, wouldn't have thought of that alt. spelling
.Yay Crossy. Didn't think of the alt spelling/
np:)
Snap Bich :-)
monkeys found it for me
et 5/18?
Kids hear things from other kids. I would guess that is how the youngster knew what to type in to get to the mentioned sites. We are a long way from boys swiping their Dad's Playboy magazines.
et5.18 et & little in Scotland
tyvm lynxxx
100% correct Molly. And its so ********** accessible. Sheesh
ty lynxx
ty lynn
and pl, on that
thanks lyn
need 3 8 letter words
need 3 8 letter words
And you can filter and NetNanny everything in your house, but what happens when they are playing at someone else's house? *Goes back to whistling as this conversation seems very unpopular*
you control what you can in your own home and set the rules, unfortunatly you cannot censor the great outdoors and he or she will come into contact with things you object to
my son has bee offered crack in high school
you raise them, instill good values, set reasonable limits and love them
exactly Cross
clue for ce8/55.....please
war memorial
yup crossy, and hope for the best, my kids all in 40s now and I'm proud of them all. They had been exposed to drugs in HS, tried it and made their own choices.
TY Cross, nice one
So, whats to be done, Molly? My sister sat her son down, and asked him why he typed in bigboobs or whatever. He was utterly mortified (can a 7 yr old be mortified?) She did her best to explain why ladies take their clothes off, to earn money etc, but she felt her explanations went over the head of a 7 year old. Vicious circles....
i bet he didn't take it though crossy...it's sooo hard being a parent as you tell them right from wrong but then they will still choose their way....i just hope that we have done right!
just back from a nice walk - out into the old (over 100 year) apple orchard - must get some pictures
hi Flosey
i still need more than that.....i guess im just dense today Crossy
hi lynn
he did not take it,he has been offered sex and meth, and ecstacy.a parent can only teach them right from wrong and hope for the best
i didn't dare do wrong as my dad was a policeman at the time but now teenagers don't give a monkeys if you frighten them with the police, because they want a fight!!
does anyone have a clue for se8 please?
and of course being there if they stray
think i need that one too
se8 is 60 of them in a minute and add2 letters
yes - and waiting up for them when they've been out for the evening
ill take a clue on that se 8 as well please
Lil, I think that's se6 and 7?
ty lillian

oh and neil if you are in here, congrats to adam!! i just heard his first album went platinum!!
medusa add the extra vowel at the end
se8 se6.24 is not first, add a vowel to that, then plural
ok
I'm not sure if anybody ever suggested this on Babble before, but was there ever a suggestion of a Babble Book Club? I.e., a book would be nominated, a month would be allocated to read the book, then a discussion of the book would follow.....Perhaps on FB or some other forum..........or am I being hugely optimistic?
thanks guys. got there eentually! lol
i like the idea soodle. i rewad alot
we have a babble goodreads.com book club soodles, talk with neil and he will hoo you up
hook
I just joined a local book club, Medusa, and having read the nominated book, I was fascinated to hear other people's opinions of the same book. Many of them totally different to mine!
its good to do i guess. not found anything like that round here
Oh thanks, Cross. I had no idea such a group existed. Is it Negative Neil?
yup
he knows the ins and outs of it all
popping up for air...whooo...thanks crossy, i didn't know that!
back all... yes! I am in the goodreads group too... under my Real Life name...
ois that on fb viajes?
and goodreads is a very nice site in its own right, keeps track of the books you have in readers or on your shelves, allows you to rate them for others and suggests a next read based on your reading patterns
so without knowing your 'real-life' name, how do I make contact, Via?
yeah... except I only log in about twice a year and update all the books i've read in six months...
it might be Katherine... maybe...
lol viajes
that sounds cool crosshair
since i read on average 2 books a week, waiting for 6 months would not be good
i don't like being on fb for too long
what's the group called again crossy? It's like "Babblers Who Read."
something like that
no it's not on FB it's its own site, goodreads.com or maybe .org, I forget
ill have to look into it
What I was thinking about was one book, one month, and one discussion......
just google goodreads, get joined up and get organized
what sort of books do you like soodle?
ahh like a old style book club soodles?
yay, I was right! It's goodreads.com and the group is Babblers Who Read.
yaa for viajes!
so since there's no lickety today, where do I find a list?
neil has a list
molly usually has one as well
and vollymomdee
thanks viajes
once you get used to goodreads,it is great fun
Thats the beauty of the group I joined, Lilly. I am normally a chick-lit/funny book reader. But this group is forcing me out of that genre, and introducing me to new areas. and I am really enoying it.
i will read anything i can get my hands on!
lol,on my second weekly book now;)
hmm... none of the list people are online that I can see
i will be in there later viajes, too many windows open atm
I mean none of the people who have today's word list seem to be online for me to click on their profile
Search for them in the Rankings viajes
i am running babble, facebook, gardens of time fan page, vlc media player,c cleaner and avg antivirus lol
oh my
Thanks for that, guys. I just registered for Goodreads. :-)
hae 84 words left to find

neil makes a good one
oh well
I logged into Babble this evening for half an hour, to relax and unwind. Three hours later........I better go to bed! Good night, my babble friends, and once again, thanks for the company, the stimulation, and above all, the smiles. Nite!

Always glad to coeat a piece of cake with you Via. "I" get your fake word of the day. Operative word: FAKE
i will have to go and do some shopping there soon i think
my first day in the chat box everyone was making up fake little words... there was a "let" so people were coming up with "warlet" and "punlet" and other little things
mmm - something that means ea 5?
or share?
yes... but I made it up
I like your fake words....does that mean if two species of bird share the same home they co6?

Introducing, Via's Totally Fake, Made-Up Word Of The Day. It's not a real word. It does not exist in the grid. It's just a "for fun", made up word. Yay!
we are just making up words cybernan, to be silly
oh aye, where in suffolk?
lowestoft
ok, time for me to go home, see you all later!
bye sue
bye sue, tc
good night sue
oh - thought you were clueing manufactured words that are in the grid :)

*upset
i have good friends in new market
oh, I'm hauling about 3 pounds of exams home to finish grading, lilli, I'm still looking forward to not having to do this any more :-)
Tons of seemingly fake, made-up words in these grids. Co9 and pe9 come to mind.
(I may miss teaching but I will NOT miss grading)
where do you live now medusa?
touch was renewed.
sutton
Touch is the best thing that has hit television in a long time. I am not surprised.
mmm - don't have a pe 9
don't blame you on the grading sue!
so was 30 rock. but only for 13 seasons and its the final season too
what do you mean, Molly? co9 is when you sit next to each other and do math homework together. :P
ok pe9 hmmm lookng
The other co9 Via.
and pe9 is when you post short updates online while on the toilet
sorry medusa, you said earlier. my memory is not too good!
hmm... no, I think pe9 is the result of that action
lol nce clue ty
Oh God, and people probably do that, on the toilet. How sad.
how many do you have left medusa?
oh, I looked that one up, Molly -- it's a skunk, supposedly
lol - great clue
83 left
but I think it's a thick sauce-like thing that you put on crackers, made out of pine co4s
there is a pe 6-7 as well that reminds me of making jam

If it is a monument, we call it The Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier.
usually a obelisk style structure with the names of the soldiers who died in the world wars inscribed -- somewhere in just about every town in the country
we have it here molly. in london is a bigger one but we have them all over where we put poopies on nov 111 to remember our fallen servicemen and women
Haha, I hope they are poppies and not poopies : )
and the band and lone piper plays and the mayor lays a wreath and so does the honorary mother and every other dignitary and service organization around
got them at last nan! thanks
ah no...i did it again....no poppies!!!
now have 80 left
In canada -- In Flanders Fields is always read or sung
now I need to find the ce 9 that begins with a penny
we have the tonb of the unknown soldier and i think it in st pauls cathedral?
I think it refers to multiple snake letters on the penny (in my made-up definition)
theres a ce9 with the penny? i have a ce8
oh yeah, it's just an 8
mmmm - have to see if I can find us penny
ce8 is ce, american coin ans pl opp of no

Yes it is, cute clue. : )
lol ty
having just moved into a new neighbourhood, my new neighbour and I decided we would landscape together (we were much younger then). The plants arrived and we spent the morning planting shrubs at her place. We had just finished and settled ourselves on the front step with a bottle of beer when two reps from some church or other came down the street, bibles in hand. They took one look at us and actulally crossed the street, continued to come down our way and crossed back again after passing us by! --- I guess they thought we were beyond redemption!
What a stinky word ..
lol nan!
Great story Nan!
Ha!
you were too good for them nan :)
incoming ph. call - brb
hahahahahaha nan!
still looking for that other co 9 - any clues please?

And good evening, all
hi wht
Ooo, there are chips and salsa in here too.
Mmmm!
hi wht and hi to all, just stopping in to say hi as I finish up.. one of those crazy days
howay molly, is that proper chips, fried or crisps?
hi aloy
Blue corn chips for the salsa.
And some guacamole on the side.
so, it's not potatoes sliced thick and fried...that is a proper chip...what you eat are crispd!! :)
*crisps
But with salsa and guacamole, these are corn and not potato.
c's conquered
then they are corn crisps :)
yay wht
You know, sometimes I think it's a wonder that we folks on either side of the Atlantic can communicate. So many different words for the same things.
i will not back down on this.....we have proper chips...your chips are our crisps!
Your chips are our fries. So there, neener.
we have big chunky sliced potatoes, which are chips
no, you have little thin things!!
and chips came frome ireland and the uk first!!
If they are big and chunky, what are they chips of, hmmm? Chips are thin. So there. : P
you have fries...which are thin things.....you call chips...our crisps as in packets!!
You have no graham crackers. I rest my case. : P
cos we have chunky chips!! and beefeater chips!!
who wants any...lol
packets are mail boats. Fries are french. chips go with dips.
Go ahead then, eat your dreary digestive biscuits. : D
go away jwr..lol
okay cookie
No, you can stay around jwr. Set her straight. : D
children, children - british or american lets not fight!
biscuits with butter and honey
there's nowt wrong with digeatives...ever tried one??? they are good crusshed up on the bottom of a cheesecake!!
what are digestive biscuits?
we're back to graham crackers (oh no -- crackers are for christmas!)
well p[oodle can fight your corner!! not!! lol :)
they're crackers (the ones that don't come from Georgia) (which is in the eastern part of Europe anyway)
ok, done on this non chat day for me.. anyone need a clue before I scoot?
they are a sweetish biscuit. i like them as i don't have a sweet tooth but if i want something with a bit of sugar i will eat one
51 please aloy :)

Nowt? Off to the PB with you Miss Chips!
you can have a digestive with a bit of cheese on top
ok liliann.. np (-:

Okay note: This is all in good fun between Lilliann and I. Before someone goes posting on Facebook that we were fighting. Yee Gods.
I could use a clue for the co's? the larger ones :)
*walking to pb*
are we not?? mmm.... lol
no, me and molls aren't. i love her to bits :)
Hey Lilliann, if you want to feed the Babble gossip mill, that is fine with me. It runs on it's own anyway, with or without us. : P
oh ok, are we fighting like?
co 8/60 looks like it might indicate that two things should be considered the same.
have i done something i don't know about?
co + quadratic *****ion, add a vowel and then pl for co8.60 and co 9.78
Gilbert and Sullivan clue. Extra points for Aloy
Nope, not at all Lilliann. You keep on being you, you're the best. : D
thank you aloy and wht!
co + bend your k**e and *** the dog on the head + vowel and then pl for co 8>50 and co9.66
is the et5,18 an alternate spelling for our fried the needle case?
or friend
do you know what molly, i don't give a toss anymore!! i am who i am and if people don't like it then don't talk to me, which, actually, some don't, but i'm not bothered!
no, wht.. just add a word that means little in Scotland
ty!
yay, glad it helped Magyk
<--- would always talk to lilli
ty molly, you too :)

hi sue:) will always talk to you too
bye aloy tc
bye, aloy!
that's a good word...schlepping
bye Aloy!
Lilliann, I don't give a toss either.
when i was young, i worried about what people thought about me, but now i'm over 40, i've got to the point you can think what you like...at the end of the day, i am who i am...i know that i'm a good person, i know that i will go out of my way for others and will love my daughter and hubby forever and fight for them to the death and my family...that's all that matters!!
yay molly!!
I'm right there with you Lilliann. I actually feel sorry for people who make it their business to say nasty things about other people. What a sad way to live one's life.
exactly molly, they are just jealous! i feel sorry for people that don't have our lives and want them, i wish i could give all the good people in the worls what they wanted
but sadly i don't have a magic wand, and at times i feel guilty for what i have
I used to be very self conscious until i heard "you wouldn't worry so much about what people thought of you if you realized how little they do". So true! everyone is worried about what you think of them to worry about what they think of you!
clue for the last pe7,32 please.
Good point GE.
thats quite true good!!
sorry wht, i don't have it
Duh. It is the plural of the pe6.21.
I once heard "whatever anyone thinks of you is none of your busiiness."
i do...it's like leather shoes
oh, or is it?
*Hands Wht another beer*
ahh, thick moment agsain... i'm looking at pa!!!
ty Molly. I am thinking good things about you.

Another good point, PC.

Damn Harry, you figured out the other co8/9 all on your own? Brainiac. : D
pa8 is past tense of pa6 before it
pa8,50 is what you did with your invention
impressive harry :)
hah it's from the list
TY harry!
(trying to remember who played them in that movie)
cool. thanks wht
Ha, men clue that word with "invention" women clue it with "shoes"
Who played who in what movie?
There are too many t's in this grid.
i think it was jane curtain who played the mom, in that mmovie about alien co8s
Oh, the co4heads. Dan Akroyd was the Dad.
dan aykroyd
ah yes. been a long time
Mmm, beer and fried chicken embryos.

HH, I was told it was sc4,5ish for small
I am returned... are you talking about the movie Hostel?
oh! silly me :)
Does that make you a return journey, viajes?
yes sorry.. ju st came on tv
I have never seen it, so I shouldn't judge, but... I do.
Isn't that basically torture porn?
the first yes the sequel had more of a plot
wht: I think it means I didn't fit right or I wasn't what they really wanted, so they returned me
woohoo just monkeyed the pe8/9 silly bird
wow, I don't know if I can find 33 words like this... I had a longstanding plan to "drink whisky" with my friend Loren, and it just happened...
I know I am getting punchy when I start with the bilingual puns.
HarryHood: my made up definition for that one is that it's a short message you send out online while on the toilet
hah! good oen
*Makes popcorn to watch Via find 33 words, liquored up*
63 left and have no desire to manually list
it will get pretty boring pretty quick, Molly
there may be snoring involved
they sell movie popcorn at the stores now.. bought a bag and it tastes like the movies
64 left
Manual listing bores me right out of finishing most big grids.
clue for the first ve6,27. The one after sells.
agreed so i dont do that for big grids
the listing becomes as big a challenge as finding the words...
how different is movie popcorn from any other stale popcorn with fake butter in it?
idk.. i prefer stale popcorn myself
I agree Gwen
Hey, both words describing the spider are in the grid today.
if i make microwave popcorn i dont eat it til the next day
Oh let us not get into the age old argument as to whether it's those words or itsy bitsy
all hands up for stale popcorn!
is that an alternate version of the spider song? I did not know
wait its not itsy bitsy?
I think of yellow bikinis
ah ok i see now
ty for the spider words guys
me neither vias
with polka dots, viajes
It IS itsy bitsy. Anyone who says otherwise was improperly schooled.
i agree moly.. never heard it any other way
I make popcorn the real way, on the stove. Nothing smells better.
hey do u use a cast iron skillet? a friend does and i have no idea how to do that
found the spider words, t-y'alls
Molly, I will agree with you on the chips, but this one can go either way for me.
cosdem, the secret is to put some cooking oil in there first
Ethiopian friend roasts coffee on the stove -- that is the best smell ever
Fireworks.
yeah i figured but how do you contain it with it not flowing over
congrats wht
Last word was ve + what is smelling the popcorn.
ty wht
you have to have one of those screens that's pig enough to go over a fryin' pan

V's are victorized!

Something must be done.
of course we dont!!
agreed, Molly
we have salted, sugar and caramel

*Says prayers for all of the folks deprived of cheese popcorn*
qu/5 is a chess piece.
and in the cinemas, we only get sugar otr salted
wait.. no cheese popcorn?
omg im sorry
I WANT CHEESE POPCORN!!
last word - can any1 pls clue ce8/55?
No, not at the movies/cinema. In bags, like your so called crisps.

we only get the caramel popcorn in bags
tyvm vias
oops, that was qu + past tense
not =
ne5/16
cheese popcorn is the best.... i love these big tins at christmastime
I like white cheese popcorn the best
No graham crackers (which means no s'mores) and no cheese popcorn. *Lights a candle and says a Novena*
never had cheese popcorn but i so have to look out for it now
there are no graham crackers in UK either?
I am learning so much today...
ce8 is a memorial which we celebrate tyhe lives of the fallen harry
available at the chips aisle in food stores in the US
not seen them but dont mean a thing! lol
no, we don't have grehams crackers
No, they have (dig this) digestive biscuits which are so NOT graham crackers.
very strange... that was always our snack food in kindergarten. Milk and graham crackers.
don't diss our digestives molly!! :)
what are digestive biscuits?
Go eat your potato wedges, Lilliann! : D
they are the biscuits used for the base of a banoffee pie
how many types of dheese popcorn do you have?
and what is a banoffee pie?
I was in Kenya on a bus trip and we stopped and people said we should get some chips, and then french fries arrived... and I thought, DUH via, the bus was on the left side of the road, what did you expect?
grahame crackers are a type of digestive biscuits -- invented originally to help you digestion, i mean
the best dessert ever!
lill we have a lot of gourmet popcorn here so theres a lot
i don't eat potato wedges!!. that's american!! :))
ah duh thanks gwen..
i had potato wedges tonight!
mm...i wouldn;t put gourmet and popcorn together!! :)
love potato wedges!
in the old days, white bread was also eaten to help your digestion, not for "nutrition" value
Call them chips Cos, or Lilliann will snap at you. : P
shhh medusa!!
lol
lmao!
done.....thank you morewords for that ce8 :)
i hate banoofee pie!!
See Lilliann. Even your own people are outing you. Neener, neener.
what is banoofee pie?
ve 6/27 following sells, please?
It has bananas in it Cos. That is all I need to know to make me gag.
potato wedges aren't chips
add what's in the middle of your face, nan
love bananas!
me too!
banoffee pie is a biscuitbase with a layer of caramel toffee,a layer of banana and topped with fresh cream
Bananas are one thing Lilliann and I agree on.
oh that sounds delish
<--loves bananas, not "is a biscuitbase..."
it is so nice!
i love making grilled banana sandwiches
ty harry
ewwww...bananas are awful!!
nequa
oops!
all this talk of bananas is making me bananas
I have some in my kitchen.... but they are green
i'd love to go to kenya viajes
but saying that i do like dried bananas
(no, i do not like bananas either)
I can't even force myself to eat bananas because I know they are healthy food. They are just ick.
I just got some dried banana chips on sale... they had artificial banana flavor in them. That scares me.
wow i thought bananas were universally loved
I think they are, for the most part Cos.
but saying that i do like dried bananas
so Molly and Lilliann are not part of the universe?
too moist and taste awful and smell bad. nuff said
hi all
lol smell bad? ok.. thats interesting
should i sign up for goodreads?
night

ye the doonesbury guy
ah hes great
gary trudeau?
not to worry i doubt i want to stay up that late!
i had a great day today!
well it's nearly 03.40am here :)
good meeting with an ally and set up meeting in june with other religious lobbyists and meeting in november. . . . i feel like i am on a roll
medusa, you're up late
Glad to hear you had a great day JMC. Well deserved.
WHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEE *rolls across chog*
i am most nights. i dont sleep normal hours
ouch! you rolled over my foot!
ty molls
neither do i
oh so so sorry viajes!
me 3
jm, what are you lobbying for?
do you need some ice?
nah, I'm fine
see profile book
I do trapeze! I'm always covered in bruises.
She's lying. She is probably Babbling on the trapeze.
then how did i rollover her foot?
never, Molly! My computer is way more delicate than me; I'd be afraid of it falling.
oh well there you see?
jmc -- SWEET!!!! is that a new job?
Sure. She says she can curl up and sleep on the trapeze. Babbling would be cake next to that.
EXCELLENT!! sending you all my best wishes, jm!!
sort of i made the org up myself. . . got tired of looking for the perfect job so just created it
if I fall asleep in lion-in-a-tree pose, I might drop the computer
i will be passing a hat around later. . . i will be here all week folks!
I approve, jmc :D
Lion in a tree pose, down dog pose - so many poses, so little understanding of any of them.
ty ty *swirls in sparkly cape* (stiddie gave me the sparkles)
i myself would support a law that would remove all private money from elections, and restrict campaigning to 3 months prior to the election, and making election day a local (or national) holiday. SO THERE
i do down dog pose for my back
well one thing at a time book, one thing at a time!
corruption is for the rich!
haha i have met lots of corrupt poor people!
corruption is for the corrupt!
It is Gwen, and so far, the rich are in charge of everything. *Sigh*
if you see a dog stretching, Molly, that is down dog pose
we have county officials in my area (I'm in the next county by about 1 mile) so corrupt it's disgusting
poor and corrupt? then you're not doing it right LOL
omg, I would love to restrict campaigning... all news ever reports on is how things affect elections, instead of on whether any of it is actually, you know, good policy
stuff the news. listen to air america. watch the daily show. read.
there is dog yoga, I heard. But only in goofy cities like LA and NY
haha you have a point book
I'm a journalist Gwen. Or rather I would be if there were any jobs out there that actually did, you know, journalism
and colbert--native son of the district of columbia
he was born in DC? I did not know that...
isn't it quaint to see old movies and tv shows where people watch their tv news and hear something relevant? when's the last time that happened??
he said so one of the times he had Eleanor Holmes Norton on his show
So I went to the Medill School of Journalism for grad school... it has now been renamed the Medill School of Journalism, Marketing and Communications or something like that. True story. :'(
sad viajes
talk about blurring the line!
56 words left!
I hear you there, viajes.
communication is okay but marketing is just sad
Both to being a journalist and unemployed.
I'm even okay with marketing, as long as they understand that their job is NOT the same as journalism...
had lunch today in a restaurant where Faux News was on the tv. so glad the sound was off!
Faux News! Someone else who calls it that. :) lol
should not be the same department
haha i make them change it the rare time it is on the tv in the gym
Fox News hurts my soul
we used to have laws that would have prevented Faux News from putting any of their shit on the air. remember those days?
Don't blame you jmc.
I do not, Gwen... which laws? I am curious genuinely.
the good thing about living in DC is not very many people who actually LIVE in DC watch it
one was called equal time for opposing viewpoints (or something like that).
I trolled Dan Gainor a little while ago... he asked for it.
I took my surname off my Twitter page first and changed my pic to Calvin of "Calvin & Hobbes".
Then I trolled Rick Santorum too... might as well while I was at it, I figured.
*remembers she is supposed to be looking for words, not discussing media politics*
we also used to have truth in advertising laws. remember the ginsu knife lawsuit? all about the phrase "cuts through a tin can"
well the law still exists as far as i know but they get around it by making it "news" and then occasionally having plastic men represent the "other" view
*or at least doing both at the same time*
Didn't Faux "News" abandon plans to broadcast in Canada because they do have truth in reporting laws?
no, the repugs repealed it, although i'm not sure exactly when
repugs, haha, haven't heard that one
Hmmm ok.
interesting
the people who wanted it repealed are teh same people who own 90% of the media in this country
Faux News should be shut down for fraud, also, because it is not news. or perhaps it is maybe 2% news. which is not enough to count.
*once again thinks, 'huh? that's not a word!'*
well, i'm too tired to play anymore, gonna say bye-dee-bye
get used to it viajes
Am I invisible or something? Just wondering.
<-- definitely does not see negativeneil
sweet dreams Book Doc
no. why do you ask? no all remarks are commented on
nite gwen. sweet dreams and tc :)
bye book
Huh? They weren't, that's why I was asking.
Unless I'm missing something. Which could be.
sometimes it goes too fast to comment on everything
well i had nothing to say about what you said. . .that happens
especially post-whisky-and-wine
Haha, viajes... just saw your "definitely does not see" comment. :P
<-- definitely did not hear that
Yep. True enough... viajes and jmc.
Whisky and wine combined?
consecutive
Oh ok.
okay i have had enough post speech fun. . .i am off to sleep!
Which was first? The wine, I'm guessing?
145 left *poof*
Sweet dreams jmc.
nite jmc tc hin
wine before whiskey awfully risky
no, now is wine.
night jmc
Haha.
sweet dreams jmc
whiskey before wine, mighty fine
You're a poet and you know it.
*repoof*
i need hot chocolate! :)
ooh, I always heard "liquor then wine, everything's fine; wine before liquor, never been sicker."
Oh. Did you have to mention that?
And we don't have any here... dammit.
repoof sounds like an enable word
check the PB! flooded with hot chocolate.
It does kinda... how about poofer?
One who poofs.
poofter was a word once
Oh yeah. Duh. Forgot about that.
I believe it is... seen it before.
A time or two.
*steps in PB hot chocolate* now my socks are wet and sticky
Glad I don't have to do your laundry.
did i upset you about hot chocolate neil?
but if I remember correctly, poofier was not a word.
You just made me want some, Lilliann.
poofter is a rude english term from England
yes, but enable takes it, ruru!
If that was a word, what would it mean? It makes me think of an afro. Bigger, " poofier" hair?
poofier is newt gingrich
Hey ru!
i'm going to have to make myself some hot chocolate
Haha! Yeah... that works. ;)
hi neil
btw, today's Viajes' Fake Made-Up Not-in-the-Grid Word is: co5, when you share food with someone
I just had a hot chocolate.. how weird
poofier is more hair in english
Coeat? :P
*sings X-files theme song for ruru*
Do you make up a fake not in the grid word each day, viajes?
lovely ruru,care to share :)
I can show you "poofier" hair, Lilliann.
Give me a few. Haha.
I have been for three days, neil, but people keep getting confused and looking for it in the grid, so I had to rename it today
it'n not more hair but more fluffier
I think "not-in-the-grid" is an essential part of the title
i bet you can neil, but keep it to yourself!! lol :)
Now I warn you this is pretty bad: http://tinyurl.com/7ch7lv7
too much rap music neil
[Me in college days, rocking the Jew 'Fro.]
that is pretty poofy
Yep. You see why I keep the hair buzzed off pretty short huh?
Otherwise it just kinda takes over... the world.
poofter isn't rude as such ruru but it means gay
how come your brothers hair is straight?
It isn't. It's wavy... not really curly.
it is rude lillian
But you know... hairstyling.
if hair took over the world, do you think it would be a good leader?
it would get to the root of the world's problems via
You could probably even straighten mine, with enough effort... might take all day, or a week. lol
Well it couldn't be any worse than some we have now, viajes.
Oh man, ruru... that's bad. So bad. :P
lol
:D
Trust you!
in other news... hint on es5 or es7?
<--can't help himself
His natural hair would probably surprise you ru.
es 5 like a scarf
http://tinyurl.com/8293aeo
or a r short of a high end hooker
I mean the color... it's straightened of course.
ty ruru! especially the second clue, cuz the first just made me think, "fluffy?"
wow .. his hair is brown
Auburn/ginger.

He's 2 years and 11 months older... to the day.
oh...

you look closer in age
Him: 01/29/'82. Me: 12/29/'84.
so either he's keeping it together or you look more mature ...lol
Gee, thanks... I think?
Trying to tell me I look old for my age?!
oh..you parents had sex a lot in the winter
your
(I can't even imagine my parents having sex)
Spring, you mean.
I think they probably did ru.
Just a wild guess.

That's the one thing you can't do on an iPod. I think you can do just about everything else on one. lol
they did good.. two ultra talented kids
Oh, maybe not your dishes either.
needle case is etui... not in grid... very confused...
No. Those things don't do dishes... dammit.

Ok flipper.

He does. A dog.
Dylan the dog.

Hmm... modern fairytale: the princess and the ipod nano

I was a sub for ESL class this morning, and it was all about superlatives and comparisons... tidy, tidier, tidiest... and then I come on here and say "most tidy"
n's done!
I made them compare me with the regular teacher. "John is taller than viajes... Viajes is prettier than John..."

Geez. Who would want more than one? lol

:)

Water until flip is my suggestion.
For what it's worth. Who wants to miss flip?
[that being said I miss it a lot]
it's true... but it's a long time to wait...
Yeah, kind of.
I will take shower and brush teeth and see how much time/energy is left...
