Other than that - we broke a spring on the trailer somewhere between Penong and Port Augusta. Finally got it sorted in Mildura at 2.00am. And.. an eagle took out our wing mirror just before the SA border. So fun trip all round!!

only 5 layers....have photos of himself, in siberia ( bass strait stand) in full bike gear, plus water-proofs, plus beanie under fleece-lined hood, plus SUNGLASSES.
On the Nullabor the eagles are huge. There was an excessive amount of road kill (kangaroos) and so in the morning there was aprolific number of eagles. It just took off backwards then turned straight into us. We were lucky for it not to break windscreen.

At world supers in Feb, the tyres weren't lasting on hot track so they decided to user harder tyres for PI only - didn't think about change of weather obviously.

oh, dear, did not know that. My mom's the same way, but in her mind, as soon as she dislikes something, she calls it an allergy. she's always been like that, lol. doc told her not to eat nuts (colon trouble) so suddenly she's allergic to them.
so Mom decided she doesn't like bananas any more, after eating them for decades, and now she'll tell you she's allergic to them. *eyeroll*

John likes his twice-a-month trips there, but would hate to give up his house in Austin
he lives on the river, so there is a deep ravine behind his deck, full of trees, very beautiful and a little bit wild

Austin is def the prettier of the two, and more moderate politics, and good nature stuff to do. Houston has better restaurants, arts, urbane stuff. Maybe he can get the best of both.

Okay, that's just gross.
I spoke with someone who had a slice yesterday. He commented that he enjoyed taking a bite with some bacon in it, alternating with a bite of the salted caramel base.
The pie itself looks great. But bacon should not be candied and doesn't belong on sweet things.
I dunno, molly, i rather liked chocolate covered bacon. good mix of savory and salty and sweet.
I'm not a fan of those three things combined.
