the base is a meringue, then filled with fruit and whipped cream, or filling such as lemon curd, etc

yes jilli. the slow adding of the castor sugar, whipping until the mixture has a sheen to it, and a very slow bake on a low temperature. above all, do not remove from oven until oven is completely cold.

my son starts back tomorrow... well...excitment has been dulled..my step mother is in hospital...and its bad...heart ftning @20%, 2 leaking valves....on O2 and being fed intravenously....its very difficult b/c she is why i didnt have a good relationship with my dad...and she has tried to make sure i get nothing from my father's things

I just wondered...facing cancer is so tough, but with a broken heart on top of it...I can only imagine. But I think it would almost be a relief if your partner wasn't supporting you that they left and then you could just give yourself what you needed and not expel any extra energy on their crap.

my husband had a cancer too, 2 years ago but it was about as mild as it gets. he just had his annual check up scans and was supposed to get the results the week before last, and then his doctor moved his appointment to oct 19! argh.
even took me home from the hospital knowing i had a blockage and needed surgery, left me on the couch and walked!!

well sc, my understanding is that they won't tell you results over the phone because they don't want to tell bad news on the phone and they also don't want you to know, if they won't tell me on the phone that means it's bad news, so they won't tell any news other than face to face

the gene for dystrophy is apparently adjacent to the gene for white...( as in muscular dystrophy )...i got from the lab... when i worked at the research lab in university...
I loved having hamsters as pets but I stopped several years ago because I was tired of them dying. My pet cemetery has at least 2 dozen hamsters.

Tucker had the abscess, Ata. He is back to himself and the abscess is almost healed up. I gave up trying to get the antibiotic pills into him. He was stressed and fighting and spitting out the pills. I will restart if the infection does not resolve soon.

I just went full time, and my current leave time is not enough to take all those hours off. It was part of the agreement when I went full time though.

well, certainly lots of fruits and veggies are always good
eat what you want every other day and 500 cal on the off day,lots of lean protien and veggies and fruit
whole grain/ancient gram breads but very limited
i use that on my off days cause i can use 2 slices of brown bread,turkey slices,tomato and lettuce with a tbs of mayo and add a fresh piece of fruit and all the celery i like and still come in under 500 cal
That's sort of what I do to maintain my loss...3 days a week no simple carbs...and overall, not many to begin with....

when i mused out loud how nice and clean and orderly my no 3 daughters house was, ( she is a natural born slob and hates to clean ) she fessed up. she had mentioned to her husband that seeing him "putter around the house" aroused her . she is a great business woman and manages a property management company, but he manages theirs... she does like to garden though and mows the lawn and paints the house when needed-lol
