sounds very nice

thanks dart and Dee

love art fairs, especially with local artists on display
exactly halfway now
they actually had some pretty nice stuff
water colors, oils, both?
lots of artists here
looks like a place artists would like jilli
it seems so
lots of galleries too
volley...one of the things we bought was from a lady that took black and white photographs and then enlarged them and painted in color over them...was a ne4 effect
have seen that done on greeting cards on a smaller scale... very lovely
oh, my b/w photographer son would gasp at that

how are you doing, rose?
promise you won't laugh?
I'll try not to.
today is hydro day, and this is the best i have felt for 2 weeks. (remember when i first st5ed hydro?)
sure do... wasn't a fun time in the beginning
well, on hydro days i allow myself to take the oxycodone.....didn't realise just how well that drug was working. today did my entire program, and only winced twice.
wow, really impressive! Bet that really made you feel encouraged!
it sure did, dee. i do a side lunge exercise, to stretch the muscles all the way up to my groin....when i lunge the other way, my knee has to bend to allow a stretch on the opposite leg. today my knee was on the floor of the pool. which means a flexion over 110 degrees.
incredible!
lol, dee, never thought it was going to happen.
oh, dee, did you look at the feasibility of using anatrin for your FM?
I knew it would :). Two of my friends who have had knee replacements experienced similar feelings and problems... one of them called it "hitting the wall"...
I sent the info to my two doctor friends, who are aware of my allergy issues... will see what they say.
everything crossed for you, dee. and lots of prayers that you too can use it to get some relief, as i have.
Thanks! Sure never hurts to check things out.
How was mother mac's visit to her daughter's?
i understand, dee. i was diagnosed as allergic to the 21st century years ago. i'm allergic to plastic, gas(even natural gas), petrol, plus so many foods and meds. i'm supposed to live in a bubble, if you know what i mean.
they both survived, and Don and i had a wow of a weekend.
how WOW of a w/end...LOL
ummmm really GOOD quality time together. *giggle* lord, i do so love this man. we went out for coffee/chocolate, lunch, a movie, dinner.
LOL good for you both xx
i was actually able to relax in church, instead of waiting for a call to hurry home again.
How did you overcome all of those allergies?
You should plan those a little more frequently.
dee, it's strange. i was tested at one of our major teaching hospital's allergy clinic. the director herself took an interest in my case. after all the tests came back, she looked at me.( the results were not good, positive as i said to so many things) then gave me a prescription for my first epipen of adrenaline, said " go and live your life to the full, enjoy it" and i have never looked back.
good outlook
yes, i still have reactions, the latest when i had my surgery, and they gave me a common antibiotic which is used as a prophylaxis to post-op infections. of course, yours truely swelled up, broke out in giant urticaria.
I am allergic to almost all antibiotics, so I can totally relate; it sucks
another one on an already long list. lol. i had my anaphylaxis kit( tabs, epipen) beside me in my bedside cupboard. i rang my buzzer, took the meds, and when my poor harried nurse arrived, i told her what i had taken. fortunately, didn't have to use the adrenaline. HATE the adrenaline.
so very fortunate; those reactions can be so dangerous... go from bad to worse way too quickly.
but the comfort of knowing i don't have to WAIT for medical help, i have it with me 24/7, helps me to relax and enjoy my life.
do you carry an epipen, dee?
great idea... a pharmacist friend told me that with antibiotics, the allergy can actually be to the "fillers"... not even the antibiotic itself.
no, I have never had that bad of a reaction; carry benadryl... but this last year have wondered if they are getting worse... some foods cause me to itch now
yup, so true. would you believe i am allergic to the propellant in a ventolin puffer? found that out the hard way.
that would have been a pain... I found out last year I was allergic to brewer's yeast used as a filler in a folic acid capsule... now have a lot of my meds compounded to make sure I don't have that again
i also carry a pill container with 50mgs prednisolone( hydrocortisone) and an antihistamine.
our bodies sure make life interesting.... very smart!!!
brewer's yeast....that one gave me a migraine, diarrhoea and vomiting....great combo...thought i was going to die that night.
Well, I ne to get going for now; so glad you are making such great strides now!! Yipes! I bet you did.
Big huge hug being sent your way!
nite volley
Nite, dart!!
*giggle* loves ya dee. night, sweetheart. hope you have a good sleep and awake refreshed.
You, too!!
sorry, dart. dee and i te4 to monopolise the chog. all well with you, mate?
np...still plodding along down to 4 left now...doing well
you surely are, dart. well done.
2 now :)
mentally holding breath here.
:)
fw....san list last was a plural :(
WTG DART!!!!! phew, glad i wasn't physically holding my breath. LOL
dart you are a legend. just amazing!!
you would be a world champ underwater swimmer if you could hold it that long lol
forgot the s on sans....lol that is what i needed on the tu5
hmmmm, remember reading/seeing something about native pearl divers. how long they stayed underwater.
think i saw something on that...they are amazing
well, my dear, almost at the end of a very long day. hydro days start at 6:15am, and it's nearly 5:30pm. with the drugs on board....i think you catch my drift.
take care granny...i'm off too i think
night, buddy. hope you have a good one. see you at the flip.
thx...you too...see you at the next flip :)
good morning? anybody?

good morning all
hello, sprite! :)
hey rbud :) And ruby!
just hit the wrong key and lost babble for a minute
bonjour sprite!!
bonjour ma belle amie!
not tres belle this morning!
and Mr. Hyde is back
tu es jamais belle
he's in and out of his bad moods like the clouds passing
was that correct? jamais = always? or never?
jamais = never
toujour = always
yeah, it is to be expected, ruby. He is so old. And it is so hard for him to reach out and show what he really needs. Don't let him bully you though!
but I knew what you meant lol
tu es toujours belle!
I just said "no need to speak to me like that" and just walked away
merci, mon amie
very good! That is exactly it. *hugs*
getting carpet put in Tues. AM in the new bedroom, finally, yay! starting to get excited.
it may sound stupid, but he really needs to feel your limits, ruby. So he can limit himself somewhere. Am happy you do it.
rbud, how nice :D
what color, rbud
welllll.... sort of dusty rose.
maybe he's feeling anxious about his daughter's visit
oh sounds good. What colour is your furniture there?
ooh, love dusty rose (good with rbud lol)
hope it goes with the paint - if not, c'est la vie! ;p
ruby: yes, I think he is. It wasn't so pleasant for him last time, if I remember correctly. And he is at a stage where every break in his routine is hard on him.
it will go with the paint.
but, at the moment, I'm taking care of Fr taxes, renewal of Cartes de Sejour, new car arriving, health insurance, bank statements, etc., none of which he knows anything about. And HE'S feeling anxious? Please
but he was so anxious about having her come to visit that he immediately paid for her ticket
go figure!
I'm glad she's coming, though, and have arranged for her to walk through a nature preserve with a guide as part of her "treats"
I am not sure about the furniture, it's natural wood, but I want to paint the headboard off white and glaze the high points darker, never done anything like it, ready to try. if it goes well, may do the dresser too.
lol ruby... yeah, it all comes on your shoulders. That is taxing. And vexing, grin. *extra hug* for you. Ah and you know that paying for stuff is kind of his way to show affection. I wish I could make this easier on both of you... I should live nearer.
feeling creative. :)
oh rbud, that sounds awesome! Go for it.
just call me the paperwork queen NOT!
you are definitely an organiser, ruby, so you can be a paperwork queen if you need :D
yes, I think you need an extra (((hug))), too, ruby, you are too good.
rbud, I missed what color are the walls
I am not so good and certainly not talented at paperwork but somebody has to do it and I guess I've been elected, at least by default. But when he denigrates what I accomplish, then I'm ready to give him a smack!
and you should. Don't take crap from him, he has no right to make you feel bad or inferior. And you cannot let him take out his frustration on you. No matter how logical it is he feels frustrated by his limitations.
but, of course, I don't....he's still stronger
walls are the same as the carpet, but several shades lighter, ceiling off white, new window and door trim all off white - I'm not decorating it for the old man, lol, it's for me. :D
and more fish have died
if any of the wood colors or off whites seem to be too bright, you can always apply a little rose with a sponge for an antique-y effect
rbud - it sounds so pretty and cozy. A great place to sleep and... well... read :D
song running through my head, as it often does when my hubby gets picky and crabby - "you always hurt the one you love"
lol ruby, nah, slugging it out is not the way, I fully agree. Fish dieing will be hard on him too. He cannot handle frustration very well.
oooh, good idea, ruby, will remember that - had thought I might tint the headboard paint just ever so lightly pink, too, might do so.
so true, rbud.
as my mother used to say "25 years of art school had to be worth something" LOL
she'd say that when I was mixing powder paints for my little students
hehehe your home is so beautiful, ruby, that art school totally payed off
oh btw, my son finally apologised today for his rudeness. And the poor boy is ill - just put him to bed for more sleep.
but it grows shabbier day-by-day. needs new wallpaper and paint - dog-wear and housekeepr-wear
it was beautiful when it was first remodelled
yeah well, that may be the case, ruby, but it still looks very good. And you don't need the extra work and mess.
or the expense at the moment!
I have to confess I like to be able to see a house is being lived in. A showroom is beautiful, but too cold to my taste.
ah yes, that too. It is all so very expensive.
baby dog (25 kg baby!) is still biting the wallpaper
lol... come on ruby, time to train the little monster!
it's been so long since this room got built, it's ridiculous. but the time (and money) has come, so finally getting it done.
you will enjoy it so much once it is done, rbud
it sounds like it will be beautiful, rbud.
Have you considered wallpaper in dusty rose and brown pattern or off-white and dusty rose, just for contrast
(small amounts)
The big reward will be when we move the living room into the old bedroom, which obviously used to be the front "parlor", and then move my tiny kitchen into the room we have been using as the living room. it will be twice the size, yay!
wooot! That is so great, to have room in your kitchen!
when we bought the house, it had a tiny, ark kitchen. I knocked out a wall, added a window and made two small rooms into one kitchen/breakfast room. Even added a fireplace.
dark*
I am considering just that sort of pattern/color for my curtains, ruby, so I'll get some in there. :)
perfect, rbud. I carried swatches around for two years while remodel was being planned and executed
ruby's kitchen is huge, with everything in its place, and it is utterly cozy. A great place to work and chat in.
sprite has a special chair!
so she can keep me company while I chop chop
tend
I've put up with my tiny kitchen for over 20 years since we moved in here, it's about time it got an upgrade.
whoops, sorry
yes I did :D Out of ruby's way but close to her to see and chat
am so happy for you, rbud. You earned it!
sounds lovely - hoping to finally have enough room for chairs all the way around a table, lol, instead of it squeezed against a wall.
now I'd better see to DH,. He's on his second Campari!
tell him I said hi and sent him a virtual hug.
I'd rather stay here where nobody is being nasty, even when I put words in the chog
you can handle him, ruby. Hold on to yourself. *hug*
*poof*
I know what you mean, rbud. We have the same thing, a small kitchen and we have to bring in the chairs after cooking. It is either cooking or sitting.
actually one of my kitchen chairs is my computer desk chair at the moment, will have to find another one when I can fit all four around the table full time.
*giggles* Every improvement has its downside...
an excuse to visit the second hand stores, love it! that and I'll need a new sofa. the old one's too old, and too long, too, to fit into the new living room setup.
I very much like shopping in second hand stores and finding treasures.
same here, can't bring myself to pay new prices - unless it's an appliance - now own the first brand new stove and fridge I've ever had.
well I'd better get myself out the door and into the shops to get groceries, or I will lose the courage. *hugs* to rbud and enjoy planning etc for the remodelling!
I need to get to bed, enjoy your day! :)
oh same here. Why pay a load of money when there is already somewhere a used one that is perfect for you. We do the same.
sleep well!
good morning everyone;)
{{+crossy}}
morning all
back, with the groceries. Sprite scores today! hiya crossy *hugs* Hi carlee
{{carelee}}
nice going, sprite
st Burt does the grocery shopping!
[[SPRITE ]] {{RUBY}}
that was supposed to be "at least" not saint lol
yeah, am proud of myself. And wtg for Burt, thta is one less task for you.
*giggles at St. Burt*
I DONT WANNA GO TO SCHOOL
correction.. I DONT WANNA DRIVE to school
whenever he says I don't do anything, I suggest that I do the shopping and he do the cooking, planning and kitchen cleanup
he gets quiet after that
why, carlee?
wazzup, carlee?
quiet is good.
well is an hour freeway drive each way
Scotty beam her up!
aaah, I can understand
there..nice cuppa tea;)
<-- doesn't like freeway driving anymore
but getting a new car on Monday, a tiny VW as mine is 15 yrs old. This time, I insisted on automatic transmission and aircon! Too old to shift
i want to stay in my room....
nice going, ruby!
*hugs carlee*
yaa for ruby and a nice new car!!
{{sprite}} thanks
oh very cool ruby
I draw lines and take a stand only when it's important. Otherwise, as I said before, I just walk away
what kind of vw?
it is a VW OP (or something), blue. I wanted red but B. wanted blue and it wasn't that important to me
the old one is a Lupo. I think the model names in Europe may be different from in Nol America
it has been kept outdoors for 15 yrs so the paint is peeling and it is generally yucky but it has fewer than 100,000 km
(60,000 miles)
lol,not many km,s for a 15 year old car
very good ruby...
yea in one year i put on 43 000 km
mind all freeway
the kia's pipes are all very clean :p
when i was with a construction firm in the 80,s i used to put 30,000 km a year on my old truck
when we moved here, we didn't think we'd ever need air con in a car, but there are plenty of days when it would be very nice to have
we only use it for out to lunch (in the village) or grocery shopping
husband has a little Audi for longer rides (which we no longer take.....)
i use air con often... i find when the windows are down...is like the air pressure bangs on my ears... like wubwubwubwubwubwub
I agree, carlee.
crossy has no ac in the car:((
and then there are my heated seats in winter...mind I used them the other morning
I also feel safer when the windows are closed and the doors are locked; you can take the city girl into the country, but you can never lose the city instincts
and carlee has a warm butt! haha
damn! brb!
no sugar in the tea? Or something serious?
sigh..kitten just ran down the hall carrying a banana he stole out of a basket on the table.i had to head him off at the pass
lolollllll wtg kitten!
that sounds very cute!
score one for kitten
would of made a cute pic i am sure
so.... 'boss'... can we now discuss why you are sitting behind that stupid thing in stead of playing with me? cuddling would be nice too.
but he is being an evil little sod today
Rufie ate a chicken bone from the kitchen trash the other day and I spent 3 days praying he'd be OK
time to go get myself together..hair dripping wet etc...hagd all
good luck, carlee. Will think of you. You are a hero.
{{carlee}} drive safely!
and keep that butt warm!
poor carlee, has blood as thin as tap water
she should be with red down in florida
the silly ne5/10 is in here
hm... silly ne5...
ne5 to you! lol
and now for a power lie-down!
*poof*
have a lovely nap, ruby
fireflies. Bye all!

Good morning!
hi car!
car!!
hey, car :-)
I have updated my icon to reflect my "fall" appearance...with my kitty "George" next to me!
Hello uusue! Hello Crossy! Hello Une!
aawww :-)
cute, car! :-)
It seriously took me an hour to figure out how to make it, but I did it!
My hair may be too dark though.
and it is now time for crossy,s tidbit of the day!!!'
Hooray!
Buddy Ebsen, known for his portrayal of Jed Clampett on the Beverly Hillbillies, was originally cast as the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz. However, he had to drop out of production when he discovered he was allergic to the silver make up required for the Tin Man.
I knew that one!!!!!!
yaa for carlee!!
i had heard that as well! :-)
then i best put one up you do not know...
The 1904 Summer Olympic Games, held in St. Louis, included greased pole climbing, rock throwing, and even mud fighting.
No! I just feel smart when I know one!!!!
ok, 65 to go -- am off to chow down on my Cheerios and strawberries -- BBL *poof*
Nice! I wonder why they took out those good sports?!??!
Bye Une!
brb...
just had to put "the leash of shame" on the kitten(7 months old) he is a bully to the other 2 cats and terrorizes them.what we do is clip a leash to his collar for him to grag around for a few hours and it turns him from alpha male cat of the jungle to a dangle toy for the other cats to chase around the house for an hour or 2
works quite well
drag
lol! our 3 year old male just grabbed the handle loop of the leash as the kitten went tearing by and made him come to a grinding halt;)
LOove it!
like i say it takes the spunk out of him draggin that leash around

I bet, Crossy.
it is a love/hate thimg
is the love part just money, or do you actually enjoy it? :)
crossy, what is your "connection" with tourists?
there are times when it is fun,but do all city people just toss garbage around like that?? that is the part i hate.them treating our parks and forests like a garbage dump
I think most jobs become mundane over time because one becomes proficient at all aspects. My job is usually not intellectually challenging because my experience has taught me so much.
There are just too many rude, thoughtless people with an attitude of entitlement
Not just tourists, Crossy
i don't think that's a city person thing. i don't know what thing it is but people like that irritate me too. i will throw apple cores out my car window, if passing a wooded area, but that's it.
anny ,i was in fuelindustry for 30 years, then some ministry of matural resources work
apple cores?? i have had to spend all afternoon picking up dirty diapers and used needles of the beach areas...nasty
ugh, that is nasty. yeah i would never leave anything non-biodegradable.
do not worry scrabby,i use a pick up tool and a sharps container
Phew, Crossy
hi again, just got off the phone with the clinic, sigh
hurshy, I was in the Everglades and threw an apple core out the window thinking an animal would find it and eat it. I was stopped by the park police and I was shocked that I broke a law. They let me go with a warning. I was so embarrassed.
omg, is it me or is this puzzle crazy? LOL - I can only find 4 m words - LOL
well i suppose apples aren't native to florida
i think this is a nice puzzle but the m's are the hardest.
hi sugr, I have 7 m words but it's been a struggle
hi sue, why the sigh?
well, I'm trying to get Frank in to see a doctor - there is a clinic in town for those without health insurance but they base their fees on your last year's tax return; he is in the middle of a divorce so last year filed jointly, and his wife had significant income (she has since lost her job)
Too many T's, E's
so he won't qualify for reduced-fee services even though he really has almost no income
red tape like that angers crossy suze
Grrr, Sue
yeah, no sh**, crossy

here,you need to see a doctor,you go,you need a specialist and appt is made,period

i am sorry hurshy,a place as modern as the states shacked by insurance health care
yeah, well, we're idiots.
people stepping over the bodies on the way to clinic.."why should i pay for him with my taxes"
We need to spend more on on health insurance than on "war" in Afghanistan.
true scrabby, that trillion would of got you universal health care
yes, scrabbs!!
the crazy thing, crossy, is that it's not JUST those people. it's actually people who can use the help and yet don't want it cause they are too wedded to the idea of self-reliance, or people who THINK they are self-reliant but don't realize that government is actually providing their medicare, etc.
and the waste of lives and monies spent on an unjustified war in Iraq. Shame on you, Bush!
It makes me so angry. Dead young soldiers, wasted money.
and maimed young soldiers.

Not an in-service day because Central Office is closed also.
Teachers don't get professional days off, only the students. That's when the teachers are meeting or doing other types of work.

help with un6 words pls
I have been trying to monkey that word since this morning.
do not lease
there are 2 un6 words and can't see them even with morewords
or cancel a lease
ty Knight
Hello KnightTime! How are you doing? Thanks for the un6!
i am fine - thanks
un 6/24 un + past tense of tread
got the other un6 - not walked upon
ty Kate
;)
If that s accepted as a word then U should be able to plural it as well. Another one of Enables stupid words and rules.
57 left, bbs
Goodbye periwinkle! I will see you later on in the chat log.
the un + "lease" one means not torn. So it is an adjective and thus not subject to pluralization.
Thanks for the explanation Knight Time.I should know that being an ESL teacher and all. *bows head down in shame*'
no need - just me showing off to boost my flagging self-esteem
At least you're honest about that Knight. : )
Phantom words for me are insturment and in5/10 + st5/10
Why is the weather chick wearing a kick pleat skirt like I wore in my Catholic school days? : O
hi again all!
Hi there uusue2! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog
hi min! I am ok. Sorry I stepped away for a bit.
It's okay to step away Sue, honest. : D
hi molly!
and now it is time for crossy,s quote of the day!!!

hi all,i've just started and it is late here, so is it a good grid?
i've not babbled for weeks and needed something to get my brain going...probably not a good thing to do at nearly midnight though....
hi lilli! First half wasn't too bad, I'm just about 2/3 through and have slowed to a crawl, though
Hello lillian! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log.
Maybe this will help uusue2......
I am almost finished with the grid so lets see if I can mu 6/24 up a story of clues for you guys. When I was in high school,I in6/21ed on becoming a nurse when I got older Afer graduating high school, I at 6/21ed medical school at John's Hopkins University and did my in6/18ship. But the ro 4/5 to becoming to nurse took a different tu4/5. It was then I decided NOT to become a nurse. Learning terms like st 5/10 and st 7/36 was quite boring to me. I also found out that te4/5ing to patients was not my cup of tea. Even though I wasted a lot of money on medical school, I did not give a do 4/5. I went back to school to become a teacher. After taking the required st 5/10 te 4/4s, I got my teaching degree.I was in di4/5 need of a job so I worked at a di 5/12 so I could pay my re 4/4. It took me ni4/4 months to get my very first teaching job. Although my ne4/4 pay is way less than a nurse's salary, I am happy with my job. I'm so glad that I tr 5/12ed my instincts to become a teacher. Hubby is being a tw 4/8. He has gotten into a sn 4/4 while waiting for the laptop and he is ti4/4d of waiting.I mu4/5 sure4/5er laptop to hubby so he doesn't cause a ri4/4. By the way, this story is not tr 4/5. I am going to go watch the movie "Nu4/5 on the Run". I'll back later on tonight to finish this grid.
well i have 49 so far so will probably slow down in the next 10 :)how's your retirement going sue? are you still doing work for the university?
they've hired me back, lilli, I'm a department chair in a totally different department!
and thanks for the story, min, working my way through it!
hi min, nice to see you.i will look through your story and thanks upfront for all your clues :)
oh great sue.does that mean you still get a pension and then extra money for working, because that is what companies do here apparently. i was speaking to my next door neighbour and he told me that a friend of his took early retirement because the company she was working for was looking for redundancies ,so she took it and got a good lump sum and her pension and now she works for them again with better pay and can choose the hours she works....go figure!
ti6/21 pls
yes, they can pay me enough so that my pension plus my pay equals my highest pay ever, so it's a good deal for both of us (I taught several courses on overload last year)
hi peri, sorry, i don't have that one yet
ti6.21 Rufus was one of these
Rufus?
got it, thanks
Ti6/21 guys who like breasts. Don't know who Rufus is.
hi lyn

un6 24 please :)
thanks molly and hi :)
Wainwright Molly...his father wrote and sung a song about him
un6 not walked on
sorry lyn, when you said rufus, i was thinking a dog's name lol
thanks lyn
I thought he was gay, which wouldn't exactly make him a ti6.
he was a baby
I am surprised you have never heard the song
that is great sue, and i bet you still love teaching...it didn't sound like you were quite ready to leave when you did retire and i know you still taught after
bye everyone - looks like an OK day here so had better go and enjoy it
I'm not that into Loudon Wainwright.
goodnight lyn.tc
have a good day, lynxxx!
my bairn and me went to see my husband this weekend in scotland and had a good guide(my hubby) showing us around glasglow and especially edinburgh and i learn alot and thoroughly enjoyed it, heter i remember all of it is another matter..

i went to glasgow a couple of times about 18 years ago but havent been since and my hubby is normally a driver for trafalgar but he listens to all the facts that the guide says so it was lovely for him to tell us personally.we hadn't seen him for atleast 7 weeks so it was great to catch up and spend time with him, plus we don't know when we will see him next

Hi lillian
hi boo :)
9 re words left, hi all
hi peri
Lilliann, Miley Cyrus has basically become another slutty celebrity like Brittany Spears.
Good evening all.
FW, bye for now
what a shame.i never liked Brittany, but, it's obviously because of their young fame...so if they get5 into drink and drugs, then there managers should get into trouble!
yay peri.tc hin
hi wht
their
plus their families if they have any
as in to do with their fame
Clue for the first mu6/24
Think eye drops, boo
Ty
eye drops wht?
It worked..good clue wht
that must be an american clue :(
I think it's possible for teenage celebrities to stay on the "clean" side. Taylor Swift is a good example. It seems some teenage celebrities have a good circle around them, and some do not.
Lilli. It is an American clue. I checked boos flag before I gave it.
So change the first vowel of a word having to do with the ocean.
Lol wht
Molly, In Miley's case, her parents had to know exactly what she was getting into.
But then most of us have the luxury of going through that phase of our lives without it showing up in magazines and on TV.
i thought miley cyrus was on the clean side...obviously not but i think she was for a while. my daughter loved her and i liked seeing her in hannah montannah with heri suppose with all dad(only because my bairn loved watching it).i suppose with all the exposure it gets to them at some point, especially when they are young...that's what the media does to them!!
lindsay lohan was considered innocent once too.
i know miley's dad, obviously n ot personally, but is her mam famous?
hi cos
any clues on the mu7's
I think Lindsay and Miley were both innocent once. I blame bad decisions on the part of their parents and "handlers" for what happened to those girls.
The first is Herman Mu7 from the TV show
The second is the eye drops with an extra vowel
Clue for the second ne7/28
i just think it is such a shame that these young bairns, then teenagers are exploited at such a young age that they don't know what is happening in their lives and when they are so young they can't decide what is going on it is their parents and publishers, or whatever they have
And the third is a small inspiration?
Most orderly, boo.
sorry wht, i'm still not getting the eye drop clue
Ty
m + pee, lili
Double the second consonant for the mu7.
I'm out for some writing -- back late for the last 28
unless I fall asleep...
This is the most time consuming grid..
urinate?
i only have 4 x mu's
Noun, not verb, Lilli
thanks wht

WooT WooT WooT wht!
Congrats, wht! That was very thoughtful of you to check which country before cluing.....I don't think I would have thought of it.
feeling rather stupid, cannot find the second ai4.4...
nm ...found it,,thunki
LOL..I had the plural but not the singular...
en set? can find any of them
en5,12 means to follow
got that one
en6 ends like Exce****, then plural
en6,21 is last + first name of a famous dog from the 50's
To follow, wht?
rin tin tin, lassie, goliath, can't think of any other dogs
To follow on, ga. Or en + a girl's name.
Shir, you have the name in your list
How about....en + what you do with ice tea - leave off last letter. Then pl.
omg, i misread your clue, i thought it was last name and then first name of the dog, so i was trying tin rin LOL
en6 is opp of beginning and what shirl just said with the dog (first word) :)
Thanks so much, wht. Sometimes I wonder about my mind.
Man, this is a LOT of work to clue one word. : O
ga. I don't wonder about my mind. I lost it long ago.
i haven't a clue what i'm clueing,i'm just following the flow :)
LOL!
It's okay Lilliann, I've seen more clueless cluing around here. : )
Miss Molly, how are you today?
I am fine Miss Peach, and I think you have a lovely mind.
can you all clue my last 108 within the next 20 m inutes so i can go to bed as it is nearly 20 past 2 here in the morning...very much appreciated :) lol
Lillann, repeat after me. It's okay to go to bed without finishing the grid.
...um molly.. when was the last grid you didn't finish?
lilliann! check out my profile!!! :-D
hey all
i know, and do you know molly, i actually followed your advice and didn't finish some, plus i haven't been on for weeks as doing other things so now i want to try and finish a grid..not finish as i need sleep after my wonderful weekend with my husband(not that wonderful as our daughter was with us)! :)
Love your dahlia stid!
Hi Stidmama, don't think I am going to finish either, 53 left and I am very tired. Funeral and all took it out of me so I got some sleeping pills from the doc.
thanks jilly!
hey rumple! wait. funeral
hi ru
??? what happened? ((((rumple)))) *concerned mama look*
hi stid :) am going to look now
My sweet husband of 60 years passed away week before last.
down to 57 here
I'm sorry about your husband rumple
oh carp, rumple. I am so very very sorry. I know you loved riding with him and all. (((((more hugs)))))
thank you rururocks
I know, I sold the Harleys. Won't ride any more.
i'm so sorry to hear about your husband rumple.hugs and thoughts are with you.
So very sorry rumple..how hard this must be.. ((hugs))
Are you still on the farm? Or did you have to give that up, too?
Oh, rumple, I am so very sorry to hear that. You are in my prayers.
Still on the farm. Daughter is super help.
For Ru -----> : P
I am glad you still have the farm, and help to run it. but oh, I am so sad!
:D HA!
So sorry Rumple.
Do the sleeping pills help well enough? I know "things" are easier to handle when you're better rested.
Just taking them for a few days. Don't want to get hooked on them. Still trying to get my thyroid under control.
being around your daughter will be good for you rumple
yes, I understand not wanting to get hooked. I took sedatives for a while to help me sleep years ago, and also was careful to not get dependent.
sedatives don't work on me
I te4 to be a little hyper if you can believe that
<---Can believe it
Good night all. Prayers for you Rumple.
that does not surprise me ru :)
Sweet dreams, wht.
I know.. because i'm normally so quiet and reserved here
I usually just make gutter-al sounds
: D
rumple, if you're still here, could I make a donation in your husband's memory to our local animal rescue shelter? I know you both loved animals.
Hey, if it were not for those of us down in the gutter, those with their noses in the air would have nothing to look down upon.
we do have certain curb appeal
hi everyone. I like that idea stid and I wud be honoured to do the same for Rumple too
well, 94 left and thru the m's...taking a break
hey bugs, perfect icon!
well done jilly!
bugs, I get to teach for a friend tomorrow!!! And I already know most of the kids!!!! *bounce bounce* we are going to have SO MUCH FUN doing math :-)
my brother didn't move out till he was 45 Bugs.. you have a lot to look forward to..lol
oh it will be such fun for the kids too!
;-) well... maybe. LOL I think we'll do well. It's going to be a sunny day, too -- so very hot in the afternoon, but it will mean they have both recesses outside, and that always makes things easier.
made up for me moving out at 16
ruru? you have a sibling???? *shakes mama head in disbelief* your poor mother...
I find the kids always did better when they had a sub they knew
my poor mother? are you freaking kidding me?
yes, partly because the subs' anxiety levels are lower... *grin* and they are able to anticipate what we mean at the same time we can better anticipate what they are going to need.
<---Was wondering about that "poor mother" comment
what does my icon say, for Pete's sake that ruru thinks I wud tolerate a kid here for 45 years. It won't change for me and I can't access it so......... Having a kid at home at 45 was my biggest nightmare
I agree with Poor Mother
Well, I am thinking about all the puns you make. And thinking about 45 years of similar hilarity. I would be exhausted!
oh.. I was a very quiet kid stid
I am struggling just with 20 years of kids at home!
After my 4th son was born one friend wouldn't come to see me at the hospital because he was going thru Poor MOther grief for me. He said I wud have wrecked cars in my yard for decades!
ah -- that would make it easier, I think -- but hopefully not too quiet? I always worry when my kids are not up to at least some small mischief.
rofl Bugs --- and he was right! only it's boats, and it's not your kids... *giggle* say hi to mr bugs for me!
He is the worst for sure. :)
It's true. Ignorance is bliss.
I use the same "spidey-mama" sense when I am teaching as when I am parenting. If they are making enough noise so I know where they are, OR they are in line of sight, we are good. If I can't see or hear them... call in the National Guard!
my DIL was here this weekend and we said the same thing. we know where they are and what they are doing by the sounds. When you don't hear anything, or hear a new sound, RUN
:-D
okay, I want to make those pickles I have been talking about for a week. I have plenty of pickles (got four more from the garden this evening) and all the ingredients. Back tomorrow. Down to 53 now, might babble a bit before I turn in, too. ((((rumple)))) I will keep you in my heart *poof*
have fun stid.

To each his sufferings: all are men, Condemned alike to groan; The tender for another's pain, The unfeeling for his own. Yet ah! why should they know their fate? Indeed ..

All together now ..
i feel bad...I didn't realize I had that one...
sometimes we have 'putti'. i love when we have that word.
hi all
hi jiminy
hi jmc
i am sulking so came here to be cheered up
well, it's the beginning of a new year. that's pretty good.
indeed happy new year since my yiddish is not so good
but ruru's gone missing. that's sad.
yes, especially since he's in the grid...well, sort of...
oh too bad but torgi and dan2bit and the ever delightful little miss 2bit are here
let's see... warm woolen mittens, brown paper parcels wrapped in string, whiskers on kittens....
true dat jmc
*smile*
eidelweis
different song
but something, apparently, much loved.
i think mainly by austrians. . .
i think it's a plant with white flowers that grows in northern europe
i am not sure i would know eidelweis if i tripped over it
maybe the swiss. . .
aaccckkk! now i can't get that song out of my head!
What did one eidelweis plant say when another eidelweis plant asked it dance?
which one une?
what?
i don't know torgie what?
which one?? Eidelweiss!
i thought maybe the "these are a few of my favorite things"
aahhh, no
"Holy crap! A talking flower!!!!"
haha torgie
but, man, those 2 together would make anyone OD on saccharine
ha ha ha
tor LOL
*groan*
*drum riff*
Did Julie Andrews sing it in the Sound of Music?
yep
that song always made me a little uncomfortable. but that's the anti-nationalism in me.
oh, yeah, that was the brown shirt song, right?
so apparently raph stanley did a blue grass version of the velvet underground's white lightning
I've got 47 left...but my head is starting to hurt...
mr. von trapp sang it as a sort of anti fascist tone
no it was the song to counter the brown shirt song
oh mab..I'm the emotional kind, that song always makes me cry....
i also heard he did a blue grass version of paint it black. . .
i thought i could picture the Hitler youth singing it, no?
soft and white, clear and bright...
no, just christoper plummer and maybe the kids
ok . . . loooong time since I saw that film
it is / was a national folk song of Austria
sorry, was off for a bit, back for a bit now
nope it was the cole porters that did paint it black
i've not seen it for ages either yet i remember it so vividly
AND when the movie came out, the Swiss used it on every music box in every store for a looong time LOL
cole porter?!
i think rolling stones
ok, now i'm singing Paint It Black
antidote to Eidelweiss LOL
snow flakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
uusue....how is Frank?
oh dear, sorry, une.
still like that one, mab :-)
in a lot of pain and frustrated
we went to the clinic today, doctor ordered some lab tests, but hospital won't schedule them until Friday since he has no insurance
that was the point une
too bad poor frank
what?
What's Friday? Take care of the uninsured day!! GRRRR
he actually does have hospitalization, and I called the business office and gave them that information, so I will call the scheduling office again tomorrow and see if he can get in sooner
to get you to sing paint it black. . . a better song to get stuck on
ah . . .
it's a few blood tests and a stool sample, doesn't seem like it ought to be all that outrageously expensive even
I think he should have an EGD (stomach scope)....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDpHwbn\nwj-k
yeah, that would probably be pricier
howdy all

40s forecast here later this week (at night) -- woohoo!
I would have used Jack, but I ran out. So Captain Morgan... but strawberry banana mojitos sounds so much better...
love late september/october
i dont like mojitos but it was delicious
10.00 a glass though yikes.
also, I usually avoid hot chocolate when it is 400 degrees... that's when I eat a lot of ice cream.
one of the local restaurants was featuring watermelon mojitos and margaritas this summer - pretty yummy!
today I got to run in the afternoon! It was lovely! In the summer it is too hot and I have to run in the morning before the sun gets irritating.
we have a bar downtown.. a cigar bar but everyone goes because we can smoke inside so the drinks are pricey
ooh, that sounds nice, via!
ok, time for me to crash, see you all tomorrow!

ne7, plural of someone who uses a mesh snare
ne7, ne + peepee
