Knew about Larry Hagman, not bert newton
Don't know bert Newton is what I mean!
Just googled him
bert newton is an australian TV icon...he's been around since methusela was a pup.
Learning about Aussie icons. Probable date for citizenship ceremony is Australia Day!

It's exciting. Phoned them yesterday cos passed test early sept
Long time to wait

Hubby will take me out but told him to surprise me
it's been a week to remember, bryce courtney died also this week.
Yes, that was sad

Chatting earlier today we all agreed must live life to the full
No I didnt
Glad he finished his last book
How are you rose after your first week back

Not sure if I saw the same interview - I watched one from abc - but it was ver good
liz, there were several. one was bryce saying good-bye and thanx. it was heart-rending.
Just listening to the one you linked now - couldn't find it on iPad but have it on the computer
Amazing man! Very moving interview!
liz, he was one of my absolute fave authors. such a loss to the literary world.
Haven't read much of his but what I read I enjoyed. Was only introduced to his books last year. A great loss to the literary world.
Another fave of mine (totally different style) also died not so long ago - Anne McCaffrey - wrote science fantasy.
lol, you know you are getting old, when tv, film and literary stars start dieing in your lifetime.
:( You're only as old as you feel (or the person you're feeling!)
the second half of that statement is good, considering i'm a cradle snatcher, and hubby is 2 years younger than i am. * grin *
:) - sounds fine to me!
try cradle snatching my way rose!

hello everyone
Hello, Annie!
Hiya Annie :)
hi smores
morning, all -- Annie, just checkin' -- didja get your package? :-)
Morning, Une
howdy, zoom :-)
Hi Une, not yet..the post offices are closed in my neighborhood. I post to the postman and he said lots of mail is being held.
*spoke
that makes sense -- thought it might get delayed
He said this week the PO will be opening and he will have loads of mail to deliver
:-D
I saw Lincoln yesterday. I loved it. Sally Field was wonderful as was all the actors.
saw it last week with a friend -- I agree -- thought it was absolutely brilliant!!
Annie, a friend of mine who went to see Lincoln said people stood up and applauded at the end. I haven't heard that about a movie in a long time.
Yes, there was applause at the end of the movie. Well deserved.
here as well . . . and the theater was so quiet, you could have heard a pin drop through many of the scenes -- people were just riveted by the story and the performances . . .
Yes, here too. very quiet.
It's so nice to hear about a really good movie, as there are so many average/bad ones out there these days.
i agree, Molly . . .
Molly, if you have a chance, go see it.
Happy Saturday everyone
hey, mom!!!
Morning Mom
((Mom)) Happy Saturday to you too.
And to you, MoM

Our Une is like Saint Francis Of Assisi when it comes to animals. : )
Yes, she is.
isn't she though
I don't know of anyone who gives more time, devotion and love to animals. It's a sweet thing to read about.
She cares about and loves each one of the dogs.

Have a lot of snow there, lbd? Not much here.
Hi again, had to grab a bite to eat.
some folks camped out overnight said they had to take turns staying in a running car to keep warm !
that is just ridiculous
the shopaholics had to get their fix, i guess. not my idea of a good ti4 or good deal. the trash that was left behind was incredible. instead of using the trash cans available, cups and other paper products just dropped on the ground. that just makes me furious.
Morning BR,TO, Mom, ibd :)

I can't begin to imagine what they are going through. My thoughts and prayer are with them

Hello, sprite and vateach
hi BabbleRabble, am happy to see you!
Are you about done .... been here at least fifteen minutes

((sprite))
((Crossy))
a plausible explanation
can i blame my old meds?
((mom))
crossy! *hugs*
no I don't think so, crossy... they have to be new to mess up your whole system, I think ;)
Throwing in the towel on this one. ((Hugs)) to all of you. Make it a great day.

LSD: Lumpy Skin Disease
{Mimi} morning to ya
lol...BR
indeed smores.it asked me when fry ups would be ready and left on a bus
lol BabbleRabble!
{{smores}}
hi Mimi :)
Hi, sprite!
I was scared to try LSD in the 60's---my head is scary enough already all by itself!!!
very wise, Mimi. I am very happy I never used it. Not sure I could convince anyone of any lingering saneness if I had.
Wish I had been scared...wouldve saved some major problems
*hugs smores*
.....and some brain cells...lol
Besides, I lived in a very rural area then and didn't even know until years later that some of my classmates were smoking grass.....late bloomer.
nothing wrong with blooming later on
BabbleRabble: interesting profile text today. And true, I think.
Except when it came to sex----hit that one head-on (pardon the expression) at 15!!!
Hate it when the bloomers do not show up on time
Yeah, but when we do it's worth the wait!!!
BRB gotta fix my daughter some breakfast
I hope it was good, Mimi, and worth it :)
lol...Mimi...BR
Bye dear smores....hugs and more hugs.
ye4, we can schedule what we want, but do they listen, BabbleRabble? Never!
that's what scares me, I have 13 and 15 yo girls
see you in a little bit then, smores :) I'll be here, I guess.
I was lucky, sprite....it was fabulous and the right thing for me. Set a positive tone for the rest of my sex life.
teach them, smores. That is all you can do. Make sure they know about contraceptives and responsibility, and also about the feelings and urges.
wtg Mimi! That is wonderful.
Smores, I was very responsible. We charted my days of the month and were careful. Taught my daughter to respect herself and to be responsible. She was still a virgin at 18. So were my boys....I know because I was very close to them and they told me everything....yes, everything.
Believe it or not, I'm still friends with my first love.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkaKwXd\ndT_I
my son was very early with it as well. Had been going steady with his girl for over a year. It was bound to happen and I am glad it happened safely indoors, in their own bed, relaxed and without fear. I think my girl will wait longer.
oh that is so sweet, Mimi.
I told them it was their decision, told them when I made that decision, and asked that they simply let me know before hand so I could make sure they were safe.
As I've said before, the only bad thing about teaching your kids to think for themselves is that it comes back to bite you in the butt later!!
we offered to make sure there were condoms in the house and at first were told there was no need, they were not re5 for it. And then half a year later my son told me it would be nice to have some handy... it might become necessary. I still think that was so wise and beautiful of them.
lol Mimi, yes it does. But it is ok too... it is nice to know they can speak and think for themselves.
Actually, sprite, I'm still friends with several of my exes. Hey, when I love you, you STAY loved!! I've always felt it was good to keep them as friends so I wouldn't lose all the things I loved about them in the first place just because our romantic relationship ended.
My eldest son was a late bloomer in that area so when he wasn't dating or seeming interested in girls, I sat him down and said "You know I love you no matter what so if you have an alternate lifestyle..." to which he interrupted and said "No, Mom I'm not gay." Funny.
I love that, Mimi. I am the same, I cannot stop loving. My only 'real' ex has popped up a couple of times later on in my life, but he couldn't cope.
morning all!
The guy I would have married had not met my (now ex) husband called me for 2 years wanting me to change my mind....we are now friends. It would appear I made the wrong decision there.........
lol Mimi
hi dan!
Hi ya, Dan!
Hi guys, always told my son he could be gay so long as he gave me a grandchild!
morning all! sprite...love the icon!!
the road not taken, Mimi? Nah, every experience is worth having. It made you you.
One thing I'm very proud of is that none of my kids will stand for bashing of any kind. If someone tries that around them, they'll speak out and/or leave the room.
hi littlebit! Thank you :)
hi xeiluj. lol!
awesome, Mimi
Hiya, the kick in the butt for me is his girlfriend doesnt' want kids.Arhhh
Yes, sprite, I know, but I paid a very high price for making that wrong decision.....but my ex and I are close now.
ouch xeiluj
*hugs Mimi* You are beautiful. Job well done there.
He is only 25, I can stlll hope! lol
my son is 18 and has a real close friendship with a lovely young girl his age it never seems to develop into anything different and has the benefit of her keeping all the baaad girls away from my son lol
My daughter doesn't think she'll have any kids and that's OK. I don't think people should have kids unless they absolutely cannot imagine life without them. Too many have them that should not.
Thanks, sprite.
decisions like that can change, xeiluj, it is true. But even then, nobody can guarantee kids will be born.
new profile pic is miss2bit and her cousin, 6 months younger
awww dan, so very beautiful are they!
new cousin (grandchild #6) on the way in March - they are quite the cohort now
ty sprite, they play pretty well together (for now)
lovely, dan. You must feel rich :)
we do! also takes some of the pressure off to produce a sibling :-)
Only joke with him, we both work with kids so maybe he has enough of them in hte day. Ishare my sisters two girls so i don't miss out .
absolutely. cousins are almost just as good.
sounds good, xeiluj. Best of both worlds.
Maybe even better....you don't have to live with them and can send 'em home.
even more blessed because we can all gather on occasion - everybody is in DC area
Both girls want to come live with me if heaven forbid, something happens to their mum so i must be doing something right
may you never have to, xeiluj. But yes, very good sign.
I am older than her so i think we are pretty safe but thanks sprite
I have a godson who calls me Mommy 2. His mother has been my best friend for 43 years.
I wonder how many who are contemplating becoming parents have read something like this: http://tinyurl.com/c7e2mw7
That is so lovey Mim.
She knows EVERYTHING about me and loves me anyway!!! So thankful for her and for her son.
not sure, but I think many of them, BabbleRabble. I know we re4 about everything there was and we tried to make the pregnancy as healthy as possible for the lil' un.
BR - I've seen that premise put forth. I think general nutrition (& therefor fetal nutrition & early child nutrition) is more important than anybody realizes, but I'm not sure it's "the most consequential 9 months of our lives"
we all eat better as a family since miss2bit showed up though :-)
phantom: temerity
hi hursh, yes indeed
Wanted to raise myself first, so didn't have kids until my 30's. They were meant to be since they had to pole vault, swim through muck and run an obstacle course just to be conceived!!!
yay Mimi :D
and I do think that pregnancy makes lots of moms (and dads) feel out of control, so some of us (ahem) may have gone a little to the other extreme on diet &c
They got through every birth control device known to man. My sister-in-law was having trouble getting pregnant and asked for "pointers." I told her "Just try NOT to get pregnant---always works for me!" I didn't even want to wash my husband's pants during the middle of my cycle---was afraid they'd migrate.
Dan, to me, being pregnant is like being POSSESSED!!!
lollll Mimi!
lol, good thing you get the big belly so we can tell the difference between possesions lol
I agree. At a certain point I started to feel like I had rent out a room and wasn't able to regain it, grin.
crossy runs...
And me, my husband ran away from me once and jumped over a brick wall!!
run crossy run
bad crossy, grin
I spend a lot of time at a mental health site. The point of the article is that much of what a child experiences because of genetics and child rearing is almost impossible to change.
when my mrs was 7 months along ,i moved to the basement to make a crib from scratch and did not come up for air till she was 8cm dialate lol
When I was in labor with my third, the nurse told me my blood pressure was going down instead of up and I said that's because this is the part I like....would do anything just to get them OUT.
that is so true, BabbleRabble. I still fight daily with that truth. It is so much inner core you cannot really change it, just... nudge it a bit in a better direction, I guess.
silly crossy :D :D
BR, I always thought it was nurture rather than nature until I met my biological mother at age 22 and was EXACTLY like her....those genes are powerful.
hello
Hi, MLFAN!!
in dutch we had a movement called 'Baas in eigen buik' = Boss in own belly, women who wanted to be the ones to decide whether or not to become pregnant or have an abortion. I have felt I wasn't boss in my own belly for most of both pregnancies, lol.
hi mimi
hello mlfan
i am not liking this grid so far
Good day to all.
i look at my son now(lazy teenage angst filled slug) and it amazes me that once upon a time he won a race to an egg with 5 million entrants ;)
hi Scrabs! :)
Hi ya Scrab!!
howdy scwabby
keep faith, crossy, you will be so proud of him in a few years ;)
can i have the stats for the corner E please?
Ahh, crossy, soon enough you will know why he won the race
He, like all of us, is a work in progress.
Hello again, my kid is now happily eating choc chip pancakes
true, Scrabs. I am far from finished, that is for sure.
I'm convinced somehow someone took the kids I originally had and replaced them with these adults. In some ways, they haven't changed for the better.
he is so lazy sprite, that when he graduates this year he just wanted to have them mail the diploma to him as he thinks the official ceremonies are "lame" and "old skool"
{{smores}}
hello, babblers
who wouldn't, smores, lol. Can I come along?
Good morning all
hahaha crossy... sounds like a teenager to me.
hi welki :)
and hi Mr Bob
?
lol..crossy
Hi Bob
HiyaMr Bob
Hi to welki and Bob.
Work in progress is a great generalization .... I just wish I did not have to plant a stake to let me know if I am gaining
ey4/6 and 5/14
ey4/6 ml
ty smores
just me very careful where you plant it, BabbleRabble. Not anywhere IN you, mind!
duhh babblet ty smores
Nice clues, sprite
and sprite
lol...thank sprite...she has 'em both
sprite, you must not have hated the k too much today
thanks BabbleRabble ;) yvw mlfan
I didn't, hursh... so little I didn't even complain about it :)
Often our own thoughts are are worst enemies. I read a wonderful book over a year ago that taught me to merely observe my thoughts rather than believe they are true. "The Untethered Soul" by Michael Singer.
Good day, hursh
good day
*writing that one down* Thanks Scrabs, that is one of the things I am working on right now!
Hi Hurshy
can i have the statas for the third column bottom R please?
stats
Oh, yeah, Scrab. I try not to spend too much time in my own head....gets gnarly in there. I can visit but don't want to live there.
re6/21
Why is it that those thoughts come the most in hte middle of the nght?
got it ty hursh
crossy, found an epub of it... want a copy?
I certainly live in my head a lot, as I have found my imaginary life far more enjoyable than reality, but I also like to zoom out and observe what the elctrical activity in my brain produces.
Because they catch you off guard...sneaky little buggers.
4th column 2nd E stats please?
xeiluj: because of many reasons. The middle of the night is the least 'rational' time of day for us. We are close to our fears and dreams then.
cognitive distortions; negative chatter; defense mechanisms and cognitive polyphasia are plagues for me
Our Worry Voice talks in a loud voice and it lies a lot.
They often hit me while I'm asleep and there have been times I actually wake up crying....hate when that happens.
Same for me, BR, so the battle goes on.
er7/32
ee4/6 MLF
same here, BabbleRabble. The continuing saga...
Sorry. Smores is correct.
smores is that the 2nd E?
epub of what sprite?
the book Scrabs just mentioned. The untethered soul, by Singer
is it a word i should know?
Ends with tiny bug
Found it, TY
Do you ever find yourself in a dream that you know is dream but you can't wake yourself up?
Should say nightmare
hi all!
hi scrambler
got it ty
feelings of being trapped
nbs
Yes, but lucid dreaming is fun. I can be the director of the dream.
Hi Scrambler
Two of my favorite articles: http://tinyurl.com/8u5e3ct
Yep, x---sometimes don't want them to end. Mine tend to be very obscure, though, and I often can't decipher them.
ty,sounds interesting but no.i am quite comfortable with my mind and its thought.i keep things in their own spaces and do everything in triage manner that way i am never worrying about dozens of things at once.i find one thing, deal with it,then remove it from my mental desk and move on.life for me is too short to be worrying endless knots of some life tapestry in the belief that i can wrap it all up in a neat little bundle and control it.i just go with the flow now,and live, and smile, and make lemonade
hi scrabble!
yes, xeiluj, quite often. It is possible to train yourself to take control of that kind of dream. Might be worth to try.
Scrabbler, it's like Bigwig or Fiver in Watership Down!
ok crossy :)
clue for the RE please

and I'm back, had to let the cat back in and feed him
wb smores :)
I paraphrase the life giving you lemons thing this way: When life gives you lemons, throw 'em right back!
lol, hailing like a bugger here atm.no cat in his right mind wants to be outside today
lol...there are like 15 of them ml
Happy Saturday, Babblers!
8 i said lol
There is a Siamese cat in the neighborhood. He visits me daily and I feed him. He has stunning blue eyes so I named him Blue.
Same to you, Aloy!

Oh, Scrambler, lucky you. I just love this cat and I hold him, cuddle him, and love him up.
smores can you clue it please?
Hi ya Trif!!
omigosh.. white stuff falling out of the sky = fun and shoveling and ..
Hi Trif. How is the sewing project?
almost done, and then i roll right into the next one!
re5/10 before it + what preformers do on stage
Triffles! *huggles*
what we hope for aloy,is enough so the roads are closed and we cannot go to work so out come the snow shoes!!
Do you sew regularly to make extra money?
the re5/10 is what things I grew up with are now considered...lol
I am making an abominable snowman costume for a HUGE kid, and it's really funny. My toothpick skinny kids have all had a go at trying it on
not regularly enough, but yes, scrabbler
i dont have RE 5
Hi Tirf :)
Good one, smores!
That is a great skill to have, Trif.

hey smores, and mimi, and crossy, and all my other loved ones
thanks hursh
all we need up here in winter is one clear day to get supplies in and the rest of it all can be buried under snow:))
HI hurshy :)
it IS scrabbler. Being able to sew has brought me a lot of happiness over the eons. I really, really like it
ty, smores (-:

LOL - scambler
ty sprite
they are beautiful, scramber
my pleasure, hursh
what's from that first O besides group of 8 ?
I would love to have one cat, or more, but I have 4 bunnies and am not sure if all could be friends.
need stats for the 8 please
don't know yet, sorry
we had a house bunny and a house cat at the same time, and all was very well, scrabbler.
ok4 hursh
likely if you got a kitten and it grew up around bunnies they would be friends. an adult cat would be baaad news for bunnies.
dog + bunny, however, = NO
re8/45.
thanks, :3 juniper, isis, cleopatra
could it be the western movie you need, hurshy? Not on list, so am not sure
oh thanks bzz
our "kitten" is now 9 months old and lord of the manor he is super alpha male and our other 2 older cats are not happy about it,so what we do is leash him and he instantly goes from stealty alpha jungle predator to a dangle toy for the other cats to chase around the house and try to catch the leash;))
I have friends with dog + bunny, cat + bunny, and even tortoise + bunny--all with great relationships.
awe!
Scrab, if you get a kitten very young and raise it with the bunnies, they'll most likely be fine. I've raised wild combos of animals together with no problem. Actually, my cats were afraid of my birds and rats (yes, rats).
retort
yes mimicat, my calico nursed a baby bunny and i think they(the other kitties) didn't recognize it as a bunny
my previous dog ate bunnies ;(
My friend's huge dog greatly respected their rabbit.
we are using hav-a-hart traps to try to catch a marsh rice rat that has nested in our boat - what bait do you suggest, Mimi?
but he was great with my cats
Smores, there's got to be one psycho pet in the bunch!
hmm... that bottom A is tough
i have ad5, ae4 and 5 ...
ad5, ad6 & 7
*friend on phone, crying about her 25 yr old daughter that refuses to grow up*
Couldn't really blame him, he was a wolf hybrid and definately an alpha male
Aloy, peanut butter works well--takes awhile to eat it and they can't remove it from the spot so there's time to catch them.
best bait is a bit of raw bacon or a smear of peanut butter
i won't grow up... i don't wanna wear a tie...
Just following his instincts
oh, good... I smeared some peanut butter on some carrot chunks.. no luck yet
gotta learn to screen, scrabbler!
crossy wears string and zip up ties;)
will try bacon too, ty crossy
Crossy, you really DO use bacon for everything!
I officiallly don't have to grow up :)
have a great time babbling, gotta go ride the pony! later! :3
hope you have speaker phone, Scrabbs so you can Babble at the same time
make her live on herself... then all issues will be her own problem

Using speaker phone.

A question or more for those so inclined: Does the mind control the brain or vice versa? Or neither? Where is the mind located?
yes, it would have gone nicely with the ya5
oh, fish slap... it is the big blood vessel!
hmmmm.....pondering....BR
hello again
I'd say the brain is just an organ, like the rest of them. When that organ is damaged, the mind may be too, so physically, the mind should live in the brain. Not sure about control, though.
studied neuroscience for a while, BR.. no clue, but my hunch is that the mind is all of the brain, so the answer is in physics.. maybe uusue knows
hi ruby :)
94 this AM but no 8 or right-hand bottom e!
{{spirte}}
energy related, and what is energy?
ruby! hi!
the bottom E is an elaborate spelling of the recluse, ruby
the 8 is an RE word... style gone out of fashion relived + what someone does on a stage.
got it, ty
hello aloy!

{Ruby} Hi!!
{{smores}}
Recent studies indicate glia cells are more important in the transfer of information than originally thought
ty sprite, that gave me several words
yes, indeed
and what's tardis?
my psychiatrist always says they don't know the first thing about how the brain works yet, and how it impacts on the rest of our body.
yvw ruby :)
a fictional time machine
tardis? A telephone booth that travels the universe through time and space... dr Who's car.
it is a very british time travel machine from a old sci fi series ruby..i bet it coomes with tea and scones;))

a tea room opened in the next village -- an Englishwoman and her Fr husband and they serve SCONES

Many breakthroughs have been made in recent studies of the brain
me too, crossy
oh nice, ruby :) I hope they are good.
well,it was either dr who or coronation street:((
how nice Ruby, it that the village you normally shop at?
Some indicate the brain has the ability to make decisions for us before we actually decide
actually, they serve lunch and we've only gone there for that so far
<-- doesn't shopt -- husband does that
(or typet lol)
actually in the sense of consciously
I have to go, am sorry. Foggy brain cannot keep up with either chat nor puzzle. Guess bed is in order. I really hope these side effects won't take long to disappear. Bye all, thanks for being there. *hugs*

my parents ended up as snow birds. from Florida.
i remember in 1994 they came home early for the birth of our son in february..lol! they had the furnace in the house just roaring! it had to be 90 f in that house and all the windows were dripping with condensation. mrs and i spent the last week till her water broke in our bedroom with the window wide open
Back, briefly.
Ah, everyone finished?
i have 8 left
109 for me and I am seeing nuthin'
... yeah ... it's a sneaky tough one today ... looks not to difficult until you actually try to find anything
Hi dos
... afternoon scrabbler ... ... did the rabbits get buried in snow down where you are? ...
Hello all!
Hi Jill
The snowplow just growled by. The bunnies are safe and warm inside although we lost our power for 3 hrs last evening.
Hi Scrabs, snowstorm?
... not a pleasant thought ... we just had a sprinkle on the ground this morning which is gone now .. ... but it's cold ... ... drop of 14 degrees C ... (25 degrees F) from yesterday ... and the wind is blowing ... not a day to be outside
Yes, "lake effect snow advisory" began last night and continues through this evening.
We already had a storm earlier this month, a week after the hurricane
We had snow and cold, but now has warmed and only snow in mountains. I can live with that..
Yes, I recall.
... don't get much lake effect stuff on the north side of the lake ... but I'll bet crossy is working hard with a shovel
Slam me with a cod. I just saw the K word. Duh.
... always tough to find the easy words
it was flying high in the sky
How are Marco and Polo?
... I haven't had a storm yet ... ... but they're getting close and are starting to happen all around
Great. You heard about Watson, our foster dog?
Phantom: emetic
No! A foster dog?
Yes, he's a Shih Tzu. Was found starving and very sick. We have him until he fattens up and regains his health. Then off to a forever home. He's a darling
Laptop battery will die soon, so I may disappear.
What a lucky dog to be rescued!
Nice to see you again scrabs (just in case)...
Yes, his coat was so matted it covered his eys and he couldn't see
I could plug in but I do need to extricate my butt from the couch cushion.

It's hard to explain in non geek terms Jane. Do a Google search on it.
lol
when they call here I say, "I"m sorry, I don't speak French"
he thinks if he tells me my csid number that I will believe him....
my computer is dangerously infected and he wants to help me....lol
tell him to go away harp
i'll let him figure that out on his own. when the phone starts beeping i will hang it up.
... he's probably the one who infected it ...
In case you haven't figured it out, it's a scam. A computer clsid is an identifier number
... how'd he figure you're machine is infected anyways? ... I never trust them
so why would he know it?
he has my address as a place i lived 14 years ago
I got hacked on Thanksgiving. Be very careful harp.
He doesn't and he hopes you don't either.
that is scary!
he's trying to get your password and hack into your computer likely
... exactly ..
and dangerous\
Agree with all the chog posts
This is why I don't answer the phone. Answering machines are beautiful things.
well ANYONE could get my name and address off the Internet, but the fact that he got my 1997 address is mildly amusing.
no wonder it keeps ringing when I call you, molly, lol
This is why I quit all the FB games, I will only use https sites and when I was hacked it didn't go anywhere-well, I had to change all my passwords
is it really that easy to get people's names and addresses?
how about this scenario--it's NOT infected?
It will be if he gets in...
you can google a phone number and get whatever info is in the phone book
... the phone book has been on-line for twenty years
well if he's looking for a computer on south second (which he called "ESS SECOND") it won't be mine.
happily, I don't use my husband's name (name in the phone book)
... when asked for a password I usually give them ... n-o-t-l-i-k-e-l-y and hang up ...
i tell them my username is youlie
You are smart Jilly. People don't realize how "out there" you are when hooked up with Facebook games.
very funny, dose
and my password is youlose
... that one will do too ...
MIne might not be so 'clean'!!
<---going through life avoiding the FB thing
good night everybody
what are the stats for the lone e?
It's highly over rated Ru.
... bon nuit ...
<-- thinking up nasty passwords.....
er7
... ah yes ... thanks for that one
and for the lone r?
I liked FB at first, but now just use it for lexulous and for seeing where my son's band is playing
Ruby, I only have an account to see family pictures that family members are too lazy to email anymore.
... a person who looks at books
I've "unfriended" all the people who post what they did today
thanks thanks
*poof*
How about all the people who copy and past quotes and pictures that have been going around the internet for ten years?
Um, was just on FB..what posts ruby?
... I had to get off it ... too many kids from school were being too nosy ...
Jilly she meant posts like "Today, I got a latte at Starbucks" (as in what they did today)
*duh* I spend most of my time ignoring things.
nbt nbs and off to SKI for the first time
Yay harp!
jilly you should read my post about yesterday though, i need some sympathy
It's sad when people post something in hopes of sympathy and people are too lazy to do anything but "like" it.
*heads out to check*
ah, now i feel like a dufus....
i had a conversation yesterday with a stranger yesterday (for whom I was doing a favor) and he felt it would be appropriate to vent a bunch of racist crap about our President.
Why Jane? I don't think there was anything wrong with your post. I just don't understand why people can't take the time to respond with words.
(while he was applying for a low income energy assistance program...)
I don't see any of that...just a timeline photo change
so far nobodys even indicated that they saw my post....
I don't know why people think it's appropriate to say things like that. Especially to a complete stranger.
just tagged you jill
)k4/10
OK4/10 loil
It's the disconnect of complaining about the president while telling a stranger about why they can't afford to go to the doctor, and applying for government assistance. all the while saying how lazy blacks are.....
Didn't get the tag either...back to babbling for now
did you ignore me, perhaps?
or block anything about politics? lol
racists don't have to say much to prove how small-minded they are
I actually haven't ignored anyone...I just skip their posts and you would NEVER be blocked..
Wonder if the other person limited who sees it?
<---I'd block everyone :D
You can always print it out and bring to me at practice..
no the other person was a stranger...
Strange??
someone i did not know, never told him my name, and he did not know mine....
If it got really bad then FB may have filtered it.?
Would Facebook delete something with derogatory remarks about The President?
If so, I hope they would at least notify the person who posted it.
or the secret service
Ooo, I hope spooks don't come knocking on Jane's door. : O
in some circles that'd be a racist comment :D
To clarify, "spooks" is another name for CIA agents.
Well, am halfway...bbl time to get out of my comfy jammies... *poof*
*Waits for the self-appointed Babble Police to come swooping in*
*peeks in at JIlly*
I need to get going too, my nephew texted that he is on the way and that give me an hour to get out of my jammies and into my ski clothes.
I need to get going too, my nephew texted that he is on the way and that give me an hour to get out of my jammies and into my ski clothes.
*I wonder if Babble Police have Squad Cars*
maybe they call them Squeg cars
I never get involved in the conversations, especially political ones, but I have to speak up concerning where our wonderful country is headed...can you believe that many of us feel it is headed in the wrong direction and that the present leadership is continuing down that road....our constitution guarantees all of us certain rights and when a president persists in making people go against their conscious and religious convictions such as enforcing abortion on churches, religious colleges, hospitals and so far it is going to far. Already the white house is forcing a Christian publisher, some Christian colleges and hospitals to do what goes against every part of their fiber and that is wrong. So now we will discriminate against those who hold a different view or conviction and force people to go against their constitutional rights and that is wrong.
however, any political party that consists of leaders who deny science will destroy the country much faster and permanently
nuff said from me....I don't want to anger anyone
Agreed jeff
:)
Yes, I believe many people feel the country is headed in the wrong direction. Maybe not for the same reasons, but I know why people are not happy with things as they are.
That is not the issue...it is all of us have rights and the rigth to disagree and still respect each other even if wedo not agree.
stats for the 8 pls
people who disagree with you have rights too.

LOL, not doing bad on this one..permission to nap ;)
hi again all!
Hello there uusue!
hi Jill!
hello sue, how is it going?
Hope things are "going" well uusue..
pretty good, TO, at last we are home!
and yes, the "going" is good
How about the appetite?
I am slightly worried about his incisions - they are redder than I would like and still draining - but I talked to the surgeon on call and we will continue to watch them, he is on antibiotics
appetite is good too
nice. is he walking?
I would suggest lightly marking the red edges with a permanent marker to be able to accurately monitor increased readness. Also, checking for other things like temperature (especially in the evening) and if there is any increased pain.
a little, not as much since he got home as he was in the hospital
*redness
the edges are already marked but I think it's spread along the incision (marks - by surgeon - are only on one half)
and I seem to remember that they had receded but now they are back to the marks again
temp is normal but I am watching that too, he is still in pain but it doesn't seem to be getting worse
good job!
Jill, do you think I should look again this evening (everything is under bandages) or should I wait until morning?
I only unwrapped him around 1 pm today, these were put on by the on-call surgeon Thursday afternoon
(I know you can't give real advice, just looking for suggestions - probably I will check late this evening in any case)
Morning will be fine. And temps usually spike around bedtime
ok, will check then, thanks!!
he'll be happier the less often I mess with things...
yvw...he's actually correct; the less chance of irritating the wound.
ah, good point.
meanwhile, back in the grid, I am having trouble with the lone r on the bottom row...
One who looks at a book
And they do tend to become a little more irritated the longer the staples are kept in...is there any drainage?
ah, thanks, molly!!
(Sorry to interrupt the nursie talk)
there was quite a lot of drainage from one of them, Jill, ran down his side when I took the dressing of
*warns viewers on following post*
What does it look like?
clear pinkish yellow
I told the surgeon and she didn't seem to think it was an immediate emergency
any foul odor?
no, and I checked
"Serous" drainage is common...just bears watching.
yes, and I will keep a close eye on it
I'm missing a re 5/16 by the color again one. can I get a clue? It's before the send out again 6
And it'll do him well to keep in tune with what his body is telling him...now and in the future.
indeed, Jill, and thanks!!
back to the grid...
there is a 5/16 to decrease wetness again
its before the color one
yep that's it. thanks!
thanks for all the words! and hi gramma, sorry for all the medical talk!
And uusue, you can message me anytime on FB or by text if you still have my phone #
will do, thanks!!
Listing at 30..whew!
ta4/5...great, now I'm hungry!
<--- loves Mexican food
<----turkey ta4/5s?
any flavor is fine :-)
I have so much turkey left...
I freeze my leftover turkey in "meal size" containers. Then I have it for soup and casseroles later on.
some friends of ours brought over a whole Thanksgiving dinner yesterday - I am giving Frank the turkey, mashed potatoes, and jellied cranberry, and am eating the stuffing, pumpkin pie, peas, and chopped cranberry (also the dinner rolls). We've gotten two meals out of it so far, with at least one more to go
What? You don't get any turkey?
Will make TV dinners, eat some more, freeze what's left, boil the carcass and DONE!
That's wonderful uusue!
I am choosing to give it to him (I haven't told him he's getting it all) - it's gluten free and he needs the protein. And I get the dressing and the pie :-)
There is gluten in turkey?
no, that's why he can eat it
*hoping uusue takes enough protein to keep herself going*
I was thinking the same thing Jill. Frank isn't the only one who needs a healthy diet.
my usual breakfast is Greek yogurt and Nutlettes (like Grape Nuts but pure soy, so lots of protein). Very healthy and tasty.
<--------!!FW!! ti7/32 was my last
yay Jill!
Makes up for the unfinish yesterday...
Anyone need clues before I go eat some turkey?
Hubby chimed in on wanting a turkey sammie, so must *poof*
Sue, just remember that you have been through a lot too and you need some "caring for" too. You can run yourself dry caring for someone else all the time.
ad5/16? Seriously? Words like that make me wonder why I play this game.
You play it for the joy of discovering stupid new words like that ..
Thank you Tor, I forgot. Lots o'joy here then.
Yep. A whole pantload of happiness in this grid ..
Ah, it makes me want to buy the world a Coke.
can I get to 5/22 and the 4/4 before it?
to4/4 is to plus he, she **. to 5/22 word is t plus ok4/10.
man lookin in the wrong spot. thanks Minver!
yw
Reaching pretty far back in the celebrity birthday file today, eh Min?
Not much of a selction for celeb b-days today torgone.
Well then, let's all raise a glass to Zachary Taylor!
Here's an interesting fact about President Taylor. Taylor died from food poisoning two days after a fourth of July picnic. He had milk and grapes and didn't have anything to keep them cold. He was also very short and needed a stool to get up onto his horse.
Must have been a dreary picnic if all he had were milk and grapes.
LOL MollyL!
The Sour Milk Conspiracy .. I'm surprised Glenn Beck isn't all over this
I'm sure his 1800's counter part was. But the guy was probably offed with curdled cream before he could blow the lid on the whole thing.
When Glenn disagrees, he curds the whey
hi BR!
Hello, Sue. Hope you are well and smiling.
I am good, BR, resting a bit right now
Good
Frank is well enough to get on the internet and research his cancers now
That too is good
Is Frank eating?
he is, BR, his appetite is quite good
Well, a trifecta
there you go :-)
Are you at home?
we are BR, and it is good :-)

Did my last word in Lickety, but saving it later for Babble
nominate the weird word of the day - AD 5/16 which means (in ancient worship) a sacred place that the public was forbidden to enter; an inner shrine.
Hiya Teach
good evening smores
relaxing with Babble after doing Thanksgiving dinner today
what about me5/14=poop

have seen me 5 before but not the AD 5
hi again, back to find my last 29 words

:)
Hi peri, flosey :)
hi smores
hi everyone
hi Gwen :)
you name is making me crave, hmm, something, smores! lol
Hi everyone :)
craving something chocolate.......... and on the 8th day, God made chocolate!!
chocolate, and crackers, and peanut butter!
oh, I have a weakness for choc & pb
1/2 bag of creme de menth chips, 1/2 a pkg choco almond bark, melted together. dip ritz crackers in the mixture and you have Girl Scouts Thin Mint cookies.
have you ever made a pb sandwich, add bits of chopped chocolate, and toast it
(((flosey))) how are you? haven't "seen" you in ages. hey all, taking a quick break from whatever I was avoiding...
those both sound great, smores and flosey
hi stid, have been in and out, not always finishing
hey stiddy
flosey, no, but it sounds pretty good!
yum, gwen - good dark chocolate
dark chocolate is the best kind
I mostly don't play these days, when I get home I am pretty beat.
nbt woot
snags, that sounds really nice
go gwen go!
I have ghiardellis dark chocolate with raspberry in the middle, mmmm good
FW for me
hmph. May have to go get some pumpkin pie and ice cream...
i am not an inventive cook, but here's a goofy recipe from my childhood: jelly (or jam) sandwich with Fritos corn chips in the sandwich. love it.
YAY PERI!!!!!
that would be lovely peri
wtg periwinkle !!!! @ @ !!!!
tyty, now off to play WwF

wtg Peri
had to restart my computer
flosey, we pruned two trees (by the house, the big fig and the medlar) today! Tomorrow if it's dry I hope to dig up the dahlias...
congrats Peri :) WTG
busy, busy stid, as always
how I'd love to have a fig tree - didn't realize they'd grow in these parts but a few friends have them here on the island
we have put the veggie garden to bed for the winter, I have a few greens in the cold frames, but otherwise it's done. I wish I were more physically busy and less computer busy, flosey
hubby planted one - but I may not live to see the fruits of his labour, so to speak
in a sheltered, sunny location (ours are on the east and the south) they do okay. We almost got two crops this year, but needed about two more weeks of sun on either end. Most years we have one decent crop.
I hope you DO make it to enjoy fresh figs. Tom and the boys, and Mother, just love them.
lol...funny I grabbed a handful of dark chocolate m&m's whle I was waiting for my computer to restart
am determined to make it, stid - haha, do my best
love your candle icon, stid
:-) I figure we gardening types are the most optimistic of people. I have plans to put in some new trees next year (really hoping to earn enough to afford it) that won't be mature for quite a while.
Thanks flosey. I found it online of course.
There are a lot of really nice icons on show this morning!
hi liz :)
indeed there are, lizlin. How is Sunday looking to you?
we found some lovely candles in Shoppers Drug Mart - actually made in Canada, not easy to find anymore
We are hoping for a dry day, our son's band always anchors the local "Santa Parade" the last weekend of November.
Beautiful morning - only spoiled by the thought of having to clean the house!
that's nice, flosey. I had trouble finding made in canada things to bring home from our trip this summer. Affordable things, anyway.
ah, house cleaning is SO over-rated! Though we did vacuum the carpet yesterday and it's lovely to sit on again.
Hi mama. Just starting. Hope your day went well.
hi gmere
It is over-rated, but sometimes it has to happen - especially as the ants are on the rampage - it's that time of year!
Hi flosey. I just received some lovely maple tea from Canada.
hello Mother, yes it has been lovely. Slow, but lovely. I needed it. Kid tells me you got all the way to the bike shop and his bike wsn't ready yet. *sigh*
oh, interesting - was it brought back to you? or shipped through the distributor
Yes. Bike probably ready tomorrow. But we had a nice ride and chat. He won't come over on Sunday because I have rehearsal.
Brought to me from my son. They went to Vancouver Island.
The parade starts at 245 tomorrow afternoon. We will be downtown earlier, of course.
I tried to send tea to a friend in CA but couldn't send by mail - Post Office said all food stuff has to be shipped through the distributor
Maple tea - sounds good. I'll look out for it next year.
I might be able to twist Tom's arm and finagle a supper afterward before riemann goes home
Probably true. These customs laws are strange.
I wondered where those boxes of tea came from, hope they had a good time, Mother.
Anything seems improved by maple flavor.
must look for the maple tea, daughter might be interested
oh, I have a weakness for the dark maple syrup, #3
They found Canada expensive. And they thought the grocery stores interesting.
interesting? in what way?
Lovel maple syrup - use it to sweeten the granola I make
They are in the grocery business, flosey
I have it on rolled oats, mornings'
I like the darker syrups, too -- the ultra-fine "grade A" stuff is too wimpy for my peasant palate
The canned goods and offerings were not the same as in the U.S. It is hard for U.S. folks to realize that Canada, even though we share a language with much of it, is foreign.
Back later. Enjoy your evenings :)
By liz.
have a lovely day, liz!
bye for now liz :)
we're pushing to get everything labelled non gmo
yes. Canada is truly filled with wonderful and amazing and surprising things... :-) I love visiting there.
That would be nice to know if things re gmo or not.
for sure, since Monsanto is determined to 'take over'
down to 52. Eyes are shot. back later if I can. SO glad I got to see you here today flosey! Our best to mr. flo. **puts lovely victorian-style pumpkin pie in PB (molasses and ginger, no nutmeg or cinnamon)** *poof*
sounds good stid, perhaps I'll slip up just to get a slice
and my phantom of the moment is cemetery
that's a grave thought
May I please have a clue for er7-32? Thanks

note to Wildcat in my profile.
hi folks - thank you, ru. i asked her about the money in another game we both play - no answer. she mysteriously signs off whenever i'm there. she should still be ashamed of herself.
funny that Babble's profile quote for today is: Forgiveness is like faith. You have to keep reviving it. ~Mason Cooley. My take is that you can forgive, but not always forget.
she is lower than pond scum
horrible thing that she did
personally very hurtful to me as well
you know, i gave her so much latitude and benefit of the doubt. i trusted her. she pretty much reminded me that, no matter how people portray themselves online, this is the INTERNET - and even if your profile says you engage in a noble profession, it doesn't mean you're not a thief.
hi again all!
hi sue.
*agrees with welki and ruru*
hope things at home are improving
hey sue
they are, ruru, slowly - it's been quite a journey
hope you pour yourself a nice big glass of wine and kick your feet up tonight, sue
don't have any wine but you reminded me I do have some very nice beer that I have been promising myself!
Hello babble friends....sue glad to hear things are improving...slow but sure
hi river!
well there you go! *passes sue the john wayne*
hi, river
at least you get to relax at home while waiting on your man...
As unfortunate as it was, I hope that was a lesson learned about people on the internet. They are not always the way they present themselves and blind trust to someone you have never met is probably ill advised.
*sips appreciatively*
welki and ruru...I dont understand your earlier post
yes I learned that one for sure. I just didn't expect it here among so many nice people
I have not been on for a couple of days...so obviously I missed something
river, we took up a collection for mrp and lickety a while back and a member set up an account - we trusted her to send the money to them. nope. we was robbed.
my daughter has been home from school so no time for computer....
I contributed to that as well....I never knew she didnt get it
mr p and lickety were in great need.. a bunch of us sent a lot of money.. not a penny made it to Australia
we have dont that so many times in the past with no problems.....I am sorry to hear this and it pisses me off!
I wonder if wildcat steals money of of street people's cups too
I believe the Paypal money did. Just not the personal checks sent.
we figured something went sideways, but all questions were deflected or ignored. no explanation, nothing. and while she probably has the 'right' to be here because she went pro, it's impossible to believe the audacity she displays by showing up here (and at another word game site)
my point exactly
does she still show up...I havent seen wildcat in a very long time
her profile says she works with the developmentally disabled - food for thought
she's here right now river
she engages with a vulnerable population on a daily basis. scary.
Wildcat...show yourself and explain!
She probably plays with chat turned off.
or says she does. can't believe a word she writes now, can we?
I wouldn't believe anything she says .. ever
this is terrible...poor MrP was struggling for so long and both Mrp and Lickety gave us alot with the cheat sheets....all that came out of their pocket
I know.. it was awful for me
personally I wouldn't find any explanation she would give to be particularly useful or convincing
I really wanted to help mr p
HI all & yikes! I hope never to deal with that Pond Scum. I always feel as though the people here are very genuine and caring, I guess we have to be very careful. Instant karma will be her fate!
here's hopin'
her/him? not sure!
most of us did, ru. pathetic slime.
hi scrambler! I have met a number of babblers in person and have found them all to be wonderful people. So sorry that one person has poisoned the experience.
her..
how long was that person around?
her name is Lisa Juarez or something like that
yes, that's her name
thanks for the heads up!!
profile says she joined in 2008, so a while
will have to check FB and see if she is on my friends list
In general though I do feel good around everyone else. Everyone is always so helpful and genuinely interesting and caring.
It's a good idea, no matter how "nice" a group seems to approach "real life" interactions with caution. Seriously, this is just words on a screen.
well, that's enough vitriole for me. *clink* here's to the good people of babbleland!
Hi all. I just arrived and wud like to say that I am practically perfect in every way, just like Mary Poppins.
I will have to block her on FB even though I haven't friended her I shall block her! Pray for INSTANT KARMA!!!
I will drink to that welki
*clinks with bugsaw*
<---agrees with bugsaw, she is indeed practically perfect
ha! just looked at your profile, bugs! from one crone to another!
back to babbling, babble on and here's mud in her eye! hahaha!
ROFL uusue!!! You are the first person in the world who agreed with me! I will love you forever
Speaking of drinks, I fixed hubby some hot apple juice with cinnamon and cloves, then went to the store. Came home, house stilled smelled cinnamon-y. Turns out he fell asleep and spilled it!
((((bugsaw))))
anyone up for a funny story?
hi, gwen - hmmm, sounds like he might have put something "calming" into the cider!
sure, bugs!
Even the dog smelled good (for a while)
oh no, gwen, he spilled it on the dog?
hi bugsaw,se,gwenski, welki, river and ruru, it's nice to be back babbling daily again.
LOL - ohhh, lassie, you smell like mulled cider!
Mostly spilled on himself, and a bit on the dog.
* waiting on the funny story *
what happened to your horse photo, gwen? season over?
I hate anything that has to do with funny
it's true. ru hates funny. ask anyone.
Horse photo? I don't recall one of those on my profile.
I thought funny was disapproved of here.
don't you do dressage?
I asked my son to measure his girlfriend's hand around the knuckles so I cud make her a pair of fingerless gloves for Christmas. Now she thinks he is buying her a ring and keeps telling him, "you don't need to measure my knuckles. I am a size 7"
not gwen (about the horse photo) - scrambler
He is in so much trouble......
Welki, you have me mixed up with someone else.
oops, bugs! Hope she doesn't have her hopes up too much!!
oh.. bugs is setting a trap
Poor girl, and poor son ... Christmas will be just full of non-surprises.
what's the point of fingerless gloves though..it's it the fingers that get cold?
isn't it I mean
<--Doesn't get fingerless gloves
mrs ru has fingerless gloves .. never could figure it out
so they can TEXT, ru! LOL
yes but with your gloves on you can't operate your smart phone, ruru
and phones are everything to youngish girls
Oh my God
Or when playing a musical instrument outdoors.
^5 sue
yes, particularly the icicle trombone
yes, marching band members use fingerless gloves too
also rock climbers (I know this from a previous life)
yep - one of the reasons my kids opted out *brrrrrr*
wouldn't that be like men's underwear with a giant hole in front?
i'm all for that, ru
snort....
*shouting* Hey, hon! Gimme yer drawers!! I need to make an adjustment!
I don't knit those ruru. Hope you aren't expecting some for Christmas!
not at Thanksgiving dinner welki
lost my internet connection for a minute..got it back just in time
why not? i'm thankful
Giant..heh..heh
self-perception, molly - LOLOLOL
and here I thought men's underwear DID have holes in front...
but not GIANT ones :)
*well if the shoe fits*
Not any mens underwear I've seen
*shrug* no matter to me. i'm happy for mrs. ru
specialty stores?
egads, all these hooks for one liners!!
new championship photo coming up hehehee
*Scratches head and wonders where Sue bought underwear for her son*
odd lots? LMAO
*waiting for scrambler's new pic*
well, maybe not a *hole* exactly, but...
LOL
notice how this has turned away from you, ru - and to sue! now how did you DO that?
only women could argue about men's underwear
we're not arguing - i'd bet that most of us are ~~wondering~!
I remember when my son first got big boy underwear - I showed him how to use the, what shall we call it, access port - he thought it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen
I was hoping it'd be a brief discussion welki
access port!! oh my goodness. this is too funny!
I do all the laundry here and see 2 difference types ....interesting what is comfortable for one and not the other
(his dad was not really in the picture so I played both roles for quite a while, with mixed success, apparently)
That's weird. I don't know any guys who actually use that thing.
<-- noticed ru's groaner
only a scientist would call it an access port....go Sue!
:D
well, I learned that later on, Molly. Who knew?
That's what I was thinking River : D
<--- noticed Ru's groaner too but is very bad at puns
my boys thot getting a cup was the funniest thing going. They all ran outside and challenged their friends to kicking them in the nuts and then both kids rolled on the ground laughing.
uhm - if they don't use the ***access port*** how is ***access*** attained?
took me a minute
I think the term is "whip it out" Welki.
that's my Cambi, 4th nationally :3
out, as in over the elastic?
I remember when my son was very young and told him it was OK to go outside next to a tree...he would drop them all to the ankles....LMAO seeing him out there peeing on the tree ballsy bare ass!
you guys are a riot!
apparently that is the preferred method, welki
owie - that would hurt, whipping it out over elastic! i vote for ***access port***
lmao
Yeah, it's a lot easier than maneuvering through that pointless mini fly
i don't spend enough time in men's bathrooms.
I wouldnt catch him doing that anymore...lol!
maybe that'll be my new year's resolution
which begs the question of why manufacturers even bother with the complications of constructing the access port
there you go, welki :-)
what spending time in mens bathrooms welki?
Welki: Urinal Monitor
if one is shy they need an alternative....
open the pod bay too HAL! HAHAHA
hot damn! the things we learn. my husband calls it a "torture port"
I had three boys. Trust me. Not even an 8 year old could comfortably use that pointless front opening.
OOPS Open the Pod Bay Door HAL! :3
well.....we wont go any further than there you lucky lady
ROFL scrambler
:3
all these years, i never noticed he's a whip it out type of guy!
sorry......the tears are rolling now
I guess I dont know what I am missing
cats are looking at me weird, lmao!
*hands river some toilet paper* because it's appropriate
me too River. Where are all the men during this? Laughing or putting bags over their heads
OMG...I love you all
I think Id better go do the dishes.
wow, we figured out how to get men to do the dishes! :-)
sure, ru - you do the "dishes" - i'm going to have some "pie"
I went to a lot of outdoor parties. I've seen a lot of guys walk off to a tree, unzip and do the over and out maneuver. (From behind that is)
g'night folks :)
night, welki!
can't wait to try access port on mrs ru
<3 I don't even want to tell you where the male horse grooms go at the horseshoes!! hahaha
ok, no way am I touching THAT line, ruru!
Molly, when a guy walks over to a tree you aren't supposed to look, let along very carefullly !
Bugs, these guys are musicians. They so don't care.
we can only hope for a good butt shot
oops laughing so hard can't type, last word should have been horseshoes!
i guess I must sign off and go play some other game before I get in trouble...good night folks
oops self correction unit did it! hmmm
shows with a w!
night river!
btw, scrambler, very nice horse - Frank is a horse person also (although I am not)
Access port discussion over. Back to puppies and kitties.
(((Hugs))) to all my babble friends - I am thankful for you all...
(p.s. scrambler - pic doesn't show up for me in your profile yet - will check tomorrow)
(((river)))
I had to reload her profile, welki, but then it showed up
I guess it isn't soup yet! hahah!
Ah! There it is!!! I knew you competed in dressage!! Gorgeous!!!
JUST FOR FUN: The husband leans over and asks his wife, 'Do you remember the first time we had sex together over fifty years ago? We went behind the village tavern where you leaned against the back fence and I made love to you.' Yes, she says, 'I remember it well.' OK,' he says, 'How about taking a stroll around there again and we can do it for old time's sake?' Oh Jim, you old devil, that sounds...like a crazy, but good idea!' A police officer sitting in the next booth heard their conversation and, having a chuckle to himself, he thinks to himself, I've got to see these two old-timers having sex against a fence. I'll just keep an eye on them so there's no trouble. So he follows them. The elderly couple walks haltingly along, leaning on each other for support aided by walking sticks. Finally, they get to the back of the tavern and make their way to the fence The old lady lifts her skirt and the old man drops his trousers. As she leans against the fence, the old man moves in.. Then suddenly they erupt into the most furious sex that the policeman has ever seen. This goes on for about ten minutes while both are making loud noises and moaning and screaming. Finally, they both collapse, panting on the ground.
The policeman is amazed. He thinks he has learned something about life and old age that he didn't know.. After about half an hour of lying on the ground recovering, the old couple struggle to their feet and put their clothes back on. The policeman, is still watching and thinks to himself, this is truly amazing, I've got to ask them what their secret is. So, as the couple passes, he says to them,' Excuse me, but that was something else. You must've had a fantastic sex life together. Is there some sort of secret to this?' Shaking, the old man is barely able to reply, 'Fifty years ago that wasn't an electric fence.
hahaha gwenski!
tyvm welki
gwenski that is terrible but funny
pretty cute :-)
we are BOTH LAUGHING OUT LOUD! (and I'm not even here!)
Seemed to be appropriate, based on the last conversation thread!
<---Scared of Welki who is here but not here.
Thanks for the enjoyable evening, all! I'll have to join in on the fun again very soon. Bye!
Hello all
{{{riverdance}}} long time no see!!
hi jillyjill, having fun here tonite
Mine's doing ours now :-)
bye, gwenski!
and hi Jilli!
THat I can see!! Love to join in the laughter...
HI again uusue.
bye for now gwenski
bye gwenski
Mine's doing ours now???
Just finished putting up 6 TV dinners. Still have turkey for 2 or 3 more dinners plus the carcass to make broth.
Hubby is doing the dinner dishes molly
ah. I hesitated to ask, since jilli's comment came after gwenski's story, I was afraid her hubby was doing something involving fences
You have no idea what was running through my head after that joke. The dishes thing was ten minutes ago or so.
bye gwenski
Sorry, chog went crazy as it loaded, the comment I refered to was uusue about teaching men to do dishes...LOL
Oh geez...just read Gwen's story...tears running down my face...
Just a fun night!
now you understand our hesitancy to ask exactly what it was your hubby was up to, Jill!
I know. Mine's doing ours now after that joke made me think "Man, those Montana women really live it up on Thanksgiving weekend."
and they certainly have no shortage of electric fences, I'll bet...
*hides in embarrasment*
prior to that it was about...access ports, pod bay doors etc.
It's okay Jilly. He's only doing the dishes. Your church lady rep is still inta4.
<----amazed at how I've buffaloed molly with a pristine angelic persona
brb
by jillyjill
<----steps gingerly back into chog
hi jill! It seems to be quiet now :-)
LOL...don't want any reputation challenging posts
:-)
Good EveniËœg Everyone. How are you all tonight?
hi, nef!
(((nef)))
Hi sue; how's Frank doing tonight?
asking for crackers. brb. :-)
hi Jilly; how'sthings in MT tonight?
hi nef, :3
hi all. any clues for the 8?
re8/45=return to old times+profession of the stage
hi scrambler and mgk. I'm not doing the grid today; just got here for the first time tonight (My internet is rather wonky and won't stay up); so just here for a short chat.
re 8/45 word is re 5/10 plus what a thespian does mkg.
Hello Nef! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log.
Hi Minveryork!
Things are nice in MT, 4 day weekend and wonderful fun with the friends we/ve done Thanksgiving with for 20 years
How was your Thanksgiving nef?
Hello scrambler! How was your Thanksgiving this year?
ok, found some crackers that aren't too high in fiber. Complicated diet he's on.
hi min!
sounds good, Jilly. My kids have been on a "Dr. WHo" kick for the past 2 days; my grandson loves everything Dr. Who and TARDIS connected and I'm about sick of it myself now... I'm so glad my dtr. only borrowed the David Tenant series rather than owning them.
i have a tr 5. i dont see return. i dont get it yet. re: revisit? return? i dont get it to return to old times. and i am confused. i will see what re 5s i have.
LOL, my oldest (30) is a Dr Who fan too...
re+***jan horse
ty got it. ty ty
DH and I watched it back in the 70's and 80's; but the newer stuff seems weirder
yvw
ok onward to more words.
I think so too, but gotta give it some time..I'll be drowing in it when he is home Dec 15th!
Go mkg...not too bad a grid today, only a few weird words today...lots of phantoms though
i have 95 words and doubt i will get much more. tired.
need other y word for bottom row y, besides shout hurrah, is to shout ye**>
also need o word for furthest right column o please.
Hello uusue2! How was your Thanksgiving with Frank?
ya5/16= add a vowel to the middle of the word for land in back of house (apologizes for clue)
That ya5/16 word is y plus oxygen plus consonant mkg
it was good, min, Thanksgiving was the day he got out of the hospital
ty min got it.
that o is a babblet mkg, from the 4 letters in the corner
yw
ty jilly got it.
That's great! How has he been doing since he's been at home? I am so glad that he was able to be home on TG.
He's getting better slowly, min, still in a lot of pain but gradually getting stronger (hasn't made it back downstairs yet, though)
his appetite is very good, which is a good sign
that's so good to hear, sue.
He might be stuck upstairs, but at least he is back home.
did he walk upstairs himself, Sue?
he did when we got home, nef, but not since
means I have to do all the running up and down, but that is ok, I need the exercise!
Is he still trying to walk around hourly?
Just read your caring Bridge post, Sue. I wish I was closer so I could help... Do you have some sort of online grocery company there?
not exactly but he gets to the bathroom almost that often, jill
Hi all - looks quite positive about Frank Sue - especially to read that he has a good appetite :)
and thanks, nef, I've already had two friends offer to go shopping, so now I just need to make a list
hi liz! yes, appetite is indeed good!
LOL...any movement is good. Is he taking his pain meds so he doesn't let the pain get ahead of him?
he is, jill, and I am keeping track of them (mostly)
Good, it is a long process to heal, especially with two surgeries so close.
And are YOU taking care of yourself too, Sue? Your Caring Bridge post sounds like you're exhausted.
I am working on it, nef, I have selected a very small subset of what needs to get done and am not worrying about the rest at the moment
right now I am having a beer, and plan to sleep well :-)
As Nef said, you must take care of yourself, so you're not to exhausted to look after Frank. Beer sounds good!
You also need to have someone stay with him while you go off and take a nap and then a little "girl friend time" with a friend and laughter
that would be nice, nef - I do have someone coming over Monday but it's so I can get a thyroid ultrasound
That doesn't count uusue!
That should be on your list too...
I know but it's a half hour drive away, maybe I will take myself out to lunch before or after
Maybe ask a friend (from church?) for a few hours tomorrow. Your plans for Monday won't give you the break you need
and the car drive itself is relaxing (through the cornfields, no traffic - and you know I like to drive!)
Not the same thing at all!!!!!
Poor uusue...we all ganged up on her...
:-) It could also put you to sleep behind the wheel if you're too tired, Sue...
good idea, nef, I'm not planning to go myself but I can get a message to the people running the program
oh, I'm not THAT tired, and it's in the middle of the day which should be ok
that's ok, jill, I know that if you were here you'd be right over :-)
You still need time with good friends, who can give you a big hug, if and when you need it@
Sorry - no more ganging up from me!
okay. I need to go take care of some laundry; so I'll back off (but I'm a person who likes to drive and can fall asleep at the wheel too)
You bet I would!!
actually today is the first day since we went to the hospital Nov. 9 that no one (except my son) has visited
Bye nef!
Bye nef
don't worry, nef, I really do appreciate your insight, and will be careful. You take care too!!
Did I hear a call for people to nag at sue to take care of herself? *stern mama look* *wicked mama grin*
hi, stid!
you're up later than I would be, sue ... it's only 8:30 here.
I am going to fall asleep soon, though.
I slept late - didn't get up until about 9:30
nice!
and I am stretched out in the recliner, watching TV and babbling
Hi there stid! I'm still trying to unstuff from yet another turkey feast + pumpkin pie...
Grant was asleep until well past noon today. He really needed it.
Clue for co 5/ 14 - the one after the shooting star
pls
mmmm. second-day feast, jilly? the one you were talking about yesterday?

Goodbye uusue2!I will see you tomorrow in the chat log

Alcohol!!!!!!!
fw!!!!! thank you for all the clues
WooT WooT WooT Lizlin!!
It's a gecko...my new favorite crature
*creature
Loads of geckos here at night!
thought it was also a make of wine or sherry but perhaps I'm confused - hence the alcohol!
We had them at the condo we were at in Kona...one became our special pet..
Might be lizlin...not a sherry person myself, now, name a gin..got that!
They're very cute but when I first saw them in Malaysia and thought they were like newts, was told about their claws.
Can take or leave sherry but for me, a good single malt or vodka is just fine. Or a good red wine. Not that I drink much!
And they make a chirping/clicking sound.
The only voiced lizards
Learned that at a trivia quiz evening
Tasted some great reds people brought to Thanksgiving, but usually prefer whites-Gewurztraminer is my favorite
I recalled that trivia question myself!
A good white is nice too! As long as a wine doesn't taste of vinegar ...!
Well, I probably should toddle off to bed to stay on schedule somewhat. Thanks for a great chat!
Time to have some hubby time - happy man! Australia close to beating South Africa in cricket. Thanks again for the help. See you later. Sleep well.
Have a great time with hubby! *poof*
Congratulations Lizlin on your fireworks!Hooray for you
Goodnight Jillyjill! I will see you tomorrow in the chat log.
How big will next grid be? I guess it will be 111 words.
