hi, all. sorry about that
good morning all, could you clue the 8s in a different way as I didn't understand those clues
Jenny, the ones I have are st8/45 - balanced more evenly. ei8 - Albert the genius and re8/65 - makes something broad again.
thanks Hax I just need the S in the top corner for nbs and nbt
si4/5 comes from there.
ci7 & ci8 - large walled town
ty for the ei8 Haz
You're welcome, one more to go.
there is an en8 but i don;t have it yet
en8 - ends like fan****** (amazing, wonderful)
Thanks.
all, my heart is burdened for my mother. She told my daughter on Christmas that her cancer has returned, and that she may be facing more surgery and chemotherapy. I have not heard anything directly from her, because she does not want to "worry" me...but she may not realize that what I can imagine may be far worse than what is really happening. So, I am called to pray for her, harder than I have ever prayed before.
I am very sorry to hear about your mother, Angelsong, my thoughts are with you
Just popped in. So sorry to hear about your mother, Angel. That is a heavy burden indeed. I will pray for healing for her and strength for you.
thank you, hydra
((Angelsong's mother+ family))
so very sorry, Angel . . . love to you and your family
Hello, All...yay..a decent sized grid.

good thing i can walk to work!
*royal wave* Good morning, loyal Babble subjects!
Good morning your majesty
morning all
Lonely here at the office this a.m. I'm the only one here.
Hi Hursh. Did you draw the short straw Judi?
Not that I'm aware of, Molly. The other secretary is supposed to be here, but I have no clue where she is.
Me alone in a police department. The likelyhood of complete anarchy is very high.
Oooo!!
just dug the car out.14 inches of fresh snow and still falling!!
Yuck. I don't miss that, Crossy.
get the snow shoes ready and the wine skin of cherry whiskey!!
though the digging part was not fun:(
Gotta keep a flame thrower handy. Much faster than a snow blower - or a shovel for that matter.
lol, hardware store is fresh out of flame throwers..shhh..though if you go to a construction equipment rental place and ask for a tiget torch, you will get something pretty close hehe
tiger torch*
I'll keep that in mind. I think it would be much more efficient than a snow blower.
uses a lot of propane though
Plus, it would melt any ice that may be under the snow.
Propane burns cleaner than gasoline.
that it does
and you will impress the hell out of your neighbours
*sigh* Would probably set the garage on fire.
"most likely:)
Off to do some work (that doesn't involve fire). See y'all later. *POOF*
i shall plink around in here and gardens of time then go shovel the car off again
morning all :)
hi smores!

right now I'm going for anything I see...lol
I am not having a lot of success with either a
The easy a'a are ai4 and an4. The other ones are weird.

awww. i had to leave early because of weather. it was as good as to be expected
your table looks lovely
I hope so. Meanwhile I've got a cookshop catalogue to look at. Do I need three different melon shapers? They're reduced in price.
Thank you, TO.
lol can't have enough melon shapers (ballers?)
If they make three different shapes, then why not?
ooh good looking recipes on today show. pork loin chili.
with bourbon
One's a baller (have two already) the others are kind of square looking. They're different to anything I've seen before.
wow. i would so buyt them. then neer use them.
neVer
le7.32?
I've put an x beside them and will make the final decision later.
heaier
le 7 - more of the le 4
le7/32 - comparatively pencil-like?
haz, you might enjoy the pensey's catalog. many of their recipes use their own blends (and you can find out what is in them) but others just use single herbs and spices.

Ouch. Fish slap. Yes it does. TY!
uh oh... just heard something thump against the house
TY Car..
SANTA?!?!?!
are you having storms, TO?
Last time something thumped against my house, it was Hubs falling off the ladder.
now car, you know that he only comes back to take the gifts of children who do not behave between the holidays. our parents' brilliant way to cope with 10 days of wound up indoor kids.
bye x
Bye coolgirl! Have a great day!
Well, TO...I thought MAYBE you might be misbehaving....
i wish.
lol...
hahaha - just looked at the weather for my dad's town on Weatherbug (he lives in NJ) - I think their thermometer is broken, it says it is 126.7F !
TO, I remember being on a school trip to the zoo. One of the other mothers pointed to a heap of meat in the polar bears' enclosure and announced, 'That is what happened to a child who did not obey!'
Is that NJ on Mercury by any chance?!?!?!
wow are you a scientist or something? :P
lol...
must be, car!! :-)
Oh Haz!!!!
omg haz!
Help for de6,24 please?
oh haz...that is crazy
I need a remedial clue for that de 6/24...I am just not getting it.
She was American, funnily enough. I wondered if it was a standard method of child control!
Hello Erda! You are in the grid today!
de6/24 - ends in the facial twitch
Oh! I got it! Sounds like the Boston basketball team, but change the first letter to D.
de6 - computer company minus las cons + facial twitch.
no, i think the santa thing was enough. that and living around your family, no need for demonic eles on sheles.
A lot of good that does me, car...
THANK YOU, Bzzn
poor nj /ny shore has flooding again and high winds
Hi Bzznbea!
thnx bzzn
i feel so awful for that whole area.
My 10 year old had a complete meltdown a couple of days before Christmas. Between the school shooting and those people not having homes for Christmas...he was just a mess.
(((car))) it is so hard to explain these things to kids! Hope he is feeling better now.
a lot of stuff to process, poor kid. guess there is no way to keep it from s kid that age
He's obviously a soft-hearted boy with a lot of empathy for others.
ohhh...car....that is sad, but sweet
Oh yes. I think he just needed to get it out and cry. He is an emotional soul, that is for sure.
It brought tears to my eyes, when he put together the families that had lost their children...and that presents had already been bought...it was horrible.
yes, it is very heart breaking
we were all crying Friday when the bells here went off
speaking as one who had to decide whether to bury a parent right before or rifht oafter christmas, the timing certinaly added to the hell
(((TO)))
sue, two years ago. others have it much worse.
{{ TO}} tragic enough without the Holiday
{[TO}}
It was just hard to watch him figure it all out...I want to protect him from everything that hurts, but I can't.
I know, we can't protect them from everything, just be there for them is all we can do
especially when it is such a senselss and evil thing
And I cannot promise him it will never happen again.
and certainly are feeling and grieing the same, with no answers.
yes TO, especially then, there is no explaning or making sense of, just hugs and tears
feels helpless
two years is not a long time, TO, I am sure you are grieving again with the holiday
is haz still here? has she finished?
I'm here.
sue: i am ok.
I am sorry....I did not mean to make everyone sad.
We were talking about the rebuilding of NJ....
I was looking up a youtube video. My daughter helped to arrange a 'flash mob' welcome for a family who had won a prize from the Northern Ireland Tourist Board. The prize was tickets home but they also had a musical welcome from Belfast Community Gospel Choir. http://tinyurl.com/dx7xg9m
WONDERFUL!!!!!!
It's okay car
oh no, car. oooh, i am going to look that up as soon as i check the dryer.
that's great Haz
Ugh. TY for reminding me I have laundry to do. And I really need to work.
I wish you all a wonderful day! Stay in and stay cozy if weather is an issue. {{hugs}} all around!!!
Bye, car.
Help for en8 please?
howdy again everyone:)
Hi and Bye Crossy!
en8 - mix up the number after nine, then put on the ending of stretchy el7.
hello crossy
TY Haz -- now, THAT' s some word...
You're welcome, Erda.
ty haz
bye car
You're welcome.
very cool Haz, is your daughter in the video?
No, she works for the advertising agency who got the choir organised etc.
nice job
They asked people to say why they would want to come home for Christmas. She said it was heartrending!
The family who won hadn't been home for six years and without the competition wouldn't have had any hope of coming for years to come
wow! from where did they come?
From Ohio.
what a great contest.
I just love the singing - they're belting it out with gusto!
ah, i hae not yet seen the word that used x, stats pls?
ad5/24
ty
just watched the video, haz, made me weep! Very touching and wonderful.
I know, it's one of those where you can't help but feel the emotion of the whole thing.
ugh, heating pad has timed out, I suppose I had better get up and stretch my shoulder
Do you stiffen up sitting at the computer?
no, my shoulder has been acting up due to my damaged neck, probably due to stress and anxiety
(my neck damage came from a couple of accidents long ago)
I must go try to nap, have to work tonight
I see. It must be painful.
bye smores!
have a wonderful day all :)
I've had three fusions already, haz, and am hoping I don't need any more for a while
bye smores. sorry to hear, sue.
anyway, bbs
Bye smores.
Look after yourself, sue.
haz what a loely gospel sound that choir achieves!
I know, I was really impressed.
need more news stories like that one.
i hate when carols are sung as dirges. at 7 am there was just the choir director and she sang so slowly that the non singers could not een join in carols comfortably.
Certainly if something is intended for congregational singing it should be sung in an accessible way.
Okay, time I was shifting myself. Are you nearly finished, TO?
well she wouldn't sing the iroquois carol last year when I requested it so i am not a fan. but you know, if one cannot sing one cannot sustain notes when the tempo is funereal, i mean, it's christmas. be joyful!
nice to see you, haz. i have 39 left butremaining laundry needs to be removed and folded. catch you later.
All the best, TO, see you again.
And bye all.
Is it me or is this grid extra nasty?
I'm kind of so-so about it.
Of course, an 8-year old WOULD be...
Well, I enjoy being young at heart.
howdy Babblers
Hiya Aloy
hi aloy, molly, and erda!
hi Erda.. and sue and molly.. babble/laundry time
Hi uusue
how many words can I find before the wash cycle is over? LOL.. Babble "lightens the load"
indeed it does, aloy!
.. always miss that "sucking the oxygen out" word, see it now
thanks aloy, I had missed it too!
(-: yw
.. and he ***** in the house of the Lord forever
sorry, thinking aloud
best way to think snuffy
hi all
hi jmc!
talk to myself too, hi jmc!
how goes it uu?
ok, jmc, my shoulder is bothering me today so I am taking it easy. Frank is doing well.
"sucking the oxygen out" Vacuum pump is not in the grid.
hi BR
Hello
no, but a rather strange word describing what a vacuum pump does is, BR (and hi!)
brb, down to 32.. pax, BR..
220 left :-)
Must be a we 7/48
brb boy is here
time for my nap, bbl!
any clue for the en8 ?
bye, jmc, happy snoozing, sue
sure, it is a fan****** word, chita
en8 ends like el***** bands that you use for ponytails
have a conundrum - clothesline is strung between two palm trees and the sea grape is growing so fast that some of its branches are preventing me from hanging clothes on one end of the line.. need to prune but hate to do it
finally got it...kept forgetting the t...thanks all
life is just full of problems, lol
do you really need the space - can you tie clothesline somewhere else
especially when I am brain dead today
Can you put up a second line?
back
thinking about that.. this spot is ideal, not shaded
aloy must have run outside to try one of our suggestions
can you run two lines. . . one higher and one lower?
could just purchase some clothesline poles instead of using the palm trees! silly problem but fun to think about
:-)
would need a ladder, jmc.. probably would fall off and break my neck
hauling wet towels up the ladder
no make one of them at waiste level and one higher. . .
oh.. h'mm
used to have wooden poles to help prop up the line - could you use those to push the line away from the sea grapes
stats for one of the last column i words for nbt please
aha! great idea, teach, ty!
oh good id** wv!
in 6/21
haha pb snuffy
hmmm ty bich
stat for one of the bottom a's, pls
nbt
oops, blush.. off I go to the pb, hoping some christmas chocos are still there
an4/8
Hello all, jmc, bichon, wvteach, aloy and lurkers
an 4/8 - not old
hi Jilly
there were dozens of cookies yesterday i think you will still find some snuffy
will put some of the pumpkin bread there
hi jilly
ty teach
looking around the pb.. yup, still some yummies and lots of crumbs - where's the vac?
in the closet. . . .
*wakes up cabana boys to help look*
aloy combs hair, puts on a bit of lipstick and a smile
you look great snuffy
well, if I had known the cabana boys were on duty..
their holiday break is over. . .
thank goodness! wow, what a view!
*cabana boys faint at the sight of aloy's beauty*
no wonder they never clean up the place!
tsk!
*throws water on cabana boys*
oh dear oh dear, grabs smelling salts and fans
did we give the boys anything for Christmas?
fans are too much work! haha *refills pitcher with water*
like massage oil?
depends on what you are massaging i guess ;-)
what is that oil body builders use to show off their muscles?
oil. . . you are right
vaseline i think maybe
PB is always fun!! *Hands out choclits to cabana boys*
h'mm, must be something better... oh, no, I have it mixed up with VapoRub that we used to have smeared on our chests
if you are old enough to remember
whoosh that would be hard to take all over your body for a long time. . .
my mother never used it but my scout leader did one time on a camping trip. . . phew!
Now that we are in our childhood, who remembers mercurocrome (sp?) that was put on cuts, scrapes etc.?
oh yes stung like all get outs
ok, crumbs up.. I'll skip the cookies and go for a dark chocolate.. oh yes Jilly, and Ichthymol, the black stuff you put on boils
stung like bloody hell...
blow on it and count!
I swear part of that was a way to make us cowboy up...you wouldn't come running in with any minor injury...LOL
true, Jilly!
haha kids would come running to me saying the boy was hurt and i would ask if anything was broken or bleeding and if they said no i would say i would come eventually. . . no rush

I'm in and out....kids are home and things are kind of insane
hi Harry.. I hear you (-:
multi-tasking - making pot of soup, cleaning up kitchen, snacking
fun day when you can do what you want to do
and then there's that pile of ungraded lab reports which keeps calling me, and I keep ignoring it
when you want to do it that is
good day just to stay inside
oh boy, I remember that too, Harry!
ugh one of my least favorite things
yup, need to focus and look at so many details
multiple choice is just *so* much more pleasant :)
I should give multiple choice lab reports :)
sigh.. I never figured out how to do that
ok - have a good day - bbl I hope. 139 still to go.
you too, Harry.. gl with those reports.. give em all A's, lol
hint for the al 6/21, pls

yvw bichon
and now for those wascally w's
ty for the sl 7 Aloy
yw, have never heard anyone use that toast
You must not know any Irish people.
aloy has not been here on Friday night
we have an Irish pub in town, but I don't frequent it, so .. ah, hi hego.. is that the Friday night toast?
now I know!
see, Babble is a great educator
when Soodle and molly are here, it is.
ok.. and what shade is the beer with which one makes this toast?
It's pronounced "Slawncha"
brown, being Guiness of course.
never would have know that either, ty Molly!
of course.. ok!
loved Ireland
It's not particular to any shade of beer. Any spirit will do, preferably Irish whiskey.
preferably
only stopped in Shannon once on a T.A. flight.. engine trouble.. but I remember the gorgeous view from above
Jamison's maybe
think I'll put Ireland on my bucket list
now that I know the toast

i think jill meant sa5/12
oooh, sa5/12 ...lol...just got it
Yep...certainly haven't been eating a lot of that...
i've just had one which is healthy with a takeaway pizza, which is not, but in my defense it was a very thin crust pizza...well, it makes me feel less guilty having it that way anyway :)
lol...unless it was thin crust with extra meat and cheese
Oh Lilliann....you really deserve a break after all....
no, it was mushroom amd sweetcorn :)
it is the season where I re7...lol
mmm...sound yummy...never had sweetcorn on a pizza
don't talk about breaks jill as i should be lying by a pool in 30 degrees at the moment :( but saying that i would give up everything to have my bairn alive so hey, i can live without the holiday :)

Hi Jillyjill!
I didn't even start the grid until now... was too tired last night and went to bed before the flip! That's rare. So Babbling a little from work as I can, but may not be able to finish until after I go home.

Hi
Hey there herin!!
and ty dan2!
Hi everybody. ((((Lilliann))))
hi everyone!
Hi. I am so glad I have calmed down as I would have totally lost my crazies at a store
((soodle)) have you found the irish toast? It's in the grid today!!
I avoid the stores right before and right after Christmas!
OMG...I literally thought you were talking about TOAST! What a doofus!!!
me too! haha!
:)
LOL -- I did too, Champ, and actually googled "Irish toast rye, wheat"
Cheers to champ and scramber!!
I would like a computer Tablet but they are not helping
Actually laughing out loud!!!!
Hi crossy and sorry, lilliann... was called away to do a few things.
I did too ch1212!!!
Oh Soodle...you shouldn't be surprised!
And what did google give you ch1212
And yes I do avoid these places like the plague
When I saw the word I realized ... I already had it. LOL! I was hoping the clue was for the de7/36, which is stumping me... help?
Champ, I have arrived at that wonderful stage of life when very little surprises me!
Me too! Had the 50th bday last week.
ch1212: builds on the de5/12, add vowel and consonant
Wowsers,Champ! Welcome to the other side of the hill. Its actually not too bad over here!!
oh (fish slap) I swear I tried that, jilly! Thank you, thank you. That was my last word.
Happy belated birthday champ! Welcome to the golden years ;)
So far, so good Soodle. WooHOO! Thank you Jillyjill!

Well, must head out to fix dinner...bye all!! *poof*

Crikey. I remember being young, and thinking that people in their thirties were old. God be with the days...................
Thanks herin
tx ch1212!
bye jilly
Actually...the day was more exciting than I would've liked. Husband and 17 year old daughter went to the jewelry store to buy me a present, and the place was held up by gunmen!
Scrambler is that you Miss Green Rabbit?
yw, dan. Yikes champ! Chili calls -- bbl.
Good grief, Champ....
O Champ. Good luck with anyone ever trying to take money from my moth laden purse
re 7/8?
ryans been held up twice in the last month at his store
They came in, made everyone hit the floor, made a fake call to police about a shooting at the movie theater, and stole the most expensive stuff in the cases. Over $1 million worth!
re7/8 - make less narrow again & pl
LOL, if a burglar broke into my house looking for money, I'd help him look!
How can they sift jewellery when most of the time it is unique pieces.
idk. idiots. I hope they're stuck with it. but let's get to the important part...I got a shiny present! ;) We're calling it Blood Diamonds.
The only way to shift jewellery is to break it down into gems and metals. Just saying
ty dan!
Cos, that must have been terrifying for Ryan. And, wow, over a million dollars worth of jewellry???? thats a lot of bling!
yw
did they get caught yet?
Nice Champ
They knew where the good stuff was Soodle. They were well prepared. No cos. Still on the loose.
yeah. ryan wants to get a gun and i said not in the house... leave it at the store but never bring it home
Oh happy birthday ChampFit... is it today?
Hi Cos.
As a jewellery store I would only have mock ups and the good stuff in a big ass safe
It was the 19th neil. Thanks!
hi kap!
Guns do not stop violence
Ass safe?
exactly, herin.
Mine is on Saturday... 2 days away.
They really should've had an armed guard since it's Christmas.
Ooooh, Champ.... a ring? bracelet? necklace?.....
Then belated happy birthday, ChampFit.
It's a ring with sapphires on the band, and little diamond chips above and below. Simple and pretty...just what I wanted!
ae6 please?

Any clue for the A on the bottom row, I want to at least hit NBT today?

yw
I haven't been babbling for a while. The Sandy Hook massacre left me devastated. My son has a gun for shooting pheasants and rabbits, and it terrifies the living daylights out of me. I absolutely hate the thought of a gun in my home.
I just haven't felt like talking
Saw today that they've asked people to quit sending gifts/donations because the town can't handle the deluge! People just want to reach out to them.
I know the feeling Herin ((())))
Hi all
There are still people in need from Hurrican Sandy.
HI Science :-)
Hi Science
This country has seen enough damage done by guns and mad people. I am definitely anti-gun!
Had to close my fb due to crazy gun nuts
I am so glad I am fairly mellow at the moment as the women on the other end of the phone has served 3 customers and ignored my call. I can hear her talking. So glad I am not in the mood to yell something very very rude
I am not anti gun but I do not think western society like Australia or America should have semi or fully automatic weapons as there is no need for them
clue for the 2nd we7?
Agreed underlass
watery ground
But I dont like being harrassed because of my beliefs.
duh tx Bzzn - thought i had tried that
LOL Herin. I find yelling at faceless gobshites on the phone very theraputic. I wouldn't say boo to a goose face to face, but I am a master at roaring into phones. My kids say I should set up a company called Rent A Rant!!
Honestly I have friends that are hunters and they all say the same thing. If you need a semi or fully automatic weapon to hunt PLEASE dont
yw
wi7 please?
I agree herin! those weapons are meant for one thing....killing other people
wi7 - breezier
couldn't agree more about those weapons
huh thought that wasnt possible.. tyvm
I have been on hold for 24minutes. If I had a land line I would have called on that and complained
I hung up because I was about to yell very loudly
i've been on hold w/ Verizon for close to 10 minutes. last time nobody ever answered!
fireworks
maybe send them a strongly worded email, Herin?
is ei8 related to the other ei words? having some monkey malfunctions...
woo hoo cos!
no dan2
apparently we need to be ei8 to find the word :)
All hail Cos! Well done!
ei8 - scientist
now off to pack some more.... tty all soon
ugh! would never have tried that . tx both
thanks for the great clue!
No I am talking to a Manager
Just looking at the Irish TV news.... dreadful snow storms in hte US. Anybody here affected?
I thought that the ei was a proper word
too far south - we got naught but rain yesterday and wind today
Thats good Dan. It looks pretty bad.
Me too! Although it's nippy here today.

wtg Dan
Son just drew my attention to a YouTube video...'wooden spoon prank'... very funny....

Thanks Buss. I would have thought that was a proper noun
ah ok. couldn't figure out how a combo came from two different letters. got them thanks
Ooooh...thanks Bzz!
Soodle, please be aware that there are people here who do not know what Sl7 means. An education is in order. And people...Irish toast...as in toasted bread...SERIOUSLY?
Hey! Don't make fun of the aged!
Happy Belated Birthday Champ. Welcome to The Crone Age. : D

hi good enough!
free clues from ruby!
Two phantom words for me today are elastic and fantastic.
Ummmmm...one isn't a phantom!
your first phantom is a word, min!
and snap, champ!
:)
I have learned to always type my phantoms in the add word box first; they are often snarled up in the grid somehow
Me too uusue. Just because I can't figure out how to get there, doesn't mean I can't.
So it is!I will be joining rubyfoo in the Penalty Box. So sorry
that wa better than my dopy little clues

uusue can your doctor prescribe massage as a therapy so you don't have to pay so much?
sorry you are under the weather, bugs, I hope you feel better soon
oh no, have you seen your doctor sue?
I am getting therapy, bugs, and it involves some manipulation, sort of like massage, but I can ask about actual massage
I have, lilli, I have some medicine and am getting physical therapy
it is not anything like others (like you) are facing but I am afraid to go out and contaminate others. Thank goodness for Babble
hope you and your husband get better soon bugs.my husband has a cold at teh moment, i don't think the heat, airconditioning and germs in the hospital help
well, i hope that your neck and shoulders improve very soon sue.x
I thot you were home from the hospital lilliann. How is the bairn recovering?

she is doing well bugs, we are trying to get a fit to fly letter so we can rebook our holiday as it will do her and us good.one of the policeman who was at the accident last week and who saw her lying on the ground and saw the air ambulance people and other paramedics seeing to her, couldn't believe that she 1,was alive, 2,at home and 3 looking as good as she was

{{lizlin{{ and good nite
Hello Lizlin! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid
hi liz
good night Ruby. hope you sleep well :)
55 to go and it's a bit of a slog this morning!
ta + season before Easter, lilli
it is always wise to keep things slow with a head injury lilliann. how old is she?
goodnight ruby.sweet dreams and tc
thanks sue, how did i miss that?? lol
13.the hospital said she can fly and it will do her good to have a holiday, as it will help with her recovery and she doesn't need any follow up appointments.it will be a couple of weks until we can get one anyway as our gp won't write the letter as they didn't treat her, so we need them to see her but can't make an appointment for a couple of weeks and we can't make an emergency appointment as they won't write a letter if we do that, but they will phone us up next week and do a telephone appointment which is no good to us as they have to see her before they can write the letter.there is just so much red tape all the time!!
lilli that gave me a headache reading that
me too leslie..lol
Can't believe that it takes so long. I think that even beats the waiting times I used to whinge about in London!
oh my goodness. what a mess of paperwork. I am sure the holiday will be needed by everyone after all this! Hope it is a good one
So unsympathetic too!
woot, found the ci8 by myself
yay shirlock
yay shirlock!
i don't know why we couldn't just get one off the doctors at the hospital, but they won't accept it, it's the same as the insurance company.plus now we are waiting to hear whether we will be insured again by the insurance company because of her injuries , and if not we won't be insured so won't be able to go anyway!!
it sure will bugs
hi shirlock
I thought the UK has National Health Insurance
Hello Shirlockc! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
But if the hospital gives the all clear, that's ridiculous! How can an insurance co not insure if there's no reason - ie an all clear!
how's everyone? still turkey-ing?
we have national health but not national health insurance. this was holiday insurance.we just had to cancel our christmas holiday as we should be sunning ourselves in the dominican now, so we have put a claim in for that, but that will take upto 3 months and they want out gp to sign the forms but they refuse to as they didn't treat her and the insurance company won't take the letters from the hospital doctors! it's a pain in the arse!!
hi again everyone, back for a few more
i know liz, it is just ridiculous!
hi flosey
that does sound like a real nuisance, lilli!
and hi flosey!
hi lilliann, sorry you've had to go through so much political rigamoral
hi sue
does anyone have a clue for ci7 and 8? please?
Hello flosey! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid

Do they still live in Burlington? I went to college there and my sister lives in Burlington.Haven't been to Burlington in a while though. I would not mind moving back to Burlington.
That we 7/48 word is not dry plus the la 4/5 word gapeach

My parents live in South Strafford which is near Sharon, VT.
I'm in east central VT and we have had about 24 hours/12 inches so far. Nice and fluffy, not wet and heavy.

Niniver that sounds fun. I have been trying to meet some friends from the Jigidi (jigsaw puzzle) web site for more than a year. When we finally had it planned I got sick. I THINK I am getting better now.

I started babbling la 4/4 today, but I finished. Here is a story la 5/12 with clues for today's da4/5 December 27, 2012. La 4/4 year, I said to my husband, le 4/4 go on a di4/5.We we4/8 on a diet together.I lost lots of weight by just eating sa 5/12 at every meal. But hubby's di 4/5 la 5/12 a week because he changed his mi4/6. It would be ne4/4 if he lost weight. My husband is in di4/5 need to go on a di4/5. His body is very large and very wi 4/9. I would be el5/10d if he lost weight. He's so overweight that he can barely fa6/27 his seat belt around him. The seat belt makes an in6/21 in his skin. He gets wi 4/9ed after walking up a flight of st 5/10s as well. This year I made de4/5 with him. If he loses 50 pounds by Spring, I will take him to a Yankees baseball game. However, he would have to lose over 100 pounds to be at an id 5/12 weight. Even if he fa 6/30 and did not eat for a week, I don't think he would lose weight. He has this in 6/18 id 4/5 that he will lose 150 pounds in a month. He says he in 6/21s to do this. He hasn't ea5/10 any healthy meals yet though. He has to have a si 4/5 dish with his dinner. He ea4/4 chips for a snack in7/32 of fruit. He loves the ta 5/10 of fried food. He isn't losing weight as fa 4/7 as I hoped he would. In fact,I think he has no in6/18ion of losing any weight. My hubby is in a sn 4/4 because I am hogging the laptop. I am glad that I could le4/5 a hand with my story.I am going to go re4/5 a book for awhile. I hope you have found a sl4/8 of words with this story. I will start the grid again an 4/8 sometime tomorrow. By the way, only some of this story is re 4/4. Goodni4/4 to all babblers. I will see you all again sometime tomorrow
Lovely story - as usual :)
Thanks Lizllin! Sorry I did not post it before your fireworks.
Now that I have posted my story, I am going to bed. Bye all
Goodnight to my fellow babblers! I will see you tomorrow.

I had my book club here for dinner tonight. Indian Food. Bood was Beyond the Beautiful Forevers... very good book. i was in all day cooking and they are all local so it was no big deal. and i ddin't lose my power last night!!
Hello all....Here to clue if needed.
thank goodness! that was a real concern. can't beliee the shore was hit again

oh my. think this is the wave of the future?
doren, nrk and i met a couple from morristown who sold historic prints. they een had two from m lakes!
well, morristown is only 15 minutes aweay
the scenes were very interesting, the ml ones were a proate school, can't remember the other
the lake??
they had nearly every town in nj. not the lake. the school was a big fieldstone affair
lake drive school. nice building.. was an original school here... then became school for hearing impaired
yes, ny SIL had actial historic postcards from our home town, they were so intersting. did not een need an address, just name of person and town!
she put them into floating frames so the backs could be read. really fun

well, more a matter of laziness. shop till , come home starving, need wuick food
let
hah! no. I just got around to scheduling the work.. will be next week
Yum - I was just looking at her ginger snap recipe in her profile. But I have a question. How much butter is a stick of butter - not a term used either in the UK or Australia?
let'ssee, i ahve pa dutch light gingers, chocolate crinkles, jan hagels, sugar and pfeffernusse.
a stick = 4 ounces
1/2 cup, 1/4 lb.
And in grams? Sorry to be awkward! All metric over here!
i am still baking. hae more folks to visit.
liz, there are sites to convert it
I have cup measures but don't know if a cup is standard across the world!
OK I can google those. Thanks!
Big storm just starting here - hubby's gone out to take photos! Oh dear!
yw, i do that all the time. the sugars and crinkles were new cookies. the crinkles will go into the reuest file
request.
oh no, liz stay safe
We really need the rain here - I'm not going out anywhere now and got a beach walk in this morning! ty for the thought. Luckily it's not on a dramatic scale like the poor US has suffered recently!
my SIL was describing conditions and at this point i don't want to see it. the photos are bad enough. my bro's house will probably be a total loss.
she desribes an entire supermarket parking lot filled with debris. where in the world will all of this go?
:( There are no words that are good enough!
at least he has a home. by the law of aerages i guess it would have to happen sometime
but it is after midnight and i must go before i turn into a pumpkin! night all.
Sleep well :)
FINISHED!! VERY EXCELLENT!!

Lovely week thanks!
i am overdosing on peppermint bark. must get more tomorrow'
ci 7 / 8 - a strongly fortified place
ei 8 / 40 - a scientist
ty got ci words.
ty. didnt know that was a common word. it is a name....
en 8 / 45 - en + fan ****** is a really positive exclamation
ty got it. weird one the en.
re7 /48 and 8 / 68 - to increase the width of something again
keep em coming please lislin
lizlin i mean.
st 8 / 45 - more stable - builds on st 5 /12
And I think that's it!
dont have st 5 12. hmmmm
I also thought the ei one was a name but it's also been taken as a measurement.
Do you have in 7 /32?
now have two st 5 12s...........
st 8 / 45 - more stable
sorry not seeing it now.
OK - st + you **** a book + the comparative ending
got it. ty.
Phew! Trying to think of more ways to clue it! Any others wanted?
got it before that clue lizlin. but the clue is minus the first letter of the asterick word right?
one more 8 to go. ty liz for clues.
Oh yes!
Multi tasking - obviously not too well!
Do you know which 8 it is?
re 8 builds on wi 4 /9 and 5 /20 and 6 /33
ty liz. got all the 8s now. ty ty
need to get half way and go to sleep.
any clues from anyone on tough ones? only have 4 of the 7s.
we 7 / 48 is a really unusual one - spooky even!
the other we 7 / 48 - alligators live there - not dry + la 4/5
le 7 / 32 - comparative of le 4/5
el 7 / 32 - stretchy stuff and then change the final consonant for el 7 / 28
de 6 / 21 and 7 /32 - to do with teeth and plural and also to hold a prisoner in custody
sl 7 / 28 - an Irish word for "cheers"
Hope those have helped. Need to go and fold the laundry - an unfav job of mine! Still with music playing, time passes reasonably quickly!
ty liz. yes they helped.
ty am working on them. ty
dont get the sl 7 any other clues?
got all but the sl 7. ty liz.
sl 7 - think diagonal! Then add the 3rd vowel making that the 4th letter of the word and then a final vowel (2nd one) at the end
ei 7 / 36 - of memory - visual
de 7 / 36 - from the de 5 - a sort of triangular shape. Add a facial t**
