I was watching PBS earkier -- Paul Simon and Graceland. Does anyone here remember a Babbler from NY who used to date Paul Simon when they were fellow-students at Queens College? (I nearly went there).
Boy, my brain is slow with this one...
cos and ruru, do you guys use the list as soon as it is up or am I just incredibly dumb?
No and no :)
I have no idea how anyone completes so quickly! Must have amazing vocabs!
*earlier -- why am I hitting k instead of l?
Nah. Just good memory Liz
no list
Jill: dont remember anyone like that
well done cos and ruru. I am truely humbled
cos, it was long before you got here
ah okay
dang it redbox of death and words won't enter...
bugs, I'm even more humbled -- I'm slower than you
hi all
hi dee
I only have 24 in almost 15 minutes
Hi Dee
hi cos!
ruru may remember if he can remove his nose from the grid
I don't think so Jill
39
Hello volley!
but you get to enjoy the grid longer that way bugs... i finish too fast and am bored the rest of day lol
hi jillyjill!
I have 28 words in the 19 minutes I've been here -- but chatting too -- in no hurry
you are right cos. I try it three times before giving in and ask for clues
hi dee hi from this jilli
I try to save half for the next day but tomorrow I have to clean the old place up so no time
hey ms. jili! How are you feeling?
With a grid this size, who wants to rush!
brandname of dogfood in the grid
Did you get a car jill?
And how are you feeling sis!
funny story about that scramb.. i knew a girl whos name in college was allison polk and everyone called her Alpo for short .. i always wondered why they called her a dog food brand name
Liz, I chose a car but don't have it yet -- a 2010 silver Subaru Legacy sedan -- pick it up Wednesday or Friday.
sounds nice jill
Good - I'm sure you'll love it :)
what color, jili; sounds great
hahaha too funny cos! congrats liz on your subaru
pooer isn't a word. oh well :)
lol scrambler - you mean jilli :)
AWD, but no sunroof (which I wanted badly)or leather seats like my dear departed Toyota, smaller trunk, but AWD and a pleasure to drive.
Drive safe jilli :)
the awd sounds like a great choice
I just looked at it and I think it will suit you nicely Jilli
silver, dee, as I said -- won't show the dirt much -- that was the colour of my Toyota
finito
that is color of hubby's car, and he really likes it
Congrats ru :) Awesome!
fabulous ru!
WooT WooT Woot ruru!
not really .. it's a tiny grid
Got a very good price, thanks to my bridge pal who came with me and is a great bargainer and knowledgeable about cars and the tricks of dealers.

I chose it and signed for it ruru -- pay for it and take possession on Wednesday or Friday
hope you enjoy it as much as you did the Toyota
license play on jilli's car "trmp this"
ruru -- picture me back in the sexy sixties in my little red Sunbeam Alpine, roof down, white chiffon bandana blowing in the wind...

plate
flosey -- it won't match my Toyota -- no sunroof, no leather seats, small trunk.
Okay, between being up for 20 hours and a very stiff whiskey sour my son made me, I am heading out...niters all!
gnight sis!
And sis, you'll have to post pix of the new wheels...
goodnight jilly
I can picture that jilli
ga 6 if not called
Good news to add -- son and d-i-l coming on Friday with all my stuff from the old car and the Xmas pressies I had to leave behind. First time d-i-l has been here in years!
I haven't had a whiskey sour in like forever
yeah, I remember whiskey sours -- they were nice!
wow.. how'd you get that to happen jilli/
The insurance company will pay the ferry fare to return my car-stuff to me. Son wanted to get to Victoria on business anyway, so is combining the errands.
has she been nicer to you lately
no but i have a gl 7/36
D-i-l is a very busy full-time head of the high school drama department and seldom has time off to get here. They go to Tadoussac, Quebec, the moment school is out in the summer and return just in time for school opening. They don't love near me.
if they don't love near you you won't hear their noises.. i guess
:D
Yes, ruru -- she's been much nicer -- seems to have forgiven my sins, whatever they were. (Dang -- I keep writing love instead of live. the i and the o are next to each other)
fireworks sans list :)
whee for dee!
wtg Dee
gg dee
ty vm!
maybe she feels less threatened by you now
nice going dee
I druther chat that speed through the grid, as you may have noticed.
*than
whatever, ruru, I'll take it. I've always admired her.
maybe time has allowed her to feel like you're not imposing
ty ru, not as speedy as you have been lately - you are speedy gonzalez LOL
sounds like a very busy lady
pulease dee. I 'm slower than molasses
not lately :) your brain food must be working :)
well that's good jill.. but we ALL admire you more
jilli
I started well before you dee
not deserved, ruru, but thanks anyway
'comes out of lurk mode' hello everyone.
humble.. and great.. that's what you are jilli
hi granny
hi rose
hi again gl:)
HI GR
hi rose!
ruru, we had an all-time high temp. last night at midnight. it was 34.5 celsius.
phew, granny!
what does that translate to in F granny?
you're not kidding, jilli. ruru, 94.1 F
94.1 F, ruru
it was stifling.....thank heavens for A/C
that's not too bad
humid too, granny?
you can sleep naked that way
as i said the other day, ruru, if there isn't a breeze of any kind....
palen
and you never know what will come up
yes jilli.....and lol ruru, almost...i do maintain a modicum of modesty...don might get ideas, don't you know!!

hi jil.. are you better?
doing goodly, thanx
somewhat, smom -- comes and goes.

jilli, did you manage to get some arnica cream?
chuckie is a 16 pound shiny black bully who takes great delight in making sammy unhappy
hello all - i have an orange Chucky too - and he has the personality of the killer red haired doll
Not yet, granny -- didn't feel up to driving even though I got a rental car. Just did a few errands and came home with it. Got a lift today from my bridge pal for the car-hunt.
great idea rose... arnica is very soothing
{{{urshy}}}
16 pounds.. holy cow he's a puma
The trouble is I never know just where it's going to hurt next, and I can't reach my back to apply the arnica.
jilli, arnica is absolutely the BEST for soft tissue injuries.
sammy is only 10 pounds .. also black
I live alone.
jilli, use the arnica on your shoulder joint...you will be amazed.
shoulder doesn't hurt it's part of the deltoid and part of the pectoral, I think.
Next time I'm in town I'll get some arnica
thats what a back scratcher is fr jil. mine is useful as a conealong, a scooper upper, shoehorn, cream applicator for the back hard to reach places , kid smacker pointer ..etc
I do have a long wooden spoon I've used for suntan cream in the past.
yup.. that'l work too
jilli, sent you an email
good night everyone.. have fun.. see you tomorrow sometime
lol, smom....exactly.
nite ru
night ruru, hope you sleep well, mate
I've been alternating Advil + Tylenol with Tylenol 3, using as seldom as possible.
you don't need to tell me about kid smackers
gnight ruru and ty granny -- will check.
fireworks and off to bed, goodnight all
Beautiful flowers, flosey.
YAY flosey
Oh, and congrats too!!!!
WTG GAPEACH!!!

liz, there's no way don and i would go if there was the risk of fires. we are hoping that the danger will have passed by the time we want to go.
I'm glad to hear that - it always amazes me that people go into high risk areas. I hope that all's safe by the time you're due to go :)
so do i, hun.
any hints for that R in the bottom row?
last jan, when there were fires everywhere, mother mac's daughter, daughter's son and wife and child landed on our doorstep in the middle of it all. i nearly fell over with shock.

if I am lucky t is just a little bit of repair, if the whole thing is usafe I am probably looking at thousands
oh, dear, not good news. i saw a picture in the 'metro' where someone's entire backyard was now a part of the severn river.
it does occasionally feel as if the whole of britain is drowning...
My friend in Oxford posted a similar picture of her house, with the river in her garden!
the trouble is that now everywhere is totally waterlogged, there's nowhere for the water to go so it sits on top
liz, did you know you could receive 'the metro' on-line?
BBL :)
A very late hello. I was decanting perfume samples this evening. 45 little vials, to be packed and shipped tomorrow.
No - I didn't know that Rose. Strangely I still have my BT yahoo account and so read the UK news from there! Strange because we did inform them that we were leaving!
and over here, it feels like the whole of australia is burning up!!! weird world/times we are living in.

hi rose, I fine, I live near Oxford but we have escaped the flooding as we live on quite high ground. The stream at the bottom of our garden is about 10 foot wide now but is much lower than our property, so we are o.k. All the fields between here and Oxford are flooded.

Canyoneering--extreme sport.
Yikes! is right JMC>
oh did i type it wrong?
Hi Scrabs!!!
yeah i think my random fear of heights lets me out of that one. . . i can just barely rock climb
When I was hiking in Zion Natl Park we talked to some guys that were canyoneering.
i like hiking and camping well enough but can do without risking my life
They were wearing wetsuits because they dropped into the icy cold Virgin River where mountain snow was still draining in June.
stats for the center column n please
Oh, that's what I'd like to do for fun....NOT!!!
*doesn't comment about icy cold virgins*
Haha, I chose to not type frigid Virgin River.
great restraint JMC. : )
hego i like you hair band
*pats je on the head* good girl
i so want to try winter camping in tents...
haha scrabs is restrained as well!
ty JMC
Backpacker website has info on that right now. I received their newsletter yesterday
i could winter camp on my roof deck. . . i think i am getting old
<---never camped, never will.
I have to figure out the best way to tape blisters on my heels so I can go back and cross-country ski later. And figure out best socks.
well..i also need to find someone willing to go with me....
i remember camping without tents or re** sleeping bags in the middle of west texas and now i want a tent, a sleeping bag, a mat and if i can get it a cot
hello all :)
moleskin and duct tape and duct tape on insides of boots
i want a hotel room. period. my camping days are over.
good advice carlee and i would drain them first
good hint Carlee
hi smores.
you dont want a cot JMC....cold gets under you... you want to insulate the cold from getting into your back...
well i am going to do outward bound this summer. . . .
no...the blister itself is a cushion..the body's way of proteting the site of irritation
I tried that on Tuesday without success. I will try large nonstick Bandaid then duct tape.
good point carlee but i never go anyplace that cold! haha. . a mat on the cot would serve
just got a few minutes...but looks like a short easy one today
Hi smores
Hi Smores
i know but it just tears more so if you drain it and cushion it, it works. . .otherwise there is not enough room for a cushion
hi smores
hi ")
th first 65 were fairly easy
uh oh i am still at 48 left
now we're popping blisters. ouch!
when we were at mosaic...so much rain..girls wore rainboots ALL day..got huge blisters on their calves... and feet... duct tape is what the nurses were using..seemed to work
20 to go here...
JMC, I am having a knee replacement in Feb.
Just added a pic of the kitten to Flickr.
oooo blisters on their calves?
I have tried different socks, one pair, 2 pairs, tightly-laced boots, loosely-laced...I think my problem has been overdoing it too, but the weather/snow have been great and I want to be out on the trail.
Speaking of ouch.
Whoa, Hego! Good luck!
that reminds me of the time i went canoeing all day and slathered sun block everywhere but my thighs. . .
ty Scrabs, I may need it.
from the tops of the wellington boots rubbing on bare skin...shorts and wellingtons
Beautiful kitty, Car! Name?
how to eliminate friction is difficult
Have bunny and kitty met? They could become friends.
what was the magazine scrabs..for winter camping?
it was suppose to be a romantic getaway but the sunburn on the thighs took away the romance
<--Will be in the hotel with Hego and TO. : )
right Molls!
Backpacker magazine. I get the mag and website newsletters.
sunburn is hell on passion.
i have gotten to where i will do outdoor sports and then go back to a hotel. . .
oh my, car, did you just get her? i would love a siamese
molly: do you snore? :P
Can I start the campfire? I love starting campfires, especially with challenging conditions.
I will bring my vegetarian grill for the campfire. . .
morning all! may I have stats for the center column N?
That is Buddy...we have had him for about three weeks now.
I will have a steak at the hotel restaurant.
Hi Dan2bit!

i am just glad my current cat is no longer suffering a mental breakdown. . .
Kat, you can subscribe to their newsletters.
hi dan! you snuck in there
i wish bf camped...he is a citiot ( sadly ) so not used to camping..spring time tho he is in for rude awakening...
He is a Siamese mix. His siblings are light gray tigers
On Prozac now, je?
Convert him, Kat!
really? something new, je?
no i just waited it out. . . she finally decided i wasn't trying to kill her with fumes and is reasonable happy with the loverly plus of now using a kitty litter box for the first time in 15 years
I finally got that no5.
...so he doesn't have all the Siamese traits...like making a lot of noise. He is very quiet.
<---Queen of citiots
start him easy carlee and help him work up to it
Ask Stidmama, she will tell you.
we will break him in with a nice site at the provincial park for a weekend of sleep and food..maybe 1 short trail
make it all about the food... he is..all about the food
Sounds like a plan carlee!
I would like this guy.
well gourmet cooking on the trail can be fun. . . do it early enough that you can gather morels

Well, like the look and operation to Win8 but not continually getting kicked off wifi...
My friend has been having lots of trouble with it. Keeps having to removing and reloading it.
Any operating system that makes me hunt for the shut down button is not user friendly.
re5/10 I think mlf
can you clue it please?
My life is so cluttered that I appreciate the clean lines of win8
r+to consume food+vowel
windows 8 is first and foremost to join the tablet crowd as they are so far behind the curve with it and a desktop os second.sadly it suffers for that
Have you seen any fixes for the win8 wifi issue crossy?
none yet jilly as i am not using win 8.have just read all the reviews
and be warned if you are considering the sole tablet offering with the new windows os.it will NOT play a lot of the legacy software
bottom row done! :-)
so be prepared to shell out the bux for much of the latest version of software
Have a 17 inch laptop...
Good afternoon, Babblers. This game won't be easy. My cat keeps wanting to sit on my wrist rest. oy.
And I don't game crossy, my 5 year old laptop was having hard drive issues, wanted to get ahead of it failing me...
LOL judi, I have a cat that does that also...
not a matter of games.i am not even sure if the windows table will even play babble! as we know babble is not just a game but the stuff of life:)

Usually she lays half on my lap, half on the wrist rest.

*poof*
tx molly I always forget to try those - that's firewords!
it's a deal, judi, but you have to take him with it!
Sounds like Jill has a wireless router problem.
*Pats 2Bit on the back*
Routers suck.
Well, if she is only getting kicked off on one device, the wireless router and the device are probably not talking to each other correctly.
No deal, Ruby. I'm not paying to import your husband. I have one of my own.
no no, I'll pay! lol
LOL. Okay then. I suppose I can just peel off his tags and leave him in unclaimed baggage.
sounds like a plan
*better mug him and take his passport too*
uh oh, slinking off to pb
<---If asked, will conveniently not remember any of this conversation about a missing husband. : D
Clue for the 7, please?
I can always count on molly's discretion!

I hope it's lovely and warm there!
{{ssue}}
hi ruby, diane, and frank!
Not yet, frank. We are down here for 3 months, and I know we'll have some lovely, hot weather.
I need spring!
Hi sue :-)
hi folks
hi all. I have post nasal drip, as opposed to pre-nasal drip :-) and it is really annoying me
My bad. Places like that are always hot in my head ;)
cereal
oops
thanks, welki! :-)
We left some decent weather back in Alberta, but it had been bitter cold in mid December.
and hi peri! sorry about your drip, that can be really annoying
ty welki, never would have seen that
Hiya welki !!
<-- will consider the faux pas her random act of kindness for today *lol*
hi peri :-)
one of my friends is in Arizona on vacation and is quite unimpressed (she's looking for places to retire to, I think)
would love to move someone warm, looking for someone to move with me
Molly, you still here? cheers!
This is rare Sue ( the cold, that is ) ... and on a positive note, we've eaten an lovely, sweet and juicy orange from our son's tree !!
my great nephew in on his way to being a brat!
very nice, diane!
It's just a small tree, but we counted over 40 oranges yesterday!
Oh, you're an Albertan? I have a friend out there currently
wow, that is great diane
We live just east of Edmonton
did you give them names? that's what I do with the occasional fig....
LOL
well, in that case, the one we ate was "Adam" !
how can you name something that you are going to eat?
Oh, she's found herself in Calgary - taking a year abroad from university here in the UK. She's loving it! But the English celebrate the snow.
only 20 words left but stuck on the right-hand a
<-- lives in calgary
Calgary is a nice city.... right, welki ??
that's like what Jonathan Safran Foer said about being a vegetarian, "How can you eat something that had parents?"
we like it :)
love your icon, welki, where did you find it?
Our son, who owns this home in Az. is from Calgary as well, but as he isn't retired yet, we get to enjoy his home every year for a few months.
it does seem like a nice city! She really, really likes it. Can't get over having the Rockies on her doorstep.
I've been to Calgary - seemed like a nice city although I was there in the summer...
And she's finding the cowboy culture a lot of fun
ac4/5
I've sure blown a big hole in my rankings....but will get it back on track. I had even forgotten how to use Lickety's clues
sue, how are you two doing?
peri, car.eeyore and hego made theirs on weemee - i'm a copycat
we are ok, peri, low on energy (both of us but mostly Frank) but doing pretty well otherwise
Are you in the U.K. , Frank
good night everybody
will send Reiki this evening to Frank and to you too
night night ruby.... sleep well
thanks, peri!
night, ruby!
I want to be a copycat too :-)
g'night ruby
I am, yes, though I haven't been home in a long time. I was the partner of Nancy Boy - Jesse - who used to play here, if you remember him, and that's how I found this place. But since that time, I've been a bit of a traveler.
peri, www.weeworld.com or www.wee-mee.com
ha, got the 7, nbs and nbt
I certainly remember Nancy Boy, Frank. He was such a sweet, caring person and I miss him very much.
good to see you here, Frank! I came back to babble just after Jesse died; it was clear that he touched the hearts of a lot of people, and I was sorry that I did not get to know him
I do remember him, and now I also remember your name. I'm glad you found Babble :-)
Gosh, it is almost two years since Jesse has died. Time goes so fast.
frank, jesse comes up in conversation often, as do you - glad you made your way back to us
lots of people remember and miss Nancy Boy, Frank.
for a tiny grid, it was a bit of a grunt - but done! anyone need a clue or two?
thanks for the sites welki
13 left and stuck again
Oh, thank you all :) It's really nice to see that he's so remembered. As things move on, it's easy to feel like I'm the only one still remembering and missing him, especially because his family aren't in the picture. But he was a fantastically sweet person. I'm glad he's remembered.
He will be remembered here for a long time, Frank!
and yay welki!
what day did he pass Frank?
He will not be forgotten, frank. last year I arranged for a "remember Nancy Boy day"
Thank you, Uusue. Here, too :)
here on babble and lots of babblers participated
Ah, that would be the 21st. 21st of January.
what year?
2011
Well, it would have been two years ago, now.

Grant had two wisdom teeth pulled on the 21st, we were quiet and very lethargic!
We were anything but quiet -- the younger grandchildren here. One of the twins has started to crawl, so had to barricade one room off to keep her contained!
Poor Grant... doesn't he know pulled teeth go under the pillow for the Tooth Fairy, not under the tree for Santa??
LOL mamabear! He got a BIG flat-screen TV to replace the one that failed and we weren't going to fix; as a way to give him a little comfort while he recuperated. It worked...
I had enough going on with one crawler at a time -- cannot imagine the excitement with two!
I would say so!!!!!
ooh. down to 12.
It's getting slow now.
It was great -- we just babyproofed the den and put a low barricade across the door -- they had the run of the room, so were happy
nice!
I dread the time when they figure out how to open cupboard doors!
:-) well in earthquake country baby latches on the inside of doors is good policy anyway...

Hello minv!
Finally got that 7
Started babbling at no 4/4 today. It did not take me ae 4/4s to do grid. Did not have to be a le 6/18 and le 4/4 on the list. Fireworks are an 5/10 so now here is a story of clues. I got on a pl4/5 and flew to California to get a Master's Degree in Education.I pl4/5ned on becoming a teacher. Currently,I ea 4/4 a living working in an urban ar4/4 helping kids le 5/10. I hope that the students are gl 7/36s and gl 5/14 the information that I teach them. It fills me with gl 4/6 to see kids le4/4ning. I think that no 4/4 of my students realize how important education is though.Hubby is ne4/4by le 4/4ing at me because he wants the computer. Now I am going to go watch an Al 4/5 Baldwin film.I will le4/5 into the chog later to help with clues. By the way, only part of this story is re 4/4.
I got all the 6's except the cl. will work on it! thx for all the great clues!

I'm down to my last 16 - hard ones for me
Glad I could help!
This is definitely my mental relief
Hello rfieler! How are you doing today? Welcome to puzzle
At least we are having some 'together time'
I'm well, thanks Minver.
rfeiler,is that a long-haired dachsund in the profile picture
Left a message for Gary about my visit, but haven't heard back from him yet. If you talk to him, tell him I'm trying to get in touch.
That's Shaggy, our chi-weenie (part chihuahua, part long-hair doxy).
His brother, Charlie, is a Malti-poo.
Hello Babblers. :-)
hello
Hi Soodle.
Hi Soodle! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid.
Always seems to be the most obvious 4-letter words (that I though I already entered) that I have actually missed. duh
Yak! Just when I was going have a bit of an oul chat, family commitments distract me! Hope to be back later. (Hi Min)
I see the doxy in him rfeiler. My sister has a mini-dachsund
Min, he is very doxy, but has a shorter face and a bit longer legs in proportion to his body.
can i get stats for the t?

CONGRATS, rfeiler
congrats rfeiler
Thanks!
So now what's your excuse for not getting back to chores?!
I guess I don't have one, and probably should. That kitchen floor isn't going to mop itself!
No, but your dogs could lick it clean for you
Mr. President has nothing to do with running this board. If you want a name change, contact: dr.god@playbabble.com
shari,i would contact dr.god, not lickety or mrp.drgog is the game creator
I used to have one like that. We called her the vacuum
lol,i missed you post below molly
Actually, that is who I contacted. Just got an email, and Jamie aka dr god said she would change it
good stuff;)

My dogs are decent vacuums- trust me, there's not a speck of food on the kitchen floor. However, Ben had a minor accident making cinnamon sugar for his toast, and neither one of them will lick up the cinnamon!

How did it go with teaching the middle schoolers stidmama
Oh, it went really well (all things considered), thanks for asking! I taught the first day back after break, and then the next day was a Friday. "first" days and fridays, as you know, are particularly challenging for middle schoolers. They actually did BETTER for me on Friday! LOL :-D I'll be back again for that teacher, I think.
6 RE, eieios
you need another RE 5
They didn't go back 'til Thursday? I had to go back on Wed.
Some schools were out all week and go back Monday -- but they were in school through the 21st.
I'm back. Snuffling and teary eyed. Just waved Paul off on his return journey to England. I really must toughen up.

That cy 5/16 word is that cy 4/7 plus a vowel medusa.
ap 6/21 word is a sleep disorder or ap 5/12 minus a letter.
lol...that would have been embarassing medusa
how does ap5 minus a letter equal up to ap6? that would leave ap4?
I probably wouldve got...huh look on your money...lol

ea 4/4: I ea 4/4 a living as an ESL teacher cosdem.

Hey Medusa...are you still here? :)
Thank you lillian & smores!I love doing them. However, yesterday it was a challenge with the hard grid. It took almost an hour to do. It usually does not take that long.
Yes, yesterdays grid was a little rough :)

Go lillian go!
re6 please? :)
That re 6/21 word is re plus that ca 4/5 word cosdem.
tyvm
fireworks
WTG COS!!!!
i was here when she was on and i didn't see any comment that should be taken wrongly. the problem with babble, and it's not a problem as such is that all babblers come from all over the world, so different words mean something entirely different to others...i.e, probably not he greatest one to use..fanny( i don't know how my american friends spell it) means something entirely different to us in the uk.don't ever apologise smores, as even though we are from all over the world, we are all different people with certain attitudes and personalities
wtg cos!!
1 word left and i get booted off net!
wtg cos
Hiya medusa :)
that's about right medusa. lol
smores thought she had upset you
sorry to hear you got kicked off...I was afraid you took my comment wrong
:)
no. i just dont have proper net yet and im using a usb dongle. it is so temperamental
it takes more than that to offend me smores!
i get proper net on 18th and cant wait!
see, smores, don't take everything to heart. life is too short. i've learnt that lately! :)
4 left
do you want a clue medusa?
lol....good to know....I refering to myself ( as an American) not you
YAY and proper net
go lilliann go!!!
Go lillian go!
don't, i've now probably offended some americans and canadian people :)
lol...not me lilliann
see smores, us brits are hard to offend :) we probably offend more than are offended,ok, i meant me in that :(
any clues needed?
Congratulations cosdem on your fireworks display! Hooray!
lol...I meant as an American it would be embarassing to ask for a clue to ea5 on National Bird day
oh...lol
fw!!
wtg lillian
I said it would be embarssing to ask for a clue...not thinking that she had just asked for one.
cr6 please
WTG lillian!!!
add a const. between the vowels of cr5 before it
crappy clue...I know
cr 6/21 word sounds like where your pet goes when you're away on vacation medusa.
cr6, cr and similar to the waterways with barges without the r but change the vowel
Congratulations lillian on your fireworks display!Way to go

Hello uusue2! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log
hi min! I am good, how are you?
I am well. I just got fireworks about 45 minutes ago. Story in profile if you need to read it uusue2. Also here for clues.
thanks, min! I always enjoy your stories. I'm down to 2 now.
and done!
hi babblers
hi welki!
Congratulations uusue2 on your fireworks display! Hooray!
Hello welki! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid
doing well, thanks - hope things are going well on your side of the continent
Things are well, however, things are cold on my side of the planet. But it actually got up into the forties today though.
balmy :)
When I was in Vermont for X-mas it was ten below at night
Turning the babble into words is an important step ... First words of a newspaper article on bt yahoo - about babies speaking really but it made me laugh!
That is funny Lizlin. What is bt yahoo though? British yahoo?
Hello Lizlin! How are you doing? Welcome back to the chog
Yes - it's the British Telecom yahoo site - I had an account in the UK but still seem to have access now, even though we closed the account.
Was just checking out the world when I saw that headline and thought I ought to share it!
sue, I apologize, did not send Reiki. I am tired. will try again tomorrow.
that's ok, peri, we are tired too :-). I appreciate all you are doing.
Since nobody is asking for clues I am going to sign off now.
Goodnight to my fellow babblers! I will see you tomorrow.
Hello all and good bye minv!!
night min, and hi jill!
Hi uusue, how are you and Frank holding up?
pretty well, Jill
his appetite is getting worse again but otherwise he doesn't seem to have much in the way of side effects
Is he maintaining 1) fluids 2) his weight?
his weight seems to be pretty stable (although rather low); he should probably be getting more fluids than he is, but he isn't significantly dehydrated
And I read his labs are good...so I would think it's pretty much par for the course. He will have his up and down days...
indeed. It is all rather wearing...
And how is your shoulder?
it's actually a little better after Friday's physical therapy appointment, which is nice
Yay!!
indeed :-)
and how is your Frank doing?
Hubby doing really well, has some moments, is a little easier to 'set off' than he used to be...
glad he is doing well. I remember he had some setbacks after his surgery.
good evening everyone - back for my last one and I am desperate need of a clue. NA 5/12 - please and thank you!
oops, I am confusing your hubby with Nef's, sorry about that! I remember your issues now, still glad he is doing well!!
N + farm land measurement
hi, jin!
LOL, I think you are mixing me and Nef (another nosey nurse). Mine has alzheimers, hers MS
thnaks Cos and Hi Uusue!
Hello cos, still bored?
I was, Jill, sorry about that!
Yes lol and yw jin
and Hi jindigo!
and Hi jindigo!
we took the last of our stuff and turned in the keys to the old plaace today
perhaps it is time for me to retire....see you all tomorrow!
Hi Jilly
Niters uusue, sweet sleeps and hugs to you and frank!
I feel so bad. My former elderly neighbor who is 85 told us today she is so lonely now that we're gone. no one talks to her.
night Uusue
You need to post photos on FB cos...
I did the other day!
Aww, that's too bad, hopefully someone as nice as you will move in and be friendly to her.
a friend of ours is interested in the place. im sure she will keep her company for us
and she has a dog that we gave her so at least she has him
That's good
its winter too so none of the other neighbors go outside as much. thats partly the problem too
Animals are really good for older folks, gives them something to care for; a reason to exist
I told her we would come visit or she could come visit any time. Im just worried I guess but she does have friends and shes always on the phone. so shes ok im sure
How far away are you from her now?
10 minute drive
my doctor is by the old place and i go once a week.. ill just stop by and say hi
Hopefully your friend will get the apartment!
kinda wished she hadnt said that.ill be up all night now lol
You KNOW she wouldn't want you to do that!
Yeah. Its just the boredom getting to me :)
Come up here...we'll party down! LOL
be there in time for flip!
hey, brb.....
back
hmmm how is the puzzle? doable in an hour and a half?
A little problematic at times but you have time...I'm here to clue if needed.
fireworks!
WooT WooT WooT invictus!
LeslieAnn...did you dive in?
Well heading out...back at flip!
aah...I'm an hour early,,,lol...maybe back
Who's ready for a big 'un?
i decided against it, jilly. just waiting for the flip now
SNL is doing a hilarious paraody of fox morning news
that was the first time in a long long time ive laughed at snl
That was a good one! Loved the "corrections" at the end.
Hi Jilly. I am. I started this around 6 AM and then thought I'd have all day to do itand now it's flip time and I've only got 25 words done
Ouch....
Problems today? How is DH?
no problems; grandson is here and then we went to our daughters' roller derby bout
just busy
Wow! Roller derby!
