can't keep up with you fast ones but am quite enjoying this grid
agree... down to 66, but coming to a halt :)
I have 147 yet to go
you came in lots later than I did - that's great!
thanks Dee - but remember, hubby starts out on his laptop, helping
has gone to bed now
he enjoys doing that but wouldn't bother to join himself
aww, so nice he helps a bit... bet that is fun
yes, I enjoy at least starting it with him
do you use a desktop when he goes to be, or do you use a desktop?
I always use desktop - he uses the laptop
I think playing on a laptop is tougher
yes, me too, I've typed since HS days, so feel better with proper keyboard
For me, laptop keys are not spaced properly, so I make sooo many errors - drives me crazy.
brb, needed for a minute

back
wb!
my 3 1/2 yr old grandson has his own laptop (discarfded one of daughter's) and I
hi Volley & Flosey..DrG has finally found some big ones
am amazed to see how easily he manipulates that little pad to move things around, he watches pbs only
how cute! He will be a whiz. Hi lynxxx.
po 7/48
kids are these days
the other grandson was the same
he's now in grade 9
so cool
expect that's all there will be for us,so really enjoy them
makes them even more precious :)
it does, the older one was out, from Toronto) last year and couldn't wait to meet his other cousin (from his Dad's side) lots of cousins on his Mom's side
since our daughter was an only child, she also became very close to cousins
interesting
ah, just got the po7
wtg!
wonder if dart is still traveling; haven't seen him for ages
no, but ru said hi to him (teasing I presume, he was in 'who's online'), he may have been in from time to time
I had to do that this weekend - was at daughter's and could only slip in a few minutes at a time LOL
Dee, do you have a clue for the ps8 and 9, it isn't going as I had anticipated
when I'm back in TO, visiting sons, I use their desktop computers
ps + companion word to either _ _ + abbreviation for state of Alabama + opp of beginning (minus the d)
one son keeps 4 functioning so that grandson's friends can come in and use them
the 9 is the plural
great idea and great way to have them hang out at home
thanks Dee, strange words, to me
totally new to me, too
yes, he has also done same with a music room, now they've graduated to guitars,
they live in a rather quiet neighbourhood, so the kids are free to come in and out
there's always an adult there
fabulous ideas
good for an only child
volleyball helped us keep house busy with sleep overs, travel, etc... kept our daughter so busy, she didn't have time to get into trouble
so true
she was a bit rebellious her freshman year of college, but it didn't last too long
these kids hang together and the parents keep watch - I set off the alarm one day and looked out the door and all neighbours were out to see what was going on
was very reassuring for me since I was alone at the time
LOL bet that scared you to death (nice to realize others are around though)
it did, was afraid police would arrive
did they?
only to find dumb gramma with egg on my face
no, we got it stopped
I am dumb about all alarms - always set them off - refuse to even use the one at church
they may have called, don't remember, was a few years ago
do you have occasion to be in the church alone?
when I was leading Bible studies on Monday nights, I liked to get there early to make coffee and get snacks put out. I always asked one of the ladies with alarm code to help, so I didn't have to mess with the alarm.
Then one of the other ladies would close everything up when we left for the evening.
that's good, should always be working in pairs for things like that
I worked one night a week in a clinic and we always tried to leave together
We live in a small, relatively safe town, but I am nervous in those situations. Hubby picked me up a few times, which I really appreciated.
That is just smart.
we saw each other to their cars
Our daughter's hours are hideous - comes and goes at wee hours of the morning and night - her new hubby often goes with her on late night calls... and we REALLY appreciate that.
very considerate, like that, what does she do?
He even did so when they dated... gives some peace of mind.
great guy
She is a sales rep for Medtronic spinal division, so she has to take call for trauma cases every so many weekends and evenings.
wow, sounds interesting
We feel really blessed and are growing to love him.
I don't know how many years she'll choose to do it - very taxing, long hours, stressful. So far she loves it, but once they have kids, I don't know how she'll feel.
we too, have great sils and dils
Don't you feel fortunate? Certainly not the case with some of our friends.
I sure do, one of the girls was married earlier, didn't work out so she really took her time after that - there've been many since the divorce
her hubby was a good young man, they were just in too much of a hurry, so glad there weren't any children.
morning
hello sarah
true blessing, that
hi sarah
brb need water
how are you flosey and dee x
fine thanks sarah, will be going to bed soon though

lwonderful sarah whoo, hoo for you, keep it up
it has been so easy to stop this time i think it is becouse i did it for me this time
that's what is important
you were ready
yay sarah...well done sweetie. so sorry about your back, though. i don't think there is anything so degenerating as a sore back.
so true rose, very hard to do any housework - bending over counters and sinks,
it hurts so much rose hard to get up and sit down
ah sweetie, so sorry
awww, poor you, sarah. when is doctor's appointment?
in a hour
been like this from saturday to :(
do you have a cold pack and a heat pack?
no rose
arrgghh!! and you didn't tell me??
frozen peas? and a towel?
do you have freezer packs you could wrap in a towel
or hot water bottle
i am sorry not been on lappy much over weekend
lol, flosey, great minds...
we do learn a few tricks over the years eh rosie
lol, sure do, flosey
back to sarah. frozen vegies?
yeah got some of them
ah yes, that's one of the best, they're so flexible = peas, corn
wrap frozen vegies in towel. microwave another towel for 1 minute.
ok
now alternate vegies with warm towel every 5 minutes.
ok
good morning :)
hey spritey
good morning sprite
morning sprite
hi rose, flosey, sarah :) How are you today?
sarah, i know it sounds like hard yakka, but it works a treat. what you are doing, is breaking up the muscle spasm by using hot and cold aternatively.
i try anything rose need to move without it hurting
heading off to bed soon, just want to get a few more words
awww, hun...i know exactly how you feel.:(
sleep well, flosey
sarah, can you buy some arnica cream? it is the absolutely the best for soft tissue injury.
doctor will give me some :)
maybe not, hun...you may have to buy from pharmacist/chemist.
some doctors don't believe innatural therapies.
i ask doctor if not i go buy some i have deep heat here
hi Rose, Sprite and Sarah
hi lyn
hi lyn :) xxx
hey lyn
Hi Lin
Lyn
I seem to know more J words than I thought, grin
Sarah - my tips for bad back pain - walk as much as you can. Don't sit, lie down. When you sleep - if on your back put a pillow under your knees - or if you side sleep, put a cushion or pillow between your knees.
hi Flosey
walking hurts a lot lyn
and if you stand, keep your knees bent
I am sure the doctor will give you some anti-inflammatory medicine...which will work along with the hot and cold packs
omg i have to go out in bit and it is snowing lol
BBS time for St*** evening walk
do you have someone to drive you there, Sarah
:) Have a good walk, lyn
no will have to walk but only down road
take care, sarah, don't hurt your back even more
good luck Sarah, hope he is able to help you
bbl have to get ready to go xx
bye sarah, get well soon
don't be ashamed to use a stick to steady you
Have used one for walking for years, and I still use it when it is slippery outside
ditto here. whenever i am on unfamiliar ground, i use a walking stick. don't like to take the chance of falling over.
same here :) Makes you much more stable.
129 for tomorrow, good night now ladies
and of course, going down steps...for some reason my knee doesn't li6 to my brain.
goodnight, flosey. sleep well, hun
night flosey, sleep well

today a good day, hun.
That is great!
Gosh, I just looked at the clock....it is almost 5:00AM....no wonder I'm tired. I like this grid but I'm going to have to come back to it. What time is it there, Rose?
nearly 9pm, hun

good...no where near the latest blaze, then?
yep and no, granny.....dtrs house, a few streets from us, backs onto bushland and them little bastids (excuse landuage) have a fantastic time lighting fires.....IMHO - throw the little buggars in the fires.
I honestly don't know where these kids come from....where the heck are their parents?
right with you, diz...we had teens who lit fires down here near historic bendigo. they need spanking, really they do.
gma... yikes! big ol' board
Morning, Beachboggle..just how i like the grids..large.
Good morning. Clue for the first wi5/20 please?

Thanks, might see you later..think i could be sometime..lol
Phantom: Praline.

*Blinks at Cos being here at this hour*
hello everyone
Morning Annie
Hello,Cosdem,Molly & Annie :-)
Hi Zoom
Hi Molly, I can't sleep either. I am been up since 3AM and that has been happening very often.
Hi Zooz
Aw, I know how frustrating that is Annie.
But I have a nice place to come to.
I hope you get a nap later to make up for lost sleep.
I usually don't but I do try to relax in the late afternoon. 5 niners, big grid today.
Molly, why are you up so early? Work?
Yep I'm up at 5 on work days, but I'm off today. However, my internal clock wakes me anyway. I also have to get my son launched.
Then you will have time to work on this big grid.
Yes and no. I'm off because I have appointments and stuff to do. : D
Molly, but knowing you, you will knock this one off at your leisure time today
Insomnia sucks. I jsut took a sleeping pill. Hope it helps
Oh I'm not that good at these things. The big ones take me a long time to finish.
Oh cos, you too, try to relax and it will help
doesnt help its hotter than hot in here and I tried to crack open a window and ryan woke up and was all close the window! ugh
Cos, you get it bad. I remember that time you were up for a couple of days with no sleep. I was concerned about you. Hope the sleeping pill helps.
cos, do you have A/C?
Yeah but if I turn it on Ryan will be like turn it off! he goes to work in a hour so ill wait
thanks molly.. eyes getting heavier now so thats good
the cold pill i took earlier had acemotophin or however you spell it.. and when I take it it usually keeps me up at night.. didnt know it had that in it til now
Good morning all :)
wow...another big one
Hello, Smores.
Hey zooz :)
hi smores
Hey cos :)
just read back some, sorry you can't sleep.
I can't take cold meds at all. They wire me up too much.
Cos, you are feeling sleepy...your eyes are getting heaavvvyy...zzzz
You have a cold too? :(
sadly yes smores.. lol ty zooz
*puts, coffee, tea, cream, sugar, bagels and cream cheese on the sideboard* help yourselves
Mmm, bagels.
oooh yes please :-)
my apt is so hot. we have the heat turned off. the internal heating in the building is higgh so we dont need the heat turned on... but then it s in single digits outside all week this past week and i been walking to store alot...
hot inside, cold outside = sick cossy
Well you would be okay if Grumpy would let you open a window.
Thanks Annie :)
At least he will be out in less than an hour..then you can open the winows.
it was like 1/8 of an inch and he was sleeping. damn wind outside. he heard it and woke up. i had JUST opened the window a crack.. not 1 min later "close the F-------- window im trying to sleep" lol
Try some night time cold meds
awww....
all we have is the nyquil syrup and i aint touching that crap
Just took tylenol pm. it usually does the trick. but takes a hour or 2 to kick in
I can't sleep with it too hot.
Hope it does the trick cos
this happens once a month or so. Molly and Soodle knows :)
I can't abide not having fresh air in the house. Even when it's cold.
I have a window open in the coldest weather.
agreed
Why Cos? Does she call you and sing you an Irish lullaby? : D
I do too. I always open it when ryan goes to sleep and i fall asleep before he wakes up and bitches about it but not tonight lol
lol no i mean you and soodle know i have insomnia sometimes
time for Indicia. we'll see if that does the trick
Good luck, Cos.
oh no not going yet lol but ty
Isn't Tylenol acetametaphin(sp) ?
tylenol PM though
I wanna try Zzzquil . but its $$$$$
I've seen it advertised, never tried it. I do take nyquil though when I'm sick....always does the trick
She probably would call you up and sing you a lullaby though. : D
:)
my dogs on the floor next to me snoring. my cat is on the couch on his back .. my other cat is in the bathroom sink.. must be nice to be able to sleep. i wonder if animals get insomnia? (lol true molly)
lol...none of mine ever get it
lol mine neither,, lucky them
Oh I don't think I could handle a cat in the bathroom sink. This is why I don't have animals.
I envy people who can fall asleep instantly. It takes me 15-20 mins every night lying in bed. Its always been this way since I was a kid
Molly ill take a pic later and email it to u. its too cute
It's your high metabolism, which is why you are so thin. I bet your heart beat is like a bunny's. : D
wait no sorry i wont
yes molly.. thank you.. no ones ever told me it could be connected to my metabolism.
and yes ur right abou my heart
I'm sure it's cute Cos. I just couldn't handle an animal's butt where I wash my face. : O
lol fair enoug
lol
in our old apt our sink was small so fat cat could barely fit in.. but this one? the sink is huge and the cat fits in just perfect
Then there are people who let their cats sit on the kitchen counters and I can't even go there.
lol theyre not allowed on the kitchen counters
all the gay sites are saying jodie foster "came out" ugh... wish they would check their facts before doing anything
I can't believe all the media attention that is getting. It's totally old news.
I mean look at her when she was a teenager. I mean if you didnt know back then....
I still can't believe someone being gay is "news".
see i thought she was a cute boy til i found out it was a she when i watched one of her movies when I was a kid.. freaky friday I think it was?
Ditto, Molly.
yeah like that kyle xy guy.. i was like oh ok who cares?
Back with a strong cup of coffee
lol...cos
i want coffee :(
cos, it' s on the sideboard
agree Molly, Is she, isn't she, who cares
Ssshh Annie he will be up for days.
is it decaf caramel?
but that wont let you sleep
No coffee for cos
:) no extra strong vanilla bean
I realized that as soon as I sent it, no sorry cos, just 8'oclock arabica coffee
ryan stopped selling these herbal relax drinks from monster.... they helped kme sleep so good... so mad he stopped but i was the only one who bougght them (lol annie np)
cos, get some chamomile tea, it is relaxing
Monster make a relax drink?
have him order a case and bring home for you cos
yes. lemme find a pic....
Monster sounds like Red Bull
Thats what i thought, Smores..lol
not monster.. rock star... they make energy drinks usually
http://energyheaven.blogspot.com/2012/\n03/rockstar-relax.html
clues for the two tw7s?
It has chamomile in it
one is very curly.
My clues are getting worse..lol
and the other is a matching pullover a cardigan set favored by the Queen
pt of tw5
Hello all again
Cos, you just need to find a good chamomile tea.
LOL, I am blind, cannot get it trying
Hello, Lynxxx.
Hi all :)
i shld check the store tomorrow
good evening, lynxxx
i mean later today
Hello, Liz.
hi Liz
Zoom, your clues are fine. Sugrr...like tw word for a cyclone but past tense.
Cos blew the chat width, Cos blew the chat width. : P
ty lyn for the queen's clothing clue!
Ugh I thought the url was short enough on its own...
celestial seasonings has a tea called "sleey time" it's pretty good. Bigelow makes one too, but I forget what it is called
*sleepy
oh i forgor about sleepy time tea... theyre affordable too
The Monster and Redbull drinks have tons of sugar in them and that will wire you up, not calm you down.
If you can find Casimoroa (check the spelling) online, it's great, especially mixed with chamomile
and loads and loads of caffeine
Monster: Relax is sugar free and caffinee free. Always works for me.
sleepy time and honey....
Casimiroa is an S American tree - soporific tea!
I thought it was rockstar.
ughhh rockstar yes. i always get their names mixed up
lol!
:)
BRB...
hehe..i think you are starting to feel sleeeepy, Cos.
Cos, you should try a few minutes of deep breathing too. That calms you down.
I am but ryan just woke up... im waiting for him to leave because he'll just turn on th ebedroom lights to find clothes
and I cannot have any light of any kind in the room. I have to nail curtains on wall and cover the bottom of door with a towel and coverr the vcr blinking light with duct tape to be able to sleep
I'm off to watch Once. Cos, will email you later with my shock and awe.
starts slow, ends good molly, ill ttyl
Bye, Molly.
Phantom: Needles.
idk why but i keep thinking wisen is a word
With two lots of the even more 'est' letters i have not found many ending like that yet..and i have found over 200 words..lol
okay I'm back
yeah I have 131 left, all the 8s and 9s .. but not many est words
really zooz? I was looking forward to that ending
I have 150 words and no one 8 or 9
haven't found much yet, but was more chatting, drinking coffee, watching news.
Wow! I have 166 left but hardly any 8s or 9s (5 in total!)
Te8 very small
ready to dive in now :)
1/2 of the 9s are normal words. two of them ends with est
te8 and te9 both mean very small

supporting actress in a tv movie for her role as sarah
tina fey was funny about it "see... it was me who used to win awards for that"
She's a good actress. I like her.
yeah shes pretty good.
When Tina Fey did Palin on SNL I fell off the chair laughing. That's a classic.

Hi mimi!
And good morning everyone! Kind of in my own world this morning. Just overwhelmed already.
Did you see the demotivator I posted earlier?
No, have not.
Here it is again, just for you. Demotivator for today: Picture: Star shining in night sky. Caption: Wishes. Text: When you wish upon a falling star your wish may come true. Unless it's a meteroite speeding toward the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for---unless it's death by meteorite.
Tough morning with mom and one of my boys.
Holy shit!
LOL!
what's going on, car?
Hi mael!
boy had forgotten that he had homework this weekend. Asked me to type two pages for him this morning. Mom decided to try taking off her sling and sleeping without it at some point last night. She is in tons of pain now.
I'm sorry, that's too much stress for early monday morning
any clues for de6/27

TY Haz!
You're welcome, car.
good morning, babble friends.
Good morning, hurshy.
Hi Hurshy!
I have TS 4/4. Is the other word from the right upper T also a TS?
Yes it is. ts5
hi, all. slowly bringing this grid to completion. 18 words to go....
Hi Angelsong!
Got it. TY Haz
That's good, car.
it is a foggy day here
Very gray here.
I found a 9!
good morning all
Hello wv!
morning wv
are there any PS ?
Good morning, wv.
also a very gray day here - and turned much cooler - yesterday was unseasonably warm
Yes, pa8/45 and ps9/60
I don't have any PS's yet.
Sorry, ps8 that should be.
oh dear, might we have a clue?
Yes, ps9 (being a plural) - ps plus four letters relating to the mouth run together with what you'd find in a pair of glasses.
Got it! TY again Haz!
thanks VERY much.
You're welcome.
thnx haz
humph, why won't it take doula?
I don't know.
for such a big grid, this one seems hard.
definitely twisty
It definitely takes more working out than you'd normally expect for a big grid.
Uh...does that send me to the PB?
No, I don't think so.
that TW is so close to the ones in the grid though...plus I am hungry, so maybe I will just put myself in there anywya!
*anyway
thnx car for the TWs - had missed them
hey at least i've found all but one of the j's
hello again :)

375 words
yikes way tooo many so have fun today
are you saying there are other things to do besides babble?
ack - i really should not have begun this one. it isn't going to be as easy as yesterday
i guess you came in too late to see my realization of it being a hard grid. :(
Some of the words don't spring readily to mind.
try the n's, they are pretty easy.
i generally don't read chat when just beginning. if you tell me there is no list i will be even more regretful.
There is a list and it's Lickety's so all is not lost.
oh dear, there better be a list
ah, ty for the clarification, haz!
hey the c's are not bad either
so8/45 - the menu in a soft drinks bar?
the D's and the L's and the S's... are hard.
st 9, hmmmmmmm
ty haz :)
yay lickety
happy to clue if you like TO
thanks haz...never would have thought to combine those to words :)
You're welcome.
*two
ok, lay it on me, hursh. i only have 193 so far, it's going very slowly
st7 = a plastic thingy with cutouts that you can paint in, and past tense for the 9
There's another superlatively Stalinist st9.
oh heck ty. i had the singular and the plural did not take . sheesh.
stalag... st... st....
Think of what Stalin means. Man of ?
oh my! a biggie, yay!
i keep seeing saltine
ohhh
lol, i never thought about what stalin meant.
yeah me too TO... tried salteen, saltene
take out the middle letter
hello everybody
Ruby :)
Hello, ruby. It's a big grid but not an easy one.
*takes hurshy aside* you know we should both be in the pb , don't you?
oh, i suppose maybe...
but at least with big ones, there's something to play with
nice to see you, haz
lol
That's true, ruby, but it's just not as easy to get sequences going as the nice one the other day.
{{smores}}
woot, got all the i's!
wow look at all those j words!
hi ruby
{rubyfoo}
the j's are not so bad either.
woohoo hurshy :)

sounds like a plan, hurshy
go angel!
hi angel
Go Angel!
woohoo angel !!
Hiya car :)
i felt good just getting more than 100
I always think of MikeyinBerlin when je4/9 is in the grid.
sigh
:)
hello teach
last word, coming up....
go angel go :)
hello ruby and smores and all
:) hi teach
fireworks!
why sigh hurshy?
mikeyinberlin = sigh
WTG Angel!!! WooHoo
congrats angel
not familar hurshy
gee, now that i have the list i feel silly. i missed a lot of easy things.
no idea what that means; must be an English thing "mikeyinberlin"
he was a babbler once upon a time.
oh
No, mikey was a babbler, he was a ballet dancer so that's why I always think of him when je4 is in the grid.
that's funny, before my time, I guess
think it's normal to miss a lot of easy ones on grids this size
*holds up silver cross*
mine too...lol
I thought you meant the other je4/9, wasn't thinking ballet lol
<-- loves the j's from playing scrabble
i have 8 j words.
have 12 j words, comes from struggling at scrabble
smores, play the threatening music in case TO has missed the ja4/13
1st je and 1st ji past tense
dadum..dadum...dadumdadumdadum
pa7, the lowest poker hand you can have, in spanish?
Musical clues could be the way forward.
I aslo have 12 ruby...don't want to look at list yet, so not sure what I'm missing
ty. now i have 12
not that great at poker and even worse at spanish...lol
but i refuse to see that film. i feel that way about the ocean as it is
<-- know no spanish
it's a little joke, smores
lol...think we are all 3 missing the same one?
rats, dragged my sleeve in the dishwater, I hate when that happens... :P But hi, all! :D
think of buddies, ruby
probably
hi rbud
although i know spanish that clue escapes me, i think it is the word i already have
lol...TO..my sister and BIL lived in San Diego when it came out...he wouldn't go to the ocean again
Hello, rbud.
lol...hi rbud :)
i dread crabs more. you can't see them until it's too late.
probably, TO - there are only 2 pa7 and the other one clearly the clue would not fit. it's a bad joke/pun anyway.
and jellyfish. bugt god knows what the ocean will be like now. hardly any beach left.
in Miami Beach, the ocean was so clear and clean, that there was nothing to fear (and I'm no swimmer}, but would go in up to my neck surrounded by spotted rays. Thrilling
actually little buddies is a pa 6, i have no pa
LOL...just got hurshy...thanks
ohhh i hate it when you're going through a long list and you finish a letter and you're still missing one and you have to go back through
j words juiced!
woohoo TO
stats for the one you were missing

i am sitting here watching rachel ray and wondering why i am suddenly starving
Well done, hurshy.
yay hursh!
ah food shows will do that every time, i love rachel ray, she is so cute.
WooHoo hurshy WTG!!!
i would like to have her for a friend, except she does so much i am sure she never has time to spend with friends!
lol...TO
i am thinking pancakes but it is close to lunchtime. she just made french dips
<----dated a french pastry chef once...
no reason why one can't have pancakes for lunch
or call it brunch
omg i would have been 200 lns
did he make you creme anglaise?
lol...
but i want a french dip. i have au jus, but lack roll and meat
pancakes for any meal!
quiznos does a nice french dip if you have one near you
not sure ruby...he made lots of goodies
What's a French dip?
agree...pancakes are good anytime
wahhhh, both our local quiznos closed down right after Hubs and I discovered their yummy au jus
roast beef sandwich which you dip in au jus sauce, which is made from the beef drippings i guess?
and we can even get half-way decent maple syrup here
aww rbud that's too bad
they all closed. after having a french dip there, i understand why.
I would live on pancakes, eggs and other white foods if I could
soggy bread with beef on it
yes it is clear buillion like gravy
yes, roast beef on a nice crusty roll dipped on au jus
salted
no, phae. it is crispy. it sogs if you dip it a lot
whoops, sorry
in fact I just made au jus and sammies last night, venision rosst in onions and italian seasoning in the slow cooker - it was tasty.
oh you didn't like quiznos' version TO?
I fix breakfast for dinner quite often ruby
lol...ruby
you must be a connoisseur
this is great; you are making me hungry!
*roast, oops
<-- has terrible food habits
sounds yummy rbud
and the restos around here are awful!
PB rbud
*woof* dinner
<---me too ruby...lol
yay, ty, didn't have that ro5 yet, lol
I recall you mentioning that before...never would have thought
no, hurshy. the meat was very salty and i questioned the quality. they advertised it and it looked good so i tried it. but with all of the real delis in the area, which use boar's head or thmann's or dietz watson, the chains don't usually make it. i would try arby's though if there wre one handy
I've had Arby's TO...au jus and meat were good...roll wasn't as crusty as I would've liked..
the Arby's here is questionable...decor is downtread and the meals are so-so
we do have subway though i don't generally eat there.
i mean, this is the birthplace of the hoagie. there are a few local chains like primo's
I used to frequent Subway as there was one across the street from my old job...not sure if they have a french dip
we have a local independent pizza joint that makes a pretty good dip sandwich, italian beef and goat cheese and onions run under the broiler, good au jus. just can't afford it often.
the only thing i ever eat there is the ham cheese if I am stuck
my hubby once got Bob Evans to make him a french dip
rbud i LVOE your icon! did you see it, hursh?
okay...I'm going back to the grid...getting too hungry and don't want to eat lunch yet...lol
oh wow, that is a cool icon!
ty :) one of my faves
Hello all. Just lurking but I must say you are all making me too hungry and I am too cold and tired to make anything interesting for dinner. Besides the fact that my DH is out of town and my son thinks Pizza is the only food worth wasting his time on.
ia haz still here?
just got done making biscuits and sausage gravy for brekkie, hubs is stuffed and napping in his recliner
Yes, still here.
ah, sorry we were rambling on about foreign sandwiches. are you finished?
Yes, with a bit of help from you know what (morewords).
ah yes, my secret friend.
If they ever charge per word, I'll be ruined.
<--- loves morewords, too
woohoo! halfway with no list!!
i am rsting up from a big weekend and tackling my empty upcoming weekend.
Are you planning to fill up the weekend with something interesting?
well done, phae, closing in on the same myself
wel..i am more hoping to fill in the blanks until the next one which will be very intereting. :)
ty..listed and crying over all the easy ones I missed...lol
I'm going with a couple of friends for afternoon tea on Friday - I had a voucher from my sister-in-law as part of my Christmas present.
help with a U please
i would love to go to a real tea. never made it to the crystal tearoom and it closed. tearooms occaionally pop up, or the few british restuarants have what they call tea, but i am not sure
ud4/6 - u plus Spanish 2.
and afternoon teparites for little girls' birthdays were the rage for a while.
thnx haz
Afternoon teas have definitely come back into fashion here, lots of the hotels offer them now.
You're welcome, wv.

the late venerable John Wanamker's had the crystal tea room. those phila ladies loved to lunch
thnx smores - also gave me the right de 4/5 combo

It was very fancy and elegant...it was her little treat to me each year
When I was growing up lunch, finger sandwiches, at John Wanamaker downtown was to us the height of elegance and sophistication. Lord & Taylor "The Bird Cage" in Jenkintown was a close second. Howwww looooveley!!!
http://tinyurl.com/cakknzc
The menu for this one has sandwiches, scones with cream and jam, savouries and sweet pastries. I'll force it down.
Yes, it made me feel quite grown up...lol
smore were you at wanamakers?
Am I coming through? We used to go to Wanamaker's all the time, with my mom as a little girl, with my friends (Meet me at the Eagle) as a teenager.
no...there an LS Ayers downtown Indianapolis...
what memories...the store is now macy's and only has 4 floors
They had a place called "The Tea Room" ....on the top floor of course...
Do you remember the elevator operator, 72TO?
yes, mich, read your post. if you asked question, i missed it.
yes, mich, i worked in housewares one christmas.
lol...Ayres had one too....
you will aprreicate the link then
Yes, of course. You jogged some hidden memories.
BBL. Must face supper, how ever pedestrian it will be.

Lord & Taylor was closer to PHilly/Elkins Park.
lol...enjoy your lunch teach :)
it is a conglomerate of shops now and aparaments. mostl medical offices
may i get clues for the pa s before i go seek lunch?
pa7s
pa7 - if you have the superlatively wan pa6/21 add another vowel in the word
pa7/36 - pa plus run together Mr Stewart the singer and that Spanish 2
ty. and to think i had the pa 6> it MUST be tome for lunch, my brain needs fuel! and now i am craving what i don't have!
me too
Bye, TO.
be back in a bit :)
and to think enable won't allow a superlative of se 6
See you later, smores.

I'm back for a bit smore, too, trying to warm up as the kitchen was freezing
freezing here too. Can't wait to get back to toast warm CT
hi everyone
hi TO, ruby, smores
hi bich
it's nasty here, reasl January weather. Grey, dark and off and on snow/sleet
having dogs who can't decide whether to be in or out doesn't help much
I have never been here in the Bay Area when its been so cold in Jan.
it has been very warm but foggy. you could feel the droplets on your face and that was at nearly 2 in the afternoon. it is getting clder now.
DIL lives in Menlo Park and has been complaining about the cold
not too far from San Mateo. My D.I.L. works in Menlo Park
there was a freeze in ca but i did not note where
It's been close to or at the freezing point here in the Bay Area for the p*** few nights
i am .776 done. perhaps time to list.
I imagine most people don't have central heating
Here they do. Not sure about SoCal. But if you have central AC, you have the ducts for heating
thought that was a requiremtn everywhere, at least in new construstion. usually electric
big freeze in Casa Grande, south of Phoenix..... we came here to excape the Alberta weather :-)
*escape* .....
well then you are still ahead of the game, no, diane?:)
not in France lol
So CA has central heating too....get frosts there too. Frost all over the central valley and of course into the Sierra foothills. 28 here at about 600 feet.
it was 19 F this morning...Brrrr.
at least no snow, diane
Yes TO.... and the warm weather WILL come ! :-)
i don't know what the central valley is, but sounds like unusaul weather.
"best word" te7/28
i have a cooking question. it seems i have los tthe abiity to make palatable mashed potatoes.
hint ruby, pls
water in the hummingbird feeder was frozen about half way this morning...We have covered the orange tree every night.... it's okay but the bouganvilla are a mess.
has to do with flexible strength, bich
What is your question, TO?
Bakersfield to Sacramento - well, the Sacramento Valley starts somewhere south of Sac...but it's one big agricultural area, towns are also Fresno, Modesto and Stockton
TO: BUTTER and cream
suet
tyvm ruby
ruby, how did you make a nine out of that?
not su4!
Yikes, toddling off to the PB
yes Mich
oh dear. as if the price of produce could get any higher.
The PB is definitely kosher Mich
ruby: the problem will still exist.
TO.... they are making so many changes to potato varieties.... some just DO NOT mash well. I bought some lovely new white potatoes once, and they just went gummy when I tried to mash them.
One thing about being in CA, the produce is less expensive and fresher
so ruby your mind reading capapcilites are frozen :)
TO, I don't understand the question.....
Most of the produce in CA now is from South America and Mexico
that is because it is as yet unasked.
sometimes the potatoes here get gummy and nasty -- too waxy for starters, I think. You need good idahoes (or in Europ "bunchies" or something)
Lots from the central valley
but i think i will try google and if i come up short i will ask for human hekp
But Gilroy, the former garlic capital of the world is no more. Garlic grown in China
good old Idaho russets :-)
this group has existential and metaphysical questions, none of which I understand LOL
they don't grow it there anymore? geez no wonder things do not taste the same.
Not much growing in central valley now...asparagus hasn't even come in yet. What we have in the stores is from SA
Try making Pioneer Woman's mashed potatoes.
what about Castroville, "the artichoke heart of the world"?
i don't know about you but i find SA fruit diasppointing always
we grow good potatoes in Alberta, but I don't think we export many.
butter for any cooking problems!
dianedecoder....where are you staying in Casa Grande?
no, there is atherosclerosis in my family. i won't make anything she does
I refuse to buy produce from that far away; it used to be that in France you got asparagus in May, Peaches in June, etc. Now, you can find everything all the time
and speaking of vegetables, we are off to the market to replenish the groceries.... son and wife are coming down on Wednesday to spend a week with us in THEIR house !
the garlic is still in Gilroy - and other areas - you can smell it if they've harvested recently when you drive down the highway
tceicher.....we are in son's home in Mission Royale
yum. garlic.
Ah, I am in Mission Royale also, but we are year round residents.
one nice thing here is that there are many kinds of garlic, all French, at different times of year, my favorite being spring garlic which is very soft and fragrant
the chew is listing produce in season now. talking about what we are
reading back on mashed tatties.crossy swears by russets
they make good chips as well
how awesome.... !!! This is our 5th time down here.... son built the home 6 years ago. ..... 2354 E. Santiago Trail.... maybe I can at last meet one of my Babble Friends !!!

hello
We are on East San Thomas which is in the new section. WE spent 10 years at Palm Creek and then decided to have a "real" house. It's a terrific place to live.
Our son's brother in law just built a home on San Thomas.... one of the solar homes.... they just left this morning to fly back to Edmonton !!! (2605 E. San Thomas )..... you could be their neighbors :-)
stats for the first O please?
*resists urge to hum "It's a Small World" to spare babbler the earworm* that is very cool, guys
Oh, good grief, that's right next door.....I believe his name is doug
YES !!! Doug and Karen !! His sister Deb is married to our son Dan, ( owner of this house )
"6 degrees of separatin" or even less in babbleland
pls be carefule re sharing data like that. the chog can be googled, did you know?
never mind
You may have even met Bruce and Mary then.... Doug's parent. They helped set up the house last year.
time to get going.
Absolutely, Bruce is quite a character. We got a big kick out of him.
First column U stats please?
only have ud4/6
I guess we should take Temple Owl's advice.... I do realize that chog can be googled, but I haven't shared anything really too personal. Do you do Facebook ?
ruby i hate to ask but can you clue it please?
no, facebook confounds me even though I consider myself very computer literate. It's just waaaay, to much information for me to handle.
it's a Japanese herb
It can be overwhelming if you let it...lol. I'll look you up personally, or you can find me :-)
ud + prefix for bone
The other two u's are ur7 and ur8
ud + prefix for bone
do you golf ? We did 18 holes on Friday with Doug and Karen,.... almost killed me because I hadn't played for 15 months !!
I am a beginner golfer and play on Tuesdays at Dave White (just nine holes). I really enjoy it, but it's very tedious to learn. I'm a tennis player as well
that's a poser, molly, and hello

Time to get groceries.... be back later.

EC 4
TY zooz.
Didn't Ruby just clue those?
What is NBS, I have been around long enough to know, but I seem to have forgotten
tried to thank zoozz and got booted
seems she did, molly. guess i just missed them. :)
NBS = no blank stats. thats NBT and NBS for me. :)
yw, Ruby :-)
No Blank Stats. 1 word from each tile under Word Stats. I don't pay much attention to those things. Not sure why they are an accomplishment.
Ah, got that too
hiya mich
Well,Molly when there is an 8,9,or 10 letter word I certainly feel good when I've gotten it.
Howdy Ruby
Molly, youre making me laugh because I totally agree with you re: nbs and nbt
only an accomplishment to those of us who are a wee bit OCD and dont like seeing 0
{{annie}}
hi ruby and Evan
I think when those of us who never finish get half and nbt and nbs, it feels like a small accomplishment
ce 5/12, please?
Oh Eva, Now I am laughing, how many times have I driven myself mad because I keep seeing a zero when it is actually the letter 'O' ! LOL!!
and small accomplishments almost add up
when they make churches smell good (ce5)
i suffer from a mild case of CDO -- its kinda like OCD, only the letters are in alphabetical order, AS THEY SHOULD BE.
ty ruby
Never heard that word, thank you
Oh Eva, you are too funy!
I'm with Ruby. NBT, NBS, and at least half the words found without list and I' m sucessful.
Where I come from, that church smell good word starts with IN : D
i USED TO GO TO CHURCHES ON THE SLY WHEN i WAS A KID.....
didn't mean to shout, sorry
Ruby: Church Sneak
not from NY, molly
Why on the sly?
bad nel!
it made me feel really wicked; I'd hang out when friends went to confession
Molly,I think the in word is the noun form
if you're from ny, you'll know the phantom: spaldine
got it, ruby
but in my neighborhood it was spelled spaldeen
I only heard it, never saw it LOL
*Pictures Ruby listening at the confessional*
Annie's spelling is what I've seen. Not a phantom, just a proper noun and therefore not accepted.
how else can you learn stuff?
I think the brand name was Spalding
LOL, actually the word was Spalding but we spoke our own New Yorkese
Now that I have seen. On basketballs.
we sold them in our store, red rubber balls
oh ruby, memories
In memoires I've seen the spelling Spaldeen. Of course it was Spalding, I just never realized it. (Michele feeling dumb, having a 40 year-too-late AHA moment.)
you would have loved my father's candy store, annie, I'm sure like every other one in the outer boroughs
Where was it Ruby?
ruby, when I was a kid going to a candy store was a treat
in Queens Village
<---Hates that the only candy stores now are upscale snooty chocolate shops.
when I was very small, sometimes my whole class would walk to the store as a "field trip" and my father would give all the kids ice cream and candy
Ah, my mother grew up in Far Rockaway, her father owned a grocery store.
and we would stand there for the longest time picking out 2 cent candy. remember the ice cream sandwiches that was put between 2 large cookies.
and egg creams and malteds?
I'm drooling, stop!
by the time I was 7, my father would let me mind the store, but I wasn't big enough to make sodas or sell ice cream
We didn't have a candy store, per se, but the drug store had a candy counter and a fountain. Does a real fountain exist anywhere any more?
(sold cigarettes, though)
I mean where I grew up.
I wonder; I've been away a long time
Woolworths had a great soda fountain
his candy store ultimately became an antique shop before the neighborhood became exotic
du 7, please?
ruby, a great loss
somebody who fights after taking offense
now ive got the HUGEST craving for a root beer float!
du7
ty ruby
Remember popping a balloon that would have a piece of paper inside with the price of a banana split? If you were lucky it was 2 cents, I think the highest was like 75 cents or something. This was in the late-60s and early 70s
Ruby, see what you did to Evan and me!
my father would make me extra-malt malteds after school every day to fatten me up and I would get to scrape all the ice cream out of the cartons
I made a coke float recently, my kids thought it was disgusting. Oh where have we come to??
I'm jealous
you are much younger, mich!
i had a lovely framboise float a while back. a fabulous grown-ups-only dessert. ;)
Still, the world I remember no longer exists.
can I get a clue for the second de 5/14 please
I just ate a pint of Haagen-Daz salted caramel ice cream, melted. How bad is that?
Or, do you mean, how good is that?!
I secretly weigh 300 lbs!
Haha, if you really weigh 300 lbs, it wouldn't be much of a secret!
they have a flavor here of caramel with speculoos
I use smoke and mirrors
What are speculoos?
they're a Belgian molasses cookie with almonds, fabulous!
Oooh. I am craving all that is bad for me!!
I can buy them in the local market and eat them spread with cream cheese or salted butter
OK, I do believe that you secretly weigh 300 lbs (or 145 K)
my only real cravings are for eggs....weird!
and only 5 ft tall
That is weird. Maybe because such utterly wonderful food is available, you crave eggs?
I think this grid takes the cake for stupid words
this is a bad food region of France; the meat is awful
Well, there are so many of them, there have been stupider.
I'm an irregular eater
did you get the du7, nan?
Is the produce bad where you are too? The meat is pretty bad here too, but we make the best of it.
the produce is pretty good and less expensive than anything else; things like endive and asparagus are inexpensive and wonderful (in season only)
and I've just started cooking duck in a variety of ways
my DIL brings Italian sausage when she visits from SF
That's good.I love duck but it is one of the few foods I have never made myself. Do you have to render all the fat before cooking?
yes thank you
beef here is not worth eating
lol ruby@ 300 pounds.i have seen your picture.i think my right leg weighs more than you do:)
That's the smoke and mirrors, cross
I just learned how to cook it in the past year: I buy "magret de canard" which I think is duck breast and cook it, fat side down to get rid of some of the fat
then I cook it in sweetened soy sauce and homemade plum jam
Ruby are you still putting that picture on Facebook? : D
I don't know how to change it
like this avatar (not that I would change old Max for anything....)
Omigosh, that sounds amazing. I wonder how expensive duck would be here. The general public here is not very adventerous about their eating and cooking.
I buy halal lamb because French lamb is nasty
for couscous or roasts
hello, hello all
Where does the halal come from? Lamb here is very expensive but good (actually I think it's good, I don't have much to compare it to)
Hello Peri
I sounds like the good cook I once was, but have become much more lazy with the years....
there are 4 Arab butchers, but I think the slaughtering makes it taste better than the Fr way
Mich your real first name and mine are the same, even spelled the same way
hello peri
Unusual, people are always giving me that extra "L"
that's funny, peri, I know 7 people in my village with that first name and 2 are men!
Hello all. Just starting. Sounds like a cooking program chog today. Lovely!!
Ruby, how does halal meat taste compared to Kosher?
Blame that on The Beatles.
I think it's the same because the slaughtering is the same, but without the blessing (I think)
Ruby, the men have one but leave off the last e.
I have one 8 ps8 and the pl that I got from earlier clues. help with other eights pls.
when 2 of the Michele got married in Sept, that was the song they played when the bride was given away
or 7, please?
everyone keeps trying to put two ells in my name
I don't think so Ruby, (about the slaughtering) there are differences. I don't know enough about kosher slaughtering to know what the diffs are.
Here, they all seem to spell it your way
Did one Michele marry a Michel?
It bugs me to no end that the French pronounce Michelle and Michael the same way, Gabriel and Gabrielle the same way and Daniel and Danielle the same way.
Periwinklle. Oh. Is it the first or second elle that needs elliminating?
maybe they use Mikael
perwinkle. we are talking about my real first name stid
no, 2 Michele's (one male, one female) f=got married. They own the local Italian resto
Stidgemere, that is a deep and probing question!!
I know that, just being silllly.
and I am godmother to their dog, Capone (see FB), a Malinois
Ty michnick. Sometimes my humor flies too high or too low.
he and I are in love
Hit me square on
I thought that in France Michel was pronounced Mikel with the accent on the second syllable
my friend's middle name is Michele. we always call her "Donna Michele, one L"
That is like me asking my friend how his sister, Robyn with the Y is. : D
I made a gross humor faux pas when I went to the party in London. All my niece's colleagues were there, all female psychologysts, and when I met them, I'd say, "Hello, I'm cured!" I don't think I can ever go back.
That is because we are on the same wave length michnick. Hooray for us.
My mother originally named me Michel, but someone in the hospital told her only boys leave off the last e. Luckily she was able to recall the birth cert and add the e
they didn't think it was funny
So, ruby, you don't need them and they don't want folks cured. Too bad for them.
I do : D : D : D
I can always count on Molly!
sa8/9 pls
I thought since people always ask them for advice, that would be a funny thing to say. NOT!
It's fun to mess with shrinks.
hello molly.
My sister had a blind date for her junior prom. She went with my dad to pick him and he said, "Hi. I'm Rich." She answered with "Oh, how nice. I'm poor." He didn't think of another thing to say all evening.
We do count on Molly.
not noted for having a sense of humor, I guess
I love that, mich
property of being salty?

That what was shrunk, their se5 of humor.
nan, one who speaks
I am on the right track but not getting the sa8/9

la6/30...la + Ru's drink

i just dont see it.
Ru's drink?
the act of making your point with a single correct statement perhaps?
do you have the si7/8 mkg?
si? no.................
i have si 4 and then past tense............\
word for completely quiet
i just got a very quiet si 7/8.
ty smores :)
still need 3 9s.

Hi crossy and mkg. Watching Australian open Liz. Inspiring.
Careful Welki. You get in trouble for using the se8 word around here. : P
bring it on, i'm in a mood :)
ty got them both. great clues cos.
Just had brekky - not watching anything at the mo! What's the latest?
Still don't have the st
Not watching this very minute. Watched round ones yesterday. So much energy expended!
st9?
st: if you are a theif you st***. but that is also a metal with different vowel. use the metal spelling. then imagine the most you can be is this. vowels and then most.
If you hold up a cut out pattern around the top border of a room, and paint over it, you are using a st7. The st9 is the past tense.
you made an outline, a pattern on something before you cut it
I still cheer for Andy Murray - Brit roots never far away, even though I become an Aussie in just over a week!
i am giving terrible clues today.
ty Molly :)
Hello all, wow, a biggie! Oh well...here goes...
hey jilly
hows zaki doing, mkg?

Hi jilly. If I can get 100 words, I'll be happy. Maybe not happy, but ready to sit on my laurels. If one can do that.
zakkai very bad. very bad. 3 more tumors now and they dont know how to remove them. going to boston thurs to speak to doctors. horrible. just horrible.
who is zakkai?
you can get 100 words with the 4s and 5. easy words.
oh no - i am so sorry to hear that news.
ty welki.
so sorry mkg...Your family is in my prayers
he's such a resilient little boy - i don't know how his parents are coping, with children at home and one on the way
{mkg}
zakkai is my grandson who is 27 months old and has a chest full of tumor. they thought they got them all but.... it is terrible.
So sorry mkg - hugs etc
parents are beyond a mess. a total disaster. crying all the time.
I am so sorry , mkg, positive thoughts going out to your and your family
it is a nightmare. no other word comes to mind.
{{{mkg}}} will keep you and your grandson in my prayers!
they've been so strong for so long, mkg - crying is okay
ty. go to caringbridge.org and put in zakkai and it will let you see the story.
they're also strong in their faith - i hope they find some comfort there
it has been 11 months. we found the first tumors feb 15th 2011. he was 15 months.
so how about more clues to cheer me up and take my mind off of it?
you betcha - what do you need, friend?

Gave tzedakah in his honour with wishes for refuah shelaimah

ty getting them. keepem coming
ty for the bone and the board of **ucation

<----nbt/nbs...it's a start
hello TO
so, as long as we're at it, i have a daughter who is 33 weeks pregnant - last night, for the second time, she went into premature labor. 1st baby was a preemie, too - would like some babble vibes directed at her uterus, please. let's keep this one in the oven a few weeks more
Hello TO!
hi owl
and teach
On it welki!
i don't like this grid much. i am .754888887 finished.
will keep all of your faqmily in my thoughts and prayers
hi teach, jilly, welk
did you have a fantastic time on saturday night, owl?
ty
welki my daughter is 38 weeks..we know it is a girl. do you know?
Welki, hoping that baby stays put for 7 or more weeks.
no, we don't know yet
Hugs and thoughts for your daughter too welki :)
lizlin, i just saw the photo me and him. how wonderful. are you native australian? is it morning there?
thanks, everyone - powerful stuff, womanstrength (don't see any guys here)
restarted again...grrrr
Hi lizlin!
welkiL yes i did! and just found a dance for next sunday with a band i've never heard whose youtibes sound great
It's 10 . 46 am here. I'm a Londoner but become an aussie on Jan 26!
welki, may she and the baby be healthy and happy and may the baby come when the time is good.
thanks, mkg - nice thing, this internet
was liz. mazel tov. do you like it in australia? weather is nicer isnt it?
Hi Jilly - not here often this week. Step son and girlfriend staying with us.
i have 106 4s ............WOW this grid is too big for me.
Love australia. Miss family and friends in London though.
do you have any family in australia?
Good thing we have skype and e mails. My hubby's lived in Aus most of his life.
early congrats on your ozzie citizenship, liz - it's an important step. (i'm a dualie, too - usa and canadaian)
I have my step-son and my hubby's ex-family have adopted me!
But none of them live in QLD!
i wish you lived in nsw - i have spectacular friends in geelong
yes skype and e mail is amazing. imagine, for the first 36 years of my life i lived with out a computer. and we thought an electric typewriter was great. then we thought a cordless phone was magic. then car phones were magic. then cell phones were really magic. and now, my i phone is a computer as well. who would ever have imagined.............
Funny thing - the ceremony's on the Sat evening and I told them I was veggie when they said there'd be an Aussie barbecue! They said it was served with salad!!!! Such an Aussie attitude!
and yet, when we have a frozen chicken and dinner is supposed to be in an hour ....
imagine, all of you out there, if your grandparents came back from the dead and you told them you were talking to people in canada and australia and all over the u.s. would they believe it? NO!
salad - and an olive in your martini :)
Like that idea!
congrats liz
No - not even sure my mum would - well not with such ease - she's been dead nearly 25 years!!!!
pa7/36 pls
my grandmother lived with me when the internet was a tiny baby - she was so suspicious of it. the idea of a cordless phone was enough to send her into a panic
my husband in 1984 got a camera that hooked up to a computer. he took a photo of my father who had owned a camera store. my dad was shocked. just speechless when he saw his image on the computer screen. that was on the original apple macintosh. and the image was hardly crisp or clean. my dad was shocked by it. and now..............................
Sorry peri :(
pa7/36 = golf term + smells less a consonant
Technology moves very fast!
at age 65, when i look at my tiny grandkids i wonder what they will have when they are my age................
i wish you father still owned that camera store - i have my grandfather's cameras, some still with film in them
smells????????????????????? not sure what that is.........
mkg, they'll probably have an organic garden on a kibbutz :)
welki, antique cameras are worth a lot. so go on line and see what you can find. i have cameras from my father too.
I bet they already do!
pa7/36 golf term + vowel + spanish for two
they????????? who are they????????????? organic gardin. hmmmm

ty got the pa7, another new word for me
i clues for the i in forth row, third column
s + Beaver Cleaver's Dad's name
sw 5/20 plural of sw 4/9 to exchange
must think about mr. cleavers name............
Oh, she needed the plural. I figured it was the harder one.
oh, good heavens, too obvious....thank you luv
If you are crazy, they put you on the psyche wa4
dont recall first name...............roy? hmmmm
she was june.
got it! ty.
Well, must head off to finish dinner...only 297 left :(
Bye Jilly - bon appétit :)
by jill

Bye mkg :)
urdo is a chinese instrument. my son has one. not in dict.
Also leaving - BBL - enjoy your evenings :)
hi all! wondering if I should start this one so late in the day...
lots of new words for me sue. do you care if you don't finish?
would you feel frustrated not finishing - or just want to enjoy getting as many words as you have time for - lots of easy words - lots of twisty different words
has usue been here today?
LOL hi usue!
Hi, TO, just signing on. And I almost never finish but do like to get nbs, nbt, and 1/2 way.
Good evening Babblers. I am back to finish up.
hi wht! and wv and peri!
how are things?
pretty good, TO, Frank is doing well so far with the chemo
hi sue, owl and wht
Good to hear, Sue.
good news, sue
I am on hold with ITS at the university, I managed to change my password today during a time when they were having authentication issues, sigh
Sue, my father-in-law used to go out to lunch after chemo. It affects different people differently. I hope it continues to go well for Frank.
There seem to be a lot of people doing odd things in the grid today.
as opposed to a lot of people doing odd things in the chog today. ;)
No one seems to be doing much in the chog right now. :^)
well whit, this is your chance to liven things up!
as for me, i would be happy for the da5/20. i am sure it is something quite obvious but i can't find it.
*Does a soft shoe through the chog*
The da5/20 is the pl of the da4/9, but that probably doesn't help much.
And there is another da5,20 that is like daybreak but with a random vowel added to it.
ok, finally got my password sorted out. Sigh.
A victory in one of life's small battles, Sue.
Indeed. One of the problems is that, between my smart phone and my iPad, I can get locked out of my account every time I change my password because they are constantly trying to log in with the old one before I can get it changed everywhere.
bingo! ty!
anyone have the last se 7.28 please
that second da5/20 has something to do with Jewish prayer, I will bet
se7...compound word...*** the table + draw a **** in the sand
I think it has to do with fishing.
thank you
It is a compound, ruru. a group of tennis games + an infinite series of points.

I knew that was going to happen ugh
Hey, Jillyjill.
OOOO...And WHT!!
hi jill
There seem to be an exceptional number of s words in the grid today.
I don't think I will finish this one...
I found the grid easy. I didnt need to list til 50 left.
but then again I had nothing else to do today
I'm using the grid to find all the high point words..
I worked hard on my feet for 10 hours with only one 15 min break....tomorrow's not looking any better..
Yikes. Yeah I'm sure being tired makes the grid more complicated.
And less motivated to finish.
Got that right, but my feet are up!
Did it warm up there cos? We got a break today, up in the high teens!!
13 right now. been steady all day. 1/2 inch of snow expected overnight. its already started
i wish itd warm up so i can walk to the library and return my already overdue dvd
We didn't get any of the snow predicted today.
we probably got it lol...

May I please have a clue for sp6-21 the 2nd? Thanks

Gosh, cos, it was 75 here today.
Thanks much, cos.
I want 75 again. The high tomorrow is like 40. I live in Southeast Texas. It isn't supposed to be cold here.
Yeah now that Christmas is over. I'm over the cold
Near Corpus, invictus?
No... I live in Beaumont. It is about 45 minutes from Lake Charles, LA.
It hit 60 here in Boston, but the cold is making it's way to us.
OK, I have a sister-in-law in New Boston.

I am giving the list a st7,28 gaze and I only see 2 st7,28's. The other adds a chemical ending to st5.10
But now am seeing all sorts of words...go figure
Oh, wht, my bad...should have been the 2nd one. thanks
Ther is a st7,32 which is a mask used to paint words quickly and a st7,48 which is a person who takes care of something like a wine st7
It is the st7-28 the 2nd that I'm missing....thanks
** finito ** PA 7/36 which is an ode sung by the chorus at their entrance
st + if you voted for someone they are an ***cted official + abbreviation for Omaha's state
Thanks much, Molly and wht.
Okay, taking a brief break, but I think this grid and this day are going to beat me...
