Hi everyone :)
hi liz
hey liz
did you find the in 8, dee?
hang on let me think how to clue
in 7 and in 8 (pl) alt spelling of a word I usually see beginning with en... to captivate, enamor, cause to be spellbound
in8 as in amazes or captures your attention
think of it when I think of being captured by a good book...
ty for in7/8
help with the ac8 pls
ty for in 7 / 8 - I'd only ever have thought of that with the alt spelling!
ac is chemistry word... ac + word that looks like fruit in bran cereal (dried up grapes) minus the first i...
plus, liz, I think the en word has 2 l's, right?
ac8 ac plus shriveled grapes minus a vowel
ty dee
new word for me
thanks sajarn
ty for the ac
ty sajarn
yqw... I think I have seen the in 8, but don't remember the ac... I took honors physics and never took chemistry LOL
yw
still not seeing that in .. can't be interest or interact
Just tried the optional spelling using a word document, Dee - it accepted both 1 l and 2!
very interesting
wondered if one was American and one British
I'll think about that one!!
actors and performers want to in... or en... their audiences
got it -- stupid word
wtg
not only does it begin with an e it ends with a double l
that's what I thot
thanks nan, that got it for me
I wanted enthrall (inthrall) but no dbl L
one of the reasons I'm beginning to dislike this game
You got me en ******* Dee. I checked my Oxford English Dictionary and it has both spellings!
me too nan -- too many rubbish words
this game has helped my scrabble game and wwf and scramble though LOL
very interesting; ty for checking, Liz

I love words :)... guess I am still a geek LOL
Me too! So I'll join you!
I stick with this game because of the nice people who play it

My dad wrote a verse when he was interned in Hong Kong during WW2: THE LONG AND THE SHORT OF IT Polysyllabics just drive me clean frantic; Simple, short words should suffice for out use. Sesuipedalian, pocourantic, Anitclimactic, and words as abstruse, Those like sub-optimal and, say, spelaean, Also thrasonical, denigrator, Properispomenon and amoebaean, Funniment, adjuvant, adulator - Words like these horrors delight the pretender: Knowledge rejects them with scorn and disdain. Lovers of English should therefore remember - Aways use only the clear and the plain.
*our use
EXCELLENT!!! Jili, you should post that on FB with his name :)
i love it jill
beautiful, jilli
Hmmm, dee, I just might do that. He wrote a lot of wonderful verses then that I'd like to get published, though, along with some other reminiscences of that time.
hint s please for the lower left e
Thanks, everyone!
truly wonderful
em 6 and pl em 7/32
and em5/14
here is the def of the em 6 and 7: a white bitter poisonous alkaloid obtained from ipecacuanha: the hydrochloride is used to treat amoebic infections. Formula: C 29 H 40 O 4 N 2
please do it jill... we have been urging walter to write his memories of ww11.. he was a landing craft pilot at normandy and was all over the euopean theater and gthe pacific. he is 86 now and we push him to write a feww pages every day
keep pushing sm... my dad was also in ww2, and unfortunately, he died before he wrote those memories... I so wi4 we had them for our daughter!
em5/14 is a mere ant
wen my grand daughter was in high school
I have approached a local publisher who seemed interested. Must follow it up, although I think it deserves a wider audience.
fb might bring you a fateful connection :)
20 years ago she did a project about the war and he went tohelp her with her presentation with his medals and a few stories and some pictures. ( he did not realise that the whole school would be there.. it was held in the auditorium)
True, dee.
wow sm... wonder if the school taped that?
a great lesson for those HS kids s'mom
The local publisher suggested self-publishing but I'm not in7ed.
no , and the principal said later that he regretted that. he did take pics though and the school newspaper did a write up on it
You definitely need to scrapbook those things, along with the medals.
he was surprised that they were interested and some of them told him about their grandparents exeriences .. he said it was a great day
I think it is ridiculous when they suggest self-publishing... who has that kind of money laying around...
yes we have them framed .. he has 5 bronze and 1 silver star and lots of ribbons
good clue jli :)
er...lying around ;-)
lol
oops sorry

sounds yummy s'mom
i have loved it all my life , but i can see where someone would not especially if they are not fond of foods that are new to them
last wek , i made new england boiled dinner and the next day we had red flannel hash ( it was a law when i was growing up)
she didn t like that wither-lol
I think that was something my grandmother made

4 weeks of not smokeing today :)
WOW, great Sarah
that deserves another hug
Congrats, sarah!
Definitely.
:) thanks
Hi again - that's awesomeSarah :)
hi liz
hi again Liz
I still think relift should be a word... like Joan Rivers relifts her face often :)
and lost 9 lb on diet :)
Lol
lol, and it's looking a bit tight now, isn't it?
unheard of doing both at the same time, well done!
that's great Sarah
that tight comment was regarding Joan Rivers
You must be feeling very proud of yourself, Sarah :)
i am very :)
bet the girls are proud of you Sarah
i am now sorting house with painting and new carpets :) girls love it that i no longer smoke :0
good to keep yourself busy like that
yes very and i give amies school what for to told them if do not sort this boy out thats being mean to amie again i would sort it
they certainly should do something about it, Sarah
amie would not go to school becouse of him last week . it is sad as i think words can hurt more then hitting someone i know amie is small for age but do not give them right to be mean about it
that cr5 word - Welsh?
Hope the school sorts it before half term, so she doesn't worry about going back after the break.
told head one more thing and going above her head as sick of it now
oh ty flosey, I had missed that one!
ah, how I yearned to be small - I was always tallest in most classes until almost HS
don't forget its plural
yes, nothing else would follow that one, would it
just don't get angry Sarah, stay strong and cool
amie is 11 this year but only in age 7 and this boy called her fat so then spent 3 days telling her she needs to eat and that she not fat at all
it hard not to get angry at school
yes it is very hard sarah, but try to stay cool - they're more apt to listen to you
I had to go to the HS principal once, didn't get anywhere so went to the Board - Board defended me against the principal
thats what told i do if any thing eles happen
Help with the Welsh word pls- not finding it! I guess it has no vowels!
all consonants Liz
cr + wi 4 minus the i .. then plural it
Ty. I was going in the wrong direction!
good clue Dee, I had forgotten which word it was
ty
may I have a clue for em6 please?

good morning all
Morning
hi xeiluj!
Hi, struggling with the c's today
am still typing words randomly through the grid, but it looks like the Cs start in an ugly place.
good morning, please could i have a clue for the in8
hi Jjenny, don't have it yet, but will help search for it.
Havent got that one yet
in7/8 combo, in + I am en*****led, captivated.
Hello everyone
hi lyn :) xxx
Thanks, I was going a completely different route and Hi lyn
yvw, I was blinded at first by the longer prefix.
I am particularly slow this morning Sprite as I still can't get the in7/8
it is not an obvious one, Jjenny. In + take out the ****sh (garbage) + other word for too = a**o.
Thank you sprite I would never have spelt it like that
yvw, and me neither. Weird one.
I used the Q, I used the Q! (happy dance)
Me now frantically looking, well done you though
and fireflies. Interesting grid.
Well done you!
babblet alert: one of those apparently vowelless combos.
Congrats Spritely!
Congrats, Sprite!
thanks :) Have fun, all, and I hope to see you tomorrow. *hugs*
Hello, Aeveryone.
Take care, Sprite.
hi Zooz
ch 6/33 - British spelling of a draw on a financial account
ooh..thank, BR!
hi BabRab..I am impressed - an American who knows how to spell that
Hello, lyn
the vowelless ... cr + different rocks *ea**er at different rates depending upon being sedimentary, igneous or metamorphic
Many thanks again, BR..although it has been in grids a few times..i always forget it.
And it plurals too.
a synonym for pismire is here too
Em5/14
em5/14 is the name of a christmas (older) movie "Em*** otter's Jugband Christmas"
Many thanks, Kyle :-)
Love that movie!
Must admit..i have not seen it..wonder if it is on netflix.
Zoom, you are such a gentleman. *Wink*
You might have Zooz - as a small child
I know, Molly ;-)...I love old movies, Lynxxx..will ask my parents the next time i see them.
That movie came out in '77 Zoom. I don't think we were young children anymore at that point. : D
I was very excited the other day and happily switched over to Labyrinth thinking it was the Jim Henson/David Bowie one that I watched a trillion times with my children - only to be sorely dissappointed by a newish mini series. not the same at all!
My kids loved anything by Russell Hoban.
Let me see...i would of been 13 then.
Thats a shame, Lynxxx..so disappointing.
I was only one then....
I remember 76 very well as we had a heatwave that year.
what a memory
I only remember it so well as i moaned & moaned how hot it was...now i would love a really hot summer this year.
come over anytime
Phantom : Thrash.
nice
Only as i am running out of finding more 'T's on that ti4..and i only have 8/21..lol
that just took me 2 minutes to work out what you were saying - I am too tired
oh it's ok finding TW ones now.
Bless you, Lynxxx..soon will be time for zzzzzzzz.
have you got tw5.18 & 6.30 and not the duo - I love that word
No...thank you...lokking
hi all. how are you today?
I do now though..thanks..but no DEF.
Hello, Medusa.
well you didn't think it would be straight forward did you?
hi zoom
hi Medusa
hi lyn
Babble is never straight forward..lol
and thats why we love it
That is very true.
I am seeing more phantom than real words today : Alarm.
me too zoom and i only just started!
The tw5 is an obscure word for a fixture in a furnace. Never seen it before.
Thanks, Molly..i do not recollect it either being in the grid before.
Enable really makes you work to find the definitions of some words. And that search was all convoluted because it thought I meant twitter.
It has been here a few times which is why I know it
Glad i said Summer earlier and not Wi 6 & 7 otherwise i would be in PB now..lol
thanks - I hadn't seen that
that just got me a least a dozen words
and gets me to half way - , think I'll have an early night - bye all
hehe..nice to help back after so many clues you have given over time.
Take care, Lynxxx.
Hello everyone :)
Hello, smores.

i have an early tidbit for you.as some of you may already know today is the last day of the penny for Canada.as of end of shift today at the royal canadian mint,we will produce no more one cent coins:) i must mention at this point to not bother trying to save a roll of 2013 pennies because everybody and thier grandmother is having the same idea and they will never be worth more than the metal they are stamped out of
i only have 49 words! lol
I only have 52 medusa :)
interesting crossy :)
thanks for the heads( or tails) up
as the coins make it to the bank, they will be held and sent for melting
we are not too far from each other then smores.

ac 7 32. ac plus dried grape without one of the vowels
ty xeiluj
ty, xeiluj
had tried the dried grape duh
thanks and hi xeiluj
y.w and hi
only problem with the end of our one cent coin is you KNOW every single store will have prices like $22.23 or $9,93. they will make sure that in every case that it will always have to be rounded up
always the way crossy
and it has a plural!
but that will not be right away as there are still 6 billiojn in circulation and it will take time for the banks to haul them all in
thanks, xei
No probs, someone clued it earlier for me
ty for the ac 7 xeiluj
<-- still scratching head about smores' q
me too, ruby
Ithink she was teasing us lol
Begins with ch, 6 33
rubyfoo - for the q, think of a way of spending money without using cash.
aaah, ty again, xei
i have a word using qu too
brit spelling of written note of money
I see quell
i got the money one
sounds like a good idea, boat!
Isn;t quell a word? Haz, where are you?
i believe it is, but there's only one EL in the grid, annie
OOOps, I see my error now.
I saw what I wanted to see. LOL
love those phantoms
yes, dawg, I was determined to be incorrect. LOL
lol, 19 remaining. need to get some brekkies. bbl to finish.
ttfn dawg
enjoy, later, dawg
143 left here
you are just ahead of me annie
can someone put me out of my misery and actually post the stats of the q word?
hit 100 words, but no nbt
ch6/33
ch6/33
ch6/33
I don't see a "qu" word in lickity,,, not starting with Q
snap
it does not start with q
There is no word starting with qu, gemini
obviously
"lol, that will teach me.wake up crossy and look at the list below the grid
for the "qu" word, the qu is in the middle of the word starting with ch 6/33. Think money, not cash but...
thoguh it is funny watching our southern friend fight with a check:))
phantom: lethe
here a check is a check mark on a report for example and the one in the grid is a note for payment from your bank account
stuck on the two e's on the left
em6/21, em7/32 and em5/14
and et4/5
think i will pull up the chog history and take my old invisible self and dive into the grid for a bit..sploosh!
found two of them, ty bzzn, but looking for the others
is the et4 welsh?
or just a babblet
I think so. Used often in the grid.
i need the 2 em words
I see ppl mention 'babblet' often in the chog. What does that mean?
a word we only see in here, that nobody ever uses
Ah, thanks :)
em6 and em7 end with a metal
I have em6 and 7, both having to do with throwing up
yay, half
see you later, kids
*woof*
bye, ruby, stay warm
{{annie}}
bye for now ruby
Daughters safely at school

hi, all. I've been up for a while, but I don't think Iwill have the heart for Babble today.
angel, how is your brother?
hi angel. i get like that sometimes
Annie, my brother passed on yesterday afternoon.
lol...just read back through chat, my mention of the q caused some confusion.
{{ Angel }}
im not getting the metal! lol
Angel, I am so sorry.
so sorry to hear that angel. my thoughts are with you and your familyy. ((hugs))
For the em words, the metal at the end is a *** roof.
em+ vowel + *** can
Then plural for the 7
Cat on a hot *** roof
thanks. got it now!
:)
my parents, my middle brother and a family griend and I were with him when he passed. My brother and I held his hands and comforted him as he passed, and my mother was standing with us at the bedside. Dad was in the room also. He is at peace now, but my heart hurts. I miss him so much.
Finally got all the 8's.
what are the stats for the 8s
I'm sorry for you loss, Angel.
Good morning, all.
at least he cant feel any more pain angel.
i need in8 then i got all 8s
good morning all
hi nana
ac8/45, in8/45 and sn8/55
So sorry to hear that, Angel. I guess I am not in the loop on your brother - has he been ill for awhile?
hi teach
yes, no more pain, and no more struggling for each breath. That is such a blessing.
:( I have also lost a brother, there are no words to ease that emptiness now, but it will get better
it is. no more suffering.
I lost my mother at a young age, but no siblings.
If your belief system allows, Angel, just imagine his spirit soaring freely and being surrounded by such intense love. I briefly saw the other side years ago and it was so wonderful.
{{Angelsong}}
{Mimi} good morning

hi car
hi car. and Mimi
he had emphysema and had about 20% lung capacity; he also had double pneumonia. We decided as a family to have the ventiator removed because he would have had no quality of life, and the doctors told us he would have to be on the ventilatior for the rest of his life; his other organs had begun to fail because of the stress from his lungs.
(Annie)
and he probably thanks you all for it too angel.
So sad and hard for you and your family to make that decision, but obviously the best thing for him. Was he quite young?
Prayers to you and your family, you made a very difficult, yet mercifully wise decision.
brb. need coffee
he had his 58th birethday on January 6. He was about 11 months younger than I.
I am not sad for him. I know he is with God. I am sad because I miss him, that's all.
That is quite young. So sorry for your loss, Angel.
Gotta get this killer week started so leaving for now. Had a good one, all.
Bye Mimi, hugs and prayers to you dear :)
I am so glad you have your faith to lean on, Angel. That is the only thing that got me through when I lost my mother. She was 52 and I was 24. She was my best friend and the most difficult thing I've ever gone through.
{{Mimi}} have a good day
trent, your story is very similar to mine. my mother was 52 and I was 26 and being an only child it was very hard.
I have lost two of my brothers now. The youngest one died as an infant, when I waa 9.
That is sad.
Agree trentsnana, the promise of being reunited one day is all that got me through losing my parents and brother
we told my brother yesterday that out loved ones who have passed would meet him. I can imagine the joy that brought.
Yes, I felt bad for my father-in-law when my mother-in-law passed. My husband and I were quite strong, knowing someday we will see her again. My father-in-law, on the other hand, is a non-believer and had a very rough time, thinking he'll never see her again.
I was not an only child, Annie. It would be difficult, not having siblings to lean on.
the Lord held us togeher emotionally so that we could do what we needed to do for him. for that, I am forever grateful.
I've gotta get my day started. Take care all - see you later. Hugs to you and your family, Angel.
Bye trent...enjoy your day :)
bye bye trent
Bye trentsnana. ((hugs))
ttfn trent
Hello all
hello mr bob
hi mr bob
((Annie)) that must have been a very tough thing to go through without siblings to lean on.
good morning mr bob
Hi Molly, yes it was and it took a while to come to grips with what happened.
phone
hello folks
hi hurshy
hello hurshy
how is everyone this monday
Hi again, had to grab a bite
hey smores
Not bad Hursh, and you?
bit headachy again. i'm hoping i have a parasite and that's what's causing it and then i could get treated and they could stop!
Doing well Hurshy, thanks :)
Hi Molly
i guess people don't usually hope they have parasites.
hmm...1st time I ever heard anyone hoping to have a parasite :)
Why do you think it's a parasite?
When do you go back to the doctor?
my cats have some parasites and are being treated. seeing as i regularly kiss their paws... it's possible.
i dunno smores, hopefully today.
but then i have to await the test results.
but i DO get to get my EYES checked today which is EXCITING because i am DYING for NEW GLASSES!
Well, here's to hoping you have parasites, as that may be a quick fix for ya :)
Oh cool
I'm way over due on having mine checked, I know I need stronger glasses.
Kitty wants in...BRB
not only do i need stronger glasses, i think, but both of the side pieces have come off of my pair and i had to glue them back with superglue and it's not the same, they are a bit loose
Could I have the stats for the L on the far left hand side? I have the le 5/18.
le4/5 and pl
Thanks hurshy : )
i always look for that and tahr as two words that are one letter off the cowardly lion portrayer, bert lahr. :) lol
the le is the name of a town in North Dakota
Now I have the le 4/5 and the le 5/18. What am I missing?
Plural of the le4, as Hursh said in her clue.
Oh! I didn't catch the plural part. Thanks MollyL :)
Thanks guys. L is done.
ch7 please
more bubble-gummy
ch7 - you ch** gum, and it gets ch*****.
thanks
hi all
maybe the new glasses will help with the headaches hurshy
maybe
hi rick
i would think some chocolates are more me**y or me*****
if your chocolate melts in your hand... you're eating it too slowly
I need a clue for in 7/32, please
haha. . . m & m commericials have gotten increasingly creepy i might note
an odd spelling of something that really keeps your attention, annie, it in7s (in8) you
to captivate, enamor, cause to be spellbound
In 7 - 8, Dracula would put someone under his... (minus on L)
found some nice s's but still need 9 more - so i don't know whether i like them or not.
thanks, got the in 7 and 8
why did i think hwin was a word? what is the actual hw word that is making me think that?
3125
hwan
cr5/22 please
3125? I'm strugglin just to get to 2000.
hwan for the money, two for the show, three to get ready....
ah thanks :)
hwan
LOL, Hi Hazel
hwan
Good morning/afternoon all.
Hello, Haz
hi haz
cr 5/22 does not have any vowels
hi haz
hello haz
oh we haven't had that one in AGES!
welsh then. . . .
thnx annie
Hello, hello! And I was pleased to see cr5, it used to visit us more often.
ty annie
youre welcome
i am still looking for zarf again. . . love that word
th7 rhymes with ch7.
thanks! hurshy
ty hursh
Someone ages ago had an operation called a triple arthrodesis and we joked that we'd look forward to the day when arthrodesis would be in the grid. I'm still waiting....
not getting the cr5 clue!
ah but longer ones have so much worse odds
cr+for all its *or**
what kind of word is that? thanks
the welsh kind
welsh like i said. . .no vowels
it's not so much no vowels as that they treat w as a vowel, no?
It's Welsh, w is the vowel.
would so never have got that!
that explains the chidrens rhyme
blythe drwg...
a-e-i-o-u and sometimes y and w
listening to the pronunciation of a word works better when the speakers are turned on.
i never could figure out when w was a vowel
my cousin speaks welsh. he lived there for a couple of years
i want to live in wales and work on doctor whoooooo
now that i think of it i am not sure what the point of differenciating between vowels and consonants is
so, the 8s are in, sn, and... ?
well i am over half way so gonna take a break for a while. be back later
bye medusa
What would your role be, hurshy? Acting, directing, script-writing?
Be well, medusa
ac8/45
you too br
mmm, something more support based probly.
cuddling up?
help keep track of the budget or something
hahahaha i crack me up
Someone has to do it, fighting daleks costs money.
zackly
Does he still fight daleks? I haven't watched the show for decades.
oh yes the daleks always manage to come back
last time, he made them forget who he was, though, so that's a big advantage
now, am i going to be able to get this ac8?
i bet they remember
At least they're clean monsters, some of the ones I'v seen in trailers look as if they'd drip goo all over you.
ac8 is a plural. That's another letter filled in.
it seems that if a monster is gooey you could kill it with salt
there was one monster on original trek that needed a lot of salt, so you could kill it by withholding salt.
Vowels are elongated sounds (sonant) that can stand alone whereas consonants are blunter sounding and almost always need a vowel to create a word. Hope that makes sense.
It would have to be a special type of salt only mined on the planet Klingon. (Mixing my space series up a bit)
martian salt then
We're all heading for the PB.
ty for answering my question boat. . .still seems sorta pointless
Entrapment by jmc.
More into Bob Cummings and Schultzy than a who doctor
there are loads of distinctions between consonants, too, not just between cons and vowels. there are liquids (r and L) which are less consonantal, and H is just an aspirant, in some languages only marked, not an actual letter. then you have labials and labio-dentals and some are voiced and some are unvoiced....
haha i hadn't thought about him for a while
ac plus what looks like a misspelled dried up grape.
sorry haz. . . . hadn't found it yet
*puts ca 6/36s and champagne in the PB for the crowd
ty haz :)
thnx haz
My pleasure :)
ooooo mimosas for everyone!
for most people, sure, there probably isn't that much use in knowing all this linguistic distinctions. but it helps linguists figure out how languages are related, which has helped us know how various civilizations spread and when and where.
It's okay, I had found it earlier in the day and had totally forgotten that the sa4 was there.
well that is something i can understand a use for hursh. . .the traveling of languages is facinating if beyond my reach
:)
maybe i should make margaritas instead and use the sa**?
pandemic consonants
haha BR
Linguistics is pretty technical, I did a year at university and thought I'd lost the will to live when they got onto transformational grammar.
"pandemic consonants" - Funny!
what do you transform into?
I mean, I like grammar a lot but that was beyond me.
hello babblers!
does it make you want to live a better life?
hey TO!
I've managed to blot it from my memory, jmc.
Hello, TO.
hi je hi hazz!
and the boy claims babble is a waste of time...i learn so much here!
hi Owl
transformational grammar...*pondering*
hi annie!
I've breached 2000 points. I'm out of here. Thank you everyone for the clue help earlier :)
omg it was created by noam chomsky!!!
This will clear it up: In linguistics, a transformational grammar or transformational-generative grammar (TGG) is a generative grammar, especially of a natural language, that has been developed in the Chomskyan tradition of phrase structure grammars (as opposed to dependency grammars). Additionally, transformational grammar is the tradition that gives rise to specific transformational grammars. Much current research in transformational grammar is inspired by Chomsky's Minimalist Program.[1]
Ah yes, Chomsky was oft quoted.
i read it BR and i still have no clue! haha
See why I used to be slightly bewildered?
bye boat!
i understand completely haz! haha
by boat
alas and alack i have to actually go do some work as it is the beginning of tax season. . . .dang i hate it when actually work cuts into babble time
Maybe they've made it more interesting nowadays with computer graphics but transformational grammar lectures in my day were less than inspiring.
je, are there really many changes his year ?
bye all (156 left)
i doubt the computers helped. . . *poof*
Rather you than me, jmc. Have a good day.
BR, Thanks for clearing that up. LOL
i am working on the most apt princess bride quote for each of my cats. cinder's is "i always think everything could be a trap... which is why i'm still alive."
i think marty's will be "as you wish."
but i have to think more about what mitten's would be.
Hard to get a glove on

yesterday I got booted, smack in the middle of an internet scrabble game.. made it back before my time ran out.. hate it when that happens
four me words refer to the tears and whimpers of a baby or young child
Hi all....clues please for cr5/22 .. cr6/36?
yes, BR.. and I was surprised it could not be used adverbally
TY, BR. Found 4 now.
cr5 is Scottish, I believe. Uses the 5 point tile in the middle
well...i was multitasking at the time. not givingbabble my undivided attention.
Flask.. weirdo word with no vowels
i need to see a dr and they were givingme appointmet times in May!!!
ty for the em sorry i was away from the computer and had to scroll
nbt
and nbs
holy cow, TO.. use Urgent Care?
that just mystifies me. what's aperson to do?
Is it your regular dr, TO?
no. specialist.
Can your regular dr call them to make the appt?
cr5/22 and plurals - it's a Welsh word, to rhyme with tru** or dare, but use no vowels.
Thanx Bzznbea and Aloy.....
if i care to spend another $25 to see him
TY, Haz
What does it mean Haz?
May be the only way you can get in sooner.
It's an instrument
them i will either heal or die. i am so tired of the healhcare system
em 5/14 --- a pismire
It looks like a guitar made out of a door.
cr 5 - an ancient stringed instrument of Celtic origin similar to the cithara but bowed in later types
musical instrument??
Yes, although the cynic in me wonders just what it sounds like.
i refuse to tolerate t his bs. and i refuse to seea nurse practitioner. if she is in the speciliast'soffice i actually have to pay a specialist fee to see her
ty Haz and teach.. wondered about that word
Me too, TO. Health insurance companies make me crazy and I am disappointed by so many of my colleagues.
interesting...thankyou!
You're welcome, Flask.
W is a sometime vowel. especially in Welsh
I would often rather see a nurse practioner as they are more "down to earth".
not the insurance. it is the doctors in this case. seriously, perhaps you do not need to have 4 locations so you canconcentrate on the patients you have . i need dermo care regularly.
Happy Monday, Babblers!
Haz : )...guitar made out of a door made me laugh. Kind of cumbersome to play. : )
hi judi
hi poodletoes (like your name).. and ty for that info
hi Judi
Hey, TO - can you go to an urgent care facility (Not ER) in your area? Here in Delaware, the co-pay is the same for specialist or urgent care.
hi judi
Molly, google it to see some images, it literally does look as though they've hacked down a dorr.
Some NPs are more thorough and caring than some MDs, but MDs tend to have better diagnostic skills based on clinical experience.
Hello everyone - sorry to hear you are still sick TO. I am as well - going on a month now and I am tired of it. I do have an appointment this afternoon to see my nurse practioner. I like her better than my PCP Doc who I saw 2 weeks ago for this same thing that has not gone away and so much worse
The urgent care joints are walk-in, no appointment necessary and you get to see a real doctor.
judi: need specialist

Respiratory illness, Riverdance?
*door.
Hahaha...it DOES look like a door.
Yes scrabbs - seems like I have been constantly hacking up a lung....cant get 20 minutes of sleep at a time
Told you!
Oh no, it's Captain Tripps. (The respiratory illness that won't go away. Stephen King reference.)
oooh, i forgot - pay an ectra $25 AND probably get flu or noro sitting in GP waiting room. Oh boy.
"The Stand". My fave SK book.
The Doc gave me a Z-pack antiobiotic and an albuteral inhaler and to take Mucinex - didnt work
If you have pertussis then you will cough for 90-100 days and nothing will help. It would be post-infectious bronchial hyperresponsiveness. It could be "walking pneumonia"--takes 6-8 wks to improve and at this point an antibiotic won't help. Have you had a chest x-ray?
found a You Tube clip that talks about the CR 5 and actually shows it being played - sounds close to a violin or psaltery
Mucinex, like other cold/cough meds, is useless.
oh head, why must you ac4!
no chest x-ray yet - will see what she says this afternoon....this all started on Jan 4
Right, I must get some paperwork done - enjoy the grid and have a good day and may all your cr6/36 stay in good tune.
lol bye haz
I agree about the mucinex - $14.00 box and did no good at all
Handy Dandy Band. Tissue paper & comb, jug and cr5.
Bye Haz
Bye!
bye haz
bye, Haz!
bye Haz
Be well, Haz
Cold and cough meds are frequently recommended or prescribed by health providers but the truth is: waste of money, ineffective, and bad side effects.
bye haz
i think mucinex is good for bronchitis cough
*Puts bubble wrap around River* It's been one health thing after another for you lately.
if you have mucus to loosen
wouldn't it work just as well to keep really hydrated?
Scrabs, I agree 100%
helped me but only taken for that specifically.
my chest is so tight - non-productive cough - my ribs and chest now hurt from the violent coughing
*singing* "The hills are alive...with the sound of mucous..."
poorriver.that is awful!
I drink water all day - I probably drink more than anyone I know so I am clearly hydrated
lol Judi
morning all!
Hello, Sue
hi sue.
♪With coughs they have heard ♫ for a thousand years ♫
hi BR!
and TO!
Riverdance, you could very well have pertussis--coughing spasms, exhausting, used to be called the "100-day cough", and antibiotic treatment would be useless at this point.
I drink all day too river.. but I'm not sure that wine really hydrates me enough
hi sue
and Molly and river and Judi and scrabs and ruru!
so sorry, River.. would a humidifier help in your bedroom?
Hi Sue. Nice try, Ruru
a crossy tidbit of the day for the ladies! read this report and check the list at the bottom before deciding on your cosmetic purchases http://tinyurl.com/aolvmo7
and here I am at work because they frown upon us taking days off and I have now already hit my limit for the year at 4 with this illness - took time off when I had a fever...
gm sue
oh ruru - guess that is my problem
And crossy and aloy! Wow!
*Pours Ru another glass of wine* Sorry about the 49ers. It a rough game.
I went out last week and bought a brand new humidifier for my bedroom - so far not really doing anything but I run it all night
oh oh, big lag time.. hi there crossy and sue and ruru too
ugh.. it was terrible
anyone care to weigh in on the ads? loved the doritos goat, hated the godaddy
well, yes, it would be if you're a 49 ers fan. They had a few great minutes there after the power outage, though. Gave me a tense few minutes
EVERYone hated the godaddy
My dislike of the Ravens has increased ten fold. Especially after that Cory Williams shove to the official.
I loved doritos too
I alway like the Clydesdales
I missed the farmer ad, the patriot ad, but loved the horse ad--tearjerker.
yes why wasn't he ejected?
godaddy.com is the host of a revenge porn site. there is no way i would ever support them. it is a disgrace and they hide behind +i just host it"
I only watched half the game so missed alot of the commercials but do have it recorded....will now fast forward through the game and watch commercials...lol!
I expected that too, Ruru. I figured being the Superbowl that that wouldn't happen though
I missed Taco Bell that I heard was grat
*great
I missed the godaddy too but liked the clydesdales and the doritos ad with the little girl and her dad
very slow chat response time today
Hee hee. The Taco Bell one was just off the wall.
And then Ray Lewis "If God is for you, who can be against you"...I guess that makes the 49ers organization a pack of God hating heathens.
yes taco bell was good and thankfully we had good foof beause the bell was right across the parking lot! Doritos taco loco!
go daddy spots were icky
I went to bed during 3rd quarter. The game wasn't important and I can watch ads on youtube today
and then at 10 they gave us free pizza
I must get back to work - have a great day everyone
bye River, hope you feel better asap!
Good luck, Riverdance, with that cough.
bye river!
thanks everyone
i hate that bs,molly. as if religion is an ornament to wear and display to all
Or as if "God" cares about a football game outcome
yes, I always thought it would be an odd deity that would care about the outcome of a sports contest
Hard to tell what god cares about
seriously.
God is a Babbler, right?
ray lewis isn't one to speak about sinning
true, aloy! :-)
anyway I must go, see you all later! Nice to sign on in the morning and see so many friends here!

I'm tired of winter; bring on the Spring!
I love winter, hate summer and spring will do
it's just long and dark. Not a lot of snow, just nasty
got it
I like being cozy warm, baking, cooking, reading, Babbling
medusa a hint for the ta 7, pls
this is not a cozy house
I have a very cozy house
this is drafty and no central heat; the only warm spot is in front of the fire
i dont know what it means but just gonna look for you bichon
The joys of American central heat. I would give up eating French food for that
ty medusa
I never thought of asking when we bought the house
the view makes up for it, most of the time
apparently its a small primate.
I got the ta 6/18
now I got it. So much to learn from Babble
found the ta7! had the 6
cool. i just googled it to see what it looks like. want one!
They look cute, til they bite
it probably wouldn't like your climate
i know. my flat is very warm but prob not for one of them. still too cute though
will google it after
I'm now trying to catch Ruby because the vet is coming and both dogs tend to hide
bless! i hope they are ok
she comes once a month to listen to Ruby's heart
Rufie is huge, bigger than Ruby now and voracious, but affectionate in a cat-like way
lol

Good Afternoone Everyone. How are you on this beautiful winter day?
Hmmm. Everyone must be Babbling seriously on their lunch break; or they went to lunch leaving Babble open. It says there are 143 people online here; but no one is chatting. Oh, well; Happy Babbling anyway! :-)
Hi, me just back to see if i can get the last 72
hi xeiluj. How are you today? I've just started about 1/2 hour ago; have NBT and am working on NBS
I am good, just home from work, how about you?
doing well, thank you. Lazy right now (Mondays are "recovery time from having the grandson here); but it's DH's b'day so will have a fun evening
Cool, what you got planned
Cool, what you got planned
hello, back. Vet just left and both dogs are fine
We're going out to a hibachi (sp?) grill for supper tonight; kind of entertainment and supper all at once.
Hi ruby. Your vet made a house call for the dogs, ruby? Are they okay?
hello nef. That sounds like a good plan
she comes once a month with Ruby's heart meds and to check on Rufie. They're both doing well and there is no way I could get them into the car
Happy Birthday to Mr. Nef. Hope you two have fun celebrating.
Rufie, at one year, is bigger than Ruby. She couldn't get over how big his feet are and how sweet and gentle both dogs are
Sounds great. Hope it goes well for you. Ruby, can't believe your vet comes to see you, that is so great. Glad they are both ok
hi Molly
it's on her way home from the clinic where she works
she has known other chows and they were all nasty
Thanks, Molly. I hope he enjoys it (he doesn't know where we're going yet; our kids and the grandson are going too)
that sounds like a great party, nef
ruby, you are very lucky to have such a nice vet. And I'm glad the dogs are okay.
she used to come for autistic Max and has come ever since
she used to come for autistic Max and has come ever since
Nice to have such a good relationship with her
(not every month, that's just since Ruby developed the heart murmur)
Definitely a keeper vet, then, ruby. I've been thinking of switching vets; but I've been too lazy to do so (my friend tells me that he's more expensive than others in the area) But he's the closest to us
she's been coming for about 6 years
The good news is that our pets haven't ever had many problems, so it isn't at the top of my priority list.
the old vet would make housecalls for Max, but he charged a fortune and she charges very little and doesn't mark up the (expensive) meds
Max had what looked like mange but I think was just OCD and the Prozac I put him on, helped that
that's really nice of her!
we're very lucky
80 left and I'll say good night. Have fun, Nef and famille. Bye everybody
good night, ruby!
congrats hurshy

boy,am i ever glad that puxatawny(sp) phil and our very own wiarton willy did not see a shadow!! (as crossy watches the snow rise up to the height of the door handles on the car....)
hehe, cosdem,i did the exact same thing this morning
I have a netbook so the key grid is hidden from view lol
i use an asus transformer netbook/tablet so i get to see the key grid if i use it in portrait mode vs landscape mode
i love the detachable keyboard
Yes but for you Canadian people, early Spring means mid August, right?
well, with global warming we are actually getting rid of the snow by mid june now!!:)))
nbt :P
tbh,i am glad to see a good old fashioned snowfall like this again.the last three winters were wimpy and pathetic.you never realize how badly you miss snowshoeing, skiing, snowmobiling etc untill you have 2 years without it
time for judge judy bbl
this year a group of us will also be doing a polar bear dip to raise funds for new hospital equipment..hope one of them is a new defibrillator for down by the docks when we cut a hole in the ice and jump in..:)
lol...crossy
feb 24th is the day.will try and get some video to share with you
yes, please do that :)
we all go down just wearing running shoes on bare feet and housecoats with our swim trunks on underneath and once the cameras are rolling we kick of the shoes, drop the housecoats and dive in amongst the ice and water;)) great fun and good for the pores:))
lol...
rs
hi all
Must be a cultural difference. I always think of housecoats as for women.
Hi Peri
maybe he means robe, Molls
help with ra7 pls
Oh I'm sure that is what was meant. I've just never heard the term housecoat used for men. No biggie.
Hi peri :)
must be a canadian thing
ra7 is a tool
I have ra6 which I think is a tool
Starts like rodent Peri. Similar to ra6/24
ty Molls and smores
yw
I need 7 more 7's and lots of other words. spent most of the day at a funeral :(
:( sorry peri
thanks, one of my first cousins. he was a kind, generous, funny man. he will be missed.
{Peri}
hi all
sorry for your loss peri
*wonders if they will need the difibrallator for one of the swimmers*
((((Peri)))) sorry for your loss
a ra7 is less of a tool than a mechanism used in tools to make them more versatile
<===knows tools
ty jmc and Chrissie
so the tool is called a socket wrench and the mechanism is ra7?
and smores
that is one kind of tool with a ra7 mechanism
*Thanks God Smores didn't get all panty wadded about the correction*
it is the tooth cog that allows the tool to turn in one direction and then move back in the other direction without moving the tool. . . some screwdrivers have them too
lol...the only one I am familiar with...I thought it was just called by 2 different names
My panties rarely get wadded Molly...lol
nope . . . and that is our lesson for the day! :-)
Well now I know...cool :)
mine are only wadded at the end of the day on the way to the dirty clothes basket
LOL
dang someone is at the door bbl
That is good. You have to walk on eggshells around here a lot of the time.
nah..hard to learn anything with wadded up panties :)
Also hard to have a sense of humor. It's the crankiness factor, I think.
Help with the lone E in the second column for nbt please?
et4/5 I think
yep, that's the one :)
Thanks smores
<----wouldn't survive without my sense of humor :)
lol...warped as is may be at times
*it
yw Chrissie
Love the chat for clues, laughs and caring support. Ignore crankiness, niggles and disputes.
Agree Chrissie
Good advice Chrissie. I am grateful every day for the ability to turn chat off.
I have to deal with enough cranky people in real life. I don't need that in a chat on a game I play for fun.
Is there a way to turn it off Molly? I sometimes click the "who's online" tab when I don't want to see clues.
That's what I mean.
Yes, life's too short Molly
Cool
And the main reason I have to turn chat off is because of people who just blurt out random clues one after another. I like to find words on my own.
Sounding a bit cranky there Molly, lol
Me too, although I do use and apprecitate clues, I don't want them when I am 1st starting.
lol....apprecitate...hmmm new word
But I understand with all the different time zones, when I am first starting, many are finishing up.
I don't mind clues in chat, here and there when someone gets stuck. But lately, chat has just become one big clue fest. I tallied one day and almost every word in the grid (except a few 4s) had been clued. Isn't the whole purpose of this game to find the words on your own? Eh, I guess it is for me.
Wow, that's alot of clues
Soooo, in spite of all that, can I get a clue for the sa5/10 ? :)
<---waits while Molly un-wads panties...lol
th7/48 any clues?
Can I buy a vowel, please?
never mind...I found it...done with S's
:) Hi Greyhound
Hey Smores
sorry majmom, don't have it
leer
oops-si-daisy
:)
majmom, do you have the ch7/52? if so replace the c with a t :)
Well, I must go fix dinner....be back later :)
ty smores
*Wonders if Smores is having Lasagnghetti for dinner tonight*
Hello all. Just getting started. Today is clothes washing and folding day. And I did that. Also we went into town with a list of things to do which included washing the car (I get coupons from my oil change dealer.)
Productive day, Gran Mere.
Yes. I rarely do shopping but I wanted to get batteries for our phones and we needed some old fashioned expandable files for some paperwork. We took Murphy and he went through his first car wash. Maybe it was his last one, too.
I can see why a car wash would agitate a dog. : )
Oh, sorry, I see I used a grid word.
Well, Murphy was amazed but not agitated. I don't think I've ever seen him agitated. He gets really happy sometimes and runs around like he is a wind up tow.
wind-up toy.
Hi again, sauce is simmering, back for a few more :)
And that probably doesn't work in the confines of a car.
LOL, Molly, no, just spaghetti, and left over crusty bread from last night.
Good morning from here / good afternoon / evening to you :)
No. Our car is so small that the back seat is filled up when he lies down. I am going to get a bigger car when the 2014 cars are out. I don't want a 13 year car. It may be silly but there it is.
Hi Liz
Hi liz! Gray skies here with a tease a blue. The great Northwest is still in the middle of winter.
Morning Liz :)
Similar skies here today but much warmer I'm sure!
We all have our superstitions Gran Mere.
I suppose so Molly. Anyway I am enjoying the grid and the feeling of finishing a good day.
It's a good grid. I've come back this am with 40 left - and am just listing. That's very good for me!
Bye again
Bye smores - enjoy your dinner :)

welsh stringed instrument, according to google
Hi cybernan. How are you today.
hi stidg -- haven't seen you here for awhile. How have you been?
Welsh words often don't have what we consider vowels in them.
Clue the ta 7/32 plz
can you pronounce that word please Molly?
I'm fine. Cyber. Just enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
dont see a ta 7/32, rnp 7/28?
Yes the 7/28 plz
The w in the Welsh word is pronounced similar to a "short sounding oo" - I lived near Cardiff for a while and there was a town there called Cwm Bran - pronounced coom
Or like the u in the name Ruth
more of the preceding ta 5/10
Ty got it.
like "crooth" Liz?
Yes - but it's quite a short sound.
Possibly more like "book"
Desperately trying to think of sounds, that match!
did anyone find that cr 5/22?
no worries - dont think i'll be using it in conversation!
Me neither - that's the word we're talking about nan :)
i tried to clue it at 5:51 Nan
ah - welsh!
of course :)

Emily Litella : D
the old Saturday Night Live with gilda radner, john belushi etc was the best
Sorry Miss Curtin, it won't happen again...bitch!

Those were the best Saturday Night Live years. It's not nearly as funny now as it was then.
yes and I missed a lot of them cause I was working and could not stay up very late
Working early on Sunday morning?
no, just tired from working all week
agreed but the Farley/Hartman years were pretty good!
FW going to check TV listings. byeee
Not to forget Martin Short. Ed Grimley was one of my favorites.

I need a sugar fix so I can start grading papers
Yep, my first impression of a mexican restaurant is whether they have mole
what do you teach Harry?
high school science and math
I made my own turkey mole from scratch one Thanksgiving many years ago - it was delicious but a lot of work
I wondered if it was English!
me too, jilli. I am not a fan of tacos, refried beans etc. never aquired the taste
I wouldn't have the slightest idea of how to teach english

I am well thanks. Liking the longer daylight
yes, daffs pokong up.
wow typo-night, sorry!
We are supposed to be in the low 50s tomorrow...keep checking the calendar to make sure it is February
Where is that Saan?
hmmm I don't even have crocuses or snowdrops yet
still cold here, and snow (although it only started last week)
Lotus Land of Canada, near Victoria on Vancouver Island
And we should be below zero...
The only sign of spring we have is that there was still just a hint of light in the sky as I was driving home from work at 6:00 pm
Saanichcat is at the low end of Vancouver Island and I am half way up so we get spring just after them. Stidmama is about the same distance farther south and her garden is going nuts
It's a wee bit lighter in the early morning too.
Butchert Gardens is just across the cove.
Ahhh, that is very pretty place...
can you sit outside on a summer evening and enjoy the fireworks Saanich?
Never heard of a garden going nuts in early February. Even way south of here.
Not quite half way yet...but gotta locate something to fill my tummy
Sure is. I usually get a season pass. go for a walk whenever I want
stid was pretty suprised herself
I hope it's hearty stuff growing because there is nowhere in the US that is past a hard freeze at this point.
It snowed here in Boston all day and we didn't even get an inch.
Bugs, it's a Saturday night tradition! We all go down with wine or whatever, go for a swim. The cove is wall-to-wall with small boats getting a free view too. The tress have frown over the years so we onlt see the high ones. Best night is the last one, when they use up left-over fireworks. Then a bunch of us take a picnic into the Gardens. Fun!
you see some daffodils poking up here - mostly the ones that are planted way too shallow in peat
she sounded worried about another freeze and it is entirely possible.
she's in western Washington, Molly, the weather there is pretty mild
Same here Harry, about the shallow daffodils.
February usually brings cold weather where I am.
that sounds like so much fun saanich
I always wonder if they die after the first time they poke out
It has been over 20 years since I visited the gardens
well Bugs you are always welcome!
hasn't changed much, just better!

hi, everyone
french spelling of what you write to the phone company to pay your bill
Bugs it is a draft on an English bank.
hi welki!
Hi welki
thanks Harry and wht. It is how we spell it in Canada and I was totally blind to it
English spelling too - its how we spell it down here
hi lynnx
DONE! I couldn't find my last word, and it was my favorite nut!
wooo - this is some show, "what's your car worth" - 1956 lancia just sold for $510,000!! ohhhh, i wish i could ....
congrats Harry!
now they're on a 1966 mercedes 230 sl convertible - gorgeous
wtg Harry
well done Harry and hi welki
But how much would you have had to put into the Lancia to keep it running since 1956?
gnight!
i have a friend who goes down to the barrett-jackson auctions - must be nice :)
the lancia was restored, the mercedes is completely 'as is' and is an extraordinary vehicle
if you could afford those cars, you would employ your own mechanic wouldn't you?
the evaluator just put a $75,000 price on the mercedes, the owner is looking for $100,000 - we shall see
oh lynxx, if i had that kind of money .... yeah, a mechanic, jay leno's mechanic!
('night harry)
I had "vintage" Saab 96 once. I don't know how many miles were on it and it didn't matter since neither the engine nor the odometer were original.
in case - jay leno is a late night tv host/comedian - has an incredible collection of beautiful and unique vehicles
yeah - his 'garage' is amazing
oh wht! i've had 7 saabs - i had an 86 9000 turbo - that was my first one! love them!!
ugh - 5th last word - Harrys nut
83 900 sport, 84 900 sedan, 2001 9-5, 2007 9-3 aero convert, 2007 9-3 aero sedan, 2008 9-7
I had a 1975 Saab once. It was the only year they ever made a lemon. It drove like a charm but the cost to fix it was horrendous
But it did come with the dealer's service manual. I was just looking through it once and saw some procedure. The first step was 1) Remove engine. I decided I would probably not be doing that in my driveway anytime soon.
of course, like jmc, they are worth nothing now
<-- has the service manual for jmc when i come visit
jmc is not worth nothing.
oh that's right, get me into trouble, wht - the CAR is worth nothing now (she has a saab 9-3)
lol, I was going to ask what Welki was saying too!
My Saab 96 thought it was a Saab 93 with the 2-stroke engine. It still took a quart of oil every time I filled the gas.
and i've had very few problems with the saabs - the 86 9000 had 400,000 miles on it when i sold it
hello...could i get a clue for the em's
but alas, alack, i am saab-less now - unloaded the last one last month
and done. a long but enjoyable grid. Bye everyone, must get productive
em*** kelly, the clown
bye, lynxxxxxxxxxxx
em6,21 em + vowel + can
And then plural
(yeah yeah, i know em*** kelly spelled his name with 2 of those last letters)
yipes! 1930 dusenberg - just sold for 2.4 million - that's incredible, and a little shameful
(and the owner "only" expected to get 1.2 mil)
I bet it was a doosy of a car.
no kidding. i can't even imagine - and looking at the car, i can say it didn't look that special to me. shows you what i know
hello again everyone. We had a delightful time for DH's bday tonight (took the whole family to Hibachi Grill for supper; DQ cake for dessert after)
Wht, you are channeling my Dad with "doosy" : D
Next thing I know, Wht is going to use "swell" or "nifty" : D
Sounds fun Nef
hey nef - mmmmmm - DQ cake
hi, molly
It was; but our grandson got scared with the fire tricks
Where do you thing the phrase "It is a doosy" comes from? It referred to a Dusenberg.
hi Molly and welki
** finito ** last word AL 6/18
YAY, wv!!! WTG!!!
wtg teach :)
That's interesting Wht. I've always seen it spelled with a z.

Don't trust my spelling. I have heard the word more than seen it.
javascmolly - seeing your hearts the other day reminded me that is was time to make a changeript:void(0);
hi sue! How are you doing today? How's Frank?
We are good, nef. It sounds like you had a good birthday celebration!
we did have a nice time, sue. :-)

Hi everyone, I'm just here for a minute and I need some help, please. clue for the sh 7. Thanks
Hello all...don't know if I will finish this one...
sh 7 - breed of dog.
Hi Jilly :0
sh 7 - bit like taking cover from rain but with a 2 vowel ending
Thanks Lizlin, I thought I tried that! Got it.

So I double clued it

Good job Liz
Here for a little longer before lunch - if I can help with stats or clues.
And I missed your first clue
np!
sorry if my response sounded sharp - it wasn't said that way!
brb phone
Liz, you couldn't sound sharp if you tried. I know the "sharpies" here and you are not one of them. : D
ty Molly - because I think there is at least one I seem to have upset!
I'm sure you didn't mean to, and don't give it another thought. If people want to be cranky, we must let them, I suppose.
That's my attitude and I continue to be me and say hello etc in my usual way - they can take it or leave it!
I think I am going to call it a night - see you all tomorrow!!
Niters sue...
Night Sue - enjoy the rest of your evening and sleep well :)
Helllo again :)
Hi smores :)
Smores, Liz and I were just discussing panty wadders. : D
Hey Lizlin :)
lol
Time for lunch - BBL. Enjoy your evenings :)
Bye Liz...enjoy your lunch dear :)
Guess if my panties were wadded I'd be grumpy too, sounds quite uncomfortable.
Hence the term. It's so perfectly descriptive of the cranky.
:)
BVD bunchers?
Ooo, I like it Tor.
I always assumed tighty whities was the problem. Too constricted. Ergo, cranky.
Fruit of the gloom :D
A knot in your thong ..

Bye for now ruru
gnite, west :-)
night cwest...get some rest
<dylan and I recently got attacked by a pitt bull une.. not on my faves list
The potential for "lethal" takes all the cute out of a pit bull puppy for me.
eekk...were either of you hurt badly ruru?
so sorry, ru -- the rescue pitties I've helped with have all been very loving and gentle
Molly, it depends on how they're trained . . . as is true of most dogs
no.. just a nip at dylan.. the owner came out and grabbed the dog before there was more trouble
My condo development has flat out quit letting people move in who have pit bulls.
scary, ru -- glad you were both ok
Glad to hear it ruru
Molly, that's policy here too
my testicles retracted like I jumped into Lake Eyrie though
i'll bet . . .
LOL...
a big chow came at me once when i was walking my dogs -- scared the bejesus outta me
the owners didn't realize the invisible fencing battery had died
Same policy at a lot of places here as well Molly.
*Wonders if women's ovaries shrivel up when they get scared*
:)
Well if that is the case (not allowing pit bulls) I think it is more than just the training. Because trust me, we don't have any genius dog trainers in my development.
*calling todd akin
ovaries long gone, but can attest to bladder being quite active in scary situations! LOL
LOL
<---Calls TMI on Une
Molly, I'll get off my soapbox, but dogs are not born mean . . .
Come on Molly, if ruru retracting testicles weren't called..... :)
sorry re TMI LOL
It's okay Une, I know that you know dogs much better than I do.
Agree Une, however certain dogs are much scarier than others if they do become aggressive. Pit bull, Rotts, Dobermans are the ones I am most cautious of.
That right there is one of the things I love about Babble, folks ..
What's that tor ?
I understand, smores, it's just that pit bulls get such a bad rap -- mostly undeserved
A civil exchange of opinions with no bunched up panties ..
retracting testies, bladder control issues, dogs.....lol
:) we can play nice
I had never been exposed to pitties until I started doing rescue transport -- it's been an eye opener for me -- I had heard nothing but scary stories about them before
I don't think it's undeserved. Those breeds would not have the bad raps that they do if they were not constantly involved in attacks.
It is nice, isn't it Tor? Sometimes I think we need to stock the PB with Midol and estrogen supplements.
I think we hear more when it's a pit because the attack is more severe. That is why certain breeds scare me more. I think chihauhas are more aggresive and bite more people than pits, they just don't do much damage.
and special brownies from colorado
in all my transports, the only time I was ever bitten was by a little doxie! LOL
yes, cos!!
Indeed Cos, how could I forget those? Chill chocolate.
WooHoo Cos....now we're talkin'
;-) I find it chills people off and makes them more friendlier. KJust saying.
:-D
My ex used to say that he would much rather be approached by a stoner than a drunk in a dark alley. Because all the stoner was going to do was ask him if he had any Cheetos.
Besides if I wanted to get my panties in a wad Id go on Facebook :0
LOL
lol Molly.. when Amendment 64 passed in November here, the governor replied with "dont break out the cheetos and goldfish yet"
One of the many reasons I stay away from Facebook. Histrionics Central.
well the pro amendment 64 campaign sent him a shipment of cheetos and goldfish when he eventually signed it into law :P
That is hilarious cos
BRB
priceless, cos :-)
Goldfish are for yuppies. Serious stoners need cheetos, Doritos or Sun Chips.
I have all 4 in my cupboard! *lowers head*
Bravo! Well prepared for a munchies attack.
Also went the healthy route today. Got craisins, pitaschos, yogurt raisins as well
Cheetos are the herion of junk food for me. I never keep them in the house because once I start eating them, I can't stop.
Thats me and corn nuts
fireworks
Well done Cos
WTG cos !! congrats
Cats are all in now, I can get comfy.
I don't know anyone who has outdoor cats. Must be suburban living.
All three of mine love the outdoors. Fine by me, I rarely have to clean the litterbx :)
congrats, cos!!
I used to have one that never came in. I had a catbed on the front porch she slept in, use to worry me in the winter.
Congrats, cos!!!!!
howdy, peach :-)
Hey there, Unea. How are you doing?
ok, thanks, and you?
Hello again - here to give clues if wanted :)

My favorite was Egghead Jr., the little chicken with the big glasses. : )
Bye peach, hope you feel better
Definately my favorite as well Molly
It's a shame that they don't make cartoons like that anymore. Thank God Looney Tunes are still around.
Yeah, I'm gonna have to pull up some old Looney Tunes after I finish here :)
I got a bootleg dvd on ebay with all the Foghorn Leghorn cartoons ..
