Glant, just read back about your mum. Hubby was due an op for trigger finger in 3 digits when told about dog oil. He rubbed it into the joints daily and adter a few weeks the problem was relieved. He didn't ned the op, still uses the dog oil a couple of times a week 5 years later. Might be worth a try on mum's wristd.

turns out that was a design flaw (which I pretty much already knew) that they had fixed in newer models and that they had to change my. . . POLLEN FILTER!

no, they were born in the enclosure cage.the first one had to be helped out with rope and then they just pulled the other one out by hand.there is now a ewe with a single lamb in the enclose.i saw them bring her down next to it and then she did a runner and you couldn't see them as she was in the darkened corner.

i used to watch a hummingbird cam - we get some here, i used to get lots back in the eastern u.s. - very cool to see the babies hatch
apparently they check up on them every 2 hours but in the day time at the moment the farm is open to visitors so they will probably get checked up more often.they seemed to know that one of the ewes was in trouble and i didn't even realize she was in labour so they must have been watching her
hehehe - and then there's an eagle cam, guess there are lots of cameras taking video of the private lives of animals
how cool. i have watched the owl one that i was told of from here last year but never saw them hatch
(do not want to see the videos of the private lives of people - i'm sure there are plenty available *lol*)
but it is so great to watch a new life being born whatever it is
hehehe - so long as we don't look too far into the future (in the case of lamb cam, for instance)
well, you never know..lol saying that i watch a programme here that shows newborn babies being born, but i don't think i want to watch it all the time.i think it's a fascination with women because we do give birth and can't see our own being born...maybe?

hello all. well has ANYONE seen a lambborn? dammit i couldn't stop watching and stayed up way too late,thinking that like human babies they like to come at night and early AM
hi TO.there were a couple born about 4am my time and then twins born tonight but they needed help at about 7.30pm and then another lone lamb about 20 minutes later
they are all lying down at the moment
a couple are stood up now. i think they are all tired and stressed with seeing the farmers in the pen tonight
i saw the twins tonight :)the lone lamb was in the corner so we couldn't see it
last night i saw twins just wansering around from the top right to the bottom right, looking for a meal
they take them away, don't they, so the other ewes don't snatch them?
they take them away and put them in the poly tunnel and the lambs will get fed extra milk from children as the farm will be open this weekend to the public.some ewes will try and adopt them, but others will head butt them as they are not theirs.it happened this morning to the twins as they were wandering around
i wonder if it is the same two i saw about 2AM our time, which would be 7 yours
not all lambs will go into the poly tunnel as too many so the other ones and their mams will go into other sheds
i was wondering why no one came to take them
they looked so lost

never been to the isle of wight. there's an amusing novel wjere a rich englishman fecreates all the british sights on the Isle of wight so that's all where people need bother to go. Houses of Parliament, famous cathedrals, etc. Vast theme park. I think there's a similar novel abt Cornwall but it has pyramids, eiffel tower, etc.

most of the filas i've seen are a bit.... loose? like they have sloppy tendons in their joints. But most of the Filas I've seen also come from the same breeder who gave me Little John, so that might not be a fair evaluation of the breed as a whole.

jess, i have two dogs. my cats are gone. there is barely enough room on the bed for the humans - add a mastiff to the mix and i might as well just sleep at work
