as far as I know it was cow...
during a long-ago beef boycott in NY State, I bought horse. It wasn't terrible, just very orange
it's considered a delicacy in Holland
bison is really good but quite pricey
I don't believe I have ever had horse but I don't have any problem trying most anything
the only proteins I won't eat are seq cucumber, jellyfish, wild boar, deer, and rabbit

Yellowstone is in the south west corner, it's mostly in Wyoming. Glacier national park is in the Northwest corner of the state

big sky, ennis, west yellowstone, cook city, gardner, paradise valley, livingston,...those are the only towns i can think of off the top of my head near the park entrances in Montana. Trentsnana, is closer to the area and probably knows them better than I do.

450g pack pork sausages 2 tbsp wholegrain mustard 2 tbsp tomato ketchup 1 tbsp golden syrup or honey 2 tbsp olive oil 1 red onion peeled and sliced 1 red pepper, deseeded and diced 200g mushrooms, wiped and quartered 1 tsp chilli powder 400g can chopped tomatoes 150ml apple juice 300g cooked left over pasta bows (or other shapes) 150g Edam or other firm white cheese, diced 6 easy steps... Preheat the oven to 400F/200C/Gas 6. Place the sausages in a baking try and cook for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, mix together the mustard, ketchup and golden syrup. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and add the onion, red pepper and mushrooms, stir fry for 5 minutes then add the chilli powder, chopped tomatoes and apple juice and stir well. Stir in the cooked left over pasta. Spoon into an ovenproof serving dish. Remove the sausages from the oven and slice each into 3 on a diagonal. Tip into a bowl, drizzle with the mustard mixture and arrange over the pasta. Scatter with diced cheese and return to the oven for 20 minutes.

at the worst of it they were going to issue me some marinol tablets to see if i could get some weight back on.since the steroids have so much side effect

He is my colleague and buddy, several of us just burned the prarie in his back yard--we do it every year--and we heard all abt the event and all the fun activities going on. I've taken all Charlie's astronomy classes except the ones too advanced for me. He is our renaissance man since I aklso took Dante and Joyce etc--I have been one of the few profs who take other profs classes.
and oddly he has trouble with nausea after they undo his pump (he has a pump for 48 hours every other week) so takes antinausea meds just before the pump comes off - no trouble since that first cycle

I lived for a couple of months in a fishing village on the coast of Kenya. The nearest place with electricity was a border crossing 10 miles away. The stars were incredible and I really came to appreciate the relationship between the moon and the tides as well.

I have written a poem on meteor showers for the column I have--I think uusue has it--I won't quote it but Demi and I were alone out in our little rowboat on the night of the Perseids a few years back, waiting, drowsing, nothing much happening, and suddenly a streak lit up the whole sky for an instance--and a moment later, a great sigh went up all along the shore of the lake--we realized everybody was out on their docks in the dark and the stillness.

molly, the end of the day i don't get to spend alot of time with him, and as i love him, i put up with it. it is very hard and i kick and hit him in the night but saying that he also fidgets and i nearly get knocked out by his elbows and hands(his hands are like big plates)

belief me nef, i know what it is like to be on the other side. when i was 17 and half i started work in a pyschiatric hospital and i was on a ward for 2 weeks when i got strangled by an 87 year old man and i thought i was going to die until a portuguese orderly got him off of me.i then went in to my ward gasping for breath, purple faced with a hand print around my neck and the nurse on shift said 'this is what it's like' so i grew up very quick and had eyes in the back of my head....and do you know what? i love every minute of the 3 and a half years i worked in that hospital. alot of people i cared for shouldn't have been there

I once got locked in a padded room to give an injection of Librium to a violent, combatant patient who'd just beaten up 3 highway patrol officers. I was all of 19 at the time; no psych experience to speak of, and the orderly was too scared to go in the room with me. It wasn't fun; but somehow I was able to give the injection and get out of the room before he pummeled me too much.
nef, you're right, we needed some black humour, without that we couldn't have done our job. i then cared for people with special needs and severe behavourial problems and i enjoyed that but we still needed our sense of humour and black humour

(Psych was NOT my favorite work place! When I spent 4 months of my senior year of nursing school at the state hospital learning about psych patients; they assigned me to a patient who was paranoid schizophrenic. I'd walk on the locked ward and he would head to the bathroom and stayed there for the whole 8 hours I was on the unit! My care plans with the whole "therapeutic interactions" were miserable!
