i'm trying to keep as much to the original era of the house, with taps etc, and am keeping the old tilux on the walls.
tilux is plaster sheeting, already embossed as if it is tiles, plan to make it look like the original by painting in the grooves with white, to mimic grouting.
That will fit perfectly with the rest of the house.
sure hope so....am ever so sorry that we didn't do before and after photos of the bathroom. but will definitely do so for the rest of the house.
I was always awful at taking photos in the other house. Once we moved, I regretted it. I'm glad you thought of it now.

Local kids get a winter break in Feb x 1 wk, then the week off after Easter.
We get the week off in February and then this week in April. I do prefer it when it starts right after Easter, but it was soooo early this year.

He should not be driving.
I know that, but haven't the heart to take away his autonomy. He is OK when he goes to his 2 or 3 usual places. If I stop him from driving, I think it will finish him.
I only go with him as far as the next village
wow, here, when we reach 80, we have to have a medical exam before our drivers license can be renewed - if you fail that test, then there are 2 more options
His driving is surprisingly good, he just doesn't know where he is going. I imagine that one of these days, he won't come back --THEN I'll take away his keys
