Thanks much, flosey.
yw peach, wtg freep
Congrats, justafreep.
how on earth can you un5/20
lol, guess it makes as much sense as un6/24
I was just gonna say that, flosey. those two are unwordable in my book
flosey, do not use thread and needles.
yes, use to do that a lot, have even ripped out but un5?
and the un6-33 is pt
yes, that pt makes sense, perhaps glued together
I can't seem to get the un6-24....please.....thanks
that one is really odd, you either walk or you don't
Thanks much, flosey.
yw Peach
LOL....maybe it is like running a video backwards.
lol
4 to go here and stumped
I have 15 left.....I will clue for you, if you like.
well, have never heard su6/36 before, but guess we see it early morning??
now missing tu6, 7, 6
Dang, I'm sorry, flosey...I don't have them either.
tu6, tu + a **ore, 20 things + **e-haw says the donkey. then plural
flosey - the 6/7 sort of sounds like the tu**** rearend word
thanks rose, great clues
and Dianne
love the tu word, rose, west used to use that in graphics class
then the last tu6, tu + double consonant + r**earse, practice
ah, thanks rose, wondered why it wouldn't end with le
{{rose}} ty for te great tu clues
np's flosey and ruby
I lurked ad got 71 words, sly nel
and that's FW and I'll forget about stopping for tea, going to bed
ruby, what did the vet say about ruffie?
WTG FLOSEY!!!!
thanks rose - and thanks for the help
how are you doing Peach?
Rufie has a hot spot like last year's, only bigger. The cornstarch did nothing so he's on antibiotics and prednisone again plus (stinging) betadine on the sors. It is too bad because my son has never seen him and p until Sunday, he was the most magnificent dog anybody ever saw
the good news is that I just got John's confirmation number yay
ah, poor Rufie, hope he heals fast ruby
awww poor ruffie. he will be gorgeous again, i'm sure, ruby.
so today is cooking and cleaning my studio and maybe planting some more stuff
he was in such misery last night, that he attacked the baby girl and really scared me.
darn.....where does that extra f come from...r-u-f-i-e
he has alwys been absolutely the most gentle dog with her
poor dear, it is understandable, we, ourselves, feel like lashing out sometimes
our chosen names are very confusing: Ruffino (Rufie), Rafaella (Raffie). hE IS SO BIG THAAT HE COULD EASILY KILL HER
whoops, sorry
wwnted to sasy hello before i pith in with y day
Yesterday my husband got lost trying to fid our halall butcher where he ha been many many times, just not lately
lol, it's okay ruby.we all need to shout sometimes. *grin*
so your son is coming soon?
He came home very embarrassed and i had to go bak there with him
He's coming tomorrow morning, but just staying 'til Monday when he and DIL will tke the trin to Paris
oh, dear. maybe he will remember that the next time he opens his mouth to snarl at you.....
lovely, enjoy ruby
tke* nd train* -- having trouble with the a's
hahaha, rose, do they ever remember these things
no, en route, when I offered to drive because he was so upset, he told me what a terrible driver I was, etc. Very asty. I guess Rufie is definitely his son s far as lashing out!
not so's i notice....himself is always saying i don't listen to him, because i can't remember what he said to me 4 YEARS ago....and yet he can't remember that i said i wanted to go to the bank, 5 MINUTES after we get into the car....
today I will make humus and baba gaoush as side dishes for tomorrow's couscous\I am tryig to think of vegetarian things for DIL
ganoush*
love both of those, haven't made them in ages
have any of you ever had an eggplant explode in the oven?
they are so easy with food processors
no! but have never put one in whole!
ruby, thankfully no, dear, ihave not....mind you, an eggplant has to make it into my oven in the first place...
the first time I did it, I didn't know you had to pierce it
the only way I use eggplant is in Moussaka, and it's sliced and baked first before putting all together
it's like when my mother was a Young bride and had a pressure cooker of spinach explode and distribute spinach throughout her kitchen
I make both humus and baba without tahini which has a taste I don't like It may be less authentic, but it tstes better, at least to me
I remember when the pressure cookers first came out, after WW2, Mom never had it happen but heard a few friends did
hey, whatever works ruby, no recipe is written in stone
I inherited an old one from y grand mother, but never used it except as a pot
My pressure cooker came with a notice to NEVER cook split peas in it - I forgot, and had split peas all over the kitchen!
Never thought of spinach.
I figure, "I'm the cook and it's y kitchen" Selfish nel!
what an image, helens!
wow Helen, bet it never happens a second time
and imagine how dangerous that coud be
I was a yellow kitchen, too - what a sight.
well, I'm off to the coal mines
71 words and that's probably it for the day
71 words and that's probably it for the day
{{big hug, deawr Babble friends)
IT was a fairly modern pressure cooker - circa 1960 - and had a rubber plug that popped, so it can't really be said to have "exploded" - but it sure sounded like it.
frightening indeed
but get to bed, goodnight all be back at flip tomorrow
butg **must** get to bed
bye ruby, and flosey? hope you sleep well, hun
89 words - many thanks for all those clues! - back to morrow. Good luck and good night, all.
night helen, hope you have a good one, hun
*woof*

I agree with you piglet.....
May I please have a clue for su6-36? Thanks
Well, puglet, I'm sorry I mispelled your name.....I'm in groggy land now and should be in bed already. LOL

And it's only 8:30am for me. What shall I do with the rest of my day?!
do yoou feel like planting geraniums? If yes, do I have a job for yu!
We are having gorgeous weather today in the NW so I think I will head outside soon and enjoy it!
here, too, it's beautiful
but they say the weekend will be poop again
I would love to come help with geraniums. Perhaps I will plant some in my garden with you in mind.
It's one of my "cheats" I put them in the ground where there are holes in the perennial borders
can't do windowboxes any more because there isn't enough sun
the little trees we planted 15 yrs ago are huge now
uh oh, dinner calls
Nice. But I have so many holes right now. I have not been very attentive to my yard these past few years. Just the basics. Think I will get back into the beautification process this year. It needs it!
Enjoy dinner. Think I'll go have breakfast.
poof

Good morning, everyone !!
mornin'. lunch time here.

unless...isn't Aus like a day different?
hi diane...5pm here lol
You're right... it's 2:09 a.m. april 25 in Sydney !
so just safer to say g'day ;-)

hi crossy
howdy my friends:)
:-)
pe8 pe + alt spelling for 2000lb + half a repetitive fly word
ty, mrloser :)
wow.... what a word. Although just getting started here, I took it !... Thanks
oh neat! It's a name for a class of feldspar rock from Mandarin. :) bai2 dun1 zi0 in pinyin
ty mrloser..that is indeed a odd word and the first sighting of it by me in babble
thanks for the neat bit of learning today, mrloser :)
also the first i've seen it in a grid.
and good afternoon yall :)
and amazingly, I've forgotten it already ;-)
hi seain
hello, hello, diane! and crossy, and mrlose, et al!
(i've had coffee today -- it shows)
if that word sticks in your mind for the next time it is possible in a grid, diane, your grey matter is superlative
howdy seain
YW
bbl -- the little one wants attention -- he'l almost 3mos -- i'm nannying again :)
clue for lone i please
crossy, a magazine is this.
ty ww
yw!
hello

i need the stats for the 2nd column p please/
eva?

ty marilyn

sp 4/6
{{crossy}}
ty cross
hello seain!!!
hello MLFAN
i?
there are a pair of sp 4/6
((ruby))
is the ps4 with two vowels?
I just finished the last of my planting. What job, even with someone to help
ps4 ... (i found the lower p)
the other sounds like a slang word for vomiting
ps4 no vowels
lol@ planting.we had flurries this morn
And my son is sort of on the way; he and his wife are on standby at Dulles on United
got the ps ty
I can see Dulles from where i am. :)
hi, ruby
yw, mlf
everyone tells me it's too early, but I wanted the garden to look beautiful for my boy. It doesn't, quite, but it's better than a week ago
and planes are taking off over the house today, and takeoffs are much louder than landings here.
anybody have stats for the i?
they stayed at a Marriott last night, probably near to you, too
is5.12
that would be the Dulles Airport Marriott i'm guessing. I think that's the only one in this vicinity.
duhh ty seain
nbt and nbs
if they don't get on the plane, I'll have enough food in the house to feed an army!
the straight-line ones are often the least obvious, at least when they don't jump out at you.
that's not so useful -- not many armies sweeping across Europe these days :)
i heard on the news this AM controllers jobs are being cut so its delaying flights everywhere
i have a deaf friend who has a place in a subdivison that was built before the airport expansion.he had a friend who could hear do the initial look through and early offers and he got the place for a song.does not bother him in the slightest though they are supposed to use noise abatement procedures and throttle back a bit on takeoff over the places, but if i were a pilot i would not be chopping back a 1/3 of my power either
i have actually greyed 7
indeed so, mlf re air traffic controllers. Idiocy these measures.
i've lived most of my life on the flight paths of Washington National and/or Dulles.
too high a burn out rate for controllers as it is for them to be chopping back on them:(
i ahve heard of dulles.it is famous even here.or infamous rather
23 words left but as they're just a little of this and a little of that, I'm going to call it a night
22
yaa for ruby!! you can do it!
it's funny just when I look away I see words.....
Dulles (IAD/KIAD) is a decent airport. And in 5 or 6 years Washington Metro will have a station there, as phase two of the Silver Line has been funded and bid out.
21
cool
our peripheral vision is rather amazing like that.
our Toront airport or pearson or whatever you call it is generally a disaster
20 hahah
toronto
many choose porter airlines off the island now
I've heard that Pearson is better than Denver, but that's not hard to do. And may you never have to change planes at Atlanta-Hartsfield.
or save and go as a group in a private 12 seater executive jet from the local regional airport.now that is flying in style.no lineup nothing just show up make sure you have all your paperwork and breeze right onto the plane
That is a lovely way to travel indeed, crossy.
add 3-400 each for the cost of the trip, but ohhh so worth it
oh boy, crossy, that sounds wonderful!
19
lots of leg room, comfy seats and one steward/stewardess waiting on your every need
the last time I flew, it was from London City to Geneva on an Embraer [?] jet and it was almost like that. Very small and comfortable
always go with the smaller carriers.i find the big one air canada esp, treat you like cattle unless you are going first class
business clas it not too bad though
yes, the smaller the carrier usually the nicer the experience. I loved America West and Alaskan Air while they lasted.
I loved PanAm when I used my biz travel miles to upgrade to first. Those were the days
Yes they were. PanAm and the old Northwest Orient were both quite nice.
i ma says the old BOAC did a good job as well
my da*
I used to fly to Minneapolis from NY once a month and loved Northwest with their Flying Colors
i used to take NW from DC to Cleveland several times a year.
boac was what we flew on when we came to canada, but they are long gone now
I don't like flying any more
flying is fine,it is just the landing that sometimes hurts;)
but like they say,any landing you can walk away from is a good one
my all-time best flying experience was on South African Airways from London to Johannesburg during a meteor shower and the pilot let me sit on the floor in the cockpit to Watch the display. Naturally, it was long before 9/11
wow! that must of been amazing, ruby
yes,now we are lucky they do not strap us down on top of the plane with bungee cords;/
Wow ruby, hope your book includes pictures :)
what I never knew before that was that meteors are orange, green and violet, not the white we see from the ground and there were thousands
do I have to name names, too, Chrissie?
Did you used to live in the UK ruby?
we had a large meteor shower here in fall of 1993,just before our sun was born, ruby and we were lucky enough to see all those colours as well
son
only for one 5 month period
No, no names necessary, but heavy hints should be included
no kidding, crossy, I didn't know that. You must have wonderful clear skies
do i have to tell what instruments they played or books they wrote?
17!
we get lucky sometimes.we missed the one the other night due to cloud cover
Lovely memory crossy
there is way too much ambient light here to ever see anything much except jet trails from Geneva airport
inded chrissie, was a warm night and we walked down to the beach,my beloved was about 4-5 month along and we found a good spot overlooking the water and a clear sightline and there was a large overturned row boat on the shore.i laid out our blanket and we lay down on our back and looking up at the night sky while holding hands we watched the show for hours
that is the secret ruby,in the boonies where we were there was no ambient light at all
laid on top of the boat that is,so my beloved did not get sand in her hair
what a lovely memory crossy
lol,my memory is like a seive, but what stick are the good things
that is why i play this game,to keep what is left of my grey matter running:)
Crossy, you've made my hair stand on end and my eyes fill up, that's so beautiful
I give up but thanks for that story, crossy.
aww,tyvm chrissie
me, too, Chrissie!
had the beach all to ourselves.was very special time
that was when she still had all her vision as well and her eye disease had yet to show it's ugly head
Just popped in for a few minutes, leaving again now, tc ruby and crossy
tc chrissie
mi 6/24= not mr
which ought end in -tress as i was taught. The spelling here is dialectal and not appropriate as i was taught, unless writing in dialect. Yay for Southern educations.
"lol,we will not even get into the deep south word varriants
like" ustacould" as in "i an no longer play the pianna, but i ustacould";))
but then again we say EH a lot, though not quite as much as many are led to think
too many american were scarred by second city tv back in the day and we never recovered eh?
as least we not longer get too many southern plates up here in july asking where the ski hill is with a rack of skis on top of the ole vw microbus
and no longer do we get them coming in and asking where the pump is that dispenses fuel in gallons..after 30 years in the fuel business i could fill a book with stuff just like that
mm,should stop talking to myself..oh heck with it,at least i will never be lonely
i will call the book"tales from the dark side of the gas pump" or "gas jockeys, their nozzles and how they use them"
stats for lone p in second column??
PS 4/5
oh. lol- blind per usual- ty wvteach
<-----Likes crossy's book titles.

I think we've spoken once before :-) My paternal grandfather was from Yorkshire,... my Grandma from Durham and my maternal great grandparents were born in Licolnshire !!
oh yes I think we did.
Yorkshire and Lincolnshire are dear to my heart.
I've just done the vacuuming and set up the bread dough... taking a few moments to relax !
just like the dough!!!
Grandad was born near Halifax and grew up in the village of Luddenden.... Grandma was from Bishopton
I have heard of those places but am not familiar with them.
my Bryan great grandparents were born in Wigford and Gratham , Lincolnshire :-)
Grantham ... where Margaret Thatcher came from.
do you need any clues?
I'm goiong to be in the Cotswolds in late-May, early-June
suet

the Cotswolds are lovely ... have you been before bichon?
Never, but it's something I've always wanted to do.
sorry diane,I didnt notice your spelling mistake.
...and I've never been to England and probably never will now :-(
why diane?
I have never been to Canada either and ditto :-(
very bad knees.... getting "old" LOL ... but who knows ?? Hubby has no desire to travel there, but maybe one of my globe-trotting granddaughters will go with me one day, IF I get myself feeling better !!
I'm 66 and will be walking up and down the hills.
hurrah for bichon !! Walk a hill or two for me, will you ?? :-)
mo, does the UK use the same power as the Continent, or do you use the power like in NOrth America
I hope you enjoy your visit bichon.
I'm almost 73 and probably could have done it 7 or so years ago.
I am going to enjoy my visit very much thank you
At 73 I doubt I would do this kind of trip.
what power do you mean bichon?
My kids have all taken adapters when they went to France and England, etc. ....gotta have those curling irons !!!
Electrical power

fw here. Anyone want clues?

I will be off now and hope you all have a happy and successful rest of day .... goodnight all .....
good night then, mo.... hope to see you again soon :-)
I have 4 words left and then I'll be on my way as well.
yes I hope so.
I could stay and help if you need it diane.
thanks mo.... just doing the last three tu words... this was a little bit of a tricky grid.... very few vowels !
hello everyone :)
hiya , nan
hi nan ... diane the tu words are new to me.
pe 8, please?
and done ! I suppose two of them are alternate spelling of your "bottom", not sure about the last one LOL
nothing to do with our "bottom" I think it is more American.
I was totally wrong.... lol they are defined as: a substance used in lithography for drawing the design ...who knew ?
Now we do !! .... bye for now
yes I just looked it up too.
:-))
bye diane.
pe8 ...pe + a song has a ***e + a repeat biting fly.

A putsch is a coup. I think coup sounds more covert. Putsch sounds, well, putzy.
