It was warm and lovely during the middle of the day - very cold this morning and chilling down now!!! Very full answer!
Typical winter weather for here but probably colder than is usual.
Our weather has been so weird. I suppose you've heard of the deadly tornadoes that ripped through the middle of the country.....so many killed and injured......looks like a war zone. We've been lucky here in Georgia. We are only 100 miles from the Atlintic, so if we get really bad weather on the coast, we do feel the effects.

Yes I saw about the tornadoes and the devastation but also a lovely piece about a woman survivor, who thought she'd lost everything but then her dog heard her voice, while she was being interviewed. A lovely reunion.

yes, puglet, i am resting. have had the leg elevated for most of the day. main problem is that the shock has set my fibromyalgia off. i am having episodes of shaking, and episodes of not breathing. pretty scary when you realise that your lungs aren't working, and you have to think...take a breath in.

i dont know. we werent able to stop, but we called 911 to report it.
eva, doubtful you'd get any information on a random phone call to the police, but if you wanted to offer yourself up as a witness, i'm sure the police would be happy to have you (assuming you didn't give all your witness info to the 911 dispatcher)

the police report is public record, but you might have to make an official freedom of information request, depending on how bureaucratic the department is. I know they're public record because almost the day after our recent car accident we started getting mail and phone calls from ambulance chasers wanting to "help" us

hey saanich -- pretty depressed today. I am so overwhelmed by the clutter in the living room here that I got partway through sorting, then shifted to another overwhelming task, then shifted to going throught videos I have taken while walking through the house, trying to find the one where I enumerate the items that were on the sofa (which were missed by the people who were tasked with doing a complete inventory of the house -- they missed a LOT).
other than that, though -- not bad. I had to turn down some work this week to be available for other things, and the one day I had lined up (today) got canceled. LOL which is okay because I have so many other things that need doing.
how are you, though? is it raining up your way, too? Pretty gloomy and chilly here.

I think if we buy IKEA for the bulk of bathroom and bedroom fixtures we can afford the higher-end materials for the floors and windows. I am really trying to focus on infrastructure, knowing that even if I "only" substitute for another year I will make enough each month to buy at least one furniture or other small item to finish off furnishing the house.

Repalnating the new deck with an arbor with 4 years of unfiled tax returns for which I got a huge accumulated refund, life is better than this time last year when faced with the disaster

mold is nasty -- the things we didn't get out of our house quickly enough got mildew all through them. There are only a few more things that I think we can try to recover, and I will do that with Tom this weekend.
