Growing up in NY, we accommodated all groups, gave Catholic children Wed afternoon off for religious instruction and it didn't coint against you if you stayed home on good Friday (still a fast day back then) or on Jewish holidays

It's a simple blood test and if it's not functioning well, you can take synthetic thyroid hormones that will boost your levels back up to where they belong. This is one of the most overlooked things in middle aged women as doctors often do not routinely check for it. Public Service Announcement over, carry on. : D

i use paint. paint has a dotted box but i don't know how to use it, i click it and it does nothing
in paint you have a number of tools on the left side, click on the dotted line square at the top, then outline the area you want in icon. experiment until you feel comfortable using it.
i will try again, when i tried to use it nothing happened
once tolls selected, click and hold click button at one corner of the square of image you want to cut, drag to opposite corner and let go of button. a dotted line guide appears as you do this.

I lived there for a while, many years ago. I lived in Squirrel Hill, and Wilkensburg mostly, but I lived on Mount Washington for a while as well.

mt washington is nice, got there acouple of times for a second job, repairing house hold appliances, I'm near squirrel hill ... most times they have the tunnel closed for repairs ... did you go to school here

south side has really turned around, rents are up to 1000 for a real nice 1 bedroom ... 1100 for crummy 2 bdrms

I liked Pittsburgh. The people were friendly and it didn't seem like a big city.

Maybe it is because the geography breaks everything up so much. Besides, how can you not like a city where you can stand in the middle of downtown and see wooded hills down the street.
I have never been in Pittsburgh.
there are a lot of people who commute here for work, the cop that pulled me over twice in six months said alot of people are making the trip west for work, i'm here doing IT in manufacturing
those wooded hills aren't that interesting when there is ice on the roads ...
The economy is so bad. There just aren't jobs.
PGH is attracting alot of movie production firms ...

i got here after thanksgiving and looking at the slopes, decided to get something in the flats ...
When I lived on Mt Washington, you took one step up to enter our front door and walked through the house and the back porch was a story above the ground.
we live about an hour south of Pittsburgh and my son who is ion IT is always getting calls from groups in Southpoint (just outside PT)
and traffic isn't that bad, this place isn't big enough to have bad traffic ... the other saying is ... we're a drinking town with a sports problem
this town is thriving .... just wish there was more work east though, it is tough living away from home ... ... been here almost 3 yrs ..
When I was there the Steelers were winning the Super Bowl regularly, Tony Dorsett and Dan Marino played for Pitt, and the Pirates were respectable.
I did not realize what the area looked like till I got up to mt washington ... you can see for miles and miles

That is hard, weiik. My son-in-law graduated with a Masters in Computer Science from Villanova and couldn't find a job in Philadelphia. He moved back to Boston and had two job offers in one week.

this is only 4 hrs from home, when my car is running, and since the trip is 340 mi one way, i've already worn out 1 car, and the other is up for needed repairs, so I'm on the bus
Mt Washington is the mountain the tunnel goes under when you drive into Pittsburgh from the airport.

Weiik, according to Wikipedia, it is a statue of George Washington and Seneca leader Guyasuta. And it was only built in 2006, so it wasn't there when I lived on Mt Washington in the 70's.

I lived just a few blocks from Grandview. I used to walk along there all the time. I liked it at night, you could feel the city humming below you. Of course the steel mills were still running so a good part of the hum was the coal trains running to the mills.
