Hi Jes. I saw some of your story about the kid's girlfriend. You and Sue need to have a conversation about girlfriends from hell.
Well, she's hopefully out of his life, he says he's done with her, anyway. And we've found him a counselor that he says he likes and thinks it's productive to talk to, so there's that.
And also hopefully, he'll be more picky in his future relationships instead of just going along with all the crazy of whatever girl says he's cute.
All good things. Glad to hear it.
me too... twit was driving me nuts. She's completely off the edge. has 19 facebooks of which I am aware, and the last one she started 'for people can't find' her, but she's so inept that she friends her old facebooks from her new ones, so posts from the new on show up on the wall of the old one, making her immediately findable.
Reasonably certain that the 'people' she doesn't want finding her are my MIL and me, since she switched within hours of getting chewed out by MIL about the shit she was posting on facebook... hah.
I can't even fathom 19 Facebook pages. That right there is an indicator of what a psycho she is.
indeed.
She has to have a lot of email addresses to have that many FB pages. I think you can only have two pages attached to each email address.
wouldn't surprise me. She switched phone numbers every couple weeks too.
It bothers me to think that someone that young is that messed up.
and it's not like it's difficult to get free email addresses - just keep adding numbers to the name on hotmail, right? not like she's ever going to check them...
Oh yeah, you can have as many free email addresses as you can think of names and passwords for. One of the things that makes the internet a playground for weirdos.
she comes from a long line of FUBAR, Molly. Been training in it since infancy. couldn't possibly hurt her chances of successful life by getting her out, but I sure as hell don't want to foster her.
Sad. Kids with that kind of family history usually end up repeating it.
Yeah. She told me once how she has a bunch of relatives that have had kids at 15 and 16, and one that had 3 kids by age 17 and THEY"RE ALL FINE like this was proof that she has a good family life.
I don't even try to sort out how much of that is truth and how much lies in a failed attempt to impress me, because I think it's physically painful for her to speak truly, but ...
se7 after sperm?
And these demento girls always seem to gravitate towards the nice boys, like your step-son and Sue's boy.
se4 before it and Italian goodbye without the A
ironic, kje...;o)
well sure - he's too nice to be prepared for her shit. easy to push around and therefore a better mark to string along.
he hasn't learned the art of calling bullshit on crazy people.
Hi all..

Oh well, he got a crash course young, didn't he?
TY!
yeah, hopefully it sticks.
Not getting "ironic". Was that a clue?
no...just all that talk about procreating...
heh. my cousin has some ironic procreation going on - apparently the fetus and the IUD are cohabiting her uterus quite happily...
One of the reasons I never went the IUD route. Those stories creeped me out.

anyone watching pbs? I am enjoying the series the appalachians and the music.
pbs stations run things at different times....it's not on here...
having just attened the foll festival, i am still in the americana mode
Oh, I bet that is good, TO. Unfortunately, I am too cheap to invest in cable.....so, I get just a few channel
Ooooz??

sorry, make that ooooh
I'll see if I can get PBS.
you can watch most of the tv programs on the computer the day after they air at the airing station's website peach
TO, do you mean "Appalachia: A History of Mountains and People"?
Thank for bring me up to date, joso. I really don't know all I need to know about the computer age.
That doesn't air here until next week.
I am unable to watch Downton Abbey free anymore so I guess I'll either get cable or buy the DVD's this fall.
Peach, Downton Abbey web stream is available the week after it airs. Do a search on the call letters of your PBS station (ours is WETA)
peach...if you go to your local pbs station's website, they might have "video on demand"...mine does...you can watch episodes that way after they air
Thanks guys, I will do that.
you do need to keep up with these programs, as they normally are withdrawn after a fortnight or month, not available forever.
Peach, you can also purchase episodes of Downton at Amazon Instant Video for $1.99 each. Or you can buy the whole season if you want.
I"ve found the PBS station here, its call letters are WCES. I will look later tonight....thanks for all the info.

Dang! I'm going to have to use Lickety before I hit half way tonight (I really want to finish this grid tonight too
you might want to do that if you want to finish...
I'd like to do that tonight; I want to feel like I've accomplished something tonight (besides laundry and housework and meals I mean)
i hear ya...
Sounds like you've already done allot, all I've done is the grid.
ahh, joso, but the difference is that "women's" work is never done; therefore feels like it doesn't count sometimes.
feels like it counts to me when I do it.
it's really funny how it all shows up and has to be done the next day though. I guess that's why it doesn't always count.
yea, maintenance jobs, I hate them. I'd much rather do a major project that has some finnish point than something that's just going to come back tomorrow, or next week.
EXACTLY! :-) Maybe that's why I love Babble so much: THIS grid won't show up again! :-D
lol...
why do you like it joss and pen?
(sorry, for some reason spellcheck doesn't like your name and I can't get it to accept it yet., joso
i am also fond of the feeling of closure, completion
yep.
i also like working at my own pace
that's true too; but I like the people in chat too
i am not big on chat
i like to clue
Though I have a theory about gender and cleaning. I will clean a room and clean, do an honest job, put things back where they belong, dust, vacuum etc. then a woman will enter after me (often saying something like 'if you aren't going to do a proper job why do it at all' [a mistake]) putter about for an hour or 2 and when i reenter it is cleaner. I can't point to what was done that I missed, but I can perceive the difference on some level. It's very frustrating.
heh heh...
I like this word puzzle because spelling is not so important, and I can't spell worth a damm, I like that it has a comletion point, I enjoy thinking up clever clues, and I like the babble culture.
joso, I just wish that my DH would even try to clean; especially clean up after himself. However; he gets so tired doing things (he has MS) that I always tell him I'll do it. Somehow, I think I forgot to get him to clean up as he goes along, because he sure can make a huge mess without trying.
dh? dear heart, damm husband
LOL! Usually dear hubby; sometimes darn husband. :-)
I love him a ton; but sometimes....
dorkus humongus

yea, from the chat and that the site is something like 80% female I get the impression wives and long term girlfriends apply a lot of tolerance to living with boys.
Kind of like the word I just now found: ar4/4
80 % female? Really? I'd never have guessed that. I wonder though; is it just that the women chat more; or have you checked the rankings and came up with that number?
hi all. i cant get to half way.....................darn. and i dont do list til then. i have all the 8s so would love some 7s clued. i have no o words for top line and third line o but i have all three of the 2nd line o's.
