pugs,knee throbbed all night. couldn't sleep properly. and i was burning up. usual reaction of my body to pain.
yeah, very tired, pug. Even told my children I wouldn't get up with them today and I slept in till 8.30 am.
oh sprite, that's a bummer. My sis-in-law got diagnosed a couple of years ago with diabetes and had a very hard time finding the balance. I hope you'll have better luck.

pugs, because of fibromyalgia, my body-temperature control system is out of kilter. when i have acute pain, my body burns, temperature goes up, and skin is very hot to touch. then the painkillers kick in, and i usually go back to sleep.

I don't know, pug. I would say the meds. Can't really imagine the sugar influencing me so much all of a sudden, since I haven't had symptoms before.

um, sprite. i know your BSL was high, but now you are saying how tired you feel. that is a symptom of LOW blood sugar. i think an early check would not go astray.

was reading up on symptoms yesterday and it said being sleepy and tired are symptoms of a high, not a low... am I wrong?

I dont know what your usual number is Sprite--it veries for each person
sprite, mix a teaspoon of sugar into a glass of fruit juice. if you feel better after drinking it, you blood sugar is too low. if there is no change, or you feel more tired, your blood sugar is still high.

I gave in to the sleepiness yesterday, slept like a dead marmot, then was very thirsty so thought sugar might be high and I did some exercise. That kind of helped.

I am worried! I dont think your doctor is montoring you very well or giving you the knowledge you need
of coarse you still need sleep, so sleepy can mean you need.... sleep
if you go too low you can go into a diabetic coma or too high can lead into a stroke
it is still early days, pug. I never had symptoms before. And I think the doctor doesn't want to bombard me with stuff. I have flyers now, that inform me of most facts, a food guide, and meds. Will go back to doctor tomorrow.

hes on my couch, so no room to address. I actually could stand him staying a bit longer. Valentine is furious that I have had this guy staying for so long as it is. (its an old high school friend that came into town - NO sexual history, and valentine isn't usually jealous, but he has had it, apparently. And thus a HOST of other issues come into play).

Could you have a not-so-subtle telephone conversation which he overhears in which you tell how you need for him to go but don't know how to move him on?
That way, if he's a real friend, he'll understand that he's causing you problems and will want to move on.
thats the rub - valentine is NOT okay with the situation, and said basically, "if friend is staying at your house for the weekend while we are away I will be so uncomfortable that we just wont go."
I'm all for the direct approach, as awful as it would be, just explain that it has been lovely having him stay but it is time to go. At least it will be all out in the open.

I had a very frank talk with friend after the fracas with valentine. he was sympathetic, but I am not sure he fully understands that he needs to shift it. now.
Then tell him.
that is not a good sign then, Trif. It makes clear he values his reasons to stay more than your reasons for wanting him to move on.
I'm off to do some work, however Trif when you make the decision if you do decide he has to go (and personally I think he needs to) just front up and tell him it's time to leave.

just because my kid goes to one, there is this: at art schools they often have a free supplies area. At primo's school it is called the "re-store." All leftover supplies that people have to share go in, and no cost to take stuff out to use in projects

Before these two [who are close to 4], we had two. The first one died of cancer when he was 12 and the other lived til he was 16 and 1/2. They're generally a pretty healthy breed with long lives.
