It will be interesting to see if this new management is successful. Tonight the food was good and reasonable - hubby had a huge grilled porkchop with a corn relish. Friends had a shrimp, scallop risotto.
Nice salads with homemade dressings; fabulous warm yeast rolls... different potatoes offered... limited menu, but some nice selections.
I love corn relish
sounds great dee
I make an awesome corn relish
I have never tried it before. ALL of your food sounds awesome, ru. You are really talented in the kitchen.
<-had people sucking the plate

Jason gets tickets often thru work.

it is so freaking expensive to go to a football game out here
ty, but no... I'll search for a bit, then list. Rest well. Tickets everywhere are crazy high.
I just can't justify it .. I can watch the game from home
Totally agree.
Can't seem to load Lickety's list in Expert. Anyone else having a problem with it?
It opened in chrome for me. You might try refreshing (F5)
Even did a restart & no luck. Rats!
i'll bet you that the Colts are deep in the play-offs dee
That will be interesting.
I think they might even be in the AFL title game
they are loaded with young talent
I am ignorant about football. Couldn't even name the players. I'll have to pay more attention :)

could you ship it in advance?
I can't ship wine to Canada.. I tried with Lindrickway once.. it was refused at the border
Interesting and surprising.
<---terrorist pinot shipper
ok, but could we perhaps order through LCB
<---Osama Bin Bottles
<--Osama Zin Bottles?
I worked for LCB in Victoria the year hubby took his degree and that was the way it was done then
mind you, that was 52 years ago
wow
lol
i'll be 59 next month
What is LCB?
yikes
you were a mere child then
liquor control board
I was cooking then flosey
aww, ty..
lol, I could believe it
I started cooking at 5 with my grandma
I use to try but wasn't allowed
my parents would leave for the weekend and I'd cook for my brother and me
great memories I bet, ru.
oh my grandmother was the greatest
I remember one night (when we should have been in bed) Dad was looking after us, Mom had been to church, I was on a chair up to the stove making fudge
Well, I am off til the flip. Rest well! ((ru)) ((flosey)) *poof*
lol, mom exploded when she came home
night dee congrats again
sleep well
goodnight Dee, sweet sleep
ty!
I did that too flosey cooking on a step ladder
wow
did your grandmother get you started
I was short
then
yes.. I liked being with her and she was a fabulous cook.. she took me under her wing and taught me how to make lots of things.. and we did canning together etc
what a wonderful experience for you
it was.. I miss her dearly
my grandparents both preserved a lot, mom tried but wasn't really into it
deeply
I bet you do
my grandma used to can everything from the garden
a lost art
really
almost
i'm looking forward to coming up to God's country this next spring
once i'm settled
lots of islanders here still preserve - and enter their goods in the Fall Fair
this Sat. and Sun. is our Fall Fair - hubby very involved
ah. fairs can be fun
it'
it's strictly an old fashioned FF - no rides and stuff like that
I love homemade stuff.. it's the best
you bet
my neighbor made Apricot Jam (Blenheim apricots) Sp?
OMG> .this is the best jam I've ever had in my life
not familiar with varieties
but sounds good
such a pure taste really great stuff
I use to do a lot, jams jellies, chutneys
hey .. where's the party girl tonight?
it's Friday night
ah.. say no more
lol
she's a hoot that one.. I loved meeting her
she'll be in to say hi - pretty soon I'd think
quite a gal
she sure is.. smart as a whip too
I've always liked her
yes she is, she writes the bridge column and locals who don't even play bridge look forward to her column
ok.. i'm off for bed.. i have a ton of housecleaning tomorrow .. a huge honey do list
night flosey.. take care
sweet sleep then ru
I'll be at the fair, selling Ometepe coffee
night
hi all
hi joso
lively joint tonight
yes, was chatting with ru but he went to bed - Dee finished the grid and left, but haven't heard from anyone else for quite a while
I've wandered in recently, but it was already pretty quiet, so I've been reading the back chog for clues. Hi, flo and jo! :)
quick little grid, I guess a lot finished and went, how did you bridge day go
hi rbud
it was fun, just 4 of us, but lots of laughs
hi rbud
found all 3 7's from clues in the first 13 min. of back chog, nice!
ah, good for you, I missed the clues, was off doing laundry for a bit
only have 2 of the 7s
I miss live bridge, Used to play a lot of quick games at a game club I was a member of. Bridge was the default game while waiting for enough people to play something else. Was perfect, challenging but able to stop on short notice
what other games did you play?
rbud, can you clue the an7 ?
lots, roleplaying, diplomacy, war in the east, terrible swift sword, acquire, titans, 1829, in a room with over 200 games in it
wow, I'm not familiar with any of these games, they sound quite involved
an7, not for blubber
against being overweight, maybe?
ah, thanks, joso and rbud
so far I have NO 6's, haha, guess I better keep reading the back chog. :P
figured it was first 4 but didn't even try going left there
some are, others are quite quick, Empire at arms takes about 2 years of sundays. a recreation of the napoleonic wars
Acquire takes 2-3 hours
ah, so you might start a game and complete another day?
most take a long day, the roleplaying games need never end, the large scale war simulations 3-24 months if played once a week
but would it be with the same people? or would others fill in if one wasn't available?
mostly same people, if you put 3 months in a game would you want someone to sub for you. For empire at armes we have a sub system because there are 7 players, too easy for the game to stall otherwise
I just can't think of a game that would carry over like that
sounds like they'd be great for mental alertness
a couple of us have built tables that have a big lid, leave the game set up, put on the lid, and the kids and cats don't rearange the russian front.
bridge is, but one hand at a time and no carry-over
ah, that does make sense
you pick up a lot of history too. Britannia was an eye opener, covers britain from the roman invasion to 1066 the norman invasion. for over 1500 year britian was the wimp of the neighbourhood. anytime anyone wanted to pick up an extra buck they would raid or invade britain. romans, scots, irish, vikings, danes, saxons, angles, jutes, picts, and more
great way to learn history - more interesting than from textbooks
yes, sticks with me much better when I can manipulate it. and you get a better idea of the forces involved
though of course not strictly history, as you can change it
win wwII as the germans
might be a good game to introduce in elementary schools - perhaps on a smaller scale, but might help to make things seem more real
axis and allies does WWII in 4-5 hours
Disturbingly easy to win as the Germans if they delay the russian invasion by a year, including taking america
hmmm, rewriting history
or if the japanese do the pearl attack properly
hate to think of how that could have turned out
deighton wrote a book about nazi occupied england, an philp k dick did one about an america split between japan and germany.
not fun places
sounds like you do a lot of reading
oh yes, 3-5 books a week
wtg
its funny, got a great reading speed and vocabulary, can't spell worth a damn
without spellcheck I come across as a complete inormi.. ignamiou.. ignor,,, idiot
lol, my son still doesn't spell correctly but stil has a great kpb
job
always getting one hand in wrong position on keyboard
he spells phonetically
good morning all
2 finger typist here, humm phonetically, that sounds like a step up
morning sprite
*hugs joso and flosey*
hi sprite
hugs on back
hugs sprite
so how are thing sprite?
pretty ok. More peace in the house, which is a huge step up. Painful body after therapy day, but manageable. And you?
I must get to bed, have to be up early, 14 words to go, busy day tomorrow, goodnight all
all ok here, glad you home has calmed
night flosey, enjoy your day tomorrow and sleep well.
thanks sprite
g'nite flosey, fun chatting with you, as always

hello babblers

hiya joso
welcome to pro dom and icons :)
aww thanks!

good job, both of you, grin
but the pic is her own choice
rue but hard to see it is a papwprint
godd eve/morn you lovely people. are you ready for the next episode in " the days of our drearies " aka grannyrose's woes.
it is enough to make people curious and they will click it and it will be visible in enlarged size.
hey rose *hugs* Yes of course, let's have it.
hiya grannyrose
had to have DH admitted to hospital this AM. turns out he has pneumonia.
oo I see sprite
hey rose, sure, let it rip
so it wasn't man flu...the poor love was genuinely ill.
omg rose... oh shit. How is he now?
and just as important, how are YOU?
what did the hospital have to say
there's a twist to this tale. now i am coughing and spluttering the same as he was 2 days ago.
that is not good. Please have yourself checked out right away, hun.
sprite, he is now a very nice shade of pink, in stead of whitewith a touch of blue. tonight he was able to speak in sentences.
that's scary gran geez
how old is he?
that is progress at least. Am so so sorry, rose. Just what the both of you don't need.
yeah, well, he does cry wolf a fair bit...i have to wait before i act, have been left with egg on my face too many times.
he's only 57, joso. what scared me the most was the central chest pain...was thinking pulmonary embolism...
good, my dad died of pneumonia, but was 87
he hasn't eaten anything for 36-48 hours, and only drunk an absolute minimum of fluid.
absolutely ready for hospital indeed. But how about yourself, rose? Will you please get yourself checked in time?
the doctor was impressed as i acted fast enough before it became really serious. but one night sleeping with my head between 2 pillows is enough....
and what happens to mom in law if you have to go into hosp
sprite, i promise, the minute i start wheezing, i will be on the phone for an ambulance. not ever going to take that risk again.
already there, joso. have packed her off to her daughters for a few days.
then I breathe a little easier again.
was just typing 'where is Mother Mac' when joso beat me to it, grin. Good. Are you managing all alone?
wish i could say the same....only joking, only joking. *warding off angry sprite*
awww, they must be thrilled to have mom visit
never angry at you, rose! Just worried.
yes, dearest, i will be okay. no shopping needed for at least 3 days.
weren't we just 3 days ago joking that you would bring Mother Mac to their house because of their feeding her sugar?
very good. But very sorry you have to manage this as well, rose. You had more than enough on your plate as it was.
*giggle* joso...got to hand it to SIL, she didn't bat an eyelid, just packed mother's suitcase and carted her off. probably was feeling guilty as she had turned her cell phone off, and didn't answer her land line phone, when i was frantically trying to reach her this AM.
good for her. Guess she knew I would have kicked her from here to Jericho and back if she had given you trouble.
*grin* yeah, now she can handle the results of putting sugar in fr5 of her mother.
poetic justice
FRIDAY THE 13 TH! thats why all the bad news!
so there we have it friends, it's just me and the psychotic canary for a few days. peaceful to say the least.
so, DH will be ok, You will be ok, mommac taken care of.
hiya pug, *hugs*. I was married on a friday 13 and I consider it a lucky day.
g'day pugs. knew you were hanging out for the next episode...
hi pug
hi there pug
Oh and good morning friends! Sorry about the delaying of wishing you a Happy Ann. Sprite
nice snapshot of my life, joso.
with our rose we are never bored. But I wouldn't mind being bored for a little bit about you, rose ;)
hiya pug, thank you :)
lolol, sprite.
yeah I am guilty of lurking--running from the computer to the bathroom, I didnt want to leave in mid talking
now i can stand up for poor sick husbands without guilt
Hi Joso,Sprite,Rose and Pink
lurking is perfectly ok. Just happy you are popping in though.
manflu, harrrrumph, lol
pfft, joso, don't push it sunshine....
lol joso... we won't generalise. Much. Some men are just like women when they get ill and they bear it like a... woman. But some can be pathetic about minor illnesses.
sidenote: latin for happiness is not a valid word?
Rose -I do think you should rent a room at the hospital--Seems your whole household is there more than at home there-lol
lol pug!
np rose, glad it is all looking good for the future. Did all this kerfuffle stress your leg rose
lolol, pugs....nah, we just collect the frequent flyer points.
at least you should qualify for the loyal customer bonus
joso, it did a bit...pain in leg caused fibromyalgia to flare up, have had muscle spasms in back for most of the day.
darn. Poor rose. All this physical and emotional stress. Small wonder it makes your system go haywire. *sending calming vibes to rose's muscles*
but i am sitting here quietly, analgesia on board. so all is good.
sorry for that, any risk surgery will be delayed
an 6/18 - clue please
thanx sprite
hi gran, against + not your leg but your **m.
joso, only if i come down with this pneumonia. opposite to popular belief, i really am as fit as a malley bull.
How did I not see that
babble blindness, gran. Happens to us all ;)
rose, any chance your husband caught pneumonia from Mother Mac? (Worried about the resistant string of bacteria)
it's strange, i seem to fight off most infections, either bacterial or viral. sprite, i think he caught it sitting around for 3 1/2 hours in the emergency waiting room.
a good resistance against bugs, yayyy rose! And poor man. Ok, please keep us up to date about you all?
and if we were to become infected with that particular bug, it shaould have happened years ago. she has been with us for nearly 9 1/2 years.
well you know what they say, rose. No time like the present :P
yeah, yeah.
probably built up a hell of a resistance working hospitals for years
no doubt, joso. Worst place to be, hospitals.
morning all
morning Buttonman
hi buttonman
hi button
morning sprite, pink, joso, and granny
Hi buttonman--nice to meet you
morning puglet, we have met but it has been a while
25 yet to go here and stuck as usual
Could someone clue me the 7 please

af7: insult, deplorable act an7: pro diet fr7: not the part behind you
I got problems here,so sorry Iam not talking much(you guys get a break this morning) lol
sorry, I just woke up and it is 3 in the morning
argh, that is not morning, silly, that is night.
3 7's, af7, af + full *****al nudity, an7, against blubber, fr7, full ******* nudity

aww pug are ou in brown county/
lol joso, get your mind out of the gutter, you!
please may I have a clue for 4th column n
thanks but I dont think so guys---to put it nicely I think someone fed me a bar of exlax(that kind of problem)
n + finding this word is not easy but h***
ty pug tmi lololo
awwww poor pug. No, I don't think you need us listening to that, grin.
ty sprite
very uncomfortable, pug. Drink lots of weak tea and water, hun.
yvw, pink!
thanks sprite and joso, got all three
n4, n and a bunch of vowels
good :D
n5, about very young babies
ty joso looking
thats how I lose weight! (just joking)
tyty
*gently kicks pug for that horrible joke*
big day today...Texas Aggies play Alabama
am kinda miffed. Here I sit, spotting that lovely laetitia. And it isn't a valid word. Would have been an 8!
ah... glued to the tube today, Button?
Rose, Please give Don(think I remember his name) well wishes and hope he gets better quickly and gets home soon
enjoy button I would not know one sport from another
Is that football, button
lol pink... when guys are talking football too much here, I always ask them: "Please help me out here... football... is that the game with the net in the middle or the big nets at either side?"
you bet...90.000 expected at the stadium and 30,000 tail gaters and 100 degree heat
lol
Yes Pug
do you live in texas buttonman
I like football but still have alot to learn
argh! Nothing would be worth going for me, I swear!
I will watch it on TV and stay out of the crowds
now you are talking pugs language
Iam a colt fan but I like any good game
I like when its something like the superbowl and there is aparty to go to
yep, sure is
wise decision, Button. And you will be able to see it much better as a bonus.
I like the college football over the pros
Iam wanting to see the broncos and the giant game coming up
pro sport isn't fun anymore. Too much drugs, too much money involved, not much sportivity.
ahhhh, finally...able to walk with whimpering or limping. back spasms seem to be a lot less. *sigh* dinner on...
Sprite I cant believe you and Pink would miss all those nice butts!
sprite, the game is no longer about skill, but about brawn.
*gently hugs rose* Hate to see you in such pain, hun. But glad there is some improvement.
teehheeee true they are in shape
well, in college football Alabama is rated number one and we at Texas A & M are number 6 but we beat Alabama last year so it should be a close game
Hugs, Rose--Hope you feel better soon
pug, I very much enjoyed the team from Ivoorkust. Such beautiful legs!
granny, get well
rose, very true. Such a shame.
pugs, that is the only reason i would watch a game of aussie football...all those cute butts in their itsy-bitsy shorts.
sounds exciting, Button.
Even i have heard of the yearly texas-alabama grudge match
nite all, I am going back to bed
by button
I hope you can sleep, Buttonman. We will be quiet ;)
hope you manage a decent stretch of zzzz's button
night Button--hope your team comes out ahead!
HEY SPEAK FOR YOURSELF, SPRITE. I'M GONNA LIVE IT UP....the moment i am pain free, that is. *giggle*
My day will be alot better since it started out with all my friends here! Sprite not here yesterday morn put a jinx on all our day--lol
lolol rose! God I love you.
yeah, pugs, the day/night is not the same without our sprite.
aw pug, so sorry about that! Only two more Fridays to go, hun. And if and when I go to the clinic, I will take my tablet and babble that way. Might even buy an external keyboard for that.
yes amny good eggs on this site
*pops out of shell and smiles at pink*
lol
You sure the clinic was the reason or celebrating your ann.? Thats why so tired , right? lol
btw, sprite, how often are you checking your BSL's?
hehehe I wish. Not much action on that fr5 atm. Too much worries, too much pain, no energy to spare.
once in the morning, rose, and once in the afternoon.
ok break time down to 19 and seeing nothing bbl ty all be well
bye pink, have a good one
bye Pink--have a good day
oh, okay, and are you rotating your finger-prick sites?
have a good one, pink
yeah, sometimes I take the ringfinger, sometimes the middle finger. They are tiny tiny pinpricks. Don't bother me at all.
Rose, you having dinner delievered tonight?
my brother drew two hands with the fingers spread out. each time they pricked a finger, they marked off the site, then they didn't double up for nearly 3 weeks.
nope, pugs. i froze a tortollini carbonara last week.
hm, sounds good. Thanks for the advice, rose, will do that. I know my poor grandfather had trouble in the end pricking his fingers.
sprite, accumalatively, they will start to impact.
even better, rose. Good job. Food that you only have to nuke and put in the oven, that saves you lots of trouble.
I can imagine they will, rose. I will spread them
is that like reindeer meat or caribo? and is that with bourbon too
yup, now trying to figure out if i can consume nearly 3 1/2 pounds of pasta all at once.
kangaroo legs, no doubt, pug
roflol, really you two are so funny.
you can, rose, if you put your heart into it. We will help.
yep do all you can to stay off the leg
funnel with a wide mouth
*chuckling very loudly* you or me, joso
anything to make our rose laugh ;)
to eat the pasta with
*one bite for puglet.... one bite for joso.... one bite for the crazy dutchwoman... Goooood rose!*
well I dont know your food terms --so what is tort and carbon===
i generally use a fork, joso....
tortolini is a pasta. And carbonara is a creamy saus.
tort, a type of pasta, carbonara, charged bacon
tortollini is a type of pasta(may have spelled it incorrectly, italian not my first language) carbonara, is a white sauce with mushrooms, bacon, cheese
well I guess Joso would be more likely to eat reindeer then you come to think of it
a creamy saus with bacon
well I guess Joso would be more likely to eat reindeer then you come to think of it
tortollini is a type of pasta(may have spelled it incorrectly, italian not my first language) carbonara, is a white sauce with mushrooms, bacon, cheese
that sounds good
joso is a dear, but he won't wear reins.
it is, spagetti and bacon sounds odd, but is yummy
babble is throwing a fit here
poor pug, it is not your morning, is it :( *Kicks babble into submission*
*groan* sprite, i can't believe you said that!!
I like most pasta dishes..but dont have it often since it puts my sisters sugar through the roof
lol rose, someone has to pick up the slack when ruru isn't around
yes, not a reinman
*giggle* sprite
*giggle* sprite
*giggle* sprite
:D
darn....finger twitch AGAIN!!!
hey, don't mind seeing you giggle so much
seems we are all off a bit right now-lol
pugs, is it the pasta? or the sauce which goes with it?
the pasta, Rose
I think the pasta, rose... we had pasta yesterday and man, sugar went straight up all the way.
too much starch--I did find some that is whole grain and she can eat that
starch, alcohol, and sugar molecules are very closely related
is there sugar in the pasta? have you tried home-made, with no added sugar? or is it the carbs converting to sugar?
most things with white flour is a no no
ah but not as tasty, pug. I really dislike whole grain pasta :( It is gonna be a puzzle what to eat and what not to eat and especially what to eat in stead of what not to eat (you guys keeping up?)
its not so much the sugar as it is the starches
yeah I dont like it either Sprite
now that's sad...yes, we are keeping up....
makes sense, joso and pug.
*grin* I thought you would, rose :)
well keeping up in a sort of hop, skip and jump sort of way...
digestion converts starch and booze to sugar, fermentation converts starch or sugar to booze
lol
sprite, certain potatoes has less starches then others--you got to read up on stuff like that and watch your labels
rather go with the booze as first link in the chain...
now you put it that way, it makes even more sense, joso. I can easily forget about alcohol. Sugar is tougher, especially chocolate sugar. But starch... darn. That is a toughie.
ok pug, will remember that. Am kinda hoping I will get some consultation on that as well in the clinic.
and you have to watch the fructose in fruits, and lactose in milk products.
knew a boozer diabetic, knew how much insulin to ingect per type and number of drinks
sprite, I cant find some of the things here for that bread
argh joso, that is kinda hardcore sad.
pug, you might try the internet. Some internet stores carry them all and they are often cheaper than the stores.
skinmilk---yuck
okay Sprite
didn't i see a new kind of potato which is low in starches?
they do Rose
yes, but fructose better than strait sugar, takes lunger to digest so it dribbles out into the bloodstream, instead of dropping it all in at once
I dont like milk! Never have! I cant stand the smell of it
and pugs, i have used skinny milk for years. if i have full-cream milk in a drink, it's like drinking double cream.
am getting all stressed thinking about this. Am having trouble keeping my eating disorder down a bit already... how on earth am I gonna manage a strict diet?
thats all my sister uses
mostly Sprite, think fresh! Its not as bad as it seems
one way i manage to drink milk, is to make an 'iced'coffee each morning. just dissolve instant coffee and sweetener in a little boiling water, then top up with milk.
<----Loves full fat milk & not keen on semi skimmed milk..like drinking water.
process foods are bad--too much junk in them
and most yoghurts are fat-free. just have to watch the calories with whatever has been used to sweeten them.
with your usual aplomb, sprite, suchking up guilt every time you fall off the wagon, getting back on the horse, and with a little help from your friends. it will all be ok sprite
will take it one step at a time. Tuesday intake at the clinic. Monday after, psychiatrist at clinic. After that, their ideas on how to proceed. I will take it from there. For now, I just do what I can.
now I like yoghurts
thanks joso. You really make me feel better :)
I don't drink milk at all. I like yoghurt though. Usually with some fruit in it. And special K. That is a treat for me.
you have an advantage on me sprite, you like cooking, whole new world of recipes out there for you
that is true. Will start making my own recipe book for this. Though my love does almost all the cooking here.
Sprite, everyone isnt the same--being able to check your own levels you can see what shoots up your sugar and what doesnt
true, pug. I will figure it out. I just... get scared now and then.
btw, have googled a bit for you. You might try this site: http://www.iherb.com/
You can have about anything you want but just not say like a whole pie but part of a regular serving. Or 1 cookie and not the whole bag
yeah... makes sense. But eating disorder... yeah. God I SO need help for that. Am so happy I organised that straight away.
I know you have doubts sprite, But I have no doubt this is something you can easily master once you get past the fear factor, and practice and familiarity will get you past the scariness
I think most people have some type of eating problems in todays world
thank you, joso. I will keep that in mind when I panic.
pug, did you see the link I gave you? For the stuff for the bread.
yes, I wrote it down
good :D Easy to miss stuff in our quick chat.
and Sprite this wont only benifit you but the whole family as well
hadn't thought of that yet. True. Healthier eating never hurt nobody.
I hardly ever buy any can or boxed items anymore. Its frozen or fresh
no and it will help all of you on down the road
ok how about this. I try to keep things down for now. And once I know what the clinic will offer me, I will dive in and sort out the whole mess, finding recipes, keeping stock of what triggers my sugar and what not, etc.
I grew up with about everything fried(and in lard at that) and it is hard at first to change things but start with one thing at a time
sounds good. Will do. Just am not fully ready... and too low on energy right now. The whole issue with our son is taking precedence. But will get there.
nice to have a plan,
Sounds like a winner! And there are great recipes online too
we are having a bean supper at the campgrounds tonight
here's sharing a dream with you guys... what if the clinic can really help me sort this out... I may lose weight... which may benefit my action radius... and I will be mentally stronger then... maybe I can get a life back for myself. Cooking again. Cleaning again. Maybe maybe even working again?
its in the 40's right now
in the 40s celciius? Or Fahrenheit?
You can do all that if thats your wish! fah.
fireflies
w2g!
you sure, pug? It is a lonnnng way from where I stand now.
what happen to our Rose
guess she went to get dinner. She has to move carefully still.
It can happen, once you switch over to diabetic diet much of the rest will follow naturally, and give you confidence to tackle the rest.
One thing at a time Sprite! and we are all here to cheer you on
you guys really give me strength and hope. Thanks :)
back from stuffing my face in the most agreeable way. tummy very happy, waist-line not so happy. ah well! can't please everyone/thing all the time...lol
I would so much like to unburden Rob a bit more.
everything you want to do is all right in side of YOU!
yay rose, well done :) Enjoy the feeling. And remember, once your leg is all healed, you will move more and get that waistline back in no time.
sprite, could you be bothered to keep a diary? ie what you ate, what your BSL's were, how tim et al were behaving? it might help your psychiatrist with some sort of insight.
what I really would like, now we are talking dreams, is to get a degree in Family Constellations and help people. Working on soul level, that is where my dreams go.
Yeah she can play doctor more and dance in her tutu more!
how about hunting up one recipe that looks good to you, cooking it up, once a week. you are good on the internet finding a recipe should be a snap for you
rose, so very very confrontational for me, to keep a diary of what I eat. But I see the sense of what you say. I think... I will start from day one with the clinic.
lolol, pugs, in my dreams or nightmares, depends which side of the fence i'm on...
Sprite as smart as you are you could do that right from there now!
pug, exactly!!
joso, true. Will do that for starters. I like it how you don't let me get away with postponing it, grin.
pug exactly on what you said about rose, nto about me, lol
sprite i know it's hard, hun. but once you start you might see a pattern emerging, something you will think...hang on, i can handle that..
Sprite, how many people have you helped right here? and we are just a drop in the bucket of the people with hurting---go to this sight called Daily Strength--there are hundreds reaching out
thanks, my friends. You really give me hope. And strength too. I will manage this. One step at a time.
common sense answers is whats mostly needed. But when you are right in the mist it dont seem like there is a way out
well sprite, when a babble friend gives you a recipe do you look forward to trying it, or dread it. maybe pug can pass you a recipe in exchange for your nut bread recipe
I think Rose and Joso would make good ones too
oh I would like that :) Would you happen to have a nice recipe to share, pug?
I will find you one as soon as I can
something pug likes, even though she does not HAVE to eat it
no hurry, just whenever you have time and energy to spare, pug. Please don't feel pressured into doing it, ok?
I dont feel no such thing, just want something special, just for you
waahhh! just realised himself isn't here to sleep beside me...* sob *...
am gonna *hug* all three of you. Thanks for being there. Whenever I count my blessings, you are right among them!
awww, thanx sprite, and it comes back at you, hun
aw rose, yeah, that s*cks big time. Do you have a soft blanket somewhere? Or something else soft and nice? It won't make up for missing Don, but it might help make you feel better.
ahh Rose! sending my ghost your way!
hugs back to each of you
have a grand day/night, all of you. See you soon!
Ah sprite, if i thought pug would mind i wouldn't have mentioned it. remember her recipes are likely on paper, not a cut and paste job.
hmmm, would have to be a big whatever....and i changed all the bed linen today, so nothing smells like him...
so you do miss the light and the man flu and the coughing and sneezing!
g'nite sprite
have the best ever, dearest sprite.
it's only for a bit rose, DH is returning soon
night Sprite--hugs a bunch
no, pugs, i miss the sense of him being there. i reach out, and he is there at my finger tips...and his yummy warm feet when mine are freezing.
are you able to call him or to visit him
at this hour?no. will go in as soon as possible tomorrow, though. god...i miss his hugs...
oh rose, you are so in love
you lucky sod
duh, you think, joso? i know i am one very lucky lady.
either get a couple of hotwater bottles or ask the Lord to wrap you in his arms for the night
second option sounds good, pugs. will do.
yeh, that, leave the cabana boy alone
with your soap opera life?
what do you call bad luck? lol
pugs, even with my soap opera life...because i have don beside me every step of the way...
I guess you cant have the opera with out a few hospital scenes can ya? lol
you know joso? i know you are hurting right now...but in years to come, an extremely lucky lady is going to find you, and wrap you around her little finger, with love.
lol, pugs...the hospital scenes are a must, dear.
I'm doubtful, but hope you are right
Rose. Just trying to lighten you up a bit,but you and don are in my prayers and thoughts. And Iam sad that you feel so alone. Many hugs !
joso, i never thought i would feel the depth of love as i have for this man...not after the last s0-and-so. but i did...it just took him 6 years to realise it....i have known don for over 30 years.
pugs, i feel your love and caring all around me, dear. it makes it so much easier.
Clue for DO 6/24 please?
DH told me 12 years ago he could never love/trust another woman ever again...
morning Mr. Zoom
Hello, Puglet :-)
zooz, you will feel very old when you get it...polka do* + not easy, h***
do6 rhymes with re6, slow progress, or a slow person to the rude
Joso, I too hope you dont turn bitter towards women and can find someone to share life with on down the road
zooz, you still having success with the chemicals. we are, having very peaceful nights.
Ahh many thanks..thats fireworks for me.
not bitter in general, just don't think I'm much of a catch
WTG ZOOZ!!!
congrats zooz
Rose..so have not seen any cats in the garden.but the little buggers get onto my garden shed roof..so will have to get up there some time and give that a good spraying..lol
awww joso, she has caused you so much hurt and damage. dearest man....you are one in a million....and some loving lady is going to find you.
yay, zooz. up the ladder my lad...
I feel like that about myself when I look in the mirrow. Like looking at an old gray mare. Wrinkles, teeth gone, figure gone, brown spots and the list goes on and on
cats can be very clever
Joso the beauty is in the eye of the beholder..please don't put yourself down chap..i have been on my own for a while now..but who knows maybe....just maybe.
okay, zooz, so we know the spray works...that has to be a bonus.
Rose..did i ever tel you i am scared of heights.
Yes very pleased with it, rose.
lolol, just close your eyes, dear...
do it by touch...you know how it goes...
are you talking to me Rose
do you have one of those bottles that attach to a hose to spray herbicide?
ROFLOL...pugs, if the cap fits...
It is not always about looks..yes when you are younger..but when you mature..people look for a good personality...wait maybe thats why i am on my own..lol
well whatever happens happens, won't turn away any blind ladies i stumble accross
LOL..bless you, Joso.
when I was 18 I never thought Ide see this person in the mirror looking back at me
glad you are still here looking pug
pugs, apropos to your comment....that is why i don't dally in fr5 of a mirror.
thanks Joso,,nice
But you are looking at a much wiser woman than you were then, Pugs.
*giggle* joso, just make sure their seeing-eye dogs don't bite..
well I dont either Rose but a peak now and then
Any clues needed before i bugger of?
no worries, animals like me
ahhh, zooz, must you? really like to chat with you a whiles.
maybe so Zoom, but one thats made a bunch of mistakes and its too late to fix them
thats where the wisdom comes from, the mistakes
Hate to see you go Zoom, but wishing you a great day
I can assure you, Puglet we ALL have made many mistakes and have regrets in life.you just have to do the best you can..and have people around you who care..and babble friends of course.
joso, did i ever tell you about the time DH and i were....horizontal slam dancing...and he said what's that? turned out to be our cat enjoying the ride, too, on DH's butt.
* *
hahahahaha soo funny ,rose..geez hahaha
oh of course Zoom!
oh, my...joso is speechless.
I think I might have remembered that if you had mentioned it previously
Rose, explain slam dancing--lol
giggles Joso
LOLOL...not going there, pugs
*poof*
well at least, not tonight
is there a utube vidio
never heard of slam dancing but have heard of dirty dancing
NO!!!!!
dam, never a camera when you really need one
too funny!
but i laughed so hard...it totally destroyed the mood...needless to say, cat is exiled to out of doors...
hey everyone likes a free ride once in awhile
good morning everyone:)
oohhh, pugs!!!!
at least it didnt dig its claws in
and g'day to crossie
hi crossy
Hi Crosshair, long time no see
pugs, who says it didn't...
indded.saturday and i have no homework, so today is all mine to do as i please for a change
sure it was the cats and not yours
how is school going crossy
then thanks for dropping in and I take it school is going good
it is going well.am actually having fun with it
much easier to enjoy school when you don't have to go
Iam so glad for you! Are you learning too-lol
mm,all those pretty, young teachers:)
and on that note, i'm off to bed, nite all
night Joso
good night,joso:))
after your schooling are you going into working for yourself, crossy
night, joso. sweet dreams, mate
Hi all. anyone have experiece with convection cooking? we got a new electric stove, and we're learning to cook all over again. it has a flat glass/ceramic cooking surface, no coils
well, puglet.i ran service stations for 30 year.and kind of got left behind with the rest of the obsolete equipment and was basically promoted out the door.now it is time for a total change
i do angel.the mother inlaw had that kind of stove.be carefull what cleaners you use on that surface!! refer to the manual!
Hi Angel--and no--gas stove cooker here
she ruined the surface on her first one
see if you can get the glass cookware set as well
i think corning still makes it
the manual is indispensable, crossy
they make 3 or 4 different pot sizes all in glass
Manual says not to use glass cookware on the cooktop, due to risk of scratching.
mm.things have changed
we went to glass to avoid messing up the surface, but as i say mil ruined her first one with harsh cleaners
crossy misses gas cooking
nothing like a flame for full control
we went from gas to a stove with electric coil burners
thats all Ive ever cooked on, except campfire and grill
i would love a nice propane or NG stove
our electric goes out too often here to use electric.Too often the gas stove has saved frozen pipes and warmed us as well
what i would really love is an AGA range but $$$$'
i use heavy based steel pans on mine. no problems
indeed ,puglet, gas is better all around
angel, my dear, haven't seen you for ever so long. how are you, hun
there we go:)) granny can advise you, angel. after watching MIL with her glass top range for 20 years,i vowed never to have one,but that is a personal choice.i am sure they are fine machines
and crossy? when the kitchen reno's are done, will have all gas, cook-top, oven and grill.
very nice,granny:)
crossy, Sprite tells me you are a bacon fan such as I am
i do enjoy a rasher or two from time to time;))
I could eat it every day
angel, i do have to admit that convection cooking is rather nice. for instance, when i cook mother mac's soups. i start at 1800 watts, and when it begins to boil, drop to 400 watts. i tend to cook by watts, much easier.
my doctor tells me that every slice of bacon i eat takes 6 minutes off of my life so i said to him" in that case DR, i should of dies in 1845"
lol, crossy...
lol
see,our stoves do not have wattage settings as such for electric ranges, the burners are just numbered 1 for the lowest and 10 for the highest setting which makes pinpoint conrol evasive till you get used to your particular stove
I so miss our meat locker--they made the best cracklings, now I cant find them anywhere(fresh)
Hi crossy and Rose! :)
Hi neil
now that is very frustrating, crossy. going by watts is so much easier.
{{{Neil}}} my main man...lovely to see you
and to make matters worse, some of the older electric stove made in the 70,s and 80,s in the usa had a similar setting for the stovetop burners but 1 was the highest and ten was the lowest.we used to have people in our rental units burning the hell out of their dinner all the time till we posted notices in each cabin
Hi puglet. :)
howdy,neil
You too Rose. Although I should definitely not still be up at this hour! Haha.
how confusing, crossy.
bout time you were up at a half decent time ya lazy slug:)
it was indeed,granny
Huh crossy? I haven't seen any like that. Then again we grew up with a gas stove and we have one in our apartment now too.
well almost ditto, mate. Neil, had to have don admitted to hospital this AM. apparently he didn't have man 'flu...the poor love has pneumonia.
I had an electric stove in my last apartment but it was normal, lol.
no,i am talking about the old electric ranges, neil i saw many with those settings
Oh no Rose! I'm sorry to hear that. Hope he'll be ok?!
Iam taking leave, got a lot to do today, wishing all a great day/evening--hugs as I bow out
thanfully most of those are gone now
Wow crossy. I haven't.
xoxox, pugs, have a great day, sweetie
Yeah no kidding, crossy. They sound dangerous!
granny, can you give me the main symptoms of pneumonia please vs a common flu type symptoms
Neil, he will be fine. he's in the best place. his colour has improved already. he is a lovely shade of pink, and not white tinged with blue.
Good Rose. I've had pneumonia a couple of times as a kid and it was no fun at all... ugh.
crossy, not too many differences. same persistent cough and phlegm. but pneumonia does not respond to salbutamol.
ahh ventolin inhalers and the like
Exactly, Rose.
it's quite difficult to differentiate them...only a chest x-ray van help.
Right. I have those because I'm asthmatic... fortunately it doesn't affect me too frequently.
*can*
i also have a touch of asthma.even though i quit the smokes in 2002 ,i am paying for 25 years of smoking
just had to have a blast off the old lung sucker now lol.mornings i always cough up a lung
awww, crossy. am sorry for that. i was one of the fortunate ones. i smoked for almost 40 years. i had asthma up until 18 months ago, 6 months after i quit. no cough, no wheeze, nothing. all clear now.
Well I've had it all my life, crossy... long before I started smoking, which I have quit now.
that is very good indeed, granny:)
Rose? You're not responding on GT.
i am glad you were able to toss them away, neil
check again, Neil
Yeah. Stupid of me to start.
Costs a lot to feed your tumor these days.
hey, we all did it...but now, we are all strong enough to back away. my hat's off to all of you.
And to you, Rose.
So that's where my hat went?! lol
lol,, yup...it's under my......chair. lol
What did Tarzan shout when he saw the elephants coming up over the hill? "Here come the elephants up over the hill!"
funny though, even after all this time a craving for a smoke will hit me right out of the blue
but it vanishes in a minute or 2
Wow crossy. How long has it been since you quit?
13 years
no..
11
quit in spring 2002
crossy, i did the 'champix' course...all 12 weeks, despite the nausea...am so glad i stuck it out...even when i smaell smoke, nothing...no disgust, no desire, nothing
i used welbutrin
phantom: valetudinarian
Oh man. I was kinda hoping all cravings would be totally gone one day. Maybe not? I still get them, but not as often as I did for the first while after quitting... oh man, it was bad then.
try to latin it up o-o. lol mmaybe it will work
Did that work well for you Rose?
absolutely, Neil. never looked back, mate
it is like being an alcoholic or a heroin addict.you will always be an ex smoker.you just choose not to smoke today and the next day and the next.you save them up like a string of pearls
Yep crossy. That's what it's like alright.
rather an appropriate phantom as opposed to hale.
i did the reward system as some of you know.the mrs and i quit the same day,so each day after that for 2 years we put the price of a pack of smokes into a jar.at the end of 2 years i added it up. it came to $12,160.00 and we bought a car with it
a pack was $7.50 at that time
exactly, crossy. which is why i respond with...yes, i am a smoker, i just choose not to smoke.
Of course it is, with that handy "V" being in the grid.
31 years before I quit
my phantoms are the real thing
Sure BabRab. The even include letters that aren't there! At least they're imaginative anyway.
"They", even. Jeez Neil... nice typing.
You do not have to agree with what I see ... I am unaware of any rules for phantoms
lol, indde why should my reality be any better or worse than your own eh?
indeed
{{crossy}}
{{rosie}}
((ruby))
?are you still here?
I wrote a long, careful, lawyer letter and lost it in the Cloud. So annoying

I wrote it in yahoo. Do you think there's any way to retrieve it?
i can almost hear bill gate laughing evily

ty,cgypsy it will be a very interesting evening i am sure
((ruby))
I am bogged down with 38 left, tu** little grid
anybody need a puppy? I got one ditched on me for parvo care, owner hasn't come back or sent any money...
I just watched my puppy stalking birds.....I could barely believe my eyes
I hate pet owners like that jes
what kind of puppy is it (not that I could take it)?
ruru, did you see puglet's terrible story about Detroit and abandoned dogs?
i saw a news report on that ruby.. it's incredibly sad
Detroit is a total mess
just hearing about it from her was heartrending
they need to level and destroy thousands of empty homes
Did you see Detroit 187? It gave me images to go with her story although it wasn't covered here
no I haven't
I read one article in which they were talking about "urban farms" for Detroit which sounded like a great idea
that would be better
well,at least if you flatten it all and make it a farming belt you may give the remaining population some jobs
there are rows and rows of houses that are abondoned
and giving the houses to people who would promise to fix them
abandoned
they don't have the money to fix them ruby
give each family a house and a piece of land around it to farm
that would be one way,ruby
as long as they have jobs
I wonder where all the money poured into Detroit over the years has gone.....
i bet the fat cat rats are leaving the sinking ship as we speak
Anybody can weild a paint brush and hammer some nails. Little grants would be cheaper than tearing stuff down
wield*
well, they are going to have to do something
that looks wrong either way
there was a story this reminded me of.i cannot remember the names but a famous american football player came from a small town that was struggling and not doing well.what he did was pay off EVERYONES mortgage. that gave the town the kick it needed to bounce back
phew, finally reached half
detroit is bankrupt..
but the government won't allow them to file for bankruptcy
so,they just going to wait till it empties then and burn it to the ground???
I don't know..it is a big mess though
or is the govt going to pick up thew tab for roads, sewer, water, repairs etc, etc?
infrastructure cannot be maintained without money/taxes
I don't think so..
or will it become another of Americas ghost towns?
Sorry, got called to work. Abandoned pup is lab x probably german shepherd, 5 months old ish, female
hi guys and ruby too
so someone just dumped the dog and gave incorrect contact info and vanished?
howdy, aloy
no, she gave her parents contact information, they say she doesn't live there, we have her boss's contact info, but it's not like they're responsible for her, we've left messages with boss, sister, mother, and father, she doesn't return calls, she didn't come back in when she said she would to check on the dog, and has 3 times failed to send in payments as she was supposed to.
she hasn't exactly disappeared, but i really don't expect she's ever going to pay this bill.
:((
meanwhile, puppy is living in a kennel here and really needs to find a home that can take care of her.
groan, some people should not have a pet
heh. well, she doesn't, anymore... but i was not really looking for a puppy.
jess,on the good side for dog here:)) we have pretty well killed off puppy mills with s single easy step. here you cannot buy a cat or dog from a pet store.period. they will give you contacts at local shelters where you can adopt a dewormed, fixed and microchipped forever friend for a low price.they also have adoption days where the shelter will highlight and bring in a specific cat or dog looking for a home.IF you insist on a particular breed the stores will have on hand some contact information for safe registered and govt approved breeders
just popped in to finish up.. ready for a quick nap now.. so I'll bid you all adieu till next time - crossy, I really like that policy! Wish it were that way here.. Poof
tc, aloy
yeah, the problem we have with that here, crossy, is that people sell them in parks and along side the road and in parking lots... and we haven't got enough sheriff to do anything about it.
:((
yes,i suppose some will always find a way
but as a person who wants a pet,if you are buying it some back lot or alley your wind should be up for a shady deal
my next pet.. i'm adopting
I am going to get a buddy for Dylan someday soon
yaaa for ruru! it is so easy anyways.for 50-200 dollars all the expensive stuff has been done for you and you give them a new home and a new life
here all pets come with a nice little pet bed,a 5kg bag of vet approved dry food and a nice little knitted pet bed blanket that some volunteers knit up and donate

anyone here watch the series 24 with Keifer Sutherland? i never saw it on cable but have started watching the entire series on netflix. HOLY CRAP IS IT GOOD! i have never seems a mans life fall apart so badly in 24 hours since that time i went to a party once and woke up married! lol
dont, all rush forward all at once now.one at a time please. :)
I watched it when it was on TV. they are bringing it back by the way!
well i do not need to worry.i can sit in front of my smart hdtv and stream all 190 odd episodes back to back if i wish
hi all. crossy, hubby & I LOVED it for a bit, but then the plot lines got a little over the top. I found it to be an intelligent well-written show.
the plot is indeed a bit hectic.imagine all that going wrong in your life in a 24 hour period.insane!
Even more insane, If you consider the fact that he has many of these 24 hour periods...
lets see,his wife has amnesia, his daughter is in jail after being abducted by drug runners who she was staying with after being kidnapped to be murdered for stuff her daddy did, daddy is under investigation at his govt job BUT first hgas to protect a senator ho is to be killed by the same men that are trying to kill the investigator and on top of that the senators son is up on murder charges and two assasins are also running around loose AND we have a dirty investigator who would love nothing more than to put a bullet in jacks head for putting a dirty partner in jail a few years ago...whew!
hi all. I have do6 to give to charity. not getting the other do6 clue
Hmmm, I'm not sure we saw that season. I remember one where his wife and daughter were kidnapped, there was a mole at the CTI, there was a dirty bomb set to go off in LA, and a whole bunch of other craziness!
crossy, I watched every episode of '24" Not all the seasons were great, but most of them were

24 was one of the best series ever on television.
Well, there was The Sopranos and The Wire, but "24" kept me engrossed.
And if you think 24 is riveting, strap in and watch Breaking Bad.
I watched two episodes of BB and didn't care for it. Don't know why, just didn't
I was the same way with The Sopranos. I'm not big on mafia stories. People scream about how good Scarface is. I'm pretty "meh" about that movie.
It's the same thing with all of these shows though... the premise is great, and the first season or two are gripping, but then you run into recycled plot lines. Or worse, ridiculous story lines as the writers try and come up with something new to outdo the las season.
I was hooked on "Fringe" and I don't know why people didn't watch it
Didn't care for scarface much either.... loved GoodFellas and Casino though.
I would disagree with that statement when it comes to Breaking Bad. Nothing recycled or ridiculous, just a gripping story about the total moral demise of a once good man.
Surfside six was great ... three in the know detectives on a houseboat.
I think it was the setting and the whole idea of meth that turned me off.
Bich, I am in no way a science fiction geek, and yet I was hooked on Fringe all the way through. Very good writing on that show.
I missed Fringe. I'm a little scifi geeky, so I think I want to get my hands on that.
well, once i am done all 190 odd episodes of 24, i think we will give braking bad a try.we take turns choosing a series and break it up with movie weekends
breaking
Spell, you can get it from Netflix
that sounds like a great plan crossy
I wasn't keen on the idea of a dying of cancer guy cooking meth to make money to leave his family. But once you start delving into the total demise of the main character, it's like a book that is hard to put down.
i should of done netflix long ago.saving 80 dollars a month and i do not miss cable at all
We don't have Netflix yet. Hubby has to watch ALL football, so we have DirecTv. And that is as much as we want to spend on TV.
Hi everybody. Crossy, I envy you. I'd love to be just beginning to watch BB. I find it enthralling.
howdy soodles;)))
I am a very luck woman. Hubby doesn't care for sports
Fringe is also on repeats on the TV
Ted Mack Amateur Hour was better than the Gong Show.
i can take or leave it as well.like the odd hockey game, but it in no way rules my life
Access to sports is why people will never leave cable entirely. I have enough trouble having basic cable/no ESPN and missing those games.
Commercial television rules ... some day there even may be some good programs to watch.
some day but untill ten i think i will give it a pass
then
The one thing that "scares" me about not having cable / satellite / network tv, is that I won't pay to see a new show. Now, I try things because they're on. Never would have watched Big Bang if I had to pay for the episodes (individually, I mean).
hello all....can someone clue the et 6/18 please?
i am happy with no reality shows, touting multiple wives and people who showcase their fertility drug induces brood of props..errr i mean children or pagent for kids where mummies and daddies prostetot their kids for money and prizes. no ty, stop that ship and let me off

Streets of San Francisco with Karl Malden and Mike Douglas was great.

We block the reality tv channel. and I do my best to avoid any reality tv. I could also easily skip all the reruns of Bewitched, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie, etc.
"Homocide" Life on the Streets" was a great series
if i want reality i will open a window and stick my head out of it and look around lol
I have to wonder about the viewers who keep the ratings of shows like Honey Boo Boo viable.
is whats her name still pimping her 8 kids on tv?
Lol, but I don't think you 'd see that reality out there. I think that's "let's get our rating up via drama" reality.
kate..john and kate,that was it.insane
Jon and Kate + 8...no, she is now whining about how hard life is without a TV show to support her kids and her cushy lifestyle.
nice to know that if you ever want a tv show, all you have to do is gulp enough fertility drugs so you have a "litter"
sorry to interrupt, but could someone clue the fa 6/30 for me please?
tough,my heart does not bleed for her
Meet the Press is a weekly American television news/interview program airing on NBC. It is the longest-running television series in American broadcasting history, despite bearing little resemblance to the original format of the program seen in its television debut on November 6, 1947. Meet the Press is the highest-rated of the American television Sunday morning talk shows.
interesting..never seen it
Sorry Pen, don't have it yet.

Wow, you watched a lot of reality TV
very ridiculous...i am done...thanks for the help!
I don't get the fascination with reality TV personally
Yes, we need to get off the subject of reality tv. I'm getting the fa6/30s
Hi ruru, how was your trip?
whatever I've seen is trailer trash and nutcasees
hi Spell.. it was fabulous.. I had a great time
There are people who seem fascinated with watching human train wrecks. I don't get it.
yeah.. that's my thought too molly
Did you come down here? Was it the Chinoise party?
I actually tried to watch a few minutes of keeping up with the kardashians once and it was so horrible I couldn't believe people watch those self-absorbed pathetic nutcases
Re reality... I think that's the point. Once you get sucked in, you need to see the wreck.
no it is coming up soon spell I have to check the date. I have to go to San Diego first
well,i am off to watch a couple episodes of 24 with the mrs.tc everyone
The scariest part about reality tv is that it teaches people to behave badly. We should have reality tv at Caltech, or other uplifting things. No one would watch though.
by crossy. have fun with Jack
Reality TV makes behaving badly entertaining. I still don't get that.
I really don't understand the whole genre to be honest
It seems like you are always on the road Ru. Is this all work? Or play too?
I don't care for sit-coms either
work.. work.. and more work
Yes, Ru doesn't play. Not at all. Not one bit. Who would think so?
Confession: We got sucked in to Bridezilla's Marriage Bootcamp recently. I thought it would be interesting but the therapy was a JOKE. Watched the whole season though. (Hangs head in shame)
I find that hard to believe ;-)
So when is NZ?
Molly.... what a cute picture. Are those your raspberry bushes?
No, I wish
new zealand is my present for my 60th birthday in a year or so
i'd worry about the mice then for molly
Ok, plenty of time to plan... You said your going for a longish period of time... so both islands, yes?
both islands.. top to bottom.. bottom to top maybe a whole month
We have a mouse in our compost bin. Our raspberry bushes got totaled by our tree trimming guy, even though I specifically warned him to be careful.
We were only there for 4 or 5 days. We did both islands (they laughed at us).... We didn't get to see much of the south island, and I keep trying to get back there. Gorgeous!!!
We most enjoyed the city of Nelson and Abel Tasman park on the south island.
I know.. i have always wanted to go there .. my whole life
after that .. I thought I'd go hiking the borders of Iran with a FBI shirt on :D
There is a hotel in the park that you must take a water taxi to get to. It is supposed to be spectacular. we didn't have the time. I think it was around $400 US per night. But if we go back, we're splurging there.
I wonder If I can babble from Iranian jail :D
Hmmm... iran... Well, I guess I have a year to get to know you. Then I'll mourn you.
I will ask you a zillion questions when I'm closer to going
to new zealand that is
I'd be more than happy to offer my tips. I can also email you my itinerary ideas. I usually do extensive research before vacay. Hubs always says we need a vacation when we get home.
I have to figure out how to break up the trip so that there aren't that many hours on the plane
Our first time, we stopped in Tahiti. but FA'A is one of the worst airports.... I'd "tough" it out on the plane.
I was thinking Somoa or Hawaii
It's only 12/13 hours... not so bad.
I can't handle that much time on a plane
You're flying biz/first... 12 hrs should be cake.
3 left-- do5/12, 6/24, and an6/18. any fishworthy?
all of them mom
Was afraid you'd say that! Let me get my monkeys back to work!
Don't be worried about my mice. Just icon pictures. We commoners who don't travel enjoy such things. Must go check the pot roast now.
I only have the do6 , would you like a clue?
an 6 is a picnic pest + oxygen mixed up
do 5 is do + the beginning of not short
do 6 is senile or losing it
Tks, kids!
we had a mouse in our house once.. I thought mrs ru was ready for the hospital when she saw it
tx ru
We had a gecko a few days ago. Cats are very helpful in those situations.

did you get a new insurance policy Spell :D ?
We must buy all things Berkshire Hathaway
*F*W*!!!! Twice in one week -- most unusual! Tks Spell, ru, et al, as well as my beloved monkeys! 'Til the morrow fellow Babblers!
congrats mom.. have a nice day out there
berkshire hathaway.. woooo hoo. that's big bucks isn't it?
By mom
They own geico, and sees candy. B shares are ony $XXX
They're so "inexpensive" they don't need the l (only)
I have a friend that has BH funds and it's a lot of dough
Well, this is a big bucks conversation (Just watching)
Isn't pot roast big bucks?
Not at all.
Really? I always thought that was one of the expensive cuts of meat (don't eat meat)
getting roasted on pot nowadays is big bucks :D
pot roast is an inexpensive cut
it's great slow cooked with juices and veggies
So what is the "big bucks" cut of meat?
FIlet, sirloin, T-Bones,
I actually really like pot roast .. my mom used to make it all the time when I was younger
I could never be a vegetarian again
My mom isn't such a great cook. But she is/was a great mom.
Why not?
my mom was an okay cook.. and she wasn't a great mom
Were you vegetarian? In your wild youth?
yeah.. i went through a phase of it in high school
kind of a hippie thing
my father used to say at the table "Dorothy.. pass me the dead flesh" to get to me while I ate my brocoli :D
Hmm, tolerant guy, eh?
uh no
My cousin says "you eat the food of my food."
that's cute
What started you back on the path of dead flesh?
I wasn't smart enough to figure out a balanced diet and got sick
plus at heart.. i'm really a carnivore
You sound more like a foodie to me... the way you are always describing your cooking... Even before with Molly and her pot roast.
I am a pretty good cook.. and I love to cook
I love cooking for people
We went vegan as a science experiment a few years back. But I don't think I could get my head around eating meat again.
i respect it.. vegetarianism .. as a concept...
Yes, you've made me hungry on more than one occasion.
Good Afternoon, Everyone. We are waiting for the promised (and needed) rain. How are all of you today?
I am not proselytizing... I was omnivorous into my 40s.
i make a lot of veggie dinners for mrs ru.. she's not a meat eater either
hi nef
Hi Nef. Hot and dry here.
she likes fish.. but that's about it meat wise
Hubby was asking me if we'd eat fish again if we move to WA or OR.
it's tofu to do a non meat diet and keep the proteins up.. er.. i mean tough
good fish in washington
Seitan is a great source of protein, and a nice change from to4.
As far as food, I try to eat a balanced, nutritious diet. There's very little pre-packaged food in our house (other than angel food cake); and I know I'd seriously miss my meat if I had to go without it for more than a week or so.
I didn't get your pun at first ;(
Ok... changing the topic slightly. Weirdest food you've ever eaten? Mine is Natto.
You know Nef, you can make your own angel food cake. then it wouldn't be pre-packaged.
our DIL tried vegan last year; insists lack of meat proteins is what landed her in the hospital once during that time(of her 7 psych adms) because she couldn't sleep without tryptophan
Nef - never heard that one before. We've been vegan for 7 years now. Never had a problem.
Could I get a clue for fa6/30, please?
Point of clarity please, vegan and vegetarian are not the same thing, right?
weirdest food I've ever eaten: ... mmmm rooster combs
LOL, SpellCheck! You don't know my level of baking inadequacy! I did try to bake an angel food from scratch once; after slicing it in half horizontally and spreading lemon pudding in and on it; it was still only 1 1/2 inches tall! (and NO, I'm not joking; DH will verify that fact!)
NO vegan means not dairy as well. Nothing that even comes from an animal.
Fa 6 - fa +cons + live for ***ay.
fatboot
damn
:D
Vegan is no animal product (no fish no eggs no milk no cheese). There is some debate about honey. We eat honey in our house.
debate about honey? really?
Going to look up fatboot. Rooster comb I know. What does that taste like?
fatboot was a joke
<--is the only one laughing
Ok. A search for fatboot brought back an app fatbooth, and a porn site. I think I know which you meant! ;)
Are you laughing at the honey or the boot.
fa + con.. + *** tay
rooster comb has to taste like chicken, right? :)
Doesn't everything sajarn?
it was chewy.. i didn't like it really
Lima beans are weird too
more or less, but was just thinking about the rooster....
oy
Natto is a Japanese delicacy. there are many vids on you tube about eating natto.
the rooster was fine.. as long as he didn't lose his head over it :D
thanks ruru
what's natto
Sajarn... your profile says you are in Colorado. How is the weather by you.
Sorry, SpellCheck I forgot to mention that DIL has food "issues" and has several eating disorders; she isn't anorexic or bulimic; but her latest kick is the paleo diet, no gluten, nothing that isn't marked "Non GMO", you can't microwave foods; and a few other things (I don't even try to keep up anymore)
Natto -- very odd fermented soybeans. Very popular breakfast food in japan. Friend suggested I try it. It was, um, different.
rain off and on. we're dry here, only about 3" over last 2 days. Plenty, but nothing compared to areas with creeks and rivers over-flowing, roads washed away etc. Thanks for asking
I hope you don't have to cook for her Nef.
ewwwww
I used to be an adventurous eater. Not as much these days, but I still like to try new things.
I cook soybeans sometimes.. but have to add a bunch of things to make them taste better
they are living with us right now; she says she's moving out in a few days.
Nef, some people are like that. It's an attempt to "fix" other issues with diet. Those other issues are not often fixable with diet.
Very true, Molly; especially when she's trying to fix her bipolar disease with diet, not medicine.
I'm not so sure that is a good strategy.
oh jeez
well, it definitely isn't working. I've tried to be supportive; but gave up now
Ru - are you an inventive cook yourself, or do you follow recipes?
Nef, hopefully she'll move out as promised.
i never use recipes
i'll look at a recipe to get the combinations.. but not follow the measurements.
most often I buy what looks best at the store and create something
And how often you wind up going out to dinner after cooking? ;)
I'm hoping and praying, SpellCheck. I'll always keep her in my prayers; but we've discovered that she won't ever be happy here at our house.
I cook better than most restaurants around here to be honest
That's too bad. I hope it doesn't put a strain on your relationship w your son.
I'm jealous of mrs ru. I do the cooking here. I'm not a bad cook, but there are days I really want a meal to show up in front of me!
Nef, I'm sorry. You are in a no win situation.
ruru, reading some of your menus I'm fascinated by your talent
my son has tried to help her too; but he's ready for her to leave too.
I think if you love cooking.. the rest comes easy
Maybe you could offer us babblers a deal where you come and cook for us for special occasions.
oh wow nef
Nef, sometimes love and prayers are not enough. It's time for this girl to get some hard core treatment.
Has she been your DIL for a long time?
Did she come with these issues, or has she developed them over time?
isn't one born bi-polar
From what I know, bi-polar disorder is an inbred thing. It is not something that develops over time.
they will have been married for 5 years next month. She was diagnosed bipolar when she was around 20; but until she got pg., she was doing well on her meds. Once she got pregnant, she went off her meds and she's been pretty "off" since then
I thought it typically manifests in your late teens/early 20s.
Could I get a clue for fa7, please?
no fa7... fr7
there is no fa 7
hi doc
hello
I had hoped that when they moved in I'd be able to help her; but she's been nasty and vile ever since the day they moved in. She's extremely self-centered, selfish, ungrateful, rude, has no manners, etc. and my son has put up with this all along.
So.
She sounds charming.
house guest from hell .. it sounds like to me
How many kids do they have, Nef?
FW... finally
any clues before I go?
Yay for KJE! Well done!
Nef, sorry if this sounds harsh, but it's time to stop enabling her.
She tells my 4 y/o grandson that I should take my cat to the vet and put her to sleep; that's how "lovely" she is (my cat is 14 yrs. old; I'm allergic to her but not much; she belonged to our beloved AUntie Jean.
YAY kje!!! WTG!!!
sorry I meant af7?
Your son doesn't step in?
Af and not rear, Marc
af +not the back but the ***** door where most people ring
she sounds cruel too nef
Tried that but it is not working.
double f marc
Marc, you have the double cons?
lots of what she does is sneaky (like telling my grandson that)
Oh got it two f's.
sneaky or not.. it's cruel
Nef, why are they living with you then?
waiting for that answer
I agree with what Molly says about enabling her. I've found that an acquaintance of mine with bi-polar uses her condition to excuse downright unacceptable behaviour.
'For' unacceptable behaviour....
My son lost his job (the company laid off a third of their permanent employees right after their "crunch" time) and she ran up a huge debt on her last "manic" phase in April. SO they moved in with us so he could work whatever free lance jobs he can and try and pay off the bills.
The thing is, you don't have to accept unacceptable behavior. No matter how "nice" you are trying to be.
Is bi-polar the same as what we used to call manic-depressive?
I know. And I confront her now with some of this stuff (which is another reason she says she's leaving).
BUT, right now the joy of my life (my grandson --well my DH is a close second I guess at this point of time!) is begging for attention
yes Soodle
Hope she leaves soon Nef. Have fun.
he wants to go out and watch the rain; BBL (sorry for not keeping it light and cheery here this past half hour. :-(
Speaking of mental illness..... When I was at school, several girls had 'nervous breakdowns' & vanished for months. Very recently I asked my sister the doctor if people had stopped having nervous breakdowns, as I hadn't heard the term used for years. She looked at me with a cocked eyebrow, & informed me that those girls had, in fact, been pregnant. A typical Irish solution to an Irish problem. I was gobsmacked!
Gobsmacked. Love that! Same thing happened to my cousin... not irish here.
Lol Spell. Apparently, the girl 'in trouble' was packed off to live with a relative in a faraway place, the child was born, put up for adoption, & life resumed for the girl. And this was in the 70's & 80's!
84 here for my cousin. We only found out about it because, after the child was given up for adoption, she wanted it back. (Then her mother raised the child because she couldn't/wouldn't).
Ok... time to go do something. Later all.
Bye Spell:-)
"Nervous breakdown" covered a lot of territory back in the day. Pregnancy of young girls, adult female alcoholics, and various other mental disorders that were not recognized at the time.
And yes, bi-polar is the new lingo for manic depressive.
I don't know why Nef feels the need to keep things light and cheery. When you are among friends, you should be able to speak your truth.
hi all
okay don't all talk at once :)
hey gypsy!
hi stidmama
how are u
good. you?
good, but my afternoon plans got waylaid by traffic, left with a friend to go to the movies and the ran into wall to wall traffic from road construction

:)
going to take a break and work on project....see you later stidmama!
later gypsy, be well!
Dunno, Molls. If being bright & cheery gets her through the night, well that's OK. Everyone has their own coping mechanisms. Hi Stid :-)
You're right. Everyone has their own coping mechanisms. I just feel bad sometimes that only "certain" people here get attention when they post about their troubles.
Well, pull up a couch, draw the curtains, & settle in for a diatribe of my troubles...... Lol! Joking!
howdy everyone:) back to play with this grid a bit.i never knew it would be that much of a pita to find a link that can provide a working trial period for microsoft office 2010 but i think i have one, finally
mm,nm.that did not work either

And you, Cross. :-)

it is indeed because what makes my belief better than anyone elses?
Quite interesting, nonetheless, how one makes a perception (arbitrary and subjective) an absolute not open to discussion.
aww poor soodles, what happened when you were 2, did someone introduce you to the porcelain temple
o-o perception and belief is in the eyes of the beholder.get enough people to agree with your belief and it becomes the status quo, get more to come on board and it becomes law and a guide line to acceptable behavior
*Passes around the Doublemint gum*
mmm...gum!
No, Joso. A new baby came into our house. My nose was disjointed & has remained so!
lol, didn't like the sib from day one huh
Lol, lol, rofl! Molly, I love you!
Individual absolutes are pervasive despite any claim to objectivity or proximity to consensus.
That 'baby' celebrated his 50th birthday in July. To this day, me & him have had 'issues'. 100% my fault. Classic case of sibling rivalry!
good lawyer speak o-o :)
o-o, you lost me at 'individual'....,
Hope someone finds you.

Sorry about the double post.
Hiya Jes. :-)
how goes, soodle?
Oh! I'd love to post all my 'wucking furries' on here, Jes, but I'm holding myself back!!! Lol. How are you?
not too bad off, all things considered.
a bit sleepy and scatterbrained though.
'Scatterbrained'. Wonderful word!

why do you have a puppy, jes? hey peri! hey joso!
because stupid people, as is the reason for so many of the animals in my life.
oh. "stupid people" -- been there, done that.
she had parvo, and a human with no money, who has for 2 weeks now failed to come check on said puppy, return calls, or send money
poor critter. rough to be abandoned.
how old is she?
and will there be any long-term effects?
pushing 6 months? girl said she was 10 month old pit x lab, but there's no WAY she's that old (doesn't have permanent canine teeth, which come in at 6 months) and looks more like a german shepherd cross than any pitty i'm familiar with
usually no long term effects
hm. sounds like a bad situation all-around. I just read there are vaccines for parvo...
yeah, she didn't get any of them.
good that there aren't long term things to worry about at least. When we got Brandy she had heartworm (from Virginia), but after some antibiotics she was fine.
We can agree that everyone has heard of common sense but we may all have different ideas as to what it means. Famous philosophers in history have quoted what they think common sense is but not everyone agrees to the exact definition. I believe that common sense can be specific knowledge acquired by a certain age and an ability to make sound decisions with that knowledge. Based on that, I can safely say that I agree with Voltaire, "Common Sense is not so common." ~Bernadette Alvarez-Candelario
I think common = vulgar (of the people) and isn't always based on knowledge, but more on superstition... *argumentative mama mode*
she still needs to be vaccinated (because wouldn't it flat suck to get over parvo and then get distemper?!), which I'll do this next week, but wanted to wait until she was good and healthy first.
I thought I was over the virus of the week, but I think the fever is back. So if I disappear, it's nothing anyone said...
aww. sad for sick stiddy
So, not that I have any money right now, but what does it cost you to do all this for our dog-o-the-day?
Hoping that being ill the first week of school means that I will be healthy for the next month or so. :-D
well, there's the $700 hospitalization bill that I expect I'll never get paid on (for emergency call + parvo test + treatment), ongoing costs will be same as any other puppy though - a couple vaccines, microchip, spay, food.
wow. That's a huge amount, not unreasonable, but a fair chunk of change!
and whatever value you put on "cranky bruce" for having to put up with a puppy ;)
*grin* poor cranky bruce...
first week of school is the worst for germ mixing... not surprising you get sickness
true. and even more so because I only subbed a couple of times in that district last year.
So it's almost as if I haven't been exposed to these particular strains.
I'd try to pawn her off on you, if you had your house finished... :D
I'd be jumping at the chance. If I had my house finished. If I didn't have to pay a $400 non-refundable deposit for a pet that can't be more than 40 lbs when full-grown...
I feel awful that I can't even consider the idea.
yeah, she'll be a bit large for an apartment dog. someday you'll have a house again though
that's the plan, jes!
Gonna be up this year? Ours won't be - we'll stall out with the plumbing laid, but won't be able to get framed so don't want to pour the floor
okay, stuck on 15 for 15 minutes.
We have a floor, now I need walls. The concrete man wants to stain and seal before walls go up, but it's supposed to rain, and I am impatient. If the stain doesn't happen before the walls, then it will just have to wait. I don't want wet wood starting to mildew on a brand-new house!
indeed - we'd end up with half done walls getting snowed on if we tried this year
yep. when it starts, it's a long-term thing.
anyway, I should go lie down. back later. good luck with miss critter.
sleep sweet, feel better!
evening all!
Hi. Just finishing but leaving 13 words on the grid. Time to check on the potato baking in the oven. too pretty an evening to be in the kitchen! Take care, dan.
Turned into a really beautiful day here in the great Northwest
northwest?
I'm in WA in the NW US this weekend
where at, tor?
oh, sounds lovely. i noticed yesterday, i think, you were nursing a machine, or something of the sort. didn't realize you were so far from home.
Anywhere near me?
Everett WA
hmm. about a 6 hour drive then... poo
Yes, nursing in the sense that Dr Frankenstein was a nurse :)
*Alerts the horses that Frau Blucher is about*
ah, everett. named for everett colby, son of founder charles colby, if memory serves. largest city in snohomish county, i believe. (actually, i googled it)
Much too far to go for the likes of me ;)
you mean you invented it, or just brought it to life using spare parts from the graveyard?
Brought it to life after transplanting some vital organs
48.49 square miles the last time I measured it. Everett, that is.
from the graveyard.
ok, i confess, google again on the sq. footage.
I'm shocked ..
yes. i memorized the square footage of all u.s. cities once. then i forgot.
But very pleased to see you here, Ms. mab
Fronkensteen!
please to be anywhere and to see you too.
fronkensteen... he wast mine boyfriend1
Don't be frightened, dear. It's only a rat .. A filthy, _slimy_ rat ..
No homicidal ideations presently.
scarcely worth mentioning
if you're blue and don't know where to go to why don't you to where harlem flits....
no, no: why don't you go to where fashion sits...
wallflower shuffle is all I know
dressed up like a million dollar trooper, trying hard to look like gary cooper
the original irving berlin lyrics are racist. not sure who revised them
maybe fred astaire
everyone tap dance now. are you keeping up with me? tance, tance, tance!
slow curtain, the end.
Billie "Buckwheat" Thomas
i feel sorry for people who have funny names they'll never shake. how would you like to be known as eddie 'cleanhead' vincent, for example.
harry 'sweets' edison
'fathead' newman
dimbulb Darby
his head wasn't even fat
life is basically unfair
who is dimbulb darby?
I was called that before the sun came up.
I guess it was a reflection of my personality
is that a reference to intimacy? they called johnny hodges jeep, which i like, but it was because he didn't move much when he played and was just real sturdy like a jeep
never got intimate with a dim bulb
they also called him 'rabbit' because he looked sort of like a rabbit when he played, if you looked at him straight on
oh. sorry. pardon my freudistic p.o.v.
maybe a ying or yang thing?
how-dee y'alls
hey all, hey gwen
hi stid, doc
good evening
well, if I had, would have had to have been pardoned
not at all
hey phand. Hope all is well with you. any word on Cade?
He is doing fine, thank you.
glad to hear.
yes, me too. Had you heard that I got the job?
OR 6 please?
decorative
fancy and detailed
gah. fish me. *sigh*
thanks.
for those who fancy details
YIPPEEYIPPEE!!!!! WOO-HOO!!!! JOB JOB JOB!!!! (can I has loan-burger?)
that's very exciting, phand. I am most pleased for you.
congrats, ph!!
Thanks, Stid, I am pleased too. I am looking forward to getting started. If I can get my license for WV fast enough, I should start 10/7. If things don't happen that fast, then it will be 11/4.
oh, I have to go help Matthew move... don't know if I will be back in time to finish. down to 7 now. Back later.
have a good evening.
Thank you Gwen.
night, stid
nbt, and this grid is not looking like fun 8-(
I am down to 14
you fast!
no, worked on the puzzle earlier today
oh
36 to go here
have you seen the movie "Now You See Me"?
nope!
watching it now, it's about 4 magicians that commit crimes together. Kind of weird.
comedy or what?
it's a crime, mystery, thriller.
i see
american?
Yes. Has Woody Harelson, Morgan Freeman (those are the names I know there are probably others normal people would know)
well, i might see it, if i find it at a rummage sale for a buck or two, on a day i have money LOL
we netflixed it.
right now (well, earlier today) i am watching Beyond the Sea, a musical biopic about bobby darin
sounds good!
it's very "artsy-fartsy" all right
do you have do 5/12 by any chance?
do5/12, adjective form of do4/5, to fixate on someone
or, the last part of the word anecdo***
isn't that the 6/21?
might be an alternate spelling . . .
(just try it) 8-)
i do have a do6/21, different word entirely
I understand your clue to be the 3rd do 4/5 + te. If that is correct then that is the 6 and I have it. If not, then I am afraid I need a different clue.
do5 rhymes with to5; the sum, all
got it. Thank you. :)
(perhaps i should have said, "spelled wrong" ??)
and both your movies are cool, bobby darin was much more interesting than I expected, pay close attention to the end of yours phand, when they explain how it is all done
will do Joso.
So, I was hoping the do 5/12 and 6/24 were a pair. So, since they aren't can I have a clue for the 6?
do6 rhymes with re6, to slow progress, or a rude persons name for a dolt
thank you, Joso.
ty, joso, i was just hunting for that one
fireworks, hooray
Good for you Gwen, I still have 10 left...
i listed when i was down to 15, hee hee, can clue if you need
congrat gwen
I have the list open and can't figure the rest out.
how about dr 5?
last word was an7, took me a bit
dr5 rhymes with the ra4/10
et 6?
dr5 dr + ger***e, long neck animal
e + bird claw
et6 = et + **coholics an**ymous
bird claw, that's a much better clue!
both good clues
8-D

Hi again. How is everyone doing tonight?
hey nef
hi stid! It sounds like things are going well for you both as far as work and the house! Good for you!
*wanders back in* 37 left...
hi jes. Where are you wandering from?
zen pencils
huh?
http://zenpencils.com/comic/87-samuel-\nbeckett- ever-tried-ever-failed/
thanks, nef -- things are taking shape; but the weather is starting to get rainy sooner than normal, and I worry it will cause problems for us. I need one more solid week of no rain at all... and then a few weeks of just intermittent rain for the walls and roof to get put up.
zen pencils - it's a comic, sort of... illustrated quotes with blurbs about the people who said them
please send some rain to us, stid!
I'll check that out, jes
cute one, jes!
clue stick me? :D af7 please
I would if I could, Nef -- I will send you the Monday-Wednesday rain that is forecast, and maybe the concrete guy will be able to stain and seal the 'crete all at once.
Oh I hope he can pour and your clouds will dry up for you for a week.
jes, I couldn't get your link to work; so I Googled "zen pencils" and liked the one I saw (it was about figs). Bookmarking that site now! Thanks! :-)
af 7 is af + not back but*****
thankee, nef! didn't have that f word either :)
thanks nef -- the concrete was poured last week -- a pic on my website, but the staining (we can't afford anything on it, so are going for a stone-like "trompe l'oeil" effect) had to wait until it cured a bit.
fa6/30?
