Hi all :)
hi liz!
name that noun.. canadian singer who is self-absorbed and married to a guy old enough to be her grandfather
hi ru
hi dee
hope you had a nice day
another odd grid I see
went pretty well until the last 25
they'll be better soon
did you have a good showing on your house?
the property
and?
we might get an offer already
wow... that IS amazing.
what all are you selling?
13 acres in northern Napa.. with a large pond.. and cottage
Sounds like paradise!
No wonder you are getting an offer quickly!!
You must be doing a happy dance.
we hope.. it'd be nice.. we have a ton of equity in it
Good luck with the sale
super, ru
it's only been on the market since friday
the market is hot here right now
Realtors must have been watching for it to come on the market.
ho ho found the fa 9
there's no inventory of large parcels of land for sale other than ours almost
ca 6 and ca 7
<---holding my breath
You should be able to name your price then :)
I wish..
we just want our money back
we put a ton of money in the property
sure know that feeling... we didn't get ours out of the other one, but our timing was bad
Also found fa 9 - thanks Ru for telling me the 9 was fa 9!
oh.. better go to bed..driving some tomorrow.
rest well, ru... be safe
hi everyone, just back from bridge
you guys have fun
Sleep well and safe drive.
thks, ru; hi flosey

Hi pugs :)

hi pugs and good morning Glantarell
Hi Glant :)
hi pug, sprite, glant
Liz: almost... need to get dressed still, lol. But all paperwork and ID and travel stuff are ready
hiya Glant
going on a trip, sprite?
morning Giant,Liz,Sprite,Flosey and Dee(hope I didnt leave anyone out)
Have good vibes about this sprite :)
Glant: intake for clinic for eating disorders.
yay Liz :) You give me hope! :D
Good Luck today Sprite, will be thinking of you today
hi pug, sprite, dee, liz, flosey and anyone else
thank you, pug :)
Don't know why - I do just feel good about it!
residential clinic - how long for? good luck!
they offer both resident and non-resident programs. The intake is to decide which to offer me... intake with psychiatrist next week... after that, decision.
if I am allowed residential, it will be for 6 - 8 weeks. Weekends home.
best of luck, i hope it works for you whichever way it goes
prayers are with you sprite. i know this is gonna be a tough one.
Liz, I have a lot of faith in 'gut-feelings'. Thank you!
yw :)
Hi ya Rose, feeling better?
hiya rose. Yeah, it is. Thank you for your support.
yes thanx pugs. still wrung out though
how are you, rose? How is the breathing an coughing?
Pugs beat me to that question!!! Sorry to read yesterday that naughty Don infected you!!!! LOL!
thanks, Glant :)
and hows Don
breathing pretty good, can almost take a full breath without coughing.
Progress - when does he come home? Or did I miss that?
wow... sounds like progress, but not good at all yet. Is Don fully on the mend?
Maybe you are both on the mend now, Rose :)
don still coughing badly. but not quite as much, we both got a decent night's sleep
liz, brought him home yesterday.
sleep is a great healer
That's good :)
But you've lost the TV control! Not so good!!!
hope you gte better soon roase and don
lol Liz
dee, i am sure we are. i feel so much better emotionally. oh, and btw? this virus attacks your kidneys...we both became severely dehydrated, overnight. not last night, but earlier in the week
Seriously though, i will you both a speedy and full recovery.
ugly virus :(
wish!
wow, does sound nasty
*giggles* Forceful much, huh Liz...
so if you hear of anyone coming down with this, for goodness sake, tell them to drink lots of fluid.
I'll remember.
maybe not so much the virus as it was the bourbon?-lol
Not liking this grid any more than yesterday's! BBL. Good luck Sprite - look forward to hearing the outcome.
lol pug! Hangover virus.
don as well, pugs, and he doesn't drink alcohol, only socially
thanks Liz :)
no the dehydration
the boy is ill, btw... and all of a sudden he is just a little boy again.
i am so thankful we sent mother mac away. don told me today, that the doctor's told him last week that the antibiotics weren't working for her, because of her poor renal function. * sigh * i don't think she will be with us much longer.
my mum is in the same position rose
aww poor, tim. what's the problem?
where has mother mac gone?
so sorry Rose
aw rose :( Tough place to be for all of you.
Sprite what is wrong with your son?
so sorry, Rose
we sent her to her daughter's until we are well enough to take care of her again.
tim has a touch of the flu. Cottonball head, headache, sore throat, the works.
so if she had picked up this virus, it may have been the end.
my mum's 80 miles away and has just spent a week in hospital - mild heart attack - I found her on the kitchen floor last Monday when i took some shopping
oh, gosh, glant
you did very well to send her away, rose. Every virus can be fatal when people are that weak. *hugs*
How awful, Glant.
Hope it doesnt spread through out your family,Sprite
and i go to the US on 9th Oct
aw Glant... so sorry. Must have given you quite a scare. How is she doing now?
okaaa-aaay, sneezing not a good idea...* OUCH *
for 3 weeks. Hoping I feel confident enough about her health by then to enjoy the trip
oh dear... for how long, Glant?
she is doing fine but she is at stage 4 kidney disease
Hugs Giant--hope all comes out okay
ah, already told us. I hope she will be steady enough by then so you can go without worrying too much.
she was on the floor for 40 minutes before I found her, and another 2 hours before the paramedica arrived (we didn;t know it was heart, she was awake and alert)
that is long :(
yes, she was cold by the time they got her up
it's yucky, isn't it glant? and there isn't a lot you personally can do...i know...all i try to do is give her a well-balanced diet, and cross my fingers.
i just feel a bit helpless being so far away, and holding down a full time job means I can't visit daily as i'd like
when their time has come, there is nothing you can do. But both of you are making their lives until that point a lot better.
at 94, it's a bit late trying to te5 her new diet tricks....lol
my mum should be on a better diet but she has so little interest in food these days that i think eating anything is a bit of a bonus
poor glant....as don would say, so near, yet so far.
although i worry about her salt intake
mum's 79
respectable ages. Yes, easy on the salt is always good, but I can understand you being happy she is eating anything at all.
glant it usually isn't the sodium which is the problem..it's the potassium. do you have a list of high potassium foods to show her?
does she need ore potassium or less? and where would I get such a list?
we have a "low" salt over here. i was going to give it to mother mac. then i realised it was potassium chloride, not sodium chloride.
glant, try google or whichever search engine you use. if you don't find it, email me and i will send it to you.
pfui, past the halfway point. This is a decidedly wicked grid.
she needs much less potassium. chronic renal failure patients camnnot excrete potassium, and so it builds up in their blood.
does she need low potassium or high potassium rose?
thanks
yay, sprite, nice job. yes, it has teeth, dear
bananas, acorn squash...
Sprite are you going alone today
hiya mab :)
lovely icon and profile text, mab, lol
yogurt
hey mab, those are some...but there are many more...all not obvious
Hi Mab, dont think Ive met you before
pug: yes, my husband is at work. Am all set with how to travel... been ages since I used public transportation.
hi sprite and ell. just googled high potassium foods.
white beans, avocado
all
hi all, not ell
was thinking mab, if glant googles it for herself, she could print out the information.
mab is a babbler from the very start, I think
dried apricots, leafy greens, potatoes, salmon
that sounds like an adventure in its self.Never have used public trans. before, myself
i'll bet she's googling now
you going by train, bus or taxi or horse and carrige
pugs, i tried to find your home on google maps. was there a fire around your home in the last few years?
wish I could go by horse! No, bicycle to train station, train to Amsterdam, tram to near destination.
nah, pugs, she's on the harley davison...lol
not that Iam aware of,but we did have a bad tornado that done alot of damage and took out a covered bridge
rose I wish! The only bike worth calling a motor bike. Well, HD and Indian.
i have no auto either.
weird...on google maps, there is burnt fields all around you, and the trees near the house have been burnt.
our car is sitting in front of our home, with panne. Didn't have the money yet to have it fixed.
have you been there long?
but distances are greater than in netherlands
what is the date of the google maps there, rose?
thats not me then---Ive lived here since I was 18
I live about five miles from a small town called Milroy
would you believe? i am sitting here with a temperature of around 100F. someone turn on the aircon...please...
is that the room temp or your temp
my temp pugs
i do wish our buses ran more frequently; the number of riders is low
indeed, mab. In the Netherlands, it is impossible to be more than 300 km away from anything.
I always wanted to take a trip by train
my new house is 4 minutes walk form the train station - bliss
are you sweating it out Rose
i've always lived in big cities, until the last several years. i miss subways and cabs.
i used to live 40 minutes drive away form the station
oh how lovely, Glant. And the noise isn't bothering you?
yes, pugs, it's pouring off me...
do you live in a big city Mab
is the fibro behaving, rose?
put your wrists in a bowl of cold water rose, always helps me
no, i live in nowheresville, mass.
i don;t hear the trains at all sprite
thats good though Rose and you sure dont want cold drafts on you now!
that is lovely, Glant.
hard to tell, sprite. i still ache all over.
i am coming to stamford in 3 weeks mab
*sends gentle healing vibes to rose*
*bouncing those vibes plus more to sprite *
oh yes, fairfield county. i used to visit that area often.
did you get the chicken soup,Rose
can't see the REs....
got chicken and corn, is that close enough?
which ones, glant?
close enough---is it soup?
i have 3, the re4s and can't see any of the longer ones LOL
aw thanks, rose... but make sure you keep enough vibes for yourself!
yes, dear....and i got some minestrone as well.
I love corn soup but never have made it
lolol, that's why the 'plus', dear
lol rose :D
re7, depending upon someone/something
ok, am gonna get dressed. Back in a bit.
ty rose
hurry back!
OK, half way and time to head out for work - happy babbling
re5/6, what is left after a long time...
when I was working at the home, they made the best creamy corn soup
re6, re + a straight **** is the shortest distance between two points
bye Giant have a lovely day
hope you have a good one, glant
Well, I'm *really* late this time -- had important (to me) arrangements to attend to before coming here. Old friend coming to Victoria for the weekend so I had to get out of bridge and stuff to see her and her family for maybe the last time.
Hi Jilli--why the last time
Well, she's 88 and lives in Toronto -- I'm 86 and live on the west coast.
She's coming here with her ailing hubby for her older sister's memorial.
When I say "here" I mean Victoria -- not where I live, but I'm arranging to meet.
I hope you get to have a good visit and I really dont know what to say but I hope you both a very very long life ahead
thanks, pug -- it can't be really long, but we'll take whatever we get, lol!
we none know when our number is up, age has nothing to do with that
so will i...jilli, take whatever you get...and i hope you live long enough to be a nuisance to your children...lol
falling asleep here, goodnight everyone
night Flosey
night, flosey, hope you have a sweet sleep
And I agree with that too! Night flosey. Sleep well.
Oh, I'm already a nuisance to my one and only child -- my son! He just hit 65 -- unbelieveable. My very adult gandkids (2) are much more tolerant.
night flosey, hi jilli, I am back
yay, jilli, then you are right on target, dear
how can he even think you are a nuisance, jilli? You are wonderful! Wish you were my mother :(
Gnight flosey -- and hi sprite -- glad you're back.
Back and already to go now Sprite
Peeked at sprite while she was getting dressed
*naughty ruru*
Skype can be wonderful :D
ruru is bad!
bet you got an eyeful.....* hysterical laughter*
lol ruru :D You wouldn't want to, I promise.
sprite, did you leave skype on? i've told you again and again...
all ready to go, pug. Just my wallet and my bag and off I go. May the rain stay away long enough for me to reach the train :)
Two eyeful s
rose, how else can I incite lovely men to peek at me?
Two eyeful s
now put them back in their sockets, ruru
easily two eyefuls. If you turned around at any moment, it was three.
Oh thanks, sprite! I dealy love my son and we often get on well, but I seem to have a talent for saying the wrong thing and irritating him. Example -- he;s fine art photographer and today posted a beautiful and fascinating photo of a flock of waterbirds on a beach. I hinted that National Geographic might appreciate it. His reply was that a surgeon is not expected to perform for free, or words to that effect. My dear and very talented son earns no money with his art.
so that's two blue eyes, and a brown eye...right?
you got it, rose, lol
Lol...hazel eyes
oh dear... well, if you get a chance, tell him I said he is darn well lucky to have you! And to have a mother who cares and is interested in him and all he does.
Jilli, I see nothing wrong in what you said to him at all
Me neither jilli
I have skype now but don't know how to use it -- and no camera on this desktop computer although there's one on the laptop which I never use. But oh goody, I've had messages for "General Petraeus" and some other "General"...
nothing at all. If he is that squeamish, he can send it to NG under a fake name :P
under Settings you can arrange you only get Skype from friends, jilli
off I go. Think of me, dear friends. *hugs*
you know we will! hugs and best wishes Sprite
Good luck
I asked him how he can get sales to NG if he stays away from them. No reply. But poor guy -- he is hopeless at self-promotion and won't hear of getting an agent. I am to be silent.
He says he is "not a fan" of NG.
not much else you can do Jilli if he wont take your advice to help himself
theres more then NG out there paying for photos
Yet he gives away his work all the time -- building sets for his wife's school play productions, taking photos of her cast, all for free. He writes (briliiantly) reviews for photography magazines -- for no pay. His website is there for all to see (http://www.davidevansphotography.com/\n) for free. But he does have a point, that little credit is given to such art, and lots of people rather expect it to be available at no cost. Collectors of photographs are rare still.
He is not into commercial photography.
It sounds like he does n't give a flock jilli
Oh, he does, very much, ruru. He cares very deeply. Just has no sales ability -- there's a reason in his past I won't go into here.
does he want pay for what he does or is it just a hobby he loves doing
Waits for the groans
Waits for the groans
pug, it's not a hobby -- it's his passion and profession -- that's the point. I think he feels that submitting a photo to NG would label him as an amateur hobbyist, which he is not, He has been a teacher in a university workshop and had has several exhibitions and even has something in Canada's National Gallery.
He has had a lot of very bad luck.
ruru, would groan if i understood, maybe it's a cultural joke/pun. you know i laugh/groan at your puns.
wow Jilli, thats something to be proud of to say the least. I understand where you are coming from.
He also has an extremely high IQ as established by a top authority -- in the top 1%. Go figure. But there is a reason for his inability to use it --as I said, not for discussion here.
Enough. He is my one and only and I love him and enjoy him and this doesn't belong here -- sorry.
S
Sorry, ru, didn't register your flocking punny remark.
okay, jilli....it's all fine
I know where the high IQ came from
my dad, my mother and my two grandads, ruru -- witha smattering of hubby's lot
a
g'day marigold
hah, just saw the volcano
yay, jilli, nice one
hi rose and everyone
it always lurks, doesn't it?
you'd think its eruptions would be a bit more visible, lol!
well at least louder...
Hi Marigold
I think marigold is lurking
yes that is me lurking
hi marigold ;)
hi
one word to go for nbt (my goal for tonight) -- an ra*** and pl(?) -- any clues available?
ra + small flying rodent thing. then plural.
ty Dachef
religiously obscure that word
hellooo dachef and scouser...
faba
tyvm dachef -- NBT and bedtime -- goodnight/day and good luck all...*poof
oops good thing it wasnt a word. Hello grannyrose and dachef
night, jilli, sweet dreams, hun.
night Jilli
hi all
Hi Joso, feeling better
hellooo, joso. how is my *almost* main man? been swimming yet?
oh yah, just too much bad food, like a kid after the fair. Sometimes it's hard to keep up the pretence of being a grownup
and what gives it away, joso?
going on a junk food binge
that's not related to age, mate...
especially as a diabetic
discipline
maybe it's a low daftness quotient
was you wanting to make yourself sick on purpose,Joso
morning o-o
hehehe, no, just wanted chips and ice cream
instant gratification came calling
BR, you know very well discipline is sometimes beyond our reach.
lucky you, joso. at least you are wanting something. at the moment, i desire nothing....not even himself. :(
why not, pain?
that and this blessed virus...feel very low
Living alone Joso that kind of stuff could be dangerous
yeah, pugs...no-one to say...wait a minute...you know that you can't have it...then again....sometimes it is good to lash out a little. notice joso binged on potato crisps..not too deadly
well it's past now pug. embarased to gather all this attention for just an upset tummy when there are people with serious problems
awww,bl;ess you, joso. you have probs the same as the rest of us. accept our support, mate.
Sorry you are low rose, DH also bummed out?
nah, he's further along than i am.
oh thats good, no man flue to attend
Rose is there alot of people with that virus there about you
don't know, pugs. i guess we may be among the first.
it's a strange time of year for a virus to rear it's ugly head.
we got a measel outbreak here right now
have you had measels pug
I dont remember, Joso--I know I had the mumps and chickenpox as a kid
yea, i had those as a kid too, loved it, get to stay home from school and people bring you comic books, lol
I remember having to stay in a dark room but dont know what I had during that time. But my mom was in bed too with whatever it was
ah, not the same thing without a mom to reassure, sorry pug. My mom was a nurse so immune to much
pug - you must have had red measles.
i had chicken pox as a kid. i remeber my mum closing off the doorway to my room with a "gate" to stop my baby brother from getting them...didn't work. lol
It could of been--too long ago and I was too young to remember much, we are talking 50* years ago
it was around easter time, and she put all my easter eggs in a beautiful cut-crystal bowl on my dressing table. it was months later, when she missed her bowl, that we realised where it was.
and where was it?
luck you didn't break it in the mean time
or you brothers
on my dressing table. she thought it was at her mother's. we searched our house upside-down looking for it.
lol...yeah, joso..at that time there was only the one...
do you have halloween there too
i wasn't allowed to eat a lot of chocolate at once. she thought i was allergic to it...
so the easter eggs lasted a loo-oong time.
how spaced out are your siblings. i came along, next bro next year, and the last 2 years after that. there was a period where we where mistake for triplets
pugs, we don't celebrate halloween as an australian festival here.
good morning!
morning Ruby
hi ruby
hmmm, bro after me was 4 years later, bro after him was another 3 years..the last two were another 4 years.
{{hugs}} my darling ruby!!!
all brothers?
were the last 2 twins
yup, and then i had 3 sons...
yes, pugs, one of the reasons i would not try for a 5th pregnancy.
were you a tomboy growing up or a girly girl
My friend, Deanne, is one of 12! Two sets of twins and one set of triplets, plus the others. And her mother, at 88, still plays golf. However, her father, who must have been tired, passed away a couple of years ago
nah, was a tomboy..climbed trees, walked through creek beds..
lol, ruby...i bet he was tired
{{poor rosie\]] with "girl flu"
thats alot of kids! Ruby
{{little pugs}}
{{joso}}
friend of mine has had babe number 11...
our youngest was supposed to be a girl, mom and dad felt they'd done the boy thing by then. didn't even pick out a boy's name for fear of jinxing it. boy did he suffer when we found out he was supposed to be nataly elisabeth.
awww, poor man
I got five sisters alive and two sister and two brothers that died as infants
just a kid at the time, now his soft spot is the fact that he grows hair on the tip if his nose and has to neet it.
so you both have much larger families than I
aww, joso, we are part of your family now...no matter what happens.
I think a brother would be nice to have
not me, I have one sister. She and I both married only sons and had only sons. Only sons are no joke!
i'll swap you, pugs.
and I did it twice!
okay Rose
and now THIS one wants his lunch
your son visiting Ruby
give him another campari...he'll never notice..lol
son was here in April and it didn't go so well. It's a little better now, but not great
Husband is driving me crazy
*woof*
double campari, then
bye Ruby--hugs
Rose, when is your next visit to the doctor for your leg
not til the 1st of october. am hoping to hear from workcover insurers before then
thats not far off and work seems to be dragging their feet on this
I'm wondering how mother mac and your sister-in-law are getting on. I have a wee mischievous side. any news from there?
strangely, no, joso. my guess my SIL is getting the run around. she is bringing her mother over for her social group tomorrow...
pugs, workcover are trying to make out this current injury is at least 50% because i had a total knee replacement. compleyely forgetting the wet floor, with no warning signs out.
doning whatever to not make it right is what it sounds like. Hope you dont settle for that
no way, pugs. am fighting this...
sheesh, sounds like insurance, public or private, lots of promises going in, don't answer the phone when it's time to collect. And it's naturally when you least want to fight that they put up these barriers.
Good evening all
morning Lyn
hi lynx
hi Rose, wasn't the ankle and then the knee all WC anyway?
good Rose--stand your ground on this--it wasent you at fault
yeah joso. as one of our senior supervisors said...she sees casa after case go through on workcover...and when it is one of our employees, they drag their butt.
absolutely, according to the workcover doctor. haven't heard anything since that appointment last thursday.
How are you Lyn
i had practically recovered from my total knee replacement...but if they want a fight...i will claim the tkr as a workcover injury. the heirarchy are forgetting i can still do that...
i am well within the 7 year limitation...
what is the tkr?
Total Knee Replacement...
....and you said you had a SIL who is in the 'business'? Thats great that you have that expertise on call.
I am very well Pugs...you?
same here with me Lyn
joso, i had 2 lots of surgery on my LEFT ankle due to a strerssfracrure which occurred at work. this caused me to favour the left ankle, and put more stress on the RIGHT knee. it wore out, bone on bone. i paid for the replacement myself.but if " they " want a fight...
lyn, my ex DIL is a medical lawyer.
are you on good terms with her rose?
yes, joso. she is backing me 100%
rose, is there a time limit on your claim
te7.32 for FM
7 years, pugs, but as they are all interwoven....
great rose,
lol, yeah, wouldn't want to be on the opposite side of the bench to her..
thats good--just hope its soon so you can go on about getting fixed and heal
the left ankle is an accepted given...
going to get dinner, brb. xoxox
bye Rose
enjoy Rose
good luck with it all rose, sounds like you have it all well in hand

hello everybody. anybody?
I never know what time it is as every clock in the house has a different time
(((ruby)))
Hi ruby, must be about 3:00 your time : )
9:00 am here
8:57 exactly
I only have one clock in the house that's correct (besides the computer)
my cable box always has the correct time.
right, Annie
right, Annie
we've had several minor power failures here and I never bother to reset the clocks
on the subject, does anyone still wear a watch? I haven't worn one in years - never needed it at work, and now, not at all
hello all. hi jbv
Name that proper noun...Middle Eastern country in the news now
ruby's off, setting her clocks : )
I still wear a watch, am lost w/o it
hi, TO!
Hi Owl
hi anniw
my husband needed a new cheapo watch with the day, date and time. Mistakenly, I sent him off to a department store to buy one and he came back with a 398 euro fancy watch.
syria
ding ding ding!!
Enfuriated, I went back to the store and got our money back. I think the saleswoman took advantage of his deafness and poor French.
jbv, weather is ni4 for a trip to paterson falls.
should that have been INfuriated?
I'mlosing my English
be back soon
you know, I've never been there TO .....

yes, infuriated, but Ruby, bravo to you for being able to speak French in anger
that's a high level of skill
good for you, ruby.
I was very quiet but scared the saleswoman anyway. I think she'd be fired for that in the US!
He was very upset, so I bought him a sweater.
: )
I think I speak much more French now than English unless my sister calls me
you can buy a ball point pen with a watch on it these days - no one needs a 400 euro watch
stats only for the y pls? ty
ya 5
ty
ruby, do you dream in French? I'm dreaming in Italian these days
He had a Chinese-made one with a rubber wristband but doesn't know how to work the buttons. I'll go with him tomorrow and see if I can find another
ya5! got it!
Good day to all.
hi scrabs.
hi Scrabbler!
Buon giorno, mia amica!
Sometimes I do, but it depends on the cast of characters, frequently actors from films or TV. Luckily for everybody, I never remember my dreams as I know how boring other people's dreams are
hello scrabs
my own dreams are not boring : )
hahah
I have a very vivid, detailed dream life. I call it the Lynda Channel.
I have a lot of dreams about dead loved ones -- they always make me happy
me too scrabbler -
Do either of you write them down?
it's interesting to see the patterns in dreams - what you're really thinking
yes, ruby, I started doing that when I was a young child, stopped for many many years and started doing it again
I find it very useful
I do not write them down. I should. I have a recurring dream about living in a particular house.
What's your method of remembering them. Mine evanesce immediately
don't wake up immediately - linger in the dream state
don't wake up immediately - linger in the dream state
And once I had a dream of the most beautiful church. I want to visit it again.
keep a pad next to the bed
I think writing them down is a wonderful thing to do, mostly for yourself
Lucid dreaming is something I have done since childhood.
Sometimes I wake up laughing, having heard a joke in the dream, but never remember
of course, ruby - no one else would want to read it - probably have to censor some of them : )
better than crying
I love when I dream about my long-deceased mother or gransmother
yes, they come right back to you -

Yep, he is a honey. Last week he enjoyed the slides at the little kid playground. He would get to the bottom, squealing, then flip over and try to climb back up. Only 14 months old.

stressful day here
hi hursh
hi
inte
marty, my cat who's been sick, started having these twitches last night, his brain giving his body shocks, every minute or so.
oh no, that's not good...poor kitty
i thought this meant this would be the end for him but apparently it MAY be nothing more than an electrolyte imbalance... will know more tomorrow when we see blood results
but they were asking about his appetite so now i'm feeling all anxious about that too and waiting for him to go eat
nothing worse than being on wait and watch duty...hope it's just an imbalance and easily fixed
thanks i hope so too!
i'm just sitting here
i couldn't go to work but i did do some at home
i don't want to read
i've found the easy wrods
i don't want to do anything but i need to pass the time
it's such a conundrum when everything drives you crazy
oh hursh, sorry you are having to go through this, and your kitty too!
thanks
gee where is everyone today
well i managed to finish... forced myself to do it... passed yet more time... still going crazy though... later all
Everyone took their toys and went home.
seems so, Molly
Hi Flosey : )
hi all! Taking a break from organizing...
Organizing?
My desk at home is a mess.
Ah yes, mine tends to be a "catch all".
and there i thought you were doing community organizing
When I cleaned out my office at work, I dumped a lot of stuff randomly at home; time to make sense of it.
hi all
hi jmc!
sorry i missed hursh
Yes, me too. Dashed all my hopes of Sue in The White House.
she may be a little old to start that bunny trail. . . of course ronnie made it . . . sorta
hahaha, molly!
I am a little old and a lot not interested - leaving the public office-holding to Frank (who is on the county board)
good for him
i admire people who can stand the BS required to serve in elected office
Okay, I'll take Frank in your place. Anything would be an improvement over the current resident.
he actually likes it
hello all....can someone give me stats for the y please?
ya5/16

I wouldn't necessarily mind serving but I have no interest in the election process - pretty awful

I didn't mind campaigning for Frank, though...

Hi, everyone! It has been SO long since I spoke to you!
hello, back once more
Hi, Annie!
Don't know where everyone else went!
Hi Mimi, Are you tolerating the heat?
Just barely...supposed to be 108 this weekend....really..it IS September!
Wow. I remeber years ago it was 104 in NYC and I thought that was the end. lol
It just gets worse every year. I can't go anywhere or do anything because I take the bus and it's just too darn hot to walk to and from the bus stops in this heat.
Thank goodness I have Safeway.com delivering my groceries!
Are you still working from home?
Yes...love the good doc but still cannot understand the alien chipmunk doc...going to have to tell my boss I just won't do her anymore and she may not keep me but it's too stressful and my reputation as well as legal liability are involved.
Just stopped in on a break from work....gotta get back. HAGD.

Well, he had a good run and lots of folks cheering for him.

hi welki, cyber, 0-0, and penquis
Hello, Jj
ohh, there was a stockard ch movie i remember as being pretty intense, even though it was meant to be funny (i think) - she was a dowdy gal, was dumped by a chorus line of guys, was in an accident and paid them back in spades
(after she'd had plastic surgery and ended up a 'beautiful' person)
Kind of a versatile actress
i always thought she was beautiful
al 5/14, please?
Anyone have the ch6?
Muhamed ***+knitting with **rn
ty jilly

Hi there, Rose.
How are you feeling?
not bad, just got in from doing the shopping. so a bit pooped. and you, hun?
Other than a headache.....OK. I've had this darned thing for about 6 days now....think it is weather related.
How is mother Mac, today?
mother mac was admitted to hospital last night. her daughter, against my advice has been feeding her mother sugar filled foods since last saturday.mother m isn'tdiabetic, but the bug in her lungs flares up as it thrives on sugar.
Oh, my word! I am sorry to hear that, Rose.
wow, how stupid can someone be
peach, i am sorry mother mac is ill, but her daughter just has to learn for herself what happens when you don't control mother's sugar intake.
just when I think I've heard the daftest thing another boob comes along to top it
ummmm, pretty stupid, apparently. daughter was up until 1:30am in the emergency room.
gee whiz, GR. And I thought some of my relatives were obtuse
and hello
Would she listen to the doctor? I feel sure he would not approve of that.
how about listening to the long term caretaker whom is also a long term nurse
i have told her and told her. she just won't listen. the doctor's....that's another kettle of fish, they don't see the co-relation between mother mac's flare-ups and her diet.
*rolls eyes in disgust*
it's enough to make you tear your hair out....
how are you and DH?
back again
hey nan
DH still coughing his lungs up. i'm trying to stand back and allow him to take control. he knows what to take, it's there beside him
*sigh*
me...well i went out and did the grocery shopping, so am a bit pooped. broke out in a sweat carrying the bags in. but at least i'm not coughing.
good evening everyone.
hey nef
hi nef
so here i sits...hello nef and nan
hi stid, joso, and granny.
Granny, do you have that nasty cold or flu virus that seems to make everyone (that I know of, anyway) cough so hard they just want to blow out a lung and die? It's a miserable bug this year....
Hey there, Nef.
hi peach
yes nef. and it attacks the kidneys too, dehydrates you overnight.
I've been so tired lately that I sit down at the computer and fall asleep before I get to Babble or my email!
(((nef)))
by 6, please?
(((grannyrose and family))) It's a miserable one this year
nef, anyone who you know that is coming down with it, needs to drink heaps of fluids.
by + e**** and burt
nan, by + bert and e****
* giggle * great minds joso
or grans, lol
I have virus #2 in less than a week... *sigh* all I want to do is te5! So I go in later than I have to and spend my time at home just resting.
ty rose
thanks for the by word!
I think it's going to be a rough year for viruses around here.
just keep the fluids happening....can recommend a really good bourbon and lemonade.
hm. no hard liquor in the apartment any more... but I have lemons.
you do realise it is the wrong season for colds and flu over here? that's what makes this so weird.
*looking pitifully at Tom*
viruses don't really know seasons...
ooohhh, home-made lemonade....fell in love with that on our last cruise.
I know! But it seems as though even drinking a river never seemed to quench my thirst when I had it last spring. And stud; do you think that the te5ing is what exposed you to the viruses? I've been told the first years of te5ing and the first years of attending school are when a person is sicker than any other time in their lives.
throw them at him....
I am CERTAIN it was the kids... one of them was absent four days last week with the first virus I had (it was worse than this one). Not sure which little darlin' shared the current one with me.
any clues for the hy, please?
(Dang spellcheck! It won't accept stid so switches it all of the time!
hy alt spelling for laughing dog
And I have been in the schools for well over a decade now -- I won't be as bad off as most people just entering schools. But one of the school secretaries today suggested I am stressed out (yes, in a good way, I am) and I know that lowers the immune system a lot.
hy + 2 vowels + not nasty, but ***e
*laughing at GR's clue* "pun" intentional
