flosey I guess you didn't see my previous remark, that one of our bridge players is here -- Ol 4/5 (not a babble word)
ruru, that ol4 was directed only at flosey
ah, yes, sorry, missed him
thx, rbud, monkeyed my way to it finally
maybe there isn't an ol4/5, but there's a 5/12

Hi all
Well i havent played babble ina while
how u all doing
we're still here, lol! how's life?
Good you?
not bad enough to complain at the moment, so I guess that's good. :)
Lol
What have u been up to latly
still remodelling, had some minor medical stuff, seems to be working out. Took my ma out today for her 83rd bday, we had fun.
Happy bday!
Were did u take her
she doesn't get out much, a little drive in the country makes her pretty happy these days.
plus she got to come out here and see the remodelling progress, she'd been wondering about it.
and a big wad of pink carnations, and she's happy.
A drive in the country can make anyone happy the crountry is beautifull place and were in america do u live
oh, just here in rural Illinois, but it's pretty around us, lots of hills, trees, small lakes and the Illinois river. Not so much all corn and bean fields.
Sounds like a lovely treat for you mother, rbud. I'm sure you made her day very special.
rbud, sounds like a lovely time with your Mom.So happy for you that it was so nice for you both............Hi ya rocky--long time no see
I live in maryland
of course she's constantly on guard for deer, or worrying about every noise the truck makes on rough spots in the road, things like that... but I'm used to that.
hi pug it has been a long time how have u been
Ive been good...you out of school
I'm in my second month of the new school year so no
Hows school going for you
although i have holiday break for the jewish festivals
Chag sameach rocky!
Its going good
Which just means Happy Holidays
how do you know that word
lol
Hi ya Liz, how are you today
No tricks Rocky! The obvious way!
Thats a very jewishy word
Good thanks Pugs. Glad we're getting to the end of the Jewish holiday season. Too much food. Lots of weight to lose!
dont you have thanksgiving and x-mas coming up?
Lol i know what u mean
No, I don't celebrate those!
Thanksgiving is a US holiday.
do you have halloween there
Yes - kids come knocking on the doors!
do you dress up to hand out candy
Sometimes. I have a witch's hat with long silver hair. If I remember, I get it out. Used to put on green make up too!
All left over from fancy dress at school!
I usually go to my sisters in town and dress up and put on spooky music to hand out goodies
My father would give apples cuz we are jewish and he didnt want kids coming for candy on a holiday we dont celebrate
It worked
out here in the country we dont get any tricker-treaters
It was never big in England, where I grew up. We don't get many in our street now, which I'm happy about.
Clever of your dad, Rocky.
the darn candy is so high here and it keeps going up
Yup the only clever thing he did in life
when I was a kid going out most of the elderly made their own treats--like cookies or popcorn balls. Not much of that today
finally done
That's a really nice thing to do but I bet many kids today wouldn't appreciate that!
congrats ru :)
w2g Ru
god.. the last three took foooooorever

yesterday's gr4!
Iam wondering if Rose had her surgery---shes not on
you aren't gonna believe some of the c's
Only have 8 of them so far.
She was meeting with friends today, pug. It's only 4.30 here so I hope she's still out having fun.

Liz, have you seen Peach on? I havent seen her for several mornings
Think I saw her briefly yesterday - I've been so busy and just dipping into babble, that I've probably missed lots of people.

hi pig
hi pug, sorry
Hi Joso, name calling already? lol
typo yobo thats what they call me
cooee...
:D--Have missed you---hugs
ohh, hugs right back at you, hun. i have had a lovely day.
Iam so happy for you!
Hi Rose and pugs again :)
you sure have needed that
Delighted you had a good day, Rose.
wb Liz
have drunk sooo much coffee, all freshly ground, so that is okay.and for lunch i had the most delicious omelet, filled with 3 types of cheese.
Any news about the dreaded s word?
hey ya liz, girl. how are you?
Love cheese omelettes!
mmm, that sounds good
Relaxed as ever Rose!
and pugs, i hope you are doing well today.
and pugs, i hope you are doing well today.
no word on surgery. will have to call monday afternoon. too late now.
yes Iam just fine--or was until Joso called me a pig--lol
Gotta love auto correct!
naughty joso, will have to put him over my knee....then again, he might enjoy that
They're messing you around! No privileges for medical staff then?
liz, it's the workcover insurance people.
What man wouldn't enjoy that?
************** many nasty words go through mind about insurance!
*giggle* you have the same probs with chog as me? slow to enter chat?
Yes it's been slow all afternoon.
pugs, you having probs. entering chat?
not going over nobody's knee
Spoil sport!
awww, spoil sport
when I first got on I had a couple freeze ups but thats been all
whoot, liz, snap
Great minds...
Hey joso, you've upset Rose!
Rose, Liz has been over there hogging all the good foods
yeah, joso, you've upset me....lololol
Lol
because I refuse to stress her knee, some people just don't appreciate when their friends ore looking out for them
and here I thought he liked games or thats what hes told us all along
NOT THE POPCORN!!! never the popcorn, she wouldn't dare...
Great thing being Jewish. Most celebrations revolve around food!
better than popcorn!
Popcorn! Caramel?
Or should I say toffee?
mmm now your talking
lollygobble bliss bombs....*sigh* haven't seen them in years
Like gobstoppers???
hope thats not some kind of grasshopper dish
candied popcorn balls
no, liz. popcorn covered in toffee with peanuts in the toffee. have been known to eat an entire box all by myself.
Sounds yummy!
My grandma made the best popcorn balls
love popcorn, in any shape or form.
my mom made some once to give away for halloween, only about half ever got out of the house
Less keen on salted, so won't fight you for that but wouldn't say no.
Rose have you ever bought some from the store and mic it on low for a few sec? it soften it and its so much yummier
hmmm, sounds like an interesting idea, pugs. must try it when i am allowed to eat it again.
but what have you against chocolate covered grasshoppers pug.... mmmmmm chunchy
good grief, liz, total fire ban in your area tomorrow.
never have had them and dont care to either nor ants either
lol
you having a drought Liz
Yes! It's been hot and pretty windy today. Tweed has had total ban for last week.
that's okay, pugs. i draw the line at witchety grubs here.
Had rain for one day in last 2 months.
we had a drought last summer and the one before it
No drought yet but pretty dry here.
still raining most days down here...
Nasty!
are you in summer Rose or another season
just looked as some witchety grub pix, I think that's a fine line to draw rose
oh, and you'll never guess what!!
hospital putting mother mac into rehab for 2 weeks.
only bugs or worms I would eat are the gummy kind
good, that will give Don time to get well
pugs, supposed to be spring...
That's good news. More of a break for you and don :)
we just went into fall
thats great rose, everybody gets a chance to fully recover
And more time to build up your strength.
Joso is your seasons the same as mine
yes, pugs. i just want him well, too. if he remembers to take the cough mixture i bought, the cough isn't too bad.
that a plus! and maybe you can get your surgery and be about well by her return too
yes, probably a bit cooler but close enough
now that would be nice....dream on, pugs
you need some rehab time after surgery don't you rose, no hopping up and doing cartwheels right away
well sometimes dreams do come true!
And no running about after m-I-l!
joso, i'll be up, weight-bearing the next day.
surely not back to work though
are they keeping you in the hospital for a few days
wow, i would have thought they would want some healing before using knee again.
so, it needs light exercise to heal usefully, and weight bearing as soon as possible
no, pugs, this time i can take it easy about returning to work. and joso, i was up the next day, following a total knee replacement.
yes, joso, we know exercise increases the blood supply, which increase the rate of healing.
thats really surprising, a good thing though, better than being laid up for weeks.
yup, and as soon as the wound is healed, and i get the okay from the surgeon, i will be back in the hydrotherapy pool.
Is there much pain, when I had minor chest surgery I was surprised how much it hurt to use my arms. Amd it turns out I use my arms for just about everything
not this time, joso. only skin pain, no bone pain. i can handle skin pain.
just what are they going in to do, Rose
after the total knee, yes it was painful. i know what to expect now, and how to tell the nurses how to help me get up.
pugs, in the top of the tibial prosthesis is a plastic disc, which the femoral prosthesis sits on. surgeon going to replace plastic disc with a thicker one, so that the femoral prosthesis will not be able to slip.
only other surgery I've ever had was tonsils as a kid. Remember feeling totally ripped off. Promises of endless ice cream, but they don't tell you you don't want to eat anything, by the time you want the ice cream it's too late, the offer has expired. lol
did you damage the one you have in the fall?
What do they promise you rose, endless cabana boys to chase, whom evaporate just as you are making good speed
pugs, i slipped on a wet floor at work. my foot skidded backwards, and i fell onto my knee, then my leg skewed out to the side. that tore the ligament which holds your knee in alignment.
did you just damage the one knee
that sounds painful just reading about it
joso, what a bummer, dude! robbing a kid of his ice-cream!! well, really, what were they thinking?
My thoughts exactly, they said I was fine now, tried to suppon up a cough but it just wasn't there
*summon
well, once i had the splint on, i tr5 walking around at work. but the splint made me favour my right leg, which put strain on my left ankle. which had major joint surgery about 5 years ago. it was fully recovered, but now i have soft tissue injury there because of how i walk with the splint on.
the obvious solution this time was to repair the ligament. but the surgeon and i both know that is out of the question, as my ligaments are too old to repair.
so now this upcoming surgery is going to cause to repeat putting more pressure on the bad ankle, then what? A surgery to repair that?
maybe no splint this time, crutches or walker as things heal instead?
pugs, we are hoping that with this surgery i will be able to walk normally again. i will be walking with crutches for some time.
need a refill--brb
good morning
hey ruby
{{hugs}} to my favourite ruby.
just set me into platinum and I'll be gorgeous!
poor Rose! Going through these knee miseries repeatedly!
rose gold, ruby, rose gold
joso, you should have grown up with e. My father had a candy store with a fountain and I had ice cream, as much as I could want, and a malted EVERY day. He even let me scrape out the huge cardboard vats of my favorite flavors.
see??? rose and ruby together, aren't we gorgeous together?
you betcha, rosie!
When I was in 1st grade, 5 yrs old, we had a class "field trip" and the whole class walked to our store, close to a mile away, and my father gave all the kids ice cream and candy.
ruby, that reminds me of when the parents owned a local store. they sold orange juice with crushed ice in it. delish on a hot day.
and they had a huge walk in refrigerator. i would sit in there, on a crate of soft drink, sipping iced orange juice.
back--morning Ruby--hugs
{{pubs}}
goodie, now the whole ch*** is here!
hope you are feeling better today
should he4 + li4 be a word? eeew
tr5 it, ruby...:(
I tr5 it twice for good luck, too bad there's no hyphen
darn, watching a house rescue, and the signal has gone down, just as they are removing the scaffolding. *sigh*
is that due to heavy rains there
not sure, pugs. it is back for now.
do you have a porch on your house, Rose? I miss having a porch and a swing
we have a brick verandah. it has a 'park' bench on it. and out the back, we have built a timber deck, where we can sit on warm nights.
except for not having half (close) or the 2nd column a or the 8, I've met my (modest) goals
pugs, it's a little better today, but I got conflicting advice from the two lawyers nd DH is no help; he's leaving everything up to me
good for you Ruby
ooohhh, ruby the 8 is so easy. plural the sewing machine, before the electric version
but there's no p, rose, lol
ai5, ai4
aaah, it's t!
just take you time to think things through Ruby.
ruby, begins with tr
Back again before dinner. Hi Ruby and hugs :)
I dont have it either
{{lizlin}}
ty, rosie
that's because you're too young, pugs
Ruby - I know I've been out of contact - been really busy with all the festivals etc - been reading though about the tough time you're having :(
knew you would get it, ruby. i have my grandmother's machine, restored, in my entrance hall.
my mother had one
you must have been the most popular kid in the neighborhood ruby, sorry to leave, saw an e-mail and thought i would just dodge out for a brief response.
i learnt to sew on it...all the clothes i made my first born were made on it.
she used to make little frilly aprons for all my elem school teachers with a lace-trimmed pocket in the shape of a maple leaf because our last name was Lief
sweet, ruby. what a lovely gesture!!
Hit a wall now with 45 left!!! Perhaps i should leave them til tomorrow!
everybody, except my older sister, loved the candy store, and I worked there from the age of 7, as soon as I was tall enough to use the cash register lol
I was very lucky, had wonderful parents
*giggle* me too, but my parents get saying, rose, we want you to keep talking while serving the sweeties.
was your store here in the states,Ruby
me too, didn't realize how lucky that was untill years later
yes, pugs, it was in Queens
you dont see many candy stores any more or not here abouts
hard to picture you as the wallflower rose
yes, I think the old soda fountains are long gone
is your store still there
I haven't been back to the neighborhood since my dad died and that was in 2001
i'll have you know joso, i was a very shy, reserved ch5...
not me, lol
making up for it now....lol
well it is a bit of a trip for you nowadays rudy
uh oh, have to go and see to mr. personality
in spades rose
none of your other siblings took over the store
okay Ruby, have a nice day
c u l8r ruby
he sold it when I was 12 and the later owners sold it and it became a liquor store or something
bye rubs, have a good one
*woof*
Im down to 58
i suffered absolute agonies when asked to speak publically, as in school drama classes. but put me in a tutu, and could have danced all night...
havent been working it due to talking-lol
I never did like that either Rose and never owned a tutu
down to 123, can't chat and work grid at the same time.
I'm mostly a wallflower to this day rose
My skin matched my hair, Iam sure when I had to go before the class for reporting
it was quite strange. i loved to dance sooo much, looved the music, looved the atmosphere. never saw the audience until the piece was over.
I find that hard to grip-joso
did you take ballet classes Rose
oh for goodness sake....they are reporting global warming as a major disaster. documented evidence shows this is a normal cycle.
yes, dear pugs. i was qualified to either enter the australian ballet company or teach. nursing called louder.
has your weather there been abnormal Rose
true none the less pug, always reading, dicovered games as a teen, made friends over the gameboard that I have to this day. A game gives you something to do instead of awkward conversational pauses
are you sorry for the choice you made
not really pugs...yes it is warmer, but it is a normal cycle, well documented.
dinner ready. will chat later if you are here. xoxox
a doubter of global warming rose?
I was always a big reader too
okay Rose---enjoy
I think I read every horse and dog story at several libraries about the area
enjoy rose, later
an animal lover from day one huh
I think I was born one
think Iam going to take a break and come back later if I get time-----Have a good night/day Joso...hugs
ok pug, later
back...joso not a doubter, just pointing out it is a perfectly normal cycle...not something we as occupants of this planet have caused. not a thing to panic about.
having had my controversial say, will leave...lolol happy babbling
li
a clue for the 1td de 5/18 - please.
*1st
got it.
hello
anybodyhome
yay ruby...you back, hun?
hello dianne
nanette, you still here?
ex4,10?
got it. thx
g'day alleyn
gm, everyone!
gm all
and hellooo ibd
gm, Alleyn, Howdy, GR!
lovely to see you, hun. how are you?
OK - STRUGGLING WITH 13 YEAR OLD GRAND-DAUGHTER DIAGNOSED WITH FIBROMYALGIA.
apologies for capitals
I'm doing well, GR. has a surgery date been set?
Oh dear, Alleyn, check out some of the fbro support groups, they will have some ideas on how to help as well as what NOT to do.
awww, alleyn. so difficult to deal with as an adult...doubly hard for a ch5.
Yes we know about these but we gather than in the US it is used as a diagnosis that in the UK is often called a virus so we are trying not to use the net too much. She has a brilliant pain consultant but mentally she is not great.
ibd, still waiting, hun. will call workcover insurance people next monday.
alleyn, available from the us is a natural medication, called anatrin. it is the best thing i have found for FM. the company is called progressive health. just look, please.
the original medication my GP put me on, took me 12 weeks to get off. it was supposed to be non-addictive...
That looks like well worth a shot. She is currently taking Gabapentin which doesn't appear to be useful. My daughter will take some convincing to try a natural remedy on her daughter.......
alleyn, your grand-daughter is not producing seritonin, a mood stabiliser chemical. that is why she cannot handle what is happening to her body.
if you can, print out the info. it explains how each component works to help FM sufferers .
Will do that along with your input for which I am personally really grateful. Thank you.
the progressive health site has a 'contact us' link. you could ask them about dosage etc
Thank you so much. Knowledge is always good. How are you and when did you develop it.
all i know is that i now sleep most of each night, am pretty much pain-free, and no longer drug-dependent. mostly mood is stable. and could you suggest to your daughter that what may help her daughter is a japanese hot tub.
alleyn i have been diagnosed for about 10 years, have had it for over 30 years. the positive note for your grand-daughter is that she may 'grow' out of it.
We have fingers and toes crossed, grannyrose. Thank you so much for all this and the ch5 clue!
alleyn, take note of my email addy, in my profile. email me any time, put babble in subject, and i will know to respond.
it is so typical of FM to rear it's ugly he4 during puberty. there is lots of info around, and the more you acquaint yourself with it, the easier it is to deal with. good luck, hun, and know that my prayers are with you all.
my FM was initiated by early menopause...again a time of great hormonal turmoil.
i wonder if that med would work on headaches.
g'day ives. don't think so. do you know what the trigger is for your headaches?
morning granny.. i think its tension. rite in middle of forehead. then just gets worse. thinking of trying excedrin for tension
ives, pure rose oil is very good for tension. just rub a little on the inside of your wrists. it is expensive, but definitely worth a try. also have you tr5 chamomile tea?
or lavender oil is another option.
tadone!! finito!! must be off...time to get ready for work. hagd/evening everyone!
i will look into that. i take so many meds for diabetes that natural would be best ty
WTG IBD!!!
(((GRANNY))) take care! see ya'll tomorrow.
xoxox, ibd
Good day to all.

trying to get the 400 dollar payment voided
dumb question on my part but how did they hack you
That is bad.
Nigerins.
hello
I have nothing against Nigeria, but is the whole country full of 16 year olds who hack computers? They change passwords, access contacts and send out alarming e-mails

Hello Annie.
hi annie
Hi Scrabbler, Bobby just left for work
Jacula! Nice to see you
hi pink 17
I read Holy Genus - was wondering what on earth that could be - but TY Annie. Hello all
I was going to hike with a friend and her 2 dogs today. But she just called and now 4 of us will have lunch and go golfing.
stats for the third column first i please?
hi lynxxx
Hahaha, Holy Genus.
the dogs enjoy golfing?
2 words left to find, which is just as well because I have lots to do in the house.
ir4/5--adjective for part of eye
No, the dogs will now stay home and 2 people friends will join us. I am not excited about golfing because I do it so rarely, but this golf course is in the country and covered with hills and trees, so it will be beautiful.
irie
irid
quick hello to lyn. hope you are well, hun. also cooee to scrabs and mlf.
my neighbours 90 yo mother still plays golf 3 times a week - she is an excellent reason for playing it - looks and acts like a 70 yo
oops
sorry
hi Rose
oh, oh, and g'day to jac
Hi rose :)
FIREWORKS! *~*~*~* :)
*smiling* hello annie
Hooray for Jac!
it's so lovely to see you all
Hello, everyone!
WTG JACULA!!!
Sorry to cut and run - got laundry to do and a cheese, bacon & onion pie to make. Happy Babbling, all. xxx
morning, Mimi
Third column 2nd E stats please?
*calling Delta*
((Annie)) How are you?
and mimi....my goodness, i do declare...i really must stay up late more often.
ed4
Im fine, Mimi, has it cooled off in Arizona?
((rose)) So good to see you here...I've missed you! How are things with you?
el6
ev5
Hi Mimi.
i got ei4
Yes, Annie, we seem to have finally gotten cooler. I can actually open the windows in the morning and have cool air...every year the summer seems to be longer. They said we had the hottest summer on record here.
Rose - do you like Taking Shape? if so the warehouse in Abbotsford is having an excellent sale this weekend. >8 pieces - 40%
mimi, doing okay...waiting for okay for further surgery on knee. but managing well.
((Scrabbler)) Good thing your friend is leaving the dogs home...can you even imagine golfing with dogs?
Honestly, I would rather hike in the woods with 1 friend and 2 dogs. More peaceful than lunch and golfing with 4.
Oh, dear, rose...you certainly have been through it. Will keep you in my prayers.
one more for nbt... Top right corner T ?
lyn, arthur daly's warehouse has 4 pieces of clothing for $10. some of the pieces are miller's.
I absolutely agree, Scrabbler. I've never understood the fascination with golf. But it's fun taking dogs for hikes...much more entertaining.

scrabs, i have an issue with golf...how do i address the ball? as sir or madame?? lololol
I read somewhere that we have the most golf courses in the country here in Arizona. Since water is an issue here, many have built their own system using effluent...much more practical.
got it
I still don't get prior clues for tr8 -- a sewing machine word. Further clue, please?
clue for the 8 please then have nbt nad nbs
besides the fact, my aim is very bad...
You could always address the ball as "dimples!"
t + use a book + french for 'the'
power to run the sewing machine comes from your foot
that's the tr7, past tense for tr8
I don't know French

Hi Bichon!
This is a mega tough grid
Oh dear....
Moved right on through this grid ... guess the degree of difficulty is relative.
So many vowels....
vi 5/24 is an acceptable word?
hi, all. A short while ago, I posted here about our new kithen range and what a challenge it has een to learn to use the cooktop, which is glass/ceramic. I am happy to say we have been doing quite well with it. I am getting rid of some of our old pots and pans, but we have replaced those with new pieces from Le Creuset...pricey, but very high-quality.
apparently.
Hi Angel! Glad to hear it is working out.
it has been like learning to cook again, but I am quite happy with utm and keeping it clean has been fairly easy.
Clue for the ha5/12?
Don't have it, but will look.
ha 5 is Hawaiian word for outsider
Ty, Bichon! Fireworks!
Yes it is! TY Bichon!
Wahoo! Congrats Judi!
yvw car
Not to be confused with "cracker".
and judy
...or "yankee".
the vi 5/24 is familiar to historians as the seat 1940-44 of the Fr. government formed under Nazi occupation headed by Pétain.
Oooh! TYVM o-o!

nm..I have it already. DOH!
so sorry, don't have it
lol
:)
last ex 6, please?
nm - found it
waiting for my daughter and granddaughter to show up. They are home from Japan.
wow! quite a trip.
Well the trip was an emergency one. They thought my gdaughter had a tumor in her back, and it was making her spine grow crooked
oh, gosh
phae - I have the vi5/24 pertaining to a french rule... what is the other?
Turns out it wasn't a tumor, but an infection in her T5 vertebrae. Japan has socialized medicine and she would have had to wait months for surgery. Over there they use chemo for tumors even if they are benign
really! i wonder why.
So they flew her to San Diego, and she had the surgery the day after she got there. Nwo they are here in the states waiting for the rest of the family to join them
I wish her well.
Glad she got treated.
there is only vi5/24 and vi5/20 kje

I can't find the tr6 which has been clued over and over
hi zooz
Hello, Ruby :-)
Thanks to you too, Bichon as i too now have the other ch7/40..i would not of looked if you had not of mentioned it :-)
Hello, Bichon :-)
tr6 word for three + high value tile + who are you?...show me some form of **
tr6 - start of the threesome plus a poem
evening all
Sory mine was for the TR7
Hello, Glant :-)
ty for the tr7, never would have got that - hi Zooz
hello glanta
hi ruby
hi Glant. Have you been away?
Not away bichon, just busy or kurking. Mum's been ill, so have been there a lot again but I think it's all getting better now, she's been diagnosed with heart problems but the medication is really helping with the general apathy
i am flying to the US on 9th Oct - 6 days in Stamford, 3 in NY, 8 in Wisonsin :-)
ou will be about 1 hour and a half from me Glant when you are in Stamford. Visiting family
i am there for the art-is-you retreat in the sheraton
Am unfamiliar with what that is Glant. but, watch out for moose in Connecticut. There've been lots of spottings
ther's a moose loose about this hoouse :-)
dhole
Damn...sorry everyone.
I am guessing I won;t really leave the hotel Bichon - will get there veyr late Wednesday - travelling form La Guardia to Stamford by train - and leave by train on the following Monday evening
i had thta one Zooz
zooo...... may i please have another?
:-)....you trying to get me into trouble, Sammysmom lol
Uh oh Glant. Big problem with the trains going to Stamford.
i need all the help i can get heh heh and if you are sent to the pb, i will be there with choklit from fantasy candy and jug of merlot
and my home make pea soup and pumpernickle bread
what is the problem bichon?
well...now that is very tempting..teehee.
Electrical cable out and there won't be any electic trains going to Stamford for weeks. One diesel train per hour. Won't be too bad if you are going on off peak hours
quite fancy joining you in the PB now
good to know bichon, may spend the money on alternative transport - think it's $50 to go by some kind of shared taxi thing
There's probably a shared taxi doing directly from LGA to Stamford. I would make reservations before hand
that's the thing - the shared taxi service, just don;t know how to find out more about it or reserve it
let me look and send it to you by email. What is your email address?
adigondda @ gmail.com
thank you
just sent it, my address is muffinbiscuit@gmail.com
thanks, crumbs, $60 one way of $113 round trip...
yes, it's expensive. That's why we take the train or drive.
Help, please, for the first De5,18
Not sure what the distance you are traveling by taxi, Galnt, But here on the isle of wight it is about €20 for 9-10 mile trip.
NM, got it
DE + what we breathe.
That was the De5,12 -- which I didn't need
Yes i realize that now..sorry, Erda.
No problem
de + *** me a river, etc
I'm not sure what the distance is Zooz, and I never travel by taxi normally, but with luggage after a 20 hour journey I'm willing to pay if it makes that last hour or so easy!
de + makes tears.. no earworm for this clue
hi everyone.. logging in to sweep up the ones I couldn't find earlier
I think Erda already got it.
It's not a private taxi, but a shared one
shared is fine
...which I no longer need anyway. Some of you have very long fuses...
And good clue anyway, Zoom. : )
oh, ok.. I'm slow
How were you going to get to Metro North train from lGA?
Hello, Aloy & Molly :-)
howdy zooz
i understood there to be a bus to 125th/harlem metro station?
I now have a fresh cup of tea & chocolate rolls..i am sorted for a while..lol
yumm, zooz
Okay, didn't know that. What time are you ariving at LGA
9.30 pm
i have sent the limo company an email asking if they have a service that meets my neds
*needs
If it's that late, then I would think there wouldn't be a mad crush to get on a diesel train that stops in Harlem. 125th street is the second stop, coming from Grand Central Station.
Let me see if I can find out the diesel schedule and i will email you
thanks Bichon
19 left and starving hungry - off to make dinner
bye, Giant
Enjoy your meal, Glant.
oops, Glant i.e., sorry

howdy everyone:)) ((sprite)) do not often see you on at this time of day:))
hiya crossy! No, I normally play in my mornings. But was gone all day, so this is a late treat. Lovely to see you!
:)))
hi all!
hi mael!
I've been MIA for a long while, been feeling too gross for chatting
am glad to see you, mael. What makes you feel so gross?
pregnancy, fortunately! If everything goes well I'll have a baby in April :)
oh wowwwww! Congratulations! And try and feel beautiful, I am sure you are.
the nausea is slowly but surely going away, so I feel like a million bucks at this point
and thanks, I'm really excited :)
howdy, mael
hi crossy!
no wonder :) Something to be very excited over. May the rest of your pregnancy be nausea-free and go smoothly.
here's to hoping!
will hold you in my thoughts and prayers, mael.
my beloved enjoyed her pregnancy once the nausea state was gone.her hair became lustrous and grew fast with no split ends her nail grew out perfect as a lady liks on occasion and her skin was so pimple free and flawless it was almost glowing(crossy love the big jumbo size firm boobies) she did take materna vitamins all the way through
lol my love was crazy about my big boobies too. Men... :)
here's to hoping for that too, crossy! My boobs are definitely enormous, but they are look and don't touch for now. Ow. Poor husband. :)
*giggles* Wait until the milk production starts and you remove your bra for feeding... I always sprayed all around and all over the poor little babies.
hahahaha
I will keep those dangers in mind! It's my first kid so I'm... learning as I go
oh yes, I remember how that is. Quite an adventure. Best advice I can give is: trust your instincts and trust your child.
Can we stop talking about boobies now??!!!!
but boobies are the best!
:D
It's getting me quite excited.....lol
*grin* Sowwy....
haha :)
as sprite says, they we huge, perfectly formed and upright and proud with flawless skin..but i could not touch them..to sore they were
lol, got a text message on my mobile phone... that I have won 1 miljoen english pounds in a lottery! And I didn't even participate. Isn't that miraculous...
i get those all the time, sprite
very irritating, those phishing things.
indeed
well well well--hi sprite and crosshair
pug! *hugs*
one of them made a mistake of choosing a address 3 blocks away from my uncle in london,so i emailed him and asked if he would like my uncle to come and pick up the cheque for me lol
howdy, puglet
hi puglet
roflollll good one crossy
just dropped in to try and finish up on this
lucky me, pug :)
Hi mael and friends
I was thinking that for myself
I had no doubt about you shining at your farewell
it went very well. I felt strong and steady through it all.

how are you and Missus Elegant doing, crossy?
you are so much stronger then you give yourself credit for
I hope so, pug... will need it at the clinic.
I think they will need YOU at the clinic
*giggles* Nah, they are doing very welll without me there.
do you know anything about cd players
a little bit
my cd player on my stereo has quit and I think the lazer light has gone phewy--can that be fixed
I should think so. Just make sure they tell you the price beforehand... to see if it isn't cheaper to buy a new one.
It was just fine and I went to turn it on and it wont play. Its a nice stereo and I hate to part with it--Ive only have had it 20* years--lol
lol I know the feeling.
I cant work with out jammin--lol
I hope you can get it fixed then :) Will keep my fingers crossed owejwj wewjaiw

Myself and my beloved are doing well , sprite. Crossy is having great fun in school

am so glad, crossy! And so proud of you.
yeah me too Crossy
its such a beautiful day here.In the low eighty with sunshine and light breeze
sounds very nice, pug. We were very lucky here too. All day long blue skies and sun, and nice temps for end of September.
Sounds nice, puglet:)
Like your new Icon Crosshair
looks halloweeny
am missing the crosshair on it though. Would fit nicely, a red one over the moon
I will return in a while.there is a book calling to me and with a free weekend before me it cannot be denied any longer. Take care my friends and happy babbling
And ty , puglet re: new icon
bye Crossy--hope to see you soon--enjoy
enjoy, crossy *hugs* My greetings to your spouse.
sprite, is charting going to bother you
yeah probably, pug. Very scary and confrontational. And it will be put up for all to see, which makes it worse.
I can see and understand that for sure. It will also make you true to yourself. If you are like me, I dont like the package Iam in.
I don't like my big belly and my round face. Otherwise I am pretty happy with my body.
but I want to learn to eat healthily and enjoy it... so that is what I am going for.
I hate pictures---in my mind I dont see what I see in the mirror
aw :( I think you are beautiful. Just not in your own eyes.
I might learn alot from you---maybe I got a disorder too and dont knowledge it----thanks Sprite
as I do you as well
oh wanna know something funny... the one person in my group I didn't get along with... I wrote her a card just like the others and made it say something caring and special for her. But she had only written a standard greeting and her name on the group card. Wanna guess who felt bad?
I really hope not, pug! But if so, know that there is help out there to support you while battling through it.
well good for you! You might not ever know what that done for her
yeah I was very happy I followed my heart and not my petty irritation.
I like this saying----some people complain because God put thorns on roses, while others praise Him for putting roses among thorns
oh, one of the DS people had that as her status somewhere last week... isn't that a coincidence!
yeah it is! since thats came to you twice so soon must be a note to you
hello all

Lyn - was it you who mentioned Friday Night Dinner?
Yes - and later Grandma's House was on - love them
Iwill plod along ty lyn]
Me too - esp Grandma's House. Name Drop!!! I taught Simon when he was 11!
The shows remind me of lots of people I know from London!!!
I think it must have been the new Season of Grandmas House . They remind me of a lot of people here! Very big community down around here
When was it on?
FW, bye for now
Congrats Peri
They were on last night - didn't notice but probably Foxtel BBC
Congrats and bye Peri
I'll search them out - thanks for letting me know.
I'd better get going - have a good weekend Liz. I'm going to try and avoid anything about football
You too Lyn. The football's not high on my list either!
Hello again babbleworld. Liz you still on?
Hi Jilly - I'm here when I'm not working on our iPhoto book!
Ooo, cool...how nice!
We took so many pics on our holiday. We've finished one book - just Vancouver and now we're working on the Rockies section. After that, Alaska!
Wow, we've went to Alaska in 2004...what a great place. And we are headed to Vancouver in a couple of weeks for a wedding. Did you go to Victoria?
Yes we did - sadly had no free time to meet up with Jilli or Flosey - the downside of a tour group. We went whale watching and saw orcas and went to the beautiful Butchart Gardens.
We are hoping to meet at least Jillibus for lunch at Butchart Gardens. DH's brother getting married on the 16th, then we will go to Victoria on the 17/18-which is our 32nd wedding anniversary.
That sounds fantastic. Congrats on the anniversary. I was really sad not to meet Jilli - she sounds lovely. If you've not been to the gardens before, allow loads of time. There's so much to see and they really are gorgeous.
Flosey also sounds lovely - as do many of the babble people!
She's not on my friends list...where does flosey live?
Also on Salt Spring Island.
She and Jilli play bridge together.
Ahh. will see if Jilli will get ahold of her if I don't run across her this weekend.
Lots to look forward to!
ah yes, and so needed to get away from work and life..each day is precious with my hubby...
That's so true.
Down to 5 - finally.
Go liz!!
Using the list has really helped but might have to resort to morewords soon!

Oh heck guys...I completely missed le4/5...written right across grid...
phantom: -cercal: A word ending that indicates a particular kind of tail. Example: protocercal - <zoology> Having a caudal fin extending around the end of the vertebral column, like that which is first formed in the embryo of fishes; diphycercal.
Well, heading out to spend evening with hubby and TV. Have a great evening everyone and congrats to all the grid winners!!
clue for the OL's?
the first de 5/18? i've tried everything but the actual word.
one has a bit of pimento,
de + mewl
and the other is having to do with margarine - looks that way anyway
oh for heaven's sake. thank you.
yqw
that ol 5/12 clue; I need a different one. guess I am dense tonight
ol is of, relating to, or derived of oil
the other you put in a martini
or you squeeze the oil out of it and dip your baguette in it
or you pick it off an ol tree
I have the martini one, it's the derived of oil one I am not getting.
that's the 12
yes, I know.
spanish cheer
with a frozen cube after it
thank you, Mab, spelling it out for me, I wasn't getting there without it.
sorry that i didn't understand at first what you needed.
not a problem. It's all good.
I think my brain is too tired to bother with the last 21.
i know how that is
have a good night. :)
..slacker
thanks, you too
:D
Niters phan ..
I will own that, ruru
lol
i've been doing these grids religiously since i have wi fi again. my score is way below FMitch's, who passed away over a year ago...
you try to quit this game, but it pulls you back in
I didn't know FMitch passed a way.
Fmitch is playing on in her afterlife.. she'll always be with us
or you can quit and just linger for years
ghostly babbling
oh it was sad, phan
of course her score was quite high....
yes.. I do miss her and her humor.. very witty and funny person
It usually is...
Hi all. FMitch is still on my friends list as I can't bear to extinguish her.
oh yes. i can easily imagine that.
I'm having a bit of a sleepless night at present, due to some sinus/cold bug thingey. So, if anyone wants clues to finish the grid I can oblige.
I get that
have you tried a garlic steam? i find that helpful.
what's a bug thingey though?
mab - I have to be careful with garlic (given my name. LOL) as it lowers blood pressure and I have naturally low blood pressure. If I overdo the garlic, I feel like I'm heading for a stroke the next day.
A bug thingey, ruru ? Some unspecified whotsit that's a bit like a cold but not quite like one. :)
oh, i see. you vampires...
mab - Yup! :)
*warns Jacula to not go to Italy*
there is a recent novel
Vampires in the Lemon Grove
rur - I love Italian food and I make it, too. I just watch my own garlic intake.
mab - what novel's that, then?
a vampire sucks lemons to avoid bleeding people
Not heard of that one, mab. Who wrote it? Sounds fun!
title is down a bit
sounds like a few nuns I know Mab
Karen Russell
Karen Russell - just looked it up.
I've not read her but the book's been reviewed positively
i wouldn't know from nuns, ru
Mab - I've added it to my Amazon wish list so I can 'look inside' later. Thanks.
my pleasure
so.. nun of the above Mab?
pretty much
hello all
hi temple
Hello TO.
hey jacs.
I was surprised to see vi5.24 as an accepted word, since it's a region in France.
jacs: HOW long have you been playing this game? :P
that was odd. also odd: when i finish a grid, i continue to look for words.
TO - Me? Oh, years and years.
Just over 8 years under my present name.
that was in reference to your comment
Oh, lol, I see what you meant now TO. :)
mab - I find myself dreaming grids and solving them.
cocktail time for you, jacs.
i expect we will all play this game for the rest of our lives, and all linger on the score list.
but in my case, i won't linger long
In the wee, small hours I sometimes fear that I will end up like Russell Crowe's character in the film, 'A Beautiful Mind'. Only it won't be maths equations I'll be pinning up everywhere, but Babble grids!
i am so tired, i cannot believe one glass of wine caused this.
oh no!
o.O
TO - cocktails? At almost 4am? Don't think so!
in a little shed in the garden...
mab - lol
i cannot keepfocused on this rid and i need 39
well then we will have them for you.
your loved ones will humor you as they lead you gently away
TO - I'm here to clue. Just ask.
mab - I can see it now. :(
maybe we can all retire to a babble home. in Britain, preferably. by the sea.
ch7/40 then pls?
TO - if one glass of wine made you so tired are you on any meds that would react with alcohol?
no. jus tired i guess. cocktail party for hs alum tonight
TO - ch7/40 is a past or verb tense of the singing group ch5.14.
...and, no, I've never heard ch7/40 used EVER.
or scar tissue. usually spelled with a k
really, no wonder. ty
ok going to stream something or something. nice to see you all, esp. jacula
mab - didn't know that.
night mab
'Bye mab. See you soon. Enjoy your film or whatever.
TO - what else do you need?
2 de5/18 words
de5/18 = to put something down, or de + weep. 2nd de5/18 = satan.
thanks
y/w
doh! we were discussing all night how we wanted our mascot changed back from blue eagle to blue de5/18s
lol. It's often the easy words that come last, isn't it?
What else do you need?
they gave away a stadium blanket with blue eagles on it and we refused to enter to win it. left it for the young ones who grew up with it
di6/39
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!
di/39 = di + a what we breathe compound without the final 'e'.
Hi Min.
TO - tr7/52 is the triple version of this.
carbon di6/39 + and e is what we breathe out.
Are we there yet?
ty
Carbon mon****e is an exhaust gas that can kill us.
Min - I'm done, but sleepless, so here to clue. Have you done your clue story yet?
le 5/20?
le5.20 = e4/9 (nervous) with an 'l' at the start.
ty
le5/20 word rhymes with the he 5/22 word 72 Temple Owl
Also a word I've never heard used (the le5.20).
le7/40, in case you need it, is even more le5.20.
TO - what's the count down to now?
L's Landed! 10 left
Keep going, Min. Ask if you need a clue.
hank jacs, i am done
D's Dabbled! 7 left
Well done, TO! The wine didn't stop you in the end. x
hate to play and run but i am exhausted . see you soon
x
TTFN, TO. xx
Bye 72 Temple Owl! I will see you tomorrow in the chat log
Still here if you need me, Min.
Some gr4/7s are vi4/7 and leave you feeling ve5.28. However, this one wasn't, it was just a little tricky, leaving some wordsve4/7d. I was ti5/12, having tr5/12 hard and vi4/8 with others to complete it, but all I needed was some of that French vi5.24 water, and a cheese and ch5.20 sandwich to see me through. They did spell the name of the English hard cheese wrong on the pack, though - ch6/27.
What did the book say to the librarian? Can I take you out?
Looking ah5/14, I realised I'd need to make time to make dinner - a ch5/14 con carne with a side dish of ol5/16s, I'd also have to re5/16 my washing, which was hanging outside, because it had rained.
I never ti4/4 of sewing. I love making clothes and putting my foot down on the tre7/32 of my sewing machine. Even though it is electric, it still needs to be tre8/50 because it's a sSinger model from the 1950s.
o-o - can I take you out has a whole 'nother meaning these days!
Min - are you done?
No, not yet. I am taking a break to play Candy Crush Saga.
'Bless you, my ch5/16,' said the priest as I ai5/12 my views about the church ch5/14. I wanted to be polite and ci5.18, really I did, but, as their voices ec6.27 around the church, they just made me ed4/9 and I felt like I wanted to ev5/18 or ex5/20 them, they were so awful. I had to gr4.6 my teeth and resist the urge to pull my ha4.5 out when they sang.
If I could have he5/24 them, I would have done. I'm sure the man that hi5/14 them was a ho6.36 - not one of them could ho4/6 a note!
Suddenly, I had a brilliant id4/5 about how I could ti4/7 them away. I'd li5.18 in this village all of my life and hadn't id5/14 my time away. I confronted the ch5/14 master and he looked ed4/9. 'Why are you ti4/5 to this vi4/7 group of singers?' I asked.
He ummed and aa5/14 for a moment... 'I'd have ax4.10 most of them, if I could,' he replied. 'But I have to ce4/6 to the vicar, who would de5/18 all I stand for, de5/18 that he is! That man ex5/20s far too much di4.5 influence on me.'
I could go on, but I won't. Hope anyone who needs clues has got them now. x
Thank you!! That was a BIG help!!
Thank you Jacula. I am working on my last two words now.
Hello joaniok! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.
C's Cuddled! 2 left
Hello joaniok - glad to have helped.
I am always quietly working here and I am grateful for your clues!! I just wish I could help you too, but I am still a beginner. Thanks to all of you1
I am finished! I have fireworks! vi 5/24 was my final word.
Does anybody else need clues here before I jump into bed?
Well done, Min!*~*~*~*
Min - I think they're all done and so bed is a good option for us both (not together, of course! lol).
I enjoyed doing a clue story again. It's been some years since I did one, and I stopped doing them when Min started doing them, since she's so much more succint than me. Being a writer, I tend to go on a bit with mine.
succinct, I meant to type.
I'll be here for about 15 mins more, so if anyone needs clues ask now or forever hold your peace. :)
Joan - you're welcome. You should chat more often.
Incidentally, my last word entered for this gr4/7 was ti4/4 - a layer of a wedding cake.
Okay, I'm off back to bed now. Hope all unifinished ones finish before the flip at 6am.
hi! Jac, long time no char!
