good morning all
Morning Sprite
hi pug *hug* :)
hey sprite. {{hugs}}
hi rose :) *hugs*
hi all
hi joso :) *hug*
Morning Joso
eek, just 2 to go...and they are both s7's
go for it, rose, you can do it
well g'day sir joso...your harem awaits your pleasure...
morning pug, evening Sprite, g'day rose, warm hugs for all
jezz rose, do you have "well g'day sir joso...your harem awaits your pleasure..." hot keyed
glad to see you all
I second that!
oh yeah, joso...lol....you wouldn't know you were alive, unless i greeted you like that...or would you?
you make me feel like I should run around grabbing at boobies
and the problem with that is?
whatever turns you on, mate....
wich would be my defalt greeting if it didn't upset so many people and get me tossed in the klink
:D
roflol...
not that i have any way of knowing that for a fact..
we'll come and bail you out
found, so7, not descriptive of me, as i have 3 sons
you 3 would have so much fun on the road trip you would forget to actually bail me out
sprite, sooo much more dramatic to visit him in the klink, with a cake with a file in it...lol
well that would be a real risk, true
am all for that, rose.
why bail him out? Hes looking for a new home and job--so there you go--free housing at that
lolllll pug!
mind you, we could use a plastic file...not very usable, but not detectable by metal detectors.
and its possible he might find a partner there too!
yeah, joso...free bed and board...what more could you ask for???
Rose, you could bake some of your piano wire in the cake
I think they keep the boys and girls in separate prisons, pug. Not too many good boobies in the male department.
ROFLOL...pugs!!! naughty girl....
Well I have seen some pretty good boobies on some --------
*grin*
let's see, pug wants to travel, so she would go to oz first, to pick up rose, and see a few sights while there, then a short dogleg to the nethwelands, no doubt vie the riviera, rome, paris and a few other stops. then you all need a rest, gradually it becomes, JoSo who...
never, joso. You would be all we talked about.
of course, sprite, he is our lord and master, right?
exactly.
yeah, hes the rooster in the henhouse
see see, you've already thought of 5 reasons to skip canada on your world tour
ROFLOLOL... oh, joso...you are sooo over-whelmed...
no, never skip. Postpone maybe. But perhaps after we return from venice...
and florence.....
The fellow who thought a harem was a good Idea had not practical experience with women
don'tforget we have to drop in on the us of a.....all those babblers to see and meet.
we could rationalise it by saying we are gathering a force to break joso out of prison
just what are you saying, joso? you can't handle a room full of females?
and start your Canada tour in BC so you could pick up flosey, who would want to see all the things you are talking about.
and jilli...
joso is amazing, holding his own with us all going bad ladies on him :)
mmmmm. btw, himself actually slept beside me last night. the first time in 3 weeks. i was so relieved...slept properly , holding his hand.
We would look like a nursing home on a riot! lol
oh wow, that is good news. So there is improvement on the coughing front.
Great, so his cough is slowly easing up
lol pug
ahh, thats nice Rose. So I take it his coughing is slacking off
seems like all our mind works about the same
yes, finally. it is easing off. but don't want to go near either of the mothers until we get the all clear from the pertussis tests.
very smart, rose. Let it heal up further first.
dont blame you there
10 years later, having served my full term, I stumble out of prison into the just arriving travelling women of babble party.
did i tell you? my own mother is in hospital...with fluid on the lungs..pugs...days of our drearies all over again..
just in time for you, joso :)
no rose, that is news, is she in the same place as you?
joso...and get smothered in hugs and kisses...
gradyn, got his first deer. He is so proud. Though Iam not into killing wildlife, I know it goes on
oh dear, rose... no had not heard about your mother yet. Am so sorry. Not easy for you, I think.
all very nice until crossy swoops in and takes you all to a wine bar
joso, she is in one of our major teaching hospitals, private wing.
well good for him, pug. Feeling proud is what he needs.
I ment in the same town
crossy wouldn't leave without you, joso.
Is your mother and the MIL in the same room?
mixed feelings of pride pug.
lol pug
pugs, two different hospitals, thank goodness..in one way.
the moms don't get on?
my brother and his wife are running around for my mother. well, duh. where were they 4 years ago, when i was nearly mental with all the demands from her?
have they ever met
very good, rose. Justice there. Let them find out how it is. You are not available.
joso, my mother, when she was here post-op, in this house, tried to take over the management of mother mac's care..with disastrous results.
omg you actually had her in your house? My dear rose... *hugs* Not at all healthy for you.
Rose what did your mother do in the line of work
my mother was constantly making mother mac cups of tea...and mother mac is on restricted fluids. *sigh*
so everybody knows how to deal with mother mac better than you do, at least in their own minds
pugs, apart from a few years serving behind a counter in a local store and a newsagency, my mother worked in a bank, until she maried my dad.
I would like your guys imput on a mater---I had a talk with my sister and she feels like giving up and is depressed a little. We talked and things have gotten better right now. Should I bring this up to her doctor the next visit or try helping her get over this spell.
poor old mother mac, everyones nursing experiment
yeah, joso..now you understand why i lose the plot...except for mother mac and DH, everyone thinks they know how to look after her.
always bring it up with the doctor too, pug. Very important info for a doctor.
as sprite says, always tell her treating physician.
I just hate that he might add more meds for her to take
yes pug, bring it up, there is such a thing as clinical depression, caused by chemical changes in the brain, probably not that, but if it is you will make no headway without clinical help.
if she needs them, pug, she should take them. They might help her feel better.
thank you guys==I will bring it up
yvw pug *hugs*
How many words today please
245, gran
245, gran. good luck
Thanks - any lists posted?
gran? you never stay to chat. where in the world are you?
before you give her anything the doc say, do some internet research, a GP may not know all he needs to, can't hurt to ask knowledgeable questions. My bet is that there is no severe problem, I think your sister has just cause to feel down, and it is normal. but well worth a check.
Scotland
list in volleydeemom's profile
copy of dee's list in my profile gran
when i eventually come over, would like to look you up.
I just think some doctors gives too much meds to a person
also ask the pharmacist about the combination of medicines. Sometimes another cocktail works better.
I will Sprite
depends on the doctor, pug. Mine isn't too eager to prescribe. Only when necessary.
so did you notice lickey showed up at about 10:00 pm babble time
gran, my ancestors are from the highlands.
no
she already takes meds for--gout,blood pressure, mind, sugar and thyrod
and some doc's are heavily influenced by drug companies, worth being warry of.
hopefully, pugs, her pharmacist is keeping track on the computer.
Got a friend with gout, he says the meds on that are a wonder, no meds great pain, meds, all well
all necessary, pug. Sometimes another med is just what helps. I know for myself... I already had citalopran for the mind. Then I got mirtazapine added to the mix and it was like an epiphany. Within a week (!) I could feel the change. Much more clear head, more energy, not as depressed.
my husband has gout but nothing really helps.
some years ago she was going to a mental clinic and her regular doctor and the two were not on the same page with her care and she was like a walking zoombe.(this was when she was on her own living)
yeah that can be tough, doctors who don't work together.
after the home nurse found her on the floor in her apartment, that was it--I took her in. We dont know how long she was there. That when I quit working to care for her
you are amazing, pug.
nah, just doing whats right. But I try to help her to have as much self dependent as possible
I will repeat myself... you ARE amazing. So beautiful and you don't see it yourself. So let it in, hun. Not many people would do what you do.
well, thanks Sprite
Iam down to 99
nice going, pug
have you three got your fws?
i have, dear.
no, am at about the same spot as you
yayyyyy rose!
congrats Rose!
yay, pugs, well done, hun
awww, shucks!!! thanx
thanks Rose
my friend is using colchicine sprite, if that helps. he says he was using another one, that was more effective but it had a side effect, about 1 time in 10,000, every time you took it, it killed all your bone marrow.
rob has colchicine as well, joso. And something else. Can't remember the name right now. That thing with the bone marrow sounds really serious.
not a good side effect, joso
I hope I brought a smile to E1 with the invite to the cook out--lol
oh, lol, pugs, was so lovely...
lol pug... I was thinking, here I am trying to eat healthy and all and there is an invite to a bbq :D We will have to do lots of salads and some fish, ok?
my friend says he was taking it for 5 years before this little glitch showed up, he says if it or the gout pain were his only choices, he would take it, but moved to the weaker one.
thats just fine Sprite
scary, joso. Quite a glitch. I think I would rather take colchicine too. But the pain is intense, that is for sure.
My grandfather, dad and two sisters has and had gout. My grandfather, dad and one sister has the really bad kind(with the knots )
sorry, he can't remember the name of the other one at the moment.
my two sisters got their while in grade school
is that different from the kind where the foot (for instance) goes to at least twice the size and is very hot to the touch (and untouchable because it hurts so much)?
no problem, joso, thanks for asking.
there are different kinds of gout,Sprite
I got that. Hence my question :)
until he got it i thought it hit old unfit guys who had too rich a diet, esp elderly english lords, lol
lol joso, exactly. Like the ea4 of Dorrincourt.
my dad and two sisters has a rare kind, they have short stubby fingers and toes and their nails grows kind of curled---The doctors wanted them to go to a place to use them as guinie pigs and they refused
very wise to refuse, I think. Sounds painful.
yea, whenever abbott and costello would go to england there would be this old guy, in the library, or his club, or in bed, with his foot propped up and bandaged 9 ways from sunday, and they would accidentally whack the foot at least a dozen times.
argh!
My sister that lives with me, she dosent have a flare up too often but my other sister she gets the swelling, heat and knots
my love wouldn't be able to have bandages. Even looking at it makes the pain unbearable.
Joso that makes me think of that movie Misery(think thats the one) with Bates
btw, all out of the blue my son told us yesterday he thinks he knows what he wants to do after school is over. He wants to go study chemistry. And once he got his bachelor's, he wants to major in medicines.
oh wow Sprite, that is great!
yes, that was my thought too. Gives him something to aim for. Was very happy with the idea.
very good, a goal like that gives him a great future
seems like something is working in that brain--lol
misery is the one pugs, but abbott and costello were just low comedy, except their baseball thing, wich was sheer genius
yay, tim?? did i get it right? hope you have the staying power, sprite. medicine is so very involved and long.
rose, not medicine as in becoming a doctor. Chemistry for medicines.
lol yes, something seems to be working in his brain. Something good.
I have seen several of their shows Joso. I like good comedy
their computer thing too, joso
when my middle son said he wanted to study veterinarianism , i said to him, why not something easy, like law?
lol
oh, that could lead to pharmacy...
good morning!
p
yep. That area. Lab work. And when he gets bored with lab work, he said, he can always start teaching chemistry. He has it all planned out.
MORNING RUBY
hiya ruby :)
so aiming to become a pharmaceutical researcher type of thing,
{{ hugs and kisses}} ruby.
Hi Marigold
exactly, joso. Developing and testing medicines etc.
g'day marigold
just so long as he doesn't do the walter white thing
hi ruby, marigold
had to look that up, series doesn't run he4. No, better not, lol.
oh, great series sprite, breaking bad. just finished.
hi everyone
vets he** make more than MD's
might be broadcasted he4 later then. We are always behind.
about the same here,Ruby
but very dark and grimm, watch an ordinary guy gradually strip off all his morals
Is this something you wrote, Joso?
I am lucky that our vet makes housecalls but she has begun charging the same as the D's for housecalls....still, it's a lot better than getting this furry monsters into the car
will keep an eye out for it, joso
breaking bad, no, I'd be a millionaire many times over if i wrote it.
it ran he**, sprite, but late at night and dubbed, so Imissed it
yeah, count your blessings, ruby. Vets he4 only make housecalls when there is absolutely no other way.
argh, dubbed is horrible.
she even picked u and brought back Raffie when she needed her surgery
that is truly amazing, ruby.
that is one great vet ruby, are you in a rural area?
yes, in a small village between bigger towns. She lives in onr of the towns and works in the other, so it's on her way and she LOVES my dogs. With her hel. I kept Ruby alive for an extra 6 months
which enabled you to let go of her gradually... she did you a great service there, ruby.
I think rural vets are used to doing more, nobody brings a cow to the vet.
she came once a month to check on Ruby and replenish her meds and she doesn't mark up the meds which is a plus
yes, rural vets travel a lot more. They have to visit the cows and horses etc.
wow ruby. She sounds like a real treasure.
As Sprite knows, this isn't very rural except that the sheep have been brought down for their annual job of eating the weeds in the field above the house. The dogs watch thrugh the gate with fascination
it's their TV
we have sheep and a shepard he4, since last year. They walk a path we walk with Terra as well. Rob calls them wool dogs, lol. Terra thinks they are fascinating. And he loves loves loves their poop :(
lol, Sprite! does he roll in it too
we can't let the dogs near them because I think the fence, which gets moved every few days, is electrified
he does. Roll in it and eat it. Argh.
doc goes to confession, he's all torn up because he's had affairs with 4 of his patients. the priest says you are not the first doc to do so and you won't be the last, so as long as you are going to turn over a new leaf, and repair as much damage as you can i can give you absolution. then the doc says, but father, I'm a vet.
aaaargh
roflolllll joso!
Eeeew
Morning zoom
my feelings exactly, zzooozz, and hello
Hello everyone :-)
hi zooz :) *hugs*
hi zooz, liked that did you ;)
could have been an ewe, yes.

roflol, joso...and g'day zooz. how are you and the family?

bye Ruby hugs
Toodle pips, Ruby.
he's being a good boy today
heard it today and thought it was worth sharing with this lot, couldn't believe it when the conversation turned to vets all on it's own.
good, zooz. it is a hard time for all of you.
How are things with you, Rose?
grin, we are always working with you, joso
c u later ruby, enjoy
zooz, am sitting he4, not doing a lot.
This lot hahaha
I will have to read back to find out about zzoozz! {{big hugs to you Zzoozz-cookie}}
ruby, zooz's info was last night.
you are a wonderful son, zooz
Why are you sitting there doing nothing?....you make it sound like that is not good....whats happened?
Aww..thanks ((sprite))
this morning we've been to jail to traveling to health to doctors and now to vets oh yeah books and movies
By the way i e-mailed you yesterday..not sure if you got it or not.
just feels like the twilight zone for rose, not used to taking it easy
You get it all here, Puglet lol
I did, thanks zooz, will write to you today :)
Damn PB for me.
zooz, it's saturday night...i am pain-free, at the moment. and it is good...to be pain-free
Iam sure I left something out
No rush, Sprite..just making sure i got the right e-mail address.
pain-free and she slept with don again... things are looking up a bit, right rose ;)
YaY for pain free, Rose!
you did, zooz, it reached me fine
yeah!!! zooz.
Are they Rose?
Pain free and you slept with..no i am not going to go there...zooz step away from that..lol
absolutely, sprite. couldn't be better.
Sprite what item of up are you refering to?
just holding hands, zooz, just holding hands :)
Teehee
lolol pug!
LOLOL, you guys and gals make my night. thanx so much.
Puglet hahaha thats worse than my remark hahaha
pug has a deliciously wicked mind
well we are speaking of Rose
She does at that it seems :-)
looo-ve pug's mind.
and she says holding hands and I got my doubts about that too
ROFLOL... didn't want to start a coughing fit...
yeah... now that you mention it... she didn't say what she was holding in her hand...
True, Puglet but to be fair to,Rose it was, sprite who said that lol
but I only repeated what rose told us, zooz :)
his hand, sprite, his hand..,.
no coughing, rose, only laughing allowed. Stop it. Now.
Ahh ok then...i missed that bit.
thats right It was Rose who said it first
are you all implying the horizontal (plug in any dance here)
Hahahaha this is getting worse
oh, would they, joso?
doesn't have to be horizontal. A sink would work fine and would take all the pressure of rose's leg.
hi, it's onl 5:20 AM here, what did i walk into?
Why is it when i just start to enjoy myself..i always get a text asking for help...got to go to my parents again...byeee
with all the dancing and rolling in the floor I cant see how you could be overweight Rose
goooooood morning Missus Annie :) Errrrr.... babble chog. Just babble chog.
Hello, Annie :-)
a discussion on my love-life, annie..hello
hi annie, welcome to innuendo 101
aw zooz. They need you. *hugs* We love you.
I want to stay now..but alas...i will read back the chat later....poof*

Oh No! your human!--lol
yeah, darn it, lolol.

so true, Chessy. I am definitely without them atm.
yeah or a can of mixed fruit could be with out pe4
speaking of which... am not doing well today with eating... must go down and grab something. Back soon.
why arent you sprite
I have a question
okay
I see Lickety has a list for Sat. Oct 5th but the clue list do no match the words I find
it was the fifth in Australia when Lickety posted the list
lickety hasent been posting due to moving
okay, thanks
for yesterday
morning OO
what is that eye from?
but then, would it not say Friday, Oct 4th? What is the time difference. I thought it was 12 hours.
he posted it at about 10 pm babble time
okay, thanks
still moving, so lickety still distracted for a while more
back. Hi o-o, glad to see you. Hope you are holding up.
saturday he4 already, Annie
oh, I see what you mean. I think the date resets automatically, Annie.
so as I read this the date is correct but it is the clues to yesterday's grid
yeah, I think that sums it up, Annie :(
Well I wish Lickety an easy move. He deserves all good things.
amen to that, Annie
storming here and my satilite is coming and going. will try later to get back on---hugs to all and enjooy your day. Hope this goes through
it is almost noon and my love is still sleeping :) On the couch with Terra rolled up behind his knees. So sweet.
bye pug, have a good day *hugs*
annie, we all wish lickety well. but please don't forget mrp. she deserves our good wished as well.
sprite, and why is rob sleeping so late?
I think he is tired, rose. He has this amazing ability to sleep whenever he wants... he wakes up, goes back to sleep, just as easily.
lucky rob...i wish him a sweet repose.
me too, grin. Let sleeping spouses lie.
oh, yeah, sprite
he certainly deserves an undisturbed sleep-in
has work been strenuous for him, sprite?
yes, very. He had another aggressive client last week. And he does the shopping and cooking too.
awww, poor rob! let him sleep, as you are doing, sprite. are you able to relax also, hun?
a little. Having trouble with eating today. Couldn't eat until half an hour ago. Then ate some currant bread and... don't know the english word. Some breakfast cook kind of thing. All on the 'good' list.
yay, sprite. hang in there, hun. you can do this..i know it.
I can. I will. Just having trouble today :) So I breathe... meditate.... breathe some more... sit with the pain and the trauma and the frustration and just... sit with it. Not eating it away. But not eating is not good, so there's the rub today.
i fell heavily on my face tonight. we had lasagne and salad..all good..until i had the second serve...okay now..*sigh*
*giggles* You had me worrying for a sec. It is an expression, I take it, for stuffing your face?
sprite, thi8nk of low joulecalorie snacks.like carrot sticks...and glasses of water...
lol, yes, sprite....
don't, rose.... lol. Almost puked 2 times today just thinking of breakfast. Am happy I had the bread and stuff now and it seems to stay down.
another option...crunching ice-cubes
oh! That is a brilliant one. I like to do that. Thanks rose :)
can you guys put me out of my misery and give me a clue for the to7? Please.
yes...the ice-cubes meet 2 needs...something to keep our mouths busy...and something to fill our tummies.
hm it is not topless, darn. Looking, Dianne!
dianne, without play things
without playing tools, Dianne
ah, what rose said...
thanks so much :)

poohbah..freemason's top dog??
lollll
grand poohbah, And I think that's fred flintstones lodge
oh yeah, joso...and the problem is??
well, you can't take it seriously without the grand
stone-age...right where the freemasons should be..
fireflies
WTG SPRITE!~!!
congrats sprite, so you know my 4 letter word then
lovely grid!
I do, joso. I do.
so agree, sprite. it flowed really well.
maybe the mass hysteria with the alt. spelling
sure did, and a nice challenge at the end.
Well I've got some catching up to do, 70 words to go
lol. was going to ask you, joso, if you were finished. no need now.
guess I better get moving he4. Big *hug* to you all... thanks for being there and for being my friends. For not judging and for supporting me. You guys rock.

exudate, now someone is showing off their vocabulay
there is always something unusual about ae words
ae4, a combination form meaning air
and their great spelling, lol
aside from starting ae
ae4, use sometimes vowel on the end
aery
tnx rose, got all the 8's now
sorry

We paddled on the Moose River in Old Forge in the Adirondack Mtns on Wednesday.

Yes, Bichon, when scared or mad. Quiet and low-pitched.

I think I'm going to get a pair of foster Bichons later this month. Abby and Murphy
I read stuff like the Rule in Shelly's case
Yay, Bichon! Lucky dogs!
5 and 6 years old. Abby needs knee surgery.
we have a ginger kitty named abby.well her name is abby for short, her full name is Aberakadabera Hocus Pocus(as she can escape from any collar or harness)

alloy,ty for the sa6, I only had the 4
all those 8's are funny. ty molly for the last one
thnx molly and annie - halfway, NBT and NBS and time for a break
The Australian/US time difference is the reason for the list confusion. Lickety updated to yesterday's list when it was already the next day in Australia. How's that for confusing.
is there a 12 hour time difference?
Good morning, all!
Right now, it is 12:31AM in Australia
Australia is even much later than here and we are 6 hours later than the east coast
I thought Lickety was in the US central
so it's 14 hours
However, the date on the list should always be the date of the flip.
Dr God is in the US central
ah, I see
Molly your ho 8 clue for the rhino - Just to remind you all that our rhinos are being poached at an alarming rate - the "appendages" are extremely valuable on the Asian market as a sex drive remedy (bloody fools eat your toenails) These magnificent creatures are now being shot with a dart - deh***ed and then left to die from either blood loss or because they are not given the antidote to wake them up they suffocate under their own weight - please if you get a chance help "save our rhinos"
That is awful Ursh. How sad.
I think the poachers should be poached and left to die under the weight of their greed. What a horror. I will google "save our rhinos" later, cannot do that on BE
And sorry, but how stupid do you have to be to believe that the rhino appendage will improve your sex drive?
ursh, do you ever go to game parks or out in the bush or is that "old hat" for a resident?
ursh, do you ever go to game parks or out in the bush or is that "old hat" for a resident?
So true, ursh. Much the same can be said for the world's elephants. Selfish bastards out to make a quick buck.
I was always working when I went to SE but only saw a little bit of the game on weekends
SA*
Ruby - love the bush and go as often as possible but parks are quite expensive
that is wonderful, ursh. I'm sorry that I didn't push for more time on those trips! I'll never be able to go bAck
I went to one c-list reserve where they had a "resident" white lion and they would hang a dead zebra in a tree at night so the visitors could see it
lol. Showoff lion.
the best thing about the reserve was the game warden! he was better than ourpool bnoys
And I one lucky Aussie? Here I am in beautiful South Africa - heading off to the Karoo in a few days and will visit a park there!
you certainly are, dofith!
hey dofith - welcome and have a lovely trip
Hey, dofith - hang a zebra in a tree so we know where you are.
smaller downside to the poaching is that guards have to be employed to try protect the rhinos and of course their wages push up park fees
we'll look for you in googleearth
Thanks - will do! It's our 4th visit. Son is an Africaphile - prposed and got married in Kruger NP so we had to go there, and now our third visit to Cape Town. And we spent a week in Addo with the elephants. Just love it!
We are slowing killing or mining everything on the planet to extinction
I know everything has to eat but some of the prey animals are so beautiful - zebra included
Judi- maybe they'll hang me in a tree!
Kruger is my most favourite place in the world
it sounds like a great trip
And their's (son and wife).

*Admires lead balloons*
*tries to lift one*
FINALLY found the 4th column o...whee!! nbt/nbs and no list!!
any of several species of Hawaiian honey eaters of the genus Moho, esp. the extinct M. nobilis, of the island of Hawaii, that had black plumage and two tufts of yellow plumes used to make ceremonial robes for the Hawaiian kings. Also,o'o,o''o.
wtg, Jilly
weather is rather dreary and brisque
a bird? amazing!
Nice factoid o-o...goes well with ha5/12!
Same here o-o, but it is sunny!! :)
As an alternative to lead balloon, my old guy neighbor says "that went over like a fart in church" : D
lol, heaven forbid
And now, back to the weather...
... and dead birds..
never know what will show up in chat, like stuffed bunny talk this morning

Lots of citrus growers are bailing out down here, switching to something else - after the hurricanes, too many problems
thank you and dee for the list molly.. i'm stuck at 25
With the mess that is the USA, people here are talking about bailing to another country.
as Vonnegut would say, "and so it goes"
or, the old saw ... this too shall pass
good morning everyone :)
Morning cyber!
time for some positive news.. howdy nan
I agree with the constipation theory o-o
scrolling back.. missed that theory!
Maybe Joel: I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten
....this too shall pass....
you did really well, ruru.. I went to the list way before 25
LOL Jilly!
So when they say in the Bible "and it came to pass"...
lol
everything boils back to ones bowels....
Well you know, all that fasting in the desert. It was probably a big deal when it came to pass.
:D
.. ugh.. have the camera up the you know what test on the 11th .. dread the prep of drinking all that antifreeze
The common belief is that King Solomon the Wise sent a servant to search for a magical ring which made happy men sad, and sad men happy. Thinking it was impossible to find such a ring, but the jeweler returned with a ring engraved with the Hebrew words, "This too shall pass." Sad people found joy in the thought that troubles will pass. Happy people were sorrowed by the idea that their joy and wisdom were but a fleeting thing.
I have to do that too aloy.. not a happy day
how interesting, ty o-o
LOL....that's what I do for a living aloy....feel for you and that prep!!
yuck, Jilly.. not the same as my first one years ago, why did they change the protocol?
Had no trouble with the prep .. drank it right down and was done with it.
there should be a colon in that note jilly :D
good to hear.. others haven't been as encouraging, o-o... ruru, that was funny!
C more butts....
You should clarify that you are a medical professional jilly, not that you have a camera inserted for a living!
ugh - no lickety and stuck at 145/100
The whole motivation on preps is to get the colon clear so we can see everything...
there is something other than drinking a gallon of that awful peglyte.it is a powdered preperation and makes a 8 oz glass with water but the doc will warn you that it has a 10% chance of affecting your kidneys
am chortling now, ty for the laughs all
<--Thinks Jill may have been in endoscopy too long
List in my profile Nan
I was wondering why jilly has been so cheeky
So they change it as better ones come along...drink lots of fluids aloy...we use the one where Myralax is mixed with gatorade
lOL ruru
wish I had some of that.. I just picked up this huge gallon jug with powder in it and instructions and my eyes popped
but what does not change is you will need to be nice and close to the bathroom for the next 24 hours
...she never uses the front entrance at stores either...
ruru, my sides are aching now, LOL
Hoser.....
ugh.sounds like the peglyte, aloy:((

Jill has gone Canadian. Next thing you know, she will be going to Canadian Tire for a tyre gauge.
LOL....the name it goes by here is 'Go lightly'...ya right...
make sure there is lots of bathroom supplies before you start;))
stop 2
soft bathroom supplies :D
funny enough,we never ever say 'hoser" that is an aerican thing they created for us
Not to be totally gross, but use a salve (A&D best) with start...greatly reduces...um...well, you know...
american
Sam's club for super rolls
You will have to speak to The McKenzie Brothers about hoser.
amricans create them as well
crap.. I am going to have to list.. I can't find anything now
meant to say stop@ but am nervous now and my fingers are twitching, lol
do you have to use that word, ruru?
Lickety came on last night just when I was going to give up....
but don;t burn the bacon eh?
sorry
well, I guess it is appropriate at this time for sure
24!!!!!!! I found one yeah...
have not seen any news for a day or 3.how is that shutting down the government to avoid health care for all thing going anyways? everyone back to work yet? i have never heard of anything more stupid in my life
Well, pat yourself on the back aloy for doing this...80% of colon cancers can be caught in precancer stage this way
but he didn't post a list, jilly?
back or backsides jilly?
He did...1.5 hours before flip
Oh, she'll be patting the backside enough ruru
confess to putting it off, Jilly.. will be glad when it is over.. ty all for the chuckles
But the current Lickety list is not up, right?
I did too aloy...first one at 54...should have been 50...and I work in the departmetnt... *hangs head in shame*
not to be too coarse, aly, but monostat make these personal cooling wipes that may be a godsend by the time you are half way through the jug of anit-freeze.you should get some
No erda, but I would bet Molly has it in her profile ;)

TY Jilly
I have to have my first done.. I'm way behind

Hubby and I did ours the same day...our son was our driver...he had great fun with us the whole prep day, almost worse than the prep!
aloys tushie has taken over the chog!! run!!! run for your lives!
oh she will be....

groan.. we need a new subject
I don't know, I think that is too much togetherness. Reminds me of the "love toilet" on Saturday Night Live.
Omg that's taking togetherness too far
flatulence will get you nowhere aloy
...oops flattery ... :D
*Buys Chrissie a brandy and..."
OK.. lolol
now are we talking firm here or bubble butt?? lol
Well, it was practical. I only had to take one day off, rather than one for me and one for hubby...I like to spend vacation days on vacation...
we can change to the weather if you wish hehe
Down in one, ty Molly
And you guys think I'm joking about the Puritan ethic.
did not you guys burn the puritans at the sate in the 1600,s molly? lol
Yes, that certainly would ve a busman's holiday Jilli
stake
No, as far as I know, Puritans were not burned at the stake.
The Puritans burned women they believed to be witches though.
Just the errant ones....
ahh
they burned only people on the A list
found that missing so7, thinking of a friend who had seven daughters, no boys, so he was so7
well then, stick a skewer in me and hold me over the coals of obamacare cause i am cooked:)).serious for a moment.i hope your guys get it worked out properly and have good health care for all,not just those who can pay insurance comanies the big bux
And actually, the manner of execution in colonial days was hanging. Women believed to be witches were burned in England.
i stand corrected with the witch burning
sociopathic...
damn.. wrong so 7
ha, te7 uses the same ending, baby shampoo is supposed to be this
why ty,ruru. that is the nicest thing i have had said to me all day;)))

LOL... *poof*
no END to what you learn on this site
Goody Jill, off to can. Time's a wasting.
This chat has been right up your alley hasn't it ruru :)
gh 6? - monkeys retired (or maybe retarded!)
g + not him + two vowels
ty molly - new one for me
Remember Nan, we are supposed to be multi-lingual
politically very incorrect---the used of the word retard or retarded
lol - just looked up the def
with all the building collapses, maybe they don't gh 6 enough!
True nan
what does it mean, nan?
sorry annie - my monkeys are mentally challenged this morning -- is that better?
somewhat, nan
cognitively disabled
figured when I was speaking of myself I could use any word I pleased!
I have a son with Down Syndrome who travels to work on his own, reads and writes and I find my hackles up when I see that word. I was no attacking you...just bringing it out for anyone's attention
phew, this was a tuffy.. done and really must go get some work done.. bye all, thanks for the chat, ciao
He also happens to be a kind, caring person and very helpful
that word is not known to me at all
Yes - we have a nephew with Downs Syndrome.
ty Annie, I didn't it was an offensive term either, but do now
we are talking about the gh5??
thank you for understanding, Chrissie
6*
No, retarded
oh
no - the word I used to descibe my inability to find it is what annie took exception to
well, yes, when used in conjunction with humans i too find it a tadd off
the Downs syndrome kids I've met in life have been really sweet kids
gotcha
you know, I once had a post edited on a site because, in the course of hinting to help with a flash game, I used a phrase something like "if you do it right, the cat will spaz out and run around". Never knew "spaz" was derogatory, I believe mostly to the British? not sure. I hear it used commonly here.
Down Syndrome not Downs
thanks annie
Originally the word was used to mean delayed development -- it was verbal bullying that made it a no no.
that si why when i leave the chat room i no longer say "poof" i say poink instead as it is offensive to many of our euro friends
spaz is also a derogatory term in the US too
the world is getting maller
smaller
exactly, nan
you mean like nancy boy, and JC and Andrew in Drag Crossy :D
i mean to anyone in whose county it is used as a derrogatory comment
but i try not to be so politically correct that it becomes silly
I can be soooo far from politically correct most of the time
i mean it is still a MANhole cover, not a maintinence access porthole lol
well, maybe if I called someone a "spaz", but in my experience many people use it as "spaz out" to mean just acting wildly or running around all nutty like... or as a sub for "freak out"
i also know that one as spazzing out
not used too much anymore however
had a friend who insisted on being called a sanitation engineer instead of a janitor, which he was, in truth.
I think one of the worst things people can do in relation to someone with a disability is to treat the "special" or "different".
spaz is used in conjuction with humans who have ceberal palsy who cannot control their motions
i do not think the current crop of high school kids can spaz with their underwear up to their belly buttons and the pants down around the bottom of their butts
and the pants dont fall off!
mm,interesting how it is used in different places.comes off of spastic i woul imagine
they must gorilla glue their underwear to their pants
our police like the kids to wear it like that.makes them easier to catch in a foot chase
LOL
lol! our son used to wear those pants, made by a company called Janco - hubs used to call them his "Yanko" pants, as he was constantly yanking them up...
Those kids don't realize what "slabbing" comes from and really means.
my son also has delopmental issues, annie but i am glad to say that here at least the learning atmosphere for our childrens has vastly changed for the good.he graduated just this year:))
crossy, that is wonderful news...congratulations
i am proud poppa
as you should be, crossy and Mrs. crossy
Some McDonald's are now refusing to serve people wearing "saggy pants"
wonder if the kids actually know the origin of wearing pants and underwear that way?
When Bobby graduated from The Occupational Learning Center, they had an honor guard and Bobby carried one of the flags. I cried thoughout the entire ceremony.
yaaa for annies son!
:)
molly the first time my sister saw a kid with saggy pants and i told her it was the fashion she was convinced i was wrong and that the boy had a boil on his butt !!
Well, America has one of the best special education programs in the world. We have indoor plumbing too!
Wearing your pants like that originates from prison.
my boy is currently enrolled in a program here called breaking down barriers.it helps recently graduated children with challanges enter the work force and matches them with compatable and supportive employers
ooohh invictus and why is that ?
it does indeed, invictus
Yes Invictus, it's all part of the "gangsta look"
it advertises you as available
It means that you are available for an ummm "relationship" in prison...
indeed
oh my goodness - has anybody told the kids ?
Kids don't listen to anything.
I'd be willing to bet that NONE of the street kids wearing their pants that way have that in mind.
You could put it on a gigantic billboard and they still wouldn't listen!
I am sure they know what it means, esp. in the US
no,they do not listen
lol too true - youth is so wasted on the young
thankfull my son never ran with that type of crowd
Good Morning, Everyone. How are you all on this cool, cloudy Saturday?
howdy,nef
Hi Nef :)
54 left for later, bye
tc annie
My son is only 7, but he doesn't like his pants to sit low enough for even the tops of his underwear to show (even though his shirt hangs over it and you can't tell). He does have sensory issues though.
I don't mean to scare you off, Annie; I did shower and use deodorant! ;-)
hi nef, bye annie
my son had that.hated to have clothes on when he was young
I wonder sometimes if our son's new preference in pants (way too tight) is any sort of improvement over the saggy ones, really... :P
Nef, You smell heavenly. I am meeting some friends for lunch.
so I am on my way.
his skivvies still puff out above them much the same way, haha
I agree rbud. Only about 2% of the male population look good in tight pants.
BYE and HAGD, Annie!
Joey always wanted to be completely covered up when he was little. He had to have long-sleeves, long "soft" pants, socks, and a hat on at all times! My wonderful, amazing husband worked with him beginning when we began living together when my son was 4. Now, at 7 he runs around in his underwear at home. He had lots of other issues, too, but now he is in a normal 2nd grade classroom, makes the best grades in the class, and has lots of friends.
that si well.we support them as best we can in their trials of life
what a beautiful story and ending, bless you all invictus
I miss bell bottoms on men, to tell the truth. not sure how they came back into fashion a few years back, but only for women. perhaps I'm dwelling on the past? likely.
thanks
In my experience, sensory issues are something that most people don't understand.
*poink*
at one point the school systenmwanted to use a weighted vest type of therapy on my sone in class.i said"do you want my permission to shacle him to the bloody desk as well?"
DANG! The house is quiet and I'm enjoying being here with just DH and myself; and HE wants to go SHOPPING! :-(
He also only ate bread and now eats absolutely anything put in front of him. He is like a completely different kid, except he has kept his sweet, sensitive nature.
shackle*
Weighted vests are used on autistic kids with some success.
kudos to you, the amazing hubby, and to Joey, invictus.
sometimes, but i deemed it not needed in this case
you have to be very proavtive with the schools or your kid can end up becoming a guinea pig
Thanks, I'm very proud of him. I really didn't think he'd be able to really go to school for a long time. He was kicked out of several day care centers at age 3.
they di make a wonderful IEP for himhowever
sounds like he has come far, invictus
Well, *I'm* not going to take him! HUMPH! (I know, I should because he can't drive; but *I* get to relax too!)
Yeah, people don't know how to handle kids with sensory issues. They want it to be a behavior problem, but these kids truly cannot help it.
I've found that parents who are understanding and supportive when it comes to their child's disability have a lot of success. The ones who keep trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, seem to struggle and so do the kids.
tell him to take the car and have fun
Get up, stand up, Nef. You deserve to have things your way sometimes.
indeed, molly.our children are one of a kind and cannot be slotted into a sterotype or a standardized expectation
Oh, my son was treated as a problem, too and he had terrible sensory issues. He also had a genius IQ and knew more than most of his so-called teachers!
For Joey, it was learning how to cope with things. The insurance company wouldn't pay for occupational therapy, so we had to do our own.
yes,the really smart children often have difficulties
Both of our kids are still ADHD; I was a very strong advocate for them in the school systems; and it paid off. But it took lots of work too
That is Joey to a T, Gail!
you should of seen the war i had to get my son permission to use a laptop in class!
Once he found clothes he liked, he had to wear them every day! I did a LOT of laundry
now things have changed
It's only recently that kids with sensory issues have been accepted into the "disability spectrum". Before that, they were "just being difficult". Right.
Most teachers (at least here) want every kid to fit into a certain mold and when they don't, they just don't want to deal with them. It sucks. What ever happened to individualized education?
Mike was in school during the "open classroom" phase, and he had way too many choices to make. He couldn't cope.
that is coming in many systems now, invictus.i think our children will be the last that have9had) to struggle in this way
Kids (with disabilities or not) are herded through the school system like cattle. It's sad.
Oh yeah, they're too busy going over copies of past years' standardized achievement tests every single day instead of actually teaching something!
Crossy, I found something for him to do instead. Our fair city is having a "clean-up" day, so we can take in specific things that we normally can't (outdated medications, used oil, stuffed furniture, etc.); so I've got him loading the car now! :-)
In FLorida, my niece told me that the teacher's pay is based on her class average grades.
im the beginning, our system refused to let my son into grade one unless we drugged him up with ritalin...well,the war was on let me tell you!
is the ma 8 and extension of the civic leader?
I am considering having my children do public school online next year. They will be in 3rd and 5th grades, and that way we can supplement what they're learning with REAL learning.
our son got sent to an alternative school when he became a behavioral problem - he was bored. So he acted up. They had 3 grades in the same room in our little local school, and he was in the last of the 3 grades. got tired of hearing the same stuff as he'd heard for two years in a row.
Yes, the ma8 is an extension
*an extension?
more and more, invictus, home schooling is fast becoming a much more appealing, viable alternative for our children
female version, Nan
y
Home schooling has a long way to go. Too many parents are doing it who should not and the accreditation does not apply when it comes to college entrance.
My daughter is very smart too. She is in 4th grade and is just now being taught how to write!
ty era
*erda
here, the govt lays down certain curriculums that must be met for home schooling, molly.we are not allowed to jsut wing it
YW
psychiatrist insisted I "minimized" his behavior and blamed the teachers. sigh.
The online program I am considering is through Houston Independent School District, so it is considered a public school education. And then whatever else, can be added on by us.
Once Mike did a report based on a trip to England that his grandparents took, and he used books from the adult library and the teacher told him that he was lying!
They would still be required to pass all of the standardized tests, too.
oddly enough, nearly half the boys in the school wound up in the alternative school, pretty high percentage... should I not blame the teachers? harumph.
Molly, why do you say that home schooling accreditdation doesn't count?
it counts.here anyways
Ok, I promised the kids pizza buffet for lunch.
Here is a great special ed (dyslexic) story. A family member brought home a math test with a big red F on it, along with a red frowning face. When his mother looked at his answers...9 x 9 = 18...she realized that all of his answers were correct, but backwards. The "teacher" failed to notice that.
there are guidlines.you follow them.add what you wish and you are good to go for college
My cousin's son was home schooled (due to learning disabilities that the school didn't work with and bullying; he's just graduated from Notre Dame in June.
Because home school kids still have to take the GED to get into college.
yup
home school works.period
no real gray area here
I'm not sure if he got a diploma or a GED; I'll have to ask my cousin.
There is a lot of grey area when it comes to home schooling. Kids who are cloistered in the home and learn nothing about social acclimation is one. Like I said, it depends on the parents doing the home schooling.
that is there
yes it depends
follow the rquired curriculum and there ia no problem
now as for social interaction,as a parent you have to use your brain with that
Well, Dan was in many extracurricular programs through their church; so maybe that helped? He's going on for a Masters' in music now...
yaaa for dan!!
There is a real world out there, and kids have to learn how to fit into it. Kids who are schooled at home for 12 years have trouble adjusting if their program is not supplemented with a lot of socialization opportunities.
like i said, you are the parent doing the teaching.use your head to make sure you include social interaction with your teaching
(LOL! I just thought of something: in my family, there is no such thing as "cloistered!" We'r a large Irish Catholic family and cousins and family are always together!)
That is the problem. The requirements to home school are very...um...open. And some parents to it specifically to shelter their kids from "those kids".
museums, hordicultural centre, animal sanctuaries, field trips can all be intergrated with the lessons
then those parents who tech their kids in a cage in the basement will have problems as well as their children.here the program has much more accountability
There are so many more learning activities at those places now, Crossy. Zoos and musems even have camps now.
Field trips are great. However, that does not teach a child to socialize in a group of their peers.
there are indeed,gail
Cubs scouts, camp and church activities kept my kids busy. And music lessons.
yuppers, beavers, cubs and scouts and pathfinders are awsome
I had a huge car back then, I could fit the entire cub scout den and the dog in the back seat. Lots of trips.
back then we had a 76 ford ltd station wagon with the backwards facing seat in the back.we could hold an entire little league team:))
It also helps to follow the state program instead of some religious which won't allow current science information (hard time writing that to not offend anyone)
Ha ha, I nearly went mad, but we did have fun!
agreed,nef
saw one catholic schoolbox that sated the earth as around 7000 years old and that electricity was a mystery lol
school book
stated
I am an advocate for whatever learning style works for the individual child. But I would never claim that one way works for all and that there are not drawbacks involved in some situations. It's not black and white.
crossy, that isn't even Catholic beliefs!
no,it is definatly not black and white.but there are options to being herded through public school just to be gotten rid of
Nef, that is the problem with some home schooling. The forms of it that are done for religious reasons.
yes, I agree
definitely
sorry, nef.did not mean to say catholic as a specific, but some religious schools
i saw a bit of the book online is all and cannot id it to one specific sect
I went through Catholic grade school (and so did my kids) and we were taught evolution just like current science.
good
that is well
Most Catholic school education in the US is top shelf. Which is why so many people pay extra to put their kids in Catholic schools.
of course when i was in school in the late 60,s and early 70,s, our books were so outdated that by 1975 we were still reading about how one day man may land on the moon
I think some of the right wing protestant sects teach that. I read something recently about Texas produces many of the American educational textbooks and they're being written aand teaching creationism
ahh ok.that is most likely what i saw,nef
I've worked with some very educated people who actually believe that. I was reading something at work once and mentioned something about the human genes changing about 7 (or 10?) thousand years ago so we could digest something and this person just looked at me and told me that people hadn't been created yet so what I was reading was wrong!
here it is.you were correct.. http://tinyurl.com/85px9mv
thanks, crossy
that isn't the article I was reading, and the text book they're talking about is quite old. I'll try to find the article I was reading
but back to my view and that si home school is a very viable alternative when done in conjunction with aproved curriculum and set within the proper learning environments
Hi all. Is there a list available?
think molly has one
ty I'll look
i am told lickety is moving and his list will be a bit sporatic for a short while
I found it on Molly's profile, as you thought.
this is similar to the article I read: http://tinyurl.com/csfydy8
lookin...
hello all. walked almost two miles today. it is going to be in the 80's.
help with 8's pls. I have te8
and I only have one 7, the oa7
so this texas book board of 15 or so people dictate what is in school text based on their own personal opinions and religious beliefs? not good
agreed, cross. It is pretty sad, isn't it?
sigh..then again last i looked OPEC was made up of exatly 13 people in a board room(12 men,one woman) who dictate when to open or close the oil taps on imported oil and setting the rack prices as they see fit
hi peri. Use the same 4 letter ending for at least 1 or 2 more 7 & 8 letter words
I am trying Nef but I cannot find them
te 8/40
I found an ho8!
I have a te8/40
(I was trying to hint without giving hints because you always find things before we can clue them!
yaaa for peri!!
:-)
how is school coming along, crossy? are you the star pupil?
Kansas has had numerous science standards the last 20 years, depending on who is elected to the State School Board,, flips back and forth between conservatives and the other guys....
oh my, gemini. That's not good
found a ea7!
things are going well in school, peri
good
YAY, peri! Now you're off and running (as usual)
still missing two 8's tho and 9 of the 7's but I am plodding along
if poly is accepted, why not roly? and I know I used a word from the gird and will not go to PB
te, ho & ma are the 8s I have so far.
ty amelu. ho and ma are the ones I need
want a clue?
not the star by any means, peri.we have at least two wunderkind kids around 19-22 in class who finish all the assignments in half the time and saunter off the recreate the universe or whatever they do lol
yes pls
well I am proud of you, crossy!!
:)) ty peri.top ten% is good enough for crossy
a horse is not a unicorn because it's... & she presided over the city counsel meetings.
oops, I already had the ho but ty
ty for the ma8
~:o)
what are you going to school for, cross? (I've been out of the loop lately)
words that end in less are as dumb as words that start with non, IMHO
advanced computers,a math class,and a few english classes,nef
I have almost 150 and just found the word across the top of the grid, duh!!
as well as nailing down the nuances of windows, word, exel, powerpint and publisher
LOL!
I HATE it when that happens, peri!

crossy, you will be well equipped to find a good paying job. when are you done with school?

Good for you Nan. I just pass Dee's list forward.
WooT WooT WooT nan!!
thankyou for doing that Molly
Goody Jill, are you all canned up?
ty
Canned out more like it. 6 pints salsa, 12 pints applesauce and 12 pints, 6 quarts of plums....
wow, jilly - you have been busy
Neck and back are killing me...and now headache from neck...and no NSAIDs in house....
Still have a third of box of plums and more apples...may slice and put in dryer tomorrow
BBL have to freeze the raspberries.
Feel for you gramma...
last canning I did was jam - about 10 years ago -- think there is still a jar of it in the cold room. Just doesn't seem worthwhile for only two of us - and both trying to cut down on snacks and sweets.
I know, I have probably 30 pints of jam...no one eats it anymore.
NSAID =Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Medical people need to use those kinds of shortcuts a lot. It's aspirin in my house. : D
I have to say the applesauce is wonderful. Had 3/4 jar left from recipe
It's a vitamin here...well not now of course when I need it...
And yes, I know that aspirin is different from the anti-inflammatory stuff. It's just that we don't use that.
We can get apples from the packing house year round, so don't bother with that.
We get fresh apples all year round too, Nan. I make applesauce if we have too many that haven't been eaten.
Have a MacIntosh tree in our backyard...plus that heavily producing plum tree...
That's what I should do, Molly -- but I like pie so-o-o much better!
I don't always make applesauce. Sometimes pie, or apple crisp.
Haven't got into apple desserts just yet -- pears are almost finished though, so won't be long.
hello
hi mlf

Hmm, why make sweets if you don't eat them?
I just made a Boston Cream Pie for Mr. Bich's b'day
Mr. Bichon has good taste. I love Boston Cream Pie. And Happy Birthday to Mr. Bich.
I will Molly. He's out adventuring in the woods. When he returns
Adventuring in the woods is a fun thing. : )
Yes, it's planning for "Otherworld Interactive Theater"
Hmmm...what is that about bichon?
Role playing with fantasy creatures and such. Costumes too
*Still wondering why Jill makes apple pies if no one eats them*
Cool...do you participate?
LOL...Molly, we did eat 7 of them....
Not, not the type. But I know lots of people who do. My son did it when he was younger
...hoping for Jilli's left-overs...
Our youngest does this role playing game...Furbee?
Long ago pitched the 3 2 year old pies chrissie...
My son was a big Dungeons and Dragons player in his youth.

Hi, everyone! How's it going? This grid seems a bit challenging.
Right you are Mimi
Hi there Mimicat!! It's not too bad...just missing sending words to list easilty
Good thing I'm such an underachiever....I give up easily!
Quittin' tim. hagd
Bye, bichon!
Jilly, I've been sprucing up my little nest and it's looking so pretty....happy, happy.
Wish I was closer to you so I could get some of your canned products!
Nice...send photos to my email??
About to put last batch of plums in for processing...come on up! Applesauce is yummy, had a bit left over
I don't even have a camera to do that but that may change soon. Still have a few things to do but when I'm done I really do want to take some pics. Will send then.
Would LOVE to visit, Jilly...maybe before too long if it's OK with you. Just love Montana and would so love to meet you.
I'm afraid I'm now addicted to Amazon.com. They have just about anything you need and it gets delivered to the door.
That can be dangerous...LOL
Now I'm concentrating on my balcony area. Want to create a little oasis for both me and the cats. Yes, it is a bit dangerous---too easy to spend money.
Ok, giving up, cannot see the first re4/6
i am a size re*ular + plural letter.
Glad I got to touch base, Jilly.
Hi, zooz!!!
Hello, Mimi :-)
It has been ages since we talked! How are you doing?
I am ok.plodding on....hope you are well?
Getting by, thanks. Waiting until Jan. 1 so I can get Medicaid and finally get my thyroid fixed. But things are so much better now that I'm working again.
Our heat finally broke and it was actually kind of cold this morning....LOVE THAT.
Good for you, Mimi.Sounds as if things are getting better for you!
hahaha we are always having cold spells here...i want heat.
Would gladly trade any time around July/August. They said we had the hottest summer on record this year and I believe it.
Glad to hear you are getting back on your feet mimi!
ANd I must head out once again...63 left...
I'm a tough old broad, Jilly!
Yes we had a very good summer after a shaky start with a cols spring.
((Jilly)) Hugs and bye.
Bye, Jilly.
Shakey*
I'm hoping to travel a bit next year once my lawsuit settles (hopefully in my favor). Planning to visit crossy and may be able to get across the pond also.
Hope it works out for you, Mimi..not a nice thing to have to go through i am sure..but if the outcome is good..then it would do wonders for your travel plans!
This has dragged on and will be a year and a half by the time it settles. Fortunately, the lawyers works on contingency so if I don't get anything, neither does he. We're pretty sure the case is solid.
If you did get to travel..what will you do with your cats..put them in a kennel type place untill you return?
No, never...they're feral to anyone but me. But my neighbor will feed and care for them as I do for her cats when she travels. They have each other for company so at least that's comforting. I won't be gone longer than about a weeks on any trip.
And, BTW, how nice of you to remember I have cats!
That is good to have someone who can take over whilst you are away...and yes sorry i do remember now you saying about them being feral and have had their problems so are fussy who looks after them.
Or should i say who they look after..lol
One of them has seizures about every 10 days to 2 weeks but always snaps right out of them. Have talked to vets and decided to just leave it in God's hands since I don't want to drug him every day and he never has issues afterwards. This has been going on as long as I've had him (since he was a baby) so for about 5 years.
That is ashame this happens..but as you say if their seems to be no lasting after effects then maybe it is best left alone...especially after all that time.
Must be concerning when you first saw this happening though...i would of panicked.
You are insightful Zoom. You remember things that other people overlook.
It's much harder to give a cat drugs than a dog....can't just put a pill in a wad of cheese and have it gulped down. Cat KNOW it's there and will eat around it. I've worked with so many types of animals and know the challenges. I just provide him with the best quality of life I can. All three of mine seem very happy and are extremely loving with me and with each other. They're luckier than many people....
You too,Molly..it touched me when you had your icon as a candle for me..i will always remember that.
hi all need some clues for the z's have the non numbers
It was disconcerting at first, zooz, but I've worked for zoos and vets and wildlife parks and am accustomed to dealing with many types of animal crises.
BTW, has anyone seen lilliann here lately? I miss her so much.
They are zl words. Not of the English language.
ty Molly
Not seen, Lillian for some time either, Mimi.
can I have the stats
Hello, Chrissie!

Take care, Mimi.
Okay, Chrissie is the bartender. How dangerous is that? : O
Can not be as bad as, Soodle...can it?
Oh it could. Just be careful if you order Creme De Anything.
You pays your money and you takes your chance ;)
You know God created whiskey so the Irish wouldn't take over the world....now I'm gone.
LOL
molly, you get worse!
Yes, that is what they tell me.
Great parting shot Mimi
Min, why are you hiding? Happy Teacher's Day!!
...and I'm Irish descent!

Nice USA based clue zooz
There are a lot of reasons Irish whiskey was created. Most of them, we Irish don't speak about. : D
Hi everyone. I just checked to see if Lickety' clues were up......have Sat. October 5, 2013, but it isn't the grid that we have today. Any news on this? Thanks
I heard he is moving house.so no lickety for a while.
Molly & others have list in their profile.
tyvm
Lickety checked in during our late hours and posted clues for yesterday. He said he would check in via cell phone, but nothing for today's grid.
Thanks, zooz and Molly.

ty, Molly and Zooz
I hope it is in there, Min, would be nice for you to cut out and keep it in a scrap book.
Not sure if people keep scrap books anymore.
yes they do, zooz, there is a whole scrapbooking industry
not sure if industry is the right word
I don't do scrapbooking, but I would keep the article or pic
I think they are great for looking back on...so many wonderful memories ca be kept in those.
Hi everybody. Your prayers/ good vibes would be appreciated right now. My Dad has been taken to hospital in a pretty bad way. Its a scary time for us.
When mum died last year we found a tin box with all sorts of her mementoes in. There's even letters she wrote as a young child to her dad in the war. They must have been sent back with his personal effects. Can't go through it all yet.
Hello Soodle! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log
So sorry to hear that, Soodle..prayers being sent.
Oh Soodle, my prayers are with him, you and your family
our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family soodles
At least it is there for when you are ready, Chrissie.

Oh, my dear Soodle, I am so sorry to hear this. I will be praying and sending positive energy for him and the rest of the family. Hugs.
I know this sounds soppy..but i think this babble community is soo caring for one another..so pleased to be part of it.
It is, indeed, comforting, zooz.

Hello toadandtoadette! How are you? Welcome to the grid
Hello Jackanory! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog
Hello min. I'm good. You?
I'm well. Had a nice day at an event raising money 4 ASPCA
May I please have a clue for ha6 that the 7 follows? Thanks
rearrange the last two letters of the previous word....add plural letter
The ha6/21 is like other ha 6/21, just reverse last 2 letters
sorry...it is the next word, not the previous one
Hello penquis! How are you doing today? Welcome to chog
why would they have a world teacher's day on Saturday??....i am fine, thanks...
I have one ha6, it is the Hawaiian word.
second as6/21?
NM
Min, I've tried reversing the last two letters, but I need the other ha6.....only have the Hawaiian word.
ha6/21 doing the puzzle without likety can be a ha6/21
ha6, donut center with a vowel inserted, pluralized
ha6 #2 a bother, troublesome
ah6 #3 swap the last two letters ha6 #2
Good clue Bea, thanks.
I finally finished. It's much more difficult w/out Lickety. We should all go help with the move.
congrats gramma
Clues anyone?
I agree Gramma. I wish Lickety would get a back up so he didn't have to feel so tied to doing this when he has life to deal with.
Well, I'm off to the kitchen. Rueben pizza tonight. Yum!
back to find my last 57 words
Peri, thanks for your good wishes earlier. They are very deeply appreciated.
yvw
Don't know if you're still there Molly, but just read about your nephew. All best wishes and positive thoughts :)
Yeah, I'm still here Liz, thanks. When life gets tough, it's nice to know that people have your back.
Babble is usually a very friendly community and most people do care about each other and try to be supportive! And on that note, it's back to the Sunday house clean!!! :(
Molly, I just came on and read about your nephew. Good thoughts and best wishes for a positive outcome.
Soodle, sorry to hear about your Dad.
Thanks so much Annie.
Sorry - just read about your dad, Soodle - positive thoughts to you too :)
be back soon

After ea 4/4ing 1990 points, I've given up on grid. Now he 4/5 is a story of clues. I ha 4/5 babbling without the list.It is such a ha6/21 to do!I hope Lickety realizes how important his ro4/4 is in Babbleland. He is my Babble he 4/5. When list is not available I think "Ho 4/7 Mother of God,how do people finish grids listle4/4?" When there is no list, I re 4/6 heavily on clues. I po 4/5 over the chog in the archives and get clues from there too. Some clues amu4/6 me.Sometimes I will use lists babblers so kindly put into their profiles, but it's not the same because you cannot drops words into the sl 4/4s on those lists. I wish Lickety could lo 4/4 someone his program so we have a backup. My ma 4/5 sa 6/27ed his way in and sn 5/10ed at me because he wants the laptop.I am going to give it to him so he does not cause a ry 4/6. Now I am going to go watch The Phantom of the Op5/12.Goodbye for now

I bet it tasted good too. have not had that kind of pie in a very long time
so now my project is to nag at Tom until he makes a pie shell I can eat so I can make a lemon meringue pie for us. :-)
are you gluten free, stiddy?
I love lemon meringue pie... Not sure if I like the lemon custard more, or the meringue. :-)
I like the lemon custard more
wheat-free, peri. I can eat barley and rye just fine, but wheat makes me hurt all over.
So ... yeah. gluten free mostly. :-(
I have bught gluten free choc chip cookies at the Giant and Trader Joes that are very good

hi nef
Hello Nef! How are you doing today? Welcome to the chog.
Hi joso and Min. I hope you've both had nice days today. (Watching Ghost Adventures; got distracted by the show)
le 7,40 & 8 please
Cartoon chicken Mr. Foghorn + pl
Thanx Nef, been looking for awhile and was about to give up tyty
yw. :-). I'm hoping to get half way, I'll make it(4 left to find for that); but when I started this AM I thought I'd get a whole lot further than I have.
I've still got 88 to go, Think I will be giving up shortly. My eyes don't want to stay open
I know that feeling way too well lately, pida. Don't fight it; go to bed.
I'm giving it 13 more minutes. then poof
lorans
oops....
okay, I won't bully you into going to bed then. :-)
thanks! That gave me my half way mark! :-D
yw
"yolo" is in the grid, but doesn't count. I don't think that's fair, as I only just learned what it means! LOL
hey all
hi stid; how are you tonight?
I am well, Nef -- did very little with school planning today, needed the break I think. :-) I hung out with Mother, with Grant and with Tom. It has been nice.
how about you?
Been doing lots of babysitting lately; but tonight we went and watched our daughter in a roller derby bout
what fun!
((hugs)) at least I HOPE it was fun?
this is her 5th year at it. I've been worried because she had had viral meningitis month ago; but they were very cautious playing her until the last 10 minutes of the bout. That made me feel better
good. I am glad she survived the meningitis... I didn't hear about that! what a terrible worry that must have been for you.
It was fun! Theme for the night was the Rocky horror picture show (No we didn't dress up! We enjoy watching the rest of the crowd!_
It was viral meningitis, stud. She had 3 ER visits and an Urgent care visit; but because she didn't have a fever or a seizure she was never hospitalized.
*picturing Nef wearing .... * rofl
DANG! Spellcheck doesn't like your name again!
I know -- it's my evil plot to rule the world... eventually spellcheck will give up and never correct my name, and then I will be part of millions of dissertations having to do with horses...
there were a fair number of guys dressed in drag and a couple in gold lame' tight shorts and such. Several women were dressed "to the nines" and retro 50's seemed to be the style...
retro is very "in" anyway -- how could you tell if they were dressed up? *innocent mama look*
I saw Rocky Horror when I was about 22. I was SHOCKED! My friends who were with me couldn't believe I was so "innocent." LOL
I saw it back in the day too; I was so totally clueless I couldn't figure out the story....
I had nightmare with Tim Curry featured prominently for weeks. :-)
Stid, most derby bouts are attended by fairly normal or eccentric people who either dress very normally or dress very outlandishly.
An acquaintance of one of my sons just texted me and asked if I wanted to go to a local nightclub. *grin* I quickly realized he "dialed" a wrong number and responded in the negative... LOL poor kid!
You could definitely pick out the Rocky costumes
I haven't ever been to a roller derby. When they were popular in the 70s I was still pretty young and when they got popular out here a little while I ago my kids were too young. :-)
LOL! One of my daughter's friends is always texting me at odd times about some sort of medical questions. Last night it was related to weight loss and type 2 diabetes. But she knows who she's sending them too too.
*tiptoes in, so as not to disturb. whispers...hello*
hi granny.
hi everyone, Stid, gran Nef
howdy sandy. how's the pony?
Pony is very grumpy as he feels very well but remains on strict diet and locked up
Stid, I would have never attended a bout other than that my daughter became a derby member
hi sandy.
awww, poor pony.
hello stiddy and nef
Stid, how did your house burn down? That is terrible!
(suddenly feeling very sleepy here; trying to stay up for the flip
* gives nef a gentle shake* WAKE UP NEF!!
NEF! NEF! someone poke nef.....she's gone to sleep at her computer.
sorry; yes I did fall asleep. Maybe it's bedtime now
lol, poor nef
good evening, everyone :)
trying to keep up with a 4 year old is hard work at my age
hey nan
