I think I got me a camera to use on my computer. Went to a yardsale over the week end and I found one for five dollars. Brand new,still in plastic with cords ,cd and book..Having a friend checking it out and then when I get time she will teach me how to use it. So far all it needs is batteries

They (whoever they are) say it's going to be a hot dry summer this year. Unusual for us if that happens as summer is our wet season.
It is around 19c here at the moment..but by thursday it is going to be around 10c..the humidity is not too bad though..so things are drying ok.
Brrr! I've sort of forgotten what 10c feels like (happily).

It's funny. LBD says she has had issues with any browser but Internet Explorer. The only browser I have ever had issues with WAS Internet Explorer.

If the site has moved because lickety has, ie he is hosting it on his own machine, then over time the search engines and web address lists will update things.
if lickety is hosting the site from his home connection, your internet provider can take up to 48 hours to update their DNSÂ servers (but taking that long means a really bad provider...). But do try the address I posted, that's the page you're taken to when you click the link

I am in the process of designing my balcony to be a haven for the cats so they can enjoy being outside safely. Can't let them up on the patio wall as my Dodger has seizures and might fall off. Going to use lattice and Rhapis palms to line that wall so they can't jump up and put in some type of pedestals so they can still get up high and see out.

Yes, it is, and it overlooks the courtyard and trees so the cats get to watch birds. They already have the bedroom window for that but they so much want to be outside. Am hoping to be able to put the litter box out there as well and just let them come and go as they please. Might have to get a cat door, though....we'll see.
Yes, my cats are indoor cats too, and our new place has a completely screened-in porch. I thought the cats would spend more time out there than they do, but the dogs also like it so perhaps that makes it less appealing.
My cats have a tendency to demolish screens. They rip into them with claws...bedroom window screen totally demolished on one side. It's mostly them trying to catch bugs they see on them but once they sink claws in, it's difficult to pull back out so they rip the screens....sigh..one must take the bad with the good, alas.
Ah - mine are declawed (which is why they are indoor cats). I didn't declaw them but I did look for declawed cats at the rescue facility.

I'm just glad to finally have a little money again after so long without. I was able to use Deal Chicken to give one of my best friends and his wife a 3-course meal at the Wrigley mansion on top of a mountain that's a members only place...that felt so good. They have really helped me a lot.

she was supposed to have a spinal tap today but they couldn't get it done so she'll have to go back and have it done by the radiologists
oh, that's not good. *sending peace* it's awful to be in pain like that, even for just a week or so
it's really been almost disabling for her - although she's managed to keep up with her graduate studies in spite of it - she did have to cut down to two classes this semester
yes, I am glad that even on days like today (weather migraine) they are nowhere like they used to be. I managed to teach anyway, we'll see what managed to stick tomorrow. But when the migraines were daily while I was in grad school... that was horrible. I couldn't cut back to part time in that program though, so I am glad hers allows it.

with me, the main trigger turned out to be the eye defect, sue -- the splintering of the light entering the eye, and then the additional strain of trying to focus on all the tiny print... have they checked her eyes for things like wrinkled cornea (my issue) and other defects? I don't wear glasses, my eyes are actually 20/20, but all the reading of grad school overtaxed the ability to work around the life-long undiagnosed defect.

I first noticed a "squiggle" in my eyes when I was a young teen, but docs dismissed it for more than three decades as a "floater" -- wasn't until my mother was diagnosed with it that I had something I could ask for testing, and then it turned out there are several women in my maternal line with this defect. Good thing I had boys!

I had to wear glasses as a senior in high school and through Nursing school due to what they called a "lazy eye" I was getting severe headaches from all the reading back then
Then I didn't need glasses again til I was 47 (and ended up with trifocals within 8 years!
wish glasses helped me -- but they make it worse

I'm not sure if I'm up early or up late, since I didn't sleep very well because my brain wouldn't switch off. I've been working on a 'Dexter' continuation for fan fiction and also on a plot blast what- if chart for the latest shock in the plot in Downton Abbey. I won't say what that shock is, since we in UK have the lasest series now and you in USA don't get it until January.

We get a printed TV guide and I go through it to choose what I want to watch and mark it up. We get some really good dramas and documentaries here in UK and there are a lot of good things on US channels, too. You just need to be choosy.

I leave the shoot 'em up stuff to my other half.
I read, cook, write, socialise and fit in TV when I want a sit down.
