Hi all -- forgot the time
hi jilli
hello flosey
where is everyone?
Hello. to everyone
hi everyone
hi sandy
hi pug and sandy
hi pugs and sandy
Hi flosey and jilli
hi jilli and flo hope you are both keeping well and you too pugs
Iam doing just fine and you?
I'm fine, thanks, sandy -- and you?
a little chilly here in margaret river but our pony is fit and fine and jumping out of his skin after being sick but is sad that he is locked up
good to hear he's better, sandy
what was he sick with?
glad he is doing better. Has it started drying up any
And where were you, flosey?
?? when?
he had laminitus which is caused by eating too much - it was my fault as it was stormy i was too lazy to shut him off the very grassy paddocks - worst winter in 30 years here in margs- but still my fault
pugs it has started drying up but we are going to have to buy some cows and sheep to eat all the grass
between 12:50 and 1:15, flosey!
can you mow it or bale it Sandy
wow, not sure, oh, we were helping a friend press her apples
what was happening at that time?
nothing was happening -- silence in the chog!
oh, haven't been in the chog all day
have you finished this grid, flosey?
no, have 8 to go
we can pugs but it has some weeds in it that would not suit hay - we sprayed but we should have sprayed 6 weeks after the hay and clover germinated (we live and learn) the weeds are no good for hay but we think we could make it into silage
halfway here, but not nb anything. Not a nice grid imho.
oh, you mean tonight 12:50 ..... - was getting into jammies
tonight
In a few years you will be an expert at it all--lol
thought you meant this afternoon, jilli
we will but this will be a tourist farmstay - but we have to look after the property anyway
when is you pony show?
I should have said 12:50 grid time
speaking of jammies, flosey, did you ever order any from that website?
it is not a serious show but we are taking my friend's kids in the fancy dress with the pony - just some fun
two weeks away
we have showed for years I am sick of it- too much work- now we are learning natural horsemanship with our Welsh D which my daughter is breaking in
no, still wearing long Ts found one the kids brought back from one of the sunny south islands
LOL flosey, what is the pyjama site?
adn that was more than 15 years ago, wow, I am a pack rat
I understand that. It is alot of work before and afterwards
That website had LOTS of long Ts!!!
I am sooo good at plaiting up Pugs - it took me four years to perfect it!
can't remember sandy - as I said, it was before they had a son and he is 15
sandy -- Lands' End -- LL Bean too.
I love comfy pjs
ok jilli thanks i will peruse it
I do have one pr of silk jammies that have very loose elastic in waist that are comfortable
flosey, I have things I broought here with me 17 years ago and they were old even then!
and do have a look at that site, flosey!
lol, this is when we were living in ON, so before 95
will jilli - lot on my plate right now, Van for the weekend, home for a week then off to ON for 3 weeks

pug and sandy -- if you don't know, this coming weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving.
no, I didnt--you having a huge dinner
*slides in sideways, in the tutu* helloooo my friends. have a lovely day. went out with a dear friend for lunch, op shopping and afternoon tea.
you just popping in and out?:(
nah, am here for a while, hun. home now, and ready to chat...
Did you get anything good while out shopping? Oh and hello too and hugs
hi all & FW
hi joso
wow w2g Joso and howdy and congrats to you too Rose on your fws
bought a large print crossword book for mother mac for christmas. found myself another black leather handbag with a shoulder strap, and a pair of burgundy leather slip-on shoes. oh, and 8 more coffee mugs for work. total cost...$21. not bad!
WTG JOSO!!!
sorry jilli was concentrating on the grid - I had no idea that Canadians had thanksgiving - we dont have anything like that here
sure isnt for all that
man you really go through coffee mugs
are they for x-mas gifts at work
I go through a lot of wine glasses
*giggle* used to take just a mug for myself to drink from. even after i labelled it, someone else would use it and leave it dirty on the sink.
so now i buy a heap of nice mugs, put them in the tearoom, and there ia always a nice mug clean for me to use
or do you just need a lot of affirmations, world' greatest nurse, worlds greatest mom, worlds sexiest woman, world's finest bareback roo rider, worlds best babbler, .....
lol
Hey! who is the world's best babbler - not me that's for sure
and because i pay so little for them, i don't care if others are careless and chip them. i just chuck them out and replace them.
well at this time I would have to go with mitch
I like picking up nice coffee mugs at yardsales and used stores. When I get too many I take them to the campgrounds to use
uh, joso. world's best babbler title belongs to someone else, certainly not me. everything else i put my hand up, including the roo riding...lol
I am having trouble with the first three as s - are they correct? as5/12 as6/21 as5/18 is that correct?
Lots of roos here , that is for sure
yes sandy. use a high point tile for as5/18
the first 2 are a + not front or back
thanks gran got that one
nice sandy...
LOL joso, sometimes i cannot see for looking
thank you
duh, joso, just understood the post re world's greatest etc. I'M NOT SLOW it's the way my mother dresses me...lolol
too much explaining about the mugs I think, do you pitch them at people when you get mad, or goo to the loo and smash one when frustrated, hmmmm
very clever joso
a joke based on the fact that some mugs come with that stuff printed on them.
yeah, mate...i finally got it...
But I doubt you are the type that needs that much propping up, or I wouldn't have made such a joke.
feels great when someone gives you one, kind of sad when you buy it for yourself
oops have to go hang out washingon the paddock fence LOL bbl
bye Sandy
bye sandy
see you later sandy
I was assistant manager at a store and got a world's greatest boss mug in the gift exchange, my boss didn't, he saw testy for days. lol
saw ---> was
oh, dear, joso. can understand his attitude, but the best man won, surely..
did you offer it to him?
hehehe, no. turns out he was a schemer, he evidently felt threatened by me and told the owner a pack of lies and got me fired latter on. Met the owner about a year later and he said it was the worst decision he ever made.
thats awful, Joso
from my point of view it came like a bolt from the blue, but was not a great hardship to me at the time.
awww, joso. something similar happened to me. a superior felt threatened because i was better organised than her.
yea, life happens, including petty people
the only bad thing was that it was the last time I was fit, being on my feet all day was all I needed. Got an easier, better paying, job but bulked out again
so what happened with your situation rose?
yeah, joso. know what you me4. since not working have put the weight on. started light 'n' easy diet..and lost a couple of pounds.
good thinking rose, better to catch it before you are 300 lbs
joso, i left...decided my kids needed me more than she did. that was the year my income dropped by $37K.
that must have been quite an adjustment, save a bit on daycare or anything?
lol, mate...they were all school age, and suicidal because of the way their father had treated them. i really needed to be with them 24/7 at home..
My mom was a nurse, I used her cape for a dracula costume one halloween
to this day i cannot say how we got through that time. i paid for food, education and clothing for 3 growing boys, paid all the household bills, plus paid off a mortgage and credit card...
oh yeah, joso...my cape was red.
what did you do for money, become a hit man, few hour, decent pay
mom's was a very dark navy blue, with bright red lining, perfect for drak
lol, joso. i qualified for a single parent pension back then.
i also delivered flowers for a local florist. it kept the wolves from the door.
do they still have uniforms in oz, or have they moved on to the pastel smocks we have here?
if you are asking about schools...most of them have uniforms. however our primary schools can be quite relaxed, and if the family cannot afford to buy the uniform, kids are allowed to wear what is available from the wardrobe.
no, I meant nurses
They wear tutus
Right rise?
joso, our major teaching hospitals have a uniform. most have adopted scrubs as a geneal rule.
one does anyways
Rose?
lolol...chrissie...hello hun
hey chrissy
Hi rose, joso, pug :)
private hospitals have a different attitude. they supply a uniform which reflects the company which owns the hospital.
I imagine scrubs are easier, but i think it's a shame. some professions deserve the dignity of a uniform, and I think nursing is one of them. uniforms for kids though is not such a great idea.
bet the doc's haven't lost the lab coats
good morning dear friends
i'm back, hi sprite
and everyone else
*rattles some cages*
hi sandy :)
How are you going today Sprite, I have only the k s left - i bet you finish before me
lol, morning sprite
{{hugs and kisses}} spritey, your card arrived today. thanx sooo much
am glad, rose! It took its time, lol.
hi Chrissie :)
joso, just emailed you. could you please respond soonest?
sandy, am ok today. Just having breakfast. And just started on the Ks, still need 4. After that, all the other words.
Ha! I have 7 left lol

hi joso :)

ok, Ks killed, now for some babbling
yay, sprite. i know how much you love k words....
How are things with you, Mrs Sprite
5 left now - you better get to it sprite
yes it's right rose, and flosey has been in touch thanks to you, I apparently put an extra period in the address i put in the chog
lol sandy
hiya pug *hug* Am good. Having breakfast, ain't I a good little soldier? And how are you all doing today?
ahhh, good joso....so glad you two are 'talking'
Iam fine and am eating breakfst too--yogurt and coffee
wow good, pug. Yoghurt here as well. With an apple, a banana and specialK.
you got that all mixed together? sounds good
yes, all together.
3 left here sprite
go sandy gooooo
*giggle* i have mixed up a bag of toasted muesli with slivered almonds. have a tablespoonful with yoghurt if and when i feel hungry.
I like it with the grapenuts cer. havent tried the special K
Are you lot on diets?
oh very nice, rose
i am, sandy
Iam not, just like yogurt
not a diet for me, sandy. Battling an eating disorder. Am getting therapy for it.
okay, dinner ready...see you later if you are here. xoxox if you are not. lolol
I have lost weight since we moved to this farm, just through more activity
sprite that is good to hear - good eating is important
bye rose :) Enjoy your dinner
bye Rose, enjoy and hugs if I miss your come back
yeah well, I agree in theory. But practically I am making a mess of it all and right now I feel pretty obstinate about it all.
Does therapy for eating disorders help Sprite?
am in my 3rd week, sandy, too early to tell. But it seems to have helped a lot of people before me.
It is the hardest thing to be disiplined about eating
Hang in there spritey!!! you can do it!
yeah. When you are addicted to smoking or drugs or alcohol, you can ban it from your life. But when it is food, you have to deal with it all the time.
I agree, it is the hardest thing - I have come to realise that for me it is the amount of exercise that i do - but every one is different
yes and an eating disorder is different from just overeating or eating the wrong stuff.
don't really understand that sort of disorder and I suppose most of us dont understand
Sprite have you had that from childhood
most people don't, sandy, it is true
true sprite, unless you start living by intravenous drip you have to have food, and with diabetes you need to control rather tan eliminate.
(2 left)
*tHan
pug, I have hated food from around the time I was 4. Started binging around 16.
go sandy go
I know, joso. And right now I feel like I will never conquer this thing.
You can conquer everything Sprite you just need to keep going with it. But I bet its sooo hard.
Now Sprite that kind of talk is not going to help you! Think Positive!
I think things get easier as you go along if you can get through the first weeks
of course you will, you are not allowed to kill yourself by food, or any other means, too few good people in the world and we need you here to give the good guy's an edge. And besides, I'd miss you.
and the secret is not to expect immediate results and to forgive yourself if you fall off the wagon but make sure you get back on
I hope so. Last therapy day the 'senior' members told us how hard it still is for them and how they have trouble managing their emotions. It was pretty discouraging.
I agree with Joso 100%
aw joso, thanks :)
sprite is there certain things that you go for when binging
yeah, and not waiting until the next day with climbing back on... to remember that you can get back on straight away after a misstep. Pffff. I know the theory.
but to make it daily practise.... is hard
I can imagine that it is one of the hardest things to do
several, pug
can you remove those things from your home and just have healthier things in case an attack comes on
I don't have them in our home, unless other people eat it too. Like cheese.
well thats better than sugar products
it isn't as simple as that, alas.
i hate being a diabetic... no way around it. i just plain hate it.. and i dont manage it well..so im hearing you sprite. loud and clear
Well , I wish you well with it Sprite, but now I have finished and have to go. bye to everyone and see you soon
good to hear, ivesy! It is such a battle, all the time.
thanks sandy. WTG on finishing!
bye Sandy
It is a battle everyday
yes, constantly.. i take a shot , pills. and i just dont know what to eat or not to eat. its a very scary disease
I agree. Some things are clear... eat that and the BS skyrockets. But other stuff is much less direct. And of course I yearn for the stuff I shouldn't take.
and it dont help that food is advertized all over the place either
oh sprite, im a sweet freak! and junk food. and coca cola.. (not diet puleeezzzz..lol)oh yeah and i smoke
and in the clinic they are nagging me about using margerine on my bread. I just don't want it, it tastes bad. But they say it is the only way to get some of the vitamins (K, A, D, E). I think they are wrong.
I often wonder if the chem. put into most all foods dont play into diabetic illnesses
and some meds i take for coughing.. make my bs go up oover 500
oh, me too, ivesy! Sweets, and junk food, and fanta for me.
cant u just take a supplement for those spirte. .my A , D are low..
oh... that is bad, ivesy. How nasty.
god, feels so much better telling the truth about this !!lol
you have copd too Ivesy
Everybody has things that scare them, and sometimes you can work around them, like getting hubby to remove the creepy crawly in the shower. But sometimes you must deal with them. you have sorta worked around your food issues long enough to get diabetes, now you have to face this fear. You have to take back control of this part of your life. you understand this, you understand why, you know it will be hard and a long haul. But you know, if you look deep into your heart of hearts, you can do this. sit back, close your eyes, envision a cheeseburger, in detail, give it all the garnishes you like, paint a good mind picture. now ask yourself, is this the boss of me, it it in charge or am I. and respond, no, If I need to I will eat you, if I don't need you I can let you grow cold greasy and disgusting on the plate, I am so the boss here I can have some of you and leave the rest. I can take half and stop, I can take the pickles and walk away.
I already do. The dietician claims it is not the same. But I think she is wrong. I take fish oil and vit. D supplements. And we use some fat when cooking. Not much, but I think it is enough.
wow joso, good text. Good advice even.
lol ivesy, isn't it! So good to not pretend.
been there joso, done that.. i always thought i was a strong person.. dealing with my sons addiction and such...i just dont have the energy to deal with it. and the scary part is most times i just dont care
amature advice, if your pro's think it's a bad idea then scrap it, but i hope it helps.
that is it. That is it exactly. That feeling of... what the hell, who cares, I sure don't. So I will die sooner... doesn't even sound so bad.
Well said Joso. I am trying to lose some weight. Not yet overweight but need to take control and now I will think of your words. Impressive.
hi Pat, good luck :)
it all comes down to control and wanting to do it. if we dont want to we wont.... this is something that has to be dealt with EVERY single day.i know there are people who do it and with much worse disease.. im just not one of them.
i even have a book that shows exactly what to eat for each meal.. and how much.. its a very pretty book......lol
oh and i lost 35 lbs.. my sugar levels did not go down. so there goes that myth.
Ta Sprite.
ok, done ranting.. just felt so good sprite to hear someone else feel the same way.
it is a vicious circle. I try to eat regularly and regular stuff, and it makes me feel bad. Feeling bad is something I used to deal with by not eating or binging. So now I have a huge urge to skip meals and binge in the evening. But I can't cause hey, diabetes and the works, and not going to therapy for nothing, so I eat... with long teeth... and don't binge... and the emotions run higher and higher... and at some point something goes snap and I binge, or skip several meals, and then I feel bad about it.
oh, come on sprite, you know your dietitian knows better than you, you may not like what she says but you know she is right. denial ain't facing it, and ain't going to help.
I would wish for you it was easier, ivesy, but it is great to talk with someone who really understands :)
what's the point of employing experts if you are not going to listen to them.
sure is sprite .. :)
joso, we are talking about a lady who sits with us at lunch with scales! Weighing a slice of bread before and after buttering to see how much butter is on it.
oh god sprite.. i think i would have to shoot her..
and yeah, I hear you. But the butter thing is a biggie. Am not at all convinced that what she says is how it is. Have the feeling she wants to make us eat uniform meals.
I agree isvey, diabetes is a great pain in the patootie, would rather break a leg than have this constant niggling pain in the butt disease
lol ivesy! I certainly had fire in my eyes, grin.
lol joso.. ty.. dont get me wrong. i respect your opinion... kind of like people telling me kick your kid out your life cuz he is an addict. you arent living it. u dont understand it.
joso is living it though, ivesy. He has diabetes as well, alas.
ok i was just going to ask that.. u must do well with it joso.. you have a great attitude...
joso has helped me a lot with good advice, right from the moment I knew I had diabetes.
ah ivesy, so much easier to give advice that to heed it, i am far from perfect.
but you sound like you have control over it.. thats good. i wish i did. ..i wish i wanted to.. i
the best advice, keep getting back on the horse, because you fail does not mean you should stop trying.
the way I see it, right now it is important I learn to eat 6 times a day. And to try and aim for foods that will not skyrocket the BS. And to not have binges. As for whether I butter my bread or not and how much I put on it, that is for some other day. Maybe.
sounds ok to me sprite, get the broad strokes then fine tune.
also, exercise. I make sure I do more of that now. And if that isn't good enough, the heck with it, it will have to do for now.
coffee is calling. bbs..ps.. i dont use sugar in my coffee.... but i do have a smoke with it
I havent been to bed yet and Iam getting tired here, so many hugs to you all and I pray for you all each day. Enjoy your day/evening and may God Bless you each. nighty nite
exactly joso. It is impossible to change everything around overnight and stick with it.
night pug, I hope you will sleep well
g'nite pug, rest well
but don't dismiss the dietitian, don't lie to yourself. you know that she knows what she is talking about, it will have to be addressed eventually. know that you are, for now, setting it aside. undermine her in your own mind and you are just throwing away one of your tools.
but she is human too, joso. She can be wrong as well. I have been reading up on it and it seems to be common knowledge that you can compensate for not using butter on your bread.
as you wish sprite, of course she is human, and as such can be wrong. and the more likely answer is the dietitian is wrong and the person with food issues is right. One of the problems with being very bright is you can think rings around other people. Being able to win a debate doesn't mean you are right, it means you are a better debater.
lol that is true. But I think it is good to stay critical and research things. Taking everything I am told as gospel is going to give me huge problems later on.
absolutely, and if butter is too much, dealing with 6 meals and not binging are the more important things. but the rest of it, sounds like a lot of rationalization, don't like the fact, question the source. like those who refuse to face global warming while quant old holland sinks beneath the waves.
It may be, joso. I will keep it in mind. I have done some research and will bring it to therapy next week, so she can tell me where I went wrong, ok?
Ok, if you approach it as seeking an answer or solution, not a contest you must win because you don't like her.
I actually do like her. And I am willing to be convinced I am wrong if she has good points. Just not willing to take something like this without researching if it is true.
joso i apologize if i came across as bi tchy. u do know your stuff. you have good ideas.
*hugs ivesy*
im just so very tired..
you have every reason to be tired, ivesy. You have lots of worries and stresses, apart from the diabetes and diet and all. Wish I could make your load a little lighter :(
ty sprite.. helps having people to talk to. tween the trhee of us, mb we can do it.
we can :) And we will. And in between we nag a bit and commiserate.
sounds like a plan :)
:)
hope i didnt scare joso off lol
hehehe I am certain you didn't. Just some real life interfering, or some babbling.
you didn't strike me as bitchy at all ivesy
no, you didn't scare me off either, thought I'd do a quick e-mail check that stretched out longer than i thought.
glad for that... :) u seem to have a handle on it. wont hurt for me to listen for a change...
ivesy, I just read something that clicked for me... to make changes to our eating patterns with one step a month. Just one step. And to start with the easiest. Like... from now on I will eat breakfast.
let me see if I can find the link
one step a month seems do able....i will try to work on that c what i can come up with
here it is: http://tinyurl.com/k63h6co
It took me a good few months to get all the right habits after I was diagnosed 10 years ago but now its just normal, just try and be as good as you can sprite. Hope you don't mind me butting in.
ty sprite .. got it. bookmarked it..
don't mind at all, witchy, I appreciate it. Good to hear it can become normal.
great, ivesy.
i guess what makes me mad is that i have a great book that shows me what to eat for each meal.. i just dont put the effort into it.. i dont know how to be a diabetic!
well maybe that is because we tend to try for all or nothing? Maybe if you can pick out one new habit that will benefit you which doesn't seem too hard, and you do only that for a month, before moving on to a next one, it will become routine?
Basically ivesy just stop eating everything nice!
Basically ivesy just stop eating everything nice!
lolol.... ok, that helps..... NOT :P
lol witchy.. thats what im afraid of. . and sprite that is a good plan. . will think long and hard about what i want to start with...
Later when your sugars are more settled you can start eating a few nice things in moderation.
that is also good to know
see thats my problem, i want to eat junk in large amounts.... lol.. chocolate, cola cookies.. or and donuts from tim hortons....dont think these are in my book...:(
probably not... :(
but ..... when i do my shot as scheduled my a1c goes down.. even if i eat awful.... so kind of fakes it doesnt it.
Why are our bodies so complex and why do all the "bad" foods taste so good?
yeah... they tell me it is important to keep the BS as much level as possible. The dips and highs do damage.
yes,, im afraid of the dips and highs. im afraid of the damage it may have done already
one thing I have learned, Chrissie, is that if we don't eat for a while, especially when we skip a meal, our body needs energy so badly it makes us yearn for quick fixes. Junk food and chocolate and such.
chrissy.. come up with a way to make choc taste awful..... lol
Trying (unsucessfully) to improve my diet and include some exercise in my life, for different reason than you guys, and your stories and tips are heloful
as i said i lost 35 pounds.. didnt do a thing for my levels..
that is quite a lot, ivesy, well done.
I read a great sf novel, brain wave, some time ago. The premise was the earth had been traveling through a field that dampened electrical activity for the last billion years or so and emerged. the primary effect was that human intelligence jumped by 10 fold and reaction speed improved too. one of the effects was that everybody started to drive faster, due to their better reaction speeds with about the same number of accidents as before. to a degree they were right about what they could now handle. But, because of the new speeds, almost all accidents were now fatal for all involved, now more wounded. I played with this idea in my head for a while, and what i came up with was that even very smart people are stupid in some ways. Which I have seen again and again since.
i want to eat right, stop smoking and exercise. course i aslo want to win the lottery and that isnt going to happen either
But probably good for your body in many other ways ivesy, well done
ty chrissie..
too true, joso, too true. And the smarter, the stupider.
ah joso so true
and now im starved lol.. i actually bought some little mini sponge cakes...course the butter wont help
oh yea, smart people can be so clever about how to be stupid.
Sprite, I'll take that info on board. I usually skip breakfast
me too, Chrissie. Trying to learn not to. Found that I can handle a yoghurt breakfast better than bread.
funny, my son eats so healthy...
well that is a good thing :)
I do a piece of fruit and a raisin bran muffin, too much sugar in the muffin, but the bran and fruit are good.
but doesnt some fruit have too much sugar. i get confused on that
Does too much natural sugar in fruit effect diabetes?
sounds ok too. I am doing an apple, a banana and yoghurt, with specialK flakes. Seems to be ok.
Snap :)
sounds good too sprite.
the sweeter the fruit the more the sugar, but it is fructose rather than refined sugar, takes longer to get into the blood stream instead of being plunked all at once. a better way to take sugar, but still sugar. bananas over oranges, pears over apples, grapefruit over pineapple, rtc.
I'm floundering with my quest because I can't actually get any firm advise. No one can say eat this, don't eat, this, don't drink this and you'll be ok
no, it is always a personal thing, isn't it. We react so differently on different foods. And our moods and hormones affect it too.
yea, it's not poison vs non poison, it's degrees of poison.
even celery has some sugar
i used to eat half grapefruit and piece of toast for breakfast. now i cant get grapefruit becuz of the lipitor....
stress makes sugar levels soar.. so does colds and flu.
same for me, no grapefruit anymore.
lipitor? I don't follow
True joso, so much conflicting info out there too. I've just given up margarine 'cos it's basically refined plastic, but the butter police are after sprite
suppose we could sub a half an orange . i might try that.
too true. I couldn't get the BS down even with medication. Until we had finished our first meeting with the youth counsellor and the tension in our home when down... and so did my BS. Same afternoon.
after her to eat some
No, weighing how much she uses
joso: medication against high cholestorole, you are not allowed to eat or drink grapefruit while taking it. Something in the grapefruit makes it work too well and you get sick.
I am supposed to eat 5 grams of butter on every slice of bread. But I hate the taste. Always have.
i would rather have the grapefruit.. eating a good breakfast would lower cholestrol
So the first solution is to eliminate all stress from our lives, easy ! :(
lolllllll indeed!
ah, tnx sprite. fortunately not a problem of mine. I deserve high cholesterol, but have been lucky on that score.
let's see... I can reduce the stress and lose 120 pounds at once....
whom are you going to chuck from your family sprite
Makes me giggle when you refer to BS levels, think of alternative meaning for BS
lol joso, you got me... i would have to kick my boy out... but I won't. He is trying and so are we, and we will get through this as a family.
lol joso, you got me... i would have to kick my boy out... but I won't. He is trying and so are we, and we will get through this as a family.

Good morning all...no work (paid) today. Will babble until warms up enough to go out and finish harvesting the garden.
Hi Jilly
Is it just you and me hego...oh and a hundred lurkers...LOL
lol
a little tough today.
And lots of weird words....
*lurks*
well. the k's i always have to monkey.
uh oh
Hello buggie....Love your kitty!! I have one to match!
hi Buggie
hey hey, and thanks
looks like Crossy's cat Amos
Although no need to state the obvious, everyone loves Salem ;-)
Mine is Ben...and yours looks like a Bombay as well
And Salem loves everyone....I bet
crossy and Amos say goodmmorning to all our babble friends
lol speak of the Devil!
we have two bombay kitties, Amos and sirius Black
Hello crossy....3 days until we head to our Canadian wedding!! But,sadly, it looks like it will not work out to see either Flosey or Jillibus :(
where is it being held?
that's too bad Jilly.
Short time frame and Flosey heading to Toronto, Jilli's schedule won't work with ours...but now that we have our passports, we will be back
Yes, Salem likes to make sure he's the centre of attention, any visitors get a proper welcome, and massage and makes sure they don't get cold =^-.-^=
in toronto it is???
must go hagd All
The wedding...too cool, at the Fairmont in Vancouver on Wed
darn..thousands of miles from crossy:(((((
Buggie...Is he a 'shoulder' cat...likes being held up on shoulder?
Etimology: Amos: proper name; third of the prophets in the Old Testament; from Greek, from Hebrew Amos, literally "borne (by God)."
Oh dear crossy....another on our bucket list is to take the train across Canada....we may just meet yet!!
lol, funny thing is Amos is not a snuggly sort his hunter-killer instincts are way up there.Sirius Black however is a cuddly puss
no, he's too big for that, he weighs 6.5kg (he's not overweight, just big), but he loves to sit on laps, or stomachs are even better, and if he can sprawl over your arms too...
i have seen your kitties pic on the net often, buggie
Since changing keyboard layout and learning to type with all my fingers, it's a lot easier to type on the computer when I have him sprawled out over both arms
LOL, our other one was about that big...we just had to develop strong shoulders!!
Etimology: Salem: place mentioned in Gen. xiv:18, from Hebrew Shalem, usually said to be another word for Jerusalem and to mean "peace" (cf. Hebrew shalom, Arabic salaam). Common as a Baptist and Methodist meetinghouse name, so much so that by mid-19c. it (along with Bethel and Ebenezer) had come to be used in Britain generically to mean "non-conformist chapel."
on the net? you mean on Babble? (I do chat here from time to time)
no,if that icon is your cat,i have seen it often
Good morning o-o Enjoying your etimology tidbits!
Really? Hrm, who's been stealing my pics... Yes, this is my cat in the pic, taken about 5 years ago on my mobile phone
because i swear i have seen it elsewhere, but it may just me my mind short cuircuiting
and now it is time for crossy's tidbit of the day!!!!! big bird is 8 feet 2 inches tall:)
well we've chatted on here before, and if you play games on facebook you might have Salem's profile in your friends list
that is most likely where i saw it then
our black panthers both have a set of claws just like that :)
i have beem punctured many times:/
brb....
same here, I've had to stitch holes in all my jumpers...
like when they are in your lap and really happy because you are giving the on top of the head scratchies, they open and close their paws in joy and the claws start digging in
Salem just never learnt to put his claws away, so he gets caught on things all the time. Kind of funny when we're playing with his string on the sofa, he pounces and gets both paws stuck and still tries to catch the string with just his mouth
Amos thinks everything that moves under our bed blanket is prey and pounces and gets stuck
before these 2 bombays, i used to be able to walk around the house neeked if i so desired, but not longer because some thing are NOT dangle toys!!!
MisterBuggie: http://tinyurl.com/nb54ntp
Oh Salem attacks the duvet, only his claws are long enough to go all the way through. I usually shriek
sigh..yes, the cat own our home as well.us humans are well trained
OMG how on earth did you turn up my LJ?
Hello everyone - I am thinking of getting a kittie when my ex finally moves out. I have never had a kittie before (always dogs)
is amazing what can be done on the interwebs
i highly recomend a black kitty, riverdance.they are great!!
rescue one from a shelter and give it a forever home
Yes, kitties are great! I couldn't be without mine
that was my plan crossy
I got mine from a shelter when he was 3
i have had many cats but it seems to me that our bombays are very very smart and more personable
I definitely know I need a companion but I want the flexibility of not having to rush home every day if something comes up so a dog will not work for me.
I am going to miss my Tori terribly when he takes her.
at need we can set up our cats for a 4 day abscence if needed
not much more than 4 days however
(((River)))
but is def much more latatude than a dog
that would work for me and if I go away for a week I can always make sure that Keith can stop by to check on it
Our issue is the catbox....
that is why 4 days is the max.two litterboxes for our 3 cats can go 4 days max
catbox? YOu mean I cant just open the door for them to go out like the dog.......lol!
ahh we do not feed our cats to cars on the road or coyotes in the hills.ours are indoor kitties
“Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.†~Robert A. Heinlein
I am only kidding crossy - mine would be an inside cat also
that is well
Ours are indoor kitties as well...
rue words, o-o
so true o-o

good morning :)
there was a time when I could complete these grids without lickety --no more! Is it the ageing me or are the words getting more weird?

ty!
fortunately, a lot of the weird words were four or five letters...

hi molly :)
ok - really off to my book now!
ed5/122...damn, that is a lot of points for a five letter word : D
lol
ed 5/22 means to make clear. I thought it meant to build up? Help me here
Apparently it means both. To build up and to enlighten.
ty Molly

I keep seeing bichons around here, I guess they're popular in France, not like chow monsters
I never understand how clues don't work and do work. ed5 ends in two high point tiles didn't work. But ed + vowel + two high point tiles did work.
because I am in a particularly dim state, molly

stats for the ci 4 please?
I really do wish it would stop raining now. I have swept/raked leaves/mud from the grates at the bottom of the driveway 2x today!. the first time when it was not raining to prevent flooding. but a couple of hours later it poured and the street at the end of the driveway was flooded. so I had to do it again. no one else is home but if they were it would not matter.
I do not think my neighbor is home but one of the grates is on her side of the driveway.
no ci4, ci5/16
flosey clue please?
there are several grates along the street before our house but if they are clogged the water flows down here and pools if the grates are clogged.
peri is it a shared driveway?
I am finding this grid to be very hard

No, she was spot on. Had to put it back in the oven and bake at 375
hi west
oh good..I copied the recipe but was waiting until I saw you again
what is in the recipe beside zucchini?
2 c cooked brown rice, 3 zucchini, an onion, 28 oz plum tomatoes, 5-6 basil leaves, 2 garlic cloves, salt & pepper to taste, 4 oz shredded jack cheese (i used pizza cheese) 3 Tbsp parm, 1/4 c breadcrumbs, i added a red bell pepper, and a bit of sugar and oregano to the sauce. it was layered, rice, sauce, zucchini, cheese & breadcrumbs, sauce, onions, zucchini, sauce, 375 for 1.5 hrs
monkeys are up from their nap
here's my copy peri
rice, other veggies [I added eggplant], toato sauce
looks good
it's a monkey kind of day
good for vegetarians and the gluten free crowd
kind of a take on eggplant parm. sounds good.
bichon did you slice or chunk the eggplant?
Sliced, but salted first to draw out the bitter juices
good idea
brb
I guess the glutens couldn't have the breadcrumbs though..maybe some corn meal ?
West : ) I love "the glutens".
I know. Sounds like munchkins or some other little people, doesn't it?
I was thinking the dietary challenged neighbors of The Tudors.
YaY the little mouse on the swing is back...LOVE IT!
: )
Are there any sliced tomatoes in that recipe?
are they bellicose?
think canned tomatoes
just a 28 oz can of plum tomatoes bea
bet sliced tomatoes would be good though
There was no eggplant in the recipe, but I thought it would go well. Just put in what you like
Yes, I have a similar recipe that uses sliced tomatos.
what is your recipe called Bea ?
I think it is a vegetable tiana?
tian
thanks, I'll look that up
And fireworks for me...phew..this grid took a long time.It was becoming TE 7/36
lots of recipes out there
tian? never heard of it
34 left and stuck again
Yay zooz !! you're right about the te7/36
Happy babbling, everyone...byeee!...*poof*

moving into some english classes very soon by end of next week i believe]
I do miss true autumn. Need any more viewing suggestions yet for the Roku?
nope.my schedules is packed as far as netflix goes
i ended up getting a smart hdtv though.no roku needed.tv does it all
There is just so much to find there. So nice to watch want you want when you want, right? And no commercials.
thing sucks up what it needs right from my wireless modem
i should of done netflix soomer mimi
Clever of you, crossy. I'm waiting for the day when absolutely everything will be wireless.
sooner
and no honey boo boo!
PLEEEEASE....I have never watched that show but have seen it referenced many times. If I want to watch ugly people doing stupid things, I just have to open my blinds and watch my neighbors!
Sorry if that was unkind.
mimi you are right on
lol.i still have no idea what language they were speaking
TY, cat!
I kind of don't get most of the reality show phenomenon. Hey, I watch TV to ESCAPE reality!
an5 please?
our Canadian netflix (I signed up about 2 weeks ago) does not have anywhere near the amount that that USA does.
Must admit I do watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette, though. It has become a kind of game for me. The first episode of each new one, I write down all the guys/gals and "critique" them. Last time I have all of the finalists from Day ONE!
I think the USA must want to keep us as occupied as possible so we won't concentrate on how badly our government is screwing up....and screwing us over.
good one mimi!
wait until they
And you don't have Hulu there either, right? It's great because I can stream current shows to my TV the next day instead of watching on my computer. They also have a lot of older shows that I like.
HUL
oops sorrrry
Prompted by AARP, I just wrote my Senator (McCain...ugh) and representative yesterday to ask they not take senior benefits away and state that those who have been made wealthy by the loopholes our government provided now be held responsible for taking the lion's share of paying down the deficit.
Don't get me wrong...I will always love this country and am still proud to be an American but we have MANY issues and I'm not seeing anyone truly stepping up to fix things. I doubt many incumbents will be reelected next time....people are MAD...with good reason.
i mean as far as those of us on the outside are concened,a few insiders closing down an entie government because the do not like the idea o health cae for all smacks o idiocy
my k is acting up so please forgive he gibberish
kb
Oh, yeah, crossy....plenty of stupid to go around in the government. We are now at a stage when I fear we totally lack any sense of unity as a people. That is very sad to me.
that is part of the problem..unity to many still think of it as "i can afford my own insurance driven health care.why should i pay for him wih MY axes?"
taxes
Sometimes it's a lot to deal with personally....got the whole ME mindset going on and then have a big plate of crazy with this doctor I still can't understand. And people wonder why I need vodka?!!
here, if you work, you pay for health care.everyone is covered.period.easy eh?
Afternoon everyone. Looking for 2 clues please.
DI 6/24 and SC 6/24 please and thank you.
We should have had something like that in place a LONG time ago, crossy. I've been going without medical care that I very much need for quite some time because I can't afford it and have no insurance. In this country that is ridiculous.
May move to Canada....are Americans welcome there now, crossy?
you are welcome anytime ,mimi
Sc+Mickey m----
di + it's of no *** to me (I don't need it)
we all pay for health care together because we are all going to need i.here is no way around i.we will all need health care sometime in our lives
ty for that di - my last d
yw
Sorry, folks, but just gotta say crossy is the sweetest man on the planet.
ah, but don't you realize, crossy, that is a slippery slope right into communism!
well,at least i will be a communist who did no die of cancer a 43!
better dead than red!
Hi, kje! Gotta disagree a bit. Communism was, as a philosophy, an excellent idea that just didn't work on a practical level. But I think taking care of one's citizens is a primary and important function of government.
common over to the dark side
Practically speaking, keeping people healthy is less expensive than treating their advanced illnesses.
mimi - i am for a single payer system... I was being sarcastic... the rhetoric the extreme right is throwing around is absurd. America will not end if we have the ACA
or more specifically, if the tea party fails to overthrow the ACA since we already officially have it as law
if you die of something stupid and preventable in he us, it matters not what you political beliefs are
Dear kje, I know you could not live where you do and not be sensitive and responsive to others....sigh...so miss California.
more importantly, mimi - I ma a physician who has worked at safety net hospitals and seen the outcomes of our stupid system
and i hear that they say "we do not want the government running your healthcare"..do not worry..they are closed anyways lol
When i was younger I used to believe you basically get what you deserve in life. Though that may be absolutely true from a karmic perspective, it is not at all true as viewed from this plane of existence.
I am constantly amazed at how UNcommon common sense really is.
kje.does not timely treatment in the end cost less hat waiting for a condition to ecome serious enouh o warran a clinic in he usa?
oh wow, mimi... just looked. you are in arizona! I'm sorry ; ) I sympathize. I just moved out here from TX, your crazy neighbor
Thank you for your sympathy, kje. And, yes, I need it and will take it. It's impossible to live here with my political opinion...people want to hurt me if I actually speak. It is truly a desert...both geographically and politically. See why I want to MOVE?!
that is where we save $$ in timely treaatment
My entire mindset is northern California...wish I could afford it...would be there YESTERDAY!
american politics from state confuzzles crossy..
there are usually pockets of sanity everywhere, mimi (ie: austin in TX)... don't have t live here
thanks Cam
You're absolutely right, crossy. Early detection and treatment are the keys to keeping costs down. Here we just wait until there's a crisis and it costs WAY more to deal with illness then. I'm almost to that point myself but am tenaciously hanging in there until Jan. when my Medicaid will finally kick in. I would have had it much sooner but we have a governor who shouldn't even be dog catcher...the woman is certifiable. Don't even get me started on that. You know, I've stayed here because my kids are here, but since they've been totally unsupportive and dismissive of their mother, I'm going to move.....why suffer with NO payoff.
Yes, kje, you are right. Two of my best friends here are a guy who is a tenured prof in astrophysics at ASU and his wife. Oh, the anguish we share at living here.
My godson is pursuing his PhD in Washington, D.C. and cannot wait to move back to Berkeley....I understand completely.
indeed, mimi.if your family are off doing their own thing, there is no need to sit there and suffer
I have the ma7... what does the other start with?
nm
te
ty penq!
it jumped out at me as soon as I asked... after looking for that last T forever
It goes even deeper than that, unfortunately, crossy. My children have completely shattered my heart. So I find other people to "adopt" who appreciate me and fill me with love and respect. I am fortunate to have many good friends.
then, you have done your duty.they are adults.live for yourself a bit now
you come for a visit next summer or early fall and i promise you a prime rib dinner on the segwun on crossy!
That's the way I feel, crossy. I was a very good mother. When I went back into singing classic rock music in my 50s, my kids were like "Mom!" But I told them I did my job and stayed married to their father WAY too long so either get on the train with me or I'm leaving you at the station but I'm moving on as it is now MY turn!
it is your turn!
I'm absolutely planning a trip to see you and your lovely wife, crossy. Don't know exactly when yet, but it's a definite plan!
grab yerself a boy toy and common up some weekend next summer
lol
Nah...did the boy toy thing to death after my divorce....hey, I already raised my kids. Just had nothing in common. Prefer spending the time with my cats.....sad, but true.
I've had so many wonderful men in my life...none of the youngsters fit in that category, however. Interested more now in intellectual and spiritual pursuits.
nothing wrong with doing yer own thing either
u
Now THERE's a double entendre!
after my granda passed in the 70,s my grammy took up sailing till into her early 80,s when she slipped on deck and broker her arm while setting a seet:)
sheet
she went deaf in her early 90,s and that slowed her down a tad
Now that's my kind of woman, crossy! I still plan to get back up on stage and rock out. Hey, Tina Turner is 10 years older than me and still rocks the house!
she rocks the house indeed!
I'm actually classically trained in voice and I still keep up with my vocal exercises and "rehearse" often. I simply enjoy singing in and of itself, even if there isn't an audience.
I'll sing you an a capella number when I visit, crossy!
i look forward to it.brb.store run
I'm gone for now...need to get some things done. Bye and hugs all around.
hi all!
Hello Sue. 😊
hi soodle! How are you?
Lol. Sue. Don't ask. Do not unleash the torrent!!! Suffice to say, I'm still here. 😄 And you & Frank? All well?
We are good, soodle. Sorry to hear you are having a hard time.
I have taken on a freelance assignment that I had some doubts about - too much work and too little money - and I was right. On the other hand, it is money, and I'm not doing all that much else, so I guess it is ok.
Meh! This too will pass. I'm just at a bit of a low ebb right now. Tomorrow, I'll be grand.
Yay forincome!
ah well, there's the ticket! Good attitude. Have a drink :-)
Lol! If I started drinking, theres a good chance I may not stop!!!! Lol.
So, whats the assignment, Sue?
I know what you mean! There were a few times over the past year when I decided that we needed a drop, though. Indeed, when we found out Frank had cancer, I called our minister, and she showed up with booze. I decided I am going to the right church :-)
hello peeps
The assignment is writing online homework problems for a physics text - three chapters worth, and 400 problems per chapter. I just finished writing 400 problems about fluids.
hi, TO!
Could I get a clue fro ma7, please?
a very large dog, marc
Rofl! I would be tempted to drown my sorrows, but I fear I may have to drive into the hospital at short notice. So, its tea. Hiya TO 😄
*looks for dogs in the grid*
or a catholic service + a small word of choice
(it's not the dog, just sounds like it)
I think the dog has a t
ah, got it, I think it's got to do with mountains
so now I have nbs but still two blank tiles, although I am more than half way
Lovely clue, Kje. Thanks.
kje, don't know that dog
it's a very large dog, marc, spelled differently (with a t and a double final consonant)
Could I please have a clue for the e in the second row?
ed5/22, tabby, to instruct or inform
catholic service + a small word used to imply imagining
Marc, a catholic religeous ceremony + no **s buts or maybes
off to the store... may or may not get back tonight to finish. happy babbling!
bye, kje!
bye Kje. And thank you.
Thanks ussue...that gives me nbt at last
bye kje
soodle you were in the grid the other day
ok, thanks to all of you and lickety, I have nbs and nbt, going to go do some other things for a while. bbl! Good to see you all!
Oh, really TO? Dang!!!! I'm annoyed I missed my moment of glory!
:D
bye sue.
LOVE your icon, soods.
Bye Sue. ((())). Love to you & Frank.
Lol TO! I gotta do my bit!!!
whatever is gong on, i hope it resolves soon.
must go peel potatoes for pot roast, bbs
Aw. Thank you.
i don't know what the problem is with y icon. it looks blak but it's black print on a white background.
And now I'm heading for bed. To sleep. Perchance to dream. I'm wrecked. Goodnight everybody.
night, soodle. sleep tight. don't le tthe bedbugs bite.
crossy is back:)) had to get some beverages of an adult nature;)
I made a pot of Irish afternoon tea from Murchies and enjoyed two cups. Oh, I do know how to live.
the small pleasures are often the best
It has been a busy day for me with lots of paperwork (something I don't do very often any more.) Glad to sit down and visit whilst gridding.
crossy tidbit for theose who just shelled out 800 dollars for the new i-phone 5.guess what? yup!! save yer pennies for the new upcoming i-phone 6 with edge to edge display!!! should not be any more than a thousand dollars! lol! http://tinyurl.com/kjsh9vs
Hi all!
more and more it is nothing dramatic that please me; a nice walk in the wood,a good book, some good music, getting out on the wter like we did last week. All good stuff
howdy, magazinemom
hey crossy
cross, some one just sent me a file w .pub. i cannot find anything with which to open it
epub?
calibre has a good built in reader for that
Microsoft Publisher file
that works as well
i don't have that
i cannot buy something to read this
i like caliber because it handles many files and i also use it to change formats on my books for different e readers
calibre is free you do not buy it
is it free?
it is
http://www.zamzar.com/convert/pub-to-p\ndf/ This says it will convert it to a pdf. Free
trust crossy .been using calibre to convert files for people for years
but magmoms info works as well
I trust crossy more than me. LOL
caliber is an ebooks software?
brb
it is,but converst .lit, pdf, mobi as well as epub
brb
mm have you used this software? calibre not working for me
No. Let me look on CNET for something. I trust their software.
like i said not only have i used it,i still do
There is no free reader for Microsoft Publisher which is the problem.
*sigh* i need to prood read a flyer
you have to import the file you wish to convert or read, slelect the format you wish to use then convert or read individually
easy,peasy
once you imprt your duccument into calibre the reast is easy
import
if only typing were that easy lol
here it is.totally free. http://calibre-ebook.com/
TO- I have publisher. If you want to email it to me I think I can save it as a pdf for you.
anyways.on you go
:)
talking to oneself is a nasty habit :)
lost in the grid for a few
she vanished on me TO did. i can turn it into plain text, pdf, mobi , lit or whatever
no i was booted
oh heck, oven is calling, dinner is nearly ready
send it to magmom or myself and we can convert it for you
do i run it or save it
run it
If you need to email me, becparks at sbcglobal dot net
ty oven is getting louder must run
but it is a good program to have and become familliar with
I've got to run feed the heathens.
once you have imported the epub, highlight it on the list and select view
there are dedicated e-pub viewers and that is all they do but a good software program like calibre should be shared
it won't run
sec then i will just get you link for basic e pub reader
i will email the person and tell her i just cannot do it, unless i try it at the library tomorrow
trying the alternate download site now.
and dinner is not looking good, either. :(
http://epub-reader-for-windows.en.soft\nonic.com/
there ya go.basic reader
the alternate download site appears to be working. what do i convert it to?
do not convert it.you just want to read it correct? so upload it to calibre and once it is on the list, just highlight it and select view button
i am trying to make this easy for you:)
ms security does not like this site
but the download appears to be working since i overrode it
then use the dedicated reader i posted instead
i will try calibre. btw my travel companion turned out to be an it consultant. he told me my pc is not worth trying to fix and i need to buy a new one.
do not worry about ms security.i never post anything for babblers unless i personally have used it first and know it is safe
computers age fast
my p ot roast is tough. it has been cooking two hours. :(
it is inedible at this point.
i think i need to go to bed and try again tomorrow.
2 hours??? how much does it weigh?
put tough roast in pieces in a marinade in the fridge overnight.you can resuce it
1/3 cup honey,1/3 cup mustard pinch of chilli powder and something with hickory or maple, salt pepper, dash of galic
you can then toss the entire thing in slow cooker tomorrow and add veggies and baby taters
I cook my pot roast for 6-8 hours TO
and usually over 2 days
wow
petrified pot roast
this one should go about 21/2, it is only two lbs
Try refrigerating it tonight, and cooking it for 4 more hours tomorrow
low and slow, crossy
i like my roast just to the point where it stops mooing
I still cook and cook and cook. The meat falls apart when I'm done, which is how I like pot roast.
but i am starving! *pouts* you did not hear about my trip with the epiphytes last weekend.
My recipe is on my FB page
i cook my 3-5 pound roasts at 325 for 45 min a side in 2 inches of water covered
this is pot roast.
crossy, sounds more like roast beef than pot roast
my recipe is on the can of campbell's golden mushroom soup
then i slow cook the hell out of it in my cooker
sorry, tis odd day for crossy.yes pot roasts in slow cooker
ohhhh, now THAT sounds like pot roast :)
yeah, TO, crossy and I both think you just need another 4-6 hours cooking in slow cooker
i need 29 more and i think i will need a list
and it will be perfect
crossy loves his slow cooker. i meake a deadly jamacian pulled pork in them
no, it's tonight's dinner. more soup and try it again tomorrow if it does not come around. may just be a bad roast.
you do get them, they cobble together bunches of gristle with strings of meat, coat it all in enzymes, tie it all together with string and pass it off as food
%$ meat on sale and $2 worth of soup. i love the mc comak;s roast in the bag, but this one makes great gracy. this from a confirmed gracy hater.
not pieced and tied. bottom round.
i can make a gravy, to,would bring a tear to yer eye
i hate gravy. truly hate it.
:(((
of all kinds.
how about an au jus sauce?
so yes, it WOULD bring at least a tear to my eye lol
au jus if the only way to go.
only for reheats
see/ knew we would find something
i hate ravy and i figurethat takes sveral hundred calories off every roasted meat
so it's all good.
if you are eating roast beef with mashed and roasted carrots with all the trimming, you should not care a whit about calories
nrk, have you seen or thought about seeing the musical "one"?
do not forget yorkie puds
well, i am not. and if i were, it would be eye round not prime rib. leanest beef around
i hate fat in all forms. the taste gags me.
we have a black angus heard here that offers itself up every once in a while and the meat is so beautiful,so tender..sigh...it needs nothing else
herd
oh ood lord i was just called by someone who wanted to check my system and wanted to check ammy.com this after my soft ware download. :(
i have no idea wgat that all means but i would be cautious
Going to start dinner. Nothing fancy tonight but grateful for good fortune. Be wary TO of phone calls from people who have no business asking you questions. I am thinking I should take the first flight down to stand guard.
ok, overn is calling again. nan i do not understand.
I really want to go see "one" TO.
Okay, 11 left, and I'm not seeing anything, so I'm done. Have a great night all!
i wish i could be there for all of you when the phishing scams start

Goodbye Lizlin! I will see you later in the chat log maybe.
I can't remember if I asked for prayers and energy to be sent to my niece in Corpus Christi, TX. She is back on Cbemo has had three other bouts and had gotten a clean scan.....then a couple of weeks ago they found 4 spots and she and her husband (he's not taking it well at all, undserstandably). Her name is Susie, so if you all will do what you can to help her, all of her family and she will be forever grateful. Thanks
Will be praying for Susie peach!

Hello wvteach! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.
In return if I could ask you all to pray for Maddy, an 8- year- old girl who is kicking leukemia's booty for a second time. She is such a brave girl and a fighter.
Of course, we will, magazinemom/
Thanks.

The ku5/20 rhymes with actress Renee R**** Marc Freeman

it is not a real word Marc. I just tried to find what it means ....
Thanks got it
Ah 4/6! Listen up! After putting my no 4/4 to the grid it took me eo4/4 to finish this te 7/36 grid. It se 4/5s like a story isn't needed, but I am going to write a story with so 4/5 clues anyway. If a somebody as 4/8 for a clue, it helps me out. As5/12 from clues, I also use Lickety's list to help me. I often de 4/6 it necessary to use the list. It is an as 5/10 for me, especially for the ma 4/5ive grids. So 4/5 may di 4/5 me for using a list and think I am a si 5/14 for using list, but I do not care. I will never di6/24 the list. I refu 4/8 to give up that list. Sufi 4/8 it to say, I'd never finish grids sa 4/4 a list. It me 5/12 so much to me that Lickety takes the time to provide us with a list. I wish that I could me 4/5 Lickety one day to thank him in person.Hubby, whose na4/5 is Mike, gets very fu5/22 if I babble too long.I'm going to stop before he makes a fu 4/8 and starts to mo4/5 & groan & say me4/5 things about Babble. He mo5/12 & groans every time I babble. I hope you have us 4/6 this story to help you babble. I'm going to go mo 4/8 on out of here and watch a Tom Ha 5/20 movie insi 4/5 the bedroom. I will be back here at the sa4/5 time tomorrow evening. I am well Min. How's youse?
I am well torgone, but disappointed that I have no time for Babble during the week. I am very busy with work all week
Yeah .. That kind of stinks ..
Work keeps demanding more and more, and gives us less recharge time ..
Okay, well that topic didn't generate much interest. Let's try this: SPAM - Animal, Mineral, or Vegetable?
Canada - America's Hat .. Miss North Carolina, your thoughts ...
