hi all
Hi Joso
hi pug, missed you last night, all is ok with you?
all is fine with me---and you?
yes, but getting busy with the move, I will unable to stay up late as often, If I am a no show please don't worry.
Okay, good luck on the move! Hope it goes smoothly for you
has to be better than the last one, a real horror story that one was.
I was on last night but not for long due to internet problems
ah, well I guess i missed your small window of opportunity, briefly touched base with rose, also missed sprite.
I missed everyone too---the wind was so bad that it played a number on my connection
the perils of country life
I guess so :)
I need to go early tonight, so will likely miss sprite and rose tonight.
Rose has been in and out, I think shes working on this grid
and I think Sprite has her group thing this morning
good, maybe I'll catch her before I have to go.
so I take it you have found a new place then
not yet
plan to move end of next month, but have lots to do before then
its too bad you dont have any help
did you get your car fixed
yes, got that done friday, which allows me to do some of the stuff that has been hanging fire.
cooee from me
thats a big plus
howdy Rose
hey rose
Hi all :)
how are my babbling friends today/tonight?
Hi Liz
hey ya liz
fine and dandy here
hi liz, how is down under land, still ablaze
how are you and Liz
All's good here. And how're things in Melbourne, the U S of A and Canada?
Sanes
Duh!
knee gave me gyp today....didn't really do a lot...but apparently a touch too much...*sigh*
Need to concentrate!
ahh poor Rose, hugs
Sorry to hear that Rose :(
for the last time, CUT OUT THE DAMN CARTWHEELS, putz
lolol...having just watched grumpy old men...my response is....moron...
we are suppose to have a warmish day if they dont lie.
hehehehehe
I like that movie and the part 2 too
chilly here, turned on the heat. I feel I should not wake up with cold toes.
Iam watching a tv program about unique eats and they are showing these sinful cupcakes thats making me hungry
so agree, joso...even if the rest of me burns, toes should not be cold...with the synovitis my knee burns, as does the rest of me, overnight.
don't let your sister watch, it's not nice to tease the diabetics, lol
shes still in bed, plus she has her own tv
AND IT'S NOT DH!!!
Is your knee swollen Rose
dh does not make you burn, gottch
that sounds like a white lie to me :)
does seem counter to previous reports
pugs, am wearing a compression bandage, so swelling is going down.
DH does not make me burn in the knee...for which he is truly grateful..
rug burns then? lol
roflol...pugs
oops sorry just had to say that
I think some of my bad habits are rubbing off on pug
you really think so
*giggle* so you and pugs are rubbing along??

the chicken cost me heaps...it has already been frozen, so cannot re-freeze it.
Ru did you get to catch the redskin and bronco's game
you can cook it and then refreeze it Rose
i like to buy foods which will tempt the mother's appetite. why, oh, why, does SIL do this?
I've got to go, enjoy babble folks.

Hi ro
Did you ever discover what you reacted to?
oh hi liz...didn't see you there... nope.. I have a dr's apt tomorrow where I will have to be referred for an allergy testing regime..*sigh*
Let us know how it turns out, please.
sure..*s*... what I hate is the randomness of it... 3 times in 3 years... whats that about??..
sure..*s*... what I hate is the randomness of it... 3 times in 3 years... whats that about??..
Push hard for an answer tho I'm sure you will.
ooookay... so one of my fav programs is in the grid... but didn't think it was a real word..
how many words today?
313 ou
313 words
thanks
aww rolin, been there, done that, got the t-shirt...ain't going back.
and, i now have an epipen. as the allergist said...go...and enjoy life.
yeah... well I wouldn't mind one way or the other rose... cos waking up at 1.30am with a tongue twice the size it should be is pretty scary
right with you hun...narrowly missed an intensive care admission the la4 time. i was so close to being intubated and put on a ventilator...
*shudder*.... pass
they threw the whole box and dice at me, on that admission...
was on oxygen for 3 days....now?? with the epipen within reach....all is good.
and what did they track it to?
so many triggers , or so i thought....but my reactions were due to stress, we think. it seemed like so many foods tipped me over the edge. the foods were the trigger, but the stress tipped the balance.
the food/medicines sensitised me, then the stress kicked in...
oh great...stress... I wonder if allergy to stress could get me onto workers comp..??..lol
chicken made me sleepy, apples made me angry. strawberries sent me into anaphylaxis..as did most medications. i had giant urticaria, which progressed from the skin, to inside my mouth, eyes, nose...then my throat...at that point i would ring for an ambulance.
Omg, Rose. Life's never boring with you!
omg...that's incredible.. lol.....
sooo, rolin...i am so hoping you can find an exact cause...
Me too!
the tests are more refined nowadays, rolin.
yup... me too... I was allergic to a sugar binge when I was a kid and young adult..and to a certain preservative in orange juice back then... but I thought id grown out of all that.. the triage nurse said some people grow into allergies...*rolling eyes*
but...rolin...if it is a more allusive result..i.e. stress, well, just relax. the epipen gives you so much more confidence...just knowing it is within reach.
and it would be appropriate after all the yearly training I have had on how to use an epipen ..I might have a real reason to have learned it..
oh, yeah, forgot sugar...it sent me to sleep as well. hence my extensive use of artificial sweeteners.
i also carry a small plastic bottle which contains prednisolone and an anti-histamine.epipen first, then the tabs, then the ambulance. everyone who is in contact with me, knows the drill.
ahh my friend prednisolone... it has figured for a long time in my life... if not for allergies then for pain relief...
morning all, fireflies for me
yup, rolin....good that you can take it, as can i...DH has it and goes berserk. he cannot remember what happens, but witnesses tell of him throwing furniture etc around and using the most foul language.
WTG ANITA!!!....and cooee to you
storms kept me up[ so i had an early start 2day
well 'all' it does is make me very skittish....and jumpy... but its worth it for the releif
know what you mean, rolin. ditto here
breakfast for me, catch u later. poof im gone
*poof* to you too...have a good one anita, hun
Rose, have you finished yet?

Oh dear, Crossy, hope nothing too serious.
agonizing, searing ,throbbing pain from the depths of hell had a way of changing my point of view in a hurry
i see a long future of expensive dental work in my future
feel like ripping them all out and putting a set of falsies in there and being doe with it
done
I think seeing the dentists in the USA & Canada se4 to be very exspensive..I heard a couple of lady babblers chatting the other day about tooth work costing about $7000-$10000 per tooth Yikes!
just hang onto the bottom ones Cross
Good evening all
howdy, lynxx
Hello, Lynxxx :-)
well, that sounds like specialty work at those prices, zooz
but i easily see 3000 dollars going down the toilet before i am done with this
they had both gotten implants
For a crown here costs about €800-€1000 here.

br
brb
So right now I am going through trying to get one word per tile
getting at least nbt in this grid is good:)
with some help i have nbt and nbs
Getting close. I'm on my tablet so typing is a bit slow
what kind of tablet is it?
Samsung android
do you need a wifi connection for it?
No, it will use the cellphone signal too
oh thats right it is a phone too:)
So it's on my data plan with the phones
cool
We got new phones a few months ago, and they offered me the tablet for $200, so I got it
That is so awesome
i am using the old thing called a computer/desktop computer
Anyway, nbt. Now to go through the tiles again and find half the words on each
i have 15 of the 22 p's
Ah yes, I also have a desktop, but the tablet is nice when we are out
much easier to use too:)
Indeed.
hello. 192 words and nbt and nbs but no hope of finishing.
At least large grids are fun to play with
Hi ruby! I seldom finish the big grids.
this grid for me started out fun now a bit harder
i have 157 left
I seldom finish any grids, but t least this one is crunchy
Hahaha I have 275 left :-)

Hi, Jilly! I am enjoying my job so far. Orientation has been good. Lot's of good experiences.
mmm - not really for a Spring day- its been back to winter clothes for the last week or so down here (whilst NSW has had LOTS of bush fires)
So glad to hear it. I had a good day too! Welcome to nursing BTW, if I haven't said it before...
sorry. We had a lovely fall day here. Got up to 60 F. But it is getting quite nippy at night.
Yes, we saw that Lickety has been busy fighting fires.
Thanks, Jilly. Glad you had a good day.
It is blastedly COLD here. 34 degrees F and winds gusting...brrrr
Oh I didn't see that about Lickety, not surprised he would volunteer
you can keep that, Jilly.

thnx for the as clues jilly & luv. I was on the phone
Sometimes life sure knocks you for a loop. Had a friend pass out Sunday, they diagnosed pancreatitis, but in the course of that, they found a large tumor on his kidney..most likely cancer.
yw pida and hello again
how sad.
He's in his very early 40's. The pancreatitis was a blessing as lord knows how long before they would have found the tumor otherwise.
So far they feel there is no spread of cancer.
brb....
yes, it is interesting how something goes wrong that is minor that allows something else to be discovered.

They deserve to win
I am Annie, who are you rooting for?
i am not even watching. just checking the score.
However, I am a Yankee fan, wht, but I might be lenient and lean toward the Sox.
I don't know if it is a question of desrving. Both teams are good and pretty evenly matched. I think it will be decided by who makes the fewest mistakes.
HERESY! NEVER!
eg 5/14?
spit out
eg + birds live in a n***
TO, the soon-to-be- EX DIL wants "pale" diet; so I made home grown acorn squash, fancy baked potatoes (which I cut in half, scored, crisp-browned the tops and used some special olive oil on); and chicken breast fillets with herbs. Son and grandson wouldn't eat the squash (even though grandson and I planted it and grew it!) Son said I'd under-cooked the chicken so he cooked it some more (and burnt the pan), DIL ate small serving, got up and left. I'd worked hard on that meal too.
Whole family sox fans, I root for Padres...but now will be the Sox..
do you mean Paleao?
sounds so good nef, wish you were here
aw, s orry, nef. you deserve better.
got a loaded weapon, nef?!
(((hugs))) nef...
yes, Jilly, that's what I meant and thought I'd typed
Nef, lots of pepper next time, if there is a next time
Hi Une
When I lived in Pittsburgh in 1975 I was rooting for the Red Sox in World Series and they lost game three that year because of an interference ruling as well.
hey annie :-)
Neff, I see why she is ex-DIL material.
LOL, Une and Annie. I've just decided I'm not cooking again til DIL moves out this Friday.
good plan.
My son's bad first marriage is biting him again. State of Washington is going after him for child support for the daughter she gave birth to a year after she left him in Virginia and moved to Washington. *sigh*
okay, gang, Im off to watch the game. Have a good good night.
bye annie!
Good night Annie.
well i am not good in math but i cannot figure that one.
And the divorce in WA clearly states NO DEPENDANT children
niters, Annie. Enjoy the game!
niters annie dear!
I'll be so glad when she is gone for good. She's ---- well; I'll shut up (I was taught that if I had nothing good to say about a person I shouldn't say anything).
eg 5?
Jilly, if the divorce in WA says No dependent children, how did she have a kid a year after she left him? (Seems to me the math is wrong there
clued at 6:43, phand
sorry, I forgot I had asked...
eg5, eg + short for a rough approximation
That's what we wonder. But they still were married when she gave birth. just hope this doesn't turn into a big hassle-like having to fly to WA. Crap, he does not need this now, he is weeks away from graduation...
they were married when she gave birth? Maybe he could ask for a paternity test?
paternity te4 needed
otherwise, children born during a marriage are deemed to be the scion of the husband. that is the law
Dang. PB here I come (and I hope there's cholits there now)
That's what may be be needed, but why did they grant divorce with "no dependant children"?
she hadn't given birth yet?
ge 7/36?
She left him in September and gave birth the following September. They were divorced in December.

i have three sa words to find....*sigh*
Two men contracted to paint a small community church. Being very frugal (cheap), they pinched and scraped to spend the absolute minimum on materials. Then, when they were only partway through the job, they determined that they did not, after all, have enough paint to complete the job. Not wishing to spend any more money if they didn't absolutely have to, they decided they would just dilute the water-based paint they were using so that it would last longer. They did this a couple more times before they finished, which caused striping on the church as the paint got lighter each time it was thinned. The painters had just about gotten to the top of the steeple, when, all of a sudden, the sky darkened, and the rain started to pour down. As the paint streamed down the sides of the church, a voice boomed from the heavens: "Repaint, you thinners! Repaint, and thin no more!"
GROAN o-o

OK, Jilly...done and sent.
You know, crossy, you don't even have to be a dental professional to know that when someone is in that much pain for that long something MUST be WRONG!! They're not all good, you know. After all, you know what they call the guy who finished last in medical school...DOCTOR.
i am done!!

Hey there, Nef.
