Just likes studying and has always enjoyed and been good at maths - which is probably where he's headed job wise

there have been quite a few through history. i am so in awe of him...his maths skills and his memory. he actually reads a physics te4book like i read an agatha christie novel...lol

He's not sure. I imagine he'll do postgraduate study somewhere but needs to alk to somebody about what to do with a pure maths degree. He's less interested in the more applied stuff like statistical modelling which would more easily result in a job

jack, to be an academic, he will have to relate to people with a lot less brain skills than he has. i think of him as an einstein or similar. who knows where he will finish up? his father despairs of him ever having a job which earns an income.

jack, not too bad. with the fibromyalgia, i have spasms. i start hydrotherapy(hopefully) tomorrow. i know that once i have built up the tolerance to standing and movement, i willo be able to return to work.
Good you are making progress, I hope the hydrotherapy is enjoyable and helps. Sorry to hear about the fibromyalgia, I gather that can be really unpleasant.
lol, jack. i was told 11 years ago that it is not a disability. one day i am going to show that doctor what it is like without treatment. silly man!! it is now recognised as a disbility which qualifies for a pension....and i am supposed to be able to return to my usual work. yeah, right!!
BUT.... to fulfil workcover requirements, i will continue to attempt to return to work. hopefully, get back to my work hours and duties. THEN i will retire. that is the ace up my sleeve. i will soon have enough monies to retire on.

Not good, Rose, The first wash i did with the machine yesterday was a bloody two & half hour cycle..and i could not find a way to stop it..did not want to turn the power off just incase i broke it..i am not domesticated as you can tell..lol

I have two bikes, Pugs, both need new chains and sprockets but no shops in this area do cycle repairs..there are a few more things that need doing to the bikes which i can not do..so need a shop to do them.

Yes i agree, Pugs, might just do that...as these two bikes i have are top of the range bikes..so cost a lot of money for parts..i was really into cycling in a big way back then.

Here i know you have to pay into the sysytem for about thirty years for you to be able to get a state pension..do not know anything about any superannuation thingy.
I did have a private pension running for about 18 years..but that fell to the waste side when i stopped it and i never re-started it..so it must be worth nothing now.
So i will have to rely on the state pension...thats if it is still going by the time i retire..lol

ok, i just vacuumed the living room and dinning room. understand neither is more then 14 X 15. I have laminate flooring through out and a rug in the living room in the center with lots of floor around it. With my Kirby i had to use both the head for the carpet and the hose for the floors. This thing did as good as the Kirby in half the time and effort. WOW, i thought if i let go of it on the carpet, it would run down it and out the window. I will let you all know how it washes the floors.

What I am saying is that if someone's upset by small stuff..that is really their choice. This chat is often a lot of small stuff and apparently people read into comments here and misunderstand the meaning of what is being said all the time.
one tends to project on internet cohorts, as one knows so very little about them. there are people here that i see as bullies, or worse, but that is simply my idiosyncratic point of view (although i bet i'm right).
I think a lot of tone and inference gets lost in translation having to read comments rather than hear them as well
additionally, i think it is difficult to present one's true self in a chat log such as this. not enough space or time.

About the same. Twisted head, wobbly. I have her in a small box so she can lean against the walls. She can sit up and clean her face. She is eating on her own. But I feed her a watery mix of a product called Critical Care (made for ill herbivores), and give her meds.

Head tilt is thought to be either a bacterial inner ear infection or a protozoan brain infection--much debate. So she is on 2 meds. I had a rabbit wth this 14 yrs ago and nursed him back to good health after 5 wks. He had a residual head tilt but was happy.

Crossy, I lost my son to cannabis psychosis when he committed suicide by standing in front of an express train. After over 15 years of mental problems due to cannabis, he took the omly way out that he could see. I know cannabis helps with pain but, beware, the d*** stuff is insidious. Gives with one hand and takes with the other.

it was awful at the time but it was 8 years ago and things have eased. Christmas will never be the same again for us. Of 6 young men who suffered from psychosis and who were in the local mental health unit with Tim only one is still alive and he is disabled. the rest committed suicide.
every medicine, natural and pharmaceutical has its dangers. I thank you for sharing this with me , jaxx. things must def be considered carefully

There's a Brian Boru Harp festival in Limerick and/or a bicycle ride at Giant's Causeway. We're trying to decide which we want to do.
