Flosey, I take all weather reports seriouusly so I didn't suffer a bit! Yesterday was my birthday and some friends came by and sprinkled me with rose petals in the falling snow…it was a magical moment. They also brought truffles!

power failures off and on all day here - woke to find a willow tree with 8 - 10" wide trunk crashed across our bridge, no damage to driveway but railings were broken

Putting a clove in the mouth on the tooth i think will only succeed in making your side of the mouth numb and taste nasty as it is very strong..will not stop tooth pain..in my opinion.

Raffie has become an elegant and wel-behaved lady-dog now. She looks like a short, fat woman in a fluffy fur coat and walks in a straight line.

My Dad went into a Nursing Home yesterday. It was totally inevitable, absolutely essential, but none of that is stopping me feeling like I let him down. I think it was Haz said 'Growing old is not for the timid'. Meh

well, I tried to suggest to my dad that he move closer to us, but he's not moving anywhere. And I can't move closer to him either. So we email and phone, and I visit occasionally.
I was caregiver to both of my parents before they passed. I don't expect my daughter to have to take care of me because I'm already on 'borrowed time' -- that is, my parents, my siblings, and all grandparents died at average age of 57. I'm past that.

Harp fell and hurt herslef--she saved her hands--reminds me of the vilinist I know--sorta famous I foraget her name--who was trapped in an el and had to dhoose between her leg and her violin--she said it wasn't a choice she just hung onto her violin (saved a strad--and she's a concert violinist now)

I was at a house Friday where the big cat likes hair and settles himself on guest's heads. It was sorta nice.

I met and admird her and went to her doncerts--knew friends of friends--and here is harpjane falling on shoulder and where else but not her hands--she plays with her hands. I can understand.

Nef- Mrs Pine had an accident where she was pinned under a train after being dragged because her violin case got stuck on a train that didn't have proper safety sensors on their doors. She couldn't remove the violin or herself. It is a Strad

thank you for all those details. The remarkable thing is, she's playing, and playing well, and saved her fiddle--andher arms and shoulders.
Seeing the snow that hit harps community, I can understand how she'd fall.

She and JillyJill live within 50 miles of Missoula, Montana, where most of my family is. I don't think I've ever seen the valley have that much snow there; and it's all from this last storm
