How was the physio today and what did s/he say about your ankle?
forgot to tell her...i was so tired....had been awake since 4am. *sigh* but i was able to work with the floatie around my right ankle. it's amazing how something so small makes you work that much harder.

i don't understand it. in the pool, stepping off a step, leading with the other foot, is so easy. try doing it on land, and i just cannot get a smooth flowing action happening.

no, it happened last time too. i just can't walk down stairs one foot after another. well i do it, but it takes forever. just before i fell, i was doing it okay again. it seems to take quite some time to happen after the surgery.
So I guess it's a matter of patience and perseverance - :(

The ski resort 30 min south stays open into April, if possible. It is a much larger resort, with 50+ runs.

1 year I bought live lobsters and fixed a very nice dinner here; but my son felt sorry for the lobsters because they were in a big paper grocery bag and he put them in tap water in the laundry tub!

Jilly, I went to the upscale grocers and got them on ice that time. We usually don't get lobsters at all
when we had our hobby farm, we made it a habit to name all the animals after cuts of meat, so as to make the transition at butchering time a bit easier. for example we had a pair of hogs and their names were pork chop and back bacon.
When we first were married, we had a friend who had a little Italian restaurant who fixed us lobster for our 1st anniversary--- for lunch. I had to work that night. :-/
But our friend made it into a very nice lunch meal!
Oh nef, so remember the days I worked nights and hubby swings. We passed in the hallway. Seems like forever ago now.

I worked over 35 years of evenings or nights. I never was a morning person. Now that I'm retired, I find I get up at 7 AM though!
we just made it up, nef. seemed to help.. well except for in one case. we had horse we were boarding for someone else. They were to train it, feed it and exercise it, we just boarded it. Problem was that this particular horse, for whatever reason, liked to try and bite people.

Oh my. I just got word that an uncle of mine died. Get this. My Dad was the eldest of 15. He is now 86. His youngest brother, 24 years his junior was killed in a car accident 2 years ago. Another brother of his just died today. Natural causes, but shocking nonetheless.

my M.I.L lost her entire wedding set that she wore when she was married in 1955. She claimed it on her insurance and it was replaced with modern day copies. Sadly the originals added up to almost 10K of diamonds on the market today and she did not get that much... then one day 5 years later, her floor drain in her laundry area backed up. they pulled off the cover plate, and sent in a plumbers snake to break the clog and the plumber pulled out a massive pet/ human hair ball on the end of his plumbers snake and found the entire wedding set in it.

Jes, i'm glad you'r here as i'm looking for a cat from a shelter but i already have a cat and i thought she wouldn't like another cat but next door adopted a kitten and we had her for half an hour and she loved her and since then my cat seems to be miserable

most rescues will let you try a new animal for a week or so, to see if they work out okay.
My cat is from a shelter and had kittens before that and we had a male cat when we got her and she came and had a go at him and he was so soft hearted that he backed down but she is the same and i think she did it so he wouldn't start on her(even though he wouldn't0 and after that my male cat would take a long walk around her and she wanted his attention
Here, they come and check out your house and cat if you already have one and see if they are healthy

we have a new kitty
3 cats and 1 dog now
he appeared on our deck last week and kept coming back. so we let him inside and he bonded with our cats and dog immediately and wont leave. so we kept him. vet trip tomorrow

Yay for you Cos..that was like the kitty next door.it kept turning up outside their door and i fed it and it met my cat and then they took it it and they tried to find out where it came from and they phoned up the nearest shelter to take it and they were full
meanwhile, the bairn and i were trying to talk my husband around, so we could have it, but my next door neighbours found out that the people who had her before had a baby who was allergic to the fur so they kept her outside all the time, and she wasn't neutured and only 4 months old.
