yaaaa! the birds are back!!. So nice to hear birds once again:)
hi crossy and everyone.. the red-winged blackbird is the early spring bird in NE Ohio.. what is yours?
we get chikadees and robins and blue jays back first
though jays do not have a pretty sound.. they sound more like a angry housewife;)
they don't leave NE Ohio in the winter.. well, some of the robins leave but some are year round residents
our crows and black birds seem to stay all year, but in winter you seem to not hear much noise from them
it is the pretty morning song birds that are missed
as well as the loons on the bay
I do hope our piping plovers come back this year. All the bird people kill themselves to get here to take a picture of them because, as I understand, they are still quite rare

closed and entire section of the beach so they can have it all to themselves

well, I would say the class is 2/3 18-25 year olds, and 1/3 mature students of 25+ and for the most part they tend to segregate into their own age bracket unless they are stuck with something, then they seek us out. Stiddy, my mom would tell you (she had 40+ years), that every year is a new adventure, all with ups and downs.
I know, but you should have seen the kids. and you should have tried to hear them. they were so engaged they were ALL silent!!! *the heavens open up and the sound of angelic singing floats down* They did great work, and will finish the project tomorrow and present their work to their peers. I am so excited that I planned a lesson that really seems to have engaged ALL of them.
not every lesson goes as planned but isn't it sweet when it does?
