the latest news .....the hospital is going to sue the builders for putting the plastic film on the carpet...

If you get a Kindle or a nook, online you can get an SD chip that when you put it in, it makes either of those an android tablet. That way you get the best of both worlds. Also, I bought a nook for my father because his hand are bad and he would drop it. The nook has a hole on the bottom you can put a strap though.

Ours have survived the battering from the wind and rain they got in february and March. We have planted miniature varieties like tete-a-tete because their stems are shorter and don't get damaged the same .

Aye, i definitely think it was worth the money and the bairn can use if for breakfast as she's not always hungry and i nag her to eat before school but she'll have a drink
You can slip a lot of vegetables in that breakfast drink and she will never know
She'll drink homemade juices with loads of veg, she just doesn't like to eat them on a plate very often, but atleast with the bullet she's getting everything not the juice so it will be filling and keep her going until her morning break when she will be hungary

I grow apples and blueberries in tubs and strawberries in hanging baskets and straberry pots.i do have raspberry,blackcurrant and redcurrant bushes but the birds normally get them as i can't get to them anymore sadly and the bairn is always to late to pick them.when the back garden finally gets down i will grow them in tubs too

I do understand with the pear grafts because then they come in at different times and it's a bit easier to keep up. We inevitably end up giving them away.

Yes Jacula. Since she came on just for a little bit and told us she was in hospital, I think she really does want comfort and to know she has friends. She is such a funny lady who is just having a hard time. Babble friends can be so supportive. I am glad you are all hearing the news with the intention with which I shared it.

I just sent mine. I've been there, believe me, and had to tell her it's worth the struggle and that she must not give up because we all love and need her.
I don't know what precipitated it Jac but she came on for a short while last night and said she was in hospital and that 2 priests had been to see her. When pressured by caring friends on live she told us what she was dealing with. When I said I had been there too and that it would pass, she told me she didn't want it to pass. She needs our help.
What is she in there for?
We do love and need her Mimi. So do her kids. Sometimes it is just hard to remember who loves you and how much.
Whoa, Bugs....that's a very dark place to be...I have been there too and nearly took my life. Life is so good here on the other side of that and I appreciate absolutely everything and everyone now.

Mimi - As you no doubt know, it's hard to see light let alone God or happiness or anything in the future when you're clawing your way up a deep, dark pit filled with slippery mud and every move you take seems to make you fall back further. In the end you feel like giving up. But... you must NOT give up. As you said, there is light at the top and life is so wonderful when you appreciate the small things and try not to get felled by the bigger things. Only someone who's been down there and climbed out knows that, and those of us who have must encourage Soodle with every ounce of our strength and persuasive powers so she, too, can emerge victorious.
I'll be sending positive and supportive thoughts to her tonight and tomorrow and if we all do that, I believe those "vibes" will reach her. Thought and feeling has life of its own and I know that firsthand.

I've so changed the way I deal with people and situations. I'm very nice but I refuse to let anyone take my peace away...it's mine and I've earned it.
Just basically ended a 44-yr. friendship that was stressing me out too much and the way I knew I should do so was the calm and peace I felt when I made the decision.
We may not be able to control the things that happen to us, but how we deal with them is in our control when we're in the right frame of mind and strong. When we're weakened, good friends make all the difference in helping us through it.
If I had the money right now, I'd be tempted to fly over to be there for her. Alas, that is not the case atm.

I've just scrolled back through 13th, 14th and 15th April and today's chog and can't find Soodle's entries. However, it is 3.53am he4 and I'm getting tired.
I think when someone gets far enough down to consider ending their life, they don't really want to die, just to stop the pain. That's where good friends are crucial...they were for me, at least.

This is a very special community of people and we are invested in each other to a degree.
That's what I do, ruru...still working on completing the Master's degree, but do paraprofessional counseling. It's very rewarding when I can help but very sad when I cannot...all one can do is try.
Professionals are (hopefully) trained to take someone apart and then put them back together again. It is all too easy to take someone apart, but not so easy to rebuild them, or rather to help them to rebuild.

ruru - trouble with not blowing up and going nuts is that the pressure does build up somewhere. Hopefully, the calming process won't lead to such a large explosion that the pieces left are so small, all can't be found for the glueing procedure. Then, the glue has to be a good one if the whole thing is to be stable.
