i am weeping here. the story of the para was on the news. to see him up and walking, and realising how life changing this procedure is for all those paralysed from the waist down. i have looked after so many young people who thought they would never walk again.
Really hope that this procedure suits many and becomes widely used. Would change and improve so many lives.
it not only means they can walk, but men will be able to father children, naturally, women will be able to carry a baby to term. the opportunities are limitless.

ruby, he was going to get my pain under control, and treat the damaged nerve in my knee...i will just have to find anothe chronic pain management doctor...preferably one who knows how to treat FM.
let's hope either his associates will carry on, or they are able to refer you to someone as good as your doctor was.
i know of one who is still practising, but he is very close to retirement. i need to find someone younger than i am, in order for that doc to be around until i don't need them again.

So, I drop the cat off at 8 this morning and they will call me when I can come pick him up.
an ultrasound shouldn't take too long. but i am guessing that they will knock the cat out to keep it still.
Since he reacted so well to getting the blood test they don't think they will have to sedate him. But, I'm assuming there may be other animals also getting ultrasounds, he only comes when they call him in.
He is pretty weak these days and can't put up a fight.

Gastrointestinal problems. And I definitely think it is, unless there is an underlying problem like a tumor. They think there is some internal bleeding that is very minor.
However, if it requires surgery I will not put him through it. He is over 16 and it would be unfair to him.

Depending on how old the computer is, I would recommend downloading a good virus protection program and a firewall. AVG is a good free virus protection download. You can get a firewall from Microsoft or any other reputable provider.

I plan to, hego. I still take the body sculpting class at the JCC (jewish community center) but I also joined the local Y and I go there on the other days and use the machines. The place is beautiful with state of the art equipment. I am focusing on cardio and legs for the first few weeks.
LOL....I truly love being nurse...but still see I am slower than the young 'uns. But still; experience has to count for something!

I came also from the era where surgical patients and medical patients were kept separated. There is value to that!

I have friends who are nurses on med/surg floors and I don't know how they do it
i used to work in a restaurant, and the 10 hour shift was deathly, and the worst i could do if i got tired was to kill a pizza

I worked briefly In retail a few years ago and 8 hours on my feet was more than enough.
so, why in the *&%$ they make doctors and nurses work long shifts, it's crazy, life and death going on
