Ankh - do you have tr7 - it is the frenchy plural of that
And the wine begins "Bord_ _ _ _ "
lol ankh
oh, I have that tr8 now too - forgot the pl (french)
I keep trying PM Pierre Tr* 's last name. I am not getting anywhere.

I'm fizzling out and have a full day and evening tomorrow so again won't finish. Now I have to do some dishes...
the matza balls are a love pat - very comforting. will do. 'nite.

"try" to think of anothe ending, taz...
think of words meaning long lasting, the quality of, although you would normally think of them spelt with en, not IN.

Oh no ... never mind. I am now giggling.
This looked like such a nice grid - but I am now stuck. Should I go to bed early ... or get the list?
there's a list? whats the point in that lol
me5/14 please
Not a list of full words Tricky ... just the first two letters and tile points - it saves total insanity
the list just gives the first two letters... the point is to save our sanity... :)
I would almost never finish without the list tricky
Sherb - you reading my mind?
it's the Babble effect, Ang... mind meld :)
ohhhh the lickety clues? yea ok i use 'em too hehe
and on that note, these su and si words are stumping me hehe
Ahh that was a little Tricky Ric
hehe
Andree me5/14 stuff you take when ill eye eye
thx frances
thx frances
You're very welcome
me6/27 please
me6/27 sing of me5/14...

Hi Haz

You're welcome Andree
Is the grid civilised?
not after clues yet, but am has anyone found all the si and su words?
Ish
first three quarters ok... I'm stuck on 44...
not an easy one haz
I'll settle for three quarters okay, and sure it keeps the brain cells working!
it'll ward off the te6...
Indeed!
ps7/40 1st one please
My eyes are fogging - time to say adieu ... Andree - past tense of 5/15
5/14 I meant
nite Ang :)
b
b
Bye Ang
Stuttering there Frances LOL
Yep!
My first reaction there was to say, there's more than one ps word, but then looked at the grid!
thx angb
I thought I was doing well to find one ps7... don't know what the other one is...
One is a stringed instrument, the other, a past tense verb.
oh i give up - any clues for su6,30 or si7,32 please?
ah, it was measly with a ps that I was missing... :)
su6/30 sounds like today... miscellaneous...
su6 - all and su**** (star + not wet)
su6/30 - a word for 'various', as in su6/30 items?
cheers i'll play with that
aha got it, ty
time to get some coffee... later all :)
bye
Time for me to go as wel - back later!

Happy Sunday!
Hi matty

Morning lyn
tu4,6 plez
hi lynxxx, hi matty
hello Andree
does anyone have clues for the two si 8's and the 2nd ps 7?
Does anyone have a clue for the tu 4,6 plez? It's my last word, I think.
Merk tu4/6 a piece of excrement!
Almost all of the ps have to do with the book of the old testament and forms of it.
Yuck! Thanks Frances
You're welcome.......I think!
si 8 when you intimate that something is true.
TY Merk for that clue on the ps's - and Frances (I think)
ps7 =sa5/14 anike
I mean +
Those si were past tense and plural of the si 7
i'm growing to hate this board
whats the si7? lol
they were god ones too - TY merk again
'good'
a clue please for de8/50?
Thanks for the si's Merk. I still can't get the last ps 7.
Flask de8/50 bebris

I thought I was finished, but when I typed the words in, it would not accept one of my du 4,6. Help plez
Got it, wrong corner. One is made going left, the other on the right.
anike, if you have sa5/14 just put infront of it
Merk, can u elaborate on Debris for me please?

I'm going back to bed. I'm in a hotel and the people in the room above made so much noise every fifteen minutes, I could not sleep. I finally phoned the front desk and now it's quiet. So goodnight, all.
Frances I was well aware of what debris is......however am sure I shan't be the only victim of that word!
Goodnight Merk. Sleep well

Can't stand it with Ric....too sweet and I'm sweet enough LOL
;-)
well you see....like Frances ..am sweet enough!!
most of these words i'm only getting through luck - i'm sure they don't really exist!
it would seem that anything is possible with enable!
hmm
surely ni5,14 must contain the x to add up?
i've tried every combination with no result
no wait my mistake
5,12 doesn't need it
Ric no it doesn't
Think of another way to spell does
ah got it
I think it quite a good grid in as much as there's not reams and reams of the same starter letters...i.e., 60 x ce...or 45 x du......its broken up better....anywone agree?
Totally Flask
i guess, but most of these words i've never heard of before

LOL Doug I've actually heard it
So what made it doubly hilarious was that after hearing that joke, and hearing that it was supposed to be so funny that it would cause people to die laughing, people would think "that joke isn't really that funny..." which is pretty funny...Got that?
There were people hoping that **** would become the other other white meat, but it didn't turn out that way...

The DE8/50 is a troll character in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series if that helps. He's a member of the city watch.
Good moring everybody.
tr7 - former Canadian Prime Minister - change the 4th letter
thank you flosey!
I may have a chance at the terry pratchett clue when my husband gets home, but I have no chance with canadian ex prime ministers...
ty matty, gotta love google
yw, and plural
I don't even know what the current one is called :s
Thanks flosey, there was no way I was going to get that word by myself...

Rubble, Charm!
ty flosey
first name, pierre
Okay, de8: the word is reminiscent of "debris," and it ends in the same letters as an infection in our tonsils or appendix
de + 3 + cross + you and me
thanks, matty
Hi, kthdsn, Unea

just starting carol. thanks for the offer, but I'm just trolling for whatever falls my way.
okay, bye charm and everyone...have fun!
a clue for ru4/6...the LAST one....please?
When I was in Edinburgh in May of this year, I brought back a copy of The Slimy Stuarts for my children, who took great joy in it. There's a picture of Guy Fawkes on the cover, getting ready to light the gunpowder, when he's confronted by a group of soldiers. Guy is saying "Er, penny for the guv?" I don't get that...
plural of a drink, often found in truffles
not the pirate drink?
yes thats it!!....thanx to both of you?
love your icon douglas
any clues for ur6,36 or ur7,52 please?

I had a job in the great north woods Workin' as a cook for a spell But I never did like it all that much And one day the ax just fell
thanks katy
yw
That was stimulated by noticing there were two ax4s in the grid...
Those ur's are new to me...
My icon has been appropriately updated...
I cannot believe there can be 5 'normal' words starting with that lone p at the bottom.
try ps
as I said, cannot be words I use every day....
i'm still missing one of those
some biblical words charm
charm , i'll tell you a secret (ps**), 3 of them relate to a book of the bible, the last one is the name of a kids character singing bible songs
thanks flosey. <going back to monkey>
Biblical words?
one of the OT books
Ah.
a clue please for tr8 please?
thanks, Katy.
Flask do you know the Canadian Prime Minister from the '70's - liberal
tr* calling (the TV show) + you and ** + first two letters of down under.

Happy Sunday, Babblers.. ready for Babble here!
Flask: there is a satirist in the US, Gary tru*****, change the third letter.
Hallooo, Aloyisius

Good morning everyone. And thanks for the clues to the tr's, they were driving me crazy.
Hey, mom, msree
Got it!!!...thanx all

Hi Charm, long time no post (me that is.) Katy, I love your icon.
thanks msree. it fits me to a T.
Good morning msree
What, you're cool in purple and red? Did you make it or find it?
Morning Douglas.
i found it on the international red=hatter's website.
i spend more time at my puter than anywhere else.
THe local Red Hat club meets at a restaurant near my baby's preschool. I love watching the ladies come in with their best gear and gorgeous hats.
Wish I looked that good in a hat.
we have so much fun. everyone looks good in a hat, you just gotta remember that it is for grins, not looks. Our motto is "Gaudy is Good!"
And I live in the South, where hats are almost revered. (and no one looks bad in a hat)
I'm missing one PS (plus 83 other words)...I have the biblical song, plural, past tense and "Hey, YOU". Any clues for the remaining one?
p + a spice (not pepper) and add a 3 point letter.
Katy, if you mean a seasoning, the sodium chloride doesn't work?
you need the hook letter after the spice matty
I do mean a seasoning. p (not peppery, if your food is too much this, add a potato to remove some of it)
according to dictionary.com, it's an ancient stringed instrument. my grands know it as the name of a character that sings bible songs.
you know what, i missed a charracter. you have to "attempt" at the end before the big count character. sorry
Thanks Katy - that did it for me!
I've always seen that word with an e toward the end....
sry for the confusion. must needs to eats something, mind getting confused . . . but then that happens at my age! :D
bbl all. happy babbling.
Katy, your clue was good. I'm the one who kept trying to put extra letters in.
bye katy

Thanks matty, I love Jayne!
;-)
thanks tasmin. lol
He's super, isn't he. Wonderfully amoral!
I love the scene with River standing amongst the dead Reavers.
Whoa smooth, that would be dark. I wanted to catch it in theaters, just couldn't make it.
ironically, I just saw it last night, before I realized that today was guy fawkes day.
Hey Smooth - great minds think alike. I actually think I like the film better than the source comic.
Have never seen the comic eiter. lol
but it was a really good movie
Watch it matty, isn't that sacrilege? ; )
Yep, Ms! Here, read this :D http://dvd.ciao.co.uk/Serenity_DVD__Re view_5539227
matty, the part I liked best about that scene with River, is when you see her tightening her grip to deal with the soldiers. I'm off to read your suggestion.
mmm muffin 'n custard
That was super Ms. I should mention, I wrote the article you are about to read :D
Hi all, wonder if you have media arguments about animals and fireworks - every year at this time the same arguments arise - lots of Hindus live in and around Durban and Diwali just a week before Guy Fawkes - must say less fireworks every year - especially big bangs - same in your countries??
i don't think animals should be allowed to light fireworks ;-)
Oh yeah - and always a spate of injuries.
actually our main celebration in my city is getting bigger and bigger: http://www.rhythmandbooms.com/index.ph p
kids seem able to buy fireworks that are almost sticks of dynamite - also lots of injuries - arguments is fireworks should only be allowed at organised events - not at private homes
I always get fireworks at home when i leave the toilet seat up.
yes Dachef that deserves serious fireworks
6 hours later and still need to find 52
hussein just recieved the death sentence
instrument, industry, sultry. There, got it out of my system. If I type them in this box they might work.
hi, everyone....yesterday was an awesome day
I didn't get instrument and industry, but I wanted sultry to be in the grid, someone sultry with morals lower than their knickers...
Hi, angel
That's in Dachef's profile...heh
hi angel, what happened yesterday?
I'm waiting for the day we have Welsh Babble!
charm, I got to go out yesteday and buy baby clothes and supplies for my expected grandchild. such fun!
Then there will be 470 words in the grid, no matter what the letters are...
The grid would have to be all l's and a couple of y's.
tetris is in the grid
it was our 8th wedding anniversary, and my husband gave me the most elegant diamond ear studs, and a teardrop pendant with five sapphires borderd by diamonds in white gold.
wow, angel, an amazing day indeed! :-)
matty, you still around? Sorry it took so long to read the review, I got sidetracked by some toast. Nice review. I always enjoy hearing what sci-fi fans think of the film. I'm a Browncoat and have no objectivity whatsoever.
Angel, I would bet that buying stuff for the grandbaby was more fun than the diamonds!
I'm here - just come back from puttin gup the laundry
morning
chores? what a bad example you are!
Glad you liked the review - I am such a fisher for complements :D
Hey Smiley
we spent the entire day together, and it was so good to have time to look back at where we've been and plan for the future. I loved buying the baby things. it's something I didn't get to do for my first grandchild, because of circumstances that I had no control over.
Morning Smiley.
I bought a bassinnette, bottles, outlet covers, blankets...wonderful fun.
The best thing someone gave me when my son was born was an ice pack. It's shaped like a pig face, covered with fuzzy 'fur'. Keep in the freezer and put on boo-boos as needed.
all right people... time to head off to work. I'll see you all later
bye smooth, sorry about the work thing. ; )
my duaghter uses disposable diapers...Dylan is almost out of diapers now, and has never had a cloth diaper on his bottom in his life....but I still bought her a dozen cloth diapers...they can be used so many ways
hey every one!,im new to this, a little help anybody?

LOL Angel
aw faerie - i had forgotten about faerie dust it's been so long....and nice to see you angel i was wondering about you only yesterday
Hey, TO (sorry if I'm slow on the uptake, modem troubles....)
hey charm!
On my first cup of coffee so can't think up a good clue, but the def for the te 7/36 is a yellow, crystalline, water-insoluble solid, C7H5N5O8, used as a chemical indicator and as a detonator and bursting charge in small-caliber shells (word reminds me of a te fish we have in the grid often).
hi bunny...*thinks has she forgotten anyone*
well time for me to hit the road gotta be at work by 10:30 for all the shoppers that are just beating the door down
Hi bunny, bye faerie
Hi and Bye BV
Bye Msree

Doh! Te 7/36 - te + when at first you don't succeed, *** again + cons + plural Bye FAerie

oh i didn't know the chemical; google
just checked, I came into the room at 7:05.
omg inge it takes THAT long today????
thats fast inge! its a really hard grid!
when Mattygroves thought she was all alone nere
Huh? Did I hear my name :D
Ahhh, I feel better. I have dial up so it is usually faster to monkey away than try opening two windows at the same time, lol.
Many words fall into place when you add past tense and plurals
btw what is today's theme please?
al7 please?
yes matty, you came in this morning with "echo, echo"
Guy Fawlks nite, I believe
Ah. So I did. Cheers!
well it's not altruist, i can tell you that! : D
and isn't "alturd" close enough. : )
hey smaller!
technically, you typed a word. charm, any donuts today?
SMALLS!!! OWL!!! INGY THINGY!!!!
al: plural of al 6, or al 5/16 + second vowel and snake
hey to!! that little ps word just kills me
la7/28, anyone?
NUT!
nutsy, you are awake and in babbleland!!
hey nut!
la 7: the most tardy, ppluraled
indeely do, been awake for over two hours
Ah, thanks Inge - that's it!
did we ever get a clue for al 7?
ok, then clue for the al5/16?
yes TO, start with al 5/16 and add vowel and sanke
Think of the Jewish holy book minus the T
al 5: al + double hump letter + fifth vowel + fourth letter
oooo ty ty ty!
hey smaller
morning charm!
matty: that was a great clue. i would have had it right away if i hadn't been trying to make "torah"
charm, you changed your icon, I like it
morning all
Hi dorens
thanks for the al7 (and 6 and 5)
Hey Dorens.
hi, this grid is tedius, isn't it?
Good morning Babblers. How is the grid so far?
g'day g'dorens
Inge, the other Opus was too small, and Opus is larger than life.
Hey Scrabbler, bonkler, JeeWhiz
Hi Scrabbler
hi dorens hi jee hi bonk hi scrabs
bizarre looking grid here
hi everybody, dorens love the look of wonder in your icon
Hi ya Charm and Temple and everyone! I think "tedius" should be allowed on this grid.
ty bonks
Put another consonant at the end JeeWhiz....
Jee, save it for the me words
ah...thanks....good clue from me and you
that dr6 is stooooopid
charm, do you want to tell me about it?
dr 6 seems to be used by the Scots meaning gloomy :)
add the adj. ending to the percussion instrument
never mind, I found it...and I agree with Charm...stooooopid
quite so, charm and jw
but thanks....
yes, thanks very much
I am off for another cuppa
see you inge
later inge
bye inge
bye Inge
bye inge...see you soon
Was it something I did't say? Is everyone gone? Am I here alone? Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Hi Cherrypop.
don't cry cheryy....i'm still here
me, too
Hi Cherry!
so am i :)
Whew-thank goodness-I'm not alone in this big room!
this is a GREAT grid for finding neologisms
I'm here, too.:)
hi jacs! : )
Hi all, I'm back for a bit
spectacular icon, jac
Jac, you icon is nifty, didn't know we could use ones that moved.
Hi TO & everyone.
And with fireworks too Jac. The only place I will get to see them!
Dorens - Did you click on my icon?
Hi Jac, Hi again flosey
yes i did!
jac, all iget is a black square
COOL, Jacula!
Haven't really got fireworks - 43 still to find. LOL
*gazes at jac's icon* oooooh aaaaaaaaahhh
Dorens - what a beautiful child
Hey Jacula - I've had a look at your profile - I'm looking to get rid of a rather nice (though probably not extremely valuable) 1950s Mahogony dining table - would freecycle be the answer?
Cool icon by the way
Poor bonker! Not seeing st4/4s?
matty - It might well be.
perhaps if i ring my noggin off the corner of the desk...*?@*&*...aah, that's better
LOL, bonkler.
Matty, why not donate it? We have several places that give furniture to needy families here, especially after those hurricanes last year.
Now that is what I call tunnel vision Bonker!
lol bonk....did you get any inspiration for the ps words?
a clue please for the SECOND te4/4
btw is that why you are called "bonk"
Where a cows milk comes from, attatched to udder.
Don't have all the t's yet, Flask, but my 2nd te4/4 is what a cow has 4 of.
jac, legs don't start with te...ouch
ROFLMAO
lol
OK, maybe I'm just being stupid, but nu4/6?
Bonkler - lol.
matty - Nekkid!
naked
jacs: i already have a firewors icon but i daren't use it or you will say i am trying to top you again!!! LOL!
nu 4.6 - no clothing
Has anybody done the last two ur's?
thanx Jac....now pass the fish please!!!
matty when you take off all of your clothes and run into the yard you are nu**
TO - the more fireworks, the merrier!
Got that one - I should have specified - the other one.
<8(())><
(and I avoid being nu4/6 whenever possible.
ah replace d with double hump
ur 6/36 - ur + t 4/9
Never mind - got it.
thanks flosey (late. but just returned)
lol....thanks Douglas!
al5/10 please, i feel really stupid
If you put a K in front of it, it COULD mean (if you're Terry Pratchett) being very, very sober.
just returned myself dorens
al 5/10 - a + opp of early
TY!
Thanks bunny
Could that word be a synonym for "recently?"
Ya know, I just don't look at the def., my brain cannot handle that much knowledge.
*scratches head* i can't keep up with you lot this morning!
i have a ur 5 and its plural
My phantoms today: altruism, satyr, taxidermy, trumpets, exude.
TO, have you had you coffee yet?
Douglas, that word is related to having wings...
Heres a discussion point: when was the last time we saw the letter "b"? Everything else comes up regularly, even the Q and Z, but the b seems to be MIA. Has Doctor God perhaps lost that one down the back of the sofa?
Not very Christian to burn a Pilgrim at this time of the year Doug
hey dachef!
Dachef - ROFLOL.
al 5/16?
hi, all. i have 70 left and am not liking the grid much!
Gosh, there are some awful ads on Television at the moment.
i had the same thought dachef!
Hi emusing.
Dachef, you if is very pretty...uh hum, I mean handsome.
de 8/50 anyone? its been clued before as debris/rubbish but that didn't help - maybe its not a common word in Aust.
And I meant ICON!
or has DrG deliberately "lost" that one, cos so many "naughty" words begin with b that he didnt want to start another argument?
al 5/16 - al + dirt and water make this
I have noticed that too Dachef!
my phantoms: altruist, sultry, turtle
ty bunny
de + t word for common, banal minus the final letter + i live in the **A
TO - su6 IS there!
almudes
de 8/50 - de + king of the sea ****an + another word for we
TO - no it isn't! su5 (like a teenager) is though.
wasnt neptune the King of the Sea?

Or is it Poseidon?

YW

anyone have the se4,9?
Rhymes with te 4/9
rhymes with the te 4/9
se4/9 = prefix for 6 (se**on in the church)
gender + cross letter
se4/9 & pl. 5 rhyme with mobile phone message.
ah ty, thought i'd tried that
good morning everyone
Hi again, smooth
Morning Smooth
Dachef, where did you get you icon?
Smooth-just read about Madison-sounds like a place to visit
morning smooth....is that your selfportrait from yesterday?
HA! no, I did have that up, but I changed it in honor of guy fawkes day. I'll replace it with my picture when I get home from work
BV - I think i got it from a Fractal library, cant remember the address. I googled something like "fractal dragon". If I see some pic I like, I usually save it to use as an icon.
The es words aren't jumping out at me - any hints?
es5/14 = write a 500 word es*** on what you did last summer
cherry: what were you reading about Madison? It sure is a good place to visit. a great place to live, too
es6/24 = e + s**** a guitar
TY, I have stained glass all over my kitchen, I think a few colorful prints would look good to decorate the walls, your really stands out to me.
es6/21 = to be in heat (like an animal) - I think.
it is outstanding, dachef
Sorry about this - so soon on the heels of my last - se5/16 and se6/27?
Your too Doren, that is a great picture. My kids are always sticking fingers somewhere or making odd faces.
If I took credit for anything other than stumbling upon it by complete accident, it would be quite immoral.
se5/16 = a type of plant. se + ***bo the elephant. and pl.
se 5/16 - se + another word for ignorant, ***b, plural for 7
can i have help with the mu's please
mu4=mu**cipal. and pl.

yes bunny that's the prayer book...other than those two i am stumped for that bottom p
ps = 3 are related to the prayer book.
thanks Jac....even if they're very tall and long? (one or two fell over from the weight of them)
ps5 bible verse and plural
ps4/5 = ps**, wanna buy a real rolex?
There are two ps 7/40's.
ps5, then add snake, or add past tense for the 7
Dorens - it depends how cold & damp it is where you are now.
Thanks bunny - you're doing well tonite
ah-- not particularly (at least nnot now)
cold yes, but not damp
Dorens - you might be okay to prune them down then.
ty i kept wishing for that word - and lo it appears! a miracle! LOL
Anike, es 6,21 starts like the one before it but ends in you and I =**
ask and ye shall receive
So, I probably shouldn't have cut down my cannas last week huh? They made me mad...

Hi everyone
Hi sha!
Hi biltong
The Bears did beat the Cardinals, but I predicted a total wipeout by the Bears...my only consolation is that everyone else did as well...
Hi all, al** I only have the first al work, clues please
Douglas I assume you're talking about american football? I just have visions of grizzly bears fighting with red-hatted cardinals!!! Weird!
Ah, you are asking for al4/5, peri
al4, what you give to the poor
al5/10 al + not early pl + past tense
and add a vowel to it for another (+pl)
peri - any in particular? 3 words come from a+ opposite of being early
thanks Becca, dodge and oldhouse, got the 3 from opp of early and a few others
The Cardinals used their secret weapon, the Papal Bull...cardinals are birds found throughout most of the US with a crest and brilliant red plumage in the male, hence the name.
LOL Douglas!!!
i keep thinking trumpet is in here
me too sha
When I was in Edinburgh in May, I was informed the US had zero chance of winning the World Cup...should I be happy that I was accurately informed?
I need help with the al5/16, al6/27band al7/40 please

Bears up 3-0
oh Eggcorn, I never would have monkeyed that one!
Over the Miami Dolphins
There is a Radio Shack commercial where a seated blindfolded man is identifying products as they bring them in his presence...
it's a shame I suppose, that I hate the colors of the Dolphins so much that I can never bring myself to root for them...
Could I have a clue for that in9, please?
except when they play against the Raiders. I am for any team that plays the Raiders.
They just showed a picture of that giant metal bean thingy in Chicago...
It's not industry, Biltong
the in 9 is plural the in 8 which looks like "obstinate" to me, but can't access the dictionary...
That doesn't help, does it?
no Douglas :(
the dictionary I finally got says "v.t. -- 1. to make hard, harden.... 3. obdurate"
in + the war in iraq is of indefinate ****tion and people are getting quite **sty about it
it sort of curves around the 6 pt letter without using it...
*crossing fingers for Biltong to get it*
Start the in with ... SOmething that lasts is said to en****. Change the en to in and then add on anagram of eat

hi jean
Now I feel just as sure as I'm sure that my name Isn't Willow, titwillow, titwillow That 'twas blighted affection that made him exclaim "Oh, willow, titwillow, titwillow" And if you remain callous and obdurate, I Shall perish as he did, and you will know why Though I probably shall not exclaim as I die "Oh, willow, titwillow, titwillow"
hello jean!
okay, I am going back to writing offline. See you-all later!
hi there jean
Bears fumble a punt on their own 5...
bye for now stid
bye stid
Is anyone writing as part of National Novel Writing Month?
not I, I'd rather be beaten severely than write
bye stidmama
There seems to be this underlying thread connecting writing and beating...
for good reason
it's torture
seems to be quite overt
Dolphins make Bears pay, touchdown pass, Dolphins up 7-3
for me at least
I can "rewrite" or "dress up" most anything... but to have to be the first to plop words on paper or screen... please, NO
I am writing about writers who write about the writers that participate in National Novel Writing Month, without being beaten.
Nice work if you can get it, Eggcorn
The Dodge Nitro just fell in a hole clear through to China, coming out upside down, of course
I have ps5/14, ps7/40 and ps6/24, clues for the other two p's please?
the ps4/5 has no vowels and a double cons in the middle
and there are 2 ps 7/40, Bittong
Dolphins defensive line intercepts Grossman pass, returns for TD, Dolphins up 14-3
the second ps has the contents of one of the two shakers generally put on the dinner table and a shortened version of a favorite deli bread
David was a music therapist before he was a giant-killer...

sinuate
wtg, jhall
oops..I'm sorry
ty, jhall
This is my first time here
Is it possible to out******* something?
As long as you are enjoying it, jhall :)
possible covers a bunch of territory
I love it but I don't want to break the rules.
That's part of the normal course of events in Babble, where you type a word in the chat box...
no problem, we all enter words in the chat by mistake
jhall, don't give it a second thought
phantom....altruist
ok. I will try to be more careful though.
Message to Dr_God...it wouldn't be a bad idea to have an "Are you sure?" box when one word is typed in the chat log box...

Good afternoon/evening all. Just when I thought I had seen my fair share of peculiar words, up comes this grid!
hihaz
hi haz
hey, haz!
Evening Haz
First or second sa 5/12?
So, is everybody enjoying or enduring it?
Hi, Haz. I have to find some warm socks or slippers before my feet get frostbite. Of course, walking a bit woud help the circulation, right? bbl
i know this must be obvious but the ps 4/5 is eluding me and i am fed up of monkeying it
Evening Haz - enduring at the moment
Walking would be good inge - you don't want dvt on top of frostbite!
the first sa 5/10 is the pl of the sa 4
sapphie - a word to grab attention (ps4)
saphii, when you want silence, no vowel in the ps4
ty haz
ol
belonging to or consisting of those branches of the Indo-European family in which alveolar or palatal fricatives, as the sounds (s) or (sh), developed in ancient times from Proto-Indo-European palatal stops: the satem branches are Indo-Iranian, Armenian, Slavic, Baltic, and Albanian.
Not that that helps...
Douglas said a wooooooooooooord.

tr8/80 - if you have the tr7/40 (President Harry cut short by french water) make the ending plural. Use a high scoring tile.
se5/16 - a fleshy plant
dougless, you compelled me to look up the kfc bowl
douglas....se + not smart
and i found this site http://www.theimpulsivebuy.com/wo rdpress/2006/10/22/kfc-famous-bowl/
Maybe this game will shut people up about comparing this years Bears to the 1986 Bears
Thanks Haz
You're welcome Betty Anne.
They had a picture of a comely young lady eating a KFC Famous Bowl and expressing enjoyment while doing so...
looks repulsive, did you check out that blog?
de8/50 - de plus most of a word meaning hackneyed, banal, and ending in you and me.
The author of the blog wrote...Basically, it’s a possible acute myocardial infarction in a five-inch diameter and two inch-deep plastic bowl.
i think i like that auther...eating pop rocks and drinking coke...he's a wildman
author
I'm off recipe hunting so may be slow to answer....
haz and doug, I appreciate your efforts, but I am totally missing the de8.
those KFC bowl things remind me of when I clean out my fridge and throw all the bad stuff in one container
good descriptive daisy
JeeWhiz-stuff, like rubble, left around
not to gross anybody out or anything ;)
Joey Harrington threw a pretty good block...
Jee - the beginning you have - de. The last three letters appear on the ending of a man's name Augus***. In between are three letters meaning three.
thanks...finally got it
Well done!
Second se 5/10?

I can't find the tr8. I have the first part, but not sure about french for water. Help please?

hi lib!
It has been the general consensus today that dr6 is a stupidhead word
I dressed my icon for tomorrow's theme, simply because my current one is totally outdated
Hey Douglas!
oh, I don't have dr6
Changing my theme involves more energy than I currently possess.
the new one wont show up, maybe tomorrow. Gute Nacht everyone
Which is funny in and of itself, as stupidhead probably isn't a word, but should be...
Night inge!

hehe. 43, going on (whats the limit?)
98
170... I'm trying to find the last two u's so I can eat something. Someone mentioned pizza and now I'm starving!
oh you know, you get a crazy store clerk or DMV worker and you're looking around for either candid camera or someone writting a Simpson's and/or Seinfeld episode
heheh.. I see. I completely understand
It's one of those chemistry words, pup...te + the sound a bird might make using the sometimes vowel and less one l.
yeah, rerun pizza, sprinkle something on the oozey
There... was that an obscure enough clue for everyone?
beggars can't be choosers
Does someone have a clue for ur6/36?
Obscure, but did the trick! Thanks smith - got fireworks
ur + I *** a sandwich last night
hooray puptone!
You're kidding! I was just thinking what a sucky clue that was.
good job pup!
ur6/36 - ur the te4/9
YAY, puptone!
I'm sorry that was the 5...
that was ur and te4/9
I think the clue sucked (only b/c I didn't get it) :)
UR + I bought my ****book for classes
Thanks all...that finished me up!
LOL, kristin.
well done smithchick!

good job smith!
YAY smithchick!!!
Night puptone!
Thanks again...Now I'm going to scrounge up something to eat that will not end up packing ten pounds on my backside.

hi jilli
What did you find out, jillibus?
hi kristin
goodnight smith...good to see you
You too, kristin. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers, for what it is worth.
ok... so... after looking at a few profiles, am I the Youngest person here?
night, smith
Did you save me some pizza n8?
I can't say that this was my favorite excursion ever, but probably one of the most uniqe and inexpensive
thanks smithchick :)
ya gotta wait and see, smithchick!!! (beautiful glass via google) - oh, and if you'd like to find out, anyone, how to get the themes and post them, email me (see profile)
ya gotta wait and see, smithchick!!! (beautiful glass via google) - oh, and if you'd like to find out, anyone, how to get the themes and post them, email me (see profile)
You're pretty darn young, smooth...
no i didnt save you pizza, I ate it all, 2 boxes
oh, didn't mean to hit enter twice!
HA!
That's just wrong. Mean and wrong.
yeah, I gotta say I find it pretty frugal, cept for the thousand dollar laptop I bought JUST to babble you
all I have to offer is leftover Boca burger...but it was good
what's mean and wrong, chick???
n8 didn't save any pizza.
21 left to go...

cool, greengeeny
This is why I lurk...I get caught up in the chat and don't want to leave.

HAHA troy brown caught the ball in junk trunk
Hi all.Haven't had much time to chat today but I'd just come back to dress for Lalique theme when I saw you all in here.
Everyone finished the grid?

hi jacula!
hi jac...nope 102 left for me...I've been chatting too much!
hi jac
hoho jac!!! Haven't had time -- just here for the giggles with 115 to go
tr7 and 8?? Are they related?
I've finished, but the chat log won't let me leave.
Click on my icon for early fireworks, those who haven't finished.
jac, I thought your icon was blac until I clicked -- cool!
smithchick - It does that to me, too.
So long. Good night
Tr7 and tr8 are related. The tr8 just adds another letter at the end. French plural is what someone said. I personally can't vouch for that as I speak no French.
so thats what it looks like
night, n8!
i've always wondered what a fireworks is
ditto mith
thanks jacula for the thing
night jili
ooh..pretty lights jac...now I guess I don't have to finish :)
Hi evryone
c'est vraiment a French pl for that word
hi reese's
tr6 & 7 are a mirror with a panel in same frame or an architecural column. Rhymes with name of 15th president of Canada (1968-84).
*architectural
Prime Minister, jac, please
lolo
Cool Jacula! Bye n8! Hello Reese's:)
hey sabrina did you stop PLAYING
hi reeses btw!
jilli - Sorry! Slip of the keys!
Like Tony Blur is President of the UK -- LOL!
smooth...you and kristin aren't the youngest here anymore.
jilli - Don't mention that man to me!
wha??? who is? lol
Reese's profile says 12.
smooth_pappa - Probably me!:))))))))
I hear he's in big trouble right now, jac
Stop laughing, you lot!
smith...watch it! (calling me out as the youngest!)
wel, I think it's you and me kristen. lol
smith and kristin are twins?
I'm just jealous, kristin. Bumping 39 in another month. Got the wrinkles to prove it too.
well thats true i really am 12. My friend at school told me about this site last year.
Nope, jilli. We aren't related.
darn tootin' smith!
Wrinkles at 39, smithchick? I've got 10 years' on you & I have none... yet... amazingly.
can I get a clue for the second tu?
um another word for poop
Well thanks a lot Jacula...Now I'm even more depressed about my wrinkles! Squint lines, that's what they are. Please tell me that you have grey hair!
LOL, smooth
jilli - I make it a rule never to discuss politics or religion with friends. Family is another matter... what with 2 students of politics & history in the house.
stools maybe smooth.lol
smithchick - grey hair? Dunno, my hairdresser never lets me find out!;)
my boys use that word alot lately...can't believe I missed that one
imaginary twins, I mean, like rennie and nut are sisters (or haven't you met them?)
LOL, Jacula...mine tries to keep up with mine.
Yes, I've met them...They are hilarious. Along with smaller. We could be twins, but only if kristin is gorgeous with no wrinkles, grey hair and is tiny:)
good idea, jac!
whew - halfway - but hradl any 7s >:(
yep...that describes me exactly smithchick!
hi melon
go melon head go!
Yeah, ummm....me too....
Hey melon!
I've still got 155 to go. I'm very slow and this grid is proving to be a challenge.
Alright, I'm really going now. I'll have to pop on here and see you guys again some evening. It's been fun!
you've got a deal then smithie! You be the pretty one, I'll be the rich and smart one :)
see ya later!
Bye!
can I have help with the tr's?
Bye smith!!

I am 31...
al7/40, at7/36, la7/28 (stupidhead plural), ps7/40, ps7/40, sa7/28 (another sstupidhead word), si7/32, ta7/28, te7/40, te7/36, tr7/40, ur7/52.

That list was for melon.
me jilli, though not a claim, it's true
Reese's, you're an amazing 12
reese...my son is eleven, and he doesn't have half of your maturity...
yep thats right jill I'm in the seventh grade.
greengeeny - tr7/40 & plural 8/80 = a mirror with a panel in same frame or an archtectural column. Rhymes with surnaeme of 15th Prime Minister of Canada (1968-84).
that's better, jac -- LOL!
*architectural. Typed it wrong AGAIN!
*surname. EEK!
hi, Reese's welcome to the million-mom website!
jac...that clue does not help me...I am not very good at prime ministers in canada
jilli - I made sure this time.:)
going to get supper -- back later
I've been here for a year now melonhead

Kate - debris.
de 8/50 discards, leftovers, debris...
lb, I'm sorry I had a phone call. I'm afraid I'm too slow witted tonight to get your in8 clue...
merci, lbd and Jac!!!!!
trudux is a jolly good word though, Pam. Wonder what it means?
A brand name for waterproof shoes, maybe?
yw pam, natasha, working on an easier clue for that one unless jac can come with one.
lolololol, jac--it means i am getting punchy and should call it a night soon, football nothwithstanding
in 8 means to make hard like a rock or unfeeling
ty
duat
sorry
maybe trudux means real fowl as opposed to faux dux
lb, it just came to me--thanks!
yw Natasha
my last word...anyone have the very first ta4?
hello all -- the concert is over. It was fine and I am glad I was able to listen to my kid play once more. And the rest of this month will be a BIG relief!
Greeny, brit slang for thank you, plus do re mi fa so **
good to hear stid and hello
except tomorrow, when I need to wake up early and take him to the orthodontist.
Hi Stid! love kid concerts
I would have never figured that out...thanks lbd...and fireworks!!
Hi stid!
whoo hoo Greeny!
HI natasha!
congrats, finishers... i am taking myself to bed...
hi kristinc! hi! we were in Seattle yesterday, went to the Frye Museum. they have an installation by Trimpin called "Klompen" ...
later pam!
Night Pam
YAY greeny!
hi stid!
stid...where is the frye museum? (still only year #3 in Seattle for me)
Hi stid. I have a dental appointment later today, too.
good night pam, take care!
So does my son.
Goodnight, Pam. Have a Babble-free sleep!
arg! the older I get, the more I dread the dentist...I'm in trouble by age 80!
Did I miss anything while I was briefly away? LOL
es 5/14?
go go power rangers!
kristinc - I dread the bills. But not as bad as yours over there in USA.
Kate - you might write an es5/14 for your English teacher.
no kidding jac! so bad now that my denist makes you pay the whole thing up front whether you have insurance or not
wow, thanks, i should've got that
ok then monkey
kristinc - Oh dear! That's awful.
y/w, Kate.
yep, we're talking about getting a different dentist, at least one that takes insurance (not that that will make me want to go any more)
What time is it in USA now? *Prepares self for several different answers.* Is it still November 5th there?
tr 7 pls?
7:30 PM in California
yes...only 7:30 PM on the West Coast
still nov 5th, 9:30 here
yes its still the 5th and its seven thirty on the westcoast
daisy - tr7 & plural 8 - think of 15th president of Canada (68 - 84), French name. Change middle letter.
9:30PM
sorry, had to run intereference here... the Frye museum is up close to St. James Cathedral. Admission is freeeeee.... fryemuseum.org
It's 3:31am on Nov. 6th here in UK.
hi daisy.
a lot of people on the west coast...
hi Stid :)
ty Jac :)
y/w daisy. Hope the clue worked.
gotcha...not far at all from me St. James is always a stop when we are giving tours to visitors since it is so pretty and has a great view of downtown!
hello zeekers, new face
I cancelled my last dentist appt because my dentist is dying and I don't transition well -- though I know he chose his replacement carefully and I have heard good things about him. *sigh* I dislike losing good friends to cancer...
hello zeekers!
hi. i play on and off. usually leave the talking to you guys though.
oh Stid, I'm sorry :(
how sad stid!
Jac, I found your Pres. clue:)
it happens. I need to learn to go with the flow better, but this feels really raw. My teeth can wait a few extra months!
stid - my dentist retired early and there's now 'a new broom' sweeping through his surgery. This new guy doesn't seem to believe in giving much in the way of treatment to his nhs patients.:(
Stid, he's playing at his desk if you want to call.
okay, I have 56 words left to find. Need to buckle down or I won't finish (and I really want to finish today). Back as soon as I have a list...
57 here!
Stid - same thing has happened at my doctor's! My old GP retired because he couldn't cope with the computers and not being able to chat with or visit patients (and he is only 55). His partner (2 yrs' older than me) is still there, but he seems to be letting himself get swept along by the new brooms in there.
nonono daisy! the last thing I will do when I am stressed is make phone calls. *wry grin*
so sorry about that Jacula. Wish people were more aware how change affects others.
Me too, Stid, on both counts.
ok :)
Can I help you with your missing words, stid?
how sad to loose such a caring physician jac!
I will let you know Jacula -- probably though! :-)
done! and I can clue too, til he decides he's hungry
YAY daisy!
good bye everyone, time for some shut eye, going in early.
was beginning to wonder if I'd finish, since he's not felt good and been on the couch for a big part of the day.
kristinc - Yes, I am sad to lose him. I didn't visit often but he was a friend as well as a GP do me. Years ago, he kept nagging me to have a tetanus booster because he knows I'm a gardener. I hate needles and he knew it! He turned up in my front garden one day, and I was out there gardening, and stabbed me with the booster! These days, he'd no doubt be struck off for assault or something. Back then, I thought it was a very ingenious (though sneaky) way of giving me what I needed.
bye reeces...have a great day tomorrow!
Well done, Daisy!
'Bye Reese's.
sweet dreams, Reese's!
*bows* glad to be done with it in case I hvve to be busy elsewhere
Truly a good man then jac, though I'm sure it didn't seem like it at the time. Hopefully you'll still see him in other capacities.
ah! a word I loathe is in here...the ps4/5! The only word I loathe more is pfft!
congrats to finishers, had to answer an email. dentists...i love mine, she's great, doctors...don't have one, have a pa who is also great.
kristinc - I muttered about him a bit when he 'blackmailed' me when my next tetanus booster was due.. I'd taken my (then) young son and baby daughter in for their injections and he told them, 'Mummy needs an injection first and so she's going to have hers first to show you both it doesn't hurt.' And then looked at me and said, Aren't you, Mummy?' grrr, mutter, mutter, you son of an unmarried mothers etc.
stupid-dumb french plural water word...
gidday folks
hi stid! how are ya?
either of the ES 6 would be appreciated at this point...
ps4/5 - beloved word of pantomimes and bad horror movies. 'He/It's BEHIND you!'
hi pappa! I am tired but well. You?
e+ what you do to a guitar
so so tonight
g'day, Colhad.
hi colhad!
and the other 6, change the last letter
hey there colhad! I've missed seeing you lately. Hope you're well.
thanks daisy, got that one... *looking for the other*
thanks for the es6's daisy!
hows it goin Kristin, and jacula
done with everything through the E words. *sigh of relief*
going good...sitting in front of a nice fire, thanks!
I'm sitting in front of a fan :)
No need to rub it in, Colhad. LOL. It's cold in UK and USA now.
go figure colhad! quite the weather varieties in Babble I suppose.
Is are conquered, moving on the to the L words.
Had a nice, relaxed Sunday with a roast beef dinner and caught up on some TV, Colhad. Did have to do a few chores, including ironing, but, all in all, not a bad day.
I's shouldn't be too evil I don't think
I still don't get the whole clue thing with the letters and numbers
L's that is
ahh, so plenty to keep you busy then Jac :)
Stid - the only L word you've really got to watch out for is the stupidhead plural of la6/18 (la7/28).
Reese's ... you were going to go to sleep early, remember? LOL
Ls are gone
yeah well I was on a roll! lol
okay, Reeses (although I'm contributing to the delinquency of a minor)...
when I was complaining about the ps4/5, that meant the word had 4 letters and was worth 5 points total
thanks Jacula, that "almost" caught me up, then I remembered the babbler's maxim: plural everything, then again in Latin!
I stumbled across a site called Tams11, lots of online games, few word games, MumboJumbo is my favourite, but I think you get a 30 day free trial, but I think it'll be worth paying for a membership http://www.tams11.com/
Reese's - If the word to be clued was 'queen', it would be qu5/16. qu because it begins with 'qu'. 5 because it has 5 letters. 16 because it adds up to 8 and 5-letter words are worth double the points.
do you know where to get the list of the first two letters of words and their point values?
ME 5/14 is too hard for me today. Help please?
the word for middle, with dbl vowel
ty all but no i don't kristin
sounds like a good site, Colhad -- too bad I can't afford to keep up with my regular games! :-)
me5/14=I was going to major in pre-me*+double vowel
thanks, got that one... and the 6 after? (since it's not plural
Colhad - I've bookmarked the site to look at later. Thank you.
nvm monkey got it
okay, you can get the list in a few places... the links are at the bottom of the page: Babbler's Annoymous, click on general and then stats or Lickety's Babble clues. Look at them both as they offer different options. Hollar if you ever need more help.
Good monkey!
on to the N words!
not a night for me to chat, so going to log off. hope to see you all on the morrow. Nighters and good luck
that's ok, I can't believe the amount of word games there are on the net
ok ty kristen i'll go now be back in a bit
goodnight lbd!
sounds good reeses
lol I'll go buy that monkey some nanners...49¢ lb down at the store
Stid - you'll find a divorce decree, naked people, a geek and some ridges in there, plus about 3 other things.
Night, lbd.
fireworks
Well done, Nat!
yay Nat!
good job nat!
hooray natasha!
two sets of fireworks in one day, thanks to jac
stid - the other things are nests, i.e spider broods etc.
Really, Nat? Double well done then!!
ok, I've got it down. I think
homework. brb
whats brb
So you see the list of possible words then reeses? You can either copy the list into notepad or word or you can open 2 windows at the same time.
be right back
Oh, just realised you probably meant my icon as well as your fireworks, Nat. Was just wondering how long you'd been up and playing. LOL.
Reese's - brb means 'Be Right Back'.
ty kristin and jacula
Incidentally, we've weighed 'Hunting Cat' and have decided to give him half as much again with each meal. It's stopped him pinching 'Homely Cat's' grub but it hasn't stopped him hunting. However, he only ate the head off the mouse he caught earlier, rather than everything bar the gall bladder and the tail and feet.
:((
Oh, and he didn't bring a bird home either (feathered variety).
clues for al,5-10 plz
Although ours is not a hunter jac, I do have one that is pushing 20 lbs I'm sure but he's also just huge to begin with...he was nearly twice the size of his sister by 4 weeks. So it is hard for me to know if he's really overweight or not.
Reese's - a + not early.
ty Jacula
ok now I'm actually leaving for bed. goodbye
goodnight reeses...well done figuring out all the lists!
nite Reese's
kristinc - male cats are generally larger than females but, in the case of our two, an extremely short-legged fluffy, part-Persian female and a big, rangey, long-legged Short haired, part Siamese mog, the difference is palpable. Kira (Homely Cat) is so short-legged she looks like a panicky climber about to top Everest as she occasionally decides to look for me upstairs... I half expect her to demand oxygen, ropes and extra crampons to supplement her outstretched claws. She has ru4/5ed my stair carpet!
One day, I must video her climbing the stairs.
*sigh* I suppose I should go fix His Lordship some dinner, even though he hasn't asked for it. might bbl, depends on what he's doing.
yes, I think ours is borderline at this point because he is just naturally a big guy...my parents have a "homely cat" twin to yours then because it is quite the affair to see her get up the stairs. She is 14 though.
Okay, daisy.xxx
okay daisy...sigh...fix something good :)
kristinc - Kira is somewhere between 8 & 10.
Both my cats adopted me as strays, so I can't be exactly certain of their ages. Hunter cat is now 4/6, I guess.
daisy - do a quick pasta meal or microwave something for him.
ours are extemely spoiled 2 year old siblings and they don't look or act at all related
Just going to dress my icon and profile ready for Lalique.
enjoy jac :)
tu 4/6 please?
tu4/6-another word for poop
Lalique is done!
tu4/6 - lump of pooh.
thanks kristin
okay, I hate to admit it but the de8 garbage clue is lost on me
yw kate
es 6/24 and es 6/21..pls
dets
sorry
Kate - de** - owing the bank but take out the 'b' + pagan ri** (but knock off the last letter) + not me, you or them, but ** together!
e + st5/14 + past tense
rockimggramma - it's okay.
Hello again everyone
Hi faerie. I'm here again.
Jacula please tell me what Lalique is?
faerie - click on my profile and all will be explained.xxx
Your icon is beautiful but I'm not sure
thanks jac...new word for me!
Faerie - I'm not a great fan of his vases, bu I love Art Nouveau.
y/w, kristinc.
Ok now I get it
Is Art Nouveau a Frenchman?
Thought you would, faerie!
Anyone seen Atalante on here lately? Speaking of artists and all that...
Truly awesome are work I can't imagine the time and patience it would take to create such a beautiful piece of jewelry
Well, Egg, Lalique was a French man. LOL.
No I've not seen Ata nor Jera
What's up with Jera do you know
thnx Faerie...clues for ra 5/22 and ra 5/20..pls
Not seen Jera or Ata, come to think of it Faerie.
yw
hi faerie btw (I'm having some lag on my wireless)
Hi Kristinic :)
I e-mailed Ata my mob. no before I was about due to be in her neighbourhood. Haven't heard or seen a thing from her since.:(((
ra 5/22 rhymes with ta5/22
for the ta 5/22 think of income ta*** and just change the ta to ra
and you will also get the 5/20 from that except that its plural
hello faeriekae -- hi again all. So, when you ask a child Friday afternoon on the way home from school, that evening, Saturday evening, Sunday morning and afternoon... how does he manage to "forget" homework due the next day until bedtime?
Wow Jac wonder what's up?
stid - I think it's a kid thing.
LOL Stid happens everyday in many, many households
faerie - dunno!
that's how it works stid!
in 5/12 and in 6/21..pls
stid - surveys of variously aged brains have shown that priorities differ... go figure, as you Americans say.
LOL -- true enough Jac et al!
ok so what about MovieMan heard anything from him lately????
In - because of lack of rain, this summer was the ***est in 10 years
faerie - can't remember when I last saw Movieman... in the Summer I think, before my holiday in Crete?
the 6 is a plural
what is happening to our Babblers :(
hooray...fireworks for me!
has it really been that long since seeing mm?
have they become phantoms?
WooHooo Congrats Kristinc!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats, Kristinc
Egg could be.....never thought of that
YAY kristinc!
Movieman has been gone for months... :-(
got them..thnx....I need se 5/16 and se 6/27..pls
Atalante was on last week, for sure.
thanks guys, I'm going to go reintroduce myself to my husband...babble over, football over :)
Well, I guess they have had to become unaddicted due to family pressures, have unaddicted themselves because bored or whatever, their computers have broken, they are too busy, etc., etc.
see you tomorrow I hope!
se 5/16 is a plant / flower and plural
Say hello to hubbykins, KristinC, and have a lovely evening (wet, perfect excuse to cuddle)!
goodnight Kris :)
se + weightlifters use ***bels to train with
Stid - re Ata. I must have missed her then. Wonder if she got my e-mail?

RA 5/22?
'Bye, Kristinc.
hi NatLT! are you recovered from LeslieAnn's wedding yet?
stid - sounds like fa (high score letter ed.
Stid if you have the ta 5/22 just change the 1st 2 letters
thanks Jacula and faeriekae!

RRRRs are done!
YEAH Stid
I hope they had a beautiful, relaxing time. looking forward to lots of pics of happy people in paradise!
not getting clues for se 5/16 and se 6/27
I know me too, the wedding pictures are great
hey everyone !
garbage gets put in a ***pster
SI 7 please?

Gramma are you a flower gardner? if so think of Se**** Autum Joy
Hi Helen
stid - normally has 'in' before it.
they look so happy, Nat! almost good enough for a commercial!
hi helen!
no..not really
thanks Jacula, *looking*
Hi ,Hell!
they really are, it was awesome, I will try to put a new pic from the wedding up daily
Or should that be, 'Oh hell! Am I still up this late? Hi, Hell!'
hey all, hey jacula - i was looking for you to give us the definite opinion on guy fawkes - good guy or bad guy?
ok not a gardner let me think or Jacula do you want to clue the se 5/16???
thanks. I will look for you!
a slow-witted person is sometimes called a ***my
faerie - I need no clues, was done hours ago.
I put you on my friends list so I can check the icon even if you are not here when I am! :-)
no Jac would you care to clue the se 5/16 please?
took me a while, but I got those SI words! 17 to go.
I'm also finished but not sure how to clue it
Stid - have you ever heard of the old Welsh 'transgression' (si*) eaters who ate food off the body of the deceased at funerals in order to absorb all the sins of the dead one?
Ss are DONE!
No matter, stid, you got the words.
I have actually heard of them, Jacula -- curious custom...
Those sin eaters had to live outside of the community because they were 'damned'.
se + gravel is hauled in a ***ptruck
thnx..got them!
thanks Egg I was lost on how to clue that word
It was the only food they got, stid, except what they could pick and catch for themselves. However, the death rate was high then so, I guess, they wer akin to the ta* collectors of modern day.
plus I really suck at giving clues LOL
Embryonic ta* collectors! LOL.
yuck. TR 7/40 please?
Jacs Why on earth are you not in bed?
because I'm not tired, Faerie.
harry s ****man + french for water
or Black B***ty
the 8 adds a consonant
got it Eggcorn! thanks!
stid - tr7/40 & plural 8/80. Think, for 7, of the 15th PM of Canada (68-84)..
Oh, never mind, stid. You got it.
LOL Jac that's a very good answer
FIVE left...
es 6/21?
LOL, faerie. You know the bed nannies are one of my pet hates on here, or any internet site.
AL 5/16?
ES 6/21 is latin word for the process a woman goes through monthly...
es + to rely on someone is to ****t them
Helen - es6 = e + s**** guitar strings.
tx!
al + wet dirt
stid - al5/16 = al + wet dirt.
thanks again Eggcorn!
then add a vowel and finally plural it
Snap, Egg! Oe 'jinx', as I vbelieve you say in UA.
my last two words are the last two words... *sigh*
I mucked that typing up, didn't I?
stid, my last 2 words were the in words.... what are yours?
actually the LAST TWO in the list, LOL -- the UR 6/36 and the 7 after...
ur + the books used at school
seven to go, is the power back on in Europe yet?

Congrats STID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Original form of a te4/9, apparently.
Well done, Stid!
good job stid!
*very tired smile* thanks all! I can probably hang out another ten minutes or so to clue... then I am heading into the other room to spend time with Tom.
I only hear part of it, but I guess there was a power surge in Germany that ultimately knocked out power to some 30 million people on the continent. Jac, were you affected?
wtg stid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Harp
5 to go
gooooooooooo Harp
55 to go
I'm going to turn on the news for a few minutes and I'll be back for the flip if I can stay awake that long bbl
wow I will have to see if my family in Germany were okay. My great-aunt is very elderly and ill...
good luck to those who are still working the grid
hope I'm not making it overly dramatic, or exaggerating, I think what I reported is accurate.
tx faeri !
wow. sounds like it started in France and got to Germany and Spain and a lot of the smaller nations. One report said 10 million were without power, but the worst lasted only about 2 hours. Switzerland was okay though...
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
hiya minver
I just saw you finish stidmama! Way to go stidmama!
Harp- no probs here, which is unusual, because this village normally has an unstable electricity supply.
that's cause there's a nuclear reactor in switzerland on every other block
thanks Min! welcome to the grid! how are you today?
Well done, stid!
I am doing well. Had a busy weekend of house hunting
DONE!
Sorry for delay, was off getting my man up for work.

Congratulations harpjane on your fireworks!Hooray!
What question was that, Hell?
thanks jac, I don't know much about guy f, I must admit. Look foward to learning more
Congratulations, harpjane
Guy Fawkes was a victim, Hell, if that was what you were asking.
YAY harpjane!!!
a dude that tried to blow up the parliament was a victim?
i suppose that's what i meant, cause it doesn't make sense to me to have a holiday for a traitor - it's not like we have benedict arnold day here, lol
Weak chap, who wanted to be popular, not that he didn't know where his loyalties lay, but...
new picture!!
house hunting again, eh? not too cold for that yet? any luck?
Egg - read Hell's bio on Guy Fawkes, save me writing one.
jac - who's bio>

Sorry, Hell! Read jilli's bio.
That's a pretty picture! Who's the lady in red?

Blame the French lood in me for the honesty??

hey gang
We saw several houses we really liked a lot. We're at a disadvantage now that it gets dark much earlier.
hey chj -- never heard how the opera went the other day -- or was it a "show?"
Hello chj! How are you doing? Did you finish the grid?
hiya chj
are we all choosing places we want to live or something? Nobody is in the right place all of a sudden!
I actually don't waer much red, but I do like it, she was great, she let us pick our own dresses and just had us all be in the same color
yes, the short days make it more difficult to see how it sits on the ground and how it relates to other buildings and the plants (for me that would be important)
Very smart on her part -- you stay friends, and the dresses are something you can wear again.
and I am getting really really tired. Not going to make it to flip, I am afraid. See you-all tomorrow, I think.
hey hey hey!
night stid!
We did look at a few houses in the dark, but we liked the inside so much that I am sure the outside wasn't that bad either. We can always go back in the day to look at the outside. We still have many more houeses to look at also. Even though I really liked house that we saw today and would like to buy it, but too soon.
I am off too, nighty night all
Goodbye stidmama!I will see you tomorrow in the log!
