So the Marine, bless his boy-heart, wanted to look under the hood. And he did. And then his relief showed up, and they (two of them!) also looked. So I had three gorgeous men head-down in my engine on the South Lawn of the White House. Lawd, lawd, it was awful. At least the weather was good.
I visit Chicago a couple times a year -- my sister lives in Deerfield. so, if the timing is right...
And one of them twiddled a something that made something else move, and that let the gas get back in the engine, and lawd lawd lawd, I got out of there as fast as I could.
If I didn't have photos, no one would have believed me.

I was reading a magazine earlier and found a snippet I thought I'd share with you word fanatics. Someone asked about the origin of the phrase, 'Show a leg', said in order to encourage them to get up out of bed. Apparently, it is of naval origin and dates back to the days when sailors were allowed to have their wives on board ship. In the mornings, the hammocks would be checked to ensure that the men had reported for duty. The women would be required to hang a leg over the side - 'show a leg' - to prove that they were female and not required for duty.

i often put the volcano in even if it isn't there... so used to seeing it that i expect it
