hi Sprite
hi sprite -- wondered where you had been!
Clues are up, and for those who don't know there is a new feature where you can bulk add all your words from her to the clues page.
flip
I missed you too, and babble, and even enable (man, that was cold turkey speaking, that last one...)
'here' not 'her' I mean.
*hugs Lickety*
We love you Lickety
((sprite))
Thanks again and again, Lickety -- I've been telling people about that new feature
Hi Sprite

It was great Herin. We went with my sister and brother-in-law and celebrated 70 years of wedded bliss -- we contributed 50 (this year) and they 20. A good time was had by all. Consumption of red wine went up precipitously!
jawy
wow thats cool ARB
Sprite did you yell at the pc people
nm -- ng
We were in Orvieto, Sienna, FLorence and Rome. Good food. Good hotels. Lousy exchange rate.
jilli: it is a laptop and it kept overheating and lots of things stopped working properly. Had to send the thing to a repair shop to get it fixed. Was without pc for a whole week! Had to use hubby's for babble :)
must save pennies (ha!) for a laptop backup, I'm totally puter-dependent
lady: yes I sure did. The guy's colleague was ill and he had to pick up parts and pcs, so he wasn't in for some of the time... told him to use a cell phone next time!

That's good - do you start at the end as I do?
*shudders at that thought of jane*
who wants the 2 co* 7
I like LLamas they are cute, except when they spit at you as a sign of love
It's not llandudno either, or that other Welsh toen Llanfairsomethingsomethinggogogoth
tboth are 7/32
haha jilli

soif = thirst
hi all
I cannot figure out the 2nd co 7. I have the South American money. ANy help?
add it to your car to keep from having embarassing steamy moments on the road.
ARB, do you need the cool word or the misspelled french word?
Got it from your clues. Thanks e and f
ARB, think of an industrious six-legger playing jazz, tha would be one co*****
fffffffff you gotta not use a word from the grid when you give clues!
teehee. Got them all now
ARB, the to* 5,14 I only got bvecause of my 2 semesters studying chemical endgineering
don't know the south american money
tsorry melonheadjujube, I just realized i had the long woord, but not the smaller one. Thanks for the clue :)
fff, can you share on the to5?
-1, it is a chemical compund
fyi, our friendly troll from yesterday, key-wevy, got a whopping 96 points even though he/she said he finished and spent 9 hours working on the puzzle....
meh, I'm math, not chem... :)
I keep trying to write lanolin
ask me about graphing theory or combinatorics, I'm your mate... chemical compounds... not so much
How do you get the list moved to Lickety? I heard something new is available
Nice, can i keep calling you -1? Ok, lets see, a clue... it is between TOLLS and TOMBS
cool, I can work with that! (and of course, it's the same thing after all...)
pigeon, copy and paste the entire list into the Bulk spot at the bottom of lickety's page
Pigeon highlet your word list and copy to the add bulk at bottom of list
pigeon, copy your list, go to the bottom of Lickety, paste it into the box, hit Add Bulk
s'OK fortississimo (fffffffff) - i went icon shopping, just got back. we all do it from time to time
I am still not sure if it works with Mozilla i didnt get that info cleared up this morning, go ahead a try though

Hi Melon
Laila Tov Melon. L'hit

Just one 7 missing!
KKiln, boker tov

dude, just as I typed that... I figured it out.
it's always the easy ones...
nite jilli
night jilli, sweet dreams
happens all the time e2 the pi'
it's how the brain works
often all it takes to find a word is to ask for a clue
Got all the 7s!! 1 is a chemical, 1 you put in your car, one is a plant and the other is either a misspeleld french word or a correctly spelled south american currency.
Sprite you rocks at this
fireworks
drB is the rocking one! Yay!
YAY DrB
Yah DR
nice, dr b!
i wonder if that's the same reason (neuro-chemically speaking) that makes you feel better after you tell someone your problems?
yay dr b!!
I typed that before DR called but how about this WE ALL ROCK
And we're cute too
and handsome
and intellectually adorable
c's gray
I am still waiting on news about my friends having her baby
And tall and thin
any hints on the io7?
and rich... ok, now I am exaggerating
hehehe
io + not a single person(s)
it is not iontwos, I will tell you that much
How long does it take for a baby to appear??? I have waited over 24 hours for my friends kid to appear and still waiting, poor lov
io7 = a chemical term
that is not really out of the ordinary, lady, don't worry
Poor lov i feel for her as im in Aus and i cant do anything for her as shes in the states
it is between ionium and iotas :)
wouldn't be so much you could do for her if you were there, lol
ionspouse is, oddly, not working.
I know but still, poor lov plus i wont get to see him either when he finaly does appear
No p
Have fun gang. Later.
Bye DrB
newborn babies look a lot like minced meat at first ;)
bye drB
anyone has the j?
bye dr b
rhymes with a type of song sung at sea
Ewww and true Sprite, my boy says hairless wrinkled monkeys but i thnk they are cute as they are not mine
got to go, bye all
bye MVA
j + industrious 6-legged creeper, make adjective
got the j, it was lame... i don't like it when you look in the dictionary and it says 'alternate spelling of: .... '
tsorry sprite, typed that before i saw your clue
np at all, glad you got it
bah. I hate io antyhing right now.
and chemical compounds.
poopers, all of them.
still looking for that io7, e2pi?
maybe.
juuuuust maybe
tell me when you know for sure :)
and if I were? Just, hypothetically speaking.
in that case, I might be able to point in the general direction of io + zero people, plural
AAAAHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
but that is only hypothetically, of course ;)
I really have to take me some chemistry.
darn, I said a word, am sorrrrry
I have found 2 words in spanish so far :)
Thanks sprite - didn't have that one :)
gosh sprite, keep talking!
:) just found the outer piece of clothing + vowel, always miss that stupid word!
coat
4 words in spanish so far :)
whoops sorrry
jup saani, that one, plus vowel

e2pi: think the dangerous stuff that comes out of snake's teeth P6 and change the first letter.
penom
sorry, wrong window :(
LOL
hee that's exactly where I was going, ffff
hahahaha
that would be 5... you need a 6 letter P ;)
thank goodness a smaller puzzle after some big ones! maybe i'll try this one
just got back. thanx sprite
yw :)
lanose
sorry sorry sorry, wrong window again
thanks f :)
ti have to be more careful :(
it is fun, franny, but it has some pretty stupid nonwords
ffff is on a roll!
finished the 7s and 6s, i hate the 4s, i miss so many non-words like yytr: the noise made by a grywigunn when stomped upon by a klargtiankan bugrogogonk
oh great. well, my mind isn't working properly right now anyway. got back a bit ago from a christina aguilera concert. and that's after getting up at 5:30 am to take MIL to airport! i'm Bushed! Oops... i mean pooped. nothing "bush" about me - yikes!

I have no idea whom is Christinas troup in Aus but thinking about suprissing my other half
interestingly, the question mark shows NO ENTRY for this stupid word in dictionary dot com. It's probably one of ffff's yytrs that glarnk on the glllyardard.
have that one herin and cl not far
I'm two away from closing out the c's...
HIL - i recommend it - just try to find out when HER show starts and go then. really, she put on a polished and classy show

Morning Haz, good to see you before you head out for the morning.
Good morning FMitch - the sun has decided to shine again today.
Good morning, folks.:-)
um ill have to think about it thanks for trying
hey jac
Jacula!
trying to get last so5/10. pls clue me.
Good morning Jacula - good time in Amsterdam?
It's trying it's best over here too. Hey Jacs!! Morning.
i got it thanks
phantom aloof
Yes thanks, Haz. Lots of walking though; got sore feet now. FMitch - The sun's trying its best here, too.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, I know you were looking forward to it so much.
Love Amsterdam, a very compact and interesting city.
got it!
Haz - I've never seen so many bicycles!
thanks i worked it out
So it's really as described, then?
They weren't loaded up as in Greece, though, were they?
Haz - As described and so much more. I'll write to you about it.
Haz if you haven't been you really should, even if just for a weekend.
Haz - They were! They have 'work bikes' which have add-ons as your family grows.
That would be good - it's another on the list of places to visit.
I like smaller, walkable cities.
One thing, Haz, and I'm sure FMitch will agree here... if you want to see the main tourist attractions (museums, Anne Frank house etc., GO EARLY. the queues are horrendous.) Re. the walking, be very careful with the mad traffic.
Anyway, Haz., I'll tell and show more when I write to you.
Advice noted! Standing in queues is not my idea of fun. I'll look forward to hearing about it.
V true Jacs Not a bad grid today for a change
Grid seems okay so far, FMitch. Well, I've managed to find 50 words whilst nattering.:-)
C appears twice though - what is it with that letter this week?
We could nearly have used both in the one word - but it would be irrigation of too personal a nature....
LOL, Haz.
Having just *had* to try that, Haz, I did find a co6/27 (settlement).
LOL, can we use that today? as it is very cl5 to an L4
What boggles my mind is that people are prepared to have them, and be SHOWN on TV having them. Ugh!
Thanks for the settlement, Jacula.
and you have to pay for it too
Yuk, Haz! I was about to have breakfast.:-(
Sorry!

hello
'm a noob
Hello Andree & Pida - and anyone else I can't see
morning early morning babbler. (at least from my end)
night at my end :)
5 in the A.M. Waaay too early. Hi lynxxx, Andree, pida
Hi Bella & Charm
hi lynxxx,charm,bella
good morning all :)
hi granny
hey, granny
hey grannymaxx
how many words have you guys found? I'm on 12 - but as I said, I'm a n00b
early 6:20 here on east coast think we'll get the worm? :)
117 words total today. 71 left
good morning everyone
fool
Hey, Eva
fooly
fol
sorry!!!!
heh - i nearly did the same thing
hi eva
hi eva
too early for the penalty box.
hi eva, 33 left here
hi 6a
easy to do :)
I'm about half way Bella. It does take a while to get into the game so hang in there. If you run out of words to find you can also use Licketys clues which give you the first 2 letters and the number of letters in each word. Link is at the bottom under Friends of Babble. Enjoy.
my grid didn't load right whats the block after a a i ? e
Hi Eva
try refresh granny
W grannny. try 'refresh' to reload the grid.
a a i w e
that happens to me sometimes
ty will try
i am pretty computer illiterate compared to most 12 year olds, i cannot understand this new thing on lickety, have tried, now will have to get one of my kids to show me,lol
sorry, Andree - no help here. I'm a BJ fan myself....
lickety was on earlier explaining, i need visual to understand
Lickety is impressive with everything on the help page!
bbl. must get ready.
i know charm and i was pressing everything in sightbut can't get it to copy and paste, as i say once i am shown i am fine, telling me how is a waste of tinme, lol
andree-I wasn't here for the earlier discussion, but i just go to the printable version on lickety's page, the one with no boxes, select all, copy, come back, open up a word document, paste the list into that and then toggle back and forth between the grid and that. I know there must be much more elegant ways to do it, but that's all I'm capable of without being lefd by the hand
When you copy it into word doc. try to use the column instruction or you could print off several pages. That way you can print off one page and have it to hand-save going back and forth
never thought of that deeha. Thanks
it has changed apparently much quicker, you go to bottom of page and press bulk, i am unable to get it
i usually just print it when i am ready to use the list, might be slower but works for me
ooh - that was great
thanks Andree
whtever for bella
and whatever too
i copied and pasted my list into the bulk section in likety 's page and it checked all the ones I've found
93 left
okay-what's with the two ll words?!

I

it's like a lettuce, like an endive. Ends with another word for idiot, only backwards
Lots of Dutch words today. I always try 'em bacause sometimes I am surprised. But the Dutch word for a leafy green vegetable that starts wi is not working. Sigh.
I know, cant get any closer
almost dutch. I thinks it's Belgian
romaine, boston, redleaf...
wi wi* <smart> + being a**** <laid back>
Whaddaya know. Doubling the vowel top make it Flemish DID work!

Yay Flemish vowels!

I use it in salads, with the latter vowel singular.
we don't have it here in New England, apparently
Same thing as chicory.
i have it now too ty...never heard of it here either
that double vowel had me tricked for a while. It's a whitish leafy thing in salads. Deprived of light. like me

Hi NoNo, seems OK so far. 39 words in about half an hour, few of them really whacked out. We did have some fun with the Flemish vegetable word...
Thanks, ch, that's gotta be the one!
howdy- ho hop ons! good to see you!
lol
yes, a rather dull grid, except for the Belgian vegetable.
youre gonna get hop ons....
Copy of...? But I have both ci's now anyway.
flemish vegetable??? guess i better google that one
Dull, OK, but I had a NASTY day at school and need some simple distraction. I like this grid.
Oh, the vegetable is from all over. The spelling is Flemish.
****kind of dumb and not enough coffee yet*** Belgian vegetable????
hop ons- did you see idol last night
ohhhh i thought you said cl sorry
noper... sure didn't. One of my guitars came, so i was playing video games all nite
Oh, THOSE words! As in revenge of the. Yup, but thanks.
wi + cross + "a **** and his money are soon parted", backwards
I do still need a cl5 and a cl6, though. So let's see... NOT the copy words, not the copy words without the end vowel, not the thing that causes strokes if it gets into a narrow blood vessel. What do I need?
Oh, I see the 5...
you have cl5, near?
don't get too cl*** to the word!
So also not nearby. What cl6 am I not seeing?
I think I'm missing the same cl as you monkey
I think I'm missing the same cl as you monkey
wow, inge2, that's a crazy word!!

Yes, Inge, JUST nw spotted it.
And the cl6 that is the cl4/5 with an ending -- a vowel + cons.
Hmmm. not the same as a copy word? The only 6 I have is a copy word...
it's not the same, monkey
Working on it...
ah, got it, thank you ch. Mr. Gore ending, Monkey
Thanks! Good thing I'm a fan.

Thanks everyone.

Isn't the author's name Vidal? Or is that Videl?
Good morning Babble Team!

WSF, I think you smell an advantage for yourself in that move
The one you're supposed to have! My school motto was 'Labor Ipse Voluptas' - work is a pleasure in itself.

Poor Lori----what did you do??
It was terrible Scrabbler, I had to take methodone to get through it....
Not so long ago Iread the harrowing and yet very funny account of someone whoi could not get two terriers (hers) out of a wild elk carcass.
Lori--there are way better drugs than methadone!
MG--holy moly!!
Probably our Nika. so now the skeleton is clean?
for drugs, i prefer babble, myself
It was virtually clean already, just some ligaments holding the vertebrae together
I would have preferred Babble too shdy....
I spotted another deer carcass off a road near me--I will retrieve it when it is cleaned up by scavengers
good point, Lori, lol
Coffee refill anyone? And I bought chocolate milk for cafe mochas!
yummy, ty scrabbler! ****sip***
Here comes the garbage truck--I got my stuff outside in time this week

Be careful it's hot, and don't spill it on your keyboards.

don't be such a wi*****!
That's true, it'll all be in the tone of voice..

I HATE C"S
except that the blue flowers on the wi are so pretty
I'll insult no gardeners or vegetable merchants and I should be safe.

frustrated with the BF right now... asking him his opinion on something, and all im getting in response is "whatever" and "eh, dont worry about it"
u put it in your car radiator kc

I figured you had a goo dreason for not rresponsding BR
i would if I could but I can't kc

6/21 is almost the thing between the seats in your car (missing last letter)
( did I upset someone saying I am back ladies???if I did..I didn't mean to )
these fellow ladies seem to think all Babblers are female, I notice taht when they strt revealing presonal stuff
ladies and gents then?
I certainly am not upset.

But then again I belong to two generations ago
sorry....
5/12 is c + 2nd on 4/4
finally! got it thanks
BR, you represetn the male continguent of Babblers, so speak up more often
inge, it's not necessarily a generational thing, I think it depends on personality.
BR is a human being of few, pithy words, inge...
my reference was meant to be humorous
And, it was, BabbleRabble-rouser!
i thought it was funny, br!
so, we all good. carryon
I missed it... work stuff... sorry

Scarlet, you can leave the window periodically then Rhett can take your place.....Is Jim a baseball fan as you are?

good day all-any clues for fo 6/27?
Hello there, majmom.
It's funny - I was visiting a friend the other day and she confessed that she used to think I was very quiet 'But there's a wicked side to you, isn't there?'
hi majmom
fo6/27 has the same structure as a deadly toxin.
Scarlet, Football is not my thing but once a game starts and I am in the room I can watch for a while....my son in law played poker (for charity) with David Wright and Juan DelGado and he was thrilled. He got autographed balls for the 2 boys.
WE know that, Haz. *chuckles*
ty haz
Oh, that
haz, not getting the non clergy clue?
You're welcome, majmom.
Haz, I think the clue for the hippy insect is a classic
is a nice story, Annie. My stale joke is that football is my husband, baseball is my "chocolate" and hockey is the chocolate-covered husband!!
cafe au l*** + sometimes vowel, doxy

Absolutely, inge.
Just on my way out the door,,see you soon...you will meet me at the airport?
Hi inge..I missed the troll..thankfully
What is the theory, inge?
caitlyn, I will be the lady with a small suitcase, magazines and a very LARGE smile

Well, I was pretty sure he/she was a troll -'Be my friend' - then did a countdown to fireworks, then claimed he had been on for 9 hours.
Wow, you heard me!
Not going to fall for the troll act thank yuo everyone for warning me :)
That sounds as though it is a logical progression of thought, inge and Haz.
Teague, there are usually people around who will watch out for you.
hey teague!
thnx
hi!!!!
Since nutty likes to play with trolls, it is difficult to ignore them
Hi Teague
LOL inge...
hi caitlyn
Hello Teague.
OK , off to do shopping research. HA ha ha
Hi all, wa4/9 please
hi scarlet
Bye for now inge
Enjoy your research, inge.
NM found it
Fireworks!
10 second rule was well applied there! Congratulations peri!
Hi peri And Congrats!!!
it was a new word for me Haz, thanks
Congratulations, peri!
yay peri
Haz, please explain the 10 second rule, wasnt in class that day
Scarlet are you done
congrats, peri!
I have four left, peri!
good job peri :)
need any help Scarlet
The 10 second rule applies mostly to periwinkle. She asks for a clue, then shortly afterwards says NM - she has found it. So the 10 second rule is to wait 10 seconds, if she hasn't said NM< then you give the clue.
i'm back for 2d try
any clues ja 5/24 and la 6/18?
ROFL, peri, you little devil
I'm poking thrugh the last few, peri, but thank you very much for offering. Maybe in a few minutes! :-)
that must mean I am smarter than I think I am then, Haz, just impatient
ja5/24 - removing a u makes the ja5/24 look less cheerful.
i've heard about the 10 sec rule too:)
yes inge I noticed that last night. Let's just ignore it (him, her) if he signs back on.
I KNOW you're smart, peri!
I can match you for impatience, peri!
majmomla6/18 la plus what is on your face
that is my only flaw Haz :)
tx again haz
LOL, peri!
Hi fellow Babblers!
I wish it was my only one as well!
ty caitlyn
Hi Flask
hi flask
Hello Flask - how are you?
have to get working on my resume, Scarlet, I leave you in Haz's capable hands
see you all tomorrow
yw majmom
next time a troll asks if we are boys or girls, let's all say that we used to be boys but didn't like it so we had the operation to become girls.
HI and bye Flask,nothing personal
Bye peri - have a good day.
am well thanks!!
And when they ask our ages, we should say either, "I'm 4" or "I'm 93"
bye peri!
I like that answer harp..LOL Bye peri
It's the best place to be, peri. Have a wonderful day!
Hello, Flask1! Good to see you.
Hi....you too Scarlet.....
just brought in a nice cup of freshly brewed coffee, anyone?
Lovely Annie (slipping in a dash of brandy.) Thanks
One here please Annie!
Black and fragrant, please, Annie!\
And I just returned from the podiatrist office and he gave me a pain killer and I am in la-la land
We found out that our bonus is going to be wonderful this year, but I'm having to deal with an idiot co-worker... so my good mood is fading fast!
Black, fragrant, and share, please, Annie! LOL
Oh?....did he not give you some to dish out among your fellow babblers??
lol
*handing Flask her coffee, and a black and fragrant coffee for Scarlet...caitlyn has hers brandied*
then we can all join you in la-la land????
Ignore co-worker Niamh and think of that lovely bonus
Niamh... don't let anyone take your harmony!! Annie, isn't there more to share... hmmmmm
Flask, not a one, I asked tho
Mmmmmmmm thanks Annie
Huh!!!....change yer podiatrist!!..lol
Hahahhahha, Flask1!
MMM......you can't beat a freshly brewed coffee......
I have to rant for a minute... sorry! This guy is in one of our regional offices. I helped train him yet he pretends he was never told any of the things we went over... now he has to call, while he's at a customer's site and we have to VNC in to do his job for him!!
*coffee is gone* Flask, next time I go I will threaten the poor man
Nor a freshly-brewed LaLa boost! LOL
Niamh, there will always be the complainers... he will become transparent soon enough to the higher echelons!
Annie...just threaten with the Scottish Flask......he'll soon buckle!!!!
You get people like that all over the world Niamh, all mouth but not really able to cope with the work
I can't get into Lickety's list. Is anybody else having the same problem?
Don't worry Niamh.....he won't last long......
As we say in the states, (especially Texas) he's all hat and no cattle!
Niam--sounds to me as if he cant do the job,,, the higher-ups will find out soon enough
MAH - it was working okay earlier on - sorry you're having problems.
I agree Annie....give him enough roppe...........
maybe even rope...lol
Flask, I have a wonderful Scottish friend here in the States, will get the dreaded buckle from him and then we will see what happens, poor doc
its ok here MAH
I'd be happy to give him a rope
I changed my icon in the interest of a little literary history. Enjoy

Congrats doxy!!!
MAH.........have u tried re-starting your pc?

Until another day, doxy.
Bye doxy - hope you get some rest.
Must go too. Back later!

I may just ahve to go back to work! :(
it does rather lull you into a false sense of security
does that mean there are easy grids?
Some are definitely easier than others. It's all relative.

There are some easier than others!

Hi all -- I stopped in while eating a late lunch. What's the 'add bulk' dealie?
Must do something about that picture :-))
2-2-2
It is, Vicuna... It's what Hagar the Horrible's dog,
Snert does!!
if you enter words at work and then go home - you can copy all the words from babble and paste them in at the bottom of lickety
Gwen~ You can copy and paste your word list into the "add bulk" section of Lickety and POOF your list is in without retyping it all!
wish i would have seen that 2 days ago
Thanks! (I seldom scroll down that far on the page!)
It just happened yesterday, anawaltgal.
It doesn't have any def under the question mark, so I believe you, Scarlet!

I thought everyone knew, Esprit!
Scarlet, I have been told to hit the road on more than one occasion
LOL.... this is the antibabble black hole of intellectual nothingism
and to think I was going to dive in and find more words...<sigh>
You think we're doing nothing? I promise you, Scarlet, these words aren't finding themselves!
at least we are unpretentious!

no caffeine either scarlet?
Question for anyone who knows anything about birds out there...
Yes! Mountain Dew and I are very well acquainted... as well as two, very strong cups of coffee. I love birds, Angela
shoot angela...
well, we have a male and female cardinal at our new house. They sit in the rhododendron (sp?) in front of the bay window but are attempting to fly into the living room. Not fast enough to hurt themselves, just enough to make a racket and flip my cat out.
what do they want???
It's mating season here in NC, Angela...
( hang sheers?)
your windows are too clean
Aha! Maybe that's it. Thing is - when they fly at the window their beaks hit, but I don't want them hurting themselves.
lol wurdy...not too likely :)
Angela, at my last house I had a cardinal that spent the whole day purpously running into my sliding glass door. Nothing would stop him either
there is, perhaps, a reason for the term "bird brain"
my cat runs right up to the window too and they just don't seem to care. very strange.
lol kc
they see the reflection in your window and think that there is another bird there - - or - they see nothing and think they can fly through. Either way, it is doubtful that they will seriously hurt themselves.
Kamikaze cardinals? The bluebirds here are constantly perching on the rearview mirror on the driver's side of the car... they like the reflections.
we just have woodpeckers trying their hardest to find bugs in steel poles around here
to5,14
Ok. I guess it's not an unusual occurance. Any idea how long this lasts?
The birds have a limited scope of vision, and the light reflectin from the window precludes them from seeing the whiskered one
lol carlee
LOL, kc
If my cat Bob were still alive, this would have sent him over the edge!
sure u laugh..u dn' thave to LISTEN to it all day
sorry carlee - my sympathies then :)
hmmm to 5...thinking of a clue for it
( yea...sure ... uh huh...)
kc said it... bird brain... Until they figure out that it hurts to fly into a window!! Poor carleekat!

anno, io + nada and plural it

Angela, I had similar problems with blue jays last year. One of the women I work with gave me a string with feathers tied at intervals, with a small suction cup at one end. She said to stick it to the outside of the window and they would stop flying into the glass. Loose feathers distress them or something. Anyway, it seemed to work.
Good afternoon (^.^) I'm new; just wanted to say hello...
ty got both 6 and 7 now
hi Nancy Boy
hi nancy!
Hiya Nancy!
hi nancy

me too. man this class is boring
hey brady i'm doing nothing today
Interesting...funny that they wouldn't do it once you took the feathers away
*laughs* what are you in? I'm hiding out in the library and getting enough dirty looks from the librarian as it is ¬.¬
so's anyone ( got my popcorn..anyone want some...?)
It may be a mating season thing. Supposedly they see themselves in the glass and think it's competition for their mate. Who know what really goes on in the minds of birds.
*holds bowl out for fancy poppin corn*
I'm thinking that may be it Rocky, mostly because it's a male and female that are always together
This is ONE hard grid, I'm getting nowhere at all, and it's taking a long time to get there !!

fo is the stuff you put out to kill rats, with adiff. letter at beg
arsenic?
back again
fo7 sounds like killing substance you get from snakes.
9tanks, my first suggestion is to see if your son needs glasses... sometimes a kid can see "well enough" to pass tests and all but their vision is impaired enough that it makes them uncomfortable. When our elder son got glasses, he was much more able to concentrate... also it helps to make sure the kids are able to connect what they are studying with what actually interests them. Especially with boys, I have found.
I finally got the FO6. Was reading too much into the clue. Thanks.
finally i finished the middle n
*stamps feet in tantrum* "y'all" is so a WURD!!!! hmph
I have already got him tested. And he already has hearing aids.
indeed stid - and "foos" is too
then you are twelve steps ahead of most parents, 9tanks! :-) Depending on his age, it could then be normal kid development (girls are ready to "sit" to learn much earlier than boys on average) or just that he doesn't see the purpose in it. He's still fairly young, if I remember correctly, I would ask the teacher(s) what they think.
*sneaks in and tickles Stid*
oops. I have to head out! *jumps* {{{{{ riemann! }}}}}
hmf - sn5/10 is just silly i say
well thanks stidmama, may be some day I'll have nice chat with you... feeling sleepy need to go.
I will be back in about two hours, riemann, are you up for a phone call then?
anyone need clues before I go.
Sure thing. Give me a call.
any time, 9tanks, my email is in my profile too... have a good evening!
okay riemann, see you-all later! *poof*
bye stid

More rum will come

here a rum, there a rum, every where a bum bum.
ok - you're taking a chance nut - things are not any calmer here - but we can do family kung fu at kuk woon's joint
what are you talking about
rum tiddle um tum, Pooh loves a good Hum
:) we know what ye mean percy's mom!
hee, just wanted to make sure!
nonsense, soccer
looks like the tables are being turned though
down the rum down the grog - kiss a nut and get a frog
hey smellies...117 seems doable...getting started!

ask featherhubbee
Hah! Cs conquered!
Fo 6 please
ask who what?!?
wtg jilli, that is the lion's share of the grid
hi everybody
feather humvee?
fo6 rhymes with a p word for toxin
were you making a bad reference nutty? lol, either that or i'm reading too much into that!
hey ya teag
good for you jilli...c words generally stink
hi teague
hey teague
hi feather and ren and kristi
how in the word can there be 2 L words from the far right l swuare...so confused!
p word for toxin please lol
good sonnet, Knight! Will would be proud...
my guess is LL words or something
llike llama
I dare you to name another ll word because that is the only one I can think of too
2 ll's combo
lleopard?
it's a small city in texas
one of the ll words is familiar to those who live in the american SW
like a place in texas plain o texas
yes feather...surely!
ooo, ty ren!
hmm...shoulda studied up on my SW geography I see :)
ren gave a clue, besides it being in texas
ll + m*** y **** a spanish saying meaning hand to hand
ren didja see about the prison riot?
got me first 7 word on my own!
excellente! I can do spanish just fiiine! thanks
yay feather!
no nut - where? in huntsville? let me llook
It just made me think of my intelligent friend.
Fo 6 please better than rhymes with a p word for toxin SORRY BUT IT DIDN'T HELP !! :-/
hahahah - how about the gravy pan? whack!

*drip drip drip*
ty feather sorry night i just couldnt get it

tough word to clue
what fo clue?
the fo clue you just gave me lol
brb - don;t you go changing!
ok, halfway there...gotta finish work stuff I'll be back later
and kristin
changing? charging? i charge by the minute.
*sigh* i was thinking i was cluing a to word for some odd reason, even though i have the correct fo one in my list. i'm tired!
me too lol
anyone have any u's? they are driving me baty
i have two. one is ul4/5, i think it's a bone?
other's latin plural
there are 3 u's - one is a bone, the other is latin plural and the other is a permutation on the bone word
all are ul's
a permutation on the bone word? hmm
ok,,,am working on it thanks
since it is a ul4/5 there is only one answer
ul** bator
oh, an anagram!
yes, sorry anagram is the correct word
you got me with anagram lol
wow, I just discovered the "bulk add" feature at the bottom of lickety's clues. It works great! How long has it been there?
just since last night
since night before last
ah, I don't feel bad then
what a great feature :)
hola como estas
anyone else going to watch the debate?
hi everyone....again....
what debate
muy bien e tu
hey carlee
ugh To please,,,,,I always have a problem with the last 10 words !
which debate would that be?
wb carlee
what debate?
democratic debate with Hi and Edwardsllary obama
who would want to watch that
( am assuming now we talking about the democratic leadership debate?)
to + ***e Lovett the singer
no way!
democratic debate with Hillary obama and edwards
really?
when/where?
sorry stupid cursor moved
ty knight
yes, I am watching on MSNBC
what channel?
starting at 7 to 8:30
it son now?
wow... I'm usually up on such things... (that's alright, wurdygurl, I knew who you meant :)
msnbc for sure and maybe others yes on now
any other channel then msnbc?
check cnn and the other pundit channels
the debacle?
lol ren
hint on the J word please?
wish they'd stream it. It's too nice outside to go back inside near a TV
I don't have msnbc :(
hey ya wurdy!
hasn't been much press about it...
i never have understood why the need to debate within the party
ja = think a way of walking without the u
are we just talking or playingg the game
i like a debacle
well, prior to the nomination, they're all on their own
got it, ty
I like to watch because I am interested in what Hillary, Obama and Edwards have to say and how they differ from each other
many are talking while playing
when's the debacle? i wanna see it. i like all but edwards
both, soccer :)
everyone should have a good debacle
yea.... those the only 3 interesting ones...
its on now nut
channel?
wish Richardson were there too
i had the debacle once but the antibiotics cleared it up
a channel debacle?
good evening everyone
I want a good zinger like the I knew John Kennedy....
is the T word a to or ta?
hi mom
or ti
nut lost the key to our debacle
Hi Wurdygurl
to
msnbc is where I am watching it
to + singer ***e lovett
sheesh, thanks! would have taken me forever to monkey that
don't get msnbc here (I think)
that looks like a former soviet toast to***
hooray for canada
try any news channel jill but any news channel should have it
ok, moving indoors so I can play and listen/watch. Thanks, wurdygurl, for pointing it out!
i have the debacle on
no prob
cnn doesn't :(
how many are there??? i only care about three
ok, my last zero box, the topmost O please?
( why are we cheering for canada? )
looks like at least 6 I only like three too
i care about 1 and he's not in the debacle
oc or on feather?
davey doesn't count ren.
heading for indigestion. watching debacle as we eat/ OUch. The stole Wheel of Fortune!
who do you like ren
if you get CNN, you should get MSNBC, too, at least in the US...
dunnno, no list yet
top one in the grid
because Canada is the GREATEST, carlee -- lol
ah gee - if davy doesn;t count - then pffffft on the debacle!
( l'm canadian too jilli )
pfffffft on this guy...he's going nowhere
ok///looking at the top o...
oc + cross + question + stick
not interesting at all...
biden schmiden the only good he can do is bring interessting points to the forefront, he wont win though
thinking of a clue....
ohh, i kept trying octal, even though they didn't connect
at least I dont think so
ah... change ur a to the sometimes vowel and u have it dear
just checked -- satellite provides msnbc but I don't subscribe. It's not on CNN.
got it carlee, from knight! thanks though!
i wish i could unsubscribe
first co 5,12?
u dont like msnbc
co5/12 = punctuation mark
pl the first co4/5
bbl
join the pirate race and unsucscribe from life as it is known by millions!
don't like edwards, too smooth by far.
i don't like any of the main stream news channels
trial lawyer very smooth
a race of pirates and a barrel of grog.
I hear you knight but I don't mind msnbc I just have to limit my exposure
ok..pluralling my first is not accepted by dr god
and I already have the punctuation mark
i like the local newspapers (i read 3 each day) and the internet web sites - drudge and fark
( I like bbcworld myself)
co 5/12 is an animal
keep rain coat closed - thus no exposure
sorry, carlee, I was looking at cl, not co!
sludge and fart?
ren said a word - add personal pronoun to it for the co 5/12
i used a word.....:(
I like BBC World too, esp Hard Talk
i like the economist magazine - very good news rag
thanks knight
oooh, Richardson's there, yay!
now -- 32 left -- back to the grid
)o: I can't see the debate <whimpering>
go jilli go
where are you, carlee? Or have you already told me?
southern ontario
about 1 hour north of det mi as the crow flies
to me, news is better presented in written word. pretty faces talking is not news, it's entertainment parading as news
long way from here
cl6, 21 ( first one )
here being?
knight, I miss Aaron Brown
yes, but I like seeing the candidates and how they present themselves. I liked Aaron too
add adj ending to cl4/5
yes...i miss him too....I thought he should have taken over for peter jennings
ooooooh, i like this guy
cl6 = add Mr Gore to the cl4/5 before it
where is here jilli and thanks mr gore
wish I could see the debate, but they will probably put highlights on CN
carlee, click on my icon for a profile (that applies to the others too)
wait wait! you don't say you KNEW will shakespeare, jill!!! *evil grin*
hi all...
which guy, nut?
hey stid
hi stid
the old guy who also opposed vietnam, name unknown by nut.
not as well as Hetty did, stid - chuckle
but from cn. he is fiesty
ROFL... true enough! *looks around to see if hetty is in the room*
hi nut, didn't see you yesterday. you okay?
lou dobbs?
yep stidder, just busy.
hi stid - did you see me?
how about now?
last 2 lo4's?
can you hear me now?
I think I saw somwthing about that old guy in Time
now?
he's got spunk, the old guy.
hi ren -- I don't think I did, come to think of it... you and mr ren doing okay? did he have surgery on his shoulder yet?
nope - still waiting on the swelling to go down.....
carleekat, slang for english toilets for the 4 and not tight. Hi all,!
lo + cross + vowel
no, I'm goofy with hunger.. sorry
nope...the ones below those 2..but thanks weegee
lo + cross + vowel
to smooth...not good.
Her Majesty The Great Suze is meowing and patting my leg for 1) attention and 2) food/meds. Brb
later jill
ok jilli me beauty!
guess - i should find my motorbike and zoom zoom zoom
phone brb
helmets!
helmet!
second from last co5,12?
( ow the debate going?)
how*
very interesting, carleekat
mmmm....
they're all there. Brian Williams is asking really good questions... specific to each candidate
richardson was caught off guard...this kucinich guy is funny looking AND arrogant.
I basically think we should pick our public officials the way we select juries. One day you get a notice in the mail and you say shoot I am county commissioner
who is making most "zings"
co 5/12 - done icily
no clear leaders yet in my opinion
kucinich is awesome. I really like him
that 5,16
what is everyone watching???
I'll try again, co 5/12 rhymes with Lone Ranger's Indian companion
democratic debate momo
good clue weegee
what channel
thanx weeg
1 to go
nice!
(eating & typing, faint with hunger)
not a lot of zinging going on... but there's enough for me to say Bill Richardson got the best zing (referring to blow-dried candidatesA)
and Joe Biden just got the biggest laugh
here's that gravel guy....ooooh he's interesting
Sen. Mike Gravel - a candidate I've never even heard of
what channel???
Is the debate on network?
he is from
woohoo sparkling screen
guarantee you will after today vpchat
where does joe biden get a platform to speak now that imus is off the air
or cable?
He is fdrom
msnbc
aalaske
shoot sorru
( he goes on the john daly show )
lol, Gravel is great!
i think i'm changing loyalties
who is speaking now??? the guy with the white hair?
any OTHER channel then msnbc?
this is why I like the debates. I like alaska guy
he's taking a tactic that is going to win him votes, that's for sure!
john daily... you mean jon stewart/daily show? gravel is on? when?
oh..senator somebody
this is great - Williams is doing awesome
i hate hillary...can't help it....she just annoys me.
sorry..yes..john stewart....joe bidden been on there a few times
I like her
no carlee - and they're not streaming it online, either
i am SO torn on hillary
ah, yes - I liked Biden at first
Joe Bidden has also been on Real time with Bill Mahr
I respect her, her husband was the best us president ever, and you can be he went to bed and was asking "what'dyou think?"
he's a smart guy - I like him
momo, Shatner's character on Boston Legal said of Hilary the other night: "...she wins, I puke."
i honestly don't have a real reason wurdy...she just rubs me the wrong way for some reason
lol @ shatner
crapola..now what am I going to do...puzzle done...no debate
alot of people feel that way
I'm liking Richardson. Wish he had half a chance...
i saw it wee...i love boston legal...that cracked me up!!
i think an obama hillary ticket would be so interesting..btu would NEVER happen
I'm not supporting Hillary, but I don't understand the vitriol
richardson talks well, but i wonder how actionable the things are he proposed.
me too momo!
carlee -- maybe there's an msnbc.com?
he knows foreign policy...
evanout - check out his record - he's got a *ton* done for New Mexico
and continues to win there, in a red state
i love shatner...always have...kirk was the hottest!!! lol
my speakers broke..rather....my son broke the speakers :(
anyone know if the audio for the debate is streaming online? I'm at work and can't watch...
who is speaking now?
new mexico yes, but i don't think he understand muslims, and i don't think most devout muslims will ever embrace the us. the way of life is too much against their beliefs.
I love that the candidates are *answering* the questions, even about abortion
obama is speaking now momo
shatner went to McGill in MOntreal and was in a kids' acting class earlier -- his teachers didn't think he had much talent
I'm momentarily sorry I dropped all but basic cable... I lived in NM for years when Richardson was just coming on the scene - seems to be very good guy. Debate isn't on local NPR station, where I'd expect it.
this is going to be an awesome election :O)
Richardson has dealt with Sikhs in NM...
is obama the guy that was considered "clean" or something like that.
one thing for sure, a democrat will win...??? momo???
yes
wish they had the names under them as they spoke
Yeah, Biden said he had "good hygiene" Oy!
don't like this guy
there is nothing "for sure" in american politics, just ask Al Gore
any ideas on roe v wade?
googled... there's a bunch of audio feeds here, and msnbc is listed:
http://world.std.com/~franl/media.html
lol knight!!! No one believed Reagan would win way back then...
hello, anyone needesa ny clues?
3rd column, on my machine...
al gore got more votes than any candidate in history (at that time) and still did not become president
i was sure al gore would lose, but then i didn't like either candidate.
that is the electoral college...
i like obama....am concerned about hsi lact of experience..especially with the current foreign policy mess...at least richardson and hillary ( and mr first husband ) would have experience to clean up the mess
if the dems think they have it in the bag, then they are setting themselves up to be disappointed
finished ffffffffffffff, but thanks
If Gore of now was the gore of then, maybe
they might have been, if gravel wasn't there to stir things up.
I am not a dem or a rep but I want some honest people who dont pussyfoot around
la6 please
the electoral college is a number of repesentatives assigned / state
barak hussein obama
You know what I find funy? For most americans, the rep. are right wing conservatives, and the dems are to the left and more liberal. To the rest of the world, the US has two conservative right wing parties.
each state has "x" number of electoral college votes based upon population and tax bracket
la 6 = la + what you smell with
la6: 'woolly', do you know the naim of the oil they make from sheep wool?
lan+ lact*** intollerant
yep...quite possibly an antiquated system.
ty AGAIN knight
each state gets an electoral vote for each senator and representative in congress
or quite possibly the best.
tax brackey has nothing to do with it
finally someone talking about gun control and VTech in the same sentance
gravity is antiquated, yet it holds the universe together
ah..ok
knight, you paid attention in civics class!
correct knight
Look at: http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/natio nworld/bal-te.attorneys19apr19,0,94678 .story?coll=bal-nationworld-headlines
It is very interesting in teh context of the next US elections
frustrating -- googled msnbc, got to the site, they said they were showing the debate, got a commercial, then they said sorry, no streaming video
bummer jilli
they're talking about va tech now
This topic is of particular interest to me. I have a teenage son who has been in need of mental health since the day that I adopted him'
try again, jilli, I just got in.
he finally had to commit a crime and I had to put him in juvie just to get him help and it is costing ME 620000 per year
maybe it's blocked in canada? Can't imagine why
hello, everyone :)
that's over half a mill wurdy!
talked to several reps in my state and they said no help because people don't want to pay for mental help
is there a way to get the manuscript to this show???
I know! and then every one sees something like VT and says how could this happen
( maybe its blockesd cus we are very bad here and let all the terrorists into the us across us border?????)
the mental illness thing is worrisome...how can you prove you're sane? what if a quirky person is called ill?
everyone wants instant gratification..sometimes we have to pay out immediately for long term goals to be reached
no carlee, it's because so many americans cross the border to buy prescription drugs.....
well, in the case of this vt killer he was pinned early on as troubled and even voluntarily checked himself in to hospital he wrote crzy fiction. he clearly needed help
poor obama was my man before today.
colony
wwhy is he not now evan?
I am not counting him out yet
hello??
can we get a manuscript from this somehow?
i see it as the courts fault wurdy, it was they're responsibility to report their ruling to the agencies.
hi herin
they willhave one tomorrow no doubt on the site
Hi herin! Listening/watching US democrats debate
hi herin
hi
but thats the rub....u cant get it into court unless a crime is commited
what site carlee?
trust me on this at least in MI
carlee...tough to say, doesn't sound like he means what he says...at least kuc (something) believes in what he says.
I dont have that joy here so ill read the chat instead
msnbc
oops, sorry for the mistype, thought I was in the other box
greetings and salutations
CLILFFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Fireworks!!!!!!!!
hey cliffeee
i sounds..."sound bitish"?
I just can't see kucinich and his wife (2 feet taller than he is) standing on the balcony of the White House...
why cant we just have caps on profit for meds paxcil cost 2 bucks to make but sells for a 500% profit
how is everyone?
Ok im off again, polies make me cranky
congrats ysigirl
excellent suggestion wurdy!
no weegee me neither
ok, got msnbc via IE, not firefox
congrats
Im good cliff
( cuz they say they need the $ for the research on the drugs they making now)
hi everyone - fireworks - anyone need a few quick clues before I cook dinner?
pfft
anyone have the j?
legalize drugs, if it can fund the terrorists, it can fund health care.
but this chat is interesting???
yeah, but you know most of that money goes into the CEO's pocket
hmmm...richardson...good reply.
yea..I'm available to clue now too
herin, I sympathize, but we're desperate here... too many years of Shrubs
sn5?
j+picnic pests+sometimes vowel
j & buggy as in picnic pests
ja + not uncle without the u and add sometimes vowel
ty, book and carl
sn + dogs d****
hmm ok - bye
Weegee i second that we have had enough of HOward
sorry dr***
It is very interesting
i need help on the 2nd co 7/32
ugh..howard.... sheesh...don't go there
co goes in car radiator
ah....good obama. tell them they're being petty.
thanks carlee - the qualifier did it :)
yw
I guess I am invisible tonight - have a good night everyone
sorry saphyre
aw saphyre!
oh hey saph....
co 7/32, toilet water/parfum without g
I am highly interested in american politics as it affects aussies
it affects canadians too
great clue carlee
thanks fernallady, and your top gun was here on sept 11 recall.
really it affects everyone because we get involved with everything
Weigh in saphyre
we're just discussing the debate and fallout saph
your 2 cents counts too saph
howdy all :o)
thanks cliff
hi jen
I am just listening to all of you, and enjoying the diversity of opinion
I am liking richardson
richardson is doing well, but gravel is winning.
I'm back . . . with my friends, Ben and Jerry
( any other clues before I pack it in for the night?)
Kucinich quote:"The energy of the stars becomes us. We become the energy of the stars. Stardust and spirit unite, and we begin: One with the universe. Whole and holy. From one source, endless creative energy, bursting forth, kinetic, elemental. We, the earth, air, water, and fire source of nearly 15 billion years of cosmic spiraling"
ok Jen I will hae some too
I think richardson can only move up
I mistyped nut, not 620,000 but 62,000 per year
no 5/14?
Is Kucinich a scientologist???
*passes pint to inge*
he sounds like a nitwit with that quote
more reasonable wurdy, but still steep
depends on what he was talking about
tx jen, delecious
no + what pantyhose used to be made of, lst letters
anogram of ny6/24
ty, weegee!
. . . and carlee
but not plural
oh good question!!!
Pay teachers more!!!
ok.....I am gone...enjoy the babbling...cu all tomorrow...
Evan Mr Howard likes to play cover arse when it matters, yes sep 11 mattered but i think he was talking to bush anyway
Bye carleekat!
which means we pay firemen less
WRONG answer edwards.
( don't pay them more in canada...sheesh....they make a bloody fortune here )
bye carlee
By Car
why nut? you don't think that we should look at alt fuel sourses
you're proably right knight... I work for a local gov't agency and I'm disgusted with the whole budget process
it has nothing to do with need and everything to do with political power
i'm moving to canada
wi7?
that's not the part i didn't like wurdy, i didn't like him writing of the oil company profits as not a concern.
leave the icecream here though
comic + sponge minus last vowel
wi, aspect of being smart + lst bit of a kind of plant/sponge
lol inge
oh, yes, I wont get gas at a mobil station
oil companies used katrina as an excuse to jack up prices and keep them up...if we get hit in the pocket then so should they.
lo6,21 please
I love Australia its our elections this year so its going to be interesting
you only love me for my chocolate . . .
Kucinich is my hero!!! Nice to hear someone talking in an intelligent, thoughtful, spiritual manner instead of just parroting what they think organized religion wants to hear. (regarding the stardust quote)
CHOCOLATE??? where???

Bravo, Bubba
treat as equals, definitely
any hints on the no5 before midday? :)
No started in the office, just got home and needed two to finish. This is really becoming ( or already is) a complusion.
Personally I think Homeland security is a joke. Color coordinated charts...Bush just and formed HS
treat as equals from the party that preaches diversity
hi again... going to work another 20 minutes and then start supper.
you can be diverse and equal
hi stid
careful wurdy, i'm studying for a degree in homeland security...the color chart is a tool.
Homeland sounds too much like Fatherland to me. Too totalitarian
btw... YAY bubba !
ditto, Bubba
hiya stid

the color chart is a secret code for the aliens of area 51... *looks furtively around*
sorry, i thought it was how I was supposed to dress for weather...kidding
by definition diverse means different means not equal
hi cliff! how's the baby cats today?
do not offend my buddy nutty, who works in the HOmeland Security cave
you raise the threat level and you may scare an intended terrorist from acting for fear of being caught...they fear being caught more than death.
still have a sick one (4 sick in past week)
so by that definition is an apple or an orange superior?
It can't me a color code for dressing! I look horrid in orange!!! ; )
oh no cliff, hoping it's not a really bad sick?
that is a question of preference wurdy
love red myself
well kitty -- which orange do you dislike? there are many versions. I rather like a subtle sunset-pink peachy orange.
but still, divirsity is important, people are the commonality the divirsity is then tir heritagehe
no redsd or oranges in lmy wardrobe. If I ever trasnlate that chapter of my life 1945=49 you will know why
I like blood orange myself
not trying to be a pain knight
Hmmm. Doesn't look good on me stid, but it would make a yummy drink
i like orange blood
orange blood? is that healhy?
ewwwww. Mom! nut's being gross again!!!!!!
diversity is important, so is equality. I see them as competing ideals
isnt that her normal state?
how so, really interested
kitty, there is a blood orange =- quite tasty
very tasty
we get rid of our weapons, guarantee they won't get rid of theirs.
well diversity and equallity are not really contrary to each other
i couldn't absorb the lo 6/21 clue given earlier. anyone have a clue for a simpleton?

how 'bout the fo 6/27?
interesting point by obama..
knigth, you are right, depends where you are applying them
they are terms used by politicians to support an agenda
but they don't need to be, knight. I agree, though, that the current political climate treats them as mutually exclusive.
shared international intelligence....is it possible?
any hints on the so5/14?
i'll just be doing the grid and observing. politics and debating are not my forte!
and in my background it immedaitely calls up melting pot and parallel cultures, etc.
Did edwards answer that question or is he pontificating
so 514 to be a father's male offspring
pontificating...told you...too smooth talking.
a poltician pontificate....never!!!!
I know knight it is such an anomoly lol

stid spray some tabasco diluted with water on your trees
kucinich is losing me...he's being to idealistic.
i am unimpressed with obamas speeches, hes supposed to be the oratorical heir to bill clinton?
ty book and bubba --- that's fireworks for me!
lol whimsy, he is stumbling.
a product called liquid fence has worked well for me vs the deer, stid
What's wrong with idealism?
i need to have the manuscript and read it... take notes
he is idealistic, that is why he is important to be included in the debates
WTG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Cyber
congrats. I didn't have the word until the clue so ty.
ok..so..how is the debate going now?
kitty, in an ideal world it's great
They're starting to get testy.
idealism is great. unfortunately, it is unlikely to win the general election in november though
edwards has no moral leader

I prefer Kuscinik
so, we can read this tomorrow ont he site???
Gravel, Hillary and Obama
Hey lbd and Feather!!
I like kuscinik and I know he will stay in till the end
gravel sounded very "uppity...potted plant.
kuscink would get us annexed by china in three years.
hmmm...pretty competitive with others in retail, so Kmart, Target, etc., are also bad. But why is no one bashing them? My sister works for Target. She's not that impressed...
i think we should elect denny crane
denny crane
wee?? what do you think
I liked him
my son-in-law worked for him in his last election, he lives in Ohio
cool, thanks for the suggestion about msnbc.... ii am hearing it now on a different window while reading chat and maybe will get in a word or two.
wurdy...denny crane is on boston legal.
Thanks feather! that is a great feature to know about!
kmart and target aren't the ones who should be setting the examply according to hillary...and i'm in a position to understand things walmart has done to your co workers that you wouldn't hear about.
I know I watch tht show. iwas saying like he does

no momo one gets chosen to run under the dem ticket
they'll pick a hawkish vp like colin powell to squelch concerns about terror/war i'm guessing
the VP does not necessarily come from this gorup
not necessarily, momof3 -- think Dan Quayle
they can select who they want to run on their ticket as the VP it could be one of the others, but it does not have to be
help with the io6 please?
the repub candidate will probably pick someone who's got some cred on education, etc
thought so wurdy

Hi TO
Hi TO
hi TO!
the sign said...i want to teach the child, i don't want to teach the test...
hi owl, how are you doing?
Temple, did you go to Temple University?
enter a message...
hmmmm - sets ya to pondering...
apparently whoever it was, didn't like that the state tests weigh so heavily..the kids suffer from the pressure the teachers are under for good performance of those tests.
teaching to the test is all that happens in the upper grades any more. and by upper, i mean around 3rd and up
i know feather....my son is in 3rd...a lot of pressure.
can't teaching be to both?
brb phone...
i don't know of any teachers who agrees with the emphasis on standardized testing
yes i did , amber. hi dorens
good for you, TO
no time to jilli. when the math test rolls around in march, they have to be prepared. all year leading up to it, they try to do the normal teaching....but there are always gaps, and kids who don't test well, or have moved, or whatever
and actually all year leading up to march the thought of the test is there too.
I did too.
? jili?
well, I'm out of date, oviously, but I went to very exacting schools and was proud of it
and woe to the schools whose special ed kids can't pass the test. (and why are they in special ed in the first place?) it is insanity
Jilli, why would you say that about my icon. I am one of her consitituents. She is my Senator, and maybe one day she will actually come to NY for more then a day.
can someone clue the so 5/10?
that's the hardest part, the kids you know who will have trouble wiht the test no matter how much you try to help them

does anyone have a clue for the no 5,10 after the thing that banging makes, plural of nothing, many times for tea and way to kill people

you can copy your list in babble, past it into the box, and it populates thge list

hi dorens...haven't seen u in a long time!
hey cath!!!
hi ren :)
Hiya servant, rennie.
may i have a clue please for lo6/21? ty!
been kind of busy, and sometimes away from computers, but i'm still around
the box is at the very bottom of Lickety's list. Very handy if you get lots of words without the list, as I did with a biggie the other day -- don't have to copy them in one by one.
hello mistress - grovel grovel
dorens did you have this week off?
owl, lo 6/21 is plural of crazy
maybe we just don't meet up at the same time...i've been busy trying to sell my house!
lo 6/21 plural of crazy
lo6/21 - mad horses plural with a vowel before the snake.
really jilli??? i never noticed that!
To -- lo6/21 is a diff p;ural for the lo4/5
no, a week previouslly owl... but this past weekend i was in cape may for the jazz festival and no computer in sight. (weaniing myself from the addiction from time to time)
I welcome your servitude, rennie.

LOL Jill! "but soft! what green doth in my garden grow? 'tis nought but wi7 without the row!"
i'll have to bring nut with me
i wish- what about mezzie?
io6 and 7 seem too obscure to me... <:)
If Ren's thinking of 'coming', TO, I'll have to kill her, since my O/H is snoring. LOL.
alas, dear Jacula, Jill falls in the category now of gardener appreciator (appreciatrix?) and lets folks like me do the hard work!
io+ nada, zilch, nil then plural cathy
not really, jac -- brought up in apartment houses and never gardened until only 60 years ago -- big LOL
he's not moveable yet
Cathy: small particle (io4, first three letters) + singular number
i found all the words
then plural of course for the IO7
io6 & 7 aren't hard to find. io = short word for nothing. Then add the usual plural ending.

Duh! Thanks stid.
2nd cl5/12 is an exact copy of another living thing. Dolly the Sheep was the first living example.

any clues
heh heh, pirate queen, always a pleasure to supply such things...
I found that I got better at all kinds of things when I started babbling. For one thing, my vocabulary now uses words of more than two syllables...

I really should start this earlier lol...hello all
Cathy: what you put in your car radioator...
or radiator even!
hip picnic pest
actuaaly am getting better at spelling and my vocabulary too
LOL speaking of old hippies... that's a good clue Jill!
ahhh...of course....ty stid
I used to love that tale of Romeo and his Juliet until I analysed it in my later years (not through any college course, just through personal interest.) In my teens, when I studied the play for my 'O' level, I wept over it. In my later years, I just thought what teenaged idiots they were.
hello demmie! you went pro too! *happy dance*
co 7/32 is the monetary unit of El Salvador
hey demmie
Ah. So sad!
I mean I am ( sorry, bad typer)
yes I did yesterday :)
hi demmie!
two co 6's then the rest are co5's and co4's
yep, my typing is improving, too. partly because I like to chat as much as I like to find words.
hello demmie! You were first to flip this grid, right?
dire straits song - romeo...:)
me too, stid
hi Teague!

oh, right, it's the sn I need -- jac gave a clue but I can't remember it
jilli - how about fl4/8 - bird congregation minus the 'k'?
co 6/21: plural the end of the intestine and the intestine + vowel
still not sure what flip means but it was fun!
ta stid but I'm past the Ls

Jill, then you need to attend sn*** the place you got your education for the last three letters
are we flipping out again?
working alphabetically and have arrived at the S lot
may I please have a clue for wa/5? Thank you!!
oh -- there are a whole lot of SO that remind me of the nightshade family...
WA 5: "pale" word (three letters) + adverb ending
that sn word is not in my usual vocabulary, ugh
ahh...got the plural intestine one...ty stid
go Jill go!
when i go to sleep at my desk - i sn***
the other co6/21 is after the smooth talker co4/5

there is a three-letter WA word we use to mean "pale" it is the first three letters of the word that is often used to indicate a yearning. you may not need chocolate, but you wa** it anyway

Printable Version 2. Download PDF 3. Ask a Question Capulet's Garden. [Enter Romeo.] Romeo. He jests at scars that never felt a wound.-- [Juliet appears above at a window.] But soft! what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun!-- Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious; Her vestal livery is but sick and green, And none but fools do wear it; cast it off.-- It is my lady; O, it is my love! O, that she knew she were!-- She speaks, yet she says nothing: what of that? Her eye discourses, I will answer it.-- I am too bold, 'tis not to me she speaks: Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven, Having some business, do entreat her eyes To twinkle in their spheres till they return. What if her eyes were there, they in her head? The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars, As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven Would through the airy region stream so bright That birds would sing and think it were not night.-- See how she leans her cheek upon her hand! O that I were a glove upon that hand, That I might touch that cheek! Juliet. Ah me! Romeo. She speaks:-- O, speak again, bright angel! for thou art As glorious to this night, being o'er my head, As is a winged messenger of heaven Unto the white-upturned wondering eyes Of mortals that fall back to gaze on him When he bestrides the lazy-pacing clouds And sails upon the bosom of the air. Juliet. O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo Deny thy father and refuse thy name; Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I'll no longer be a Capulet. Romeo. [Aside.] Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this? Juliet. 'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;-- Thou art thyself, though not a Montague. What's Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot, Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part Belonging to a man. O, be some other name! What's in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet; So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd, Retain that dear perfection which he owes Without that title:--Romeo, doff thy name; And for that name, which is no part of thee, Take all myself. Romeo. I take thee at thy word: Call me but love, and I'll be new baptiz'd; Henceforth I never will be Romeo. Juliet. What man art thou that, thus bescreen'd in night, So stumblest on my counsel? Romeo. By a name I know not how to tell thee who I am: My name, dear saint, is hateful to myself, Because it is an enemy to thee. Had I it written, I would tear the word. Juliet. My ears have yet not drunk a hundred words Of that tongue's utterance, yet I know the sound; Art thou not Romeo, and a Montague? Romeo. Neither, fair saint, if either thee dislike. Juliet. How cam'st thou hither, tell me, and wherefore? The orchard walls are high and hard to climb; And the place death, considering who thou art, If any of my kinsmen find thee here. Romeo. With love's light wings did I o'erperch these walls; For stony limits cannot hold love out: And what love can do, that dares love attempt; Therefore thy kinsmen are no let to me. Juliet. If they do see thee, they will murder thee. Romeo. Alack, there lies more peril in thine eye Than twenty of their swords: look thou but sweet, And I am proof against their enmity. Juliet. I would not for the world they saw thee here. Romeo. I have night's cloak to hide me from their sight; And, but thou love me, let them find me here. My life were better ended by their hate Than death prorogued, wanting of thy love. Juliet. By whose direction found'st thou out this place? Romeo. By love, that first did prompt me to enquire; He lent me counsel, and I lent him eyes. I am no pilot; yet, wert thou as far As that vast shore wash'd with the furthest sea, I would adventure for such merchandise. Juliet. Thou knowest the mask of night is on my face; Else would a maiden blush bepaint my cheek For that which thou hast heard me speak to-night. Fain would I dwell on form, fain, fain deny What I have spoke; but farewell compliment! Dost thou love me, I know thou wilt say Ay; And I will take thy word: yet, if thou swear'st, Thou mayst prove false; at lovers' perjuries, They say Jove laughs. O gentle Romeo, If thou dost love, pronounce it faithfully: Or if thou thinkest I am too quickly won, I'll frown, and be perverse, and say thee nay, So thou wilt woo: but else, not for the world. In truth, fair Montague, I am too fond; And therefore thou mayst think my 'haviour light: But trust me, gentleman, I'll prove more true Than those that have more cunning to be strange. I should have been more strange, I must confess, But that thou overheard'st, ere I was 'ware, My true-love passion: therefore pardon me; And not impute this yielding to light love, Which the dark night hath so discovered. Romeo. Lady, by yonder blessed moon I swear, That tips with silver all these fruit-tree tops,-- Juliet. O, swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon, That monthly changes in her circled orb, Lest that thy love prove likewise variable. Romeo. What shall I swear by? Juliet. Do not swear at all; Or if thou wilt, swear by thy gracious self, Which is the god of my idolatry, And I'll believe thee. Romeo. If my heart's dear love,-- Juliet. Well, do not swear: although I joy in thee, I have no joy of this contract to-night; It is too rash, too unadvis'd, too sudden; Too like the lightning, which doth cease to be Ere one can say It lightens. Sweet, good night! This bud of love, by summer's ripening breath, May prove a beauteous flower when next we meet. Good night, good night! as sweet repose and rest Come to thy heart as that within my breast! Romeo. O, wilt thou leave me so unsatisfied? Juliet. What satisfaction canst thou have to-night? Romeo. The exchange of thy love's faithful vow for mine. Juliet. I gave thee mine before thou didst request it; And yet I would it were to give again. Romeo. Would'st thou withdraw it? for what purpose, love? Juliet. But to be frank and give it thee again. And yet I wish but for the thing I have; My bounty is as boundless as the sea, My love as deep; the more I give to thee, The more I have, for both are infinite. I hear some noise within: dear love, adieu!-- [Nurse calls within.] Anon, good nurse!--Sweet Montague, be true. Stay but a little, I will come again. [Exit.] Romeo. O blessed, blessed night! I am afeard, Being in night, all this is but a dream, Too flattering-sweet to be substantial. [Enter Juliet above.] Juliet. Three words, dear Romeo, and good night indeed. If that thy bent of love be honourable, Thy purpose marriage, send me word to-morrow, By one that I'll procure to come to thee, Where and what time thou wilt perform the rite; And all my fortunes at thy foot I'll lay And follow thee, my lord, throughout the world. Nurse. [Within.] Madam! Juliet. I come anon.-- But if thou meanest not well, I do beseech thee,-- Nurse. [Within.] Madam! Juliet. By-and-by I come:-- To cease thy suit and leave me to my grief: To-morrow will I send. Romeo. So thrive my soul,-- Juliet. A thousand times good night! [Exit.] Romeo. A thousand times the worse, to want thy light!-- Love goes toward love as schoolboys from their books; But love from love, towards school with heavy looks. [Retirong slowly.] [Re-enter Juliet, above.] Juliet. Hist! Romeo, hist!--O for a falconer's voice To lure this tassel-gentle back again! Bondage is hoarse and may not speak aloud; Else would I tear the cave where Echo lies, And make her airy tongue more hoarse than mine With repetition of my Romeo's name. Romeo. It is my soul that calls upon my name: How silver-sweet sound lovers' tongues by night, Like softest music to attending ears! Juliet. Romeo! Romeo. My dear? Juliet. At what o'clock to-morrow Shall I send to thee? Romeo. At the hour of nine. Juliet. I will not fail: 'tis twenty years till then. I have forgot why I did call thee back. Romeo. Let me stand here till thou remember it. Juliet. I shall forget, to have thee still stand there, Remembering how I love thy company. Romeo. And I'll still stay, to have thee still forget, Forgetting any other home but this. Juliet. 'Tis almost morning; I would have thee gone: And yet no farther than a wanton's bird; That lets it hop a little from her hand, Like a poor prisoner in his twisted gyves, And with a silk thread plucks it back again, So loving-jealous of his liberty. Romeo. I would I were thy bird. Juliet. Sweet, so would I: Yet I should kill thee with much cherishing. Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow That I shall say good night till it be morrow. [Exit.] Romeo. Sleep dwell upon thine eyes, peace in thy breast!-- Would I were sleep and peace, so sweet to rest! Hence will I to my ghostly father's cell, His help to crave and my dear hap to tell. To be honest, it doesn't sound that different to a conversation that may be heard between teenagers now. Nothing really changes that much when it comes down to basics.

niters little poo
Many years ago--when I was all of fifteen(1944)--I auditioned for Peter Brook at the Stratford memorial Theatre. He wanted a teenaged Juliet and my teachers sent me there to try. Didn't get the part, of course, someone named Daphne Slater did, and she was same age, but marvellously right for the part. I'll remember those lines all my life.
I thought the Shakespeare quote was because of the fi4 - it's a Shakespearean word.

hetty....do you direct?
she can have the barrel hoop
thx Ren and Hetty!
Not any more, pike, but many many times in the past
sorry to just kind of intrude on your guys' chat here..but, was just wondering...about, well, about how a person starts doing something like that
(*/ yw muse
OH! .... you know, I lost my voice, and it's been a few years now, and...well, have been thinking about directing, perhaps...but, don't really know how to start....that is why I asked.
Before you can think of directing a play, you hav eto know every aspect of theatre and playwriting
Thank you for my so clues.I finished my so words now
ouch piker! how did you lo** yousr voice?
well...I was kind of thinking about opera...I have been a professional singer for quite a long time...
I used to direct but what I really wanted to be was a waiter.
just kidding... old joke
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! that was funny, prosm
in your case, pike, of opera--f you have on eyou really love think of how you would make it come to life on a stage and take it from there
prismmgc, I meant to say..
You can call me Prism. I'm fine with that
just find a company who believes in you enough to let you give it a try
I have helped a number times on productions; and I do think I kind of have an ability for stage direction...do you, did you...just kind of start doing it?
okay...that is what I was wondering...thanks, I think I may try that route.
and Prism, thanks for letting me off the hook like that.
I can't remember a time in theatre when I wasn't either directing or acting or singing--but I must have spent time as audience too
I'm stopping at 105 words. Thanks for all of your help
theater is pretty great. what an education!
Goodnight to my fellow babblers!I'll see you tomorrow
and fellow actor/singers always encouraged me to direct so I did
ok min - see you this weekend!!!!
nite Min!
then as a teacher I found great joy in directing high school students
that is wonderful. Directing is so interesting...and, too, you know, when you are doing a role, you do have to kind of see things that way, oneself!
I find acting/singing more rewardig, in tht yoiu hqave instant recognition in a role, whereas as a director you frequently take flak--if a play bombs the director always gets the blame
ok you wonderful peeps (to steal an owlism)...surf is lulling me to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...i'm directing my head to a pillow..hope it's a flop...(*/
that is true. But, too, when I have sung a role, oh, say, like, 117 times, I did, at times feel like a circus performer....
Good night everyone, promised myself I would try to go to sleep earlier than usual.....and thanks again for the clues
but face to face with an audience brings immediate joy
Hi Ren! sorry....I'll shut up.
nite Rennie
no - i'm going to sleep see you all tomorrow

keep talking to hetty! i ahve a business to run and need my brain slerep.
nite muse

fo 6 plz
and I have to sleep too now, so we'll resume another time, pike
no, no...I'm sorry. Was hogging up so much space here, and it's crunch time for getting the last few words for lots of folks...
so 6/18 is so 5/10 + the circle vowel at the end of it.
bleu, take the so5 that has a stick followed by an indefnite article (before a vowel) and add the hoop,or ring, or circle
Good night, sweet princes. and fklghts of angels wing thee to thy rest
fo6/27 rhymes with a toxic substance use by maatahari
huh?
matahari was an assasin
