flip
flip... I stalled out!
good morning 9tanks! :-)
flip for the 3rd time!
I fipping lagged!!!
well Jill -- your dour predictions did NOT turn out! *determined to create an optimist of Jillibus*
thx sitdmama... how are you doing
In darts they say 169 is a non finish but this is babble
I live in hope, stid, and this is about what I hoped for :D
I am tired 9tanks! LOL 10 pm here... but I am determined to eat some chocolate before I go to sleep. :-)
flosey was first again -- yay flosey!
good stidmama
again a lots of C.
fide
oops
oh! is you icon you and your son? he has a sweet face!
Greetings and flippings!
thanx stidmama,
hello hugs! the Ni 5 I just found looks like a relative of your icon!
9tanks -- did you ever play French cricket?
Jill -- I read the description you posted of that game. If we are able to pop up this summer for a day or two can you teach it to us?
well, the flip has not resolved my problem!
no stidmama...But I do play Cricket.
stid -- there's not much to teach, but I don't have a cricket bat or a tennis raquet!
night all
we can bring them :-)
sweet dreams demmie, see you tomorrow!
Night demmie
what's your problem Steph?
9tanks -- I was the one who asked you about French cricket -- it was a fun game we Brit kids played even in China where I was
*blows out the candle*
OK, stid, bring 'em on!!!
night, demmie!
oops sorry jilli .. still did not have my coffee
lol 9tanks!
okay Jill, will have to see how things pan out. Seems our universe is in flux again. *sigh* but I am optimistic that things will turn out okay anyway.
okay Jill, I am at 33 words. how 'bout you?
33 left or 33 done?
5 words, stid, lol! Wassup with your universe?
oh I WISH it were 33 left! LOL
prism when i try and enter a word a red bar in the chat say Word could not be entered. Please try again in a minute
I've had that problem & have had to restart to fix it
I've had that happen too but it's ok again in a minute or so
oh, just "stuff" seems life events are threatening to occur again in both my family and Tom's and they have a habit of making swiss out of any cheese we plan...
did that prism, have done all sorts!
sometimes you just have to refresh
oh steph that is so frustrating. I think it's because there are so many people who show up right at the flip and try to be first to finish.
once or twice it has let me put in a word but then stopped again
when I was at my moms I had that same problem. She uses windows. I have a mac and only have that problem after my hubby plays a game on yahoo.
maybe stid but it has been doing it all night
that's no good steph. *sympathetic hug* Tom is about to get some chocolate, want some?
this is windows so is my comp at home, hopefully it will be okay later
how many words today?
guess I'd better try for an iconable word...
169
169+*
yes please choc helps everything
thx
I just read that dark chocolate will help to lower blood pressure - sure would be better than taking pills !!
*hands out chocolate to all*

lots of strange words today, and not just because of the YL combo.
night Une
nite une
at least we have a disney dwarf today
yl combo?
the combination of an Y and an L to make chemical words, not a word starting with YL :D
at the end of several words, nan
oh -- ok
hi all
hi Okcy
well, that was stupid. Let me try again: hi Ocky
That's OK sprite. good grid today?
calling it a night -- see you tomorrow :)
Is it too early to ask for a clue for the ly8?
night cybernan!
Ocky, it is a weird grid, a very high rate of strange words. But it has its rewards!
I like a good vocabulary workout
pigeonman: LY + vowel + greek ending that means loving something, being attracted to it
herin are you there?
?
got the ly8, thanks!
yw :)
thanks for the ly sprite -- just got back from a cuddle break with Cat
cuddle breaks with cats are very important! :)
yes -- we both think so :)
but I think the cat sees it differently... it thinks you are having a babblebreak from cuddling now.
defcon's not a word . . . bummr
*bummer
well, yes, I guess so -- but she's gone to her bed now
setting a great example, LOL
fiend
nah, was just joking, jilli, I am really not your enemy ;)
no, she's not!
tx jillibus!
I didn't mean that, gaaa
I love the sh 5/14 word
thanks Dee, you just saved my monkey
Ha! Just got 5/14 already
sh5/14, I mean
LOL good
Ntgt all up in 4hrs have FUN babbleing good luck
night diem, make the most of those 4 hrs then :)
anyone else's monkey going bananas already? I am having trouble with this grid...
ditto here
still early for me. I'll go bananas later
*saves some bananas for Ocky*
thanks, fellow primates!
we primates have to help eachother, especially with today's grid! But, having the sea mammal, the egypt mythical animal and the disney dwarf in one grid makes up for lots of unwords :)
Oops. I gotta go. Amazingly, the plumber has turned up at a quarter to five on a Friday afternoon. Never thought it possible. Bye all. Happy babbling
bye ocky
wow Ocky
bye ocky
thanks for those goodies, sprite!
aren't they great!
this grid sucks.
man! my eyes were going so goofy I missed the money word...
hi Amiku, yes, it is a tough one
hi amiku -- and if sprite says it's tough, it's TOUGH!
Hey Jilli, Hey Sprite.
I am really impressed by drB, having finished this one so fast!
O_O
Freak. :(
me 2, but notice dr didn't chat much tonight...
ok, 10 to go, I give in. Lickety to the rescueeeeeee!
hahaha
wow sprite fantastic!!! still have 27 to go here
many today, anyway?
10 to go!!! I have 121 to go!
po 6 and 7
sprite -- do you know about lIckety's new bulk add?
pols
when will I learn?
yes, you told me about it. But I never fill in Lickety's page. If I use the great man, it is to look up 2nd letters and peeking where my missing ones should fit in, lol.
haha
Certainly not yet :P
Sprite: how many today?
169, Amiku. And at least 9 are normal words.
169 amiku
Ahh
Well... I have 13.
Whoooo
woot!
hi babblers
argh, this no6 is stumping me. Hi ann!
hi annother
hello annot
hi sprite, hi jilli, hi lore
want a clue sprite?
node
Eating my pride: yes please Dee, I would love a clue, it is driving me nuts!
Nice, Jilli.
sorry again
sorry again
the no5,14 is becoming a 'must have' word in the grids recently
jilli, it is the site, it is not you. :)
hiccup time, I know!
true ann, someone raised it to babblet status earlier
We love you anyway, Jilli <3
it's been in every one of the grids I've done recently
hiccup for me
no 6/27 clue.... opposite of aye is n** (but change vowel to 1st vowel) + athletes drink Gator ***
wow I've grayed out a box yippee!! ok so it's only the N on the bottom row and it's only one word but for this grid I feel that's a pretty good achievement
Dee, can't see how changing to 1st vowel will give me a no6 :( And the darn site froze on me again.
spite, the site freezing is an an***ance; then the athletic drink gator***
sprite - no6 - first half rhymes with opp of girl last half is the
try again - last half is the Gator ***.
yay, that did it, thanks you both :)
sorry I got bumped into cyber space all.... I couldn't get back in
same here, Dee. I keep getting server time outs from this site lately
yw... sorry I wasn't answering you... I wasn't here LOL
not sure what is up...only started this week
what happened? babble wouldn't load...
you know the worst thing from that freezing is, the site doesn't register the words I have typed in before I realised it had frozen. So now I am looking for words I have already found and my brain refuses to see them again :(
got knocked out and then wouldn't load
here, too sprite
yup, same here
so I'm not the on** one
part of my prob may be because I am on SLOW dial up
has anyone informed drG already?
noy I
& I usually have lickety's box and more words open with babble... maybe new bulk feature is too much for my puter...
Oh, too sleepy -- not I, I meant
I am on DSL, but there might be too many hops between the servers, I don't know. Still, it is a new problem, never had it before.
not I either
good to know it is new
well, I won't report it, he doesn't believe me anyway. We will see.
you report it & I will back you up LOL
lol Dee!
this time I lost all of my words I had on Lickety's list, so ty ty ty for the bulk ad
nah, being called a liar once was enough for me, I will wait until the problem is either solved or we get used to it :)
easy as pie to fix
wow Dee, that is great! Lickety is the best.
who called you a liar?
and why?
yeah & why?
Hey Volley - Cool!
drG, after the new setup of the site, when I wrote to him that most of the chatters entered grid words in the chat because of the new layout. He told me that was a lie, it was less than one percent of the people playing babble that put words in the chat.
It was truly amazing, & I love you Lickety
And guess what I've done it! I've worked out how to do my reverse thing! YAY! Wow - this is cool.
Lickety, *hugs* to you and mrP :)
LOL well, apparently hasn't watched the chat sprite LOL
hugs back to you sprite!
whee, Lickety!! So how does it work?
definitely XXXX & OOOOO
hi all, back for a short visit
welcome back
yeah, I heard from others that he took them seriously about it, so it must be personal. My punishment for being a strong supporter of this site for so long, perhaps ;)
jilibus - gotta go, but will let you all know later. bfn.
bfn
bye Lickety
bye Lickety -- I'm too sleepy to take it n anyway
folks are goofy sometimes sprite.... see it almost every day at work... you want to look at them and say, "Are you absolutely crazy?"
only sometimes, Volley?
LOL.... I work at a church part time, so I will say.... tee hee... only sometimes....
very tactful
nevertheless, we love you sprite
ah well, I confess it hurt. Has put me off giving any more feedback at all, since I truly did not deserve being called a liar. I decided I play this game for fun and don't have to put up with that kind of goofiness :)
Hey, this tool by lickety is pretty nice.
absolutely dear sprite, and we all love you... especially for all of your clues, help, and encouragement
and I love you guys right back, Dee :) This is a great community and I treasure being a part of it.
sure is Heri
yay Heri, isn't our Lickety wonderful
so true
good evening all.
maybe drG accidentally typed "liar' into the chatbox instead of the word box ;-)
hey knut :)
Now I see what y'all have been talking about, with these cryptic 'fe6,33' type statements :)
LOLLLL Ocky!
May I please vote that if a word has a silent letter and you can spell the word without the silent letter in the grid, it should count?
phantom: splotch and splotchy
LOL good idea knut
I am totally with you, knut ;) Heri, glad you found out! But I hope you felt free to ask as well, because someone would willingly have explained.
like janty instead of jaunty?
but that did count.
but it won't take sploch
I feel really dumb tonight... so many of these words are brand new to me
hey everyone
hello hk!
hi helen
oh dear, one of those klingon grids, then?
same here, Dee, like the SL for instance. Argh.
hey helen!
i'm just stopping in to see how large the grid is - doesn't look too bad, but then again neither did yesterdays & it was killer
that was SL5/16
hi back at ya'll :)
helen, lots of unwords, but also some wonderful finds!
okay.... help with the ya word please
tx sprite
Sprite: well, I'm on my third grid now and I'm starting to recognize the regular crowd, so I guess I'm more comfortable now.
oops never mind accidentally found it
Plus, you know, I've been afraid of typing over here for fear of accidentally putting puzzle words in this box by mistake.
that's great, Heri, you are welcome to the madness :) Don't worry too much about those accidental words, it happens to all of us and all we can do is try to avoid it. We have a lovely naughty corner with chocolate and all for the offenders ;)
hi all back again - got so much housework done with the site going off
haha heri!
Dee, I saw your question, am thinking of a way to clue it
and (secretly) sometimes it's a great help
just found it by accident
how many times have I done it just tonight/today?
ah, got it. Y + not young but ***, change vowel.
have 7 more to go
6
one more P4 and I will see sparkles... and I must run off to pt but I want the last one first....
thanks sprite
oh, another request we should put up to a vote: there should be a 2 grid limit on frequently used started letters having 20 or more words. (Re, C, etc) *glares at the C*
I've got 86 left to find and running out of words to try
Heri, the other thing we do is type chat into the Add Word box
thanx sprite. I'm going again. Goodnight all
bye Ocky. Ok, sparkles here. Ann, I guess it is time for you to start on trying the unwords then ;)
wtg sprite
wd sprite !!! yay !!!
and now I must run, sorry!
I'm sure I've tried every combination possible of all the letters in the grid
congrats, sprite!
WHOOPEEEE Sprite!!!

night helen
night helen
Good morning/evening all.
hi Haz
I see that c letter is here again - cold chills....
a lot of c's to find
a hard grid today
morning haz
We've had enough practice this week with c! Hello ren.
hi all, clue for the ly8 plz
Hello oggy.
finished the c's phew!!
ly8 - ly plus the ending of a book-lovers word - or the ending of one who is passionately interested in anything.
ly, a vowel, beginnings of Duke Of Edinburgh's name, but end in a vowel.
Ouch... there was no room in my vocabulary for that word but it's been wedged in there anyway.
Morning all. Super clue for the eight Hax.
Oops Haz.
thanks Haz nice clue
thanks haz great clue
You're welcome. The dictionary gives it as pertaining to freeze-drying; I was imagining something much more cultural!
What is it with the C words this week?
I know - they just keep coming.
getting absolutely nowhere with the e words today
been bathing son, hello to all that have just come in, chores are calling so be back in a while, bye
Bye ren, see you later.
ei7,36 has me stumped
Morewords is useful! Begin like the downy duck, end like the habitual drinker (ei7)
just found the ei
was just wondering how to clue it - nice clue Haz
Now to see what it means!
this grid is full of words I've never heard of!!
Whew, thanks Haz.
No meaning given in dictionary, google not yielding much either.
I'm guessing it must be related in meaning to the very similar -on word.
I was trying to remember -that word has appeared in the grid not that long ago.
ei7/36 ei very another name for a object of worship
++++ plus ic
another clue for ei7/36 e + something you worship + intensive care.
getting very tired tea break bbl
Bye loredana.
This is one of those grids where you have to creep up behind the words to capture them - one false letter and you're sunk.
it's a very frustrating grid
I keep walking away and doing a little housework
but I'm a glutton for punishment and keep coming back for more
Fresh eyes do help sometimes. There's method in your madness.
not really helping though - more a case of making up another word and seeing if it works
I've been surprised by some of the words that work! BUt not folic for some reason.
I was surprised that didn't work - there is folic acid after all
That's what I was banking on.
postman's finally been so can go out - 29 left to find for later
have fun
See you later, annotherone.
housework done, so back for ½hr or so
Back to the grindstone.
I'm going to take a quick break - back later to find the last 46 words. The list is about to be hit!
bye Haz might see you later
I am going to go and see if this is any easy later, bye
hello all! any clues for the ly 8 please?
Been sooooooo busy. Have half an hour and the 8 letter has jumped out at me so I'll give it a go!
Con - to loose, dissolve, set free
ty alleyn... I'll look!
is it a normal word?
Not in daily use! Try ending it with ped......./molester of children
not getting the letters in the right order :(
After beginning go across for one and then drop down and to the right
Hi folks. I will be in and out taking breaks from packing and cleaning. Might be my last chance to be on here for a bit, we'll see... tomorrow, packing and cleaning. Sunday same.Monday is Queen's Day, Tuesday is the day befor ewe move, Wednsday we move. Our cable company is notorious for messing things up so we don't know for sure we'll have connection rigt awy at the new place.
to give sort of king of the jungle?
Can anyone tip me toward the ya word? Seems I have tried every meaningless combination possible.
sorry alleyn, just not getting it. In a bit of a rush today and brain wont plod nicely. Rather it's panic stricken... and therefore not much good
hi everyone!
hi sparly
sparkly
Monkey ya4/7 no hair with a diff first letter
ly8 - ly + vowel + **** (man's name e.g **** collins) + vowel
I give rubbish clues! lol
Thanks, Frances!
You're welcome Monkey
What about the two sp6's?
yay ty alleyn and sparkly! that did it...
sp6/21 sp + loaned
Thanks!
sp6/39 found in Egypt
Monkey Games - Good luck with all of that. We are struggling with just having new kitchen doors fitted!
Working on Egypt clue.
Thanks, Alleyn. Packing takes so much time with a two-year-old helping...
Near the pyramids Monkey
thanks for the egypt one Frances!
Oh, duh! Thank you!!!!!
At least I don't have one of those but husband lurking to check what I am chucking out of the cupboards. Nearly as tricky
ty frances!
You're welcome
Sent mine off to work.
OK, last clue request before getting Walter off for his nap... the sl5 that is not an incline is taunting me.
probably a silly question but what do things like sp6/38 mean? Starts with sp/6 letters? But what's the 38? Thx anyone ;)
The score
ah ok! thx :)
And sorry didn't read full question. sp/6 means six letters totally 38 points
A four letter word gets points according to tile values. A five letter word gets the points, but they are doubled, six letter trebled etc.
And good morning again, by the way.
Much more patient exclamation! Only done 39 in half an hour!
sl5/16 s + l*** Grossman (American cook from Boston I think)
"a system of manual training based on experience gained in woodworking, originally developed in Sweden." Yikes! Don't think I'm going to finishthis with words likethat!
Thank you! What a weird word. OK, off to send toddlers to sleep and grab myself some lunch (over which I will Babble) and tehn get back to work, work, work!
Bye Monkey
OK,back! He'snot asleepyet but he was happy enough to get into bed with only one rendition of Iko Iko (God forbid I should try to sing anything else right now...) so he must be tired. He's reading a kitty book to his owl.
good morning everyone
Good morning.
Hi there!
po7?
po7 is the plural of po6/27 - structured as with Anne, one of Henry VIII's wives.
OK, working on it (don't have teh 6). Thanks for the clue!
Or follow the pl4/5 with Scots one, minus the vowel.
Know which Anne you probably mean, by the way.
po6/27 a piece for the knee, made of plate or leather. Also called knee cop.
Thanks, Frances. Had just got it from the Tudor clue, though.
clue for n on bottom row please?
also the o?
Good morning, everyone. Thank you for an excellent clue on the po/ , Haz.
no5/14 - chemical looking, has appeared frequently recently.
Akkkk, no wonder my brain is mud! I have forgotten toturn off the Winnie the Pooh movie I have had to listen to as background at least twice a day for a week. I will put on music. What's the other po6 like?
Hi Scarlet!
Good morning, MonkeyGames!
Good morning Scarlet. This is another challenge of a grid.
I can see that it is a very good one, Haz.
I don't have the other po6 yet.
OK!
Monkey po6/21 sounds like something floating on water minus an O
OK! Working on it...
Floating platform
Great clue (second one not required, but thank you).
You're welcome Monkey
Thank you for a good clue, Frances. Good morning.
I'm already seeing the benefits of turning off Tigger's Adventure or whatever it would be called in English (It's in Dutch).
Hi Scarlet. You are welcome.
good morning all - looks like quite a challenge today!!
Bit of a struggle granny. Good morning.
Good morning, grannymaxx. It is!
Good morning grannymaxx. It is - some words are elusive, but they can't hide for ever.
G'd morning Babblers!
Hi Lori
Good morning Lori!
Good morning, LoriP.
Is todays grid our punishment for the last 2 days of feel good grids?
well hopefully you guys will be around long enough to "clue" me later !! :)
hi lorip
You felt good about having to find 300 c words, Lori?
The c words were voluminous, but I didn't find them to be very obscure. ***officially toying with the Babble gods***
hi kris
Right, time for me to do other things. I'll look in later. Bye for now.
Bye! Thanks for all the help!
So long for now, Haz. I will "talk" to you about something later.
Later HAz
Bye Haz
Okay, Scarlet. See you later!
Bye Haz. Hello everyone else

Hi Nono
at least not consciously
thanx eva
Keep digging that hole Eva - LOL
almost to china now frances
What a studious group! I got here 1/2 an hour ago, and little chat, everybody deep in thought...
This requires some hard-aimed attention, Lori... LOL
Yup. Might be my last chance on here for a bit. Can anyone clue the al6?
Monkey al6/21 sounds like Mr Gores playthings LOL
thanks frances
It's a plural. al + girls play with ***ls for 5, then plural
Looking...
LOL, love that Frances
I try Lori
Ah, like the Tourette's Syndrome medication without th efirst letter!
Thanks, both of you!
My pleasure Monkey
I've definitely encountered some weird words. That, or not enough coffee. Or both.
Stuck for a cl4. Not the noise a horse's foot makes, not involved in something being overly sweet, not a chunk of dirt. What do I need?
cl4/5 short version of dolly the sheep
Ah, that one turns up a LOT and I always forget about it! Thanks!
Boy, the co's got a lot easier when I noticed the other co just now...
I'm really stuck for the sh5. Any hints on that? If I can actually hit 100 words I will consider that respectable enough to go pack another few boxes.
sh5/14 to move slowly
I'm back. It means to carry in yiddish
That too
wb Alleyn
Oh, what fun! Thought that had a c in it. Thanks!
TY Frances. Hi Alleyn
OK, that's 100 words. I'll be back after a few boxes to pester you good folks some more. Anyone in the Haarlem area needing two bed bottoms and a poffertjes pan?
What a wonderful word, MonkeyGames... poffertjes... what does it mean?
Little US-silver-dollar-sized puffy pancakes. SErved with any number of toppings, my favorite being advokaat and whipped cream.
I am sooooooooo hungry
Oh! Sounds lovely. Does it have designs on the face to texturize the pancakes?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poffertje s
i see c's again....
I'm NOT impressed
Nope, the pans are just full of little wells for the dough. After they puff up you flip them over.
Lots of them carleekat
Oh, and they're made with buckwheat flour.
Thank you, Monkey! Hi, carleekat. We have been in a "C" of words lately! LOL
Hi Carlee
Oh, even better, Monkey. Must find out more!
Most of the c words are actually pretty straightforward this time. Now I really am out of here for a bit.
oh no..she's already started....< I NEED COFFEE!!!!!!!>
hi all....how is our friday shaping up?
hi carleekat
Who is "SHE", carleekat!!?!
hi granny....
and monkeygames
whe KNOWS who she is hahaha....my sides still hurt from last night scarlet
*Hug* carleekat!
hehe...i hope i have enough time today to do this puzzle...have loads to do today :( and this weeekend...
Ack! SPent a ridiculous amount of time looking for the po 7(crazy word), and it's a plural. I kept going right, instead of left. ***sigh***
It looks to be a challenge... but we wouldn't do it if it were "See Spot Run"... would we? Or would we? Hmmm
today our anniversary, yesterday my mum's b-day ( celebrating tonight ) and working a charity dinner on monday..food prep all this weekend
lori said a word!!!!!! <SHOCK>
aaa, the people who never sleep are here already. Guten Morgen, babbler family
Hi inge
i slept 8 hours inge...
I love to cook. Poor Lori... she's recently sprung from the Wit-less Protection Agency
G'd morning inge. LOL Scarlet
Good morning, inge. *Little hug* LoriP!
hi inge
more sleep tahn I got, carlee
hello Inge
Good morning -- how is 'folic' not a word? I take folic acid every day, and it's on the CDC's website as a word...
Scarlet, since that word is so obvious, I don't think it's worthy of the penalty box....
G'd morning ch
We were saying that earlier ch
Hi, ch1212... it was the first word I tried... No penalty box, Lori. Carleekat, how many years married?
Good morning Babblers!
its not THAT obvious... mind u I haven't looked for it...not enough caffeine to have ANYTHING obvious yet
what, it won't take folic, ch?
morning scrabbler
Hi Scrabbler
17 today
G'd morning Scrabbler
no inge, I've tried more than once
Hi CH & Scrabbler
mornin scrabbler & ch1212
Hi, and guten MOrgen Scrabbler
Best wishes for many more, carleekat. <3
thanks....
carelee, congratulations waht ever you are celebrating, missed the event posting
carleekat, is it your birthday today?
isa
wedding anniversary inge
OK, I caught up with the chat, time to dive in--------->
Happy Anniversary carlee!
thanks
Hi, Scrabbler.
ah, congrats. today is my birthday. And the universe's, according to Johannes Kepler. :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO U
Happy Birthday Inge. :)
Happy Birthday Inge and our universe!
Well, happy birthday, Inge2... and the universe, of course!!
sana el 7elwa ya gamiil, sana el 7elwa ya gamiil, sana el 7lewa ya inge2, sana el 7elwa ya gamiil
Happy Birthday to Inge the Second!
My husband just pointed out the irony of Kepler using a solar calendar to determine the birthdate of the universe! :D
thank you kindly. Thankfully, not as old as the universe, by a few billion years ;)
At least you are younger than that, Inge2!
Ah, carleekat... what was that?
( I sang happy birthday in arabic )
whoa.
thank you :)
That is interesting with the numbers interspersed with the alphabetic characters!
ur welcome
ohhhhhhh...yea... hmmm in arabic there are extra letters...
like...hummm...there 3 h's like sounds...each one with more phlegm like throat sounds...and the written character looks like a "7"
carlee, you speak Arabic fluently?
Neat!
not fluently....but I know enough to know a gist of conversation and be polite and answer simple questions...
so..there a ha'a sound like our soft h
there 7a'a sound with a bit of throat...and a 7'a'a which is LOADS of throat
( and to typically follow the hollywood terrorist crap in movies like oh what was the one with arnold and jamie lee curtis)
**choking while trying to make phlegmy throat sounds**
anyway..there 2 a's sounds...but one is written like a backwards 3 so when a word is typed with english font people use the 3
very interesting, carlee.
true lies, carleekat
( I had to learn some arabic for dance...cus at one one point I was contemplating using a particular song for choreography that turned out to be equivalent to dancing to a christian hymn )
( HUGE mistake.. thanks bookgrrl )
That is a wonderful start to the day, carleekat... to learn language factoids. Oops on the choreographic almost-miscue!
i had no idea the maddad ya rasoul allah meant the holy profet mohammed ( which is the 7a'a mo7ammed )
when u hear the name mohammed its the 7'a
anyway..happy birthday inge the 2nd
( hehe..oneof 7 dwarves in here today)
:) Danke.
ooh.. crowd got REAL quiet
***because cursing on the chat is frowned upon***
did I say something wrong?
This grid is TOUGH! (Or is it just me?)
carlee, it's sarcasm on my part. I'm cursing at the grid. LOL
ok...( hard to hear sarcasm in chat )
There are some toughies Scrabbler, IMO
I think this is 3 days in a row that no5/14 has shown up in the grid.
i'm still just scanning to see what I find without list
Sorry carlee, it was in no way directed at you. I was trying to be a smart ass, and failed....
***looking for no5**
<hug> its ok
( its the same from yesterday anagram of "stockings"
no + vi*** seats were terribly hot in summer, in the 70's
Got it---yahoo, my bottom row is greyed out---whoop-dee-doo
( not enough caffeine yet to pick up on nuances of chat )
***hands carlee a fresh coffee***
yummmmmmmmmm
Ina and out again... might not be able to come on for a while so I would like to get through one last grid. Haven't finished one in more than a week, I think. Can anyone clue the pl6?
bunny name in the grid today, Scrabbler, from Peter Rabbit
pl6/27 lots
OH DUH! You are just saving me from myself all over the place today! Thank you once again.
Ah, yes, Inge2. And ty, Frances.
conucopiae ( sp? ) is also horn of pl6
And the anagram=pe6
Glad to be off some help Monkey
*of*
The f's are stoopid.
Alright, time to get ready for tennis. I shall return this afternoon, with fresh eyes, and I hope I can see more words. Good luck everyone.
Also stuck on a pe4 and a pe5. I have the cent, I have to be held in, I have the serf, and I have the flower.
Bye Scrabbler!
Good Morning all on this rainy day.
enjoy your game, scrabbler
Bye scrabbler-- enjoy your game
Bye Scrabbler. Enjoy your tennis.
bye scrabbler
Oh No 25 C words!!
Bye Scrabbler. G'd morning peri
Rainy? We're having one heck of a spectacularly nice day!
Morning peri. Too many C words this week.
Hi, peri. Yes, we're back on the "C"
Hi Peri -- it's been raining here in Central Mass most of the night
( we cursed them already peri )
i didn't get the anagram clue for pe6
hi peri
That's okay, carleekat... peri can throw in some good ones, too!
nevermind..monkeyed and got it
hello scrabbler
there is a pe5 that builds on the pe4. Add an anagram of the normal adverb ending to held in.
pe6/27 sounds like a writing implement and a piece of slate on the roof
what can I throw in?
hi peri - rainy in maryland too :(
Somem more muttering about being awash in the "C"s
just greyness here.....
scuse, my clue was also for the pe6. can't count
No worries.
there are two other words that use the same pattern as the pe6 (starts with greek 5). no5 (starts with "9") and oc5 (starts with Greek "8")
Thanks! HAve the 8 one but am drawing a blank on what the 9 should start with, since I thought it was the same as a term for not but that didn't take.
Oh, it takes without the T. Thank you!
9?
Not a none-letter word, just that she used 9 in a clue and I drew a temporary blank.
9 refers to ....
there is no 9 letter word today
may I have a clue for the 8 please
no5 starts with the greek word for 9.
no* ( m*op )
Clue for the 8 pending...
( monkey typoed the no* leave off the vowel )
maybe someone who loves telling untruths for the 8?
ly + ped******s are disgusting pervs who should be shot
Take a substanc tyou might use to clean with (three letters) and drop the end vowel, then add a greek ending meaning someone who really likes something.
ch12, good one!
kind of a cryptic clue, I know...
LOL ch, very Haz like. Well done!
Wow, the ultimate compliment is "very Haz like"... thanks! (blush, blush) but I'm nowhere near her league!
excellent clue, ch!
Still need that pe 4 and 5... anyone can help?
thanks got the ly8
Thank you very much ch and Monkey!!
there's a pe4 that is your ne4 with a p... is that the one?
Have that one. But thanks!
And a pe4 that might be considered a nobody :)
Or you could say it's a flower that doesn't ask why
Hmmmm.... thinking about that one...
pe5/12 group of bikers biking together is a ***ot**
Oh, that is th eone I have for ne4 with a p at the start. Maybe I have the wrong ne4 in mind?
bye everyone - such lovely clues and I am not 'getting' them - v. early nite for me I think
monkey, you're needing to use the 4 score tile
Sleep tight lynx
Sorry, I don't get the biker one...
p + wee little pixie or one of Tolkien's immortals for pe4/8
ch12, ehhhhm.... doyuh, what? (goofy grin, vacuous statre)... not my day.
the pe5/12 is a convicted criminal with a p
Inge2, is that not the trapped in one?
monkey , pe + "***g time, no see"
no, monkey, it's a different one
bye lynxxx
bye lynx
OK, thanks to you good people i do now have that 5!!!!! Now just to figure out the 4... I thought you meant the giant trees, those make it the trapped in one. Working...
later lynxxx
man..coffee NOT working I am still back on the 8 clue <cries in empty mug>
Bye lynxxx...
Got it! That's a WORD???

ty monkey
welcome back, gwen.
ok monkey I have the first 2 ep's but the last?
grrr, won't take fixin, which is what everyone eats! LOL
evan, you said you had a story?
ahh, yeah
Like what TV series come in but with a couple of missing letters.
ty inge for the riddle clue, nice word!
eh???????
yesterday someone said how to put the babble list onto the lickety list...anyone remember how???
when i was little, maybe 3, i decided to make a funny face with my eyes crossed... well, apparently the muscles spasmed while i was doing it, and one of my eyes got stuck and i had to have surgery to correct it!
Ummm, last night I watched the latest entry in the series House. It was an ep.... Take a couple of letters out, and tehre you are.
granny, drag your cursor through the list, copy it, then go to the bottom left corner at lickety and paste it in the box
EP + *** to a Grecian Urn
granny, load lickety, go to VERY BOTTOM and follow instructions for the empty field
Granny, instructions now exist by the space on the Lickety's site.
evan TY
evan, wow, lucky you! Imagine if it stayed that way.
thanx
thanx much sam
oh, that would have been awful! i did have to wear some coke-bottle glasses for a year or two when i was little, but then my vision was *perfect* up until the end of high school!
en6?
i just used lickety's bulk load first time. wow!!
Great, isn't it? And you can put the same words in and it ignores them, so if you forget which ones ar enew, just paste in your whole word list again.
That was my idea, and Lickety's genius.
I tried it the other day and couldn't get it to work
That your dog, Sam? Nearly as cute as mine... ;-)
right now it only works in IE, right? Firefox on the way...?
He fixed it yesterday.
Works fine in Firefox now.
no not my dog, monkey, just the world record earspan hound.
ahhh
nope, firefox works just fine, i am using it and it just worked
I'll have to try it again
Very cute dog.
en6?
whoa, I don't usually use the list, but that's pretty neat!!
bravo, Lickety
and Sam, for the suggestion
sweet! last time i checked, Firefox was still on the way, but lickety was ill + down for the count. :)
i think barbara streisand would be bummed to know that Yentl is not an acceptable babble word. :)
indeed evan! :D
How about the el's? You'd think they'de be easy but at least for me they ain't!
EL + hello = EL4
i didn't get them first time thru...not on 2nd time yet
Thanks!
EL6 = EL + *** to a Grecian Urn + vowel
Thanks. Sounds like some kind of flower. I'll look it up.

oh man I can't believe I missed that one carlee!!!
that IC4 stems from the top i, not the one on the left...
carlee-don't ge that....if you mean the things we have next to our names, that comes from the top i

hi shdy
congrats to pink
hi annie!
shdy, love your icon, gave me a good laugh
:)
Hi, all. Good to see you, shdytree! Just returned from cleaning ketchup from the ceiling!
wow, sounds fun, scarlet! everything ok, lol?
I was laughing so hard that I could barely keep swiping! Yes, everything is all right!
i am just NOT going to ask why ketchup is on the ceiling
Good, good....
okay, I will ask---how did the ketchup get on the ceiling?
You know when you have two bottles of ketchup, the same size, and want to combine the contents of both? The smaller amount bottle gets turned upside down on the larger amount bottle and the vacuum pulls the contents into the one on the bottom. This has theoretically worked for years. Today, the pressure launched the top bottle to blazes and back, with a lovely, pop-art design!!
roflmao, didn't know that was possible!!!
gotta love pop art
did u take a pic?
*Bow* *Curtsey* *Dumbness of the Week Award*
might be worth something..neverknow
Scarlet, Just leave the pop-art up there, unusual design...you could get more for the house
**scarlet's new icon: ketchup on ceiling!**
No, no pictures... but it is forever locked into my mind...LOL
Wow, Scarlet! What a great physics lesson. That's like putting marshmallows in the microwave!
LOL, Judi... That's something I will NEVER do!!
Why have small boys not discovered this trick? Now that it's been published on the internet, expect an explosion of ketchup explosions.
that is how I made rice crispie squares in college
( with NO mess I might add)
Also like Mentos in a litre soda bottle.
Hi Haz
ever heard of Peep-jousting? take 2 Peeps and put a toothpick in each one. put them in the microwave with the toothpicks facing on another + turn on the microwave... ;)

Hello Annie and everyone. I thought I'd see how everyone was getting on, and now I have a new party trick to try.
Hello again, Haz! I trust that everyone will keep this our little secret!

Back oh so briefly. Titbits for the day:
Keppler said that Everything started on this day in 4977 BC Also, on this day in 1417 in Basel Switzerland a chicken was publically burned to death for laying a white egg and defying the laws of nature.
Hello Babblers All.... Goodness, what a grid today...
So, Monkey... that was technically the first Bar-B-Que, too.
I'm trying to sweat through my last 22 words. Might not be able to come back for a bit, I'd like to finish one last grid...
Hi Aussieme!
Oh, that wild and crazy Keppler! Hi, Aussieme... it's a toughie with tenderness
Hello Aussie - it's another one to test us.
hi aussie
There are some very strange words today, more so than usual! Afternoon all
hi mitch
Hello, FMitch.
hey mitch
phantom word: confide
Good afternoon FMitch - nice to see you.
Hi Annie and Scarlet and Aussie and everyone, and Haz!!!
Are you babbling up a storm?
ah...my rugrats JUST got up..promised them blueberry pancakes..bakc ina bit
( save from c's for a time..whew)
Good day Haz? Finding the p's more arduous (sp?) today than the c's
I need a co5/12 and a co5/14. In the co5's I already DO have: the one like to encrypt but with the consonant on the end, the man's name, the NY island/rabbit. What two remain???
Spelling correct.
what a delicious word i cant get it to accept, its from Harry Potter..... Splinch !!
The p words look rather unlikely, I'll give you that.
co5/12 - like the French short story, but use a different vowel on the end.
co 5/14 co+ writing instrument
Monkey, try the CO that means to put pigs with other farm animals together
Not familiar with French short story, sorry...
ow have the house critters together one.
more phaton words: fond, fondly
Then three letters to deceive, add the opposite of from.
Ooh kettle has boiled BRB
Thanks! That's done it! Co's down! Off to get Walter some juice and pack another box. Thank you!
Until later, MonkeyGames.
hints for the Y words? or the N thats bottom center?
NM on the bottom center N, just got it. :)
evan, for the Y, I want Yoda
me too annie!
and Yentl....heh
Two of the y words are noises of pain or frustation.
ANYONE NEED HELP?
thanks haz!
ya5/7 if it started with a b it would be the opposite of hirsute.
You're welcome.
ya4/7 that should be.
thanks! got all the Ys and now i have words stemming from each tile. :)
yadayadayada
pinkhatlil...is that offer generic, or do mean in Babble!!? LOL

Aussie - singular and pllural pain. And clued below for the other.
LOL Scarlet, with babble
LOL. Hope Google images works for you!
Greetings stidmama
thanx scarlet
hi stidmama
The op6 is an adverb, building on the op4
Hello stidmama!
duhhh, i miss such easy words, thanks haz!
mornin
Hi, stid
im OP6 addicted to babble -- dont try to hide it!
No problem, Beware.
yes stid, thats a baby picture...... I finally worked out how to get it to stick...
she is (as expected) absolutely gorgeous, Aussieme... she looks a bit like you, too!
Aussie, Georgia is adorable!
Haz -- may I bother you for some doggy advice? actually confirmation that what I am doing is reasonable...
Yes, stid - I'll help if I can and plead ignorance if I don't know.
Awwww, thanks you..... she is the spitting image of her Daddy........ and does look like me too.....
aaahhhhh, have the other y now, thanks for clue....
You're welcome, Aussie.
okay, late last night the german shepherd had been lying down for a while and when he got up he was limping. actually trying to walk three-legged. A back foot or wrist seemed to be bothering him. BUT the time and manner of injury hadn't been noticed (and he ye**s) really loud usually, so we are assuming he twisted it and just keeping him quiet for today. If he were your dog would you have your husband x-ray the leg anyway?
I guess on his back leg it would be an "ankle" ... too early. No tea or coffee yet.
if my husband had access t o an x=ray machine, yes
our problem is that he is terrified of the vet and needs intravenous sedation to be seen even for itchy ears...
Stid - doggie may have just had his leg go to sleep while laying down. If he's still limping or not putting weight on it by tonight, x-ray and/or vet visit is probably the right thing to do.
I would wait for at least a day to see if he begins to put weight on it again. If it doesn't look strange, and he isn't making too much fuss, it's probably not broken, so x-rays wouldn't be necessary. What age is the dog - could it be arthritis?
thanks Haz -- he's only 3.5, so I don't think it would be arthritis. We'll take a watchful waiting approach today. He does seem less in pain this morning.
Does it cause him pain if you touch his leg, Stid?
If he's that young, then it probably isn't arthritis. He may just have sprained something and it will get better on its own. No point in annoying him further if the vet isn't his favourite person!
Stid, did you examine his pads? He may have stepped on something that lodged in the tender tissue.
actually, he let us touch his leg last night, which was unusual. No, it didn't seem to exacerbatre it, though of course I didn't try pulling or twisting. :-)
clue for bottom middle n please.....
Scarlet, that is a good thought. I'll check them as soon as the kids are off to school.
Good! I hope he will be all right, stid
no5 - a reworking of the early synthetic fabric, has appeared often in the past few grids.
{{{{ doggy hugs for stid's poochie}}}}}}}}
thanks so much for the reassurance and suggestions, friends. :-) gonna get the kids ready to leave and back later to play some more.
Until later, stid.
See you later, stidmam.
aaahhhhhh, thanks Haz...
see you in a while stid..
bye stid
You're welcome, Aussie.
*sending good thoughts and vibes to Stid's pooch*

PO6-7 combo: Noth PO** + i (heart) ** (swapped around) plural for the 7
po6/7 combo - structured as with Anne, one of the six wives of Henry VIII. Follow the barber's sign with Scottish one, vowel removed.

Poooorrrr chicccckkkkeeeennnn

Scarlet, it's British (Lancashire)slangspeak for pawning your clogs--what you do when you die--a euphemism I've always loved thanks for it, pink
like "buy the farm" or "kick the bucket"
or "cash in your chips"
Exactly, esprit, but a shade more whimsical

OH DUH! Thank you. [creeps abashedly back...]
Neither do I, but it's culture... Glad you found it, redshoes!
LOL, Monkey
That came out wrong, redshoes... it is POP culture... my definition is much broader!! LOL
OK, it seems that all 6 of my remaining words are pesky do's. Whoi can help with do4/5 and do4/8? I already have: on the ****, finished, ganja. What two do4's remain?
how come "dayo" doesn't count?
only in Jamaica Mon
day-o....day-o, daylight come and me wanta go home
ha. no prob scarlet. I knew what you meant. =)
The do 4 before on the do4/4 is lose the vowel and replace with the plural
monkey... do you have flipper? the marine mammal?
I mean do4/5. Hit me.
Yes, but thanks. And Scarlet, thanks, one down!
mg, there's also the dwarf.
There is also a 4/8 which is what you are if you use do4/6
ok..so..the funniest thing JUST happened ( or rather sweetest - somewhere in between )
Ah, good one! So that's the 4's done, then.
Two spellings on the dwarf, Monkey
Carlee, what happened?
Speak to us, carll
one of the jehovah witnesses in my area....she comes around..like they do..but she really nice...( and by this I mean..if she was my neighbour we would have coffee all time)

thanks nancy
oh, and Happy Anniversary!
17 years
thanks all
OK, I need three do5's. I already have the dwarf.
if we were using a Southern dictionary, "fixin" would be a word. =)
17 years! Congrats. I'm coming up on 14.
like, I'm fixin to go to the store. (or in more rural parts, "fixinta" go to the store)
We'll have 18 in July - congrats to everyone!
Why doesn't it take "yentl"?
Get me Barbra Streisand on the phone!
Even more congratulations for 17 years! When I've got up to that many, er...weeks with my boy, I'll call that an anniversary ;)
chicken fried steak wit all da fixin's?
exactly carlee.
***disclaimer*** I can pick on the South because I live here. However, I do not say "fixinta."
Carlee... DO+ have a strong urge for something
( nancy..the LONGEr u can keep that excitment about 17 week anniversaries..is the key )
OK, got one, like John ***** the mystic. Need 2 do5's.
so whatexactly IS chicken fried steak?
and what are the fixin's
Should have seen that one!!!!! One do5 to go...
Chicken fried steak is battered.
Carlee, ever have fried chicken, like from KFC?
Fixin's include grits.
Afternoon all....
same idea, only with steak
ah...ok
um... I think it's just a chicket fillet fried. and the fixins are the sides. like greens, fried okra, grits, corn, mashed potatoes, mac&cheese, etc.
Hi there.
no, it's steak battered like chicken
Hi, caitlyn!!
for extra grease
chicken fried steak fixin's does NOT include grits, unless it's breakfast
Cube steak, flour battered and deep fried with cream gravy.
you can have chicken fried steak for breakfast.
and that would be mashed taters, not potatoes
( oh man..did I ever open a can of worms...so...the top 2 fi's? anyone)
How can there still be a do? Is it obvious? Am I that out of t today? Maybe I should try having some do/4. This is Holland after all. But no, I don't want to be more demotivated than I am.
i'm in Fort Worth, TX, so I KNOW... :)
where's Elmer, bet SHE would know
One of the top fi's is the bad person.
chicken fried steak is a cubed steak, battered and fried
Mark, I'm in Weatherford.
huh. just another reason I don't order it. I'm in Nashville. =)
do6 please
the bad person I have is the last one...the fi5,18
I don't know what dictionary they're using, but where I live "fixin" is a real word!
You are making me feel hungry now
The other top fi is like a type of tree you might have in your living room but the last two letters are different.
Fi+ the movies are the ***ema
good chicken fried steak is actually steak that has a good batter on it like chicken and then it is deep fried
that's almost like fixin. =)
chicken fried steak is big in indiana, too; along w/ pork tenderloin. yum!
do6: even tempered, easy to handle

( APPARENTLY one of the chip trucks here in town..does those...no idea why...we in canada )
I love the fried pickle chips!
Have the craving/currency one. Have the one like John *****. Have the dwarf.

Yes, in Westminster Abbey.
Hello cybernan!

Or, po6 - follow the barber's sign with the Big Apple, reversed.
Thanks, az. My poetry hangover prevented me from seeing that
I think one would deserve to win the game simply for knowing the word "polenta"...not something you hear every day
Haz, i do not get your clue...think i need more coffee
po 6 is kind of a mis-spelt word for what bees are after in the flowers
sp 6? -- have the Egyptian one
it's a cornmeal dish served in Italy and other mediterranean countries
ANother try? To the po4/5, a version of which firemen use instead of stairs, add Scots one, minus the vowel.
Take the first 5 letters of "polnta" and throw in a sometime vowel
nan sp and the period leading to Easter

did I see last night there is an EI word? if there is could have a hint please?
sh 5/14 - Yiddish word (or German, perhaps) -- to drag or carry around
shalom ARB! is it tzohorah or boker tov?
Erev tov -- it's 8 p.m. here, so good evening is apporpriate -- erev tov
ooh! I found the sh5! I think it's also used in the US to mean sort of "slumming" around?
todah, ARB, "erev tov" then! :-)
erev tov ARB
Not slumming around -- dragging things around -- kids, shopping bags, troubles, whatever!
Erev Tov Caitlyn
evening all, going to try and find the last 114, what a hard grid!
hey ren8! yes, it's not an easy one.
Clue for ya4 please? Have given up on it!
ya 4 is like the ye 4 hydra...
Evening ren...its an unkind grid today...and we still have those c words
Hi Stid, started this morning and was hoping by coming back this evening they might be easy, just wishing thinking I think

I cannot stand wine, it alway makes me hammered really quickly and gives me a really bad hangover
I certainly will, ARB
(if I drink even the smallest glass of wine I don't sleep for days..i nap..but i don't get any "good " sleep )
or a beer
What would you like ren?
or a cocktail...I rather sleep
thank you Caitlyn. L'chaim to everyone. ("To Life")
may I have a clue for the CO 6/39? I know it's a weird one, but can't seem to arrange the letters in the right order...
My partner doesn't drink, which makes me quite abstemious really as I don't want to sit at the table quaffing all alone, like an old soak
a large smiroff ice would be great thanks caityn
look at my spelling, anyone would think I had already had a drink
Co 6/39. Putting things into the second co4/6
Stid - it's not weird. It's to enact into law.

thanks everyone fireworks yay so it is goodnite from aussxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Yay!
wow! that came up FAST! how exciting and nice... *sending good thoughts for packing and moving* and be BRUTAL about dumping things that are not going to be used again...
well done anne
YAY Anne! sweet dreams...
po 7: pl of po 6/27 -- structured like King Henry VIII's wife who walks the bloody tower with her head tucked underneath her arm
the last time we moved (to our permanent home) I didn't take time to put some things in the garbage, thinking I *might* have a use for them later. 7 years on, I am STILL finding them and tossing!
We have been brutal, but now we have moved on to the sweep-everything-visible-into-a-box and badly label it phase. Walter "helps" by unpacking one box to our three. A good friend from Iceland is going to come entertain him all day tomorrow.
the Po6 is the piece of armor that fit over the kneecap, it's a medieval norman word
Everybody sing now --- "with 'er 'ead tucked underneath her arm, she walks the bloody tower. With 'er 'ead tucked underneath her arm at the midnight hour...."
I only moved in october 2005 and dumped so much but when we moved i was unpacking wondering why on earth i needed this junk. gary's a terror for krrping things just in case
that will be priceless, MonkeyGames -- and Walter will be happy to avoid being told "No" every three minutes!
ewww nan, what a grisly image (though of course that whole period of history was grisly)
right folks I'm off to get the little one ready for bed
happy hunting :o)
Oh, I see the value in not saying no that often; stay positive, right? That means staying one step ahead of him, and that means getting very little done. Yes, having a friend here to chase him all over will be a genuine life saver. Eric has three children, the youngest 15, and adores Walter. When he asked what he could do to pay my husband back for fixing his computer an dwe said this was just the thing, he said, "But that's FUN! Shouldn't I DO something?"
One of the nonsense songs of the 60's along with " I'm 'Enery the 8th, I am"
NightGAryandJulie!
I moved so much as a child, and my mother threw out so many things that it was hard for me as an adult to get rid of stuff when we moved... so many things I really wanted went missing when I was a child! But now that we are here for the duration, it has been easier to let go.
sweet dreams garyandjulie!
I LOVE that song, nan! LOL
those are fun songs, nan! *nodding head in time to music in head*
and Uneaixoise, it took about twelve hours, but I FINALLY understood the clue in your pic! LOL

OK, toddler's asleep (or at least really quiet), so I must off. Gotta pack everything in the dishwasher and put everything else in it, and wait for the guy coming to fix my cargo trike, and wait for the lady to pick up the stroller I borrowed when Walter broke his leg, and take the dog out, and pack, pack, pack!
good luck MonekyGames

Magnolia - but after petals dropped
something we don't have up here in MN; but is it the same magnolia that grows in the southern US or is it completely different in Australia?
Not sure.. its colder down here than in yr southern states I should imagine. Magnolias grow quite well here - lots of variaties grown
I just had an online chat with a friend down in Tennessee about magnolias the other day. I've seen them in Washington DC before; but she was telling me about her tree. They ARE beautiful flowers! But that's about all *I* know of them! :D
Made it to 100 - now for list - this one is too slow - or perhaps its just me!

ly8?
a book lover is a bibli******
thanks knight, got it
thx knightdl!
Thnx knight!!!!
Haz, I wanted to tell you about what our American media did last weekend. The ABC television news ran a retrospective, both touching and tender, on the March 13, 1996 heartbreak at Dunblane. It was lengthy by American standards, (approximately four minutes), and I thought of you and the people of Great Britain. I simply wanted you to know that my country has not forgotten.
so an ly8 is something that loves ly's
I wish floyd was a word
Thank you, Scarlet. It was something that I will never forget. My younger daughter was still at primary school, though older than those who died and I remember having to stop myself going to the school to get her. Thank you for remembering. It also is poignant that their teacher died trying to protect them.
Close enough, TEAGUE
huh?
any wisdom on the ly8.60 word, I'm baffled
hi everyone...i'm back for more punishment :)
It is also burned into my consciousness... but you, as a mother, carried an added burden.
hi granny
ly8 - ly, a vowel, Mr Spector, a vowel.
This sounds so sad haz :(
ly + the end of bibli******
hi grannymax
yeah, let's talk about one of those cheery school shootings instead
thanks, I knew that combo ws there for some reason
Must make dinner. See you all later. *Hug* to Haz.
I'm back, maybe the words will be easier to find on a full stomach
Teague - it was dreadful and remains an awful memory.
Bye Scarlet.
Hurshy, did you take the job?
yes, i did
Bye Scarlet
i start monday
bye scarlet
hey hurshy... when do you start... this week?

That is just wonderful and that is even better. Are you excited?
best of luck... i'm sure you'll do really well!
congrats hurshy on the new job
I'm so sorry haz. :(
yes, i am excited
hurshy - Teague is 'junior' and your tone was a bit sarcastic.....
last hurdle - and it's a biggie - is finding an apt and moving into it
be sure to tell us all about in Monday night. If you aren't too tired
hello agian
Thanks Teague.
yay hurshy for new job!
where is it hurshy?
i'm sorry, i didn't mean it that way, i just have a stupid sense of humor sometimes

Now I feel bad. A lot of things hppen on that day for me.

A good idea, Teague.

i must be off guys we have a kiddies 1st birthday party to attend tomorrow, and i have to plait my daughters hair for the occasion *sigh* happy babbling see you tomorrow!
LIke hurshys new job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cheery subject is hushy's new job, new apt, new beginning! and then again, there are flowers coming up.... it is actually spring
Are apartments hard to come by where you will be moving?
congrats hurshy, I hope you enjoy your new life.
it is spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to go look up the def. of Plait
plait = braid
hurshy, you have three cats??? I love cats
same as braiding
I am sure there are apartment complexes for pet owners.
yep, three very very well behaved cats
Puts dictionary back on the shelf. Thank you Hurshy
and thank you Doxy
we have a permanent tan haz so that wont be an issue.
Tht is cool. It would be awsome to have three cats
We always had cats growing up, loved them
hurshy, can you tell them one cat... to begin?
hi
Oh well, that's good!
I'm hoping to get cat soon
um, i don't think lying is a good way to start off
teague where are you, weather like fall?

hey tasha123
hi
*poof*

true hursh... but do they actually ask how many you have... i was thinking more like "are cats allowed" and they say yes or no, and don't ask how many? (I'm being naive)
How are your cats like hurshy?
Never mind. Got it.
good it is better but i will call you if i can play later tasha123

I want sploy to be a word :)

bye mom
i will miss mom
will any of you miss mom
wont we all miss mom?
we will all miss mom
it's always hard to know if something perfect is right around the proverbial corner, or if you should take the best thing available. If you're okay at your mom's for the while and she thinks you should hold out... then she probably knows....
lol
yes she was so famous and lovable
