Hmm - rats in the ceiling - we had one in bedroom ceiling - she made her next right above our bed - could hear the babies squeaking when she approached (footsteps in the ceiling) would not let hub put up poison until babies were bigger - he thought i was crazy - mind you they drove our cat insane - she tried every which way to get up there

the havahart humane traps work qute well-just put some reallysmelly cheese in and place it somewhere the cat won't get to it.
I think the rat poison is awfully cruel - but there really is not much alternative and funnily enough hydra they dont seem to smell once dead
I have had mice in my dog pellet bin - closed the lid tight and drove them to a field and let them go

we've had many squirrel problems. Finally found where they were getting in, but didn't want to trap them in there to die, so installed a dryer vent in the roof-one of those one-way things, so they could get out but not in. Then waited until all was silent and closed the hole up.

Really, about the only way is to block their access. If there are only a few, you can catch them after dark and take them far, far away.

Sounds like a whole army of them by the racket they are making. Trouble is I cannot reach the roof - Where you would put a ladder is a place I don't have access to.
Pigeons have an incredible homing instinct. As long as they have a dry, safe place, with access to water and food, they'll just stay forever and keep having wee ones.

Frances we have problem here with vervet monkeys they also come in and raid the breadbin and specially the fruit bowls - hide my fruit in the microwave
The male vervets are huge animals with huge fangs so one does not argue at close range usually just let him have the fruit and leave the way he came in

inge and annie: you can click on the words you have found and select them all (points and all), then hit control+C to copy them. then go to list page, look down at the bottom. there are two boxes. click in the upper one, then hit control + v to paste, and it will put them all where they belong in the list

annie, to start AOL, you had to either open Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape,... to tell your computer to get online so that you could sign in to AOL. That is the browser (software)

Min, Lickety's new page has the grid and his list and the chat all together. You can type in either a word for the grid or several words for chat in the same box -- if you've typed a word and hit Enter it will go to the grid and the list simultaneously, and will NOT go into the chat. If you type several words they will go into the chat and not the grid. It's well worth trying!!!

Ok - ADHD - a box that can add into Clues and Babble at same time - and also allow add to chat if you type more than one word. This means you don't need to move your mouse to change what box you click - AND also stops words going to the chat log accidentally
it you click on the show lickety add, it opens a new box you can either add your word(s) or use it for chat.

hi yobaby -- the warm towel often works for me...
as a kid, my mom would soak cotton balls in hot water and put them in my ear... Now, I use the hot water bottle or like stid, the warm towel
warm washcloth, and try to stay more upright. laying down makes it worse i've found as a kid.
