hi jean!!
aw kier, that is terrible! Mine isn't half that bad, it is just that he gets restless and a bit cranky and gets in the way of himself and us, lol.
thanks
Hi Jean
sprite does he like to watch movies? we rented and borrowed 2509 movies so that helped
no, not really. He is a Gemini. Nothing holds his attention for very long, he likes to do a bit of this, a bit of that, and so on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-OqKWX irsU is yesterday's fireworks video
oh no sprite, i'm married to one of those!
That is funny
i know exactly what you mean sprite.
so am I, Fran, and happily, LOL
Mine just sulks and refuses to take pain meds
See i would have just joined the kid on the floor and thrown a tantie too
funny thing is, I am so much more patient than I used to be. He says NO to everything at first. Would have pissed me off no end a couple of years ago. Now I just let him sputter, and then I suggest again, playfully, and he goes like 'well, ok, you are right, nag nag nag'.
morning all :-) I got all the TR words at last!!!

Morning all, I've still got yesterday's clues on my screen and I've refreshed twice. Anyone else have the same problem?
Hi Masie
good morning Maisie:)
nope but I did now my mistake 23 it is
nope, I refreshed once and all was fine, Maisie
there are two of those infernal, poseidon's "fork" and changed the first vowel of the first tr7 for the 4th.
hi maisie!
hi, Maisie
have to a long, long time to find a comment that that says something good about a husband or partner; and, when the post starts with... "now ladies..." I start looking for the ignore all feature.
that doenst work
I'll probably have to turn off, do some work and then come back to it. Don't need clues just yet though
Hey BABRaB
what doesn't work infernal?
lol BabbleRabble. I usually have good comments about my husband, he is the best ever.
hi babrab!
Hang on
first two tr7s are related to halloween, 3rd is poseidon's "fork" and last one just changes the first vowel of the first one.
this: changed the first vowel of the first tr7 for the 4th.
do you have two tr*** or treat TR7s?
Ok i have the no thats what i am missing

oops i don't even know these words are in the grid until you type them that way sprite =)
at least you have us to keep you company, kier, and lots of *hugs* and chat.

KEANU TAKE ME AWAY!!! =)
hm, and perhaps some other things as well, LOLLLL

hubby is working graveyard shift, adds so much complication to our lives =(
what is graveyard shift? Nightshifts?
worse than nightshift sprite
yes, 9pm-7am (he is a police)
please tell!
that's a 10 hour shift! Argh!
yeah, they do 4 10's and he has to sleep during the day on his weekends and try to be part of the family, too. i hate it =(
won't be much left of him to share with you, I guess, in that kind of shift? How long does he have to do that?
you answered before I asked, lol
very taxing, both on him and on the family, I think. Sounds tough.
they rotate every 3 months. there is dayshift (7am-5pm), swingshift (5pm-3am) and graves (9pm-7am) with a variety of days off!
HI?
he is always sleep deprived and tired, i am always cranky and feel like a single parent, etc etc etc. OK ENOUGH OF MY WHINING. sorry =(
i am working a graveyard shift right now!
very demanding schedule, kier :(
hi herinfern!
yes infernal?
hello am i here as i cant enter words
also police, xamot, or something else?
hi lady, you are visible to us :)
ha!, no i'm a pharmacist in a hospital.
hi xamot, i love your icon... what kind of job do you have?
*hugs kier again* If you cannot whine here, where can you?
ok seems i have gremlins again, Hi everyone sorry Keirlex
ok filled in on lickety and found around 50 more words time for a break =)
must away, bbl, Happy Babbling everyone:)
for how long do you have to do the graveyard shift, xamot?
bye, jean
bye jean and meliae
oh so can i ask you prescription questions xamot? =)
thanks kierlex
bye, meliae
i work 10 hour shifts
bye jean and meliae
xamot: also for 3 months?
bye Kier, I thought you were staying?
oh no, always. i have been doing this for five years.
I am not leavng, lol taking a break to chat
no i am not staying, i saw someone say bye meliae so i said it too =)
woooot, always on this shift! Do you like it, xamot?
I have 202 words I just might finish this one!
ah, sorry meliae, welcome to the chat then :D
what hrs are your graveyard xamot? do you have a hrd time sleeping on days off?
i mean, i am staying. ayeeeeee. see all these muscle relaxers/pain pills maybe are kicking in finally =)
i have 40 words and i am not even bothering to try.
opps its 6pm and i forgot to eat again all day
yes, i love it. i work 8pm to 6am. admittedly, i don't sleep very much.
silly herinfernallady
I am having the most decadent breakfast ever, with goat cheese and croissants.
xamot my hubby is trying provigil. not sure if it works or not =)
do you have a family, xamot?
yum sprite
no, just a cat.
i have to share part of one of my dreams last night. I had an italian soda that was made with dark chocolate syrup and it was called 'homicide by chocolate'
some dream, kier! :D :D
how funny kier!
I had a slice of berry loaf but i just forgot to eat and shower and get out of my pjs
rath
sorry
a cat can easily adapt to your programme, lol, xamot. Wonderful combination.
like death by chocolate, but someone else made it for you?
well, if i can't dream about keanu then i guess chocolate is the next best
yes, the cat is pretty flexible... i don't think he cares when i work, as long as i give him food two times a day.
mmmmm chocolate, spos i should get off my butt and fry up the curry
i dunno fran but it ended up costing $15. I also had a dream about zucchini. I am not sure what that means!
I think the combination is worth trying for, kier :)
you guys are making me hungry
you're going to run soda fountain one day? and serve zucchini bread
sounds like the makings of a kinky movie. Keanu, Kierlex, Zucchini and Chocolate.... Take One!
I mean keanu plus chocolate, of course. No zucchini.
i'd watch it kier (try to get an R-rating)
what's an R rating?
18plus
toss in George clooney and I am so there!
US film industry rating
must be 18 to see it alone, but not bad enough for an X
ah, ok! Thought that was X, lol.
owwww ok! X is beyond R.
mmm, george and chocolate
i think it would be an x for sure
is X always sex related? Like porn? Or does it also apply to violence?
yay! just found ta7x2 and te7 while we were talking
I agree but we must toss in strawberries and whip cream too
(sorry if I am asking stupid things, I am just curious)
it would have to be extremely violent to warrant an X without being pornographic.
lots of bad curse words will get an X rating sometimes too
oh thanks now i want strawberrys and they are out of season here
thanks Fran, that clears those ratings up a bit for me. So X can apply to extreme violence, but rarely does... X usually means porn. And R is for adults, but not extreme.
basically sprite
my strawberries are just ripening
thanks meliae, so bad language is an issue too... I will remember!
i'll be back in a bit
the language thing is not so bad now as society as a whole curses so bad it is just rediculous
bye for now, Fran
oooh pur raspberries are ripening too
yes I saw the U-pick place I go to advertising raspberries today on tv
Sprite : There is some really ridiculas ratings in AUs
Ok for example a graffic rape scene is R rated but sex no violence with gratitus tits and arse is X or XX or XXX rated
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_of _Film_and_Literature_Classification_(A ustralia)
thats where you can find out more Sprite, its one of my pet hates the ratings just suck
we have PG 14 to which means Parental guidance
In Queensland Bret Easton Elises AMerican Psycho was banned but everywere else its on the shelves or under the counter.
Yay for oc5.20 !
morning all, can't get bab expert to refresh w/todays grid
thanks lynxxx! what does it mean?
hi tecno! clear your cache
look at the def. Fran
hmm, much more interesting coversations this time of day!
lol
aha! funny
thats what happens when the ladies take over the chat, lol
and the chat doesn't move at breakneck speed at this time either tecno.
Hey tecno.
yeah I see Fran thought it was just that I was in babble expert
nope, the US daytime chat is tooo fast sometimes.
had to close office door hubby gets so p/o'd when I get up in middle of night
yep, pretty late for you tecno
hooo - halfway passed
go lynxxx!
ugh secondary brower pulled up when click on icons is IE no wonder slow
almost getting late for you Fran
only 10:30 here, i don't go to bed until after 1:00 usually
so can anyone tell me why babble expert won't show todays grid even though I've refreshed and refreshed?
3:30am here.
clear your cache tecno
you're a night owl jellen!
Yes, I am.
hey tecno, you're in the grid
tec, did you upgrade to babble expert 11?
i don't think about what time it is for you because you're always here at this time. i figure it's normal for you. :-)
Normal is relative
brb
not all relatives are normal
to bad it's not a word fran!
ain
ain't that the truth babrab?
yes, beta 11
None of my relatives are normal, BabbleRabble!
hmm, cleared cache still won't refresh
hmm, don't know what else to do, i don't use expert
did you close out the broswer and start over tecno?
maybe mrp or lickety will show up tecno.
well maybe I can catch one of them tomorrow Fran, better head back to bed
okay, good night tecno!
g'night, Tecno
Morning all. First thing I saw (or didn't) was a phantom word - cricket
gnite tecno
hi, Frances
well of course you would see that Frances. Good morning!
Hi Frances
there is a sports related word that's really close though
Having a quick babble (ten minutes!) and then I'm off to cricket.
franmag how old are your kids? i was just looking at your flikr photos... they are cute! i have a 9 and a 5 yr old
hah...got babble expert to refresh! Shift+F5
see ya all
great tecno!
night!
kier, my son turned 4 in February and my daughter turned 2 in May.
night Tec
ahh the terrible 2's and ferrocious 4's =)
that about describes them kier! :-)
they're great kids though, despite their strong personalities.
i think 4 was WAY worse than 2 or 3 for both our kids.
isn't it great they have strong personalities! I love mine for it.
hmm, i don't know how my daughter could be more obstinate or stubborn. thanks for the warning. :-)
my son is just like my hubby. thus they clash a lot.
i do like their personalities, exasperating at times though.
oh yes Fran, it is a challenge. But imagine your kids being doozies... that would be so much worse, lol.
i love my kids' personalities, too. they are definitely their own individuals. it is fun to see them grow and change.
my son announced yesterday he was too old for baths.
but sometimes i just want to flee and live by myself on a beach in a hut
i know sprite, you're right.
wooooot! Nice opinion... and now he stands corrected, lol.
well then he can take showers =)
kier: don't we all! Put them under the wallpaper and move!
that's what i told him kier! :-)
tsss addicted grids. Heroin first now co in variations.
i don't understand how 2 little people whom i love so much can make me turn into an irrational volcano of mom bitchiness
yes sprite, and the ca6 that brings them in.
sprite what r u talking about?
it's their special gift kier.
that's because they are yours, kier. They know instinctively how to push your butons, one by one.
good morning everyone
and my son is like my husband (who has admitted to a counselor we've seen that YES HE LIKES TO PISS ME OFF ON PURPOSE)
about the bad drugs? See co6 and co7.
hi, jakes-mum
hi jakes-mum
hi jakes-mum!
how weird, kier... why?
jakes-mum, we're just talking about the joys of having two children...are you ready for it? :-)
i dont know sprite, he couldn't answer that question. he likes to push people's buttons (he gets to do that a lot in his job!!)
ahh when are you due jakes-mum if you don't mind me asking?
true kier, but he better not press yours on purpose. Seriously.
'coz they get attention. good or bad, doesn't matter!. and boys seem to be worse than girls - in my experience only of course
nooooooooooooo! it's hard enough with one lol! My son is his father in miniature right down to the sayings and facial expressions! I hope this ones like me (8th Jan Kier)
i just want my 2 kids to LIKE each other when they get older. so they can provide some sort of support for each other.
that's very true lynxxx, that's what it's all about
well sprite, we've made it 16 years of marriage with him pushing my buttons...
i'm sure they will kier.
Siblings NEVER like each other! I have 2 older sisters who still hate each other to this day (I get on with both though surprisingl!)
I think I agree, lynxxx, my daughter seems to do that slightly less than my son.
I think that makes you a very patient woman, kier :)
i can't stand my brother. but he molested me when i was 5-10 yrs old so i have a skewed idea of sibling relationships and i want theirs to be GOOD
my kids love eachother. Ok, they fight sometimes, but they play together a lot and they really help each other.
sprite, i am practically perfect in every way! (as mary poppins once said)
how old r your kids sprite?
lol kier, I am sure you are!
I hope my 2 are like that sprite, especially as there is going to be 6 1/2 yrs between them
kier: daughter is 9, son is 11
my son def pushes my buttons more. my daughter just pretends like she doesn't hear us and does her own thing as long as she possibly can and then she tries to 'cute' her way out of trouble
part of it depends on their nature, jakes-mum. If their personalities just don't click at all, there is only so much you can do. But we taught ours to communicate. Put a lot of time and effort in helping them learn. It helps!
My son is desperate for a brother or sister, he actually said to us "I don't want to be lonely anymore" which is the main reason we decided to have another one.
I could cope with other people saying he shouldn't be on his own but when he said he was lonely that floored me
awww, that's heart-wrenching jakes-mum!
ahh, that's sweet jakes-mum. however, don't be surprised when he asks to send the baby back where it came from =)
I have seen that putting things out in the open helps to keep the relation clear. They are bound to be jealous, or hate eachother sometimes. If they can say that they are, and aren't ridiculed for it but get help to go through it and see what is underneath those feelings, they really learn to handle them.
I had a terrible birth with Jake which made me adamant not to do it again, but I would do anything for the happiness of my son so he asked we agreed
My 2 are 5-6 years apart, and although there was quite a bit of jealousy from the firstborn after the second came along...they are both now (as adults) really close and both have admiration & respect for each other - its lovely to see
that is so lovely lynxxx.
that's great lynxxx, something to look forward to for me
wow lynxxx, that is great
I must admit even though my sisters don't get on if something ever happened I can't see either of them turning their backs on the other.
that's how me and my sisters are jakes-mum, i'm the oldest of 3 girls.
at the moment I am trying to explain to Jake why he isn't sharing his room wih the baby (we have a spare room!) he's not happy
back again - reading back - Sprite, Kier, FranMag - i have 4 and as kids they played great together, now as adults (in their 30's - 40's) they're great friends
he'll understand when the baby cries in the middle of the night jakes-mum!
my sister has always been jealous. When she married a much older man who definitely didn't want any more kids (his son was older than my sister), she said she would never want kids herself. Then, when I got kids, she started hating me. Never got over it. She is divorced and remarried now, and has her own kids. I am dead to her.
well, tell him that baby can have sleepovers sometimes. that's what my kids do...
yay flosey! Great to know!
so sad sprite.
hi again flosey!
i'm sorry sprite....
We told him that he wouldn't be able to have his 1/2 hour telly time in bed if they shared cos he would wake baby up
of course, when they were young, there were also times of differing opinions, etc and a few yelling matches
congratulations on raising 4 good kids flosey!
yep, it is sad, but more for her than for me. I am really sorry for her that she feels so bad that she has to make me guilty for it.
ah Sprite, that is sad
My siblings and I aren't close at all.
i just wish they wouldn't pick on each other all the time. pick pick pick pick pick but as soon as you separate them.... they want to play together and miss each other and then pick pick pick pick. AGHGHG
flosey: my kids do that too. I have the feeling that is pretty normal, and I am so glad to hear from you that your kids still are great friends :)
have you been in my house kier?
Thats standard kids kier lol! my sisters used to sit on me and tickle me to death but if I picked one over the other they would fight over me!
not that i know of fran =)
jellen, i barely talk to my sisters either, even when we lived in the same house.
Tickle = love!
i just can't stand the constant low-grade bickering. it's so unnecessary!!!!!!
but they learn a lot from that, kier.
one day my daughter was screaming her head off, I went to see what was up, my son had taken her babrbie doll and tied it to the curtain string, every time she would try to grab it, he would pull the other string and make the barbie fly up in the air....aww the joys of children
It wasn't to me lynxx I am so ticklish I can't be touched on the feet undeerarms or back of legs lol
my son (9) is super competitive with her and now she is learning that and they turn everything into a competition
lol meliae!
back to grid, must try for a few more words
sorry mel, your story is making me snicker!
but it is like 'nails on the chalkboard' to me sprite =)
Is it easier to have one of each or 2 kids of the same sex?
they are 4 years apart, I have revenge my son has twin boys who have just reached the age of two, boy is he in for it
oh yes kier, I know! And I say, if you cannot take any more of it, just tell them to stop because YOU don't want to listen to it anymore :)
BBL - must get to the shops before they shut.
i only know that i have one of each but my girl thinks she is a boy =)
i love talking to you guys, but i have to get to bed.
no way to tell, jakes-mum, depends on the kids :)
by lnx
night Fran, sweet dreams *hug*
bye lynxxx! bye everyone!
bye lynxxx, bfn
if I had 2 the same I think I would want 2 boys not 2 girls, girsl seem to fight more
Going to sleep at the keyboard. Goodbye all!
gnite franmag! pleasant non-zucchini dreams
Back again after a lovely breakfast.
I will find out what i'm having in a few weeks ( hubby insists!)
ROFL kier!
woot ARB :) wb
nini everyone who is leaving
i do like having one of each
Bye jellen
ahh, we didn't find out about the gender of either one but I was correct on my
bye Jellen, sweet dreams!
'intuition' of what we were having
I used to wish mine were closer together when they were babies, but as they grew older it was nice having them split up more
that was a long confusing statement
my husband had it right for each of our kids. The gender I mean. I just had no idea.
I had intuition on Jake knew he was a boy before we found out by scan, can't tell on this one
morning jakes-mum are u home
do you have a feeling one way or the other about gender jakesmum?
Yes larlie, feeling better today (I keep leaning toward girls names kier, but keep saying he when I talk abot it!)
I really didnt have an idea with my son, with my daughter I just knew I even went so far to buy all gilr things, my husband thought I was nuts
i got really hairy when preg with boy and had really violent dreams. when i was preg with girl i was super emotional and had severe morning sickness (had to be hospitalized several times)
I have a name for each though
ohh will you share the names or are you keeping them secret? i love to hear about baby names!
me too!
I have been much more ill with this one than Jake which is why I am leaning toward a girl, and my best friend (also pregnant) has a feeling its a girl
glad to here that have u eaten today
by the way i just read a crazy article about people hiring professional baby namers to help them name their kids! i think it was in the new york times recently
If a girl I want to call her Abigail Holly Jean (holly after my great nan, Jean is my middle name) if a boy Joshua Bailey George
my daughter is Rosalynn I had that name picked out since I was a little girl, my real name is Rhondalynn
ohhhhhh Rhondalyn, that is SO beautiful! So is Rosalynn. I love those.
ohhh I like rhondalynn!!
ahh those are nice names...
those are good names, jakes-mum! Have a good ring to them, both!
anyone else want to share their baby names/stories behind them?
my son I named by acronyms sort of I got preggers in july and was writing out the names of the months...July august sept oct nov, and saw they spelled Jason, so Jasonlee it was!
Jake has my husbands first name as one of his middle names so if I have another boy he should have Chris' middle name (george)
I love abigail for aname
my daughter is kiernan isabelle and my son is alexander kellum (thus kier + lex = kierlex)
my son is Tim. Nothing more or less. He 'felt' like a Tim. My daughter is Isis Caya. The name Caya came up just before birth and it finally became her ... what is the word... the name we use daily.
The nanny is being very quiet about my choice of names, what do you think larlie?
I love those too, kier!
I toyed with isobelle which is a name I always loved but this one doesn't feel like an isobelle, does that sound strange?
I too had name picked out for first child if a boy, long before the occasion, then we moved in the last month and one night lady next door screamed out to her kid "DAVID ALLEN YOU GET IN HERE" there went my name!!
the only thing i thought of as odd was bailey and george together because it reminds me of 'George Bailey' in the movie 'it's a wonderful life'
well like part
absolutely not, jakes-mum. The kid is already present and has his or her own energy with him/her. If it doesn't feel right, it isn't :)
ohmigosh my father-in'laws name is david allen and he named all his boys with the middle name of allen (only spelled differently)
lol flosey!
which part do you like and not like larlie?
that was a great movie tho Kier
so I used it for the second son
my grandkids are, Ashley 15Justinlee 12, Kendra, 8 williamlee 4 Michael 2 (Jakoblee 2 Micahlee 3 these are the twin boys)
we had a hard time settling on a boy name for number 2 (tho she turned out to be a girl). we finally settled on Spencer Philip and 2 hours later my water broke. thankfully it was a girl so we could use kiernan isabelle
allen was a family name, I used Alan
love boys name girls not to shaw
did anyone like my kid's names, btw? :)
oops Miach is 2 not 3 lol
you only like the boy name cos I picked the names you picked for your son! (disapproving look) lol
love the name Ashley, kids had both male and female friends with the name
but will love to bits which ever
yes sprite I really like your daughters name and love the Caya as a nickname
i love the name Tim and timothy. Isis is very unusual and Caya is pretty (is it Kayah or Sayah?)
:D
Sorry sprite missed your post. I love the name tim, its my brother in laws name who I adore
like josh and bailey
it is Kayah. Isis is Egypt goddess of fertility and Caya comes from Gaya, mother ea5. Don't ask me why, the names just had to go with her.
here are boys names i liked that my hubby hated: Thatcher, Micah, Mitchum, Malachi
What would you pick for a girl larlie (you had final say on Jakey!)
do have to be a bit careful with 'popular' names - there were several David's all thru school but never another Gordon
I like the thought of having a JAke and Josh as jakey's favourite programme is Drake and Josh on nickalodeon
my husband is named Robert, Rob in daily life. He said he always was very happy not to have more names and he wanted the same for our boy.
bailey is a good first name
my daughter only had boys but if she would have had a Girl she was going to name her Lauralynn to carry on the Lynn theme, perhaps I will get a great grandaughter with that name =)
I have always like the name Robert that is my brothers name
well sprite, i must say that when i was growing up there was a cheesy show on called Shazam about a superhero and some other superhero woman and they said 'OH MIGHTY ISIS!!!' so that reminds me of that show!
oh no I like lauralynn aswell now i'm goig to end up changing my mind!!!
morning all, jakes i like ellie
lauralynn is a great great name! I love that.
my daughter in law is Philippino and they use their maden name for kids second name
or ella
why do you have 2 middle names for them jakes-mum? just curious
I looked at ella aswell, though again like isobelle ir felt wrong
hi oggy
I wanted to have an Arden but first name was Elizabeth - you can just guess how that would have been
not realy thought about names
i like isobelle
oh I will have to ask my aunt about that, she is PHillapino but I am pretty sure they used american middle names, I really dont remember my cousins middle names
I have a very strange love for 2 middle names I don't know why but Jake always was going to have 2 middle names as do both my sisters kids
a loveable child will make almost any name a good fit ... the name will bring good feelings to the fore .. the parents' task is to help the child make the name a word that will bring a smile
hi sprite, hows things
right BabRab
what a wonderful thing to say BR
each kid is loveable, I think.
larlie, did my walk last nite, took me 55min
totally agree babrab (hello oggy!)
there was recently a baby born in the states that had 20 or so middle names (they all were the last names of famous boxers)
morning oggyhows your feet
good grief
I owuld never go that far! think of the poor kid tring to learn to write his name!
oggy are u on lates
oh my! can you just imagine what his birth certificate looks like
hi oggy... hanging in there, feeling a little stronger now that the antidep med is kicking in. It seems I can decide better on issues. ALL issues, lol, even picking groceries was a problem before.
I don't like that, kier. Stupid parents.
yes mine are bad enough with all the double first names, I could not fathom all those middle names
larlie, feet are fine, yes on lates
indeed
back to grid
sprite, glad your feeling good
we used to have neighbours with the last name 'Olie'. (meaning oil). The man was called Peter. He named his daughter Petra. Can you imagine?
I always wanted my kids to be named after their dad as he loves them so much I want them to always have a part of him in their lives and they can always say i'm named after my dad
here's a link to the article about professional babynamers: http://www.thestate.com/166/story/1000 12.html
why on earth would you want some stranger to name your baby???!!!!
how sweet Jakes
thats awful Sprite, like the famous Hogg sisters, they were named Ima and Ura
here's a link to the story about the girl with 25 middle names (and i guess it was in UK not US!) http://www.guardian.co.uk/uklatest/sto ry/0,,-6730704,00.html
I think it is cruel, meliae. Really!
The bond between my husband and my son is amazing even when he was small he would rush past me to his dad! when I was pregnant with him if I rolled away from chris he would kick me until i'd roll over and put my belly in chris back, then these hands would feelabout to check before jake would go to sleep
there's a little boy in our town named Coyote. i think that is just plain mean
wow jakes-mum!
Ima Hogg (July 10, 1882 – August 19, 1975) was one of the most respected Texas women of the 20th century. Born in the small town of Mineola, Texas, ...
I agree kier! How can one do that to his/her kid?
it's amazing what babies do, Jake was always a daddies boy and I don't think that will ever change. And surprising ly I like it that way
jakes-mum, my daughter is such a daddy's girl. she was only 4 lbs when born and i don't think my hub put her down for the first month! I had to practically beg him to let me hold her =)
Chris would watch Jake sleep for hours! we put a single bed in Jakes room and chris would just lie there and watch him breath
that is so sweet jakes-mum :)
meliae - that is awesome :D
it's so nice to have involved dads. i still can't believe the number of dads who just barely interact with their kids...
I guess there wasnt a URA but Ima is bad, I looked for the other name and its a fallacy that she exhisted
I do secretly hope I get a mummies girl this time, though I can guarantee if it is a girl she'll be a daddies girl sigh I'm for bruises and empty tummies, daddy is for fun and playing
my dad doesn't even know how to play with his grandkids.
hello everyone ! :))
hello mr p!
I actually think that todays dads are more involved with their kids than they were 20 or even 30 years ago
my husband decided to spread his working hours over 4 days in stead of 5, so he would have one 'normal' day each week with his kids, and not just weekend days. He did that before our son was born and he has been involved with them totally. He is a wonderful dad.
hi there mrp, how are you
My dad didn't really know how to play with me and my sisters, but he loves to spend time with his 2 grand sons
i agree meliae
mrP! *hugs* How's today?
bloody marvellous!
wooooot! Great to hear, hun!
yes meliae - my son didn't think he wanted children and made it clear - when his wife became pregnant he changed instantly - had been a doting dad ever since, they're the greatest buddies
well i am going to work on the grid and then hit the sack. these muscle relaxants/painkillers are finally making me a bit sleepy
my father rarely played with us kids and when he did it was with the boys, it was like he didnt know how to interact with a girl
ah good kier!
I felt like ripping my own head off today... headache, toothache, you name it ached. I demanded a glass of wine only half an hour ago and all my aches have magically disappeared!
*has been, sorry, not had been
my son and son in law are great with the g-kids it amazes me to see them changing diapers and all that
Any clues for the de 7/52?
ohh mrp, hope you feel better!
My dad worked 2 jobs so was rarely at home, and he always wanted a son. He says grand sons are better cos he can play as long as he likes then give them back when they are naughty
wow mrP, that is a good and healthy cure!
diet
good to hear you are better, sounds like the wine was just what you needed after a rough day
ooops sorry my bad
I always believe in wine, mrp!
ARB, it is a man's name. There is a german crimi that is named so.
when u can give them back being naughty is the most fun
LOL, I agree
I think my dad actually starts most of the mischeif as punishment for when we wer little
I have a fridge magnet for my inlaws that says, 'if I knew that grandchildren were so much fun, I would have had them first!'
that is certainly my master plan jakes-mum
hey there mrp, perhaps a glass of wine now and then is better than meds to cure the aches - certainly more enjoyable
hi arb!
sprite {{{hugs!}}}
true true flosey! am over my meds and looking for an out!
second on my list is to feign deafness once i turn 75
I remember my mum used to say to me after I was particularly naughty "you wait when you have kids just like you i'm going to laugh and laugh"
woot, fireworks
a strange baby naming story for you, when my sister was around 16 she dated a boy, they lost contact for like 20 years, when they met again they both had children, and had named them Crystal and Brian, only the names were spelled differently, they both swear they NEVER discussed baby names while they had dated for that year.
yay sprite
yay Sprite
my mum was a cow... she would say, 'you are going to have the children you deserve!' (she said it in spite) and I have gorgeous kids... so nah!
oh jakes mum, I heard that so often almost grew up with a complex, mustn't hurt Mom or I'll get it back at me when I have kids !! lol
WTG Sprite, good for you
i would have taken that to mean she was right mrpresident
You must have deserved great kids then mr p!
yay for sprite!
she was right then, mrP :D
:D
awwwww I have seen this movie before, and I LOVE it!
My Jake can be a naughty little so and so but he is so adorable I wouldn't change him for the world and he so reminds me of his dad which always makes me smile no matter how mad I am
yuck, what word starts with ct !! and it has 7 letters, hm, come back to that later
it would be dull if kids were good all the time jakes-mum
I am part of a parenting forum, my name there is Ayla, here is a link to a post I posted over there that I think you will enjoy, http://vnboards.ign.com/cb_parenting/b 23096/102964927/p1/?9

lol jakes-mum - the favourite memories later are the naughtiest times though, they are the ones we laff at
ed5/14 - a command
"The most important thing a father [mother] can do for his [her]children is to love their mother[father]." -- Theodore Hesburgh
kier: command, decree issued by a sovereign or other authority.
ED 5/14 tell someone to do something
good one JM, love it!
I like that one, BabbleRabble. My parents hated eachother. My husband and I are still in love after 12 years. I know from both sides that you are right!
I can't help but laugh everytime I think of walking in on my son when he had decided to colour in my stone hearth and the look on his face as if all heck was aqbout to break loose on him
heres one of my 'faves' from my son... when he was about 4 he put the hose in through his bedroom window in the basement and turned it on because he wanted to see what happened and he wanted to make a swimming pool.....
ahh thanks everyone! got the ed word
lol kier, how terrible... and how funny!
or the time he 'missed the bus' on purpose and then ran all the way across town behind it just to see what happened (in 2nd grade)
a kid that wants to learn by tr5 and error, kier, LOL
oh kier! what a little bugger LOL!
yes, he's a handful to put it mildly. he is very wise tho, too. when he was 3 1/2 my hub was teasing him about santa bringing him coal in his xmas stocking if he didn't behave and my son just said 'well, then i will make diamonds out of the coal!'
any last calls for clues before I go?
hehehe, kier just said a word :)
sso, sprite, you have taken charge of your treatment?
sprite, how about the Fr6/30 please?
sure did, BabbleRabble. Had a talk with the doc about the pain medication and got it tripled, with permission beforehand to take it up to double that amount if necessary. Am building it up slowly, not there yet. But the anti dep is kicking in, making it easier for me to know what I want and make decisions, however small. Thanks for your support, your words earlier really helped me see that I had to take charge.
"what a fr6.30 we have in Jesus" (sunday school was a loong time ago)
kier: we all are :) Not enemies!
oh jeez, that was easy!!!
Good for you, sprite!
thanks!
10Q, 10Q, 10Q =)
:D Feels better, BabbleRabble, that is for sure!
Sprite - it's so good to hear that things are getting better for you...and belated Congrats too

MrP how has your day been good I hope
MRP - just read your daily update...the option sounds so much better!(and much less scary)
thank lynxx! decided to go for the lesser of all evils! if this fails, can go to the grafting, so have a fall back at least :)
it has been good lore! I found out I am having surgery on the 18th July... so I am taking a 2 week holiday up the coast
sounds like a great plan to me
wonderful MrP good for you!!!
May you have the best of times on holiday, mrp; and may the surgeons that attend you be inspired!
ci8.50 ci + cons + Tobl***** chocolate
thank you BR, my holiday will be joyous as my children will be with me, and my surgeon is up for the challenge!
yucky Cs two days in a row off to the Cs

me too Mr P its not that they are so hard it just seems i dont see them in the grid
Morning Babblers.... what is all this talk of C's are we to be tortured again today?
absolutely nono :) welcome
morning nono yes more torture
Hi Nono...it's better than yesterdays - and shorter!
a bit shorter lynxx :)
I'm finding this grid tough! perhaps because am just too tired - 3:20 am time to get some sleep
hi
morning herin
mrp, where up the coast will you be? Not Palm Cove??
hi back
Will be in Forster Helena... going on Sunday :)
Hey Herin

ah ARB
ty ty
woopee!!! ARB
Hooray for ARB !!!!
ac 5?
woooooooo just found the 10!
ac5 - describes a ready to shoot gun? A plus a male bird
ty
You're welcome.
TY Haz. everything well with you?
Yes, thanks, another big grid to tackle today.
good morning everyone. 64 c's!!! Isn't an earwick an insect?
We have earwigs.
ah yes. Not fully awake yet (or at least that's my excuse)
as good an excuse as any eva
I don't think they bear thinking about at any time.
they're the ones with the round pinchers in front, right?
(refusing to think about them)
ai 4/4 please?
there are many more disgusting things in the garden Haz. But I'll be good.
That's okay, Eva!
the deer ate every single rosebud from my garden, plus most of the hostas and geraniums while I was away fro 3 days!
finished the Cs good to get them out of the way
wow! very impressive, loredana!!
i now have surrounded the garden with garlic, pepper spray and coyote urine. And am thinking about Bambi burgers
ar 5/12 please?
hello une
EVa! :-D
Thats what happens when you plant gardens in their footpaths
Hi eva
I just had Chicken Curry
hey, herin :-)
Herin you just a big tease I am off to get some dinner see you bablers later
lots of deer this year. And they have plenty of other stuff to munch on. Unfortunately am much too soft heartd to ever harm them....but will try my best to discourage their using my garden as a smorgsabord.
later, lore :-)
But your eating them Eva. Does that stuff work
The garlic clips and liquid fence spray worked until now, but apparently they gets used to anything, and you have to keep switching around. I've had a lot of luck with the coyote urine in the past, with raccoons, but we'll have to wait and see.
I'm not eating the deer, if that's what you meant herin
Ok Eva you said Bambie burger and thats what i thought
me too, herin! LOL
I said I was thinking about them...out of revenge fantasies, but would never actually do it.
Eva, I'll trade you some devious squirrels and chipmunks for a deer or two!
see i probably would, and squirrels freak me out
313 words and no s?
yes, bichon . . . sigh . . .
Unea-the same company makes fox urine, which might work with the squirrels. But then again, squirrels are unbelievably persistent and smart.
squirrels are rocket scientists when it comes to stealing my birdseed!!
I have 2 ca 7s both alike what is the last one please
any suggestions for keeping the neighbor's cat away from my birdfeeders?
Une - get a dog.
ca7 - the sort of food that vultures like
telling your neighbor to keep her cat in
i have dogs but they're inside . . . yard isn't fenced
never mind i got that 7
anytime u see them..spray with hose...
you'd only have to let them out once or twice to solve the problem
( my mother's trick)
Une and eva we have been told to pee on the trees to deter possums, not up for that idea myself
i may try the hose--yelling and clapping sure doesn't work! LOL
eewww, possums are soooo nasty!
Malamutes are excellent for getting rid of cats - and possums
the redeeming feature re the cat in my yard is that I'm pretty sure he hunts chipmunks!
Um the possums are really cheeky at my parents place they have tried everything non lethal
I'm curious about how women are supposed to pee on trees?
do possums have any natural predators? I helped raise two orphans once, at a zoo. They are fascinating, but only a mother could love them.
how is this grid all?...I am looking and no "s" and my first word was a 3 pronged "fork" of sorts...yikes..am worried
Greetings from the film-type person!!!!!
herin, a few years ago one of my neighbors was lounging on his patio . . . he reached over and petted what he thought was his cat but it was a possum . . . he totally freaked and went for his personal arsenal!
Hi MM
hey, mm!
Eva i think they have foxes but in tasmania there arent any
hi eva - re peeing on trees: you lean backwards - we did that in summer camp.
hiya MM
Babble is sooooo educational!
Anyone found any 8s or the 10 yet?
I have 3 of the 8s
MM... I am still not past the 313 words with no "s" yet
we can get an answer for everything here! just ask
The 10 works off the 8 - happening at the same time
you must have more projectile equipment than mine. I think I'd just end up wet. The Shake Away critter urine is a lot easier. Also, I'm not sure the deer would be particularly intimidated by human pee.
Morning 6a. Are you in the city or country?
what about human sweat
yes, I have learned that i ca nput to memory a great number of "words" that I likely will never use
how would you do that bichon?
re8/75 prepared a gun for shooting again
I mean we're talking about covering a large perimeter here
country
in8/50 - police speak for something that happened.
ty haz
ty haz
ir8/45 - keep adding to the decreaser to find something slightly mocking or teasing
clue for the CO 7s please
co7 - highly addictive drug for the crack brigade of users
co7/36 - of a particular shape
co7/36 - a Welsh boat, round, small but sturdy
Thanks haz
decreaser haz?
co8/55 happen at the same time
The implement that takes creases from clothes.
ah
thanks!
You're welcome - the co10 is a development of Une's co8
Welsh boat, any hints for us Yankees
oohhh, thanks, haz!
De 7 please
Bichon google welsh boat
co7 - Welsh boat, if you have the co5/12 (growing in reefs), insert a vowel at the end and a consonant before the last letter.
de7 oil de***** . . . a metal tower
thanks herin
de7 - sounds like the actor knight, Jacobi, but spelt differently
Hi all.......would you believe my carers arived last night and I still had 30 words to find.....it was sooooo frustrating..........was I the only one not to finish?
hey, flask!
are you kidding flask!?
that was a monster
the co7 boat also ends with o6.21 - a wise person
I finished flask ,just might we add
thanks
Hi bichon, Une, Haz, infernal, Esprit, lynxxx. Been up all night at hospital with partner. He had a stroke. Using Babble to distract myself until visiting time.

Taking a break, back later.... hydra, I know the heart in the mouth feeling, I hope it helps to know that others are thinking of you. Bye for now.
313 and not even an S... these grids are funny
Hydra - hope it is not severe and he makes a full and speedy recovery
Sorry to hear that Hydra........I shall be thinking of you...
Was waiting for a cab outside hospital at 3am and this weirdo tried to jump in it and get me to take him somewhere. I yelled, "Drive! Drive!" at the cabbie, like somethng out of a crime movie.
clue for the DO 7 please sorry i dont get it. Hydra hopes he gets better quick and soon
its amazing how some peple can recover from strokes nowadays.......medicine improves with every day that passes!
Had to wait 8 hours to be seen by a doctor. That's British health service for you. Thanks, Flask. Hope so!
ops that was the DE 7 sorry nothing makes sense
ok....am going back to grid......will pop-in from time to time....but am gonna finish this one!!!...lol
never mind illbe in a corner thwaking myself

the guy that shot the guard was interviewed yesterday, and said it was an accident. The guard was shot twice, once in the chest and once in the head.
guard..shooting... I missed soemthing somewhere
Please breath Doxy, what the heck happened ?
your son in law's uncle?
my son in law was interviewed by the news yesterday and was quoted on the news.
forensics will prove otherwise doxy...
the viewing is tonight, funeral tomorrow
the shooter was a prisoner, right?
yep, was transported for an MRI. somehow escaped, he is blaming the guard for removing his shackles, which have to be removed for the MRI.
he had to say that cus his lawyer told him to... to get him off on lower charge
ridiculous
it will never fly
fought with the guard, said he didn't fire the gun, just went off somehow.
well..of course..cus he not responsible for taking a gun..and pulling trigger...was "act og God no doubt"
don't worry doxy.....
the guard happens to be my son in law's uncle. leaves a wife of 39 years, 5 kids and 16 grandkids
Doxy hun was that the prisoner at the hospita shooting?
yep
went off in guards holster and somehow twisted itself by "act of God" to shoot in head"...totally feasible..NOT
I am reading it at the security info website
he is in protective custody because of death threats against him. I say let him be released into the general population and save us the trouble of having to house and feed him for the rest of his life.
he could get the death penalty for this one.
Doxy do you mind if i put the link here?
di7.32 di + the person who is in charge of nursing staff (or a married women - m*****
Doxy...all this crap ..is just crap... don't let it upset you ( I know easier said then done) it will all come out in the wash...and they will get to the truth....security personnel and police and emergency services...is a brotherhood...they WILL get to the bottom
thanks, lynxxx
I know, just had to vent a little.
vent away.. * passing more chocolate*
Big hugs...
Doxy can i put the link here that i found from the security guard forum please?
that would be great
hello everyone. it's another big grid today
take deep breathes..and let the guys used to dealing with this crap in every case they work..deal with this crap too..its what they do for a living...
I'm going to the viewing tonight. Don't know him well enough to go to the funeral, and it's going to be a media circus tomorrow
Thanks
where did this happen doxy?..I have been in news hibernation lately
This is a forum link
http://forums.securityinfowatch.com/sh owthread.php?p=32968
going to support my daughter, her hubby and her mother in law. Utah

Doxy they look like professional tats not prison tats
thanks une
te
ooops :)
I read a newspaper article tuesday night at work, he got into trouble in prison for doing the tattoos
yw :-)
there a pic of your daughter in law's uncle there too
he got involved with a "skinhead" gang in prison, who are now mad at him for talking with media about the gang. he was interviewed on msnbc (I think).. my hubby saw the interview.
he was a very nice looking man
mmm interesting as they sure as dont look like prisoner tats, anyway someone should have slipped with their revolver when arresting him
aww - my mum was famous for her ec6.21's - choux pastry/choc. & fresh cream
actually, when they caught up with him at the Arby's on of the cops did shoot. They are investigating that, because the gun was brought out by someone in the resteraunt who wrestled the gun away from him and got stabbed in the process.
that sounds good right now lynxxx
Doxy i am so sorry to hear about that
well...upshot is..when he does go back into prison... with all those tatoos on his face...the black prison population will take care of him
he was a vietnam vet, 32 years older than the prisoner and about 8 inches shorter. He got the better of him. It was great
I recognize some words from yesterday's grid :)
I feel better now. thanks for listening.
*more chocolate*? hey...its a babble famiy...good bad and ugly....

in8 - similar to the co10, an event
in8: Star Trek VI: Praxis explodes: the Klingons call it an in8. Sulu feels this is an understatement.

nice clue hurshy
star trek clues are always nice clues

And we are on Lake Erie, Inge is near Lake...?..whatever Detroit is near...?Michigan
very cool to watch, don't want to be in one though
hehe. 3 words, 2 letters finished!! way to start!
**feeling very geographically-challenged right now**
detroit is between lake erie and lake huron on the detroit river just south of lake st clair
Go go KC!!!!
I reckon about 1/6th of the words here use the ck - at least 40 and I still have 70 to find
lake huron is north of lake erie...
TY, and today's geography lesson is brought to us by Carlee!
funny I used to HATE geography..now I love it
ugh.this grid is so not interesting me today
I love looking at maps--just haven't looked at Great Lakes in a while
hehe. the E's were easy
have u ever read the childrens book "paddle to the sea"
it won the aldocot award YEARS ago
me too scrabbler
( I thinkwas aldocot???)
carlee, you have permission to skip this grid today, as you have provided invaluable info to the Babble Team
Caldecott Award
thanks...ok...well..paddle to the sea?
I will check that book out
we read that at school carlee, by Holling C. Holling
It was on tv too
its about an indian boy who carves a little canoe and man out of wook...he from north of lake superior..and it is the story of "paddles' travels through great lakes to the atlanic
What a name...I once had a patient named Kellie Kelly---I always wanted to starngle her parents for doing that to her
my name is kelly! ;-(
Scrabbler I have a friend called Polly Hester :)
I love reading about Native Americans too
my city is in there... Sarnia... huge petrochemical industry here
Hi Kelly!
any clues for the re8?
nm, found it
anyway... its a really cute story
Sarnia?
Oh, you are in Sarnia--I know that name--hey I could drive up, pick you up and we could head on to visit Inge
nm, didn't find it
yeap..sarnia...
Liz--did your friend change her name?
Sarnia is the old Roman name for Guernsey across the water from my island
Sarnia is south of Narnia
Scrabbler - no but I would have done!!!!
yea..i was just in birchrun the other day in fort gratiot
morniing
hi dorens
Hi Dorens
Good morning, Doren! Enjoying your summer vacation? 10 wks of relaxation, right? **hoping you don't work in the summer**
historically it was a huge settlement for North American indians...cause of placement with river and the lake...
Guernsey's national anthem is called Sarnia Cherie
if u google sarnia... u will see how close we are to USA
just other side of the bridge
right Scrabbler, I don't work. (but hae much to do in the house and garden).. enjoying the week... but today i have some nasty stuff happening at the dentist and may not be enjoying the day.
I didn't used to like history, when I was in high school, but now I am very interested, maybe as I visit more places
wonder if it was Guernsey emigrants who named your city
Yuck, Doren--root canal?
huge dutch and british settlement
sorry to hear that dorens.
I'll have to do some googling like you said
no, dental implant.... a tooth that had been covered in crown most of my adult life broke off last fall.... just came out in my mouth as i was driving home. so dentist removed the root... big deal a nasty one, he said. now implant will be going in
so, why did i start a big grid, knowing i'd be zoned out on painkillers and stuff later on????
I wish I could have had an implant. Had to have a bridge.
Carlee - look what I just found - Sarnia is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada (city population 71,419, census area population 88,793, in 2006). It is the largest city on Lake Huron and is located where the three upper Great Lakes empty into the St. Clair River. The city's natural harbour first attracted the French explorer La Salle, who named the site "The Rapids". The name "Sarnia" was the Latin name for Guernsey in the Channel Islands just off the coast of Normandy, France.
cool liz
I so would like to have a lazy day here at home as it is dark and raining, but I have to see a newborn at the hospital (always fun) and then work 11-6, so off I go buddies.
i just like the fact that it rhymes with Narnia!
there u go....
congrats scrabbler.
Its a small world how everything connects huh?
how big?

jakes you need to go where herin lives she is by southlands
we've had the normal of tim and isobelle to the majorly unusual
Anne i am a 2min walk from Southland its bad
I'm sure with this group.
Good if i want to get shopping as i dont have a car and i hate shoping for food with others
my daughter is going into labor in about 10 hours!
we had a huge discussion earlier on what babblers had named their kids or names that they had heard people had used,
is southland a big shopping center?
Tecno are u going to be a Granmama?
tecno, is she being induced?
yes it is Tecno
already have a 10 year old grandson, this will be #2
god herin how do you find time to babble when you are sooooooonear there
being a grandma is so much fun.
yes, being induced, not overdue, but baby is to big
http://westfield.com/southland/
It is for Anne she gets to shop constantly for her thousands of grandchildren / great grandchildren
There you go Tecno thats the centre i go to
well i am a great granma doxy
I work labor and delivery. we induce a lot.
congrats Tecno you must be so excited
ANne i dont go there often
me too anne!
I'll wait for that anne. my mom sure loves it though
I really don't care for kids much after they start walking
really doxy? When I had mine 30 years ago, they didn't do that much
if every 2nd day is often :)
I was a YOUNG gramma
I also hate shopping...went to Walmart 2 weeks ago, 1st time in a store in several months
and i pick up all my friends kids along the way so i am nan to all of them too
I became a grandma this year and will again later this year. I feel so much younger
we usually have 5-6 scheduled procedures a day (except weekends, up to 4 then), and usually some on wait list.
WOW, daughter is on a wait list also, she goes in at 4pm to wait for a room
that is so true bichon
The idea of watermelon out of a lemon doesnt appeal at all to me

hi wurdy
hey there!
Jakes you already had one :P
herin, that's why epidural's were invented.
hi ya wurdy!
hey everyone
Doxy i eat pain killers i am a pain wuss
I was induced for that and the midwife said thats why I had such a rough time. Plus I had epidural so felt none of the actual pushing stage
hey wurdy
hi wurdy
I'm right there with you on that
me too herin, got to have drugs to get through pain
have you any kids herin
God no and i dont want them either
I never wanted kids until one day I found out I was pregnant. After that, it was pure bliss. Irrational but lovely
you are only young yet you might change your mind later do you think
I am qualified in childcare but dont work it
No we have already made up our minds on the kids thing
I think that its admirable if you don't want kids to just not have them.
having kids is wonderful, but not for everyone.
trust me, sometimes, I wish I could give mine away
My eldest sister was adamant she didn't want kids, hated them! she has just had her second and is the most doting mum I know
kidding
We cant afford them we are still sharing a house and well id rather be the auntie with my friends kids
wurdy, we all have days like that.
My other sister on the other hand always said she would have one and now says she can't give up her holidays! lol
there are days I would like to give mine away, and they are all grown
you seem to be a very busy girl herin so your life is full with your work
Wurdy my mum said to me 'names a-z and the letters inbetween get back to me when you say that'
I kow. I haven't had one in a long time. Came up with a great solution for when the physically fight with one another
i kill house plants :)
I simply make the hitter do all the hitee's chores for a few days (they are 8 and 9) while the other one does whatever they want to. Only had to do it twice.
that was the worst for me, the physical fighting wurdy, girls, 2 years apart
you crack me up herin
good solution wurdy
kids learn to feed themselves. Thank god, they would be dead by now!
tecno - mine ar e10 1/2 months apart
1 was sweet and giving, 1 was selfish and cruel
thanks doxy...It came to me in the middle of a time out that I put myself into
oh, wow, at least they are opposite sex
going to eat breakfast. will be back later.
ONly child here mum and dad waited ten years to have me, im adopted
yes, they are, and I love them, but htey can crawl up my butt and build a house faster than anything I know.
see you soon doxy
by doxy. I adop[ted my oldest herin
bye doxy
bet you were loved well though herin!
welll, he is 13
and where you spoiled herin
how old was he when adopted, wurdy?
bye doxy
Bye Doxy, well spoilt more like it :) we lost everything when i was 6 to bankrupcy so i know what its like to go from having everything to nothing. My parents have been married 40years this year
god, long story long and short is, it was a step parent adoption and I got him at age 5 he was in another state when he was taken away from his bio mom due to neglect. My husband previously had to go to court for three years before he could get parental rights. By the time I got him he was a lost cause.
Is he not all better now Wurdy?
clue for the ci 8/50 please
He is now in a foster home after some predetory issues and spending some time in the juvie hall. I am suffering from PTSD and Depression and my kids are finally not scared to live in their own home anymore.
bless you herin i think life is hard sometimes but at the end of the day all you go through makes you a better person
shoot man that sucks for him and your kids and your family
I tried to love him the best I could, but I firmly believe he is a sociopath through and through
I look at what i have and are grateful every day
totally. It has taken me a year just to be normal half the time. But life is good, and we are safe and that is all that is important.
I was watching Blood Diamond last night, god, I never felt so fortunate for living where I live
Good Morning!
Good Morning!

G'morning, Stid!
hey riemann -- was going to write to to you later -- how did the phone interview go? did you start the math stuff for the kids yet?
{{{{STID!}}}}
hi non and tech and stid and tnt
{{{{JILL}}}} :-)
hi stid!
there's jilli! :) hi
math for kids gets plugged today on the local radio. I leave in 5 mins to make my plug.
hey tecno -- you're in the grid today!
Next week, I'm off to Indiana for an on-site interview.
woo-hoo! you plug away, riemann, emphasize FUN... LOL
yeah, so I've been told, to bad it's not a word!
yep. I tr5 it, but it didn't work for me either! :-D
hi all :)
oh -- on-site interview sounds more like they are really interested.... *figners crossed*
hi atalate!
hi ata :)
Tecno, I like your pictures. I have a border collie, too! She's at work with me today.
watch out for post soon, stidmama :)
Thanks Stid. Bye for now. *wave*
later riemnn!
I used to take mine to work also, gail, 1 or the other of them goes with me everywhere
btw.. my A key is not working half the time...
Mine is 16 years old. We are almost at the end of the road with her.
why can't it be 3 letter words! lol oh that'd be a HUGE grid
sorry to hear that gail! My oldest is 9 and she is already showing signs of age
limping, etc...except when food is involved
I love my woof and I don't ever want her to get old :( feel for you tecno
ha. got the F gray... down to 219!
Queenie hyas survived abuse in a former life, now has breast cancer and cushings.
my woof is sulking. she had her summer haircut
me too -- my dogs (as annoying as they can be) are really dear to me.
oh oh, shorn, is she? poor puppy. She'll forget all about it by tomorrow though, and feel a lot better for not having to get the "decorations" pulled out after every walk
she gets really embarrassed and hides for a few days LOL poor babe
Bad spelling, my phone is too busy this morning. I work for a psychiatrist and the dog is well-loved in the office.
my oldest was a rescue also, so we pampered her with food to much, as she was found eating out of a dumpster
ooooo! and hobbit is in the grid! co6!
the 6/21? or a different co6? (not listing yet)
hi peeps
co6/36 :)
my dr. has a little mutt called nurse rosie who escorts patients from waiting room to her office
all this pup talk! i have a few pics of my boy on my profile page
hm. big points, eh? *thinking*
hi monkey!
of course she's worth big points :)
hiya stid!
he's cute, too, monkey!
tecno, that is sooooo cute!!
my boy, levi, is a rescue as well. his whole back end had been crushed, not sure how. but the people that saved him gave him surgery, a wheelchair, and water therapy....angels
he walks funny, like he's wearing high heels in back, but it makes him even that more charming. :)
good morning everyone
awwwwww
hi wyrd1
morning wyrd
oh monkey... poor little guy!
oh monkey, what a wonderfully lucky levi is to have you! :))
hi, all! Some grid today. Stid, how are you?
hi angel
i think i'm more lucky to have him, mr. pres...he's changed my life.
hi angelsong, not all that great today actually, but should be fine tomorrow. You?
hi anel
oops. angel.
I have seen those back end wheel chairs, the dogs that use them are amazing, so brave!
funny enough, whatever happened to my woof, I would do anything for her cause she is worth the world to me and our family :)
yeah tecno, they really are. there's no ego attached so they just go for it! my favorte quote is dh lawrence: "i never met a wild thing sorry for itself"
worked for a humane society for 6 years, even though I was a techie there, not involved with animals much, saw the most amazing things
wow. i'd love to do something like that
okay, I am about to fall asleep. just time for a quick nap before I need to get the kid up for band camp. Back later this evening! *poof*
partly cloudy, here, stid. Arthritis has been a problem this week.
i got my kitty right as someone was taking her to the pound, she was a stray, I loves her
it was the best job, hated to leave it, but had to move
I take my girls to dog camp for a week each year, so much fun!
{{{gentle hugs for angelsong}}} yep. the pain just gets into the bones when it's damp, doesn't it? *poof for real*
for me also, angel, was sunny until this morning, and now can barely move, waiting for morphine to kick in
Hi Babblers.
hey, relarion :-)
moring, relarion!
(you're almost in the grid today!)
all this dog talk, look at all these dog photos!
313 words i be done!
Hi Une, Tec! I am on Orcas Island (WA) for insoection of our home-to-be.
YAY Nono!!!
I haven't been on here for awhile and have forgotten where you get the list of how many words and what they start with is
that would be licketys list mollie
in the links to the bottom
ok, i reverted to my dog pic as well!!
hi everyone
Good morning Stid! Strangest thing happened just now when I first reached for my laptop on waking. Still half asleep I turned to Firefox where I had Jilli's account open from a long time ago wj=hen we were shring a game--I'd forgotten all about that (usuually open on internet explorer) so when I got all exited to see you there I yelled a greeting which you must have thought came from her. Sorry about that. It was I! I've deleted the rogue grid now. And firefox.
hey, greenbay :-)
ok i guess I'm off for now happy babbling to all
bye, nono!
Are you there, Stid?
ty
Stid's in shock because you deleted Firefox.
refresh :) new pic of just shorn hobbit, the co6 spaniel :)
er
Oh, no, wait, that's *me* that's in shock. Sorry, I got confused.
hey hey boys and girls. another long one today, I see.
Good morning everyone else. Just wanting Stid to know I'm safe home and functioning more or less normally (for me, that is)
aaww, such a sweetie, ata! My first dog was a black cocker named Moosie (by my little brother!)

Wow! What is it with these huge grids lately???
just watch out ... something bigger is on the horizon ....
are you serious ata?
ar6= rhymes with knee/ elbow j****
maybe :) just keep a look out one day soon ;)
Well, there is a cat in the house but I always get the feeling she allows us to live here
I thought you were in germany, T&T
Thanks, une, I didn't have that one!
ar6= a+ horse r****
yah, but I am from Oregon, just south of Portland
I live in Germany right now. Husband is in the army
I was living in Springfield, but recently moved to just north of Oakland, OR
where is Oakland? I've never heard of that place. And I've lived in Oregon for 20 years before moving out of state
I know where Springfield is. I grew up in Canby
ok, done! time for bed, it is after 1.00am! good lord! night all
Oakland is about 25 miles north of Roseburg, and we are 15 miles north of Oakland, 15 miles south of Yoncalla, out in the middle of nowhere
I'm going to move to Astoria one day
see you MRP!
okay. I know the general area
Astoria is nice. Floods alot there though
my best friend lives there
why Astoria, Atalante?
floods alot there, and is cold and foggy even most of the summer
best friend lives there and i'm feeling more and more too far away from her
its only cold and foggy because it is the OR coast. its a nice place though
it was gorgeous there in may LOL
i live on the oregon coast, i love it!
I miss it so much
Hi Wyrd! You are south though, it is a little warmer there
probably a bit Tecnogrrl
not so much wind
you actually on the coast Wyrd, or in the bay?
we usually go to Lincoln City/Newport area for vacations
im on the coast...coos bay
lived within the site of the ocean/bay most my life
i cant sleep without hearing the whistle bouy or sea lions!
sounds nice wyrd, I've always been drawn to water
yeah i have to have my water too Tecnogrrl
me too
I have a big pond in my yard : )
but go to the Umpqua about once a week to fish
ooo..love ponds
it's starting to empty as the summer dries it up
no pond here yet, would only have room for a small one, but i do have thousands of plants
we have 5 acres, the pond is about 1/2 acre, in winter it can go to an acre
im thinking of all the water plants i could stick in that
I was looking for water plants the other day, then was told some of them multiply and take over things so didn't get any yet
was thinking of putting them in in weighted down pots now
sure, but you can rip them out occasionally or contain them
papyrus, water lillies..yum!
do water lillies multiply?
yes, but fairly slowly
hmm, that may be an idea. We have a big bullfrog, haven't seen him, but he's loud
plants protect and attract the animals, do you have fish?
no fish, this is our 1st summer here, and not sure if it goes completely dry or not
right, that would be important to know
did everyone go and leave us alone, wyrd?
maybe i bored them with all my plant talk ;)
I doubt that!
lol no
you fascinated them all and they are speechless
right, thats it!
We're here - just working on this enormous puzzle!!
hi Jayde!
Hi:)
I doubt that I will finish this
Wyrd, overcast there today?
65 down, 248 to go!
yes it is Tec, sprinkled this morning
I am about 55 miles directly east
yesterday was hot and muggy though
thats not far Tecnogrrl
that's what I was wondering, supposed to sprinkle here today
Anyone been to Vermont?
no, not too far
drove through vermont once Jayde
If I went 15 miles north and got on hwy 38 I'd end up in Reedsport
It always seems I am the only Vermonter on any forums! Wow! You have, Tecno?
Hi, Wyrd, I just spent three days in Charleston, outside of Coos Bay
Charleston is my home town, i love it there
I lived in Northern PA for a while and we used to go for long weekends
Ahh...where'd you go?
Hi fiber!
It's a real town, and in such a pretty area
Hi, fiber!
I mean, Hi, Tecnogrrl!
Charleston is really the jewel of coos bay, and dont forget to visit the falls up the river sometime too
I hope to get back to Oregon someday. We loved it
well im glad you had a good time Fiber Art
jayde, used to go through there on the way to augusta maine
Oh....
Glad to hear you've been through here. Most people don't even think it's a state!
could have taken the coastal route, but adirondacks are so pretty
that's weird, as far as east coast states go, it's a fairly large one
I know!:) But I couldn't count how many times I've been asked : "You're from Vermont? What state is that in?"
I know your pain, Jayde. I cringe every time someone asks, "Connecticut? Where's that?"
Really?:) LOL
hi guys. holy moly -- two huge ones in a row!
Hence why we are taling about what states we are from Takuma!:) LOL! (I'm stalled at 66)
HI, all. Tecnogirl, where in Northern Pennsylvania did you live? Hi, Takuma, eSeamus, Jayde, Wyrd, Fiber Art and all!
It's value for money month or something. Hello Takuma.
Hello, Haz!
And Scarlet, hello to you as well!
in Mountaintop, the Poconos
I just got back from a trip that involved staying in Burlington for a couple nights. I love it up there
hi there scarlet
Ohmigosh... I grew up in East Stroudsburg, and lived in Honesdale, Wayne County for the last 19 years before moving to Asheville!!
Cool:)
Hi Scarlet!
Missing two 8s......have co8, in8, ir8, & re8.....plz help
Stroudsburg is nice!
I'll probably not chat much -- I've had Difficulties keeping my text boxes straight recently...
I used to go to a ski place right outside of stroudsburg
fireworks!
Congrats, Angel!
YEAH Angel!!!!!!! CONGRATS!
It is huge, now, Tecnogrrl... very overgrown, but the Beaver House is still the best lobster restaurant in the east! Congratulations, Angelsong!
congrats Angelsong!!!!

bye techno
so long, tecnogrrl
hi all ci 8/50 haz not getting it ty
Hi, TO!
TO - there's a roman statesman, also a unit of measurement (ci6/24 - run that into a single number)
hi TO
Thank you, Haz! Finally dawns the light! LOL
It's also a city in Illinois.
ty, the statesman was enough to do it : )
LIkewise!
first ci6 please
ok i can't get lickety and bj's list is not up... :(
It brings back memories of latin class when we had to pronounce the name with a k, rather than a soft c.
which c?
ci6/24 - ci and an anagram of the delicate, though holey material.
thanks Haz
would someone be so kind as to list the r's? not clue them, just list them.
We were taught to pronounce both - poor man sounded like a football.
I had a cat named after that roman statesman ;)
9 ra words, 24 re words, 8 ri words, 6 ro words
ty
brb.. need more coffee
though the cat did not have a chickpea nose...
i have ra6/21;ra5/10, the rest are 4's
missing one ra
ra5/12 - the critter has lost a vowel
Thank you again, Haz!
You're welcome.
ia lso have ri4 X 4; ri6; ri 5 missing one
There are two ri6 words.
i have the adjectival 4/9
that looks like a past tense
Neptune has lost out for the other one.
ty haz
first co5/12 please
You're welcome.
co5/12 - a French short story - put a consonant into the ice-cream holder just before the end.
thanks Haz
You're welcome, pabtrek.
hi all
Hello peri.
i thought the co7 that followed was related, but i don't see how, help please
hi peri
hi peri
It's not related. co7/36 is a small Welsh boat - or think of it as c plus the one who knew all the answers at Delphi.
if you can excoriate, why can't you coriate???
i thought i kept seeing that boat, but didn't put it in, thanks Haz
You're welcome, pabtrek.
LOL, TO... I wanted "re-di4/5"... I do it the garden all the time...
ah haz - a tw-fer clue!
I told you it was value for money month!
So glad I'm on board now... love a bargain!
i mane, how can you excoriate unless you first coriate?
it pays to keep one's eye on the chat!
can't believe i got the ct
there is a ct?
Yes, Fiber... I'd be at sea on some grids if I didn't watch and dig at the same time!
There is a ct.

Happy Birthday Caitlyn Many Happy Returns
Good afternoon EvaNadine!
Thank you all
And happy birthday caitlyn!
I can't remember name of base. Near Frankfort
working from my non-AC home, had the AC guy come out, and the roofers are walking + hammering all over the place... so needless to say, im SUPER-productive. ;)
Birthdays were never a big deal to me, and then I hit 60 nearly two years ago, and thought "Holy cow... I'm getting up there!" LOL
oh okay. we are a 4 hour train ride from Frankfurt
Grandson is soon to go on second tour of Iraq
So there is hope of air-conditioning being a reality again?
my husband leaves in a couple of months
is he part of the strykers?
Scarlet, someone asked me how old I am yesterday. It's something I like to forget
Toads, he's in the transportation unit

all companies/regiments have transportation units. my husband is in a medical unit. he is part of the 2nd Stryker Calvery Regiment
Exactly, caitlyn... that makes me laugh... walking the edge with Babble... how benign can we be?
Oh no! Fans instead as a temporary measure, Eva?
Sometimes I get up in the night to play Babble.
heh, theyve been running non-stop for 2 months!
same here, fiber
Poor you!
Good luck to you and your husband, toad. I'd like to see them safely home.
babble's a great time-killer when insomnia strikes
Its a terrible addiction Fiber ..is there a help line anywhere ?
germany doesn't have AC anywhere. not even in hospitals
Ack!
2 fr5/16?
thank you fiber
I agree, Fiber Art and Takuma... no phones, noise, nor any type of interruption!
Yes, one is jolly and religious, the other is hot and in a kitchen
I used to be an artist. Now I look for stupid words
de7 please
Hahahhahah, Fiber... but this IS artistic...
damn i keep forgetting that pirate letter!
If you say so.
de7/52 - sounding like the actor knight, Jacobi, spell it differently and it is used in the oil industry.
Er, what, TO? Lost again...
it's just hanging out on the fringe, with its useless siblings
pabtrek, it is what you call the oil setup out in the ocian
*ocean that is
afternoon haz hope you are well i am dead chuffed with myself i actually got that ct word by myself!!!!
Thank you, Haz and Aloyisius!

bye Haz, thanks for all the help
Hi everyone...just started Babble yesterday....guess I chose a tough two days to start on!!!
Anyway, my question is, what do you get if you go for pro that's different from the standard?
you certainly did, waltzin... welcome to Babblemania!
Thanks...
ohmygosh, andy, you really did! LOL
oh, boy, waltzingandy. You sure did pick them!
hi waltz, but the fact that you're back shows you are already addicted, welcome to the club
goodmorning all
Yea, I thought I might be OK at this, but the last two have been a humbling experience:)
waltz, you get lickety's clues - which gives you the first two letters of all words
Addicted - may be...a sucked for punishment - sure!
also get the point count which helps
finally... fireworks below the grid! (-:
waltz, you can see the clues without going pro BUT you DO get to create your own icons!
WTG Aloy
Oj, that explains all the questions people ask:) Wondered what all that was about!
lickety's is a must on big grids like this
oh, thanks Une, I didn't remember that
anyone need a clue before I go?
i need 79 clues, aloy!
btw, any clues for wr5/20 please

going to Vancouver for the Canada Day weekend
flosey, it is to put down a tile floor... again
:-) stidkid#2 yesterday said he hates math... I hope he was just doing it for dramatic effect, since he actually "gets" it!
thanks aloy
what fun, flosey!
yvw
yes, 2 daughters there
Stidkid #2 is probably venting his frustration. More praise for success may be warranted.
one of these days I hope to get to Vancouver.. I here about how beautiful it is there
Point out that ALL math is pounding your head into a wall until something gives.
it is aloy, but if you get that far you also have to come to Salt Spring Island
that was my thought too -- trying to think how we will spice up 6th grade math to make it interesting...
*hear that is... gheez, I can't spell!
LOL no wonder I always get headaches when I do math!
Chili powder can spice up anything
yes Aloyisius, and if you go to SSI, I will come up with the kids and meet you there!
I'll write that down, flosey... my bro has a place in Whistler, so eventually I will be in the area... sounds super, stid!
flosey, I AM bringing the kids up next month by the way...
is there a bridge to SSI or do you take a ferry?
going to stay with hetty and Jill -- not sure how we'll divvy up the space...
ferries, Aloyisius, but it's so gorgeous that the ride is fun!
unlike the ferry rides in puget sound which are drudgery...
... and a good time of the year to go is in the summer, I guess..
July, August, September are beautiful months in the Pacific NW Aloy
HI all
hi Peri
Early October is also usually very nice. You take your chances after that, or in June.
hi peri!
it was rainy when ciocia Judy was here.
hi peri... and toodle ooh to all.. I really must scoot.. see you all next grid.. wonder if it will be another "biggee"? (-:
later Aloyisius! have a beautiful day!

have to leave to shower, etc. back while hair drying
have dr. appt
later flosey
good news, flosey... *poof"..
riemann -- you still there? I need an E from each of the three on the right to have one from each tile... *whine whine*
If you applaud enough, I might do an e6.
found one from the bottom right E...
*APPLAUSE for RIEMANN*
(and thanks)
Math people have lots of rules. Sometimes I even issue e5's
stid...did you get the royal decree e5?
*happy smile* my goal is now met. thanks dan and riemann!
my stats are going to go way down after the last couple days... wasn't going to even start yesterday, then a stidkid helpfully typed in some "starters" for me. *sigh* oh well, contributed to my total points at least!
down to the end, and getting weary. Any help for the in 8 and /or ic 8
guten tag, liebe inge!
in8 - use the co10, remove the co
Stid, anytime either Stidkid actually helps from good intentions, give much thanks.
ic8 - add on to the ic6
in 8: an occurrence. after an accident, police file an in8 report
(it's my only 8, but I found it myself...)
thanks for the ic8 doxy!
thanks ladies I got two from that one!
yw
bbl
wow, thanks for the ten also!
yw stid
my top right tile is now gray!
still looking for the ic 6 and 8
ic 6: build of the word that holds your image...
ic4+bad feeling sound=6, add man's name for 8
is there more than one ic 6?
yep. ic6 - what hangs from the roof in the winter
yes stid...both ic6/24
okay, then time for the list! thanks!
I have a real problem with the webpage. The whole thing never shoes. I have to keep shifting the grid, the chat and the resources constantly, Takes forever
ok back for about an hour - 70 more to get
but i think we both clued the same one
yep we did
I have the same problem inge

ac=a rooster
thnks dna!
don't have the ar yet stid
monkeyed the AR 6... A tile is gray!
ar6/18=a biker (or a+biker)
*DAN -- dumb figners... LOL
the ar 6/18 is a sort of babblet... ar + the stuff you put on boo-boos and rashes to make them better, first four letters
okay, have to head out. see you-all later!
(I meant ar6/21 is a biker) sorry!
thanks stid, got it
oc aaapaleas
sorry oc please
oc5 - like the do6 (using the k) without the d
what's wrong with careth ? they accept other biblical spellings
they accept a lot of things that I am surprised about, and don't accept others that should be. Who knows???
lol
I dont like this grid. I dont like it at all!!
I like this one better than yesterday's
must say it's looking a lot better this morning than it did last night
16 to go and my mind is blank. Will do my hair for tonight and come back later.
233 to go! LOL! not gonna happen!
it's still early jayde
You think?
It's 1:22 p.m. here
And I leave at 4:00

Heheheheheeeee....ummmmmmmm....no:)
Okay, yes - you caught me
lol
LOL - it's the only time I get on here.
It's been kinda slow lately
hey, if you have breaks now and then, why not
Yeah, good way to look at it
so you are on eastern time? Canada or US?
Probably why I never finish one of these - not enought time. US - I live in Vermont
ah, beautiful state
Why thank you, I think so too!:)
bye for now
Canada is beautiful as well

Hey y'all from NC, US!

hello darin
Howdy darin
hello Darin
wait, ren, were you leaving? lol, i'm confused
Morning all. Can I get a clue for the ce7?
Or the ci7?
the very last co 6/21 anyone please?
Im not leaving, thought you were going to do the wall
no, just came in here for a break from the wall, before going back! hehe
Oh I see, sorry for the confusion
gotta let my arms rest in a downward position for a bit
I'm new to this; what do your abbreviations mean (co 6/21)?
ci 7 is ci + two hook letters + I alreade *** breakfast today
ci *?
starts with co, is 6 letters long and 21 points.
ahhh.. gotcha
ci 8 that is
ce 7 is to be sure of something
clues can be found lower left corner, under "friends of babble" click on the link "lickety's babble clues"
point system is explained in the help button above this chat box
COOL
thanks, y'all. That helps a lot.
lol, welcome
there really isn't a word that starts with ct? It's Welsh right?
what's the length on that bichon? i'll look for it for you
So... does someone usually get all the words?
bichon it is a tool used to scale fish..
a lot of us like to do the grid till we've found all the words. this is a pretty big one, normal average size is 100-175
no, I found the word by looking it up. How they every came up with it I don't know
darin...lots of people finish a smaller grid (100-200 words), fewer finish one this size
cool
ah. I see. I was wondering.
I looked ct up on Wikipedia and that is the definition I got
what's the length and points on that ct word?
I play a lot of Weboggle, and this is a really neat game too - but more long term and less time-based, which is nice.
there are some here who do weboggle as well
ct7/36 feather
darin, some of us are very ill and need interventions or 12 step programs (hi, feather, etc.)
the grid changes at midnight, chat time.
oh crud, thanks dan
LOL dorens
lol, "hi dorens...my name's feather and i'm a babbler."
hi, my name is darin, and I"m addicted to online word games.
darin, check out www.quote-puzzler.com. 9 different word puzzles, changed daily.
i had major dental surgery today, just got back, am on loads of ddrugs, but here i am. with a grid this sie i never should have started. but here i am
ooh. Thx feather!
Do the drugs help?
oh, that should be fun dorens. can we mess with you?
looks like a am passing through at the right time. My name is MOM and I am a babbleoholic
the novocaine is still in the system., so we'll find out. but i'm certainly not feeling stessed!!
"hi mom"
if anybody would like to have one more addiction, play scrabble live with people from all over the world, one on one at ISC
hi, mom
afternoon everyone and Welcome Darin
scrabble live? aw jeez.
i do that at the atari site esprit, or used to!
Hi Feather
Darin, new members are in charge of supplying treats
sure, mess all yu want.. you notice i'm not typing as well as i could be, who cares, who needs to correct errors.
?
lol, lookit us, all reeling poor darin in, hooking him on yet more word games
thx, mom. of course the last thing I need is more addictive games. but I love scrabble
Hi Darin
treats? that could get expensive.
hehe dorens
Yes, but we'd be ever so grateful
note - I'm female (Thai name)
We hope to see you here a lot.
oh, thanks for saying that darin, i was thinking male
I appreciate the welcome
large majority here is female, but we do get the occasional token guy. (dan, still here?)
No prob. funny story: freshman year in college, roommate assigned to me was male.
oops.
oh no!
ooh.. wasd he cute?
no, more's the pity.
;-)
oh darn.
off with his head!
lol
darn, so close to having "ocelot" here
I'm very tolerant, as you will notice
I'm a token, Feather? Darn! I thought I was Stupendous Man!
dan, dan stupendous man!
Hi Dan
hee, thought you might still be around! gotta admit, you're pretty outnumbered!
hi, dan. nice to meet you.
Most of the time Feather, most of the time.
It's nice to meet you too, darin.
and as you can see darin, half the fun is in the chat here too! one of the best chat's i've ever been on. we brook no nonsense from trolls, and are very supportive of each other.
ec7 please?
truly a cool bunch of peoples
meanwhile, my word finding has slowed down a ton right now.
seems like most of the trolls have gone off to Summer Troll Camp
I'll be in and out most of the day...Boss is back from vacation today, and i need to LOOK like I'm working!
if i do say so myself
Sorlry Pigeonmna, I don't have it
for the life o fme I cannot find the third 7/36 (right after what grows on reefs). Please help me
Sorry*
assume that's co7/36 inge?
just a wonderful group of people here in Babbleland
it's a welsh boat
that should help a LOT
welsh again. sheesh.
fooey, 2 phone calls used up all my time, bbl
ec 7 is a dessert with cream filling
bye flosey
this does sound like a fun place.
think of the Or**** at Delphi and put a c in front of it
right feather, I wen to clue the ec word
bye bye Flosey
welsh boat?
but thanks for that ec
what a find for me! (as more even more time gets sucked into the internet)
I have three 7's left. Could I get a clue for any or all of them? ec7, re7,36, and la7.
hope to see a lot of you darin, you seem very nice!
Well, there is something to be said for communal addiction. We've all been there. Or we're there now. You know.
*waits with bated breath for 7s clues*
la+co5/14
You need them also feather?

well where is the co 7/36??? do we need a new clueing crew?
ty esprit, that gave me the c word too
i'm just starting the c's now inge, sorry
c07/36 addictive narcotic
(nods) it takes getting used to. i once showed up to a research lab to learn some techniques, and the person waiting for me never noticed me because she thought I'd be a male
Any clues for the ec7 or the re7,36?
you have the one like a certain shape?
builds off the 5/14 above it
have it now
ec 7 is a desert with cream filling, pigeonman
shoot, 2pm here. gotta go finish that wall! i'll be back soon!
Isn't that ec6?
nice chatting, feather
later feather.
I also should run, but I'll be back around
thanks for the great welcome, guys!
see yu later darin
haha... i was looking for the od and kept putting in id but not getting anything and it was driving me crazy. I'm such a dork
I am back, hi all
has mrp been on lately, what is the plan?
ec6 is indeed the dessert, ec7/40 could be described as the destruction of the environment, or death to all things green.
the ec 7 is the death of the trading parctice
ci 6/24, have the roman one. and ci 8 please
mr. P posted teh date of her opration in her icon
hello peri and Haz, Im off for dinner now, see you after my beef stew and mashed potatoes
ci6/24 - ci plus an anagram of what you tie shoes with.
Hello ren - eat well!
okay I will check
ci8 - use the Roman statesman as the base, run in a single number.
thanks for the ci8 clue, Haz, clever as always
I'm just not seeing the ec7. Can it be clued for the simple minded?
You're welcome, peri - glad it worked.
pigeonman - the ec7 - ec, a vowel, the ending which denotes murder (fratri**** for brother, for instance)
Thanks Haz.
You're welcome.
One more clue? re7,36?
re7/36 nearly did for me - combine a colour and a garment.
thanks haz!
thnaks haz
You're welcome - I NEVER see that one, though it has appeared before.
ahah, tjamks haz. i think that is what our ancestors called your ancestors ((altho they weren't my ancestors, mine came her much later from other places)
clarion
sorry
No wonder they lost the war, wearing such bright garb!
sorry for my unreadable typing. the drugs are taking over. i'm going to nap now... see ou later
Have a nice nap, Dorens.
Thanks again. Even with that excellent clue, it took me awhile. Off for a break. 19 to go.
See you later!
1st te5/10please
and te6/18 please
hi again, any clues for ec7 please
te number and 3 vowels
te5/10 - add a couple of vowels to a number, and make it a latin plural for te6
ec7 - clued earlier as sounding like environmental murder - ec a vowel and the murderous ending (as in homi****)
thanks haz
thanks flosey and haz
You're welcome.
alright gonna go do something else for awhile.. in hopes my brain will function again soon
Bye toad.
ci 8?
Hi Haz, are you my salvation?? I need only 5 words, which are driving me crazy. the worst is re 7/36 between rec amd red. Please help
i nee both co 7/36's please
inge - that drove me distracted as well - re7/36 - begin with the colour, end with an overgarment.
bichon -if you have the ci6 (Roman statesman/town in Illinois) run in a single number to get ci8
thansk Haz, that was a hangup two dasy aaog as well.
co7/36 - is a shape, or co7/36 - a small boat, used especially by Welsh fishermen
Now is would like the third co 7/36 please
Glad to help, inge.
The welsh boat is the third co7/36 - the first is the highly addictive drug, the second the shape, the third the boat.
Hi new member here
the last co 6/21?
Hello kapeek - hope you enjoy the game!
cannot find the boat, any further help available?
welcome, meg!
google welsh boat
love it thnx Haz
The last co6/21 - a Scots valley
co7 - c plus the person who knew all the answers at Delphi
Hi all....clue please for de7/52?
