Congrats CsC
yay csc
can you list the 8s for me please csc??
i guess thats what you get when you ignore us chatters - you get to finish first lolol
kiwi, the ae8/9 combo has to do with space travel
thanks, all
yes fran just checking lol
u mean clues, imdone? (for the 8's)
just stats will do for now thanks csc
oh duh! sorry, short term memory not what it used to be. :-)
not ignoring, groovy...but i also don't pay the closest of attention to it either while looking for words, unless i get really stuck
time to go, good luck all
bye mva!
good to see you MVA take care bye
bye, MVA
k, imdone, 8's stats are as follows: ae 8/45 (plural 9/60), de 8/50, re 8/45, and ou 8/55
thanks csc
yw
tssssssss smokey, i'm bad at this
hey nok
dang 284 words
hiya
it's a little challenging at first, but you'll get the hang of it...you forget that i've seen how you are at tangleword, lol
woot! 4 down 280 to go!
i always get the easy words, then can't find anything else! don't know a lot of the obscure ones too :\
yeah me either
sometimes if there are words that i cant find i go to the dictionary... how sad is that
founder, i have ka x 2, ko x 4, kr x 5, can you tell me which one i'm missing?
haha, tis not sad.
no pun intended, but i've noticed a lot of the tangle words are used very often in here, and the rest, for the most part, are ones i usually see used in wizword, so that's been helpful
3 ka's, 4 ko's, 5 kr's
third ka, fran
that's called using all your resources trustn01, it's what you have to do here.
thanks jellen!
fran, do u want stats or clues on those words?
found it, thanks anyway founder.
well this sucks
276 left and im stuff
stuck*
k, np
just the first two letters were what i was looking for.
Could I have a clue for an ep word?
btw, just for those who are unaware...i refer to trustn01 as nok and she refers to me as smokey, as those are the names we are familiar with at cascade, another word game
Have you been recruiting for Babble, CsC?
hey, csc, do you play weboggle at all?
ep 5/14 (and plural 6/24) - ep + doing something, i.e. in movies
i have no EP words jellen *off to search*
ty, CsC
thanks founder
not really, jell...but i was mentioning the game the other day while playing cascade and nok was there, so i told her a little bit about the game
wallyj - don't think so, but i have played boggle online before
:)
for as much as i like word games though, ironically enough, i hate scrabble, lol...online anyway; offline, i rather enjoy playing it
Welcome, nok
thx jellen :)
u got a link for cascade csc? i havent seen it before
it's over at www.iwin.com
thnx
where are my manners? welcome to babble nok!
free sign up/registration, and there are other word games there too, including tangleword which is exactly like this game except that games/rounds range from 30 seconds to 5 minutes, depending on what room you're in (the goal for tangle is to get the highest score, not all of the words like it is for this game)
thx fran! :)
cool
did you ever play spelldown, smokey? arrrrrhh.. that can go on for way too long
i know i've played it, but forget which game it is
csc, weboggle is a lot like tangleword, high score wins, 4x4 or 5x5 grid, 3 min.
yay finished the Cs!!!
woohoo lore!
yay lore!
co
hi helen!
was playing spelldown...couldn't remember if i had played it after i gave it a second thought (was confusing it with spellbinder)...but played it again, and yes i have played it, nok...that's the kind of game that usually bores me, as i like games where there is some kind of direct competition (which is also why i don't like playing solo in cascade)
hey fran!
sorry to lurk, been filling in grid
i was just trying to put a few words in here quietly - goofed that up, i see & i'm almost 1/2 way too, yay !
lol, it
least to me)
it's always funny when that happens hk (at least to me)
i'm falling off my chair here
darn laptop keyboard!
wait, but it's not cause i'm laughing, lol, okay, well maybe now, hahahaha
yup, bores me too. even with other people in cascade, it still gets boring unless there's good competition
checked out weboggle, wally...just got done playing a round, and yes i have played it before...think i found the game about a month ago and played a few...but i also like the chat feature in games i play, and since weboggle doesn't have that, i didn't stick with it
any1 know if Babble Expert has been updated with today's grid?
i agree, nok...although, i'm getting sick of cascade altogether. It's few and far between with good competition. Once you take you, me and dead out of the mix, there really isn't anyone that even comes remotely close to our level. We need the old players to come back to the game, lol
Yes, Tecno
i'm pretty sure it is tecno, lickety was here earlier
hmm, can't get it to refresh again...
up to 150 - good nite everyone
g'night, helen
night helen!
yesss.. need the old players back - mull, sharirs, adam, n the rest hah. i can't get sick of cascade! i usually end up back there, or just have it running in the background whilst doing other things. i can't be bothered chatting there much anymore though.
g'night helen! wow, 150 is quick!
well done helen nitey nite
going to do Grannys As now lol
that was weird...my chat wouldn't enter in
there's always a hiccup at 2:oo am babble time
morning all, hope you are all well
hi ren!

hi, ren
and the re8!
ahh...there goes babexp refresh...must be that hiccup that refreshes it!

I've never heard that term, lynxxx.
not here lynx
not here lynxxx
Good morning
hi, Liz
hi pink! hi liz!
hello liz :)
Good morning everyone
Should have Googled it before - our duvets are called Doona...registered Brand name in Australia but has become common usage - so now I know
hi, JFB
:)

Look at the state I'm in!
Poor JFB! Welcome back!
JFB - we missed you
hahaha, thx
Hi JFB!
I don't normally attack 200+ grids on a work day but I had to today
Good to see you JFB
we understand JFB lol
evening everyone! :)
MRP! howdy!
could only manage 338 so far, lol
hello MrP!! hows it going?
hi, mrp!
Hi mrp!
hi tecno & jellen & lore & chic et al! things are good thanks! my holiday is just lovely (with the kids) and just popped by to say hi and check out if it is a toughie or easy enough grid :))
hello mrp :)
hi granny :)
glad to see you're enjoying the holiday!
Glad you had a good holiday mrp - it will set you up for 18th
am getting closer to that, but feeling ok as I am away from the everyday! :)
i'd say it's between easy enough to toughie, mrp...not as easy as yesterday's, but that was beyond easy so that's not really comparable
Must go now - bbl
oh! and I missed doing yesterdays grid! bugger ;)
hey MRP
hi mrp! hi granny!
hi lynxx and fran :)
Time for critter care and bed. Have a good grid, everyone!

bye liz!
oops, kier said a word!
bye Liz
(in a different form though)
well i'll be...
i will say that out of all the word games i've played or do play, this one seems to have the most diverse group of players in terms of where everyone's from
disappeared, now I'm back!
yes, isn't that cool founder?
well i came i saw i got 15 words and now my narcolepsy strikes and i must go to bed =(
sleep well kier!
nitey nite kier

hi all :) hi lore - wasn't that race amazing, even if alinghi did win!
hi ata!
can someone give me a clue for the re8/45, please? my last word.
Hello Ata!! sure was so close hey
ATA! Hello!
sorry broll not there yet
broll, it's just like the de8
thank you very much! fireworks, and now sleep!
yay broll!
YEAH BROLL!
nj broll
g'night broll...
founder, i have ae8, de8 and re8, what does the other 8 start with?
Congarts Broll
woopee broll nitey nite
ou 8/55
I have no 8's
thanks
if u want a clue for it, let me know
got it! thanks again.
yw
would you like clues tecno?
could use some RE's, I have 1, the 4/5 at top of list
hmm, don't have many REs myself, but i have re8/45, don't mess with mother ******
and to mend a hole in your pants again, re7
cya smokey
bye nok! see you again
ae 8/45 (plural 9/60) - another term for a spaceman; de 8/50 - de + world of living things; re 8/45 - re + world of living things; ou 8/55 - opposite of in + slang term for heist (usually reference in bank heists)
later nok
and re5, put clothes on again
these e's are all in the wrong place
i know what you mean ata
CSCD, FRAN, I should leave, don't get a single 1 of the clues
i keep trying to do near
re + to put your car somewhere while shopping
some re words: re 5/14 (plural 6/24) - re + snip; re 5/12 - re + mafia boss; re 6/24 (plural 7/36) - blood color + opp. of in; re 6/33 - re + swings and slide setting; re 7/40 - re + a small piece of cloth; re 6/24 - re + homophone of opposite of rich
well the REs build on the front of other words, just put RE in front of everything you find. :-)
the "world of living things" is stumping me
those are all the actual re prefix words, but there are other regular re words besides those
tec - instead of mother earth, it might be called mother ******
Morning all I've made myself quite dizzy going round in cirles to find words and I tripped over a couple of times zig zagging about! Didn't help being word blind too!
hi FM!
Hi Franie
are you okay now? :-)
morning FMitch
HI FM, Same here....
goodmorning FM - take it easy, you'll do yourself an injury
I still don't get it, CsCdeF
Good morning/evening all. A twisty grid warning? I'd better stock up on sea-sickness tablets.
lol equilibrium has returned. Hi lynxxx, Tecno, lore and Morning Haz.
how about ****** vs. nurture tecno?
hi haz!
morning everyone
hello haz and fmitch :)
hi jakes-mum!
Morning Haz!
goodmorning Haz
morning Jakes Mum
and jakes-mum :)
and JakesMum, good morning
got that 1, Fran..thanks!
Hello there - looks nice a bit more work ahead than yesterday's afforded.
that was a better clue, fran...g1
now put an RE in front of it, and de8 is the same.
Hi haz, JM
thanks founder. :-)
grannym, greetings Haz, I found it very h4/6, quite a work out.
hi FM...finally figured out how to show the woodburning pics to you if u still want a chance to see them (it was of course easy to figure out but took me forever to remember how to do it, lol)
Thanks for the warning!
sure CsCd, canyou post the url here?
[[[loves HAZ'S desserts!]]]
They're but a memory now, Tecno!
sure, just give me a second
to bad, they look delish!
No complaints were received.
I am DYING for something sweet, have nothing, so it will be cheese
How have you been Haz, not had the chance to catch up with you this week.
haz has promised to fedex cakes to all of us sometime.
(well, not really, but we are still hoping)
I've been fine, FMitch - still helping to clear that house. We keep finding more cupboards, stuffed with stuff.
FranMag, anything is possible in a virtual world.
I don't even have ice cream...
just so u know, a lot of the pics are duplicates, but just taken at different angles or distances...after u click on the URL, just click on View Pictures, then click the first picture and you can slideshow it or whatever u want to go thru the rest...
:-) *crossing fingers*
here's the url: http://cscdefounderpics.shutterfly.com /action/
Gosh, it's turned into quite a mamoth task Haz maybe the eusive Renoir will be at the back of the last cupboard! Cheers CsCd
We found some nice jewellery yesterday, they looked like 1930's, but no Renoir as yet.
Love the dog w/firehose!!!!!
I watched some tennis last night as well. Such screamers!
you do cremation URN boxes, CsCde?
thanks, tec :)
CsCd, there are some lovely designs in there. The herbs on page 2 and the teddy shelf on p1. Will have a longer look later today. Thanks.
i looked too founder, i liked the herbs too and the puppy wagging its tail.
no on the urn boxes, though...most are just done on whatever strikes my fancy but usually just regular plaques...once in awhile, i'll do a design on something a little different (i.e. the teddy shelf, which i used for a candle at one point or small figurines)
ahh...a couple looked like boxes, but wasn't sure
Thee was actually some tennis played yesterday Haz? Miracles do happen then :)
the herbs/spices one is one of my favorites and is also the first one i ever did...probably 10-15 years ago, now that i think about it
Yes, I think they only had one interruption. One men's doubles match finally finished 28 26 in the final set. They weren't doing anything to move things along!
do you use a laser, or is it wood burning?
used to do it myself, along w/ leather work
Time for coffee BRB
tec - if you're referring to the box that's on page 4, that's a recipe box (or at least that's what it was used for), but it really could've been used for anything...that was done with woodburning, but the fruit design was some kind of water copying method (forget what the exact name of it is called; only used it 3 times)
63 left for tomorrow. good night everyone!
and yes, it is woodburning for all of them
nite fran, take care
Good night FranMag, see you again.
nitey nite fran
nite Fran
the woodburning I did for a very short time got to my eyes, the fumes and burning so I quit...But you are good!
see ya Fran!
thanks...i understand about the fumes getting to the eyes...i haven't really woodburned anything in the last year or two; not for the burning eyes reason though
Returns to desk with caffine fix. Bye Fran.
why did you stop?
the sort of condensed version would be: my stepdad is the one who got me into woodburning and when he died when i was younger, i stopped for a few years. I picked it back up again in my late teens and stuck with it for a few years but then started running out of room to put them all. Started doing them occasionally after that, but then when my mom died last November, I stopped doing it altogether.
I see...that will do it, CsDe...I don't know your age, but you will pick it up again
Understandable that ones creative talent would take a back seat for a while.
i recently turned 26, tec, and for right now, i have no yearning desire to pick it back up, but who knows down the line...maybe someday i will want to get back into it
Am guessing you are Male? probably will pick it up in another 10 years
BBL with a nice round 100 to find
Good going lynxxx TTFN
see ya lynxxx!
See you later lynxxx.
clue AU's?
I see a glow....
I see more than one glow.
Yes, I see Romans glowing.
yes tec, i am a guy, but don't see what that has to do with the 10 years thing
is that the brain cells working in overdrive? :P
Well...CsCde...never mind
Morning Ata!! possible meltdown in N.Ireland?
It could be, Atalante. All that twisting and turning has upset the balance.
still stuck on glowing AU's
it's all to do with the space/time continum thingy *giggles* babble world bumps into real world and whammo.
au4 and its latin plural au5.
not sure what u were getting at, but okie dokes
Tecno some people believe that we all emit an au** of light around us.
spaniel emit an au** of helplessness too
*spaniels
GOT IT FM!!! but not the AU5
just add a vowel, tec
latin? ending to make it pl i.e. add another vowel
got 'em both...TY!
Ata, bee sting a distant memory now?
I thought it was spelled different though
:)
my arm *still* hurts! and the stab site has gone all puffy and horrid. you really wanted to know that, didn't you!
did you go to ER ATA?
nope, going to dr this week though to report
Away to the Dr's then Ata for a quick course of something. Go on, no procrastination!
yes Ata do as FMitch as ordered!!!
LOL
yeah yeah I will, don't worry
this week...as in today? Friday?
ummm whenever i can get an appointment!
which will probably be tomorrow now
love your sunset, FM!
so do some other people :P
Thanks Tecno, it's been my icon since I started babbling almost 2 yrs ago
LOL Ata ;)
is it for real, FM?
I think it has been "enhanced" I have seen some amazing sun set/rises but nothing quite like this one.
well, I think anything you find on the web has been enhanced/altered
especially women
Urgh 15 mins and then I have have to poof, 2 projects with deadlines looming.
ha ha...not me! I am what I am....
what sort of projects, FM?
me so noseee....
Work stuff Tecno to do with training courses. One of which is MBTI based stidmama would love that one.
Wow, moon is up!
haven't seen Stid or Herin lately!
Ata I am pushing on with work to try and create some time to start sketing out Hobbit's poppy field, am quite excited about it.
*sketching
oh wonderful!!! It really was an amazing field
I is tires....cam
Is it still flowering like the pics?
oops, can't babble when sleepy!
well that was last week ... so it should be pretty much still the same, the poppies are still out in other places
maybe time for zzzzzz then Tecno?
will enter a few more....then gone
yup, FM 2:22 am here
there are far too many phantoms here
Extracting myself out of the twists and folds of the grid I bid adieu. Bye Ata and all, scanning the horizon for Haz, she must be buried deep in the words. Happy Babbling.
byeeee!
finally, I got some words!
yay!
think I'll quit now...some of this is getting to me...!
good idea lol
hello
hi fellow cockerette!
lol Ata
FM - Haz said hi from yesterday
later...***poof*** I'm gone!
I guess I missed FM then
she muttered something about work ...
oh well she'll be back
hows your little furry friend doing after all her troubles at the vets?
oh yes
oh she's fine! glucosamine has *really* been a godsend, she's hardly limped at all since taking those tablets. she definitely seems less stiff in that back leg
oh brilliant! I am pleased for her
Those vets really are wonder workers, aren't they?
yup I wouldn't be without mine
I'm back for a minute or two - dropped out of conversation thanks to a phone call, then decided to get civilised looking.
wheres your piccy of spangle gone Haz?
FM was looking for you again
Spangle was temporarily misplaced, I'll get her back...
for a price you wouldn't believe! their fees are the talk of all towns ... ;) *grins* yes, vets are FAB
is your dog insured Ata?
ohhhhh yes
one of mine is, but not the other
it just seemed a sensible thng to do
ha ha hobbit's under my desk snoring her little head off
Both mine would be but my little cocker was born blind and the premiums were going to be sky high
oh gosh, yes I'm sure!
It's strange how a dog snoring is so much more acceptable than a husband making roughly the same noise.
they really can snore these cockers cant they?
LOL Haz - TOTALLY!!!
LOL oh yes!!
It's even stranger that the husband can find the noise of a dog snoring incredibly objectionable.
I'd settle for any sleep at the moment, snoring or not!!
Ear plugs, Liz. The industrial strength ones.
Ah yes, but then I'd be arrested for child abuse! Its the baby keeping me awake at the moment LOL
Oh, then I should bestow all sorts of unwanted advice on you.....
And I would, of course, heed you!!!!!
Just as i did in my character building bable yesterday LOL
You would humour me, I'm sure, say all the right soothing phrases.
Of course I may have fallen asleep at the keyboard by then...
Oh dear, is it that bad?
Just one bad night thats all. She's normally pretty good at night
although my mind is totally shot as I keep entering words I already typed in!
Just a little blip then to make you grateful for normality.
I have such a normal life! LOL
Welcome to my world, Liz, the happy world of the over-forties with the memory loss. What game is it we're playing?
Chatting away as I do with my mate Toyah...
Hey!! Hold your horses !!! I have two years to go yet
Toyah - is that the spanner throwing ex-pop singer?
She wields a mighty spanner for sure
Where's Ata gone? Shall we give her a nudge?
Not attacked by another killer bee, I hope.
*waves a large packet of antihistamines in Ata's direction*
I'm here!
ac 7/36 pl....I'm not awake yet.....Good morning everyone.....
just lurking tiredly!
That's a relief.
LOL Ata, how is the bite today?

Not asking for a clue yet, but is the ca 7/40 a "normal" word?
It's not used in my world everyday.
And the dictionary fails to come up with a definition.
Nor mine.
Okay. Switching to periforal visionary mode..... Thank ye muchly.
ca + a scuttling bug.....not a normal word
know you weren
weren't looking for a clue, but finally one I could give........
***sigh*** LOL pida. No worries. I couldn't slide chat over in time, so I steal it with much gratitude. :-)
yw
Crazy word.
I don't know - I reckon some of those stretch limos could use the term.
I suspect it's drug related. Smoking pot on the highway maybe?
A driving instructor?
It's a stoopid word. Sounds like a sneeze, or exclamation of pain
LOL Haz
or maybe a sound a drunken frog would make
Okay, I googled it. It's a variant spelling of another word, for carriage.
Frenchmen never get drunk. They drink with too much style....
LOLOL Esprit
meant an amphibeous frog :-)
That makes sense, Lori, French for carriage is very similar.
heh heh heh
It makes sense now Haz. Variant spellings in babble, what are the odds. Always educational......
I always say, good thing I don't have to be able to define these words. I'd be toast.
Speaking of toast - I guess it's lunch time! Back later.
Enjoy your lunch Haz.
bye Haz enjoy your lunch:)
G'd morning jean. I missed 'yer arrival (I think)

Yup, I work from 11-6. And there are no kiddies to make rounds on, so I have extra time this AM.
just popping off a bit !
hehe, you had a dream about me the other night, i had a dream about nutty last night!
i was sunbathing on the beach at the ocean, and she was a few towels away.
Was it a pirate dream?
well, it was near the ocean!
Maybe the ship was anchored out there and you didn't see it. She was probably relaxing after sending some mates off the plank.
yep, i bet that was it
phantom = paunch
great. washing daniel's lovey, didn't think he'd want it this am. of course he does, and is now very ticked.
Daniel will have to be patient, and then he will have a clean lovey to snuggle with.

I am typing away and enjoying it until I hit the wall.
the wall came a little past halfway for me
good morning all
Hi Flosey

No slef-flagellation in Babble, but we can hit one another with fish, so watch out pigeonman, here comes a trout
Sprite, did you see du5? I thought of you.
Ah. Trout are ok. But the salmon are running right now. Next time, hit me with one of them.
laundry, brb
and Scrabbler. Yes, I did see it, good to see it in a grid.
du7?
12 k's eh sprite, there are also 12 re's
*hits random people with some mahi mahicos I found some to buy today*
oh, thanks for the reminder feather, put a load thru last night and forgot to get them into the dryer

Grazie, Une!!!
an6 is a kind of Alaskan parka
Oh crap. I don't have three sixes left, I have thirteen. :-(
LOL!
thanks Unae.....
yw, scrabbler!
ca6/21 - plural of the vegetable sounding jewellery measurement
Une said a woooord.
OK, pigeonman--we will expect more begging. We all benefit when people ask for clues
ooohhh, sorry, haz, hadn't even seen that word!
Watch out, Babble Policewoman Hazel is on the scene!
A free one for you!
how funny that pa5 and an6 would be in the same grid!
Just be glad I've not got the CCTV working.
You'd think that Alaska parka would pop right out. I live in Alaska. Must be too early in the morning.
That's what I thought as well, Une.
yay, a potty breakthrough! first time he told me he needed to go. hehe, it helped that we were filling the washing machine, and the water was making nice rushing sounds.
Yahoo for Daniel! Tell him we are very proud!

WOOT WOOT <POMPOM TOSS AND TWIRL> for DANIEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Carlee
morning carlee
hi scrabbler
ok... so..i am hating this grid...

hi carlee
Carlee, I was looking at my map of the Great Lakes (previous owner left it on basement wall) and found Sarnia. Georgian Bay should be a Great Lake!
its a crappy crappy grid
Hi Carlee...Sprite...Haz...Unae...and anyone else I have missed!
First ar4?
Hello Flask.

ac6/24 - ac plus the body part, lymph sometimes attached
Hmm, Hazel, I use a rake
ty haz
You're welcome.

hmm, could be!
Rain - rescue laundry....
my eyes..move ovr the letters differently?
so far I have 57 words

I shall return tonight--enjoy the day!

Hello Zen and sprite.
Hi sprite, green, Haz
lovely pic, zen
i've not yet found even ONE E from the right side...and i've 85 words to go yet!
Oh darn, my new pic didn't come through!
clue for the top e please
hi Haz
ea = compound word - ea* + a4/6
Hello sprite - have you been around earlier?
Thanks Ata, it hasn't come onto the chat box though
ec4/6 - old French coin (plural)
yes Haz, for quite some time. Invisible to most though, it seemed!
its because we don't like you :P
Oh - I've been in and out a bit so that's been my excuse.
I know, Ata! And it is eating me :P
we don't like you, we looooove you :)
lolllll... not enough to say hi, but still true love ;)
Well I just arrived so that is my excuse sprite
never meant you, Zenmed :) No excuse needed at all.
But how could you EVER be invisible???????
yeah, I know, with my size I should stand out...
Well it wasnt your size, but your personality!
grin, apparently not enough, but thanks Zenmed :)
Isn't it amazing though how one comes to be aware of another's personality when they may be a 1000 miles away - through this chat...
absolutely! One develops a kind of 'feel' for the others, I think.
It is fascinating, I agree.
It's proof that making a friend doesn't have anything to do with how they look, you can make great friends and learn a lot by reading their chat in game rooms like this, defenses are down and true/fun selves come out
And, since I was buried in grid until hit wall now, HI to all that are here :)
how many words?
Hello writer.
There are 284 words today.
hi writer
can you all therefore tell that I'm really reallyy tired and need to go and nap with the pupster?
omg ty haz
Hooray for the fun, writeramy!
lol atalante
I detect tiredness by the fact that you have an extra y on the end of really.
in that case i'm reallyyyyyyy tired
It only works for some people....
The detective strikes quickly
Deerstalker on and violin tuned.
G'day Babblers
hi Nanette
Hello Nono.
I'm picturing you Sherlock Haz - with the pipe and deerstalker...
especially with the pipe :D
No pipe allowed in the workplace......
am a bit late getting at this today ... had to take car in for repairs
In case Watson gets affected with passive smoking.
well, only 284 words to find, you will be fine
guess i better dive in then
Can I have another clue for ou/55 please....can't find it!
Flask - ou8/55 - it means to dance about more than another - three letters for opposite of in, then add the pickle that can dance. (extend Superman's garment)
got it now!...thanks Haz!
You're welcome.
thanks haz, good clue
Have you changed Spangle's name to Watson then, Haz?!
You're welcome, Nono.
thanks Haz
No, Spangle stays as she is. She's the closest thing I'll ever have to a bloodhound!
Well we can have Sherlock and Spangle then!
has a nice ring to it
hello just popped in quickly
Of course, I should be all modern, like the CSI people and have blue torches and sprays. But wait, you have to be fantastically good looking to be one of them!
Ah Spangle's back
Hello Liz - what news from Sark, offended any one else lately? (Liz offended Toyah Wilcox in her blog)
so good looking that you cannot wear caps or protective clothing on crime scenes, so you have to spread your hairs and fibers all over the place :)
hi liz
(Waiting for a chorus of 'WHo is Toyah Wilcox?''
LOL Haz - tell everyone why dont you! *Giggle*
I will bite...Who is toyah wilcox
rolling about laughing
Exactly!
She was a pop star long ago
sprite - you're right about the hair and fibres, they're bound to drop make up all over the place.
ahhh, well, then she deserved it. No one remembers her anyway
And how did you offend her, Liz?
Still, she has an ego the size of a London bus
Ah Haz, By merely staing something true!!!
stating
True? You can't be truthful and think you can get away with it?
Aah, I'm rather partial to Toyah!
I am a fan, don't get me wrong, love to watch! But they always make me laugh with that.
Whatever was going through my head LOL
I remember her and she is still very active in the music scene, producing I think. Also long term marriage to Robert Fripp who was lead guitarist in group called King Crimson.
She does a lot of theatre now too. Hi again BTW
All I did folks was to mention on my blog that she had pulled out of making a celeb appearence at a Taverners Cricket match due to be held here this week - I got a call from her PA telling me I had offended Toyah and could I remove the sentence!
Yes fmitch and she was very good as Miranda in Derek Jarman's "The Tempest"
is anne38 playing?
LOL Liz, you never know who is out there reading and watching. Zen, she was indeed.
That does not sound like offensive behavior
And if you google Toyah Wilcox Sark, you'll find the offending sentence which appears in the blog (as read by THOUSANDS)
very touchy :)
Gotta the most ridiculous thing thats ever happened to me I think
so then Toyah is a fan of your blog
LOL Haz
Wurdy - I think her PA must be paid to do nothing but google all day
sudden overload on google :)
liz - funnier if you say she is a fan of yours though dontcha think
Headlines - Sark woman's blog receives record hits
sell the story to the glossies :)
You all make me laugh so much
For any film fans, Derek Jarman's version of Shakespeare@s "The Tempest" is an astonishingly good movie...
Hi spritey, missed you in the log this morning
Sprite - don't forget to demand your cut of the profits.
Maybe we could ask Toyah to babble!
hi FMitch :)
We could always propose a Babble Celeb v Sark match and Frances could score.
no Liz, she will be offended that Toyah is not valid here
And I'll make the tea.
And I'll make the tea.
Liz, toyah babble? with that lisp??
I'll only make the tea once, though.
Oh I have to go and wipe the laughter tears off my face
she would cheat and have her PA play
her PA can google, but can he play?
We'll all end up in court at this rate! :))
or she, of course
Ah good point sprite, one of those activities requires no brains.
'Nothing to do with me, milord, I was an innocent bystander'
And now I do have to go - my son is just in from school and he thinks I've lost the plot sitting here laughing out loud to myself
we all were... innocent, that is
freedom of speech here
at one time or another
yes, I can see it now, all the $$$ I can make from this conversation! : )
See you all later (though not in a libel court I trust!)
Headline 'Sark woman committed'
LOL TTFN Liz
You should write for the Sun Haz :)
*waves bye to all*
I have to go too, Hubby building deck and I have to help...I am almost dead
THE SUN!!!!!
bye Liz
LOL
Fan me down, someone.
Good heavens, there, there Haz, she didn't know what she was saying!!
She must have been driven mad by the torment of Toyah.
Passes cup of hot sweet tea to help get over the shock.
Thank you. I will soon compose myself again.
Ballymena woman addresses the nation - I think it could be a goer, Haz
na

Oh don't. You wouldn't know what you were letting yourselves in for.
I am with Zenmed
Hi julie
You wouldn't know that you would be letting yourselves in for. Good grief, now even my tenses are going.
The Sun might double it's circulation!
Tabloiditus is striking Haz, run whilst you can!!!
Anyway, I have to go and get some errands done in a soggy town. Be good until I get back....... (I'll check and make sure that the Home for the Bewildered is keeping that room for me)
bye Haz
Oh, thank you sprite, any time!
Bye dear and take care, don't pick up any nasty papers on the way :)
:D
Bye - of course, it may be that Toyah's PA is on the Single Entrail Diet and therefore lacking in nutrients AND judgement. Byee!
diets can kill any sense of humour... as any kind of zealotism :)
I'm away too; gotta go see the doc - bfn
good luck to you, Zenmed, ttyl

it's cheap from here, $60 round trip...5 hours each way, business class, never crowded, but they don't allow dogs!
might have to check that out. be back in a few.
I've taken it to calif. also...24 hours, what a pain! not business class, crowded and smelly
monkey time!
I've been doing that all day.

that does sound like a lovely day Mom! what fun!
I am holed up in the study looking forward to just hiding out here from the family
which is nasty but much less nasty than chewing and spitting out mosquitos and moths like the actual mom would do :P
hi mr p
it was a great day!
I have to go and do something about supper. My library day yesterday was exhausting -- hordes of kids to be registered for a Summer Reading fun programme plus visitors needing special cards all piling up on each other and then other kids wanting to know what books we had at closing time...I collapsed into bed early and slept late and am still pooped *whine*
clue for po6?
well -- that's what you get in the winter I suppose... I'd be happy to trade some of this infernal sun for a bit of gray today!

so sorry to hear that Tim.
i had a schnoodle once that "escaped" from our fenced in yard because of all the fireworks and disappeared for 48 hours and somehow found her way back home - never quite the same. Some dogs have mighty sensitive ears!
oh, sorry to hear that Tim. (((hugs)))
What happened, TH?
i hada melt down at work
thanks:)
Sorry to hear you had a bad day, TH.
do you need to vent or talk about it?
this is very therapdic
gheez, group hugs ((())) for tim!
:) thanks:)
Sorry, TH---now you are here and safe in Babble Land, where we have meltdowns when we can't find words that aren't used in everyday conversation.
everyone needs to have a melt down occasionally, th - it lets everyone know you're only human!
oh tim! we are all here for ya :)
My boss is named Richard Head--is yours too, TH?
thanks:)
{{{Tim}}}
lol she is more like the devil who wears prada
second dr6/27 please?

You didn't get homicidal did you, TH? I occasionally get that way.
Oh, our office manager is a first class bully.
i've worked for Ricky Head, his middle name starts with an A
LOL, Sudoku
actually i have about 10 bosses:)
luv that, sudoku!
Unea, to get soaked with water
My husband comes up with them
aaahhh, was looking at the wrong dr--thanks~
Great book---The No A**hole Rule by Robert Sutton. I even e-mailed him after reading it.
keeps me laughing though
10 bosses, sounds like at least 9 too many
or ten too many
He advises: [1] Leave if you can, [2] learn to be emotionally detached
my friend and i were working on a book based on 100 of the worst buisness practices or "how not to run a buisness"
i'll add one... antacids really help with uclers :P
i left, and it's done me a world of good! unfortunately, my checkbook is feeling the pinch
my current employers have broken most of the 100 rules:)
Yikes, thunder is here! .......TH, I could contribute to that book...my boss has lived that book
well dawg--you're supposed to line up a new job before you leave. if you get paid vacation, that's a PERFECT time for job hunting. come back from your 2 weeks, and give your 2 weeks notice.

I work for a family run buisness that is growing too fast
they usually think they are the most wonderful person in the world
sweet! that had to help things along for a bit :)
ergh, family own is probably even worse. I feel for you Tim
and 90% of the time they speak a foreign language
yeah, but now i need to find at least a part time job to help pay for my part of the house and bills. Hubby is sweet, but his job doesn't pay what i gave up

family owned are looking at the bottom line...them. not what their employees need
well done max
yay, max!
"Chinese military governor" -- I ask you............
congrats Max
i am not predudiced whatsoever but if you can speak english well and ppl are present who do not understand your language it might be polite to include them inthe conversation
i was hoping for something to do from home. i really like not getting dressed in the morning til i feel like it! lol
I am sure you will find something LBD
i'm with IB
Hi erda! Tim, yes that would be polite and courteous.
i am gonna learn thier language and not tell them i know it
hi, erda
Hi lbd
Hi Jellen

like the do6 sudoku
ro6 rhymes w/do6 feminine cleansing
thanks
that's because you are intuned to your surrounding tim.
"An annual bean grown in India" -- wow. Some real gems this time!!!
learn how to say good morning and how are you in arabic, that should put them on their guard, not to mention seeing you care enough to try to learn their language
hehe
