well done ruthy
I dont think I like this grid
night flosey see you soon take care
That's not very nice Atalante, what has the grid ever done to you? :P
its been tricksy!
gn flosey
whee got the sp9s :)
and is "being tricksy" a sith attribute which you are sworn to fight?
great, melon--are they compounds?
nah, its a jedi thing I think. Its bloody annoying, anyway!
well, I like this grid, it has lots of simple word in, which suits me just grand
nope, one is a musical direction, the other quite similar
I never see the simple words, that's my problem, I think
i'd like a clue for en9, please.
ok back dinner is up sorry just poached eggs on toast tonite - need comfort food after a bad day lol
night flosey -- c u demain soir?
ahh---hmmm--thinking
oh groovy? you ok?
they're the only ones I see :S
yeah - had the ISO QUality Management accreditation auditor intoday doing his annual audit and hes really pedantic
Hi does the Sp 8 turn into the 9?
oh fun :(
and then come home to an extrememly grumpy hubby who hadnt had much sleep last nite and was ranting and raving at the kids then turned on me cause i told him to settle down
nope, not a bit, herinfer
even more fun :( *hugs*
so i kicked him out the door for the evening and told him to go rant and rave somewhere else
no 8s or 9s found here and only 2 7s, as usual. I just see the 4s
good idea! go you!
so i have poached eggs on toast in one hand and a bourbon and coke in the other - essential comfort food lol
*hands over alcohol and chocolate marshmallow fishies*
oh, very good. yes. much comfort food needed
mmm, poached eggs on toast...
good one kiwi!! you sort them out grumpy old men heh enjoy your dinner and drink
Thanks
I'm trying to think of the an en 9 clue, melon--not very good at this--
ata you can send some choc fish my way yummy
I want protein
grey Q :D
I'd send some if I really had some, I'm craving them sooo badly this morning for some reason!
wtg melon
200 to go
en +*****cal storm + not out = en 9
pineapple lumps and chocy fish did you get introduced to them ata!!
ohhh yum lore
quora should be found in the dictionary
oh ata i will have to go to the Kiwi shop now
pineapple lumps we have here (at least something vaguely related to them). but No Chocolate Fishies
me too, I think lore!
and yes, jilli, it should!
miranda, that en clue didn't work for me :(
ty mirandapan!
miranda, is this related to the tendency of things to break down, or so the physicists say?
me neither
jill--try last part of the clue as "not off but..."
last part of clue should be not off
what a fab word! ty miranda
yw, nonnie--sorry, jilli--the storm is the one just before it turns into a hurricane
Ok En 9 clue en *****cal storm plus not OFF but **
OK, past half, with 12 7s, 4 8s, and 3 9s. to bed. btw, kid is improving every day, thank god.
Thanks i did get that clue just the ending was off
yes, herin--sorry about the last part and thanks for correcting--don't do this well
has anyone got all the 8's?
finally!!! And I should haveknown that en9!
i have 3 lol
it was a good clue mira! :o)
It occurs in some dogs,, as does the ec version
Its Ok i ferreted it out
thanks, nonnie--hard word to clue!
no, 4 of 5, hug
finally found the ri7
jilli, are Great Danes officially the "largest" dog?
Is the SP 9 an extension of any previous Sp words?
several breeds, seldom Gt Danes, more likely Chows etc
chows? wow, didnt realise they got that big!
yes it is lady
or rather, yes they are
hi again everyone!
don't have the sp 9s, but melon said one was a musical term
I mean that's Bassets, Bloodhounds, droopy-eyed breeds -- ec is Chows etc -- but I'm not a vet
thanks and i read that there was 2 Sps 9 yes?
hi franmag
I need to hit the hay--goodnight all!
hi ardilla!
wb fran all is now quiet on the western front lol
night nonnie
yep sp9 x 2
nite nonnie sweet dreams
iextension of sp6/21. i'm sticking around bc i have the words on either side of the po9, but not the po 9!!!!! and their is so littl alphabetical difference that i'm feeling dopey. . .
hi again ardilla!
thanks 8i have one
Hi Fran i did email dr g about that pain in the butt too
well, 50 to go... and time for bed... the last 8 and the rest will have to wait for tomorrow... goodnight all
i think many of us did.
night hugs!
gn hugs
now which sp6/21? *ponders*
yes, they were zapped into the ether right before i left to make dinner
I did -- maybe DrG was alseep for a bit but it finally worked
TY Jilli. I met a pack of Neapolitan Mastiffs recently and I've never seen such huge dogs, it started me wondering about the "biggest" dog
i gove. i'll hate myself in the morning, but i would love a clue for po8.
i give, that is.
Big or Tall? I think Danes and Irish Wolfhounds get the Tall prize, but those Neapolitan Mastiffs, Leonbergers, Newfies, St Bernards etc get the Big (bulk) prizes
atalante--the sp having to do w/ ghosts--or certain alcoholic drinks
the sp6/21 that follows the church topper, and is a churchy subject at that.
hmm yes. ok, so Danes are tall. I'd love to see one in real life
ahhh ty miranda
thanks amanda and melon, got it!
(the sp9 that is)
does anyone have po9? anyone?
yw----
sorry, melon!
thjere is bo po9
I wish that DR would also have the abilty to ban certain rude or considered offensive handles
Is there a po 9? my 9s are full
2xsp9 & enp only
night nonnie see you soon
clues for the sp 9s please
en9 that is!!
yeah, but what if someone's name was richard?
po8, sorry, sorry, sorry.
sp6/21 with two similar endings
I found the po 8--it has a french ending--let me think of a clue
lady i reckon he should set up some facility to allow for certain players that he trusts the ability to be room "hostesses (or hosts lol)" and give them the facility to be able to sort out trolls and other undesirables
I think so too, groovy
good idea GK, deputize a few administrators.
I second that - they used to have it with AOL chat rooms
ive done it for quite a while on other chat areas like IRC etc and its not too hard to do so long as you respect the "authority" you have
He's usually pretty fast on the draw
well someone suggest it to him then!
got it. just the frenchie hint helped. now i can sleep. {poof}
Ok im going to sound like a school maam but also i think there should be certain rules of engagement - like a code of ethics (Ma?
Oh, good--I was just trying to figure out a clue--I'm going to bed, too
bye melon!
lol are we in a war herin? hhahha
but yes that would be a good idea - we should suggest a committee type thing to help him out
the word i would like to use is in the grid
night miranda!
the en 5/12? lol
night miranda
I'm crashing -- zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
nite miranda sweet dreams
thanks--and good night to you all, too.
good night jilli sleep well see you soon
*pokes jilli in the ribs to wake her up*
I think also a 'time out' would be good for first time offenders. THere used to be a system on AOL chat were you got booted for being a royal dingas
Can i have a clue for the 8s i have the extension of ghosts
yeah they have that on irc too - boot for a week i think or so
I think the period of booting was about 30min to 1hr it gave the parties bitching at eash other time to cool off
en 8/45 is a person who works with en 6/21
la 8/45 is an extension of la 6/21
an 8/40 is an extension of the an 4/4 (sounds like it has something to do with "outside")
grrr i cant go home until the meeting is over
sp 8/45 is someone who is more sp 5/12
and im not sure on the other one i havent got it yet
Is that the Sp ghost one?
no its "athletic" based
morning all!!
hi pink!

Just trying to figure out how to use babble expert. Does anyone else use it?
yep, there's a help guide in the resources button xan.
nope, but nearly veeryone else does
Thanks feather!
it's not quite updated for version 11 yet, unless lickety did that, but there are only a few minor differences.
im on version 11 feather lol
I use and love BabbleExpert v 11-- very user-friendly -- go for it!
hi i am off back in 2 hours hopefully
the help guide was done based on v10
bye herin
ok see ya herin
bfn herin -- I'll be in dreamland when you get back
i might be luckly and be finished by then lol
bye herin
Is there a way that I can see the chat as well as the clues and grid at the same time?
Lickety Add is the most important part
which chat? lickety chat or this one?
Xanika, that's what BabbleExpert is for
this one
if your screen isn't wide enough for everything, there should be a scroll bar going across the bottom that you can shift things around with. you can also adjust the size of the clue list.
I can't see the whole thing at the same time, I need to scroll the page over.
how do I adjust the size of the clue list?
you may have tomake a small adjustment to your resolution to fit it all in comfortably
drag the yellow bar
Go to desktop and right-click in a blank place to change resolution
okay, back
thanks for your help everyone!
hi fran
hi fran & feather
i want a G, just so i can make "sproing"
Hey, I figured out out to change the screen resolution. Thanks jilli.
that's a good word heather
i like it
are there a lot of SO words? most of what I'm finding are sp
yw, Xanika
its fab
100 to go, time to take a break I think
i have 5 SO words so far
what's fab, ata?
that's what i have, ok.
6
sproingingness
lol ata
ah, 6 here too
Oh yes, ata!
I always say that spaniels sproing
(sorry, bit a delayed reaction!)
not to mention Jack Russels
oh yes, them too :D spaniels have the advantage of sproingy ears though ...
are both the sp9s built on the same sp6?
oh nvm, just found the second one!
ooh, ooh, which sp6 fran?
the ghostly one heather
ah, didn't have that one yet, ty!
so...are they?
heather, i was going to remind you that with Gigi it was only 12 hours from my very first contraction to birth, it progressed very quickly.
daniel was 4 1/2 hours. eek.
oh yeah, they are, one is an italian music term
and i think it means the same thing as the other one
hmm. i have the 9 that ends like your h***e you live in
the other is the same word in italian
finally got the Italian version!
yeah ata, took a while for the music clue to click for me too!
(not clicking here yet)
I can't find one no4, clues anyone?
it will, there are only a few ways to turn after the T
is it also 66 points?
60, feather
xanika, do you have the seaweed? anagram for black in french
xan ther eis a mans name

sorry heather, phone
oh, just got the 4th, that was a weird one
ok, only missing one Q
ok if i said the first 6 all started with one specific vowel as the third letter and the other 4 all started with another vowel as the third letter lol
i only have one that is not part of a plural pair, qu5/16, like a knight's assistant the squ***. any guesses on the last?
missing one of the first 6 then
qu4/7+ two off qu4/8+ 1 off qu5/16 + zero qu5/16 + 1 0ff qu5/16 + 1off
the grain heather
qu6/27

PINK...you are looking for a 17 letter word with 1 vowel heading you're way (a favourite curse of mine)
OH poor liz
never mind liz im suresummer will reach you soon!!!
rusty Liz more like!
ahhhh liz lol...id you suffer any flooding?
Haz'll be getting the same awful summer as she's just over the water from me, but she doesn't complain like me.
No, no flooding here at all, so I shouldn't complain.
whereabouts in Scotland do you live Liz, is it near the English boarder or further north?
Liz i didnt think Scotland had summer
We're heading off to Eire for a caravan break soon, so hoping for greater things.
I am hoping to go away some time in the next week
Herin, We DOOO, it was on the 14th April this year.
Ok lol
Pink.. I'm in Stranraer, SW Scotland.
Nearest English City is Carlisle about 100 miles away by road.
So Liz are you born and bred scots?
Nearest big towns Ayr in 1 direction and Dumfries in the other.
Not born in Scotland, but all family Scots and lived here for Yonks.
OK cool. I used to have to translate for my dads mate who was scotish and my dad couldnt understand him
Yes, it's sometimes a problem. I took ages to understand the local accent, and I only came from Glasgow!! They call it Galloway (our county) Irish.
oh :)
hi everyone
Howdy Andree!!!
Hi Andree
liz, my dad was scottish, lived here over 50 years , was almost impossible to understand on the phone, hard accent to lose
My accent isn't strong as my Dad's job meant that we moved a lot, so I've got a little bit of everything which adds up to a fairly neutral accent.
Sorry i was getting pudding
Break time BBL
later liz
Is it going to be a quite chat again

no just crankie
Pink the boy is an insomniac and doesnt sleep normal hours
has he consulted his doctor?
yep
sleeping pills prescribed?
have hime try trazedone, it's a generic
Bichon and pink you cant get him to take Tramadol for teeth removal. I have had to do the mum thing just to get him to take panadol
there not working i take it?
No, trazedone, it's a non-habit forming, presription sleeping pill. works for me
Thanks Bichon i think he has tried everything. I have to play sneaky to get him to take stuff
so you ant become addictedto them bichon
*cant
no, I've been taking them for many years. It's not like Ambien, which you can't take for that long.
has he tried herbal remedies herin?
Yep
NOthing works
opps pardon caps lock
hypnotherapy?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trazodone
no
It's also used as a mild anti-depressant
but every person reacts differently to a certain drug. I edon't wake up sleepy
i thought most sleeping pills were used as anti depressantsw
We have had a long weekend and too many late nights
how many today folks
253
253
253 words Adsman!!
ty
pink, no I don't think so. The most popular Ambien isn't. But it's way overused
good morning all
g'morning greenbay
i've never had to take sleeping pills, its a bit of a grey area for me, but what i do know that anti depressants make you sleepy. I just assumed that most were the happy pills....Morning Greenbayladi!!
it a big grid today
Hi Uni and Greenbay
Hey Unea
hey, pink and herin :-)
These S words SUCK lots
Man i would like to know why im being such a piglet today
so do the en's any clue for the 9?
pink, that's not true of all antidepressants--prozac, zoloft, and many others commonly used do not make you sleepy
I take my anti ds at night as they make me sleeping and sub human in the day thus take at night
I've taken anti-depressants for over a decade and found that [not prozac] they do make me sleepy, but not enough to sleep through the night. Along with Trazodone, I get a full night's sleep
the other thing to consider is that everyone responds differently to prescription drugs . . .
the ones my neighbours take always say they are tired *diazapam* i think is the one used
I've responded well to most anti-d's but not Prozac
Zoloft is my lifesaver
THats right Une. I needed my nana nap in the arvo so i switched it about
My doctor and the counselor are mine
OH FFS. Pink can you IM me?
Drugs! My source of "vitamin serotonin" is Effexor. LOL, we are all sharing this info.
:-D
I am very thankful to live at a time when there are SSRI's
Scrabbler cuteoverload have a cute pic of a bunny being washed ears back the caption is so cute
And good day fine women of Babble Land!!!
same here!!!!!
Me too, bichon, otherwise I would have been gone many yrs ago.
morning!
this grid is mean
I was bulemic and in the first few days of taking an SSRI, I was completely cured. Of course, that's me as an individual
Hi Scrabbler & Une - lovely photo Une
hey, feather :-)
Hey Scrabbler and Feather
i think so too :-)
Hey, Feather, I just bookmarked Friedbeef's Tech site that is on your blog. I was checking to see if you went into labor. Unless you have a laptop on your abdomen now, you are not in labor.
nope, just getting breakfast
isn't that a great list!
Hi feather
Lady---I love that website. Such cute animals. My little hamster, Oliver, is old (2 1/2 yrs) and has a tumor growing, and I think after seeing more pics that I will get another one after he is gone. I had planned to be done with hamsters, but they are So cute.
Sorry i am scarfing choc biscuit slice. I want a hamster
Not to eat, though?
LOL hey haz!
LOL, Hazel. A snake would want to eat a hamster.
Hello all - just passing through while I'm doing my impersonation of a white tornado through the house.
Hi
Hi Haz
As in cleaning or dancing or what, Hazel?
I don't trust TV adverts any more. They all show people being blissfully happy as they clean. I'm just sweaty because it's so humid today.
Feather is that the first site that you came up when you google it
AND their houses get cleaned in 10 seconds flat.
haz, i was soaked all day yesterday--98 degrees and high humidity--ugh
getting breakfast
what herin?
That sounds horrible. We haven't got that amount of heat, just lots of rain and clamminess.
that's like the DIY TV shows--everything is redone in an instant!
It is dark and raining here---coming soon to you, FeatherBee!
I know - what they don't show is the paint peeling off, the curtains falling down and the furniture collapsing as soon as filming finishes.
ugh. br
The Friedbeefs Tech the one thats got the stuff for making ipod covers
brb
Haz, the picture of Dorian Gray! LOL
Or a close-up of the particle board that was used to make the furniture/shelves. That is cheap "wood".
Right, Mr Dyson says I've got to pay him some more attention and Mr Sheen is whistling impatiently. Back later! Mr Muscle can wait his turn.
And Mr Clean is calling you too, Hazel.
I'm all for clean living! Bye!
hello everyon
hey, t and t :-)
Hi T&T
Hi T&T, how are you?
hi tandt!
hot. I was cleaning the bathroom and now I'm all sweaty. and I'm covered in bug bites
but good. how are you all?
Hot & sweaty and itching bug bites acquired over the weekend from gardening.
hello again everyone
yea, someone who feels the same as me!
Hi ardilla
mosquitoes are terrible here . . .
Hi Ardilla
I even had a citronella candle next to me but that doesn't scare them off. I should have sprayed myself with bur repellent.
I'm not sure if mine are all mosquitos. I'm sure the majority of them are. some are huge and nasty! we don't have screens on our windows, so the summer months are hard to deal with
Scrabbler the site your talking about is it called Friedbeef?
phantom: protein
I thought about getting one of those candles and putting it by my bed. it seems I get the majority of the bites at night
Friedbeef's Tech--cool site
welcome back Ardilla!!
That totally rocks thansk feather
I got told a really cheap idea for gift wrap -photocopying pretty paper
I have to get through 2 days of work, and be on call tonight, then I am on vacation for 5 days--going back to the Adirondack Mtns. Yippee.
I hope you have a fantastic time Scrab
brb
I hope the weather is good. I want to kayak and hike the entire time.
rude
Not in the grid, Lady
(reading back, Scrabs I take Efexor too)
can we swtich the i and the e. I want to put points
hey, ata ;-)
I've been through a lot--but I have stayed with Eff for several yrs now as my maintenance--I need vitamin serotonin.
And vitamin norepinephrine--Eff works on both neurotransmitters.
its good stuff
I take zoloft. I've been on Lexapro too
OK, T&T, I grant you permission to change the grid format.
Sorry that was my brain fart for the night. Woot I get to watch my show no idiot comments everyones in bed
And I take omega fatty acids--crucial for our brains.
I get to take efexor, lithium and lamictal
And does that combo work well for you, Ata?
Oh i can finally relax no tossers
wonderfully well. lithium is a miracle drug
"tossers"--as in bothersome male idiots?
I am glad you have found a way to tame your brain, Ata
How can I hit a wall with 180 words remaining?
anyone have ae6.21?
ae + o** two three four + not them
thank you Une
Oooh, TY, Une
yw :-)
top n should be an M
"only" 100 to go . . . taking a break . . . BBL
bye Une
You may change it, T&T, I am sure Dr God would not mind.
I wonder how horribly screwed up a puzzle would get if you changed just one letter. Oh that's too much to think about. I'll stop
There is a loud bluejay squawking outside.
scrab, you still stuck?
I found a few more, but I am going to take a break. I need to type something up for my father. BBS
ok later
bbl
bye pink
Woohoo - got the other 2 9s
Sorry I blame feather
gj lynxxx
How do I put a circle around text? On Microsoft Word?
I don't know
I am just awful at Word - sorry
clue for re 7/28
add an s to re6 greenbay
zText circle hang on
ty
re6.18 means to go back on your word or give up - re7.28 is the plural

then you should see the circle option
ty lynxxx
Hurshy you rock thanks
skipping the ens they are frustrating
np - you got it sc?
TY, hurshy--I am working on it
How do I get the text within the circle?
Pink if you read over the chat before checking IM read my IM message. I am sorry
many ways... move the circle to the text
or right click the circle and tell it to make it a text box and then paste the text in
Just come over here, will you, hursh?
lol, i wish i could, but i gg to work now, hope you get it worked out!
OK, I have an egg oval now, with the text in it--making progress.

How are you and the children holding up? Not much longer until MrP comes home, is it?
Hi Kentucky Mom!
She is coming home tomorrow!

Yes, all because of this round planet rotating and "seeing" the sun at different times.

any ideas for a middle name? we're liking nicholas more and more now. we have a scottish last name, mac*******, so nicholas (something) mac******
le5/10 - accompanies Sierra when describing a country.
I have to get ready for work--first I go to the school for developmentally delayed kids where I am the school doc. I LOVE it there.
that's really nice feather
thanx haz
Middle name - mmmm - Ethan ? Or is that too used?
I like J names--James, John....

Scrabbler - wow - challenging and rewarding!
james is actually one of my thoughts scrab!

lady - good news all round then
Back later - hello to Lickety, by the way.
bye haz
Meyer has a white spot on his chest, Frank has a longer nose. They act completely different too
i've got a black kitty with smatterings of white and ginger tiger stripes. She is just so beautiful.
Hey Haz - What about Harry
my kitty is in my flickr :)
katiek - kittens are so cute!
Frank is actually black and brown striped. He has to be in the sun to see it though
i look at a live journal website (online diary) and there is a community dedicated to black kittys
tandt - that's cool - like stealth
feather . . . Trayton
Hey EJ
i used to have 2 black kitty sisters. samantha and delilah. like the play on names there? hehe. samantha passed away this past year.
We have an older cat called Custard and the kittens are now 16 weeks old called Rhubarb and Crumble. The cost a fortune in vets bills though!
Our cat has simliar -she's a tiger!
I love the eating muffin shots
oh katieW - good kid replacement!
Sorry about the names, we just couldn't help ourselves!!
hey Pinkie
Meyer & Frank look like little panthers. they are huge, 15 and 13.5 lbs each. but the vet says they are just where they are suppose to be
it's hard now though, because i'll see delilah still out of the corner of my eye and think she's samantha for a moment, and miss her all over again
We had a beautiful cat with a beautiful name - Lia
Custard & Rhubard Crumble - Yummo!
We had 3 at one stage - but it was a disfunctional famiy - Jitterbug had to go
such great kitty names
(only male)
I currently have 3 cats and the only male is a major problem
feather - sounds like your cats came from the sixties!
yeah, we had to get rid of our male too. he peed on everything. his name was phantom, because he was black and white and looked like he had a phantom of hte opera mask on
I have to say our family is now complete. Crumble has been poorly (who knew cats could get cystitis!) the three of them get on really well.
nono, in what way is the male cat a problem?
samantha and delilah, taken off of samson and delilah!
those are cute names feather
Annie he really should be in a home where he is the only cat. He keeps attacking the other two
then we have our regal tabby cat, cleopatra, named because she thinks she's the queen. and her daughter emma, named for the tabby M on her forehead
I like Katie's names too
they are in my flicker pics
both my cats are males. they were nudered before I got them though
Miss Shadow, Kittles and George
hehe, give me a cat to name and i'm fine. a kid? ugh, agony to decide!
clue for the 3rd no 4/4 please
My cat is called Silverclaw
katie - unforunate that her illness matched her dessert tendancies
oh, silverclaw, i like that
don't have it sandr sorry
Silverclaw sounds heroic!
I named my kitty Arnie because, well you should all know the reason by now!!!!!!
The names can be a bit embarrasing when you have all three of them in at the vets! I like silverclaw but it implies a prowess that none of my cats possess.
its a not well known alternate name for Titania, and Sily is a very petite little Burmese
we had a pair of kittens once who died of feline leukemia. they were named selene and pandora, out of greek myths
nono, then he really should be the only one, I had a male cat who was the same, jealousy was the problem. we had to keep him away from the other two for months and then introduce them gradually..it was better but never that good but we managed
Atta i saw the kitty foto very cute. i just wanted to rub its wittle bellie
well, she's called Sily at home, which is very appropriate!
sounds like a name in Harry Potter - Silverclaw
my 3rd no4.4 is japanese seaweed - but not using list so not sure
ir4 spelt backwards sandr
sandr - same as the one above but with letters transposed
thanx movieman
could have sworn id typed that in
yw sandr
Katie female kitties can be a pain with cistitus (im probably spelling it wrong) My old kitty had it and she had to have special cat diet food, she liked it we on the other hand were not amused at the price
ok, i need to go and pick up stuff around the house. cya later
your kitties are gorgeous, katie!
Annie we took George at the request of a woman who was ill and going in a nursing home. He had been an only cat for 3 years
bye feather
Feather take a pew
bye feather take care
bye Feather
Katie very cute kittens
nono, George was used to all the attention...that was great of you to take the cat...so like children..love kitties
Thanks, the problem with 3 is that they all eat each others food. Custard has put on so much weight withe the kitten food and Crumble insists on eating hers. We still have to take the plung and let them out on their own yet!
bbl guys goto go get ready for a job interview,TTFN
good luck sandr!!!
good luck sandr
good luck sandr
Good luck Sandr
Katie feed the cats in different rooms at different times if the cats get territorial and dont play nice descent one room and let that cat have its food toys and poo tray in there alone if he/she likes to be alone
can't you put Custard's food somewhere high enough that the kittens can't jump there? Or are they springing machines already?
Yes he did get lots of attention and we try to still give him lots but he just harasses the females no end
nono, did you ask a vet how to make the situation more pleasant?
The only place they can't reach is the kitchen units and hopefully it will stay that way! We were very lucky ours got on so well. We moved house on the Friday and got the kittens on the Monday, it's a wonder that Custard didn't run away!!
have had him now almost 2 years and it hasnt gotten much better
bbslittle pink is tired and restless
nono, oh dear, good luck with George...maybe Haz would know of something you can try
Nono, it must be really hard, the first two weeks of sulking were enough for me let alone two years.
Custard probably knows what side of the bread is buttered
clue for ro 6/18
Pink i may be gone as i have to bed it soon
help with the en9, please
greenbay, think allocation of jobs
sorry haven't got the en9 yet

lets say you have 2 job offers. Job A pays slightly more than youre making now, its pretty much the same job you already have, just with a different company. the company sounds good to work for, and has good benefits. Job B pays substantially more, but the job sounds very stressful, is very different from what you know how to do (and youre not sure thats the direction you wan to go in) and the work area seems fairly craptacular. do you take the lower-paying, better-sounding job, or the higher-paying position?
I have to say, we did real well (for the most part) with ignoring the little twit.
yes, nono--I think I came on between 12:15 and 12:30 a.m.
I vote job a unless you're close to retirement, then I say job b
Eva I personally would take the lower paying job with less stress
tr7/32 tr + vowel + sweet smelling evergreen tree
i say ask job B how long the past person was in that job for. and if it was more than a year, take B. but what do i know. and i like a challenge.
Job B sounds pretty grim . . .
I'd go for Job A Eva - they'll love you and the B will only give you heartache
I vote job A (less stress wins everytime--for me!)
Evan, do you really need the stress right now? You can always get a stressful job....
im trying to see if job A will raise their salary in light of the offer from Job B. but i just feel like i would have to be stupid to turn down so much money!
will the extra money be worth the extra stress and will the stress level taper off once you learn the ins and outs of the job?
money's not all it's cracked up to be (speaking as a thoroughly middle class american, of course!)
money's not all it's cracked up to be (speaking as a thoroughly middle class american, of course!)
Or look at it as a welcome opportunity for personal introspection and do Job b for a couple of years, learn about yourself, and bail out when you can't stand it
i will admit, i dont deal well with change. i think im leaning toward Job A for several reasons (nicer work environment, im familiar with it, i have a lot to learn...)
Lower Paying one does not need more stress,if you can i would say so
sorry i did not mean to but in ,
Eva, whatever you do, don't beat yourself up over your final decision because that will be the right one for you!

le + single
ty jellen
Hi
hello lady!
Hi, herin
Hey having issues with the net this am (its sucking lots)
ooooooof
I'm sorry lady, that sucks
Hi hursy
hi
oooof back at ya hursh! ;)
Hi, hurshy
te4/4, the first?
Jellen, blue green color
seems to me that's gotta be the color
Espn have copy writted this gnarly 40foot skate borders drop. I have friends that would like to watch it. The guy walked away busted wrist and bruising thats it (owwweee)
Thanks, Niamh
yw
X-games guy? It was 51ft
he got a bruised liver, too
and lost his shoes :)
he's lucky he's not dead, the video looked so scary
we were at the bar when it happened. Even the band stopped playing to watch the replays
how does one know thier liver is bruised? never mind I don't want to know!
evenin babblers!
hello
hi all, how it going?
My mate used to do X games hes nuts
Hi, Eva and Gwen
well hi there Gwen
probably some sort of medical scan shows it niamh
so, we're talking about the death defying skateboard guy? does anyone know what kind of surface he landed on? concrete or what?
The reason this guy survived was he did the parachute thing - go flat and spread out your body mass
skate ramp
it's a hard covered wood
What Ab sad.
kinda like the old fashioned roller rink stuff
was it as bad as Dario Francetti's Indy car crash?
wood covered with a layer like linoleum or something?
dunno, indy isn't televised on this side of the pond
how can a fall be as bad as a car crash?
well both nearly died ...
Laquared wood (pardon spelling this seems to be a net problem i cant check my typos)
i saw the clip once or twice but couldn't really tell if he hit a surface that had any spring
lacquer
no, this guy didn't nearly die. he looked like he ought to have nearly died but turned out his injuries were not as bad as one would have feared
and yes, it's got *0* spring
thanks to anyone who was around this morning to give me their opinion on my job scenarios :)
ouch!!!
he can't eat any food for a while cause he bruised his liver
there were job scenarios and i missed it??
ditto Francetti
ooh just found an 8 all by myself 8-)
can anyone clue me the 1st ri7/32 plz?
heh, yeah. Job A was lower paying (though more than present) but probably happier. Job B was very high paying, but uber-stressful sounding.
ri7.32 = ri6.21 - the last vowel
they are alternate spellings of the same word
job a, obviously.
but then, i'm a type b personality, so naturally i pick job a
Ata - Indy car drivers have the best safety there every is (when they work) skateboarder helmet knee pads and wrist guards thats it
ri7 isn't any FUN without the e
I feel ya, Eva. i got offered to move from Development to Sales on friday at nearly double the salary.
I told them I'd rather hang my self from a barbed wire noose
ri7 is a sharp, jabbing insult, or a witty comeback. looks like it's spelled wrong. includes as part of the word " dumb as a **** "
did you see the crash, herin?
at least they don't do the same to po8...
ri6 and 7 are both terms for a fencing counter-attack
got that ri7/21 but it was the first one I needed - the one between a crowd of rowdy people and the plural.
we seem of have Little Mermaid theme today, yes?)
one is the english spelling and one is the french (at least that's how I knew them)
is someone mermaiding besides me?
Trying to get the net to spit it out but my net sucks this am. I am not saying they are the same or different but Indy cars, most racing cars disintegrate on impact thus making the crash look ten times worse. Still would have hurt lots though.
ri7= full of ri4/4
lol watch the crash, herin. you'll change your view
omg Jellen am I being stoopid here??? Just can't get it!
ri7 = full of the word before it(ri4.4)
no, I'm being obtuse. ri4/4 + fourth vowel + not them, but **
*firewords*
Congrats, riemann!!
eegad, thought i saw an icon with that cute little singing crab but it turns out to be some human male (!) (yes, I know I need new glasses)
yup-- I wuz being stoopid! Just couldn't see that one at all! got it now ty.
wgt riemann!!
I would but my net sucks worse than (i think ill leave it there)
thanks all. Now it's off to dinner, then the grocery store.
*wave*
i'll see if I can find it for you :)
I swear I've put ronin in a babble grid before, but it won't take it today!

hurshy, google it dearie
I saw them when I was living in France so I saw Le Bon, le Brut, et Le Truand (The Good, the Bad, and the Ugyl) LOL
then tell me please!

i can just see julia child popping up in the middle of a clint eastwood gunfight...
tx jellen
absolutely, Gwen--I loved them and the music was great!
oh you guys are hopeless LOL
Hursh, blasphemy!!!
that would be soooo funny
*whistles* yeah, the music rocked
why did they make westerns in Italy?
someone should dub it together for youtube
thank you Gwen
a-a-a-a-ah! (yodeling)
cause they ran out of spaghetti?
atalante: same reason we make movies about things that happened in FRance, and so on
Spaghetti Western is a nickname for a broad sub-genre of Western film that emerged in the mid-1960s, so named because most were produced by Italian studios
surely it would be cheaper to export spaghetti in the west than export a film crew to Italy!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaghetti _Western
grrrrrrrrr, leaving now for dinner and my tv show . . .
(a) it was cheaper and (b) the Hollywood studios thought Westerns were dead (this was in the late 1960s and early 1970s)
BBL
or because they'd made SO much spaghetti that it was going to last them a decade so they had nothing to do except make westerns
where's MovieMan when I need him . . . ?
(giving hurshy a cyber smack) LOLOL
if they had so much spaghetti they should've build stuff with it.... like bridges
hey, i had lasagna for supper...
I just told u
now i'm outta this den of philistines LOL
is that what happened in Michigan?
Are you ready for this? Andrew Lloyd Weber has announced that he's beginning writing on a sequel to Phantom of the Opera . . .
minnesota you mean
oh dear, what's he THINKING?!
Spaghetti Western is a nickname for a broad sub-genre of Western film that emerged in the mid-1960s, so named because most were produced by Italian studios
(jump in and grab THAT one and run with it, hursh!)
the phantom of the cinema
oops. yeah, somewhere!
Une there for the second time
what?
He should do a prequel and call it The Phantom Menace of the Opera Building Site
lol
good one, dan LOL
as long as we don't have a TV competition for who gets to play Phantom
ohmygod, so true, ata! LOL
they should just make Simon Cowell do it
eeewww
i object! one who st5s himself for a coming difficulty is obviously a st5er

Most are variations on a theme of decay. Try different vowel endings.

I like all of my partners except one, LOL.
do you remember a very old episode of ER where the doctor played by Eric LaSalle had to do a peds rotation and he wasn't a kid person, so the nurse told him to just stick LOTS of toys and stuff all over his stethoscope? Well, yeah, he has lots of toys on his stethoscope

Ata - Hi. I wondered that, too.
i was wrong i realized it after
Hi, tim.

te4/4, Kristine.

Actually, me calling a 'sea' duck was a bit misleading. It's a duck. LOL
y/w
phantom word: protein
Evan - That's the first 'word' I saw today.
po 8/45
i prolly shouldn't try to clue i suck at it
..the second was 'scrotum' for some odd reason! There's not even a 'c' in the grid.
i have AN8 and SP8 -- hints on the other 8s?
tim - the more you have a go the better you'll get.:)
clue me up for the SP8 Eva? Please?
evening
someone who plays football, basketball baseball is SPO8 than someone who plays only football
po 8/45 is like a french meat pie
po8 is a French word; po4/5 + personal pronoun + h*** is the clue I made up.
po8/45 = a door curtain. Take the chap who carries your bags at stations (Ha! Not any more they don't!) or at an hotel (po6/21) and add a personal pronoun before the last vowel and a vowel after the last letter.
Did you get that? :-)
Hi, all!
en8 = the one who puts the en6/21 on the mugs and plates.
Hi, pam.
hi pam
Figures, a relatively large grid on a monday night...
heh, got it jac :)
Hi, pam
la8/45 = the one who la6/21s (is sorry).
tthats all my 8s -- thanks!

I arrived at a great time--the 8s were being clued, LOL. Thanks!
Pam - you must have second sight. :-)
Wait until you get to th 9s! *evil grin*
LOL--not on a bet, Jac. Just luck, and rarely that, LOL
pin
ea
oops, just ignore me
hi there (don't ignore that please)
Hell, ak! Are you trying to get into the penalty box? I just put a blueberry & lemon cheesecake in there.
dashes off to penalty box for snack
LOL, jac... think I'll monkey around for the 9's... or just hang out here....
me 7/32 the 1st one anyone?
there are so many bells and whistles on this babble expert i might never discover them all
me7/32 - I do know that word, now you come to me***** it!
did i me***** that i am off to the penalty box
did i hear cheesecake?? dont MAKE me post the entire list!! ;)
ty aknitter
phantom--terrapin
Don't eat all the cheesecake, aK. We don't want you being sick.

Hi, mel
hi, meli
Hello Jell
and Pam and everyone else
can't puzzle right now to busy eating
82 words to go
Oh heck! I made a mixed fruit crumble earlier. I'd better put that in the penalty box, too.
i do love cheesecake so i guess the trip was worth it LOL
I dunno what my family are going to say when they look in the fridge and find only crumbs!
hehe
fruit crumble? is there whipped cream too
There might be... ak.
anopther thing i made for the party apple crumble pie
Paul would cringe if he heard you ask for that though, ak. He likes his crumbles with custard.
if there had been leftovers i'd have put them in the penalty box
humble crumble pie
tim - Lovely! I haven't made that for ages.
it is much easier than furmbling with top crust:)
and the mini cheesecakes have cookies for crust which is real easy
'furmbling' sounds ruder than 'fumbling', somehow. LOL!
hmmm is this an english / american thing again? apple or berry crumble to me is fruit baked up with cinnamon, sugar, and a topping of rolled oats, brown sugar and finely chopped nuts and butter. custard is puddign
Tim - the secret is to keep the pastry cool and lift it on the rolling pin. Voila!
lol jac
shoot, let's try this again! hello! i came in a few minutes ago, and then the phone rang immediately.
custard here is runny yellow stuff
The English often top their desserts with custard, not whipped cream.
ak - custard is a runny, yellow, sweet sauce here unless it's a baked custard.
bang
roommates have banana nut muffins and pineapple danishes.... MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmm
i am okay witht he bottom crust
Hi, feather.
jac is it still made with eggs?
Tim - LOL. Would you care to rephrase that last remark.
it is top crust that i hate making
Sorry - my lavatorial sense of humour.
mmmmmm....i'm gaining weight just reading the chat log
I made the yummiest things this last week end, I used a cupcake pan and pressed oatleam cookie dough into them baked them into little cups then filled the cups with cheesecake and topped with strawberries was soooooo yummy
:) can't control that jac:)
ak - Yes, but we let the nice people at the Birds' Custard Factory make it all into a powder for us that we combine with sugar and milk.
otameal cookie dough that should of read
sounds yummir mel
(For the sauce, that is, ak.)
sounds super-yummy meliae!
LOL jac but i still want whipped cream
wondered what oatleam was
meliae - sounds nice.
ar6/18 please?
easy to serve too since they are in little portions
shit
yup
oops double ****
Okay, ak. I'll get the whip, erm I mean whisk, out.

Hi, inge.
ne + not bottom
we just got back from the lake, where i sat chest deep in wonderful water for about an hour, so i feel fab!

ne5/12 + plural 6 = ne + pinnacle or peak.
Hi Jacula, Jellen, meliae, majmom, and whoeer else is hee
tim - anyway, why?

ar6/18 please? and en7/28 while we're at it?
ty jellen

oh sounds nice and it feels so good to let the water take off some of the weight
en 7 = go in + not off
Leave off the last letter, AK
ar 6: in music light as air

a + *** de Janeiro in **uth America
gotta love those kitties
so6/21 = to quiet or to send to sleep. so + place where coal comes from (deep hole) + vowel.
one day, as a kitten, she unravelled the whole of my then favourite jumper ....
now that's talent.
brb
cute kitty
I was actually quite impressed after the initial shock!
The secret of knitting with cats around is to keep the ball(s) of wool behind you so the cat's can't see them moving. Well, that's the theory. Doesn't always work.
ty jacula -- there goes the buzzer for supper !
May I please have a clue for the Po 6,21 <after the wall hanging and before the witches brew>
or to have a second ball of yarn?
po + adolescent
ty Jellen
my cat is half-burmese. she has the burmese sneakiness and cleverness. she's a brat
feather - if you're doing Fairisle knitting you have 6 to 8 balls of yarn.
mitten snuck out on the back porch (screened in) while i was taking out the garbage yesterday and i didn't know it and she was stuck out there for a few hours
mmmm yarn
aw! mitten!
po6 = Irish moonshine. (Made from potatoes.)
can never have enough
I crochet and I keep the balls of yarn in a coffee can with a lid on it, I cut a whole to feed the yarn up through, balls roll around in the can but the cat cant see them
it was lucky i had scallops for dinner and was going to let the cats eat the remnants before i left for the movie or she'd have been stuck out there all evening too!
oh, kitty torture then jac!
Speaking of wool... theme6/21 sheep is prized for its fine wool.
but the skin lies in deep wrinkles, making them harder to shear.
poor baby!
very smart mel
AE 6/21 please
hursh did not know that
hursh - No one said the getting of fine wool would be easy! LOL
i must not have that sheep one yet.
Me6/21s are the Sharpeis of the sheep world.
i always thought sheering a sheep was like in the cartoon ... you just unravel them LOL
feather - Spanish sheep.
now I want to see a coatless me****
ak - LOL! No. It's a noisy, smelly and sweaty business. I should know; I've helped do it enough times.
had to get onelook out for that one, but ty
Ata - now there's a thought!
feather, no baby yet <gg>!
ae + most of not old (**w) + most of America (**A)
clue for the second or 4/4
what's <gg>? haven't seen that one before
oops phone brb
ae6/21 - add 2 vowels one before and one after the second letter of the a4 (rear orifice).
ty Jell
Feather, it's a giggle or in this game a giglet
ahh, gotcha
nope, no baby yet
I thought it meant 'Good grief!' LOL
I'm planning my daughter's shower and already her m.i.l. is mad at me. I don't want one with 27 of her closest relatives.
or4/4= scraps of food
I always thought it meant good game =)
goofy grin
meliae - that's Bruce Forsyth's catchphrase.

Good one, hursh.
po 7/32 think of something happening after an event and then two of the second vowel and a one hump letter
Governor-General (gg)
po7= most of after + adolescent
ty
2nd po7: add 2 vowels and a consonant after the po4/5 before it. Or... po + snake + young adolescent.
hi briefly
Her m.i.l planned the wedding shower with 150 people aned invited 300 people to the wedding.
hi jilli
Hi, jilli
Hi to you, too, jilli. Why are you only in your briefs?? Saucy minx! *grins*
There can be more than one baby shower, can't there?
Haw haw jac

looking at your briefs, jac?
May I please have a clue for the LAST Pr ?
LOL, jilli.
pr* (not amateur)+ English drink
and i'll take either pr7/32 while we're on that section
Last pr - pr7/36 = sea god or someone who can change in a chameleonlike fashion.
thats a 6 Jellen , I need the last Pr , it's Pr 7,36
I was cluing for majmom.
last po 7/32 any clues?
pr7/32 - add a consonant to the pr6/21 before it.
tx jellen
the last pr 7 is the Latin singular of the pr 6 preceding
ok, got the last pr7/32, need the first pr7/32 now please...or prease? lol
feather - I just clued that at 7:41
jac, i must have blinders on to you or something!
first pr 7 is a small por 5 (that drink salute)
oh, no, that's the second one. i have that one.
sp 8/45
Hi, again
well, just got halfway which was my goal for this grid -- bridge night and the day was busy so gotta go -- back well after the flip
*is so confused now*
bye jilli
sp 8: More athletic

Finally got the last Pr TY

ty jellen! ok, now i'm only lost on the pr7/36. i know it was clued, but didn't get it.

Congrats, feather!!!! And yes, that is pretty funny.
well. shows wayt is on your mind, feather. Bravo for ireworks, have to check laundry, BB\

Hi, bookwomen
sp 9/60
thanks Jellen
hi, bookwomen
this guy is good, but i'm not getting why the crowd is in hysterics over him!
ty for the no clue. i needed that. still 34 words hiding
hi bookwoman
sp9/60 - 'in a lively fashion' (musical direction)
I've been away doing a couple of things domestic, btw.
brb
sp9/60 ends like the brilliant (or virtu***) violin player, for instance.
I am back. 149 to go and no fireworks expected tonight.
HI
Feather - just read your comment about the 'u' word being you last. Yes, that's funny.
I don't expect fireworks either, scrabbler
TY for that sp9 clue!
Hi, scrabbs and herin.
hi, scrabs!!!!
and, yes, thanks for that sp9
Love the Icon Jac
Hi Pam, Jac and everyone else out there in Babble Land!
ty Jacula gc
pam - I assume you have the other sp9? 9/66 (ethereal)
nope, do not, jac...
ty for the Sp 9's guys !
y/w, Kristine.
thanks for the clues. Scabbler i too will not be finishing today
still can't get the elusive ethereal one, jac
TY for the other sp9--I am feeling rather sp9,66 and ready for REM sleep!
pam - add a round vowel + 'not them but **' to the strong drink or ghost sp6/21.
Kristine How is Lynn going?
She's fine !
Scrabbs - is that sp9/66 or spaced out? LOL.
hmmm, that is the one I have, jac,,,,
Sleep deprived, overdosed on work, and ready for vacation!
guess i need the music one...
Go back to my music clue then, pam.
I may be barseawarks here but you 2 live near each other?
the me 7's?
Scrabbler didnt you just have a holiday?
sp6/21 + 'this is *h ** easy!' LOL.
Yes, I had a 6 day break 2 wks ago, and now this is a 5 day stay in another place in the Adirondack Mtns.
saw that clue, can't figure it out, jac,,,
herin - 'barseawarks'???
Nice
pam - just gave you another.
Backwards Jac
when do you leave, scrabs?
Oh, right, herin.
I think she might mean, a**backwards/backa**wards?
well technically its arse backwards
I will leave Wed AM, after I get my kayak on top of my friend's car next to hers.
was trying to be polite :D
Scrabbs - you job's been stressful of late, I take it?
We are trying to avoid taking 2 cars and my bars are not wide enough for 2 kayaks, but hers are.
have fun, scrabs...
Thats a brilliant idea scrabbler
jac, can't see the *h** easy, sorry...
hi folks!
Sp 6,21 + 4th vowel + you are ** beautiful to me !
BTW, Scrabbs - we now have 2 more guinea pigs. They are victims of a broken home and so daughter (who is about to go off to 2 music festivals, then a holiday in Africa and then off to Uni) decided to adopt them for ME to look after. They're 2 old boys (4 years' old).
It's always stressful--that is the nature of the work. Lots of kids (the fun part, except for most adolescents) and parents (many not fun due to parental anxiety, or demands).
I have never had GP's as pets--are they fun? (little squealers, right?)
Jac cute. I want a hamster but they are banded in aus
thanks, I finally got it! Thank you all.
Scrabbs - they are great fun, especially as huose pets because they talk. Our old Mother G/P used to love listening to classical music and the soothing voice of Jennie Murray on 'Woman's Hour' during her pregnancy.
May I please have a clue for the Sp 7,32 ? <after the 9,66>
y/w, pam.
I am so tired that I forgot about the list! Silly Scrabbler! I am sitting here thinking , How am I going to find more words? I should just go to bed but this is relaxing for me and I need to unwind.
Kristine - plural strong drink or ghost.
Scrabbs - I understand that completely.
Have a good day everyone. I am off for a girly day much needed whinging.
oh smack me hard with the fish ty
That is hilarious, Jacula!! My last hamster, Oliver, is 2 1/2 yrs old now, and has a tumor growing. He will not last too much longer. I am undecided about getting another hamster or just focusing on 4 bunnies--lots of work!
I must go to bed soon... though it's too warm up there to sleep... got a family funeral to attend and I'm being collected at 11am. Oh! Not in 'a box'! I meant my ex in-laws are giving me a lift. LOL
an 5?
Geez, Jacula---I am glad you are not being picked up by pallbearers!
LOL, jac and scrabs!
Scrabbs - So am I!
Scrab--have you an a/c in the home at all?
Got my minor op the next day (small alien growth on end of nose to be removed and tested). Bit scared, to be honest.
(((((()))))), jac
Nope, no AC here. The heat typically does not get terrible here in the woods. Overnite it actually gets chilly. I used a comforter last night despite our heat wave.
an 5, please
Alien growths are not nice...have it excised and checked out.
wow, scrab, that is something
wow, scrab, that is something
I think jac and I might be jealous of your need for a comforter
*Whacks Kristine with a shark and says, 'Thanks' to pam for the hug.*
I go to bed with no covers on in the summer, then cover up during the night when it is cold.
HEY
lol
Is a comforter the US word for a hot water bottle or a wheat cushion?
Or is Scrabbs sucking a 'dummy' at night? (Child's 'comforter'.)
My mind is boggling!
a blanket, jac, one that needn't be in a duvet cover--it's a duvet...
I'm not weboggling though! Not yet, anyway.
It is my fiance, Mr REM, LOL.....a quilt-like thick blanket
Oh, right, thanks pam.
If I don't get these last 11 fricken words ; feel free to kill me with that shark !
LOL, scrab
I have a top sheet that is my blanket in the summer.
The language differences are funny--a word like a "comforter" can mean other things.
Go go kristine!
Though, tonight I have the a/c on in the bedroom. The dog is MUCH happier with it cooling off. The rest of the condo is, well, tropical...
go, kristine, go
My Other Half (neither husband nor fiance) has been away for a few days (due back Thursday). I've missed him lots but I think I might have died of the heat if he'd been radiating it in the bed this week! Why ARE men like giant radiators in bed, and we are like coolers? LOL
All women, apparently, (though he has NOT checked them all!) have 'cold bums and cold feet'.
At the preschool today, where I am the school doc (a school for developmentally challenged kids) a teacher brought in her Black Lab named Hondo. He was so sweet with the kids.
I often sleep with socks on even in the summer.
9 left all Re's ! UGH
Me, too, Scrabbs. Down to naturally low b/p in my case.
Poor Kristine!
me, too, scrabs. the advantage to the socks is the lotion i slather on to reclaim my heels...
any hints for ae 6/21 friends?
There's that, too, pam. But then they have to be cotton socks and not nice fleecy ones.
hi babblers
soten
opps
any news on feather?
typing in the wrong box
I don't sleep in the fleecy kind for that reason jac!
type in Re's love please lol
ae6 = the green bloom like on brass as a colour. Or add 2 'e's' to the lower orifice (an4).
i havent seen her on today. but, it is getting closer and closer to her baby's do date. i just wonder...
Maadi - percy is still in situ.
which re's do you need kris?
ok
hmm let me pick one Re 6,18 after fishing rod
re4/4 - not imagined.
re5/12 - kingdom.
re4/5 - paper quantity.
re4/4 - fisherman's line holder.
orient

re6/18 - to give way, after protesting or being cross. re7 - verb form.
Thanks, Madi! That was very merciful--I needed that one. Keep going Jacula & Madi!

re5/12 - to get another ma4.
np scrabs! (really)
re5/10 - of the kidneys.
re6/21 - to retitle.
Hmm, not when you get another boyfriend, remale doesn't work!
re4/4 - to hire.
re5/10 = to hire with a vowel at the end.
i typed in remale several times.
Scrabbs - if the chaps get tired, you may need to re*** the fort! re5/12.
Now, where had I got to?
Aha, got it--TY
re5/10 - verb form of the hiring word.
ty jacs
re5/10 - to knot again maybe?
has anyone seen feather on today??
Jacula---you are a clueing machine!!
re5/10 - old fashions come around again. re = plural.

re4/4 - an abbreviation we use for 'returns'.
jac, can't noodle/monkey that a 6 word you clued a bit ago... help, all!
re6/21 - to make melodious again.
how bout either one of the al's jac?
That's the re's all done!
Any questions?
i just havent seen her on today, and, being close to time for the baby, i couldnt help but wonder...
Scrabbs - just a fast typist trained in the old way. LOL
*clapping loudly*....encore, encore...How about the long en words?
ywp, i think we all wonder about her these days, madi
Madi - feather was here just before you arrived.
Do you ever "wonder" about me? LOL, you should.
no scrabs. i havent. srry! off to the chocolate penalty box for me...
en9=The infolding of the margin of an eyelid
al4/4 = a + Man's name (sounds like a meadow).

gotcha, thanks
Jacula will be getting cross now, Kris.
ty ty ty jac
alen
blast! i keep typing things in the wrong box...
not a word love, sorry
lbd - that's a cruel clue. It's the proper definition.
I got en9, as it is a medical term.
al4/4 = beer + same end vowel again.
evenin' evahbuddy
I got it, too, Scrabbs, but only because my Uncle's an eye nurse.
hi babblers
Hi Jes
hi jes
PING
*Last seen on TV pulling a woman's eyelashes out!*
Hi, Ping.
where is that en located, scrab? inside the lid?
Hi Ping
Hi, ping
that sounds painful, jac
hey DAWG, jacula, scrabbler, jes, ping madi
hi dawggie and ping
down to 2 !
sp 9/60?
I think it proably was, Jes. However, ingrowing eyelashes are more painful than the pulling out process in the end.
En9 = the condition in which the eyelashes curve inward and brush against the eye--can cause scleral or corneal irritiation.
en7.28= the alimentary canal; the digestive tract.
hmmm - hi just said hello to myself - please keep your diagnoses to yourselves, okay?
thanks, scrab
nan, ghost+ *h **la mio
hi nan
HI PING!!!
Hi Scrabbler!
I need an elaboration on the Re 6,18 and 7,28 PLEASE !
So, ping, you wouldn't want to hear about a fellow Babbler's preference for a bottom crust? LOL.
Are you feeling ignored, Ping? How are you?
ty dawger
We were talking about putting 'crumble' tops on pies, btw.
hi nan
wait i got the 6
nah, i'm hobbling along in this grid
hi all
I like those crumble tops---Dutch Apple pie!
hi ping -- been around, just lots of interruptions today -- have our 13 yr old granddaughter with us -- so am only on line when she is!

duh -- thanks
nite Scrab
Come on, Jacula, I want to see a curtsy from you!
lol yw nan
night, scrabbler
sleep sweet, scrabbler
congrats kristine
ty ping
Ping - it was about pastry. The Babbler in question could deal with the bottom part of a pie but couldn't get the top pasty on. I did advise how best to achieve this.
i thought maybe it was symbolism whooshing o'er my head - it's about pie, right?
Scrabbs - I wouldn't even curtsey to HRH if I met her, and certainly didn't do that when I found myself next to the Princess Royal (PA) in the wild flower meadow tent at The Royal Show.
how's in going, jes?
Yes, Ping. It was about pie, but my lavatorial humour took over when she typed, 'I can cope with the bottom crust'.
going pretty good, i think.
had the horses in the yard to mow it, so i don't have to do that this week... could use some rain though, cuz things keep lighting on fire
we've had tons of rain here - but no horses to mow the grass - always something
jac, was the memorial service today?
Scrabbs - I say that as a Royalist.
heh. it's been WAY too dry here this year...
en 7/28?
en5.10+ not off
Ping - for Diana? No, it's later this month.
en 9?
31st Aug.
en9 is the eyelids/lashes turning inward thing we were talking about earlier, nan.
i thought you had one to attend before your other half returned home
Oh, ping. No, that's a funeral. It's at 12.30 today.
en9=en+ the *****c of Capricorn+ not off
that's what i meant
there's an 80 acre fire about 10 miles away right now.
Good genes though, Doris (whose funeral it is later) and her brother Gordon who died last year... He died at 92 and she died at 91 and is being cremated the day after what would have been his 93rd birthday.
ty dawger, ty jac, ty dawger
jes, are you worried?
So, given the longevity on my Mum's side of the family and the same on my ex-hubby's... my kids should both live to ripe old ages... I hope... so long as they're healthy.
no, i'm downhill and it's going uphill
it's just getting old to be breathing smoke all the time. it's been so dry and so hot that there are new fires daily
*Prays for no changes in the wind for jes*
they'll get it out soon... and then something the other side of town'll catch...
i've never lived in a place with fires - as you might guess, our natural disasters are usually floods and hurricanes
jes - you have been suffering from fires and we here in UK from floods. Funny old world!
i hear you jes. tired of the smoke and the smell
stuck on the last or 5,6,6 --- help, I'm drowning!
well, it's one of the bad parts of living in a desert, i guess... dry + hot + stupid people doing stupid things...
Our new Labour PM certainly got a baptism of fire... first half the country got flooded, then Putin started playing mind games with war planes and then Foot & Mouth struck again.
eew
Didn't know about the foot & mouth, jac
sorry, been wandering off, watching The Closer...

Hi, nut.
DAWWGY !, pingy, jac-e
Who was the unsure, giggling guy in your last podcast?

didn't you recognize him jac...from american idol?
or4/4 = or + French male form.

let's race, nan
or5/12 = or + what you use to hold an old-fashioned diaper (nappy) in place.
or6/21 (2nd) is the plural of that.
or6/21 (1st) += or + to long for or a coniferous tree.
or4/4 - scraps left after a me4/5 (feast)
That concludes the or clues.
thanks, jac!

RENSTER
Hi Ren.
yayayayya nan!!!
oh! we had trolls? did you report them to dr nut?
Hi LBD
where's the trolls?
I didn't, no, but others did. It was around 12:30 a.m. this morning. Some of the foulest language I have heard in a long time
and disgusting
oh oh oh!!!
and not report to dr god....to dr nut...DR NUT!!!
their screen names alone would make me blush
I always miss the fun!
Dear Dr. Nut, There were trolls on the chatlog this morning (Monday) at approx. 12:30, they were crude and disgusting. Whatever are we to do? Sincerely, Mom
I'm back. Just been texting O/H.
nut loved to roast trolls
hey ata
sorry Nut, I misread the Dr part
hi ata
one even listed their telephone number.
Hi Atalante
Blueberry and lemon cheesecake with roasted macedemia nuts and crushed trolls base.
troll hookers perhaps?
Mom - if thet/p no was listed i was a stupid kid!
go back and see the chat Ren, it was right after the flip.
crushed trolls? wouldn't they be a bit bitter?
ok
Jacula, I didn't know words like that existed when I was a kid.
Ata - lots of brown sugar would sort the bitterness out!
in lieu of capers - crushed trolls...hmmmmm
I am sure you are right though.
School should be starting soon for most of them
Mom - I don't know what words you are referring to but I suspect I didn't know most of them until I was 16-18.
crushed trolls should only be used for paving roads... :)
ne 6/21 please
bwa ha ha ha ha
I was out of high school.
read the trolls, gives me an idea for a babblecast
what Nut?
you'll find out soon enought
Bash - did you know that they used crushed Milla & Boon (romance) novels to help lay the M6 in the UK? LOL
did you read the chat Nut?
I asked Dr. Nut, like you wanted me to.
sure did mom...they were very educational trolls
i sued reycled phone books and news papers to fill holes in my drive
weren't they
No, Jac - not familiar with those books, either. Better to drive on than read? :)
thanks mom!
Nut - I mean to say - that the best way to make a b/cast is to read the day's chat and do your own take on it. Then the protests will roll in....
you're welcome Nut. Glad to help
i didn;t sue them actually - i use them
I was wondering about that Ren
jac...i worry about accidentally offending some one - i suffer from fims (foot in mouth syndrome)
sometime nuts goes on a fimming frenzy
'tis more fun to offend on purpose!
does that mean that you have toejam on bread... sorry, coudln't stop myself
Around here, it doesn't help to be thin skinned.
i can be ob knock shous
Bash - Yes, even in the case of a few friends of mine tat used to write them. The females, back in the 80s, when I was last forced to read one because a friend who wrote one gave me it to critique, the females were so feeble!
ok, not THAT sorry
ok...so off to bed now...good night babblers.
night nutty
Good night Nut, good to see you.
Well, that's not quite true. They either went from feeble to maniacal or murdered.
JBP, that is funny
nite, nut
ah. Sounds like a perfect used for them, then, Jac. Let's go for a drive! :)
have to run -- good night all and thanks again :)
good night Nan, pleasant dreams

Go Meliae, go
hi lbd, how's the smoke up there?
can I slam you all with clues please, lol
I am relaxed, LBD, first day with the kids gone, and I got so little done *proud un-mama look* feels nice to procrastinate without guilt!
Atalante, I had to tell my husband about them
Madi - if you think you and your multip;le personalities are 'funny' then good luck to you.
Goodnight.
*looks around nervously* trolls? did someone forget to replace the troll-fresh'ner again?
Harp, it's thick and we're surrounded by it!
where are the kids Stid, if I am not being nosy
if anyone has not read the chat, plz do so and contact dr.god immediatly! i dont know how to contact him but it needs to me done.

are they talking evacuation for you Harp? they're evacuating Seely.
oh harp, that's just no good. there seem to have been an awful lot of fires near residential areas this year... and not just newer areas, either
I am having probs with AR 5 words I have the one that is like where a sporting event is held, missing the other 3 5/10
So Sorry Harpjane.
the little mermaid Meliae
AE 6 please? I cannot seem to see it at all
Anyone ever heard of the 1957 film, 'The Three Faces of Eve'? It's a classic. However, some people on here have even more faces.
the TOWN of Seely Lake? omg. No, I won't need to be evacuated, I'm in downtown Hamilton but they are evacuating one of the areas near Darby
mel, ar4.4 is the surrounding perimeter.
how do you know this, Jac?
thanks for that ar 5 Mom
hi, again...
you're welcome Stid
Hi Pam
Ata - I know because whenever that person arrives a dozen others do, too.
Yeah, the town, surrounding ar4.4 have already been evacuated. about 600+ people already moved out
wow, lbd and harp... still haven't heard from my brother--he is in Missoula, harp....
I have heard of the movie, but never seen it
I have the 4's just need the 5/10's
And, as I said, I'm off to bed now. Not in the mood for fake newbies.
(email me if you want, my email is in my profile) oh - I see ...
mel, add another vowel at the end of the ar4.4
If he's in town he'll be fine, forest fires behave differently 0nce they get into a town
ty go tthat one
good night Jacula
{{{pam}}} I am sure he is okay...
a+not fake
