hey abmor
Is it too soon to drop some witty clues into the chat?
hello
Hi, abmoraz
maybe a little early jellen
Rats! Thought so.
It's never too soon for me, Jellen
but this has been a weird night/morning/afternoon
I could use a hint about that bottom row I
I'll abide by community ways.
have the 8s been called?
I don't have the bottom row I, jilli. Sorry
who deems it a rule
nothing much has been called as far as I know -- there have been huge lags
oh look, it's been an hour!
go for it jell
there was a pi8 called
well, there's a di 8
boo ... estonia doesn't count
widdles is almost there
I don't have any clever clues to drop, actually.
trust you, jilli. lol
lol
As is waggles almost here.
:D
ah Jellen, and here we've been waiting for witty clues
everybody have all the 7s and 8s?
I hope everyone has encantered the horsey words.
hardly doc
LOL, Dr. B.
lol jellen
lol, drb, I have 1
don't be silly, DrB :)
but a witty clue would be welcome
oh jellen
I have one 7.
pi 7 x 2, wa 7
(I figured people were posting things in vain the last hour)
I have a horsey 5/6
yay! greyed W
thanks drb got the wa7
pi7/32= two letter horsey plural
Could I have a clue for the wa7?
what the horse pulls, alt spelling jellen
I j=keep seeing wapiti
ty, Fran
yw
jilli, there's medication for that
And the pi7, not horsey?
lol, Fran
still looking for that one jellen
by "horsey" I assume you mean the exploding car?
Yes, I forgot about that, ab.
yep abmor
there are two kinds of things horses pull, almost the same
oh jilli! i have the bottom i.
ne4/4 is another car, I don't think these explode.
nope, jellen, not unless you tick off the mafia. My brother drives one and if he hasn't made it explode, it pretty much can't
lol, abmoraz
What is the bottom row I, Fran?
word that describes something that is put into something else.
it's not the parrot from Alladin
in5/10
thanks Fran
yw flosey
47 words, and I'm off to bed for real this time

nighty night flosey
Got it. Thanks, Fran!
9 left and I think I've already typed half of them but they did not take
yw jellen
Go, Dr. B.!
helen keller, I've played babble for several years but rarely chat. But the other day someone mentioned your profile. Want to say how sorry I am for your losses. I lost my spouse of 35 years in 2006 and feel his loss every day. Was wondering if you have any relatives in Rice Lake, Wisconsin? Draganowski's own a great Italian restaurant here with the best pizza I've ever had.
wow ... random and heartfelt
go doc go!
hi maribel, if helen is on, she's not chatting
thanks fran. she showed up on "who's online" so thought I would try.
Hi, maribel
Hi jellen & all others. Seen so many of you chatting for so long, I feel that I know you. :)
afternoon everyone :)
hi sunny!
I found a wa7/60
Hi, sunny
Fran! Did you get wet or did the storm pass around you?
just returned and glad I scrolled -- thanks fran for the bottow row I! Now I can go to bed - curvy result -- 33 found, 88 to go lol
hey Jellen
we had the most beautiful day today sunny! it's going to miss us totally, we might get some rain tomorrow.
nice numbers jilli! see you tomorrow
Yay, jilli! Have a good night!
phew, fran ( re flossy)
nite Jilli
yes, i think all the babblers wished it away from me. :-)
Hi everyone! Fran I saw that hurricane hit the islands and thought of you - glad to see it's missing you.
Hi, babbz
hey there jellen how goes it
hi babbz! thanks, we're glad too, i've experienced enough storms for a lifetime.
Pretty good, now the site's calmed down.
Which island is yours, Fran?
I'm on Oahu Jellen.
i hear you. My daughter is moving from Chicago to Florida in two weeks and will be working in the town that hurricane andrew wiped out back in 1992 - so i've got hurricanes on the brain right now.
she just needs to know how to be prepared babbz, after a while it's second nature.
very true, and they usually give pretty good warnings, too -
it's all a matter of culture.
you know, take warnings seriously, always have supplies ready. if you respect mother nature, you'll be fine.
It's kinda how us northerns laugh when the south shuts down for a 1/2 inch of snow
and they snicker when a 15 minute thunderstorm can halt everything up here
that's so true abmor
it's all a matter of what the area is prepared for
I used to laugh at that snow thing when I lived in the Montreal area, but now I see it's a different kind of snow (slippery) and it doesn't get cleared out here in the warm (sort of) west coast
Me, i won;t move to the south cause no matter hose nice the weather is 10 months a year, it's the 2 months of hurricanes that I can do without
we moved from the north to south and laughed about 1/2 inch of snow until we tried to drive. they have no equipment. no salt, no snow plow nothing. we wait for the sun to melt everything.
about a year and a half ago, we had an earthquake and power outage that shut things down for several hours here in Oahu. in Guam it would have been business as usual minutes after the quake.
it still amazes me how Mother Nature can unleash such fury though. Tornadoes, tsunamis, hurricanes, wildfires
where are you, ab?
it's awe-inspiring and sometimes scary...i was in an 8.1 quake in Guam and i don't want to do that again.
holy cow fran - that was a big one
going to take a break, singing bee is on
my friend is a film editor on that show
bye fran -- take care
Bye, Fran
bye
abmoraz -- where are you?
I guess ab is buried in the grid

what's this? Can't I be away from babble half an hour to talk to mrP without babble going crazy? ;)
It's been going crazy for several hours, sprite.
it is slower than a snail in shackles!
lol, sprite. Goodbye again.
Typing this and wondering if it will appear. Babble has gone on holiday or we broke it. Have dropped Jamie an email although I'm sure others will have already done that.
bye Jellen! *waves*
we will see... sudoku does not work here either. Might be a server problem. Still good to know you are around, FMitch ;) The lag makes chatting so tough it is awfully quiet now.
just reloaded page. are we still having problems?
nite everyone :) havve had to refresh 6 times to gets words to add. Will try later. Hope we haven't broken it .
nah, we haven't. We are good kids. ;) Sleep well sunny.
Sudoku will be on the same server I guess. It's a shame as it is a fun and fast grid this morning.
Sorry lots i have emailed the main man too
lol yes, and I am typing words like mad, then waiting for them to finally register (or not), which takes minutes (literally), and I am sure at the end I will have to find words I already entered.
sorry 'bout what, lady? Did YOU break babble? :D
I hit enter key like a few times
missing a n word off the n in the fourth column. have the lights. what's missing, pls?
well, sudoku opens for me now, that is progress at least
Good morning/evening all. It looks as though we're up and running again.
yes, I think so too, hi Haz :)
rmcc - the thing in the middle of your face? Morning Haz
I think I am missing the same one, rmcc
hi haz and sprite
Clues are up!
Hello to one and all.
thank-you sooo much, lickerty
lickety! How was golf and the teambuilding? *hugs*
this is weird. I do have the face thing, this N looks like the first N from which it can come... and still I have only 2/3 registered on that N tile.
Add the sometimes vowel to it
FMitch, you are the best, thanks.
lol yw
don't laugh, I was making such a big thinking mistake that it would have taken me at least an hour to figure it out! I was thinking: 2x the gas/light plus the face thing, what the heck can be gone wrong?
hello?
earth to lady, do you read?
why is gawd not valid? Like in 'Oh gawd you devil!" ?
Because Enable is a perverse and petulant child, thats why
ah yes, how could I forget that!
Oh cookery Queen, Haz, are you there?
I am.
Though I may relinquish my crown if you ask me anything hard.
Ah she appears in a puff of smoke :) If you have some already cooed prawns, do you think you could marinade them to give a bit of extra flavour?
*cooked
FMitch cooes her prawns... I am in awe
Would cooed prawns be ones killed by a dove?
LOL I dispair at myself sometimes!!
Ah, prawns. I should explain that I have an allergy to the dear things. I love them, but unfortunate consequences have arisen every time I eat them. So I don't cook them. I'm not sure about marinading cooked things.
:D I was enjoying it! And I don't know the answer to that either.
I had forgotten that, I will try it and see what happens and let you know.
Would you believe that one prawn cracker (how much prawn is in a prawn cracker) had me out in huge hives. Eating the real McCoy is even more dramatic.
serious allergy that is! I think maybe you should not really be chatting about them, Haz... ;)
It's such a shame, because I love them. But it's just not worth it. I'm not sure about other shellfish because of my fear that the same or worse will happen.
You are right sprite, same sort of thing as just looking at a cream cake and you put on 2lbs!
Phone.....
prawn crackers... would that be krupuk?
oh yes FMitch, with me it is cheese. See, now I am 2lbs heavier.
That sounds more like a sneeze sprite. They are white and deep fried and served with Chinese meals
yup, krupuk it is :)
hi all :)
this is a pic: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krab benchips
hey Ata! *hug*
Yay Ata :)
Hello
and lynxxx! Hi :)
((((lynxxx))))
and lynxxx toooo
clue pls, ga6/24?
Yes sprite those are the Haz poisoners :)
Hi Sprite - did your husband get anywhere?
Hi Rose!
bet spangle likes them though!
And I'm back.
what! Haz has been poisoned!!!!!
not yet, lynxxx. Looks like nobody really knows what this is about. We are trying to get some advice from an independent society we are a member of.
whew! she's OK
Relax, lynxxx! We were just talking about my unfortunate reaction to prawns.
Haz is safe... she knows her limits ;)
and the limit is a krupuk
40 foot bargepoles....
Sprite....Sheesh, how ridiculous - hopefully its all a horrible misunderstanding - and a computer glitch as carlee was suggesting. Fingers crossed it works out swiftly for you
found the ga6. clue pls, go5/14, the last one?
thanks! I really really hope so, but with how things have been going for us the last couple of years, I am really scared this is another uncontrollable disaster out of nowhere. But good babble vibes must make a difference, right? :)
don't have them yet, rmcc, sorry
waaaah!
* sits in corner, sucking thumb*
The go5/14 I have looks like three quarters disappeared (go plus consonant) finishing off with two vowels.
now now, there there... *gives little rmcc a hug* You go play and all will be well, I promise.
It may not be the one, though.
Sprite - Remember that lending institutions/insurance companies like good stable customers (which I am sure you both are) so even if worst happens they would, I am sure, accomodate your situation to retain your custom
Or go plus a rearrangement of Scots John of Bond creator fame.
oh, like the flower! Beg****! Thanks Haz.
You're welcome.
TY Haz
yay!!!! thanx haz. now i've finished!
wooooot for rmcc!
Clever girl!
Congrats rmcc
can i come out of the corner now?
Great! Well done!
yay rmcc!
always, rmcc. :D
Not unless you stop sucking your thumb
I guess I should start the grid ...
this has to be longest grid ever, what with all the lags!
Yes, and that thumb can come out as well. Orthodontists cost money.
it is a fun one, Ata. And a fast one... if Babble keeps behaving now.
lol, lynxxx. i pwomisth
Funny you should say that Haz, as rmcc's last word is related to the jaw
but I want intonate!
it is?
well, you are not gonna get it :P
There you are, another new word for us.
but I *want* it!
that's alright, nothing wrong with wanting.
owwww I monkeyed the last 8!
never understood why enable doesnt accept pitot. maybe its capitalised
well i'll be buttered on both sides!the tip of the angle of the lower jaw.
that would be the position i hold when giving jaw support, right?
wtg sprite
I'm trying to think of the Formula 1 driver (Scots) with the incredible jaw line.
David Coulthard - he has a FIRM jaw.
A chiselled jaw I think they call it? Congrats spritey sprite
note to self: there are 2 x Y in this grid. Use that corner, you foghead.
Mills and Boon writers probably base their chisel-jawed heroes on him. (Disclaimer, I have never read one, I'm just surmising)
I believe you Haz
I knew you would, lynxxx.
LOL Haz, that reminds me of a classic M&B phrase "I love you" he husked in her ear!!! The verb to husk?
oh, my nose is hurting....I think its getting longer
LOL!
Lynxxx said a wooorrd
lynxxx said a wo-ord, lynxxx said a wo-ord!
Husk? It's even worse when you know that there's a cattle disease called husk!
ooooh, lyxxx said a word, lynxxx said a word
ROFL Brilliant
I did too - sorry
owwww.... well that's it. Nobody is husking in MY ears, and that's final!
LOL, Sprite. This is what I return to : D
hi
Hello NBoy, you always choose your moments to arrive!
LOL NancyB. Ah well, my ear would not even be to your liking, I bet...
Just a normal day in babble land Nancy, nothing special *grin*
Hiya NancyBoy
Hi Infernal
we make good on missed chat time from the lags earlier!
sprite have you seen it's an expert in sudodku :((
Oh Sprite, I'm sure your ear would tease and thrill me :) Haz, it's a skill...
ow fun! No, I just opened it to see if the server was back to work, did not yet look.
*grins at NancyB*
A skill, but admirable in one so young.
Well, I'm a big boy now Haz :) Just about.
hello all, is babble behaving now?
Sorry if i run away babble chat is NOT behaving
yes, looks back to normal, pink. Wb.
Pink IM me
Somethings are best not bragged about Nancy :)
Hi Pink
hi lynxxx, sprite and herin!!
like being able to husk
Do you think chisel-jawed heroes are more inclined to husk than less chisel-jawed ones?
in GW we have baked husks, I believe
until the cattle disease kills them... yes, I would think so, Haz.
Or, do hunks husk?
less I would say
maybe it is the anatomical construction of chisel-jaws that allows the husk
Yes, it probably impedes their speech
Have we any ENT specialists around?
it might be that lessening the chiselled-ness of the jaw is a side effect of the cattle disease.
At least we don't suffer from timber tongue - another cattle affliction.
TImber tongue and a chiselled jaw would be just too much.
or whirling disease, a well known fish problem
it would be tough husking with a timber tongue
is that especially in round fish bowls, Ata?
Cattle have a tough life and then throw in foot and mouth. The human version of course is foot in mouth.
Add in a touch of the Cavalier problem, Flycatcher's Syndrome, and we have a twitching, husky hunk.
pretty much! its a fish farm disease where the fish swim round madly in circles
foot in mouth, tong-tied and jaw-on-floor
must away, MM due home soon.any clues needed b4 i go?
poor fish
could someone please clue ji6/39 please??
*waves at rmcc* Lots of them, still 25 to go... thanks of offering though!
Colhad: like Br***** Spears
fish diseases arent very inventively named
Hello Colhad!
whirling disease, boils disease ...
ty Sprite
hello Lynxx
ji6 - or to rhyme with Miss Houston.
Functional and descriptive Ata
What's with the self-destructive stars with that name structure?
could someone clue no5/14 please??
fish scientists and people are prettymuch functional and descriptive
being like that killed the cat, Colhad.
no5/14 - a description of the curious
hugs to all the sickies. and special one to feather, on the birth of nick.*poof*
(did anyone notice the poem above?)
Bye rmc - have a good evening.
Bye rmcc
bye rmcc
Bye Rose !!!
bye rose!
*the poem below of course*
Must stretch my legs for a bit, back in a little while.
not sure what you mean Sprite - where?
bye FMitch
See you later, FMitch.
"being like that killed the cat, Colhad"
I mean, hey! AND cluing AND rhyming... where is my admiration? ;)
urf, laptop seems determined toinstall updates and restart. brb!
poor Ata :(
That was absolutely brilliant Sprite - I mean, really, I am just amazed at your versatility!
(ok?)
haaaaaaa recognition at last! Thanks lynxxx *takes a semi-modest bow*
Cluing, rhyming, drawing, driving, skills for which we all are striving. There is a babbler who does them all, Atalante stands ten feet tall.
ok, I stand corrected, sigh... I have to agree with that. *gives place of honor to Ata*
and you are a clever, clever girl too Haz
Darn - I thought it was Atalante who clued in rhyme - I've lost the plot, too much husk in ear
it wasn't me who husked, Haz!
I'll have to work sprite into a poem now....
sprite almost rhymes with everything ;)
Nice bit of alliteration, sprite!
Babbler sprite is always right?
:D Zen! Hi to you!
Hi sprite & everyone
argh... if that were only 1/10 true...
Hi Zenmed
Okay, so, light, sprite, right, bright, might, (we'll not include mite), sight, insight, delight. I've got an epic on my hands!
Good morning Zen, by the way.
umm ok, need another clue for no5/14 :)
Hi lynxxx from other side of the world
LOL! looking forward to it, Haz. Colhad: start with the protruding thing in your face... and make it "like that"
hi zenmed,colhad, haz et al..
Colhad, add the sometimes vowel to the facial feature.
Hello pink.
Hi pink & Haz
'She walks in beauty like the night'. Or does that sound familiar?
Is it happy Haz today?
I'm not sure, Zen - we've covered prawn allergies and cattle diseases along with chisel-jawed heroes.
Sounds a mite depressing all right
yes, it was as obvious as the facial feature, thanks Sprite and all, I was looking at the wrong NO :)
Do you ever husk in your wife's ear? FMitch, the authority on Mills and Boon novels, claims that men husk loving words into their beloved's ear.
greetings babblers
hi ChrisP
Morning Chris
lol Colhad! Don't feel bad, that happens. NO is a tough word!
hi chris!!
Okay - for sprite. 'Babblers come and babblers go, sprite remains a star aglow'
hi pink, lynxxx & colhad
owwwwww Haz, that is so sweet! Thank you!
hey ChrisP!
nice one Haz
You're welcome!
& sprite!
Never having read Mills & Boon, I would not be overly familiar with husking,Haz
but you are too young for the sweet nothings in her ear, Zen...
No, I'm not an expert either, but FMItch, with her attachment to the god of love, is obviousl familiar.
obviously...
And good morning CHris, by the way.
hi haz - i used to read mills & boons - can't ever remember coming across husking though
Too young???????sprite
well, almost anyway - that were the 50s!
Not sure about thatbut thanks for the comp.
Maybe it's a new phenomenon, then, Chris.
I have a fireworks display right before my eyes :)
wtg Colhad!
Congratulations!
(that is, if you not just hit your head or something)
Congrats Colhad! did you get Lickeys video for fireworks happening too?
congrats - i've still got a long way to go
ty SPrite. ty all for helping out with clues
yeh, the butterfly thing Lynxxx
my pleasure, Colhad!
good Colhad - and how do you like the BabbleExpert?
Just popped in before b'fast, but stomach says I must now pop out - bfn
enjoy, Zen :)
See you later, Zen.
Sprite spellz rite. There, a very short poem!
very good, I like the fact that when you find a word it is automatically checked off, don't have to do it myself anymore
LOLLL Ata! You crazy you :D
g'day Colhad. I just read your profile, I think you are the only babbler from Brisbane. My youngest son has just emigrated to Brisbane two weeks ago. I miss him already
hey ExWren! No RE's today... you must be a happy woman!
hi ExWren, almost summer too, be getting closer to 30 degrees soon
Hi ExWren long time no see, how's you?
well, Spring I guess, but Summer after that lol
Hi Sprite, haven't looked at the list yet, so hadn't noticed, I expect there are other pitfalls!
I am planning a visit, possibly next April, my husband would like to be there for ANZAC day.
well, I didn't see an R, so I thought I might be right, lol. Not using the list either.
Hello ExWren. I remember you talking about the prospect of having to wave your son and family off.
Hi ExWren
Hello all.
well, you could always visit Australia Zoo, Steve Irwin's park, not a bad place, went there not long ago
Good morning Scrabbler.
He had a great farewell party, about 150 people there, including a bouncy castle for the little ones
oh great, I get back from installing updates, and creature that runs my life decides she wants a walk ... be back after!
A day to remember, then.
about an hour or so drive north
See you later, Atalante.
bye Ata, enjoy the walk!
(I thought that said bouncy cake for a moment)
I hope you enjoyed it too ExWren - not too many tears
I haven't babbled very much recently, couldn't concentrate
its raining and gale-y. we wont be out for long LOL
It takes time to readjust, especially when they lived so close to you. I hope you feel more like yourself soon.
need some help pls. py 4/7?
I saved the tears for August 1st, his last afternoon. They had a 10.30pm flight, hoping the 18month old would sleep - he actually slept for nine and a half hours!
*hugs ExWren*
py4/7 - can either sound like a plural pastry confection, or py plus not out.
And DONE. <collapses> Perhaps now I should go get dressed...
Good for the baby - that was cooperative of him.
there are 2, tizer. py + not out and py + not no minus first letter
congrats nancyboy!
woooot for NancyB!
Well done NBoy - wear something fetching in honour of your early triumph.
(((((nancy boy)))))) congrats well done!!!
And good morning feather.
Congrats NancyBoy !!!!
Haz, what does fetching mean in that sentence? (Dutch girl speaking)
morning! the whole house is asleep except for me, so sneaking in for a little babble time! we (nick and i) were up at 3am nursing and babbling too
Oh Haz, don't I always? Shame I can't husk like a real pro =/ And thanks, everyone! <takes off for the shower>
ty
hi feather! Congrats on Nick! How are you?
Fetching means 'to be admired'.
grrrr - now I see that other Y
morning feather!!! did you both have a good night?
in fact, i was in here just as NB was starting the grid, lol!
thanks Haz :) and fireworks here too
Hi again. Feather hello too
Congratulations sprite.
Back from checking e-mail. Congrats NancyBoy.
well, good for the most part. had a middle of the night visit from daniel who was suddenly very awake, thus the reason we were up too, after i got daniel back in his bed
And yippee for Sprite now too!
Featherbee--is Nicholas nursing well?
Feather - Glorious news - congratulations - and your commentary in your blog was fantastic _ I felt as though I was in the delivery room with you
i'm doing very well physically. a bit tired sometimes, but what can you expect!
Hi Scrabbler
glad to hear you are well, feather! Hugs for you and the rest of your family. Hope you can enjoy every minute of it.
semi scrabbler....good latch and suck, etc, but my milk started coming in during the night last night, and he keeps only wanting one side during the night, so i was alternately sore!
almost missed your fireworks - Congrats Sprite!
Featherbee--I visited my friend and baby Cooper yesterday. Their first night home was exhausting and stressful, but nursing is progressing well.
thanks all! Hugs for all and thanks for your great company. I am off for now, have a pleasant time and happy babbling.
that's great! too bad it was stressful though
bye Sprite
Bye sprite - have a good day.
daniel nursed till 14 months, so i feel like an old pro at this
It is their first baby--even though she is a pediatric nurse practitioner she is a worrier.
Feather i recommended by friends Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Nursing Cream works a treat.
of course!
Great work, Featherbee!!
ok, i sense my time is limited before somebody wakes up....may i have a clue for either the J or the bottom row i?
thats good feather, i managed up until 4 months any longer, i wouldn't have any nipples left
i swear by lansinoh
ji6 - to rhyme with Miss Spears or Miss Houston
4 months is great! whatever amt of time you can do will only help the baby
congrat ty feather, but whats lansinoh?
cream for sore nips
lanolin based
cracked nipple cream
is that the brand name?
i've never had them cracked, because i use the lansinoh at the first sign of any tiny soreness. clears it right up.
yep, purple tube.
It took me several tries to get that ji6--TY
Think I'll get some of that for my daughter when she gives birth
if you can't find it on google let me know and i'll check the spelling
yes, as it can be expensive! great present!
I think you spelled it right--great stuff. About $8/tube.
I'll put it on her baby registry :-)
got the J, ty. bottom row i please?
in5/10
Feather also Palmers pure coco butter or shea butter (which is expensive) is fantastic on marks on the belly.
ok, it's embarrassing the amount of monkeying it took me to find that in5/10!
i had to but that stuff yesterday...funnily enough herin
ty herin
Going backwards is always to be considered in babble.
*buy
We'll excuse it, feather---sleep deprivation and childbirth.
i only had one little hormonal meltdown so far, as i realized i didn't have a pic of my mom, me and nick at the hospital all together. got over it, as she's promised we'll do a "group" photo today!
All finished. Iwas stuck on the go 5,14 but finally found it. Have a nice day all.
congrat angelina!!!
See, it will work out, Feather.
I have used shea butter on scars and bumps works a treat. feather your allowed to forget stuff
Yah ANgelina
thank you
hmm, i hear some squawks, but daddy's in charge right now...we'll see if he brings him ot
Yahooo Angelina Jolie!!!
tx scrab
i have now tried "gots" and "gotta"
gotta is definitely a word in Brooklynese
I love those newborn noises--squeaks, moans, sighs.....
I just tried "gots", LOL
he does such a funny little mouse squeak if i'm not getting to him fast enough to nurse!
won't take gawd either
Sounds like Nick needs an oiling Feather
lol, yeah i tried that too i think!
go 5 -- a flower: be*****
And when they are learning to nurse--the slurps, gulps, slobbering noises before they get a good latch. Cooper was doing that yesterday.
ty babblerabble, i was so close at one point, only had the last two letters reversed
Hi BabRab
TY, BR!!
Hello

Afternoon all. Lurking quietly here finding words (when they'll go in).

Hi Jacs
I made a smartie cake, a coffee cake (which chris will not share) and a po teletubby cake for melissa's nephew as its his birthday today
So, j-m, who was bigger by month 9: the pregnant you or your hubby? LOL
I made a smartie cake, a coffee cake (which chris will not share) and a po teletubby cake for melissa's nephew as its his birthday today. And in answer to your question jac, it was a close contest between us

So what you do is um google the number and it appears?
When we found out I was pregnant we sent Jake to his grand dad and told him to ask if grandad wanted to buy some information and sell it to him for £2 it was quite funny to watch a 60 year old man and a 5 year old boy haggling

Liz, how did you end up living on Sark? Isnt it awfully hard to find houses there etc?
I came here for a summer season job after I did my A Levels....and ended up staying on for a few years and then got married to a local :)
that was 20 years ago
How romantic, Liz!
ah. good path. I want to move to the Scillies eventually, but its so hard finding a job / house over there. I obviously need a local to marry there!
What is the Isle of Sark like?
thats what you have to do Ata but the sacrifice is worth it! LOL dont tell him I said that!
good morning everyone. work caught up and ready to babble!
Sark is so beautiful Liz we were there many years ago and will be back sometime
Sark is small and quiet Bichon, no cars, no crime, no planes...only 600 residents
remember to look me up if you do JFB :)
is it not silly to move to the scillies, Ata?
sounds so peaceful, Liz
it is Deb especially in winter
no! its scensible! wanna live on St Agnes
th scillies are lovely too Ata
but why?
I love the Scillies, I've wanted to live there for years
No wonder I couldn't find the 2nd 'py' word - I was going the wrong way. *sighs*
the no crime thing is what I like best about Sark. My kids have a huge amount of freedom
Is that because Harold Wilson used to go there ?
how many words are there today?
he's buried there, I think. There's certainly a big memorial to him in Old Town
I've always said I would live anywhfere if the had Hi-speed internet and Sattelite TV with a DVR
121 words today, ji 6/39 and go 5/14 clues please
lol Bichon, rather likeme, I'd live anywhere so long as I had ready access to chocolate :)
abbyss - ji6 is a little bus and rhymes with singer Gene (24 Hours From Tulsa)'s surname.
No, only messing, I've never been there - why do you like it so, Ata ?
high-speed internet, dog food, and the sea
I stilll need go5/14 myself.
I don't really know. Its beautiful. There's sea everywhere, and the sea is beautiful. Its craggy. The beaches are stunning, there are standing stones. Its *warm*. Its friendly. No cars.
Jac - pela***** - popular flowerS
Thanks, Ata. FIREWORKS!:)
go5/14 go +**cotine (smoke) +1st vowel
wtg Jac

Ata - I watched a TV series about a vicar who moved to The Scilly Isles. It did seem nice there.
TY I think that was the only combo for go i didn't try, ji last one
thanks Ata for that; are there no actual roads there? How does anyone get around ?
I'd like to visit the Isle of Man as my Dad's family originates (and some still are) there. There's a hotel there run by a couple with my maiden name and I think they must be relatives. I'd like to book in incognito and check 'em out.
thank you jac!! Now I have to go listen to the singer in question!! Fireworks
Zen - quad bikes are used in a lot of cases.
we dont have cars here - we all have bikes and good walking shoes lol and the tourists have horses and carriages
Does the postman/woman have to deliver all the interesting books etc. from the internet by quad bike ?
quadbikes / bikes / tractors!
there are no quad bikes on sark - only motorised transport is tractors
there are always tractors
postie has a bike and they have a tractor for parcels
and theres 1 black cab on st marys in the scillies that tourists use
Well, folks, interesting though the company here is, I must away to construct a lasagne. Happy Babbling! xx
happy constructing then Jac
mmm lsagne!
Imust away to deconstruct a cup of coffee lol
bbl have fun all
*Waves a thank you to Liz, whilst tying apron strings.*

i don't think i could live somewhere that remote and isolated, i mean how could one get all the necessary M&S goodies ?????
*poof*
thought men didnt do M&S goodies!
perhaps i'm not really a man, then?
M&S Online, Zen!
Byeee.
Or even a real man
In fact, I am quite partial to M&S quiche!
oh noes! not quiche!
Oh yes, I do like a nice quiche !
what flavour?
keen on summer vegetable at the moment
mm! peas!
Has no-one sent Atalante to the penalty box?
Standards are slipping.
oooooooops! didnt notice that!
you like peas too!!
peas are fab *she says from the penalty box*
I can't get my head around mushy peas. Why would you do that to a perfectly nice vegetable?
Ooh, my wife has just arrived back from work; I've got to go do some husking in her ear now - byeee
its not right, is it?
Mushy peas or husking?
both!
Bye Zen. Get that chiselled jaw in proper husk mode.
I agree, Atalante, they're both not right.
my wife reports,by the way, that husking is very okay with her...
I am getting Stared at. I can feel eyes boring through me from behind my chair
You and me both, Atalante. The sun is shining...
Ah, newly weds.
wow, actually it is here as well! But Hobbit's already been out/ She wants my last piece of baklava
Well, tell her she can't have it. Be firm, woman.
Just don't look at her. No eye contact.
just eaten it!
much grumbling
Reproachful looks?
The paw on the lap?
oh yes. "how *could* you?"
no paw on lap - yet
She really was only trying to help you by offering to eat it for you.
ah, thats better, she's turned her attention to growling at Silverclaw
dogs are sooo helpful
Well, this one wants to help me keep fit by offering to accompany me on a walk. So unselfish.
di5,20?
awwww lovely Spangle. such a helpful girl
So, I'd better let her do the honourable thing. I'll get the lead... back later. Bye for now.

hi jellen
Hi Jellen
Hold on to your hats, folks. I'm updating a bunch of software on the server that I've ignored for a while. Restarting the server usually takes a while, so when the site goes down, give it 10-15 mins to get back on its feet. I'm hoping this solves some of the problems the site has been having lately.
thanks Dr G!
clue for the ji6 please
OK God -- holding on.....
Okay thanks Dr G
I'll say goodbye, then. And thanks, Dr. G.!!

Hello, Takuma.
The server didn't need to be restarted, so there won't be any major downtime. Let me know if anyone still experiences problems with the site.

Oops. I spoke too soon. I will be restarting the server in a minute. Here goes nothing...

ty
fireworks
Congrats, joso
can anyone help me with the second 8
to 4/6 roman garb
nice going joso
to 4/6 is not the 8 ...
2nd 8, pi 8/45 pi** of milk + pi**** (large intrument, plural)
the pi 8 extends the pi 4.5 -- two to a quart; to the pi 5.12-- columbus' ships: nina, santa maria and pi.5; to the pi 7.32 --- add **, ** Nanette to the pi 5; and plural
wow thank you.. what an unusal work
Can anyone clue the di5/20 plz?
do 5 -- add, all I ***t for xmas is my two front teeth; pl
di5/20 - di + pale
di 5/20 di + ***der (roam, meander)
di5/20, di then magic ***d
Ty - hmm thought I'd tried that! Babbleitis I think.

husband is on his way now... not sure where he is until hemakes it to Kuwait
why am I sensing this is going to be a tough grid?

debjed, change the t for a vowel
thanks again Vicuna
so4/4 - male child + 2nd vowel
TandT, may the days apart pass quickly and safely for you and your husband.
clue to the second se 5/10
thanks BR. I start work in a week, and Simon is due early in October, so I think it will go by fast than I was expecting it to. this is our second time apart because of deployment. its his third time though
Mother Ann Se5/10, or place atop
a clue for the se 5 /10
(I should specify it's like two words meaning set atop, but the whole doesn't mean that.)
i meant the second
(Blast, gave away more than I intended, but oh well. Bonus clue.)
That is the second.
the other se 5 adds a vowel to the se 4.4 -- he re****ed the intrusion
Dr_God's tuning has made the site much more user friendly than it has been for the last few days/
help please with the py4 - I have the one that sounds like the steak and kidney!
py 4 -- add, she faced **to the wind
Deeha, head in the other direction- use the other y
oooer just enterws several words butr they dont appear on list. When I try to reenter it says already entered??
what do you mean BR, more user friendly? I use Expert... so I haven't been to the actual site
Try refreshing, Deeha. That cures many ills.
very very slow
t6hanks Vicuna it accepted that
Thank you BabbleRabble, I have just one left no5

you would hav ethought a lot of things about enable ...
It doesn't even take "gonna".
or pitot
ata, are you guessing or do you know that's an aviation related word? (hi all)
what is a pitot?
pitot tube - its a useful part of an airplace
*airplane
very handy for all those essential, non-electronic instruments ;)
exactly!
I always thought the useful thing for an airplane was the pilot with an l. Ha ha.
the pitot assists the pilot.. :P
but yes, if I had to choose one over the other... the pilot would win
pitot tubes measure the airspeed
*nods*
I haven't been a pilot for 6-7 years now... the nuances get lost in time
lol, Duck. Must go grocery shopping. Back later.
but I guess they are Pitot tubes. Silly capital letters
later Vi
yes, capitalization is inconvenient
well, I have half an hour... up to 50 words already!

it's okay duck, happens even to the best of us (but never to me, of course!)
pi7/8 - pi + sun *** + 4th vowel, plural
but of course ;)
We've been sitting some evenings with my elder daughter on her own laptop and account, with my wife and younger daughter on this one, plus my parents at their house logged in as billmster!
*tries to keep no4 from growing longer*

Yes, stid, I'm his younger son. Unfortunately he was a bit ill on monday and hasnt been on so he wouldn't have seen it.
trying to figure out the pi 7...
oh, I am sorry he isn't feeling well mud, please give him my regards. and the video is still available in the archive thingy lickety set up.
My dad's speciality is the diatom - I'm sure he'd have loved the plankton.
oh! I found it!!!!
pi7... thumb tack + 5 of these on each foot..
I had to do my BSc project on diatoms
I was trying to revise the clue, glad you got it
yes, he showed us some of his work once. fascinating stuff actually!
Thanks Stid - I'll let him know! I think my mother is keeping him off the computer until he's rested. He's fine again. I'll point him at the archive.
that's a good clue duck! thanks --
can anyone clue the second PY word after the dessert. I don't think there's a variation I haven't tried!
Hi Atalante - I'd not heard of them until dad started his MSc on them (at 72 - I just hope I'm still that active when I reach his age.)

Atalante - yup, especially when the labels are in copper plate from the 1860. My father was originally specialising in seaweed. We did some interesting research when I was a kid on how the holdfast works.

I'm right behind you, stid (( hugs too )). Bye all!
by stid - likewise! We're off to Sonia's bath now as well.
you lucky guy! I spent my degree trying to work out whether to specialise further in seaweed or fish. Chose fish eventually, but am very fond of seaweed. LMAO, only a marine biologist could say that!
Bye all!

You need the other. It's a kind of fish, actually, not that I knew that. It builds off the boat, not the bean.

Yea.. I had the bean for some reason, and misssed pluraling the boat entirely
that's got it.. thanks :D

me too ata, had to look at list with 3 left!!
never heard it spelled that way over here! only in the US in westerns!
oh dear. missed a plural. how embarrassing! fireworks!
hmm, i guess original colonists took it with them and left the single G version there.
yay ata!!!
That's the Ss greying out!
hmmmm, I'll ask round random friends and see if they know of the double consonant variety, seeing as enable seems to think its Brit! I've really never heard of it before today though
This is not my day for word puzzles. I'm going back to my mystery.
hi and bye erilar!
hi and bye, erilar!
And the Ps are greyed out! 24 left to find.
yay minski!
done!
YAY Fran!
had to go to morewords for my last word
what word was that?
ga6/24, dumb one if you ask me. :-)
oh yes, very silly
i'm assuming it's the opp of aga****, but who uses it?
no-one!
oh, not the opp, just a "poetic" version
even sillier! :-)
read: ancient :P
:-)
ata, hobbit looks really young in that picture
it's a good angle for her. :-)
was taken today :) she's obviously just feeling young adn vunerable and in desperate need of treats
yes, i sensed that too. :-)
it is :) even though she gets a bit squished by the icon size!
i'm back...you all missed me right?
you went away? *grin*
i did nutty!
ah crud, it's.... oh hey Nutty!
nutty did you know that babblecast.blogspot (without the hyphen) brings up a different blog?
ah, can you feel the love nutty?
mm hmm...i feel it
nutty?
sorry fran...i realized after i published that i said it wrong
i can't believe it cost that much to get rid of the hornet's nest!
killed me fran...i don't have no danged money right now.
well, the link in your profile is what most people use anyway i think.
but the bees would have killed me too...so i made the best call
yep, life and death makes the decision easier.
sure does...at least they were well dressed though...they all wore yellow jackets.
do they have the striped abdomens too?
yeah, i call it cucumber buns
so, do they destroy the yellowjackets or do they relocated like with beehives?
*get relocated
destruction !!!!
I need the last st5/10 please
that must be rather satisfying
BA, merge st with the last part of garbage-eating animal
st + billy g***s gruff
indeed ata...i had my reveng in the end. bwa ha ha ha ha haha.
I think I have that one Fran. I need the other one at the end please.
that's the last one, the other one starts the same, ends in a vowel, greek plural of the st4/4
revenge really can be very very sweet
That was it Fran. Thanks.
yw
hi all. I have tried every combination for the py4/7(but this one ... obviously) can anyone help please?
mo, do you have py + not out?
apple py*, cherry py*, blackberry and apple py*
don't forget the Y in the corner.
Fran and Atlante thank you both ... and i did forget the corner y!!!! silly me.
ata, do you like py* by any chance? :-)
so did i mo! as soon as someone pointed it out...there was the word.
well, you'd clued the other one :P
:-)
but I *do* love cherry py*
i've always had that gloppy, gelatinous canned cherry filling. i'm sure if i had a cherry py* made from fresh cherries i would like it better.
just realised Atlante was cluing the other! but what the heck thanks all the same.
we were covering all the bases mo. :-)
LOL.
but the gloopy cherry filling has an appeal all of its own too, even if most of it probably hasn't ever seen a cherry
lol, true ata
give me meat and potato anytime!
mmm
ata, when you were in the P.I. did you try their savory empanadas?
I have no idea what you all are tlaking about, but you are making me hungey
hey nat!
or hungry
hey fran!
yup!
I tried to catch you on sudoku, but just missed you
it started out as a clue for py4/7 nat, but you know how we tend to gravitate toward food.
nyes
i practically lived on those in college ata, our university cafeteria was run by a Filipino family
good thing that wasn't a word
nat, did you see i finished the archives?
mmmmmm gorgeous!
I did, that is amazing Fran! Great job!!!

THat's the Ns and the Os greyed out. 15 left to find.

I've got 2 Ws and 2 Ns to go
Minver - Yes, I did finish earlier.
Nut - I do hope Dr_God says 'Yes'.

Nut, your Babblecast are so entertaining

joey - I think most of us were temporarily blind to that other 'y' so don't feel bad.
ok I dont understand the DI 5/14 clue about ashy, and I am totally bamboozled on the clue for the GO 5/14 as well

My 'do pens poo' question came about somehow on the chatlog. Just to reassure you that it's not a question I've spent my life pondering.

I love the pretty fireworks we see below the babble board... they still make me happy!
What sort of things to I ponder? Um... how body hair knows what length to grow to on different parts of the body? Imagine if 'other' hair grew as long as it can grow on your head! Would there be stylists out there to coif it and plait it etc? Would people have hair extensions in 'other' places? That sort of thing. You see... I'm very normal.
oops the 2nd one
mel, first one is greek plural of the st4/4, add a vowel
st 5/10 #2 is a weasel-like animal: st + ***meal (hot breakfast cereal)
Congrats, stid. :-)

hey dawg, more weirdness, when i clicked on your profile i was seeing the old picture in the new size!
ta 5/10 the last one
art - somewhere, I saw a video of a 'pubic' hair art show. Extensions, the lot. Not sure if I've still got the link now nor if it was serious.
artlady, I don't know your position on "body art" but today at the doctor's office I saw a pretty young woman in a sundress with a gorgeous rose tattoo on her right shoulder. For some reason it made me think of you and Atalante... and how really any surface can be a canvas
Fran, i think you have gremlins in your brain
True, stid. At my doctor's appointment I didn't see anything interesting, tho.
Winston ta***s good like a cigarette should
remember, i'm not good at pubic relations
well next time I'll take you with me... doctor's offices make me nervous
Just got forms for all sorts of fun tests. See, this is why I usually AVOID going to the doctor!
grrr thank you Bubba
where is the link to pubic art?
ick bubba!
you could be right dawg
I'm down at the surgery later this afternoon to see the nurse to have my stitches removes (Whoopee!) I shall look out for 'interesting' people. LOL
i'm an artist, where do you get the pubes
actually, does it show my age that I actually remember that slogan?
I think I posted the link in another forum. I'll post it up when I find it.
and can you get funding with pubic money
Does anybody have a clue for the pi7/8 combination?
good for you Jacula -- It will be nice for you to be stitch-less again!
pi7 = liquid measure + latin year
Yay, Jac! No more embroidery on you!
i just had a hearing and balance test last week. apparently if your balance systems are good you end up getting nauseous and in my case throwing up all afternoon.
pi8 is plural
Stid - It will; the end of my no4/4 is beginning to peel!
pi7 size of a beer + mt st helene is a volc***
Knight--not under the current climate! (funding for pubic art, that is)
well, I think I'd best feed the dogs and clean the birdcage. *sets out bowl of blueberries for folk to snack on( see you-all later...
okay, i'm exaggerating a little, i threw up once during the test and a couple times more about an hour later.
Not fun, Fran.
bye stid!
I'll nip off and have a look for that link.
bye, stid!
gotta go - see you at the flip
later stid

Have had a quick check and can't find anything other than hair removal for underarm stuff. However, the wiki write up on pubes is kinda interesting and this write up is v. funny: http://www.pubicstyles.com/
Jac, you're fixated on this topic now!
I shall now become a harmless, clue-giving Babbler again. Ahem!

Hello Andree!
I saw Dr. God in log earlier today,so I knew that was a good sign. Never see him in the chat log. He should join us more often! Anyway, this site is great today!
Hi, min and andree
hi jade
i am in and out as customers keep disturbing me!!!
HOw have you been doll? I haven't been able to catch up with everyone since I've settled down.
Dr_G usually appear to let us know he's sorting things out if the site's on the blink.

Hello saintfranny! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
You don't want to know, franny!
hey minver
franny - Oh, it all came about from babblecast. It was all Nut's fault!
babblecast? my infrequent stops in here have me out of the loop it seems
http://babble-cast.blogspot.com/
Andree, tell the customers to go away! Babble takes priority! At least it does in my world! Need any help?
You don't know what you've been missing, franny. But you will do... cos all 12 babblecasts are there to be heard.
I can't wait until Nut gets the software she needs to record.
well that looks interesting - thanks!
Hi, Andree. Bloomin' customers! Anyone would think you were there to be at their beck and call! ;)
i would love to tell them to go away min, unfortunatly i have this need to earn a living
Jade - It'll be in place real soon.
It is going to be real fun!
I can't wait! i'm so excited!
Don't get too excited, Jade or you may need my Babbling Chair. (See 2nd of my flickr pics in my profile.) *grins*
I forgot about that part, earning a living. Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of Babbling?LOL
LOL..Jac!
Minver - life constantly gets in the way of Babbling... if one is addicted... but WE'RE not addicted, are we??
Noooo, not at all.
Nope, not at all!@
Unfortunately, my job will start interfering next week!
Not convincing, girls! Try again.
No,I'm NOT addicted to Babble. Babble is addicted to ME. It won't leave me alone. It keeps calling my name!
Ooohhhhhh........no, I am not addicted to Babble, I can walk away anytime I want, I just don't feel like walking away at the moment.
here's something interesting...the baby on the cover of Nirvana's Nevermind is now 17 years old! can you believe it?
No I can't....has it really been that long?
My job will start interfering w/babble after labor day
That is something, fran!
Although, some of the teachers at my school use Babble in their classes...
Think I can incorporate it into my art classes?
mine interfers everyday, infact lately i have hardly babbled at all
art - possibly... erm.. letter patterns in modern art or something?
Yes you can artlady!Show the kids how to make icons
Hmmmmm....

A ha! thanks all

Oh yes, ren, that reminds me... Nut called me COUNT Jacula in the babblecast... surely she meant Countess?
lol
yw lovejoy and rennie.
*searching for silk robe to cover the mistress....
Fran - some of it might have been silk. Not sure.
yes - she means countess
I'm not wearing that for the day though!
grrrr....I want an oreo shake from DQ, but payday isn't until Friday....
grrrrr.
Ren - keep meaning to ask you - are you and Nut REALLY sisters?
you won't get a straight answer from them jac
ren - I don't want covering up! It's warm here, despite what the 'nodule' on view may say.
but i know the answer
I do too, Fran!!!
I learnt something new today!!!
nut has duct taped my mouth...:/
Fran - they're both Jewish, which may mean they're sisters in that sense, or they are sisters in the womanhood sense, or they are really sisters...
Fran - quick tell me before your mouth gets taped, too.
Jade - what did you learn? You mean to say you really believed the world was flat? LOL
i was in the chat log when they were both talking to The Fiz and said they met through babbling.
Ah! Thanks, Fran!
this was ages ago
LOL...no Jac, I learned all orts o' stuff.....nut is really a nut and mrp is delightful.
That's not new, Jade. LOL
oh but i got to hear their voices responding to mine.....
If you think Nut's a nut, Jade, wait until you talk to my servant, Ren.
watching joan crawford in trog
THAT was new.
I guess that was new, Jade. Must just say here that hearing stidmama's voice in B/C11, she sounded just like I thought she would.

Wow, cool video.

Jac, are you on Skype? 'cuz there's a heckava lotta people on it with 'jacula' in their name, most from Poland!
Wow, after all the fun I had today, I think I need to go to bed soon. Have to be in kind of early.
I'm covering a story on a woman who has just been di8,55 + d with breast cancer and she is part of the relay for life team.
my cousin does that jade - it is amazing!
JBs - No, Im not yet. I got called 'Jacula' by a Canadian expat on a British site due to my night owl habits. I eventually adopted that as my internet name and only looked it up some months ago (after about 5 years of using the name) - it seems it has to do with some porno band???
i love the relay for life, it's a great event
Well, she's not doing so well right now, and I need to do a story on her tomorrow. I have this sneaking suspicion that it'll be a newsroom tomorrow. So if you care to look on www.knopnews2.com tomorrow night after 6PM Central time, you may be able to see it.
The story, that is.
In real life, I have a book and a film named after me! But I was called what I'm called before either arrived.
Nice Jacula!
ok jade - sounds like a plan
bookmarked it jade.
I shall hopefully see you all tomorrow night.
night jade!
hi everyone! ren, are you staying dry?
I've bookmarked the site, Jade.
night jade
Thanks, jac, got it! I didn't investigate the porno band part, no need, but I wouldn't be surprised!
Night all! Stay yourselves....and have fun! *poof*
I'll look for it, Jade - thanks!
Hi, TO. Is Ren staying dry? I didn't know she was an alcoholic. LOL

yeah not used to typing on a laptop
harp, spell the western transport differently
Fran - again, with my low humour, I say there is no answer to that last post of yours! LOL
wa6 & 7 are the things the early Settlers travelled in in wa*** trains. Double the middle consonant.
okie dokey fran
thanks, done!@
jac, we know where YOUR mind is, but since I understand what you're talking about, I must be down there with you. :-)
thanks Fran and Jac, scooped those up
y/w, mymuse.
yay harp!!!!
need help with the 2 pi7/32s please
yw muse
Well done, harp.
pi7 one is plural breed of horse
whoooo hooooo HARP
with foot digit ending
second pi7 starts like a volume measure and ends like a high female voice (plural)
Greetings Babblers. I got home late after a dinner to discuss writing a book.
1st pi7/32 = pi* (you use to hold hems up when sewing) + the *** the sun gives you when you lie out in it + round vowel.
sorry, plural is the 8
Hi, Scrabbs. How exciting!
whee thanks again Jac and Fran
Congratulations harpjane on fireworks!Hooray for U!
ty mymu
Yes, and somewhat overwhelming.
Hi Scrabb
just saw there was a big earthquake in peru, has anyone heard more?
Hi Scrabbler! How are you doing?Welcome to the grid
thanks min
Yahooo Jane!
if any of you have not seen this blog, you should:
A book about what, Scrabbs?
www.indexed.blogspot.com
no harp
thanks scrabb
I now feel complete, Minveryork, after being welcomed by you, the Official Babble Greeter.....the babble Welcome Wagon.
hi scrabs!
I assume not fiction? Fiction used to take just one big book, then it went on to a 3 book contract and now, I believe, it is 4. Scarey!
ty ty Jacula
hi Scrabs!
ooh Scrab, you just got your first word .... using your last word lol
Your last word, Scrabbs has just sent you into the pentaly box!
Cool site at first glance, Fran! I will bookmark it.
i hope the penalty box has been stocked. :-)
Scrabbler did you know that wa5/22 word is in grid?
you should scrabbler, she has great stuff
indexed is great... read through the entire thing one day
Oh, man! Sorry, and I did just finish the W's. ***trotting over to the penalty box**
Have bookmarked the site for later.
Hello osuracnaes! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
Min - oscur whats?
hi sean
hello
hi all
hi tim
ty also Fran Mag for your help got thru the Ps
how is everyone
Hello timhorton! How are you? Welcome to the puzzle
OK, my book, my first one, will be about raising responsible, resilient "good" kids in this age of , hmmmm, chaos in families and education. That is a brief intro.
hi ollag
hi ya min
Just tried googling Oscuranaes and it's an adult site. Hello,, Osc - didn't see you down there.
Scrabbs - Will you be the new guru our kids will take advice on child raising from?
? it's just my name backwards
yesterday took an hr to enter each word so i gave up on the grid
Sean Caruso? Are you an Irish opera singer??
I just heard a ruckus outside ----there is at least one baby raccoon out there.
Hello Sean Caruso!!
dr scrabbler instead of dr spoc
Hello mymuseisme! How are you doing? Did you finish?
mm nope.... would be a cool thing to be though
no min just started
Jacula--the challenge is that the world has lots and lots of parenting books, and the spectrum ranges from conservative/strict/traditional to liberal/permissive.
I should've done my name backwards as screen name!
we need another good book on how to raise kids with and it helps if it is hardcovered to clober their behinds
I have learned SOOOO much from being a pediatrician, and have seen society and families decay so much and kids are the victims.
mymuseisme,it is not a very hard grid. I only have to ask for 1 clue. You will be able to finish before the flip
Scrabbs - I'd love to read your book either in the process of writing or when it's published.
Or whack them upside the head, timhorton!
LOL timhorton!
Oh, that reminds me, di8 clue please?
me too
di8, as a doctor, you need a large frozen fish for not getting, Scrabbs!
hehe that was my first though scrab but i heard the gasp in chat in my head and typed otherwise
scrabbler, you probably do this when a child comes in with symptoms
di 8/55 is what MD's in order to determine an illness.
I would like to edit and do some writing, but have other contributors, such as teachers, psychologists, and parents that I admire.
di8 = the doctor's prognosis , sort of.
scrabs, if you need a copy editor, let me know!
di 8/55-what MD's do in order to determine an illness
Haha, di8! I missed it! But it is rather curly to find it.
sorry, disappeared for a second, had a phone call from a client
dawger--do you write, edit, review?
di8 ws actually the first word I found today. go5/14 was the last (after asking for help on here).
scrabs, yes
she's not hysterical because her wedding is in Dec, but the band she had hired for 2 hours is breaking up this month and won't be around to do her wedding!!
Scrabbs - with all sorts of hair (adapted to grid straighteners) around these days, that's NO excuse. LOL
no5/18 was my last word. Always forget about plurals
Wow, dawger, I am so excited. Before the dinner mtg I wrote 6 pages of outlines and notes and chapter headings. I want this to happen.
It is so nice to have this site working normally again!
Jacula, if a long word is not staring at me I tend to stop looking after 4-5 ltrs, that is my problem.
was that fireworks Min?
my friend and are writing a book
Scrabb, I hope you include a chapter on parents who refuse to discipline their kids coz they want to be their "friends" or afraid their kids won't love them if they do
min finished hours ago dawg.
Scrabs, send me an email, and we can discuss what you're doing.
About what, TH?
hey! the grid works tonight :)
Babble is like a car.A necessity you don't realize how lucky you are to have until you don't have it anymore
it has been back and forth for ages
hi jes!
Hi Jes!
Hello jesdraggon! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
hi jes, lbd!
Muse--that is what I face in the office daily and what is, in part, inspiring me to write about "thoughtful" parenting. Parents need to think about the importance of their role as leaders.
how not to run a buisness
100 worst buisness practices
Scrabbs - it is YOUR book that they (whomever 'they' are) have asked you to write. You write and edit it as you want it to be or tell them to forget it.
Guess you missed my greeting earlier Muse, HI!!
MIN! did you get fireworks?
Ha! That's why I'm not yet a millionnaire through my writing. LOL
Great topic, TH. My boss could give you ideas as he has made bad business decisions for 12+ yrs. I gave up trying to make suggestions.
my current job has provided 3/4s of the content
Our office is a daily soap opera of dysfunction!!
guess I did lbd! sorry
i couldn't tell you how to run a buisness I have never done it
I'll just tinkle along in my own artistic way. LOL
but i could tell you from observing others what doesn't work
that's okay Muse, you were getting ready to dive into the grid! (((hugs)))
lol! yep, right now kind of treading water
Jes + Jacula, what shall I do about 7 yr old Bunny Callie with recurrent bladder sludge---> dribbling of urine? Regular hydration and bladder massage is mighty pricey.
ahhh, Tim, that's so much like education...those who are the administrators have rarely had classroom experience, and bungle that part horrendously, making those of us who are on the front lines want to lob bombs at them.
Jacula, just keep writing what you want!
Oh dear, Scrabbs? Not again? Re callie.
hi scrabs!
hehe well i am honest from the beginning
Scrabbs - re the writing - I intend to. I've encountered few editors who've dismissed me out of hand.
She is happy, active and eating lots, but I noted her peeing milky urine again, as well as dribbling everywhere.
Hi Owl--how are you? How was the Musikfest?
hi TO
I've forgotten, Scrabbs. How old is Callie?
i'm fine! it was HOT until Thursday! hi muse, and anyone who came in after evil msn booted me
Hi again, TO.
my point of view is from the employee/customer angle cause so many owners/ managers have no clue
Scrabbs - sorry about my terrible short term memory.
bbs
Callie is 7 this week. I wonder if it is time to "let her go"....keep her happy as long as possible. The last vet procedures/stay was almost $900.
TH, have you read any of Bob Sutton's books? Or looked at his web site? I read his latest, The No A**hole Rule, and wrote to him about it. He replied back and is funny!
Tim, that's my point too. The consumer needs to be a major factor in the picture. the front lines folks, employees are another major factor, without those two you can go diddle with your product or service.
Scrabbs - 7 is a very good age for a rabbit. As to how long you keep her going... I can't possibly advise since I have kept mice, rabbits and my lovely old dog going for one year more than they should have done.
no i havent scrabble but it sounds good
i rearely read non fiction
Jacula---I will speak to my vet again. These decisions are always tough. And I hate to have money be part of the picture.
The mice being kept going were ensconced in my cleavage in my bra.
The rabbits were bathed in warm water and drip fed every hour or so.
evening all
Hi Moo!
LOL, Jacula! That reminds me of the almost 10 yr old girl I saw in the office on Monday. When I went to check on the progress of her chest development, I lifted up the bra (which she was not yet in need of wearing) and a 25 cent piece fell out! I felt like a magician.
Hi moolingwa! How are you doing?Welcome to the grid
hey dawg
The dog.. oh I can't go there. I still miss him so much that I've not been able to get a dog again. Meanwhile, the cats that have always been on the edges of my life have moved in. Just one cat left now, though.
yes ib so many buisness owners sit back and wonder why the employees /customers are dissatisfied
hey minny
lol scrab
Jacula--I did that with my beloved Peter Rabbit that developed head tilt/dizziness. I fed him liquid nutrition by syringe for 5 wks and then he could sit up and eat. He lived another 1 1/2 yrs.
tim, especially those who don't do a lot of hands on work themselves.
HI all 119 left i,s are grey ,looks a fun grid hope i can stay for a while ,but really should cut the lawnh
I did it similar with my chinchilla scrab
exactly IB
Hi Diem...ah heck with the lawn, it will still be there tomorrow
Hello diem! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
my bosses can barely lift a coffee cup to thier own lips
be strange if it wasn't dawg
Scrabbs - I did that, too, with a female rabbit. She lived on for another 5 years. One new rabbit with same thing though, died within 2 hours of arriving here.
Our office is a toxic environment--very dysfunctional and many of us "get it" but the boss and office manager don't understand that THEY are the problems.
hard to fire yourself
ahh, scrabs. those with the dysfunction never see it as their problem.
is your office family run scrab?
hi
hi
Bob Sutton's advice is (1) Leave, if you can, or (2) develop emotional detachment in order to survive. I have chosen #2 and it helps.
that's one of the reasons i quit my job at the college. working in a counseling center with a bunch of whackos wasn't much fun
Hello watermelon! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
Hi watermelon.
I an good.
I am good.
#1 is not an option and #2 only works 10 percent of the time
No, TH. And the boss is clearly a narcissist--fits the personality disorder profile to a T.
Scrabs, i tried #2, all it got me was more grief. I was "too detached" i didn't schmooze with everyone and get into the mess or spill my troubles out to others to gossip about me.
wonderful scrabb:(
Yes, TH, it is still a stressful and aggravating environment.
Weird thing I've not encountered before to report here re pets that have 'gone'. All of us her in this home sense and half-see pets who have died. However, I got a first yesterday when I was cutting up twigs and branches on the first back lawn... Surviving cat, The Hunter, stroled up steps from kitchen,,, followed by our old black part-Persian, my Kira. Thing is I reallly did SEE her there, not an impression or a feeling, or a half image. I SAW her.
How is everyone? I am just peachy
have to vacate the laptop for a while, hope to be back later
It was very comforting, since I do still miss her a lot.
Goodbye mymuseisme! I'll see you tomorrow in the log
later Muse. a peachy watermelon, now that sounds yummy
yes LB i tried #2 but it just made everyone snippier at me
I believe you, Jacula. Sometimes I "see" previous, deceased rabbits around the house. Spooky.
Youare funny dawger
i guess for emotional detachment and a frosty exterior go hand in hand
for me that is
Yes, TH + Dawger. I am detached and do not attend office parties or events, so I am seen as not being a team player.
Scrabbs - I never realy 'seen' as such before, just an image from the corner of my eye. BRB - just heard surviving cat haveing nasty fight under office window.
But I am well-liked in the office because I am a morale booster and keep everyone laughing, except I avoid the bullies and crazies.
that too scrab
i think i am as well liked as anyone in my office is and i have heard the reason is because i am the yes man
I drank Tim Horton's coffee last week--yummy!
i am an addict scrab:)
i had an altrication today at work involving tim hortons
I'm confused, tim.You refer to yourself as a man,you have a man's name, but your profile says you're a girl
Everyone in Wstern New York is as well, and franchises continue to be put up. I just saw another store being built yesterday.
altercation? Hi all
Got cat in now. Have told him that having a row with a fox (which just ran off as I put the light on) is NEVER a good idea, especially as I have to pay the vet bills.
hi jill and all
Hello jillibus! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Doubt he listened though!
tim hortons is a coffee shop
Hello Ping! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle
hi jilli super day yes?
Tim Horton, the real guy, played in the NHL, for our Buffalo Sabres. He ran a coffee and donut place in southern Ontario, then was killed in a car crash in 1972. He stores have boomed around here in the last 6 yrs or so.
That's why I was so quick to go off and open the door; I recognised the fox sound.
and i didn't know if yes woman was a corect term:)
and i didn't know if yes woman was a corect term:)
minver, Tim Horton's is a fast-food (but yummy) chain in Canada, named after a hockey star. Our "timhorton" is a fan, and female
thanks, min!
:)
Oops, sorry for confusion timhorton.Just wondering!
heavenly day, diem -- just got back from a lovely swim in the sea
And Jilli owns a bus company, right?
Doesn't everyone check the names out on seeing them?
haha, min -- newyorkers don't know beans about Canada
I do. Oh, LOL.
np min glad to clear it up for you:)
And what does Minveryork refer to?
Anyway! Back to my cat. He's safely home. LOL
very funny, scrab. Jillibus was my dad's pet name for me and the "ibus" is because he was one of those Brits who could speak Latin
Scrabbs - Min is from New york.
Minveryork is a combination of 3 states I've lived in, Minnesota, Vermont and New York in that order.
What does "ibus" mean, Jill?
my real name is laura btw
i need just 1 s/4 or 5/
Aha, now the mystery is solved, Minveryork.
clues anyone
laura sounds a little like tim
jilli - I'm sad that not so many people in the world have studied Latin (though I was crap at it. Could do Latin to English but other way around was much harder).
Jilli my igloo is melting must go shovel snow of grass so i can mow it catch you at the flip happy babbling
Hello, Laura! I am Lynda in my other life. Babble Land can be lots more fun though.

Not many Italian players here either, who might 'get' your name.

Ping - surely when you signed up one of us oldtimers was here to warn you? Awful grammar. Sorry!
Nope, I have never been to Michigan.
it came recommended
it's a blue, jac - a big blue blur
Here is an idea! I think we should have annual Babble conferences in different parts of the world. This way we can meet fellow babblers. I think it is a great idea
Ping - Me and fether apparently, according to our doctors, share that high pain threshold. Strong women are we!
:)
Or in today'ss shop front terms, 'Strong Women 'R' Us'.
Yes, yes! I want to attend Babble Camp! I want to run an arts & crafts session. And we could have word-study sessions, LOL.
by the time i wanted the epi both times it was too late

no more gold toes for a icon for a bit but I thought people would understand :)
LOL jac!!!
Sorry, scrab -- phone call -- "ibus" is an ending but I've forgotten my Latin grammar-- I THINK it's a superlative, i.e. "the most Jilly" -- ? Any Latin scholars hanging around here?
ooh...babblecast interview...great idea!
:) i think so too gold toes!
thanks again ping, we're happy too
i think canada is a great spot for the babble camp
One of my goals is to meet a fellow babbler some day.
Nice to meet you, Minveryork. Welcome to the grid. How are you today?
Does anybody live near Dutchess County, New York?
:)
come to think of it minver...I've never met anyone in person either (though it feels like it sometimes w/ the way we chat)
My sister lives in Bergen County, NJ and I might visit her in Nov.
My husband will think I'm crazy to meet a "stranger".
sorry, min. i'm about as far away as you can get without hitting ocean
{{{{Kristin}}}}!!!!!! I've been wondering about you and am so happy to hear of the safe arrival of your lovely Zach!
i've never met a babbler but i've met quite a few people that i met through my blog
Hubby doesn't understand the nature of the chat log
Make sure you introduce me as Scrabbler.
lol
Oh goodnesss, jillibus. Whenever I google I get taken back to you on Babble. I'll climb up into the cupbaord and find my Latin dictionary.
mini i met my husband online
min, few people seem to understand that it's not like the usual chat
min i mean
hi there jill...thanks...zach is doing great and so are mom and dad (((jill)))
In the last few months, when talking to myself, I call myself SCrabbler. As in, "Scrabbler, you dope, why did you do that?"
but i knew him for yrs before we met in person
I think London is probably the best spot to meet, or Iceland, or Amsterdam.
hi kristin! that's little cutie!
Help with the ni's?
i am shamed and embarrassed to ask for a 4 letter word... but i cannot seem to monkey the en4. which means it's probably total fish.
i have met so many wonderful ppl in person that i knew online for a long time
hi owl...there he be! (we think he's cute too)
ni+a unit of weight
i will save you the embarassment by asking for the second py4, jess
i have been to three weddings of ppl online
en + Buy fuel at the Gas Station
but i would never agree to meet someone i didn't know for a long time
How about this? Every year, a different country can host a Babble conference. Or how about this? There could be yearly Babble conferences in each country.
TY, Mama Kristin!
jes, the en4 is a meaningless babblet so no fish. I'm trying to think of a clue for this clueless thing
yep...no prob!
py + opp of out
got it scrab, thanks
oh my word! ty i just didn't see that other y
thanks...needed that py too!
Hang on.. i think Babbler Knight time is a statistician... he's compiling a Babble stats and probabilities site right now. We could ask him to work out where the best place for us all to meet in the world is.
ah -- en4 -- F*** *hui (Chinese arrangements)
Knowing Knight's sense of humor his response will be "on the internet".
sounds good minv
Scrabbs - I would be hoping for a serious answer from him on this question.
What's the best place, that is cheapest to travel to that most of us can meet?
How about Hawaii?
Can't be a hard question?
I vote Hawaii! :)
hee, see there you go kristin agrees.
yay hawaii!
anymore t clues t/4
Very tough to figure that out! Travel distances, time, and money all factor in.
how about vegas? it's fairly cheap for groups
If it had been back in the 80s when Virgin Airlines were setting up, the answer would have been New York.
to4 = digits on the feet?
taot
c;ue please for second se5/10? ty
ta + Open Sesame
Scrabbs - Knight does statistics like we do grid words. He'll work it ot in no time.
to4 = like cooked bread - a
jes -- did you get the en4? Iwas rather pleased with my clue at 10:19
jac...but if it were back in the 80s...you wouldn't have some of us :) (tee-hee)
Change the T to an S, ruru
I have 45 left and no supper yet but sho cares?
se 5/10 is se plus weight measurement 72 Temple Owl

Just checked your age Kristinc. No, I guess not. LOL

aw, jes -- have a look anyway :D
but who can argue w/ cheap airfare...forget little 'ol me! :)
Back in the 80s, I was in high school. Love 80s music!
hey franny!!!!
yw
hi ping, hi fran
hi ping!
Jilli - there's enough chicken breast in the fridge and bread in the bread bin to make a nice sandwich. Othrwise you'll just have to sniff the kitchen and smell the lasagne dish we had, with garlic bread.
yup, that clue would work :)
can someone help w/ the ga6 please?
i'm reading blogs in another window, just piping in to cause trouble.
And I am done. I would have finished 45 min ago except I have been chatting so much.
hello owl!

di 8/55 is what a doctor does to determine an illness.
haha, Jes, I has trouble with di8 and we make di8's on our patients everyday
jes, di8, what a doctor does before telling you what's wrong with you.
sounds good to me, fran
hee :) thanks scrab!
*I HAD trouble
Goodbye Scrabbler! I will see you tomorrow in the log

jac i was sure that alley was in the dictionary
it's ok, jac, I know you don't approve, but I have a frozen Lean Cuisine Shrimp in a Creamy Seafood Sauce with whole wheat pasta which I'm about to pop into the microwave for 7 minutes while I mix up some salad greens and tiny tim tomatoes with "Jamaica Mistake" dressing
jill...yum! I love that dressing :)
Tim - the word in the dictionary is 'diagonally'.
okay, that's me done and I should also depart for the night (got a few things to do before you know who wakes up)
jilli, it's okay since you're adding the fresh salad
goodnight all!
yeah but i was sure the shrter form should be a word:)
yay kristin! night to you and zack!
so, must do as I said -- back soon
Jamaica mistake intrigues me. What is the ingredient list for that?
Congratulations kristinc on fireworks! Good for you!

all caught up on blogs, but one more gossip site to check out.
Fran - it's NOT ojkay - she's still eating all that salt laden pre-prepared crap.
I do wish I live near enough to stock her freezer!
fran - i'm going to submit my onion jolly roger to the skull site
Even pre=prepped salads have additives.
i better get my butt in gear i have 38 words to go
cool rennie! let me know if it gets in.
ok - i will
go tim go!
i've been trying to add the skull-a-day feed to my newsreader and it won't work.
And I'll jut sit back now, go to bed soon perhaps, and wait for those blody stitches to be got out of the ennd of my schnozz.
what happened to your snoz jac
when do they come out jac?
Tim - it gota lump on the end of it, which, I am now told, was a harmlesss naevus.
holy pi words, batman!
Jamaica Mistake -- Canola (rape to you, jac) oil, water, sugar, vinegar, eggs, Worcestershire sauce (vinegar, molasses,glucose-fructose, anchovies, hydrolysed soy and corn protein, onion, tamarind, salt, garlic, cloves, chili pepper, natural flavour, shallots), salt, onion, garlic, lemon juice, potassium sorbate, spice, natural flavour, xanthan gum, propylene glycol alginate, sodium benzoate, calcium disodium EDTA. You asked for it, jac!!!
Stitches come out at 2.45pm today (16th Aug)
counting the minuites?
I didn't know all that was in Worcester sauce
i knew it had tamarind
Jilli - I'' bookmark that and give youthe proper natural recipe for it sometime.
lol jes!
better than natural Worchestershire sauce. That's made from fermented fish
sounds lovely %)
Hi abmoraz! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
got 27 left
hi abmor!
Nowt wong with fermeted fish! Atleast they have no 'e' numbers!
hey fran any chance you could help me with go5/14?
You do know that most red meat needs t hang for 3 weeks at leat before it is palatable?
as for the pi words and many others -- I got about half way last night with normal words -- had little time today but went to morewords for my missing ones and found that almost all of them were weirdos I shall never use. That was a comfort.
i have conquered the pi words! yay me :)
3 weeks? i don't think so jac
yay you jes!
go5/14 was my last word.
jacula: depends on the cut
that's seriously dependant on the temperature and humidity you're hanging it at. most of the deer we do, we hang for 3 days, then cut it.
lovejoy, go5/14, go + chronicles of nar***
Now I'm going to stick that Lean Cuisine in the microwave! Cy'all l8r
later jilli!
beef in a cooler you can leave for 3 weeks...but that's in a cooler. or in winter. if you left it hang that long in warm weather it'd rot.
go+14th leter of alphabet + 3rd vowel + 1st vowel.
i see. fran you are the best!
aw shucks lovejoy! *blush*
go 5/14 is go+The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe the Cnronicles of Nar*** Lovejoy.
Hello lovejoy! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
btw, love your little purple fish, my favorite color
3 weeks in UK is maybe like 3 days in other parts of the world with differing clmates. 3 weeks is the norm here in UK for hanging meat.
in a cooler?
No, just hanging. Though I would say yes, in a cooler.
in a cooler, that's reasonable. in open air, not so much. many places, by the way, meat goes straight from live to dead to on the table, no hanging.
I'm not really into cutting the bits the bluebottles have got at out... I'd go for the cooler option every time.
Live to dead has no taste.
i'm not really into killing my own meat--but i acknowledge that this is a luxury, and i have killed my own in the past.
depends on what you're eating. personally, i'm inclined to think most beef is very bland no matter what you do to it. but i grew up eating venison.
Jes - I could never kill any animal I owned because I can't help naming them all. Once given a name... However, in farm circumstances.. it's different. Making a living.
good evening
Hi All again! I'm back to try to finish up. I''ve got 55 words left to find
i've eaten 'named' animals. i tend to be very practical about such things. once it's dead, it's food.
Hi nef!
hi nef! go for it
jJes - venison's too strong for me (and how could I possibly eat Bambi's Mum anyway? Beef, preferably ||Scottish beef, is great.
hi marisal!
i can be sad about the dead part, and go home and cry, and still eat the steaks.
hi dan (stupendous man)!
Hello marisalsera! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
Hi Fran! How's it goin?
well, i can suggest several ways to prepare bambi's mum that are quite tasty ;)
he nef and dan
Hi Ping!
Hello Nef! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle!
going great dan! how are you?
Hi Dan and Fran And Ping
God! Re the meat eating. We humans are awful, aren't we?
Hello danf63!How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
22 left, then happiness for the rest of the night!
Hi Minver!
tonight, for instance, i cooked her (well, actually, was probably bambi, not his mum) with plums and orange peppers. turned out yummy.
But... we humans have the teeth to be omniverous and s that i what we are/
of course we are, jac. but at least we enjoy it.
here to clue if you need assistance dan and marisal.
searching for my "silk" icon
Still trying to figure them out, but I'm sure I'll need help later Fran...I means REALLY on widow's immolating themselves! 9or however you spel immolating)
a fun mission, fran!
Way too amny Pi words tonight!
Rabbit, veal and venison are still not on my menu. I'd like to try kangarooo steaks though.
why not on the menu, jac?
Sorry, MrP and family!
or maybe it would help if I learned how to Spell!
I was going to stay and clue, but there are plenty of better cluers here. So I shall retire for the evening!
Not on the menu, jess because I don't choose to put the, there
g'nite minver!!! see you tomorrow
dan, what are you talking about? (the immolating)
yeah!!!!!!!!!!! got them
yes, jac, but i was wondering what the reason for choosing not to is
see you tomorrow min! not staying for the flip?
Minver - stay!
Goodnight to my fellow babblers!I'll see you tomorrow
wtg rocks!
go ruru!!
sleep well, min
Oh, okay jess/ Rabbit - not on menu because we keep rabbits as pets (same goes for guinea pigs).
Veal not allowed because I don not approve of the way the calves are kept for commercial veal.
ji anyone, please
i'm sure it's been clued already, but could i get some help with pi 7 and 8 please?
pi7=columbus ship +negative, 8 is plural
gnight minv
ping, pi7 starts like a liquid volume measure and ends like a high female voice.
PI...measurement...things at the end of your feet
ji is another word for cab
Venison not on the menu, not because I was probably in need of a child psychiastrist after being taken to see Bambi in the 60s but also because I find deer meat a litle too stong for me.
abmor, ji6 rhymes with br***** spears
ok
(% days to 14 for deer hanging of meat, btw.)
That was 5 days o 14
thanks. last one for me
though i have to say that i don't understand the "we keep them as pets" logic. that's probably just me though.
thanks for the pi clues - got them!
same pi...sun***...os
wtg ab!
cool ping
done abmor?
great!
yeah
yay abmoraz!!!
depends on who/how/where you're hanging it, jac. like i said, my family usually hangs deer 3-5 days. *shrug* i don't think there's really a <wrong> way to hang it, unless it rots though.
Yea abmoraz!!!
this was a maddening board
though, if your objection is that it tastes too strong, and hanging it longer strengthens the taste, then it would make sense to me to not hang it as long ;)
Tina Fey is on Sesame Street, their season premiere...she's playing a "book-an-eer" pirates that love to read
Well, mhy son did tell me that freshly killed reinder in Finland taste better than Scottih hung deer.
Sorry for spelling mistakes. V. tied now.
heh. tied? or tired? ;)
lol, with jac it could be either. ;-)
Jac's all tied up! ;)

Rhymes with girl singer houston or eli the guy who invented the cotton gin
jac, i think she countered with some stats in her profile

A friend of mine in Switzerland went away on hol last weekedn and waited until 4pm to light her first cigarette. When she did so, on the hotel terace, wher 2 old German couples were also sitting, one of the German females began to sneeze and , talking in German, blamed it on the smoke. My friend then took great delight in lighting up another fag for her 2nd espresso coffee and saying loudly in German that 'we ARE outside where it is allowed for eff's sake!'
:) melaie
st+ 3 vowels
st4/4 + third vowel is the first one, Mom

I know I bug my own daughter now.. but she sees the point.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"
I've lost both parents now. Miss them like I never thought I would. And it was my dad who drove me crazy.
great theory melae
me too Jell
that's the quote that another babbler has in their profile
can we make it a TIM HORTONS IN ONE HAND

lol, sorry about that..heard something out on the street so i went to look...come back & there's some slimy bug thing video/fireworks,lol
Jellen - you miss them like hell andno mistake. My Mum is still alive and bugs me often,I wish my Dad still did that, too. I miss him every day. And I don't think that's something I will ever overcome.
