My mother is on the other end of it; she's the owner of several rental properties. After being in the business for about 12 years, she sort of gets a feel for people. This is not to say she hasn't been taken advantage of BUT she has taken "chances" on renters and for the most part it has turned out to be very good for both she and the renters.

do you have witnesses to the verbal agreement? You know, eventually what will matter is whether they want the house badly enough. If they do, they will wait. And sometimes if you cause a delay, and they have sold their house, you might have to agree to pay their rent somewhere, while you look for your new home.

lilli, I am not trying to diagnose you, just telling you my experience, in case you could get the same relief I have: for at least 15 years, I got dizzy and had that head pressure when I traveled..it was blamed on everything from garden variety motion sickness, to sinus infections to low blood pressure (which is sometimes true for me). I finally got referred to a physical therapist (you call them physiotherapists, I believe), who diagnosed me with a weak ocular-vestibular reflex. In short, when I move, my eyes and ears are not in sync. I did some exercises and was cured. It has made such a difference in my life. I had to travel for work by car in the mountains of West Virginia to visit my clients, and would often have to pull over and sit until I could drive again. It was awful. SORRY FOR TAKING UP SO MUCH OF THE CHOG

hi all! back for final 20- i have a question i'm hoping someone might be able to help with. my elderly mom called yesterday & asked me if i remembered the " vinegar mother poem" it is a little rhyme that starts " there were tears in the eyes of the potatoes, the cabbage hung its head" for some reason it popped into mom's head & she cant remember the rest. there is a third line then the final line is " because the vinegar mother was dead" has any one ever heard of or remember it? i've already tried google etc. i know its a silly question but it would make her happy to remember it . my gram used to recite it whenever she used vinegar in the kitchen. it's probably form the early 1900's
