thanks! she's certainly doing it tough. The good news is that the surgeon thinks the bone was healing well before the op and the plate and graft is only going to make it stronger - so he doesn't think she'll need to be in a cast

It was TERRIBLE, pink. Plastering is a really skilful trade and he thought he could do a bit just as a temporary measure until the proper guy could do it. What a mess.

The funniest bit was when the plasterer came in, looked at the wall and said 'Who on earth did THAT?'

No, he knew it was a mess and was quite frustrated that he couldn't do any better. We had watched plasterers working on our house, and like any tradesman they had made it look easy. He learned the hard way.
He was embarrassed, though!

I think he thought that the secret was in the tools. Well, tools help, but only when you've got the skill to use them properly.
