For six letter words it's triple, etc.

Yes, we did lots of kayaking--through the Inlet into Fifth Lake, and all over Fourth Lake. Yesterday AM we all went out together--all 7 ladies, as we rented kayaks for everyone, with 2 tandem kayaks. It was a blast.
I love kayaking. We did it in Belize and New Zealand

I have experienced a herniated disc in the past, but this is different--no pain with cough/sneeze/sitting. Worst pain when lying down, thus sleep was brutal. Ever seen this from just SI jt problem?

that's good news that the pain is decreasing

if you think it is getting better, you can just keep resting it and see how you do, but if it worsens at all, I'd get an MRI - mostly just to r/o any real ds - discs and stuff I usually ignore as mostly they get better

Neuropraxi, can take weeks, depending on the extent of the injury, if persistent, would R/O disc or inpeingement syndrome

it's ok scrab - i woke up to a ruptured disk in 1994 - had surgery, fell & had surgery again 10 months later - wasn't right after the 2nd - but it was so bad before my 2nd that i fell blessed just to be able to walk

we used to use one of those rotationg car wash brushes you attach to the garden hose for our big dogs
no, he's very strong and VERY afraid of abandonment. If it needs to be done, unless we anesthetize him, I have to do it.
it's tres cool... big basin, you can chain the dog to keep him/her in place and hoses for shampooing etc.
stupid question for the people who actually know how to cook... if a recipe says something like "cook over high heat for 10 minutes until cheese is melted, then simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally" am i supposed to turn the heat DOWN after the first 10 minutes?

EvaN, so much of the knowledge for cooking is "assumed" in recipe books. You might appreciate looking through a book for teens. The ones I have given my kids have been better detailed. Also Joy of Cooking often has a bit more background on how things are done.

Well, the Maintanence guy from the nursing home where I was in the ditch looked at it...
it takes time i crashed the car with 4 kids in it and was fine for a while then suddenly couldn't drive, this was weeks later, so maybe best get the shock out now

His Sister, who is 6, is still in hospital, having suffered a grumbling appendix. Then, my blood pressure is having a hissy fit. My diabetes is out of control, I am feeling like sh**, and then to top it all off, my Aunty dies.
