I've told people over and over -- the themes can be found on Licket's page or if you have Expert, right up there in Resources. Babbler in England has been keeping track but is getting discouraged. I wish peope would participate but many deliberately ignore them.To me, they are half the fun, but obviously most don't care. So be it.

Great, now I get to be more worried. Just called the doctor, and teh secretary said thet the lab results look like Walter doesn't have mono but that the doctor said the results were very unclear so they will call the lab and get it figutred out and then call me. I was hoping for a just plain positive test for teh mono so I would know what was going on ands that he is in the recovery phase. Argh!

Just answered an e-mail from my husband. Elder, what's heppening is that I did call, and the secretary said the ersults are in but did not look like mono but were very confusing. Lab results should not be very confusing, so the doctor is trying to get in touch with the lab to clarify things. Then I will be called back. I know these things take time. OK, now I really am going to go cook something and eat it. Back soon. Will keep you posted too. This is the only chat I've ever seen where people actually CARE and it means a lot to me to have come to know you folks.

OK, doctor called. Turns out the lab results show that he's in general OK for all kinds of esoteric stuff like the sedimentation rate and so forth, but that they don't yet have a definitive answer on teh EBV (the mono virus). When she said that it did not look like mono, it was based on the lack of something or other I looked up yesterday in teh sample, an dit is true that only 50 - 75% of childdren get that in the blood if it is mono, but almost all adults do. So I need to call again tomorrow, and if it has not yet come in I need to call my own doctor Monday when he's back from his vacation. Now I will e-mail all this to my husband. BRB.

Yeah, that's the one. I was reading about it yesterday when I finally found a website geared toward professionals, meaning it did not gloss over stuff or talk down.
Even if the test is negative, it could be a "false negative". It sure sounds like he has a mono-like illness and the treatment = time + rest.
They did also do the titers and that's the result they said takes longer and we are now waiting on.
If it is not mono what should I look for? Toxo?

one of my jobs is interpreting phone calls for deaf people at a call center. i interpret customer service calls 20 times a day. it's the most frustrating thing i've ever done

the deaf people often aren't familiar with the phone trees, so they don't understand you can't just start talking about your problem, but have to pick billing or tech support or whatever first

*back to extended warranties* I have a very low quality laptop that I adore, as it is what could be afforded. i rarely used "regular" soap anyway, but it is nice having soap that is mostly just natural oils instead of all that chemical man made stuff that tends to cause other skin problems... especially for people like me with very sensitive skin

awesome cleaner is amazing... is cleans just about anything around the house. i use it for the kitchen, bathroom, carpet stains, etc... and it's really cheap. you can get at family dollar for just a couple bucks... i don't think you would want to use it as soap or detergent though...

ok; here it is: Merlin's Magic - Fill a 16 oz squirt or spray bottle almost full with distilled H20 and then add 3 tbs. of liquid soap. Add 20-30 drops or more of tea tree oil or antiseptic power. Shake to mix. Use on floors, toilet seats, etc.

See, with a children's picture book it's easy for people to pick it up, flip through it, and decide whether or not they like it. Plus, adults buy them for gifts. I don't think people do either so much with novels.
