my big news is that I had a meeting with our provincial self-employment program and will be starting up my own business doing bookkeeping/accounting for small businesses

it's a 1 yr program... if accepted, I start by going to class for 2 weeks, then take 5 more of their courses over a period of 10 wks... by the 13th week, my business should be ready to accept clients.
what's really neat is that once my unemployment benefits run out, I get a weekly subsidy, which doesn't get reduced even if I am getting an income from the business
that is brilliant. I am so happy for you, Hugs. Being self-employed is hard work, but it can be so rewarding. And there won't be some stupid employer anymore who le4 you clean up the mess and then fire you without thanks.

no jill-- I told you last night that she stopped at seatac on her way to Okinawa. Nearly all flights to Japan from the U.S. stop here before going on. So I drove up to see her for a few hours (she was only here for about 9 hours overnight).

I once saw that in the newspaper of the woman my Mum used to clean for and thought how 'sad' she must be to bother that much about TV. But I was very young at the time.
