Meanwhile the bad news is that the orthopedist, whom I was finally allowed to see, thinks I have a ruptured disc. I get x-rays to confirm on Monday. At least this is a step toward something actually being done...

It's lumbar, priobably just one disc. Not sure which disc is what number, but looks like four or so above the tailbone.
Four months ago I put soap into the dishwasher and could not stand back up.
in my cas,the 3 affected disks calcified and shrank over time hence coming away from the spinal nerves..it sitll lets me know that its there but it is ok for now
