thanks. I am starting to forget who has heard, so probably ought to stop telling folks! LOL
no, not at all -- brag away!! You deserve mucho kudos!!
and did you see the sad news about ExWren's husband?
no . . .
I put a condolence thread in babanon.
ok, thank you . . . I knew he wasn't doing well . . .
She wrote that she was with him and he was peaceful. I am glad for that.
55 words to go but will have to return later - things to do and places to go
sigh . . .
later anike! have a lovely day!
later, anike
I haven't heard about Sandi's daughter though -- have you?
Bye for now
no, but the GOOD news is that a week ago my mom was in the hospital with severe anemia and a mild heart attack -- but yesterday she was home and turned 83 and ate a whole piece of birthday cake!
oh, Une! what a wonderful end to what might have been sad... happy Bday to you all!
thanks :-)
why does "ares" work but "aries" doesn't, I wonder?
she loves flowers -- we had tons of "homegrown" pink peonies and rhododendron blooms in her room :-)

hi katie how was your trip?
how much do you think 1 frankfurt is for a hotdog??
do they come in packs of 8 or 10?
about $5 U.S. at a baseball game :)
it was good thank west, but it rained a lot
oh sorry to hear that katie
we still had a good time :-)
enough in door activities to off set the rain?
we tended just to sit on the balcony and play cards
morning all.
hi sprite
were you at an all inclusive resort?
yes west but they watered down the drinks so it was a bit of a disappointment
morning sprite
hi, sprite!
yummy art, rbud ;)
that's always the way
sprite I looked for an hour couldn't come up with anything I liked
looking was quite the education lol
there is sad babble news. ExWren emailed me that her husband has passed away. Let's all send her good thoughts.
stid has posted a place in babanon sprite
hi Katie & Sprite
hi lyn. Ah, good west, thanks.
that is sad news. My thoughts will be with her
Better go to work. See you all soon.
bye Katie
bye katie take care
bye Katie
Hello, sprite. Have you finished?
hi BabbleRabble, no I just started. Not enough nanosecs yet!
I am able to confirm all of the words are in the grid.
gratz on finishing and thanks for that reassurance. No grid passes for me without me doubting that very fact.
the Iroquois have returned
am still in the K hunting mode. Still 3 mia. I fear there are biggies in there.
oh my I found 2 K7s.
1 ke 7
that is my missing one then. Can't believe it, 3 K biggies. It must be an konspiracy.
grace and gene
thank you! Ks down, now for some real babbling.
218 days remaining in 2009
thank God still a long way from Xmas
goody! 218 more babble games
yay, true, west!
fireworks, may I help anyone before I poof?
I like your body art, BabbleRabble. Did you know it coincides with the icon theme? ;)

Congrats Volley!

I have the iriqouis

*giggles* Beyond help, west, you crack me up.
that was a new spelling
lollll good one, BabbleRabble
se 6 and 2 sevens start with se 4/4... then think of a crows noise....
last se 7 ending reminds me of word for goodbye
well.... I am off... have to get stitches out in the afternoon... so need to get some rest
bye Dee and good luck with that
hugs to all; have a great day /eve... *poof*
thanks dee
nite, Dee!
I had those must have been thinking of something else
hopefully dee's clues helped someone
my daughter's other name is in the grid.
not valid though... egyptian goddess of fertility
I remember such a beautiful name
thank you :) We still love it (and her) so much, and so does she.
lyn, your doggy tiara is pretty. That is one dog feeling beautiful, isn't it? And west, I have seen so much body art I loved! Too bad none is to your liking.
TY Sprite, I thought she was rather regal
couldn't agree more
was buried in the grid I mostly liked the hand art but you had that
there's this gorgeous add on dutch television of pregnant women, with their bellies done up with body art. It is amazing.
lyn perfect dog too
I have seen that done comes off eventually doesn't it?
oh yes, body art is temporary, not like tattoos. It is done with paint.
first I thought I'd use Native American war paint but started reading about Commanche raids
looks a LOT like Stew too. My daughter thought I had doctored a photo
Then I liked face painting from Papua New Guinea and read about witch hunts and torture
So I said 'forget this'
lol brilliant, lyn.
ouch, I understand, west.
and then most weren't for general viewing
I enjoy looking at henna art, that comes off, too. so delicate, some of it.
oh yes, especially on those fine indonesian hands. So beautiful.
that is why I picked hands. Some people might be shocked by painted nude bodies, however beautiful, alas.
I really enjoy a delicate flower or butterfly tattoo strategically placed but I kept finding people who belong in a circus
I'll look again and have something when I return
too much of a good thing, west, tattoos all over, ugh.
all I know is I would never have one
maybe the painted kind and maybe a long time ago
I have one, and will have another one some day.
what do you have?
I have a little sprite on my arm :) The fairy kind, not the soft drink.
of course I'll bet it's perfect
you should take a picture someday
BBL my attention is elsewhere
bfn lyn
I have been tattooed a few times but black and blue is not permanent.
not that kind, no. Luckily.
perhaps I will, west :)
I went to get a tattoo of a tattoo but was told the tattooer could not tattoo a tattoo pf a tattoo.
lol, BR!!!
sounds like you have to find a more creative tattooist.
sounds like copyright infringement
did you see jilli's icon, sprite? can't get Tiny URL to come up, but: http://www.playbabble.com/profile_mini .php?id=24882
I think it's pretty cool
that is outstanding rbud
almost picked that one! Cool, jilli :)
I have one little rose tattoo, not sure if I'll ever get another one.
aw cute rbud!
Hubby has several, thought I might try one.
did you get it recently?
no, she has been living on my arm for many years already
am looking for a pic, thought I had one, but cannot find it.
I meant the rose
ow sorry
mine's about 12 years old
I should get one the grandchildren would disown me
haha, go for it, west!
go for it! They might love it :)
I don't like pain
I got mine so it shows above a semi-low neckline, unfortunately it keeps getting lower, lol!
I'm afraid that would happen to me too
lolll everything goes south when you grow older, right
and here it's the law for retirees to move to Florida
I didn't think it hurt, really, was more like a mildly electric sort of feeling.
depends on the place. Some areas of the body are quite painful, others not.
one of our granddaughters got a tiny bee on her little toe and said it really really hurt
I saw some on the bottoms of feet I can't imagine getting one there
closer to the bone hurts more, I've always heard. a "padded" area is better.
argh, on a toe! Ouch.
I have plenty of 'padding' lol
yeah but not on my toes
me, too! lol!
maybe I'll try decals
that's what I did, to decide how I wanted mine.
rbud was your husband surprised?
No, I made him go with me.
he got yet another one while he was there
men are tough
oh oh cats howling brb
I love this grid. So many great finds!
they ran into the garage where the evil opposum lives I'm not going in there
lolllllll
it's still around? oh no!
I haven't actually seen it but I know it's waiting for me
oh the cats?? I thought the good finds. Sorry again.
lol sprite might be good finds in the garage too
good many babblets as well
yes, just found the sr4 babblet
gratz!
and the ni5, person of Japanese descent
and plural
ty didn't have those
aha!
Who agrees with Mr. Rilke? Love consists in this, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each~Rainer Maria Rilke
lovely thought
Should be each other.
it may be more than that, but as far as it goes, I can agree. And I can firework. Last word an Si6/30 that is new for me.
well, I'm a solitude, but Hubby's a social animal, lol
congrats, sprite
ok, it is a bird.
yay, sprite!!!
its a plane
its superman!
yay sprite it's a cute word isn't it?
lollllll
yes it is, will try and remember it
it's super sprite !!
you're a stitch, BR!!
*tries hard to look super in spandax suit*
not convincing, eh? 'S afraid of that. Must be off, have fun all and thanks for the laughs!
be well, sprite
bye, sprite! up, up, and away! lol
bye sprite thanks for the company
clue for the sc 5/12 before the man from glasgow please
never mind it's a fish
one of the few, lol
can't believe how many combinations I tried
Good Day Babblers!
hi rep
hey westford!
hey all
im finally in the grid. (ge4)
Morning all. I can not beliee it but the Orlando Magic won again last night.
Good morning, H
morning. How are you BR.
I have been better but no acute distress.
Oh n o. I hope it is reparable.
hi red good for them
its great for our economy, my main interest. all those t shirts, and of course people coming here for the game last night...
Has the rain, stopped?
sort of. We are back to the rain in the afternoon pattern, more nromal. and I am pleased. You? still with hail?
41 and dark
red you didn't get as much as Daytona did you?
No not nearly, I am about 45 min from Daytona. We had about 1 foot.
that's too much too
We also have hills, so while we are declared a state of emergency, the damage is less.
raining here now and cold just when I think it's safe to put away the winter clothes
have the opossum help you
I'll skin the evil critter and wear him for a hat
not really
Ok, well, sun has shown up. must make a bold attempt to run. see you all in about an hour.
bye red you'll run faster if you imagine an evil opossum chasing you
You know, west, I shall try that...
lol
I'm going to get some coffee
G'd Morning Babblers!
Good? morning, poopy grid :(
***Shh, everybody be vewwy vewwy kwiet***
Fm! Yah, words certainly aren't flowing for me.... Gah G'd morning :D
*whispoers - and its pouring down*
goodmorning FM & Lori
Thank goodness. I thought it was only me who wanted to say nasty things about <------- that.
Hey Lynx! Raining again FM? Last day of sun here, monsoons start tomorrow
Not <---------Spangle, the grid. Just in case of misunderstandings.
Haz!!! and lynxxx, Hi there.
G'd morning haz, art thou struggling with this ugly little grid too?
I am so glad it is not just me.
Yes, I am struggling and not enjoying it one little bit.
AND it's raining.
I've tried some very creative words, and not had much success.
lol but tomorrow it is going to be 24 degrees, allegedly!
Yah yah, you just believe that too, don't you. :p
I don't care. It's raining today and this grid is nasty.
Found quite a few babblets. lol Lori
oooh, forerunner of a potential Haz tantrum? How unseemly.....\nThe hi 6 anagram words are exhibit A of enhancing my stress level with this grid. Poopy
and those would be 2 of many of my missing words :(
Well, to be honest, those hi words kind of please me. We use them to describe a certain type of cough. Not found in dictionary, of course.
I tried to do small word voluems first, but it was sucking my will to live (see above), so I changed my approach
I don't have an approach, I just want to retreat.
This is a truly hideous grid!
Amen, sister!
Prob'ally not a bad idea. Uni has an unbelievably busy day. She'll be skipping this grid.
Had to laugh this morning, the window cleaners turned up, it's pouring down and there is scaffolding over most of the windows. They took one look and whent away!
Preachin' to the choir Sista'! G'd morning Ehva :)
morning lori
FM, gee I wonder why they elft.
morning Eva
That's what we should have done with this grid, FM - turned on heels.
morning lynxx, and FM and Haz
Hi Eva! and Merp :)
If BabbleRabble tries to claim that this is easy, there'll be a lynch mob after him.
It's unusual for a grid this big to be this awful
Okay, maybe not a lynch mob, but there'll be frosty silences.
good morning everyone;)
that won't stop him though,
hi Cross
good morning babblers :)
Good morning cross. Now, don't start this, if you value what remains of your brains.
G'd morning cross
LOL Haz and Hi crossy ((()))
Morning all. If the dictionary allows 'people from Denmark', why not people from Ireland? Must be to do with pastries, I guess.
Its OK once you get all the 7s
Good morning Nono.
G'd morning Nono! ***Hi Mr Nono***, Mornin' Jacula
hi Jac
50 left to find here.
Good morning Jacula.
and Nono!
f m:))) ((()))
I have a few minutes before i get hubby's breakfast and hoping to get NBT
and when might that be? I only have 3 of them. Including the 8 combo.
I'm awed Jac... :) Go go go!
lynxxx. You're not supposed to disagree with us, you're supposed to join in the moaning.
Hey JAcs and Nono (and anyone else that is about to appear)!
and morning to everyone else popping aboard;
I wish I had seen your comments before I started this very NASTY grid.
I had thought it was just me, peri. Apparently not.
Jacula, I did get your email with the reduced icon but the e-mail has disappeared. Would you be kind enough to re-send the reduced picture to me. I would really appreciate it.
totally agree!
Peri - will do. I'll go and do it now.
I've lost all self-respect-can someone do clues for the 7's? I've got ke7/44, oc7/32 and si7/44
I am not a happy camper here, Haz. It is gray and overcast and is supposed to rain later today. Much cooler than is has been the past few days.
Thanks Jac
I am so heartened by the fact that it really is a poopy grid and not my lack of babble skill today. Hey peri! and saanichat, haven't seen you for ages!
Not a hope Eva, don't have a single 7 yet
crossy is not happy to hear that this is a poopy grid;(
Peri - it's done.
don't have a single 7 or the 8 :(
Peri, it's raining here as well and it has been raining for the past 9 years, or so it feels.
***diving back in***

Peri - right click on photo, save as. Name it and put it in a folder of your choice.
can I save it to my desktop?
We could use Prozac, those oi7/44 have yet to appear in anything that flatters anybody.
Peri - yes.

It's not raining here but must have been earlier, as I see Paul brought all the washing in and hung it on the airer.
ugh, thanks jac - I thought the seal word was spelled with an se, so I wasn't getting anywhere
Yup zooz and earlier it was the window cleaners :)
the picture is saved to my desktop but when I click on my icon, the picture takes up the whole screen and I cannot see the words" update icon or edit ;(
gardening in the rain has the advantage that the blackflies don't suck all the blood out of you in the rain
You're sure they're not press photographers in disguise, FM? Has word got out about you?
Trif - it sometimes is. I tried it, too.
HI
Ah, now that is one problem we don't have in England Eva.
HERIN!!! pounce
Oh heck Haz you might be right, they will be lookinbg for George.
jac, we always say that my daughter is one....she is so happy in the water it is unREAL
I knew it. You need to be terribly discreet, FM, it's the only way.
Hi herin.
if anyone is interested, you can google adamant blackfly festival and see ou annual celebration of "the bug we love to hate".
How are you all.
peri if you look at the top right hand of your computer screen the is a dash a small square and a red X....just click on the dash to make the picture go down to the taskbar...thats at the bottom.
Peri - Having clicked on your bio, I see what you mean.
I don't know what to do, Jac. Maybe Dr God could help
Eva how is Merp and Trifs the kitties and Haz Spangle wonder dog and Jac animals?
ok zoom will try
Can't resist a good google, will take a look.
and Peri Kitty kittty
Spangle's fine. She doesn't have to do the grid.
Eva - se6/21 - se** (sounds like a part of a play) + ** (abbreviation of Arnie's US state). se7 = plural.
the kitties are a handful!!! they keep escaping and hiding themselves in all sorts of interesting places - up inside chairs, couch cushions, and the like
Merp is doing well thank you herin. Lying at my feet snoring away. However, has developed a real foot fettish, and nibbles on the toes of guests.
Peri - perhaps he can delete the pic for you?
thanks Jac!
Eva - se7/32 (2nd) - the plant - same start then UK criminal investigation dept with diff last letter.
I did that zoom but my whole profile goes to the taskbar
will e-mail dr god. bbs
se7/32 (the plant) is also known as Brachyglottis.
Get him to change the grid while you're at it, peri.
Haz - LOL! No! I've only got 44 to go. He can change it when I've finished.
there am spoiling the spawnling..he is funneling back eggs over easy and toast and jam:)
why do i keep wanting to type the word `toast`...lol
"Kinesia" should be a word. it is pretty to say. hmmm - definition? I know!!! a selective memory disorder where you can "forget" you are related to certain people
its morning again..right????
No, I'm being totally selfish, Jac. I want a new grid. Who cares about others?
hello car..well afternoon here..lol
got it jac!
No wonder your nation isn't allowed in the grid, Haz! LOL
Is this grid poopy?
big time herin!
It's a stinker.
ok e-mailed Dr. God. not sure he will change the grid tho
hi Carlee - its your grid today!
Yup incredibly poopy for a grid this size :(
Jac, what do you use to resize pictures
mega super dooper big time herin
very stinky grid
hey all
its my grid is it????
Come one, peri, you're one of our oldest members (in terms of doing the grid) - surely you've got some influence?
70 left and I
ok..let me check
tired of it
me thinks that once a grid is in place,we are stuck with it;)
LOL zooz Hey bfs
not getting the se7 (plant) or the oi7 or the si7
See how annoyed I am? Can't even type on without making it one.
I need a tablet, any colour will do.
LOL, Haz, glad you think I have any influence with Dr G
io7 is a old time term for rain coat or sou" wester
*hands Haz one of the special blue and pink ones*
oi that is
Haven't had to use those for a while!
oi7 - as worn by fishermen to protect from storms etc, standard British summertime wear.
one good thing. I have another focus group this Fri. 45 min for $100
Are they the double strength ones? I like them.
wait, I do have the oi7, thanks Haz
That is good peri!
I have 5 of the 7's
They are the special ones I keep just for you Haz :)
i tried to go to a focus group once..never could pay attention:)
OK i guess i will just eat my pizza
Hi Crossie
Wow, I need a lot more coffee before I start this grid.
Thank you FM. I don't normally demand them but I'm in dire need.
Gail - dont start it just enjoy the coffee!
hahaha..nice one crossy
DON'T START, GAIL!
howdy herin:)
wish I had seen your warning before I started Haz
mmmmm! nice hot cuppa;)
See what the grid has done to Haz - she is shouting, undeard of!
i`m doing well i only have to find another 189 words..LOL
Good advice, but I will try it. Maybe more sour cream vanilla strawberry bread toasted with that coffee.
really, Haz, you are definitely not yourself since you started this grid
I know, peri. I keep suggesting that DR G instals a transcript thingy with rolling news. Today's would read, 'This grid will seriously annoy you, so think carefully before starting'
warning this grid may cause irratibility, nosebleeds, bloating and a sudden desire to see is a monitor can really fly:)
Hey there Crossie
I know, FM, and if you could make the font any bigger I would have shouted even louder.
I wish we could stop working on nasty grids and not have it change our ranking
I like that idea Haz
lol ive never looked my ranking:)
I keep suggesting it, but Dr-G never sees. Maybe you could suggest it while you're getting the grid changed?
Things like 'there's an extra word in Lickety' could go on it.
does the list go that far to the bottom?
well I already sent one e-mail. let's see what happens with that first
not seeing any n words today
There's how to start a rumout in the log. Talk about an extra word in Lickety and see how long the rumour lasts.
just found a babblet, na4/4 from bottom n
My "Who's Hot" ranking goes down even though I finish every single grid. I have no idea why.
You're not paying Dr-G enough, Gail. Simple as that.
just checked my ranking..only at 922 :-(
Oooooh, never thought of that! Well, it will just stay down then.
Zoozzoom has made the same mistake.
whee! only 3.5 million and i can be a elder;)
Woot! NBT and only 131 left to find
LOL
Time to get the dog and leave for work. I will struggle with the grid once I get there.

Eh, but hockey is a Canadian sport :P
Ever see Lewis Black's comedy bit about the 2 Starbucks opposite each other in Texas? Hysterically funny.

Well, I am back and I see that pesky grid is still there.
Welcome back and hi, Haz
Wb Haz, yep, in all its poopy glory.
Hello Annie. I'm feeling a touch nervy today (it's the grid's fault). I even used capitals this morning.
ok, A-D done, have to start homework, bbl
You'll know I've gone over the edge if the !! start proliferating.
I have taken hold of myself and have meted out the !!!'s.
You're such an inspiration, Annie. A steadying influence in a sea of uncertainty about whether any more words really exist in that abomination over there.
clue please for ca 6 21 the last
Finally finished the bottom row. Missed some basic words. Poopy
I'm missing a bunch of c'
Missed basic words are just the worst. Permission to kick something.
The esses will send me Over the Edge. Kick away, Hazel
Oooh, kicking something seems so appropriate right now. Still 29 left after all this torment
Thanks, Annie. The desk is getting what for today.
I love what fors
cherly, my last ca (not done yet) is latin ending of a gambgling place

A gambgling place? Where all the people at roulette wheels wear bling?

I believe this is the never ending grid lol
congrats, Trif
woohooo Congrats Trif
Congratulations Trif! (said through gritted teeth while kicking a desk)
yeah trif,, way to prove me wrong lol
Looky' here Mrs "I'm so frustrated I typed in Caps".... Glass Houses and all that. :p
thanks all. Off to clean the house now ---- no good deed goes unpunished....
Congratulations Tri
*hides Lori's eyes*
Clean the house? ***My eyes!!!!***
Well, Lori, it serves you right!
your eyes would burn worse if I didn't clean it, lori!
Refusing to take my criticisms lying down. That's what you get..
On a happy note, I have actually found some more words since I came back. Not enough, but it's better than nothing.
Somebody's full of piss'n vinegar today! ***backs away slowly....***
my last resort...going to wash the coffeemaker in the hopes of finding words when I return...later, dear babblers
Tri, if it comes to that, there's always safety goggles.
I hope that woman doesn't ring after hours again tonight...
lol Annie, catch ya' later perhaps.
Bye Annie, see you later.
***My dog's itchy all'uva sudden***
So scratch him!
Re-emerges after several phone calls to view the bedlm in the log!
That missing i torments me so. Fish worthy is it?
Hah "bedlm" tell her Haz, tell her!!!!!
Hello FM - It's Lori's fault.
Bedlam.
Lori made me.
am going to rub salt into the wounds as I have finished!
Whoa now, that was a typo, right? You meant FM.... :(
It's strange how much you can go off people, isn't it?
LOL
You sassy frass! Hush now. Finished, pshaw!
hi fm
***ribs aching...***
Hi cheryl
only have 127 left
well stop scatching then Lori :D
I do have all the i words, I think. Unless some more have appeared while I've been gone. They're normal.
Go cherly!
Normal? Darn. Looking again complete with pouty face. Thanks Haz.
How did you manage to finish, FM? Did you ask for lots of clues?
Prob'ally asked for every word to be clued. Twice.
heh heh :)
It's the only way one could finish this grid.
At least. Probably more I'd think.
Did you hack into someone else's list?
OMG, I'm sooooo glad I didn't ask for the third i. (make 'yer own jokes)
yes I words all very normal
ROFL
You'd have blushed worse than I did the day I reported laughing out loud somewhere.
You wouldn't have been able to continue playing babble at all. You'd have had to change your name and try to begin again.
were you in pubic haz *snort*
ty for i clues
And we'd all have been saying 'Whatever happened to that Lori?'
oh hell
And we'd reply ' she asked for a clue for an i word'
C'mon now haz, shirley you don't expect me to believe you showed emotion.
Yay it has finally stopped raining!!
Emotion? I literally sat with my sweater over my face to try to stop the blushing from lighting up the neighbourhood.
Yea for FM, no more rain!
darn phone again brb
Hooray! No rain for 10 minutes, Guinness book of records being informed.
Holy cow. Missed more totally normal words with the g. ***les sigh***
FM still hasn't revealed how she did this grid. She's being very secretive, don't you think?
Still missing a g though. Yuk
Is there a dial-a-babble-word phone line do you think?
I used lickety and counted a lot
I believe that FM found some kind of internet tool to assist, OR she's simply lying as I personally believe this grid is un-possible.
once I got down to about 40 left.
Did you count out loud? Does that help?
Abacus? Toes? Fingers?
hmmm ponders the possibility of setting up a babble clue line. Out loud and used toes and fingers.
Slide rule?
Maybe that's where I'm going wrong. I've not been counting out loud enough.
A babble clue line might be a real money-spinner. You'd need to have great telephone manners.
Gah, last r. The Indian sounding word. Yeesh
Sort of calm and soothing and not laughing out loud when people ask for a clue to a normal i word. No yells of 'Wait till you hear what Lori's asked for now!'
Oh I was thinking more along the automated responses rather than real people.
Oh come now, clue a word 6 or 7 different ways, and I'll get it. Eventually.
not as much fun automated
It'd be far more fun with real people.
press 1 to really be insulted, press 2 for a cryptic clue, press 3 to e fished etc
I'm telling you, this could be a whole new industry.
i have as much fun trying to clue as doing grid (most of time)
You've got the idea, FM!
Something like "You've reached the Babble Clue Line For 4 letter word clues press 1,4,3,8,4,6,0,7,5,6,1,2,4,3,1,2,78, in the correct order
LOL Lori
And you'd have to pay more for each clue that you don't get.
We could make a fortune on huge grids.
Does anyone know how to copyright an idea?
cherly, isn't it great to see the different ways words can be clued?
If you're frustrated, please press # key repeatedly
We'd need people to solve the words, then people to write clues (20 per word) then people to sit and answer the phone.
yes it is
And can I put in a plea that if the lines are busy, we do NOT tell people that their call is important to us.
though have to admit sometimes get frustrated if clue 3 different ways and they still dont get it
Okay, the g's annoyitating me now. Anyone know if there's just the 2 go's so I can at least narrow it down?
well said cherly!
Frustrated when giving clues? Whatever next? I have been known to throw things at the screen.
I hear that cherly!
only 2 x go
Haz when i get that message on a phone i yell back "if I'm important to you talk to me!
Mercy Buckets FM. ***Haz must go through a lot of monitors***
Exactly, Nono!
Nono knows.
2 gos
Oooh, that's a word. T'was a 7. Mercy Buckets again FM. Thanks cherly
And the music for when the lines are busy - it needs to be soothing but not soporific. Bright but not too energizing.
Now just a ridiculous volume of c's and c's, all 22 of them. Gah
No music, it's maddening enough being on hold
Greensleeves played on a Stylaphone?
As long as we don't have the human saxophone - one of the alleged acts on Britain's got Talent.
Perhaps some Greek Dancing music, but that's only if you've been on hold in excess of 1 hour.
Talk about deluded.
finally got 100 words, only 115 to go
The music could be optional as well. Maybe we could recruit some live musicians - just don't tell Vicuna in case she wants to sing.
Wow! What a time to enter!
Quick, talk about something else.
Hello Vicuna dear!
Hey Vi!
Just in time to have my suspicions confirmed: all Haz ever does is abuse me behind my back. Sheesh.
G'd afternoon Vic. Watch out for Haz, she has GMS today
And how are your children?
Achieving glory in twinlike fashion?
Oh, try to appease me by inquiries after my offspring, will you? Well, it won't work!
Hello, dear FM and Lori!
And your wonderful artistic endeavours? Do they go well?
=P
I keep trying to "ish" words, but not much luck with that.
Vit forgive Haz, I have had to administer the blue and pink pills to her for the first time in ages!
You've found the Denmark one, I take it?
***I'm starting to question the very fabric of my existance now***
Oh okay. All is forgiven. In token of which I shall croon a tender song of forgiveness...
I know, Vicuna. I'm not myself today.
Just kidding.
Yes Haz, amazingly enough d is finito
And Lori's in denial about being alive as well. It's the grid!
IS the fabric of your existence satin or chintz?
By he way Vi, if you haven't started the grid, DON'T!
EARPLUGS! NOW!
Singing could be the straw that breaks Haz's back. Tread carefully.
Too late, alas, FM. I have 131 down.
LL
LOL even
The grid is pure evil. I await the Priest who is conducting the exorcism.
Awww, I wouldn't want to break Haz's back.
Back to do battle with the last 59.
THank you, Vi. You're extending more mercy than I deserve.
It'll be a listing day, at any rate.
Good luck with dat Judi. WB
Oh sorry Lori, he isn't coming, he is tied up in Soduko land right now.
14 left and mostly s's that ARE NOT THERE
ANy time, Haz. Just takign the high ground the better to drop burning coals down on you, or something.
That's just great FM, now what do I do.
Your arrival reminded me of the embarrassment I felt ages ago when one babbler arrived just as we had been slagging her off for demanding spoonfeeding of clues.
ki7 anyone either?
Hello Judi.
Stop being such a wimp Lo and get those words found!
*scrolls back to make sure I haven't been slagged* I think I'm safe. I haven't asked for clues... yet.
Yes. One must never forget that the chat is a public forum. Which makes it all the more odd to me when people share such personal stories... but let's not get into that right now! ;)
is it dangerous to ask for clues?
ki7? Good gracious! *looking*
Not like FM, Judi.
half finished, but the wall looms ... all the easy ones are found, I fear ....
Nope, rur. Only dangerous to demand that every letter be spelled out because one is too lazy to figure anything out.
No, ruru. Unless you ask for the same word to be clued twnety different ways.
*sigh* I ust be off again. Bye for now.
whew.. wondered if I had to put protective head gear on while playing
here it is: ki7/48 - cattle + --- the dog on the thief
ru, expand on 'yer ki 4 by adding opposite of Bro, then change last letter to 3rd letter
Bye FM. We'll talk about you once you're gone.
hi & Bye FM
Laters FM!
Awww, FM, but I've hardly had any chance to bask in your presence! =(
I expect nothing less dear Haz :)
Kindly, of course. 'That FM, what a blessing she is'
bye bye FM
thank you lore
That FM. She's like sunshine on a cloudy day.
But, FM... if you go, who will we blame?
'No-one can come close to FM when it comes to counting fingers and toes'
No one can say FM doesn't count.
FM is a true friend and babbler.
'FM - able to solve a grid with no more than a pencil, a paper and her digits'
Well, she does usually use her computer, as well, i believe.
Extra digits! Turning genetic mutation into a mathematical benefit.
Hi fellow Babblers!
Okay, pencil, paper, computer and unbelievable numbers of digits.
ki 7: biblical term for cattle + sibling
Why, how many digits does FM have, anyway? Like 30 or so? 48?
Hi Beach
good morning everyone :)
At least 50 - it's the only way she can cope with the high scoring words.
She brings new meaning to the term "Digital Age."
Morning cyber
Really! Think of the texting ability!
Hello, cybernan, and everyone el4!
FM's not the only babbler to have problems with genetic mutation. I remember the day Ata announced that she was having a boob removed from her back. Except that it was a blob, but still. I worried for a while.
Morning Nan
Good morning cybernan.
Hmmm, yes. Evolution has not favoured mammals with boobs on their backs.
Well there's a dilema. Which is worse? A supernumery mammary or an alien infestation?
Try getting a bra to fit.
Well, you can try to remove them both, but the mammary is less likely to fight back, so I'd rather deal with that.
You can get rid of the chest asset/back defect. Those aliens are tricky.
*quickly adjusting boobs to front* hello all! hey vi! didn't see you there!
Afternoon everyone
Wow, adjustable boobs! Now that's a breakthrough!
Hello stidmama - and Becca!
Hello, stidmama and Becca!
Hi, Stid & Becca. Wow, Stid. You must be very poplular at the beach.
rofl...
did you get my ki 6 clue or were you so busy chatting you missed it?
movable boobs?
Hi Stid and Becca
I am working on the paper that is due next week, and trying to do the research from home -- but it's looking more and more like I will need to be doing a fair bit at the college library... *sigh*
of course that got ruru's attention!
I missed it, nan...
just trying to keep abreast of the situations stid
*groans*
Arrrrgh.
ki 6: biblical cattle + sibling
oooh! NOW I got it!!!
For pity's sake. I've been looking at this grid for centuries and only now see the female relative. Did I get hypnotised today or something?
Ata has a bonus boob on her back, stidmama's got adjustable boobs, Judi's got an alien-infested boob... I feel so... boring.
*ignoring ruru -- sorta*
should give you the ge 7 as well
But Ata got the bonus thing taken away so she's as normal as she's ever going to be.
there there, vi -- alpacas aren't boring, just... *considers word choice* functional.
oh! it did! almost to halfway!
I did not know there were so many boob options...
Let the record show that I have neither alien infestation nor extra boob(s).
Haz dont forget to plural that relative
trying to work out what biblical cattle are
Does Judi's "phone home?"
140 down and off for the list
If you want options, just phone the new babble clue line - once it's up and running you'll be spoiled for choices.
*tosses bag of stem cells to Vic*. Grow your own!
Biblical cattle are relatives + a vowel
think of the plagues in egypt
becca, try : ki* (relative) + last four letters of the first book of the Bible
Thanks, Judi, but to tell the truth, when I want eccentricity I usually just go with the owl ont he head.
oh, I've never heard that word for cattle before. Thanks
one more s word
when I want eccentricity, I just make sure all the fuses are pointing the right way and plug in to the wall...
go nanette go!
And then you get a dreadful eccentrical shock?
any clues for the left e?
indeed I do -- sometimes! I had curly hair once...
left E are en 6 and EC 6
en 6 is the left e
ec6/21 and en6/18 come from the left E
en 6: an + short for small land mass in big water
ec 6: ec + end of first biblical book
thanks, i have them oth now - and a grey tile!
ah. down to 100 and heading for the list when I come back. You folks are sure more interesting than looking at old census records and phone books!
I've never had a compliment like that before, stid. Thank you!
Ah, phone books. Just wait till you get to the Smiths. Fascinating!
I've never been compared to a phone book before either. Thanks stid!
I can hardly wait for the sequel!
Finally.......... FIREWORKS!
hi everyone.. and tyvm stid for the ec clue.. needed that!
YAY YAY YAY Nono!!!

no eg words
Ho hum, I'm off. Don't overdo the grid!
well then, may i please have a clue for the left column e?

don't think there are any eg's
thanks, at least i have nbt now

Do you use Lickety Wokan?
also www.morewords.com is helpful if you know what the first two letters are
hadn't heard of those.
If you don't want to use his 'normal' list, to the right of it is a list of the 1st 2 letters and the number of words that start with those
Link to Lickety is at the bottom under Friends of Babble
Wouldn't know the first two letters of what I'm missing anyway. Limited budget for online games.
Closing out. See you later.
Suggest you look at Lickety. You can also do a Bulk Add into his list. Instructuions at the bottom

Hello hurshy! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Hi Pam
Hello pam! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle
hey, suze
Pam. hi there.
hi, min
RED!!!!!
Many thanks, DR1965 and Min.
hows things Pam?
yw
things be things, red. 8^)
as some of you who happened to be around may know, i was in a very bad car accident friday night. i was not hurt, but car rolled over twice. since then, i have found that a witness reported what happened all wrong (presumably, since he was on the side of the road, he wasn't actually paying attention before he heard the crash and just made up a picture in his mind about what had happened without even realizing that he was doing so), and the police report seems to be largely based on his statement, and it's all very very maddening.
good for things.
Hursh, I am glad that you are not hurt.
Hursh, I had no idea. Glad you weren't hurt. That really and truly sucks, hursh. So-called witnessing....
so sorry hursh, thank the Lord you're ok!
the policewoman did not even put anything that i told her happened in her report.
Can you write down what happened and give it to them??? or your insurance Company????
of course. you have to write down what happened and give it to them and insurance. i did that. but like, i am concerned about being believed.
ke4-8 the 2nd please. Thanks
I am stopping at 185 words and 1988 points.Bye to all
Goodnight to my fellow babblers!I'll see you tomorrow
Sweet dreams, Min.
ciao, min
by min
do you need help w/it
Sorry to hear about your frustration hurshy, but I'm glad you are okay. That is what really matters most!
goodbye Min.
i feel like a lot of people i've had contact with as a result of the accident have just been really ... mean. even the guy at the towing place where i went to get stuff out of the glove compartment was like, i dunno, being judgmental about me having been in a crash, even though he knew nothing about it and it was not my fault. like "your car looks really bad so you must be bad".
*waving goodbye to pam and point to the penalty box
LOl--I refuse to not use my adieu because it's gridded, min... Consequently, I own the PB when it's in the grid...
Hursh, hard as it is, I think you need to let go of what other people project on to you --- who knows what car accidents they've been in... Car crashes tend to do that to folks--hit close to home
I am sorry you are having a hard time Hurshy!
i will try - but still, it will probably leave an added layer of cynicism residue in my character.
couldI have a clue for the an 6.
Well, hell's bells, of course it will leave that residue. You and I are magnets for that. 8^)
don't have it, red....
Oh found it.

an vowel but misspelled being ill.
sure, after all that lol
hurshy, are youall right, physically?
hi hurshy I'm so sorry to hear of your car accident.it must have been very scary
yes. it's just wounds of the heart caused by unreliable witness and derelict police officer.
hurshy: what is the worst thing that can happen as a result of those actions?
my insurance rates could go up.
hurshy: you've got to learnh to say, F*** 'em. higher insurance rates are no reason to feel bad about yourself and question the motives of other people.
IMHO not that you asked
i don't really question their motives. i don't think they meant to do anything wrong, i think it's just human psychology going awry.
se6/18 please
would you consider putting an ad in the paper asking if anyone saw the accident?maybe another witness?
some people see dead people, I see the letter "F" in a grid where it does not appear....
don't sweat it. if you had my body shop owever - he could not wait to see me, the state of the car disturbed him so, he was concerned. let it go.
sue, I don't have it sorry

Hurshy, after working in the bank fior more than 25 years, I ralixe most people are not good winesses ... involved in more than a dozen robberies, the only perp I could positively identify was the one who held a gun to my head ... the others were what I thought they might be.
I must have the wrong 4/4 before it
ralixe ???
yeah. i know that and you know that - hopefully my insurance company will fight hard on that fact. they probably don't care much since the costs involved are not large to them, no injuries.

Star Trek. Very looking forward to it... know nothing about it and that is what makes us want to see it! Plus, Eric Bana is in it!
oooh we are just discussing it, mr p!
it is a gr8 movie mrpresident
To and Hursh were just discussing it. Haven't seen it, not sure I want to. did go see Angels and Demons. now that's a WOW movie
I would see it again!
not the plot - tho i undrstand there is not much of one - just general stuff about the characters
many fans are male, obviously, and like it largely for the action. i found out during premiere of STVI, when the audience all cheered at the wrong place.
Hi, MRP!
I LOVED hte book Angels and DEmons, don't know if I want to "ruin" it with a movie....
lol, doncha just love it when that happens? lol
LOL you make me harken back to my convo with crossy about it earlier this weeK!
I want to see Night at the Museum II, its on Imax here.
The book was awesome, the movie is fast paced and really good. Not as much on the artwork tho.
Hi Pam!!
pam the movie is good, but it is a bit different than the book
Angels and Demons is very good!
brb, luandry
Red, I want to see night at the museum II also!
I read the Da Vinci Code, billiant stuff - saw the movie - so so
lbd we should go! LOL...
Cmon up, matinee's are only 6.25
DaVinci was good with the graphics, the story line was...eh.
it helps if you haven't read the book recently...then you don't mind the changes
I didnt really find the book great literature.
HELLO
5 dollar matinees here;)
hi turtle and harp
hello harpjane.
I didn't like Tom Hanks in DaVinci Code. but he's okay in Angels and Demons
Hi Harp!
great literature is hard to come by... one of my favourite books is Fountainhead
Ayn Rand! awesome book
I can read that over and over and over.....
Our matinee prices went up to pay for the new multiplex theaters
yes, Tom Hanks has lost a little weight for the movie, and he looks more physically fit (swimming0 to be the character
I want to read Atlas Shrugged, but it seems a bit daunting at the moment
what's it about lbd?
i have a friend who is an objectivist and i honestly don't even understand what he is talking about half of the time....
objectivist! ok!
I think you're right, Robbie. Hanks looked younger in A&D although still didn't have a lot of physical presence.

red care to dispense a med opinion?
ahhh..sounds interesting lbd!
thanks
it was written back in the late 50's so it will be interesting to see if anything she's written has changed

Oh Maybe maybe not TO, depends.....
Whats going on?
I would care to finish off this grid, its getting to me.

Hi JMC.

Ahh I think the magic have a day off but may be playing in Cleveland.
he said he did not think they were playing today
I faed everything back today just waiting on inspection, and fixing stuff....
looking good!
Glad you got it faxed back, red! Hi, JMC
hi pam
I am worried about inspection, but...I am hopeful. They have to inspect it by June 5 soI shall know.
May I please have a clue for ni5-10? Thanks
you can always fix what they find
hey peach!
Hey there, jmcnrick. How are you tonight?
so one of my clients told me he would give me $$$ if I promised to go somewhere I have never been before.
Wellhopefully there is not a new or soon to be discovered termite problem. thats really all I am worried about, i think. that and the septic tank and the....
jmc, do you not go to new places?
does the client want to go with you>
I think he felt bad because I felt bad because I think I lost my hearing today
lol his wife would object!

Oh no how so.
he thinks I need a sabbatical
jmc can you hear?
no no red not that! lol
I was in an arbitration hearing!
ni5-10 please. Thanks
ohhhhh
you freaked us out
OH! I thought the same thing Red did!!!
well, that is no fun, but I am glad you can hear. clearly we are not arbitrators.
so sorry!
I am sorry peach I do not have it
ni5/10 is a person of japanese decent that is educated in Canada
my husband was deaf so I already konw sign
i had a friend who thought he lost his hearing in one ear once. went to the doc all panicked - it was a big thing of earwax, ewwww.
Thanks anyway, jmcnrick
common babble word
that does happen hurshy
My Mother has lost all hearing in one ear, in one day, so I tend to get concerned when I hear things, totally changed her life.
how odd to lose it in one day!!??
that is very common hursh
one of my cats, marty, doesn't cuddle with my husband, only me. he doesn't dislike other people, but he's like the baby dinosaur on that 90's show "dinosaurs" - everyone else is just "not the mama!" so since i was away for several days, he is now on my lap every minute i have a lap.
she had a stroke which affected her auditory nerve.
can't count the ears I have dewaxed... old man hairy ones
strokes are very bad.
so sorry Red
She thought she had water behind her ears, called her doc who prescribed antihistamines...and it wasnt until a week or two that they realized her hearing was gone.
My Mom is great, but she really can not hear on the right.
that is sad red
Hi Kje- thanks for the mental picture
That stinks, and is so scary, red. I always have crackling in one ear, and I am terrified of losing hearing in that ear....
hello again, the lecture is on break... is your mother okay otherwise?
JMC--are you an arbitrator, too? Or was it a CO hearing? I am a bit confused--as always...
Hi, stid
bummer red....
She doesnt play piano anymore and I miss that, but she has learned to cope fairly well, and uses it all the time to get better seats on airplanes.
hi babblers
hello dave
Welcome back Stid
okay, I need help on the last se 7
Hi Dave
please
hi dave and stid
anytime, DR... can talk about disimpacting other areas as well if you like... though red could likely describe better than me - LOL
hi stid :)
stid- just change the last 2 letters of the one above
TMI TMI TMI
the last se 7 ends with AFL-***
se + half a goose + AFL-***
thanks BR and DR!
ty kje and BR
Dave- are you better?
hi BR
welcome BR
luckily we dont do that in the ER here. it requires too much time.
I am fine...maybe I just stayed in my room to avoid everyone else?
hello dave. and BR.
women never do not have impacted ears? only hairy men?
point well taken
hi red
they were talking aobut lack of hearing and I did not mention our experience
more common in men BR.
my worst ER experience (besides my own visit of course) was prolapsed vowel... and putting it back... traumatic
I hear just fine...i ignore the rest.
it's all the wax that makes men so slick!
men more commonly, BR
LOLOLOL a prolapsed vowel.
All I am going to say is hearing aids work wonders if you actually USE them
yeah, i hate it when my vowels prolapse.
prolapsed vowel - LOL... I meant bowel...
sorry kje.
it made me giggle.
some onlyn use them when they care what other say.
but you can see how a prolapsed vowel could be traumatic, no??? LOL
my vowels are always prolapsed...
I have got to finish these 18, its getting late and I am really tired.
what's AFL stand for? (keep thinking aflatoxin, and that's obviously wrong)
go Red Go!!!
ROFLMAO.....
how about the SH 6/7 combo? I have 18 too red, wanna ra4?
I am down to 25
what's aflatoxin?
JES_ think UNIONS!!!
it can be handy - i had a friend whose whole family was partially deaf. when her stepmom went to vacuum or anything else loud and annoying, she would say, "hearing aids off, everyone!"
the bad stuff in some mold that causes seizures
aflatoxin -- isn't that the shellfish poison?
LOL pam - I know what it is, but think it is funny she knows aflatoxin and not the union organizers
Stid will win.
thanks!!!!
LOL,kje!
actually a poison produced by fungi
Stid- High squeeky screems
* sreams
American Federation of Labor, I think....
<--- knows nothing about unions
* screams...and yes, I am sober
OOH! thanks DR!
jes AFL is American Federation of Labor

hey all...
My dad's family has nerve deafness. Dad is 50% deaf adn hearing aids don't work. I wear ear plugs that drummers wear whenever I go to a concert... And, I don't hear music the way "regular" people do....
hey dorens
16
Hey there, Dorens.
Hi Dorens

there's a lady at work that trains dogs for Dogs for the Deaf
hey LBD!
*wondering who these "regular" people are*
YOU will never grow up.. and will enjoy it!!!
LOl, kje!
STIDDY!!
li, like a battle in a war, stid

you have to be REALLY deaf for the dogs
si5 - lay si5 to a fort maybe - attack
that's true...i will get older, but never grow up.
oh golly, battle fish, eh???
I know
May I please have a clue for si6-30 the 2nd? Thanks
and the last si 6 please?
my husband couldn't hear a firetruck siren and didn't qualify for the dog
TEN to go!!!
I'm pretty sure people get prolapsed vowels because they are NOT regular - LOL (red will understand that)
that seems strange, jmc
go stid
go Stid!
my husband refuses to wear his hearing aids because he says the world is too loud. sigh....
still 15. perhaps I should ask for clues.
I am thinking of training our dogs to be seeing eye dogs...for toddlers (they are maltipoos).
yep. *drops another irregular vowel*
they apparently have a lot of trouble finding dogs that'll make it through the training, because everyone wants small dogs, and all the rescues get are large dogs
the problem with hearing aids is that they do not discriminate between sounds
LOL dave!
down to FOUR.....
Lola is not smart enough Dave
hello
yes, red, please ask for clues. I have another two minutes to babble....
hey harp!
and Harley would just cry without her
hi again, harp

jes is putting puppies in the pb pam
and yet i keep bringing the darn things home
Jack is the "man" for me
I like puppies when all of the homeless dogs in shelters and rescues have been adopted... Otherwise, iw ant the damned breeders to stop breeding
my mother got sloshed on makers mark at the wedding last week
cuz you're a good person, Jes. James Herriot would be proud of you.
LOL, jmc
Good for mom, doresn
oh no dorens! lol
not really, she gets cantankerous when sloshed... a bit embarassing, at 81 she thinks she can get away with it
Pam, it's not just breeders, but people who don't spay or neuter they animals and let them run and roam whenver and where ever.
I simply cannot find the ni5-10...I know it is Japanese-canada...help please.
I agree pam but of course it isn't the responsible legitimate breeders that are the problem
those are backyard breeders, lbd. IDIOTS and bad ambassadors for dog ownership
Dorens...at 81, i bet she does get away with it.
ni + ***ze the day
Responsible breeders who aren't rescuing aren't responsible in my narrow definition of the word
haha lbd, i guess she does... but her grandchildren were not thrilled... she wasn't very nice
second generation Japanese person is the ni5
I see sparkles
whooooo hooooooo DR!!!
oh, that can be tough, doresn
YAY, dr!
they like me sloshed, cause i just smile and am so much nicer than normal.... but my mom gets argumentative (in what she thinks is an adorable way)
yay dr!
these are littermates, both with bad hips. i took them so i can learn/practice the approach for hip surgery. Did the girl yesterday, will do the boy in a week or 2.
wtg dr.
oh dear, grams made quite a memorable impression on the newlyweds.
LOLOL, dor!
nothing adorable about being argumentative

Hi Cwest

sorry dorens I will get to it before bed tonight
thanks for the ge. will have to monkey on the ec, because ecdysis doesn't fit...
hey DR
I had an all day hearing today and spent all day yesterday getting ready
brb
ec + vowel + not your bro but your ***
very close jes- one letter off
I was at the premier of Foxtrot, where peter Gabriel wore a foxeshead and a sunflower head during the convert.
no prob jmc... i'll be waiting whenever you get to it
*concert
pretty cool jac
ge7 was a much more complex & less commercial band under Peter
the 3rd ri4 is r+ not well
yes - very true Pug
ri4 = the word for when ou get all upset and angry about something
Tresspass is one of my all time favorite albums
or as my dear Metfan would say, one of my "dessert island picks"
whoo! t's trashed :)
ri4/4 is a small stream.
have those ri need the 3rd one please
there seems to be plenty of able cluers afoot so unless I can be of help I guess I'll hit the shower and then the pillows....
3rd ri4/4 os r+ not well
3rd ri4.4 is what you do to your hair after shampooing minus the last vowel.
g'nigth, pug, sleep sweet
ri4/4 get up or what bread does
'Night pug.
3rd ri4/? is anger
thanks jac
thanks honey & kiss all the fur children for me!
y/w cwest.

'Night Dorens.
oops sorry
its ok.. I was confused
Gnight Dorens!
eveidently so was I !
: )
Dave - are you still here>
yep...trying to finish
There are times when I wish my son (just 25 on 26th May) wasn't so like his father (my ex). There I was, happily watching a series of separate plays I'd downloaded from BBC and doing my ironing, when he came down to chat to me. But it's not a chat, it's a preaching session/a debate/a confrontational thing - certainly not relaxing.
I've had over 2 hours of it and now, instead of going peacefully to sleep, I feel more in need of a drink!
Someone said the free ticket I will get on Tuesday is a 2 fer- is that the case?
yes it is...or at least it was as of 5/5/09
dorens my computer froze and by the time i rebooted you had played already!!!!!!
that is hard Jac!
hi jac and cw
so should I buy jake a 2 fer then>
Dorens went to bed JMC
( unless she is lurking)
you dont have too...bu it will be the same price.
brb dr...
ri5-12 the 2nd please. Thanks
gapeach - it's a sage or poet (sounds Indian). It ends like Japanese cold fish stuff.
Or the Mahar**** Yogi whom The Beatles took as a guru for a while.
DR - yes, it's not always easy being a parent.:-(
I have figured that out and jake is only 10...
LOL - DR. I've got a 25-yr-old, a 22-yr-old and a 14-yr-old.
Thanks, Jacula. And I get what you are going through on a regular basis. No way to stop...just keeps going and going. Bless you.
You must be a very patient person
y/w re the clue, gapeach. And thanks for the parental support. (Truss?) LOL
back now
I am now, DR, but I didn't used to be in my younger days until I learned to 'cont to 10 first'.
Might work. Deep breathing exercises sometimes helps
Hi again....
*count
i again dave.
Or even Hi again.
Yes, I take a deep breath and Jake knows to be quiet
Hi there, DR1965, I don't remember if I said 'Hello' or not.
You did earlier Peach but Hi again
Thanks for bearing with me.
I am actually going to let Jake have the computer for 30 minutes . He wants to play 39 Clues
good luck all
Thanks, Hon.
I think the last time I really 'lost it' was when my daughter was about 3 and had emptied out all the contents of the drawers, cupboards, bookshelves and wardrobe in her room for about the 4th time in a week. It looked like there'd been a ri4 or a burglary. I just went ape and picked everything item by item off the floor and threw it forecfully along the landing whilst yelling. I remember that (now) Ex and the kids were holed up in the bedroom next door peeping out and ducking back in occasionally.:-(
ar5-10 the 3rd and 4th please. Thanks
I was like a woman possessed, but it wasn't all about the mess in the room. (I'd begun to suspect seriously at that point that my ex wasn't exactly a faithful kind of guy.)
Gotcha!
ar5/10 (1sr) is a town in France. ar5/10 (4th) is ar + 'not your bro'.
Thanks much,Jacula.
Another clue for the town in France = ar + *** Miserables.
Yes, thanks.
y/w Gapeach.
the first ca7?
oc7 and 8 please?
musical instrument played with the mouth, jes
ca7, harp, is the plural of the ca6 before it. It has many meanings but is a female name I believe there is a song about.
I'm down to 2: el4-5 and si6-30 please. Thanks
Brookes & Dunn did the song, but it had a different 1st vowel.
gap - el4.5 = el + 'Hello' greeting.
si6/30 = si6 threads. (Golden and si6. maybe)
Thanks much...Jacula.
No need for the Richie Blackmore lyrics link then? LOL.
Have that one, dear....need the very last si6-30. Thanks
Ah! That's another name for a goldfinch, my dear. 'Not your bro' + 'a member of your clan or family'.
Speaking of birds - there's a magpie doing his machinegun cry outside my window right now.
That was it. Thanks again. I'll hang around for a few minutes in case I can be of help....then back at the flip.
Oh, he's sitting atop the lamp post and is probably having a go at a fox in the garden next door.
What time is it there, Jacula?
hey
Hey there, herin.
4.47am
Howdy
Are you up for the day, Jacula?
Jac never sleeps :D
Haven't been to bed yet, gapeach.
The secret is she like to hog the bed so she waits till himself is up then she takes over it :D
Herin - that's not true, as you know, if I have home soil in my box. LOL
The reason I asked is because I have a problem getting (and staying) asleep....sometimes I can't get to sleep before dawn.
Herin - re the hog bed thing. LOLOLOL.
Gap - I have intermittent sleep problems.
Its a witch, isn't it?
It is, gapeach!
I wish that bloody magpie would shut up! It's going to wake everyone in the house up before long.
Magies are sooooo noisy go and put the cat out Jac.
ki7s please?
I'm beginning to wish I hadn't put a blanket ban on any kind of gun in the house now.... I could get a clear shot at the thug in the vest on the street light right now. LOL
The cat's snoring his head off, Herin.
Cat useless. go boot him out
Nope, Herin. It's unusual for him to be in at this time of the morn.
ki7 - 1st = and old word for a cow + a 3-letter word usually but in brackets to say the word printed has been printed as recieved (i.e. with spelling error/s)
Or, failing that, try ki* (family or clan) + vowel + 'not well minus last letter' (think 'vomit')
2nd ki7 has same start but ends in 'not your bro'.
Magpie's gone now, thak Gawd!
those were fabulous clues for the ki words jac.
can i have a clue for the 8?
Oh, I can still hear the magpie, but it's further away now. Probably following the retreating fox back to the woods.
OH i forgot kitty was free range
Thanks mkg.
Damn! The maggie's back now. Anyone got a catapault or slingshot handy?
mkg...if you are a nintendo fan, it is the plural of the zelda flute that is right above it.
I am back
Can you go outside and shoo it? Hi DR
Did you finish Dave?
oc8/45 = plural of the oc7/32, which is an oval shaped wind instrument. o + the girl's name I was talking about earlier in song.
HERIN! How are you>>> and how is school???
I could, if I could b bohered to unlock everything, Herin.
no, he didn't DR...12 left
12 left dr

BBS.
Bye jac!
OK, y'all, I'm going see what's on the news....back at the flip.
Hi/bye Peach

Nope- but she promises she will
i did try carill. nope.
Herin - I did, but not for the first time. The bloody maggie is back now.
Oh wow how terribly cute. I have only seen one wild fox my entire life
any N clues? dont have one N word yet.
I like that idea Herin!!!
oc7 = o + vehicle you drive + last 3 letters of Ike Turner's ex-wife's name.
si7 is what horse jockies wear
I wore a tshirt on tuesday that said Silence is Golden Tape is silver
na = none, and plural
mkg - no, noes, bang it in to secure wood, plural, Ms. Campbell without her 'M', na + chinese grains or American long grain without the last letter,
Shall I go on?
Hello all
HI OSGMA
Hi Jilli

Ah! I knew you meant that really. LOL
Hello Ruru
hiya
RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

ugly little grid isn't it?
Tai Chi is very funny to watch but quite soul quieting to do.
Hellllllllllllloooooooooooooooohern
chai tea is revolting.
I do not like it much either Jacula
never had it, actually. One of my fifth graders demonstrated a density column using Thai Tea.
too sweet chai
I have 55 words
herin that is
I enjoyed the grid. Even Haz and FM were moaning about it, but I didn't find it that difficult. *ducks and apologises*
better get cracking there herin
well ... you are jacula...
Nahh .. This is not working for me ..
ruru - I can't deny that; I am she.
I had about 20 words or more I needed help with
wtg dan!
nup
Did he finish?
Hi Torg- good to see you!
ruru+ woosie
ALL tea is revolting! Go Coffee, Water, Kool-aid, and soda!
Good to be seen .
cofee coffee
Torg- please do not go
Hi Tor! did you hear T.T on DSC this morning?
bbiam
No .. I'm not at home so I did not hear DSC today ..
Dan- did you see fireworks
dan - tea is NOT revolting, but lots of coffees are.
HE has never liked tea Jacula
dan, i never see you drink coffee
Some tea is good ..
Debbinla...if you're reading this, Murphy's hit was NOT a home run.
torg - is this Hi and 'bye. Did you tempt and go away? 8 sound of heart breaking a bit*. grins.
the winner was a lady who's 4 year old SON found one...he asked what it was, so she explained. 20 minutes later, he had put it in the only orifice he logically could...
D'oh!!
EWWWW !
tea made with soda is good, as is tea made of hot chocolate!
Tea with SODA?? oMIGod! tEA WITH CHOCOLATE? bleurgh!
Jacula- he did that yesterday and itwas disturbing to quite a few babblers
I imagine that the story is going to get told at his wedding...he is 5 now, but that story will hold until then!
jac...he said made of...not with.
My heart is broken in so many bits I'm not sure if it will ever be put back together ..
as in NOT tea
Jac...MAKE the tea with soda (pour tea in a cup) or hot chocolate (pour hot wate over chocolate)...no tea used
Hi all -- just reading back in the chat
I would rather just dip a choc bicky in my tea thank you very much
Sorry Jac- when my brothers are like this .... not much stopping them... : )
geek
geek
opps
Hi Torg
Herin- is that an opinion?
No idea who the lad is or what he put up his bum. Must've missed that bit of the blog with the horror over the spoiling tea.
dr...why was that plural? what'd i do?
no its a free word
I think tea is a british/canadian and maybe aussie thing. The place we rented last winter didn't even have a kettle much less a teapot. Fortunately I knew ahead of time and took my own.
feminine hygene product
I always bring my own plunger/one cup filter thingie
Torg - re the heart brokn - I've got a published poem about that somewhere. I'll try to find it for you soon.
But I just spent a few enjoyable hours with a delightful person who has helped me realise that not all is horrible blackness ..
nan, it also varies in the U.S. - I didn't become a big tea-drinker 'til college on the east coast. CA is not big on tea
MOSt of my family drinks tea...including my son. I think I'm the only one that doesn't like it
iced tea is fairly popular here though
We were in CA -- and there weren't many non-Canadian tea drinkers
I am glad to hear that Torg- you had us worried last night
cyber - taking your own teapot and teacosy and teabags doesn't always help when going abroad ; the water's different and so it the milk. It just doesn't taste the same until you get back home.
oh Torg i have no idea what is happening but have a hug
I always use distilled water for my tea, so that doesn't make any difference.
true, dan, but not as big as it is in the south/midwest. In MO, my family always had at least one pitcher of iced tea (sweetened, of course). Unsweet, if we had strange company.
So, you might have had the most fantastic holiday, but the first thing you want when you get back home is 'a decent cup of tea'.
i just use instant tea...
yuck!
ewww...dave, I taught you better!
INstant Tea what the hades is instant tea?
ugh! Instant tea???
so i just got told "not to be the way I am"...any ideas how i should manage that?
Dave - instant tea as an anathaema!
just kidding...i brew my tea too
Jac please send it to me .. I would like to read that .. And I am sorry for what I did last night .. It was overly dramatic and a bit juvenile and I appreciate everyone's concern and I am sorry for being a ass ..
dan...everyone can change...admitting you have a problem is the first step.
Best selection of teas I found in CA was at World Market
Ok that is gross and up there with instant coffee
were you g***ing us? (Note the use of a grid word)
Torg - there is never total blackness, though it sometimes seems like it. If you just try to calm down and hold backa bit before 'doing something stupid', you will see the way out clearly lit.xxxxxx
The only instant tea i use is that stuff for peach tea iced drinks
*clears throat* My name is Dan, and I don't have a problem...
i actually brew my iced tea too...instant anything is pretty worthless.
ROFLOL!
Torg - I have no idea what you 'did' last night because, for once, I was tucked up in bed sleeping.
(Sorry, when you feed me a straight line like that...)
I think I've told this tale before, but anyway -- my very Brit mother and I were travelling on a train in North Carolina and went to the dining car for tea. There was a conference at the other end of the car between the waiters, and eventually we were presented with a cup of hot water and a teabag on a lettuce leaf.
hey dan...maybe dr can give you the list of what is wrong with you...like she was doing for me the other day.'
Torg- I am just glad you are ok..
DR...anything?
* Runs to check on Jake and get away
Jili, that is a great story!
DR is a chicken!
that's ok dr...my daughter was the one who said it would be a long list.
that's a good one jilli! does lettuce change the taste?
off to brew myself a cup before the flip...
Dave, your daughter would like to begin that list for you now, beginning with "ruiner of fun plans"
nan...make it a double.
And, Martha says Rheanna is mad at you, too.
Lady Grey?
I am not CHICKEN!
angel...tell her i could really ruin it and leave her home...she did miss school this week.
I appreciate the concern of all who are concerned .. And please know that I am relly okay .. I just have some weird days .. And to anyone else - Don't trouble yourselves .. And I am tired so I am going to bed now .. And I will see you all soon .. :)
nan...i generally drink earl grey...but I like lady grey too.
GNight Torg- Sleep well
see you soon Tor...and come home soon...DSC misses you
Maybe I'll try this grid tomorrow ..
Dave- you ruined th eplan?
* the plan?
Torg - I'll try to find the poem n the piles of paper, but, basically, it said that every time your heart breaks and gets glued together again, just like a pot it gets stronger, if the right type of glue has been used. If a stopgap, cheap glue has been used then it just falls into more shards whn thrown into the air again. In the end, you get so many shards you wonder if they can all be reunited. And then The Master Mender comes along.
eplan?
the computer version Dan
ahhh
Torg - I hope you saw my last post before you signed out/
someone was leaving early...i said no...i am the great ruiner of fun plans!
off for a smoke before the flip...bbs
oh- I thought itwas worse than that
the proper term is funsucker dave
careful spelling that
i tried to type bwa-hahahaha after...but it is not in the dictionary
jilli - a teabag on a letuce leaf? What was that all about?
Niters Jacs .. I can't bear listening to these dorks in the hotel lobby tonight .. Great Leaping Mother of Abraham Lincoln on a Pogo Stick ..What a batch of dorks! ..
yeah dr...the other way would burn.
Oh, no! I laughed so hard I snorted!
obviously they had no idea how to make tea.
or they were unsure how to "properly" serve it
jilli...the lettuce leaf was a side salad.
Cheers .. Now I'm out ...
Bye Torg!
It was the cup of hot water which really got us.
Try saying this, first slow and then fast, and faster: 'I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's mate. I'm only plucking pheasants 'cos the heasant plucvker's late.'
I see you can't even type it, jac, lol!
Damn! ^pheasant plucker's late.
Jilli - damn you for noticing that! But I knew you would.
that looks like trouble...
