they are the sweetest dogs! my first cavalier died at 6 years of heart failure. Chloe is 8, and she also has a heart murmur.
I read that they're prone to heart problems; i.e MVS (Mitral Valve Syndrome). Their life span is 6 - 9 years.
Sadly that is true. Since Chloe has no symtoms, she is not on any medication yet at 8,but the heart murmur is there.
They're still worth having, even if they don't live long

they 'know' for as far they understand how the brain works under stress. I have cptss and a damaged pelvic girdle. When I get too much stress (which happens too easily), the hormones in my brain start running riot and in combination with the other handicap, that sometimes leads to a kind of paralisation. My legs don't get the messages from the brain to make the right movements then. Not sure I explain this correctly.
